Speaker 1 (00:00):
And joining us now speaking of defense and what a
performance today. It's number thirty three in the scoreboard. Innthrety
Jennings joined us from the victorious Patriots locker room. Anthrety,
thanks for joining us in congratulations on a terrific win today. Hello, Hi, Anfrety.
Can you hear congratulations on the win today?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Inforny. What was it about today? How you guys came
out and wanted to play?
Speaker 3 (00:21):
It just seemed like the whole game you guys were
playing hard and dictating to the Bears offense. Was what
was just kind of the attitude and the mindset going
into this one.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
I think we just played overall, you know, good defense.
You know, we prided ourselves this whole week off, you know,
showing up with attitude and you know, stopping the run
and you know, just winning there, don and keeping the
quarterback in the pipe.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
So I know we're gonna talk a lot about that.
Oh sorry, go ahead, Anthony. You you still have us,
can you hear us?
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Okay, sorry about that. I didn't mean to cut you off.
I know we're going to talk a lot about the
pressure you guys had on Caleb Williams with all the sacks,
But what was the key for you guys really controlling
DeAndre Swift? Because I thought, especially early in the game
when you guys took over some you know, not so
great situations field position wise, you guys did a great
(01:15):
job of containing him. What was the key for you
guys fixing up the run defense?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah? I think we all just we played good. We
played with good run fundamentals. Everybody flew around, We gag
tackle and you know it really want a lot of
space for him to you know, get going. So you
know that that translated throughout the game, and you know,
we did a good job throughout the game, and you
know that that was the resources that we got.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
And for you, you pick up two sacks.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
You're one of seven different defenders today to register a
sack on Kayleb Williams. What does that do for the
defense when everybody is involved and getting those kind of
big plays.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Man, do a lot. You know, we kind of had
the momentum throughout the whole game. You know, got out
to a fan to start she finished, and uh, you
know that was pretty much the story of the whole game.
We you know, we just continue to keep our foot
on the gas and try to play a good complement
and football.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
When you have a game plan like that, Anthony, and
you know that the other team's a little shorthanded on
the offensive line, it's got to be some excitement among
that front seven. You know, you're gonna get some chances
to get to get after the passer. And it looked
like everybody had a chance today. Was there sort of
like one of those let's let's let's get to you
know that the quick start and get him in those
situations and let's get after it.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, uh, you know, we just we just wanted to
get him the third down and you know, uh, you know,
contain him. And you know, uh, we felt pretty good
about our metchos on the back end, and you know,
we just up front, we took upon ourselves to just
you know, try to get out to the quarterback and
you know we have to satitate.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Anthony. Saturday night, roll tied today Patch roll bears pretty.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Good weekend, right, Yeah, most definitely, long time Anthony.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
