Speaker 2 (00:20):
The World's a Virginal podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. I'm an award winning actor.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
You're an actor and an award winning film, not an
award winning actor.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
I'm an actor and an award winner.
Speaker 5 (00:42):
That was great. There's a lot of people that don't
have awards to their name, and I'm not one of them.
Speaker 6 (00:49):
Writer, now by that logic.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
And they're way better actors.
Speaker 5 (00:53):
So there you go. They come me from the dock
in last year because I was talking too much football writer.
They're like, you tell Evan to cut down on actually
analyzing what's going on in practice.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
My nephews are in line for Danny m Mondola, and
then the cheerleaders went by and they ran off.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Cheerleaders went by and they ran off.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
So I'm just excited to enjoy some more sixty eight
degree days of you.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
You were being snarky, but you really think that that
the other day when it was one o two was
better than this white years?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
What sun is?
Speaker 3 (01:28):
What could be better than what the sun is out?
You're yeah, you're on the sun make it a touch
to it because I forget the phrase that he used,
but the palpably unfair act or something that's.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
Actually in the rule book that if the team continuously
jumps offside to try to stop like a sneak, like
the touch push or something like that. I'm going to
figure wag the ref can literally give it. I don't
know why I start smoking it. It literally can, as
it's stupid. It's in the room book. I find your
when you were a kid's stories very interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
I found your stories boring his health.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
This is Patriot.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
It's Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's official website.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Tuesday here
at che Let's Stadium.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
I'm back, Freddy's back.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Sounded like Evan had his fastball last fight.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
A lot of me in the open.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah. A lot of people have commented that we may
have had the best substitute show of all time. I
don't know about that, but salt and pepper.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
But Evan was bringing the heat. It's Evan, it's Paul,
it's me, it's Chris Cassidy. It's going on filling in
in an off season show, Chris Cassidy Bettering Your Kids
to Work Day, better known for the Madden simulations during
the season. You're going to continue that this year?
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Of course.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Of course it is going to keep that going on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Anything new planned for that, maybe some guests, maybe some
special guests.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Just kind of keep the same camaraderie between Matisa and
I kind of keep it rolling.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Okay, all right, all right, so you ready to go today?
Speaker 5 (02:55):
I think so, yeah, let's do it. Okay, a couple
hours of one with you guys. I'm blessed, blessed, bless
wows Lasha, blessed?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Okay are you? Are you born blessed?
Speaker 5 (03:05):
Are right?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
You are blessed to be here. This is not something
If I had been notified about this before the show,
this would not have been taking place, all right, So
I would consider it blessed.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
That's really mean.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
You know, Chris goes way back to doing these kind
of things with stone Hill College.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Well, Chris used to do a lot of this stuff
with Mike and I when we used to do like
the Draft. Yeah, I thought that was before you.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
Once.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Once you came on, we can't have anybody else on
the podcast.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
That Evan jumps in, then I'm done for the day. No, no,
you do you do good, especially the offensive line because
you played offensive line once up time the ankle right
on the Patriots ross right.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
All right, So what are we talking about today? Is
the off season? Uh, you know, most of the Patriot
where it's are gone. You know, some stragglers here still
working out, but for the most part, the place is empty,
as it should be. Guys should be taking time off
getting ready. But there's you know, some NFL news, some
active trades going on. The big one yesterday with Miami
(04:18):
uh trading away or getting.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
Yeah, Jalen Ramsey, Yeah, Jan Ramsey and John hu Smith
to the Steelers and Mika Fitzpatrick and draft picks to
the Dolphins like an NBA trade, almost like a Usually
you don't see those player for player trades. And it
was weirdly reported. I think all the insiders are on vacation,
so they kind of got the trade like bit by bit,
(04:42):
Like first it was just Ramsey, and then it was
Mica and Ramsey and then John who Smith got thrown
in there somehow.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
So it's kind of big news around here because it
affects us AFC East Miami Dolphins, and I heard people say, well,
you know, they're kind of resetting, which is to me
weird because you got your quarterback. Why are you resetting
when you already have your quarterback.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Well, that's why you're resetting, because you just paid your quarterback.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
So now you have to like send away talent.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
That's the argument that was made around here for how
many decades in a row. The reason why the Patriots
were good is because Todd Brady took less, right. That
was what I was told for how many years? Yeah,
because you can't pay your quarterback, even though Patrick mahomes right, right,
but that was what everybody was told, right, once you
pay that quarterback, that's going to hurt your roster. That's
(05:32):
what Miami's doing. Jhonro Smith had to go because they
made the Ramsey thing is totally different. The Ramsey thing.
He wanted out. He wasn't playing okay, all right, Jonal
Smith wanted to be wanted to resign and make some money,
and Miami said, well, we can't do that. Now, it's crap.
I think Evan's right, like, well, resetting and they don't
(05:54):
have to.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I was just reading that their owner, you know, Stephen Ross. Yeah,
just bought forty seven percent of the Miami Open, which is, uh,
you know, top tier tennis tournament, big big tennis tournament
that has been happening at hard Rock Stadium for the
last couple of years. But now he's got a forty
seven ownership stake into that. So that's that's not chump
(06:16):
change that he's thrown around. So I don't think money's
an issue down there.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
He always throws around money, right, He's.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Gonna That's one thing going on down there. So like,
I just wonder, like how much faith do they have.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
In tua a lot?
Speaker 5 (06:31):
How much faith do they haven't the head coach in
the GM like different questions I did. I look at
it Miami, and I know it's a little bit like
worry about your own house because the Patriots have their
you know issues in the rebuild. But I look at
the Dolphins right now and I'm like, what are you doing?
Like I don't really understand what they're.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Trying to I don't either. That's why I'm bringing it up.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
Like their secondary now without Ramsey because manka fet fitzpatrick
second half of last year was not great for him
and he's he's maybe starting to slow down a little bit.
Like their secondary right now is on paper is not good.
Their offensive line is not particularly good either. They basically
have Tua, Tyree Kill and Jalen Waddle. That that's there.
(07:11):
That's their entire team. Also, j Smith had his best,
like pretty much year of his career last year, and
a lot a lot of that was to do with
the quarterback trouble and Tyler Huntley being the quarterback there,
so a little dump off here and there to Jonah Smith.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
But but he was productive.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
He was super productive.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
So that's just you watching the game, It's like, how
come we couldn't do that here?
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Johonnald Smith has pretty much done that everywhere he's been
except that when he was here. It's it's the strangest thing.
He's had success with Arthur Smith in Tennessee. Now he
goes back to Arthur Smith and Pittsburgh. He had a
decent year in Atlanta when the Patriots actually traded him
down there, and Chris is right, he had a really
good year last year.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
For from Pittsburgh's perspective, I don't think it's going to work,
but I understand like they're they're all in. They have
pushed the chips in the middle to try to get this,
you know, get some playoff wins and and get Tomlin
point in the right direction. It kind of feels a
little bit like the Jets. Maybe that's just because the
Aaron Rodgers last year, where it's either're gonna work tremendously
(08:06):
and they're gonna have a deep playoff run, or it's
gonna be an absolute dumpster fire. But Miami, I I
just I don't know. I don't know what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Uh, they're they're in limbo. But like their coaches, I
know it's not an id situation on thet so bottom line,
everybody has him as the on the hottest seat right now.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
So let's bring it back to the Patriots. Of the
Patriots now the number two team in the AFCs on paper,
I don't think so, No.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
But I do. I'm not telling you they're not going
to finish in second place.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
What do you think number two?
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Miami?
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Miami?
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Still, I just don't Injuries happened, the quarterback goes down
like he did last year, Patriots are better than them
without two quarterback, Patriots are better than them.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
I like the Patriots, but roster better like Miami has
more star power, maybe at the receiver positions and stuff,
but like defensively, you start looking at their defense like
Zack Steelers a really good underrated player on their defensive line,
but like their secondary, like I was earlier, if Minca
is truly cashed, like if.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
He's washed, Patriots have a better second.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Their secondary is is bad.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
I don't think that MinC is washed, though I think
he's had some some good years in Pittsburgh. I think
that's kind of a wash to me. Now you can
make an argument that the corner is more important than
the safety. A lot of people think Ramsey's gonna play
safety in Pittsburgh, so the age is really kind of
irrelevant only like like a two year difference. I think
(09:28):
a better player Ramsey at at the peak of his
career is. I think he's a better player. I think
off of last year. I don't think he's still I
like Fitzpatrick, I don't think that.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
I think Ramsey is still a little bit overpaid, even
though he's performing at a reasonably high level.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
I just claim the fame is getting in that fight, right.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, he's a good player, you know, he's a great player.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
I'm not saying he's not.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
I just think he's at overrated.
Speaker 5 (09:53):
I just think.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
K right, yeah, remember that. I think he pulled his help.
Somebody pulled somebody's helmet. All they got into it.
Speaker 5 (10:02):
It was a pretty good he's he's a feisty guy.
But DK Metcalf and him. I remember DK Metcalf came
into the league and was like, this is when Ramsey
was at like the peak of his powers, and he
was on some podcast and he said, nobody in the
league can cover me. Whichevery receiver says, and then the
guy rebuttal was like, not even Jaalen Ramsey. And he's
like especially not Jalen Ramsey or like something like, yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Have no knowledge this whatsoever. I gotta pay more attention.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Freddy all right, you know they don't show that on
the red zone.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
That's a good point. The NFL fronds upon that kind
of stuff.
Speaker 7 (10:34):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
I mean it's not Mike Evans Marshawn Lattimore, but it's
it's there. He's got into subscraps.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Now that one the events Marshal line of more I
know about that one classic classic battle.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
I think the Dolphins can be like decent if the
offense stays healthy. But outside of that, I think defensively
the Patriots are better.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Overall, well, I think the secondary is better. I like
some of the I like Sealer, I like Jalen Phillips,
I even kind of like Bradley a little bit like
I don't I don't know. I think if TWA gets hurt,
then they'll they don't have because I was just saying
to Evan off Air, the problem with the way Miami
is structured is if Tua gets hurt, you don't just
(11:13):
lose two, will you lose wattle in Hill? Right, And
that's an issue when your offense is basically what the
engine that makes the team go. It can't be so
reliant on one guy's particular skill set who has had
such a sketchy concussion history, Like.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
How confident are you in him? Like this year? Would
you say?
Speaker 3 (11:33):
How can you be confident he's going to play seventeen games?
And I'm not trying to be disrespectful of course, just history,
just history.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
So they got rid of John O. Smith, but Darren
Waller came out of retirement and now he's going to Miami.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Yeah, they were actively on the tight end market. There
was a lot of chatter about that after the Johnny
Smith trade. So Darren Waller comes out of retirement, a
one year retirement, heartbreak for him, Kelsey Kwong and uh
he he comes out?
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Do you think so? Do you think there's a chance.
But the Waller story to me is interesting, like guys
coming out of retirement, is there a chance that you know,
NFL guy, a lot of wear and tear and then
all of a sudden he's had some injuries. Now all
of a sudden he's fully healthy. Yeah, because Waller is
(12:23):
a better player than John Smith had his peak, but
we haven't seen Waller's peak in a while. John of
Smith is coming off a peak here, So like, can
Waller be what he was, you know, back with the Raiders.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
I mean that's his peak, that's true. And I feel like,
like I said, I mean, Johnny had his best season
last year, Ken Daryl, Darren Waller kind of had that
same sort of I.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Think if him as being there are different different a
different kind of athlete at that position. You know, he's
kind of a big receiver. I don't know, I don't
know what he is now.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Yeah, I just think the stars are lining up for
the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Second place. Let's starts the lining up they can finish.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
It just feels like going to steal a game from Buffalo,
and who knows what can happen.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
It feels like Miami's a little bit of a ticking
time bomb. Honestly, Like, I think that that could really
unravel quickly.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Oh yeah, I would agree with you guys on the
volatility of Miami.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
Sure.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
I think that could absolutely unravel on him into a
four or five win season.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Absolutely, yeah, all right, eight five five past five hundred
is the hotline. The other thing that happened today is
the Patriots released a trailer for Forge and Foxborough episode two,
coming out July eighteenth. It says, and uh, are we Alex?
(13:46):
We got Alex in the booth?
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Are we ready?
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Why don't we play that trailer for everybody in case
you missed it, Go ahead and hit that.
Speaker 6 (13:53):
Finished great team, go out to practice a different feet.
That's just what we're going to do, because that's the
only way that our identity could take off.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
This is professional football.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
This is your job, not on scholarship. You don't get
a Rextra year.
Speaker 5 (14:06):
Better be to.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
You're not tough, You're our complaining.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
This way you can't continue to statement you got like
two Step decided to get out.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
That kind of drill there, then good go work my tip,
go rep get off.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Got it?
Speaker 1 (14:24):
We can remember it, but we can also work together,
all right, think.
Speaker 9 (14:30):
Sun turns twenty one.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
We're in this business to win and to help players
improve the folk that they embraced, the change people.
Speaker 8 (14:40):
I would have fit with two Hunt.
Speaker 6 (14:42):
I feel like I'm blessed to do this. So I
wake up with that that grind every day.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
That's only that's something with you ve.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Let's go, let's go lfg right, huh yeah, absolutely, all right.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Yeah, So that's coming out July eighteenth, and I can
that's just a teaser of course, of what you're gonna
get in the full episode. So good stuff.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
It's gonna be interesting.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
I mean, following around the off season, there's a lot
that happens, like we said in the previous episode, that
happens behind the scenes that you don't usually get to see.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
And I think that, well around here we don't right now,
we do.
Speaker 5 (15:21):
Yeah, but I think it's it's a really great piece
and it just kind of encapsulates everything that has happened
is going to happen ahead, you know.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah, yeah, so this will document everything that happened since
the draft.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
Basically, it's exciting to get the players involved. Yeah, the
first one was more front office rabel centric because of
the time of year. But I always think like things
like this are at their best when the players are
driving it because they're the personalities. They are, the stars,
are the faces. So it'd be cool to hear from
all of them and have them more intricately involved. And
(15:55):
I love hearing you know from the trailer. A little
bit of Josh McDaniel's in there as well, such an
important person now in their coaching staff. So that's the
part I'm looking forward to the most, is we get
to see a little bit of football behind the scenes
and not just roster building.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Sure fun, Sure, well, you know, one step at a time.
I'm gonna break it down, one step at a time.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Well, I mean, like, I just hope we aren't giving
away cadences or anything like that, you know, let's be
careful about that.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
So July eighteenth, that'll be five days before the first
public practice.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
For a training camp. Yep, so good timing there, crazy
get us ready for training camp.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Exciting it's coming up. I'm gonna have two joint practices
this year, right.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
I keep saying that, like.
Speaker 5 (16:37):
As much as we're still in that in that dead
period right now, it's only three weeks, right, it's right
around the corner, and once July fourth, it's then like it's.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
It's a bittersweet because I want to get the season going.
I want actually, you know, I want the games that start,
but I don't want summer to end. Like summer is
so short.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Summer ends, you know, training camps it's quick.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Although there's a different energy and players to come back
when training camp starts, it's just a whole different atmosphere.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
See, I still get jacks like that when the season starts,
Like when week one comes around, there's a jump, there's
a buzz, everybody is excited, everybody's going I know, all
the cliche, everybody's going on like everybody's excited. And I
still get that juice even after my third season.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
But I think the NFL longer than Chris has been alive.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Yeah, yeah, that's accurate.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
All right, So trailer trailer July eighteenth. Can't wait for that,
and that'll be on YouTube, Go to YouTube. I'm not
sure I think we might just put it on YouTube
for this one, I think not sure.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
We push it both.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Okay, all right, all right eight five five Pats five
hundred is the hot line. Let's take some calls. People
are chopping at the bit to get online.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Early for calls for you. You're not in a post
vacation form uat. It's off season.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Wow, tough season.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
I didn't have to do this until about quarter one.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Nate's in Connecticut. What's up?
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Nate?
Speaker 9 (18:13):
Hey, guys, can you gotta hear me?
Speaker 10 (18:14):
Well?
Speaker 11 (18:14):
Yeah, so, so, first I just want to say, I
know Fred and Chris if you guys weren't here for this,
but when I last called in, I said I was
in a movie theater and people were asking what moved.
Speaker 12 (18:28):
As saw and I saw the New Mission Impossible.
Speaker 11 (18:33):
I thought it was really good.
Speaker 13 (18:36):
And uh but yeah, that's what I was.
Speaker 11 (18:38):
That's what I was doing that day. Okay, But anyways,
to get back on topic, my question for you guys
is would you be interested in trading UH for t J.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Watt?
Speaker 12 (18:48):
Because I know he is unhappy with his.
Speaker 11 (18:50):
Current situation in Pittsburgh and I know we could probably
beef up the past rusher bit.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Yeah yeah, thanks, thanks, State. Well, you know, that would
be counter to what Pittsburgh seems to be doing if
they actually lose them. They said that they're not interested
in anything, but you always say that, Yeah, absolutely, I'd
be interested in TJ. Wating.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
So that is part of the analysis that we missed.
Like it looks like Evan's right. You know, they're putting
a lot on Rogers and they're all in. They think
that they have a shot, they think that probably the
windows closed, but they have to resign him, they have
to extend wat Yeah. If they're going to do this
and then not extend arguably the best player, right then
(19:32):
for what right, what do we all in on if
we're not going to take care of our talent.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
So I imagine they'll figure that out. But yeah, i'd
be interested.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Yeah, yeah. I mean for the Patriots, I feel like
a TJ. Water, a Trey Hendrickson. It's probably a short
term thing for them. You know, they're both over the
age of thirty. But it's similar to Diggs at receiver,
where he gives you a guy right and right now.
I don't know if their pass rush truly has Maybe
on the interior they do, but on the outside they
(20:00):
don't really have a double digit sack guy, you know,
a big star out there. So whether it's one of
those two guys from that division, it either one of
those guys just kind of elevates the talent of the
pass rush overall, and.
Speaker 8 (20:14):
T J.
Speaker 5 (20:14):
Watt probably over hendricks Yeah, probably, But I think both
of them are good players and would be upgrades for
the Patriots question.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Though, Yeah, because they are both very effective. Hendrickson myself,
I think Watt's a better player, but I'd like to
look at the the age breakdown and.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
It's Hendrickson a little younger.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
They're both third, oh both, Yeah, TJ.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Wat third bit more of a playmaker, like I think
Hendrickson's a little more of a sack.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Guy, yeah TJ.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
TJ's thirty, I know that, and I know I'm pretty
sure Henderson is thirty as well. Okay, age a little bit.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
I look at those two players the way Even't just
described it, which again, this is why everybody was so
excited about the Salt and Peppa show last last Tuesday.
I think Wat's a little bit more of a not
just a sack guy. I think he's a little bit
more of a playmaker and of all around game, whereas
Hendrickson is a really really good pass rush. You don't
(21:04):
get me wrong, I take either one of them.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Okay, yeah, yeah, but I don't would be counter to
what Pittsburgh says they want to do or showing what
they want to do.
Speaker 5 (21:13):
So I don't personally see a scenario where he gets
traded anywhere, because I, like you said, I think Pittsburgh
kind of is trying their best to make sure that
everyone sticks together there with TJ Watt and that deal.
But I think Henderson could provide a boost.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
In some way.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
It just gives you a little bit of a runway
to hopefully draft and develop one of your own guys here,
maybe next year in the first round, whereas the Patriots
right now, we're really focused on the offense and then draft,
and rightfully so, so maybe next year you get a
young stud pass rusher in here to develop alongside a
Trey Hendrickson or to Day Watt for a year. And
the thing is, I mean you already have these role
(21:48):
guys too, like Landry, and you have Calevon Chase On
and you have who am I missing? I mean, Jenny's
more of a run stopper like these guys that are
on your edgeke On White's trying to develop himself into
someone who can be said pass rusher. So I mean,
you don't have anyone with that like factor yet you're
still trying to find him, and I think Henderson could
provide that. But for me, I personally would say Hendrickson,
(22:10):
if you want a value, pass Rusher over TJ. Watt.
But it's kind of my take on it. It's tough
because you know, Max Crosby got three for like one
oh three, right, and so that's now the going rate
over that entire age bracket.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
And he's about Yeah, I was gonna say he's about
that age.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
Yeah, Hendrickson Watt, you're looking at a three year, twenty
five million dollar a year contract. That's what they all want,
and that's what they're not getting from their current teams.
And that's sort of the price because of Max Crosby
getting that contract with them with the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
So Crosby is younger, Yeah, Crosby is only twenty seven.
The other two with thirty, oh okay, so he would
probably get more than one of those deals. But yeah,
that's the kind of those that's the caliber player you're
talking about. Yep.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Todd's in North Carolina. Hate Todd.
Speaker 8 (23:00):
You guys what you're doing good.
Speaker 9 (23:03):
So I just want to thank you again because you
guys get me through the White's local crisis. First, it
was when I had can to Fort Sas coming through
the rough parts and my dad just passed.
Speaker 7 (23:16):
And you guys, again, sorry to hear that.
Speaker 8 (23:20):
Got me through that. No, it's okay.
Speaker 9 (23:21):
It was expected like eighty nine. It was tough, but
you guys are just there for us, and I just
want to thank you all for being in France. Now
my grief is with that mister Christian, not the christ
the CIA, but the other one down in whatever, California.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yeah, Christian in La Yep.
Speaker 8 (23:40):
Yeah, that boy was just over the top.
Speaker 9 (23:45):
Annoying as hell, and I just you know, he's just
this stuff all the time.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Ye know. Well, Christian is the new Mark in the Bay.
You know he knows what he's doing.
Speaker 9 (23:58):
Worse, because he does know what he's doing.
Speaker 8 (23:59):
That to Mark the b that's another story.
Speaker 9 (24:04):
I want to know what one thing you have to
feel really confident about everything right now after you've got
to the little mini camps and stuff that really sewn
as a positive field.
Speaker 7 (24:14):
I was on that, So what's what's a positive for you?
Speaker 3 (24:18):
What is what is the question?
Speaker 2 (24:19):
So I think he said, what what are you positive?
What do you what's a positive for you coming out
of camp and all that.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
I just fear that missed our show last week we did.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
I would just say, you know, the people that they added,
they it seems to me that they've brought in some quality,
you know, not superstars, but really good solid football players, uh,
to this team, especially on defense, and I I'm excited
about that.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
I feel like there's a really positive energy in the
area now, especially in the stadium, and uh, you know,
I think because of that, it kind of gives the
energy the practice a little more juice as well. So
I think a lot of people are excited for what's
been added. I mean, some some solid, solid players Stefon Diggs,
Milton Williams on squad. I mean, you know, just trying
(25:11):
to iron out some details, but they're I mean a
lot of good energy.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
I was going to go both the way you guys
just said details and vrable like, I feel like they're
they're gonna take advantage of bad football like that. That's
that's the bar that he set for year one, and
I feel like his attention to detail and his energy
and the focus that he brings to practice that we
got to see and he really is one of those
(25:38):
guys that after every single rep, every single play, there's
a correction, there's coaching, there's hands on coaching. Uh, you know,
he's getting out there and he's in the middle of
it all. And I think that that will hopefully make
them less mistake prone and less you know, lose on
the details and things like that that can you if
you're just a fundamentally sound football team. We've seen this, like,
(26:00):
you can be an eight and nine win football team
just off of that, and hopefully the talent that they've
added can elevate them to more than that.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
But what do you think is the biggest factor to
making a team fundamentally sound, like you're talking about is
it the head coach period?
Speaker 5 (26:15):
Well, I think obviously, you know, it's easier to be
fundamentally sound when you're talented, right, Like it's talent, you know,
it's like the good players play well. Shocker.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
But at the same time, but I remember the Raiders
over the years had a lot of talent, but they
were always lead the league and penalties.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
I would say, like not, you know, the buck has
to stop somewhere with it right like and having a
no nonsense sort of approach to it where that's not
the standard, Like the standard has to be higher than
that and what it's been the last couple of years.
And when you have somebody like Rabel who is adhering
and holding everybody to that standard every single day, I
(26:53):
think that's how you manifest that, that's how you build
that culture of you know, where you need to be
locked in all the time. And I think that there's
a certain standard that they've lost sight of in recent
years that hopefully that they can get back.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
So I guess like one of the bigger indicators that
we'll get in training camp is like when something happens
that is not fundamentally sound like a stupid penalty or something,
that it becomes a big deal visually.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
That we can accountability.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, Like you know, we saw like last year and
maybe even the year before, like you know, guys would
jump off side and they do a half hearted lap
or not even a lap, they go up and down
the field, you know, and it wasn't that big a deal.
Maybe this year we'll see like when players do that
type of stuff, it's gonna be a big deal.
Speaker 7 (27:40):
Maybe the whole unit has to run.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
I would say last year that was never a problem
with Belichick. Yeah, there was no half hearted accountability with Belichick.
That was a major deal. When they screwed up in
training camp practices, that was addressed last year. It really
wasn't and we noticed it. We noticed the differences. I
would say, you or your example of the Raiders to
(28:02):
me is not really like there's a difference between not
being fundamentally sound and committing a lot of penalties. Yea,
I think the Raiders meant a lot of penalties on purpose.
That was part of how they played. They wanted to intimidate,
they wanted to push the envelope, they wanted to you know, yes,
I think it. Sometimes they wanted to hurt people. That's
(28:22):
how they played. They used intimidation as a means to
win games. I think when you have problems fundamentally and
Evan talked about accountability, I totally agree with that. When
you're not talented enough, sometimes you have to do things
to compete. You have to jump off side because you're
worried about getting beat and the offensive line. You have
(28:44):
to maybe tug and grab when you're covering because you're
not as good as the guy that you're trying to cover.
That leads to lack of fundamentals. So I think Evan,
by starting off, I think the first thing you said
was talent. I totally agree with that.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Didn't The Chiefs lead the league in false start penalties
because of Jawan Taylor.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
Jawan Taylor is the exam the perfect example of the
guy that I'm talking about. He stinks and he has
to jump offside all the time.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Yeah, he also lines up incorrectly, like all the time.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
But yeah, but why does he line up incorrectly be
a head start?
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (29:15):
Yeah, I think there's also just an element. I remember
Dante Scarnekia bringing this up about when the locker room
starts to police itself, and you know, when the other
players in the room are starting to hold people at
the standards and not allow for those.
Speaker 14 (29:30):
Bad habits to He's going to be that that officer
that sheriff maybe not to jump in Hunter Henry maybe,
like is he that maybe one of the older guys
on the offense at this point?
Speaker 5 (29:42):
Actually, it's a good question. I think that's probably the
one question that I have because, let's face it, you
know Drake Mason his second year. You like to hope
that he evolves into a leader at some point, but
he's got a lot on his shoulders already. To then
ask a twenty two to twenty three year old kids.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Morgan Moses seems like a good teacher. Is he an enforcer?
Speaker 3 (29:58):
That's a good one, Morgan, This would be a good one.
Speaker 8 (30:01):
You know.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
Defensively, I think that a lot of it's gonna be
a lot of rabels guys, you know, Harold Landry's like
Robert Splaine, you know those types of guys that have
a history with this coaching staff, that have a history
with Rabel and and uh, you know our veteran guys
in the league. I think he's expecting those to be
his circle the wagons type of guys.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
All right, let's see who's up. Deshaun's in Virginia. Hate DeShawn.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
Hello guys a long time?
Speaker 2 (30:28):
How was it going.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Good?
Speaker 4 (30:31):
I wanted to say, like, when I hear lay Faint
shows guys and people talk, I don't think that guys
given this Patty overall, like uh uh enough crazy because
when people talk about these teams in our division. Yeah,
they're they're good. Well, I think people going about off
their history it's probably the past three teams or whatever.
(30:52):
But people understand too, like there's probably gonna be like
the best version of the past team they probably ever
feet in the past few years. I mean, they got
pretty good key guys and key positions like a corner safety,
all the other kind of stuff down druse, d line
and whatever that. I quite say that this might be
the best group, but past brushes I probably have five
party get podcast for the passes since eight because even
(31:13):
doing it when they were pretty good, I won't be
confident those guys, but they were doing pretty well, just
game up front to get pressure. But these guys, I mean,
they have enough guys I believe you can actually win.
They are the biggest thing people are talking about too.
If this offense gets going with this defense, I can't
go as far as to say they can probably win
twelve games. That's why I have far I'm not confident here.
(31:34):
This coming from a person that was not compid in
the Patriot whatsoever in the time three seas guy not
like that person down, but the person I'll see right now,
these guys are pretty formal enough to make suff happen,
and it makes the improbable happen. Well if I'm crazy.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
Here, I mean, but I hear what you're saying. But
like you say that, you know they're not getting enough respect.
I think they are.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
I think there's a lot of people like really setting
a high a higher bar than maybe is realistic for
the Patriots, both locally.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
You know here in New England and national games. Yeah,
and nationally.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
I think people are really high on the Patriots right now,
and I think they're expecting big improvement. I don't know
if that's realistic, though, DeShawn. You know, like I hear
what you're saying. You know, these teams in the ACS
might be meeting the best version of the Patriots that
they've seen in a few years. That could be true.
I was just gonna say, the last few years they've
(32:25):
been horrid. So a better version doesn't really mean playoffs.
We hope it will, but being an improved team from
over the last two years doesn't.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Mean a lot at this point.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
You know, we'll see, Like I hope everything comes together,
but a lot has to come together, all right, Yeah,
thanks to Sean.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
The pieces are there for them. To be one of
those worst to first teams that we see every year.
Has happened, but can we let it happen? Like I
just feel like right now, yeah, we can all look
at all these teams on paper and say we like
this team, we don't like that team.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
But it doesn't mean anything.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
But I think I don't.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
I don't hear anyone saying now the Patriots are gonna
suck this. No, no, I totally agree with you. I
think there's an unbelievable amount of optimism, both locally and national.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Only one person, your guy lipshats, oh well, he hates
Josh McDaniels.
Speaker 8 (33:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:16):
Do you think the fall expectation is playoffs or do
you think it's like more okay, like let's just win
some games, get to like that five hundred level. Like
I've kind of heard both sides. I mean, I feel
like playoffs. Obviously everybody wants to make the playoffs. But
are people still happy with the team if they don't.
I don't think they will be because I think the
expectations have gotten a little bit.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
I think they're on a whack.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, but if they are playing meaningful
football in December and jails.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
I think you'll know what when you see it. Yeah,
then I'm on with Chris, Like, you know, show improvement,
play better, you know, build, he's build something. Have your
quarterback look like he's the real deal. Like, I think
there's plenty of things they can do without making the
playoffs or without making a run in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
That would be, That's what I think.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
But just play play. I mean, they've won eight games
the last two years, and now we're not given. We
had this last week a little bit when you were away,
someone said, I don't think it'll be good enough if
they just win, you know, ten games to get knocked
out in the first round of the playoffs. And I
was I almost fell off the chair.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
If they win, like, and I'll be disappointed when they
get knocked out if they get knocked at when I
when I get over that.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Big picture wins would be I mean, I don't think
ten wins is completely out of the Roman possibility either,
by the way, but like, if you're not happy that,
if that a team that won four games last year
wins ten the next year, I would room for something else.
Speaker 5 (34:39):
I would compare it to sort of the Bengals last
year where it's more of a negative light for where
the Bengals were they had it came down. I think
one game scenario for the Bengals to get into the
playoffs and them not making it, it is way more
negative than if the Patriots are fighting the.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Seas different things, super Bowl aspirations that didn't even make
the playoffs, right.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
And that's my point is like, like I feel like
that's how people should be looking at this Pacers team
in a way, like if you get to that point
and you don't make it, it's gonna be frustrating.
Speaker 7 (35:08):
The quarterback I want to be every year.
Speaker 5 (35:10):
Yeah, So I just think we've we got to learn
from twenty twenty one. In twenty twenty one, they did
a lot of the same things where they had this
big free agency hall at a young quarterback and they
won ten games and made the playoffs. But it was
in hindsight you could tell that there was a ceiling
to the talent, especially at the quarterback position that just
(35:31):
wasn't going to be good enough. So if Drake may
plays the way that all of us hope that he
plays and takes that true year or two leap and
his established franchise quarterback. Even if they don't win as
many games as they did in twenty twenty one, we're
all going to come out of it feeling bad.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
As well, right, And that's why I keep saying I'm
not going to dismiss ten wins as you know, like
that's the path to ten wins is Drake May. Yeah,
the roster itself is not quote unquote that good. But
if the quarterback does what Jayden Daniels did for Washington
last year, with CJ. Stroud has done for Houston the
last two years, then you can win ten games and
(36:07):
make the playoffs, right, Yep, Yeah, I think that's I
know it might not sound like rational, but that's how
important the quarterback isn't that.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
But I fear though that it's like to bring him
up to twenty one again, like because of the way
that and look, maybe he plays a totally different style
and coaches a totally different style, but because of the
way Rabels teams have played in the past, my fear
is that they're gonna win a bunch of games like
in twenty twenty one, where there wasn't a whole lot
of Yeah, I'd be unfortunately sustainability to it, like if
(36:38):
they win a bunch of seventeen fourteen rock fights and
Drake May just looks.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Middling, Now you're still worried about your offense.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
I'd rather win eight games with Drake May thrown for four.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Getting back to Deshaun's call, I'd be My fear is
that people are putting too high expectations.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
I agree for sure, that's my fear. Yeah, I think
I've heard more of that than underrated.
Speaker 5 (37:02):
I also think people will be more frustrated the team
does make the playoffs and just get shelled in the
first or in the wild card or something, rather than
like I said, like just fighting.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Yeah, you want to be competitive being I would say
right now, I want to be tough. They make the
playoffs and they get blasted in the first round, that's okay,
it's gravy. Making the playoffs to me, is successful and.
Speaker 5 (37:22):
That's what I'm If they play like Kansas City or
Buffalo in the first round in the playoffs and they
get waxed, I'm not going to come in here and
be mad at them. But if they play a team that's.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Not well, I mean, if they made the playoffs, if
they wont let's say they win the AFC East and
they they host a playoff game and then they get waxed.
I'm not going to be happy about that, but I'm saying,
you get the seventh spot right next weekend. No matter
who you play, there's going to be better than.
Speaker 5 (37:44):
I just feel it more to Evan's point of like,
you know that twenty twenty one team making the playoffs
and then just kind of throwing up a goose egg
in Buffalo, and again, I know the talent was a
little different, and they're I mean, on paper, at least
in my eyes, they're a little more of a talented
team this season. But I feel like those expectations with context.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Is everything, and you have to remember what happened in
twenty one. The second half of the season.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
You could see, Yeah, I just don't think there are
any more talent here as a team, and they were
in twenty one. I think Evan's point about the free
agent class and stuff. They brought in better players just
like they did in twenty one, but it's always a
quarterback is really good. I think Mac Jones held that
team back, and they held mac Jones back in the
beginning of the season, and that didn't help them. I
(38:27):
think he wasn't capable of doing any more than he did. Yeah,
and I think time has sort of proven that Drake
May is capable of doing more than that. And he's
in year two, which is a big difference in my opinion.
That's why I think the potential is much higher. The
ceiling is much higher for this team. I don't think
it's any more talented than it wasn't twenty one, but
(38:49):
I think that Drake May has the ability to lift
it to a higher level.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
I want to California.
Speaker 7 (38:55):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (38:55):
Tim?
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Mal Vrabel's a better coach than Belichick.
Speaker 7 (38:57):
What's up, Tim?
Speaker 8 (39:00):
How's it going good? Hello?
Speaker 3 (39:05):
Tim?
Speaker 8 (39:05):
Hello?
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Hello?
Speaker 3 (39:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, we can hear you.
Speaker 15 (39:09):
So first time, first time, long time.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Sorry about that first time long time. I was getting
caught up.
Speaker 15 (39:14):
With the last Thursday's episode over the weekend, and you'll
ask some people calling in with their game stories, and
I want to share it to real quick.
Speaker 7 (39:21):
If that's all right, Oh sure, go ahead, it's the
off season.
Speaker 15 (39:24):
First one was the coolest Patrios moment that I got
a see in person. Was my first time at to
let Stadium. I got to see Tom Brady throw a
five hundred touchdown pass. That was the coolest one I experienced.
But my favorite Patriots game moment I had was probably
one of the worst Patriots games to go to. The
Raiders won a couple of years back.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
But as we were going up to.
Speaker 15 (39:43):
Stadium, me and my fiance and she's wheeling me up,
and this gentleman stops as he says, you know, if
I had the time, i'd sit here with you and
we're gett you with some stories. But I had to
stop you and say hi because you were were in
my son's jersey and it was Jackie Slater, Mattie Slayer's father,
who incidentally, actually I saw at.
Speaker 8 (39:59):
My first NFL game ever.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
Cool.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
So those are my two little toys I just want
to share with y'all.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
Well, it's so think their great. You gotta are you
planning to come to a game this year?
Speaker 8 (40:13):
That's this year?
Speaker 15 (40:13):
Unfortunately it's a little it's political. I'm in the wheelchair
now and travel the not the easiest, but any time
they come out to California, I do try.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
And make it okay awesome. Well, thanks for calling, Tim,
appreciate the call. Let's go to Dallas. John's on the phone,
Hey John, Hey, guys.
Speaker 9 (40:31):
How you'll doing.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 9 (40:34):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (40:34):
You good?
Speaker 4 (40:34):
How are you doing?
Speaker 3 (40:35):
I'm doing fine? How are you doing? John good?
Speaker 16 (40:39):
I'm happy to hear the nice, happy inflection of your tone.
Sometimes you dound a little down trodden. I worry about you.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Yeah, No, usually I'm just mad.
Speaker 5 (40:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (40:50):
Well, hopefully hopefully you're enjoyed some summer sun and the
weather's good and you can be more than that. A
couple of thanks for you, guys. One quick question us
some of your alumnus, myself, any any any motion with
Brandon Crossley? Has he done anything?
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Is he still in camp? What's the story with him?
Speaker 2 (41:08):
What did he say?
Speaker 5 (41:09):
Brendan Crossley?
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Evan?
Speaker 5 (41:12):
Now, they're not much to report on him.
Speaker 7 (41:14):
No, it's deep cut.
Speaker 16 (41:15):
Yeah, that's that's about what I figured. He was a
middling performer at SMU. But you know, I just wanted
to check out my guy.
Speaker 7 (41:22):
Okay, so he's your guy from s m U. All right,
that makes sense.
Speaker 8 (41:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (41:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (41:27):
Second thing, if any guys read Belichick's book.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
No, no, I mean I'm almost done with Gary Meyer's book,
the Belichick Versus Brady book.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
Oh Belichick book that he wrote. Yeah, I have not
seen that and I haven't read that, have you.
Speaker 16 (41:42):
Yeah, I'm surprised to hear you guys, have any I
just got done with it. I lived looking for a
bunch of pat exactly if you're looking for a bunch
of Patriots anecdote. It's not necessarily the best read in
the world, but from a you know, psychology of the
game perspective, you know why he did some of the
things he did, and he's not going to tell you
why he.
Speaker 9 (42:01):
Benched Malcolm Butler.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
But I think it's I think it's worth picking up.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
I really enjoyed it, Okay, so I'll, you know, eventually
I'll give it a read. Probably, thanks for the call, John,
appreciate it. Yeah, I'm good. Well, the thing is, like,
you know, a lot of people have read it, and
you would figure if there was anything really cool, we
would have heard about it, and we haven't.
Speaker 7 (42:24):
And so I'm like, I'm not in a rush to
pick it up.
Speaker 8 (42:27):
You know.
Speaker 5 (42:28):
I like a good like sports biography, especially about players
ever before my time that I'm too young to have watched,
but like these types of like art of winning, you know,
like that type of stuff. I don't have much.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
I read Lombardi's book you know, Okay, it.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Was you know you guys big readers. Do you like
to read?
Speaker 2 (42:47):
Yeah? I know you young kids don't read reading?
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Is it's not It's not that I don't like to read.
I love to read.
Speaker 5 (42:52):
It's just I don't know if I can sit down
and open up a book.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
It's my problem. Is I enjoyed it?
Speaker 2 (42:59):
I just it's but you can spend four hours scrolling
on Instagram.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
I like to go outside, fred and enjoy. You shouldn't read.
It's good for you, it helps you.
Speaker 12 (43:15):
Know.
Speaker 5 (43:15):
I think it's a pretty decent reader. But I think
I don't know. I just I'd rather be watching something.
It's very cliche to get. But reading does make you
a much better writer. Like reading people that are better
at writing than you, and reading how they write and
how they structure things and things like that. If you
want to be a reporter, if you want to be
a writer, it actually does make.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
You much better. What do you want to be, Chris?
Speaker 3 (43:39):
When you grow up? I don't know, you know, grown
going to grow up?
Speaker 5 (43:46):
Definitely grown.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
All right. Got a lot of emails, A lot of emails.
Let's see Ford and Savannah Georgia, says Chris when Chris
said that he was blessed to be here. It made
me laugh because last night I was driving home and
thinking about what was happening tomorrow, and I got extremely
excited when I realized it was a Patriot's Unfiltered Day.
(44:12):
I don't know exactly what that says about me as
a person, but I just want to say once again,
you guys are my favorite podcasts and it brought me
so much joy and entertainment over the years.
Speaker 7 (44:21):
Thanks for all you do.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
When I count my blessings, I count Patriots Unfiltered as well, Chris.
Speaker 5 (44:26):
So there you go.
Speaker 7 (44:30):
Two guys are who are.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Blessed porns hashtag blessed.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
Hashtag blessed Sean Mackison, Freeland, Pennsylvania. This offseason, after listening
to Tom Currin's podcast, I posed this question to mainly
Paul and friends who are around in the late nineties
or the present day. What is your favorite and what
is your most forgettable moment in the locker room for
(44:55):
you guys covering the team. And then he has a
trivia question, but favorite and most forgettable moment in the
locker role?
Speaker 3 (45:02):
So can I just take a guess that Tom Comeren
talked about his altercation with Monty Beisel problem is. One
of his most memorable was the published I'll be here
longer than you, right, he.
Speaker 7 (45:12):
Said to him, And he was right.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
He was right by a lot. Yeah, huh. I had
a couple of memorable altercations that were kind of funny.
Ted Washington was a tough guy to deal with. I'm
not going to tell the whole story, but I wanted
to do a feature on him. He was a very
intimidating guy, didn't talk to the media very much. Gave
my pitch and he just never responded to it, and
(45:36):
Bobby Hamilton started yelling at him. Oh really Yeah, He's like,
why did you know? What are you doing that for?
There you go, this is Poulie wa what are you doing?
Like he's one of us. And then he turned around
and he was like, let me go to my whole
speel again. He goes, okay, let's meet tomorrow. And I
talked to him about the story and long story short,
I write the whole feature, which is all about sort
of his charitable work, like it wasn't really about football.
(45:59):
It was a feature. It was a little bit outside
the box. And he comes up to me the next day.
He's got the Patriots Football Weekly in his hand and
he's walking toward me. I have my back to him,
and Andy Hart is standing in front of me, looking
over my shoulder like he had just seen a ghost
as Ted Washington, who's six' six and all of three
(46:20):
hundred and fifty plus, pieces and he's coming at me
like he looks like he wants to do some. Damage
And andy THOUGHT i was. Dead and he just comes
and he puts his arm on my, shoulder just puts
his hand down on my. Shoulder AND i turned around
AND i literally wanted to go and see IF i
could find some toilet. Paper and he just said thank,
(46:43):
you AND i was, like, so you're, welcome and he
just said it's the first time anybody had ever really
written a story about him that didn't have anything to
do with his, Size, okay, Yeah AND i was, like,
WELL i told, YOU i just wanted to kind of
write about all your charitable work and stuff like. That
and it's. Great we didn't have a great relationship after.
That it wasn't like the start of like this beautiful.
(47:04):
Friendship he went right back to ignoring me like he
did everybody. Else BUT i was a memorable moment in the. Locker,
Yeah i've THOUGHT i thought my life was going to
end that.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
Day one of my memorable and forgettable both combined Is
Bruce armstrong was the left tackle at the time the. Story,
yeah and it was after a game where the offensive
line just got worn down and they just got. Beat
SO i kind of did the math AND i figured
out how much actual time does an offensive line lineman
(47:35):
actually spend in the, game like moving like actually you,
know tangled up and, Moving and it was like fourteen
minutes or twelve minutes or something like. That SO i,
wrote you, know there's no reason for these guys to be.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
Tired you, know it was it was like they spent
Twelve they spent before. ME i would have talked to
him out of, this, right they spent twelve.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Minutes actually, engaged actually engaged with another. Player so so you,
know that, Week i'm in the locker, room and you,
KNOW i was covering the team just Like paul, would
And i'm At Bruce armstrong's locker and there's a there's
a people around. Him people were asking. QUESTIONS i wasn't
asking a, question But i'm right next To Bruce. Armstrong
(48:19):
you know he's up. Here i'm down, here and he's,
like you, know game goes on and you get. Tired
he looked at me when he said, THAT i got the.
Speaker 7 (48:30):
MESSAGE i got the.
Speaker 5 (48:31):
MESSAGE i have too many of. THOSE i won't go
too recent because some of the you know are still
on the, team but older. ONES i had some like
rocky hazing go on with the defensive back room on
my first year on the beat BECAUSE i was talking
to a player AND i was asked him about maybe
(48:53):
switching positions and if he was playing a different position in,
practice and he actually told me that he was playing
a different position in, practice AND i wrote about it
that he was playing a different, position and he got
called Into belichick's office and got reprimanded for telling me
that he was switching. Positions and for like two or three,
(49:13):
weeks like multiple people in the defensive backroom wouldn't talk
to me BECAUSE i.
Speaker 7 (49:19):
That's when it.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
Started, yeah.
Speaker 5 (49:22):
Exactly it was a rookie at the time that told
ME i was a. Rookie he was a, rookie and,
uh and so they were standing up for their rookie
and had the rookies back and. So but then eventually
it we time passed and it was. Fine but there's
a couple of, those but not not anything too, terrible
(49:42):
but now One i'll always remember as like a good learning,
moment like for me, honestly like it was like you.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
In the locker room with for The Gray rugemer story
when he used to bend, over he'd he'd be, naked
he'd bend over and, say DO i have a hole
in my?
Speaker 5 (49:56):
Ass?
Speaker 7 (49:57):
Yeah like right right right in front of?
Speaker 3 (50:00):
It, right, yeah. YEAH i haven't like a lot of
little ones like ty law was really upset with me
one day with SOMETHING i, wrote and he comes in
the locker room and, goes where's THAT mf For Paul perillo?
At AND i went and then like thirty seconds later
he's got his. Armor Ou we're laughing and joking about
WHAT i, wrote and he was, like oh, NO i get.
(50:20):
IT i get, it, BRO i get.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
IT i had to talk to Lawyer malloy For Brian
morian once because lawyer malloy was given him a hard.
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Time so lawyer used to love to Bust brian's. Chops oh,
yeah which is.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Great.
Speaker 5 (50:34):
YEP i don't have any bad stories. Yet that's. Good
it's only on season.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
Three so so when we were that's a good let's
keep that, right and we're just, shooting you, know starting
to shoot a video in the locker room for The.
Internet we had this show Called Patriot Cyber sideline AND.
Speaker 7 (50:51):
I was, actually you, know.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
SHOOTING i had a little camp quarter And i'm shooting
an interview With bledsoe in the locker. ROOM i didn't
know what was going on behind, him but the center
was butt naked the whole. Time so you get you
get the video back to the editors and they're, Like,
fred did you not see what was going? On like
what are you talking? About so he's show me the
video and There's bledsoe and THERE'S i forget who the center.
Speaker 7 (51:15):
Was, no it was the guy From. Walpole they got
in trouble with the young.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
Girl, oh, anyway he's bending over in the.
Speaker 5 (51:26):
Background you, know you gotta be careful about you were
supposed to protect.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Us, no he.
Speaker 7 (51:33):
Was he was a bad, guy all.
Speaker 5 (51:34):
Right those are good learning experiences though when you're young and, like,
yeah especially it's, hard like you when you talk and
you write for a living and you have to be
critical of them sometimes and it's. Good it's good to learn, Like,
okay there's certain things where there's lines and you gotta be.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
CAREFUL i would, say like for anyone, like think about your,
question think about your, question make it open, ended, uh
and and ask one, question you, know instead of following
up your own question with another. Question and now you're
giving the person you're interviewing and the choice of which
question they want to.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
Ask and it's not always. EASY i would just say, listen,
yeah to the. Answers AND i fall into this all the.
Time IS i have four or five questions in my
head WHEN i go up to talk to, somebody And
i'm thinking about my next, question, right And i'm not
always listening to the, answer which a could spark something
different THAT i didn't think about. Asking now you have a,
(52:30):
conversation OR b it could make Whatever i'm going to
ask it relevant because he's answering sort of both of.
Them AND i think a lot of people do not
listen to the answers to the.
Speaker 5 (52:40):
Questions that's that's the best way to do an. ALBUM
i think you go in you have to have some
questions prepared ahead of time because you have to start the.
Conversation but once it starts to, flow the best thing to,
do is What paul's, saying is to follow up on
things that they, say because then you get them, talking
and then it's a conversation and then you get the best.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Time i'm not Saying i'm good at, it but that's
WHAT i always try to.
Speaker 5 (53:01):
Do the only thing That i'll say That i'd probably
say it's like the hardest part is being a locker
room is trying to get them to do some of
the TikTok videos that we have them, do and that's not.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
EASY i give you.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
Credit so When i'm in.
Speaker 5 (53:13):
There and we're, like, hey can you do this for, Us,
like you, know you just came off of a tough,
practice but, hey let's let's talk and tell me what
your favorite food.
Speaker 3 (53:22):
Is like that part stuff because you want you might
run into someone that doesn't want to give an.
Speaker 5 (53:27):
Answer but other than, THAT i, mean usually you guys
do a good.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Job though they they're pretty, cooperative they are.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
They're very they're honestly VERY i think they really like
you guys BECAUSE i think that they allow they were
allowed to sort of show showcase some of their, personalities
AND i think it losens them up a little. Bit
for those platforms help.
Speaker 5 (53:42):
Them THEN i come in and ask the football the last.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
Thing they want to do after a practice is, that
and then he's getting bamned quick trivia mean to you,
TODAY i just didn't think we were going to go.
There you brought it up the other one that got
called to the principal's.
Speaker 7 (54:02):
Office, yeah.
Speaker 5 (54:06):
A lot of glazing of the players, too but they
don't they don't pay attention to that.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
Stuff that's. AMAZING i like that term.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Glazing it's a little.
Speaker 5 (54:19):
Clues about how great they. Played it's like you say
one bad.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
THING i actually, said it's a, BILL i, Said, bill
did you you KNOW i never realized how many TIMES
i said that you were the best coach in the
league and didn't have a problem with.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
That you, know stuff like.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
That it doesn't really.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
Matter he, Thinks, well, honestly he thought that what you
were supposed to, do as being part of the, team
you should be saying. That like, anyway named Two patriots
who retired in won A Super bowl with other.
Speaker 7 (54:47):
Teams, hint they played the same.
Speaker 3 (54:49):
Position Two patriots who retired in one a Super bowl
with other. Teams, OKAY i get. IT i don't understand the.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Question so they came out of a retirement and then
one with another. Team kowski that's one of. THEM i
don't know if he officially retired, though but, yeah.
Speaker 3 (55:07):
Retired that's.
Speaker 7 (55:08):
One twenty twenty with The bucks is one.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
Other brady did not same. Position he, retired came back, though.
Right Don hasselback did not.
Speaker 7 (55:15):
Retire, WELL i don't know if he.
Speaker 2 (55:17):
Retired obviously he, retired BUT i don't know if he
came back. Afterwards Ben, watson, well according To Sean Francis
San francisco in eighty, four he did.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
Retired he, retired came back to The. Niners according to The,
NO i remember His Super bowl with The, niners he.
Speaker 5 (55:35):
Did some broadcast spots before coming back to play football
Things francis, didn't he, thought so With fox MAYBE i don't.
Speaker 3 (55:42):
Know Russ, Francis, Yeah, FOX i Think.
Speaker 5 (55:48):
Fox i'm pretty sure he did. Broadcast he checked.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
Me they all did. Broadcasting they all hate the media
and then they can't Wait james in THE, uk we
make it look, easy he.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
Says On, MONDAY i was lucky enough to attend the
opening day Of, wimbledon which was an awesome. EXPERIENCE i
was walking around the edge of center court WHEN i
happened to spot none other Than patriots Quarterback Drake, may
with one of his. Brothers being A patriots fan over
here in THE, UK i didn't THINK i would ever
get the chance to say hello in person, again SO
i went over and opened with a rather clumsy excuse, Me,
(56:27):
mike You're Drake, may aren't. YOU i really WISH i
had more time to think about WHAT i was going to,
say which was met with a smile and, yes, sir
although he was making he, said.
Speaker 7 (56:40):
Although he was making his way up to a, seat.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
It was really. Cool he took a quick moment to
say hi, back ending with a gopats followed by a fist.
Speaker 7 (56:47):
Bump what a true.
Speaker 2 (56:48):

Speaker 5 (56:54):

WIMBLEDON i guess interesting.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Choice any sporting event outside of The United states would
probably be very high on the list that would be
up there for.
Speaker 5 (57:08):

Now all, right so mouthguard question all of These, hey,
guys love these uh love these bare bone. Shows you
tube can handle. IT i guess he means us, too,
now h here's my totally random question for you. Guys
since you guys opened the, FLOOR i always wondered about
wide receivers and cornerbacks leaving your mouth guards out and
land them flap?
Speaker 6 (01:00:36):
Around, uh flap around when running? Running running? Roots how
do they get away with?
Speaker 19 (01:00:40):
That concerns about our concussion, ISSUE i find it almost
irresponsible to let players play without it without an end
unless that's just the cool thing to do these, days
and they do an untethered guard as, Well not to
mention the annoying factor of trying to run around with
the mouth guard bouncing all. Over how can you focus
with it banging? AROUND i remember running simple laps after
press is now. Annoying it was to just have it bouncing. Around,
(01:01:02):
Uh and it broke free of having it stuck in
the face. Mask thanks Guys ray In North. Carolina there's
a lot to.
Speaker 5 (01:01:07):
Bring there's a, lot a lot of break down in that.
EMAIL i think it's a really good email.
Speaker 19 (01:01:11):
Though because a fun, Fact i'm pretty sure this is.
TRUE i don't think you're required to wear a mouth
guard in THE. Nfl, No i'm, not but you're. NOT
i don't think you are in THE.
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Nfl So i'm gonna. Answer i'm gonna answer these kind
of one by.
Speaker 6 (01:01:25):
One, yeah the former football player.
Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
Here so with the mouth.
Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
GUARD i think for dbs it allows them to communicate
a little bit better when it's out. RIGHT i think
so with the patch, right, yeah SO i think dba's
helps them. Communicate wide RECEIVERS i think they might just.
SUPERSTY i can't confirm.
Speaker 19 (01:01:43):
Because now you see kids doing the double, guard, right
which is. Crazy who is it on the on the?
Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
Lions where's the mouth guard? In and then he has
one on the top.
Speaker 6 (01:01:51):
Of the head yep as, Well Brusse wilson puts one
in his helmet.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Too yeah, yeah, SO i, MEAN i don't. Know but
outside of, THAT i think wide receiver.
Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
SUPERSTYLE i think the sprint comment is hilarious because back
in the good old days WHEN i was running sprints
and puffing and, puffing you, KNOW i heard that mouthguard
banging my face mask all the. Time but some of
these dudes.
Speaker 6 (01:02:12):
Get lit, up LIKE i, like it's supposed to stop concussions.
Speaker 5 (01:02:16):
And, maybe yeah a little, bit LIKE i, KNOW i
care about my.
Speaker 19 (01:02:20):
Team you have, them not the grills and too, though
so LIKE i don't, KNOW i. LISTEN i think it's
kind of, crazy like why do they need it in?
BASKETBALL nba is? Required it's interesting it's not LIKE, nfl
like you see players all the, time LIKE i, Mean
Russell wilson all the time has the.
Speaker 5 (01:02:34):
MOUTH i THINK i knew that THE nba was.
Speaker 6 (01:02:36):
REQUIRED i think it used to. Be this is a
potential true.
Speaker 19 (01:02:40):
Fact but look at out Like Christian, Barmore Milt wins
when they're like, screaming.
Speaker 6 (01:02:44):
Flexing after it. Hit there's no mouth.
Speaker 19 (01:02:45):
Guard yeah they, don't they, know Justin jefferson when he's
got the iced out.
Speaker 6 (01:02:49):
Teeth SO i don't, know but THIS i don't mess.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Anything it's it's about swagger a little, bit a little
it's about.
Speaker 19 (01:02:54):
Swagger, yeah, yeah all, right so you you wear a
mouth guard though if you're, PLAYING i Think i'm like three.
Speaker 6 (01:03:00):
Mouthguards spent too much money on the teeth over?
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
There all?
Speaker 6 (01:03:03):
Right why Is drake treated?
Speaker 19 (01:03:06):
Differently Good afternoon nine eight point five hosts recently Said
drake needs someone A qb to push. Him Does Caleb
williams need someone to push? Him Does jay And daniels
need someone to push? Him last, year on The patriots pregame,
show a host Said drake had to earn it STARTING qb,
opportunity but Did caleb Or jayden have to earn. It
why Is drake treated so different Here floyd And Redford.
MICHIGAN i think there was there's a.
Speaker 5 (01:03:28):
Lot, now, YEAH i think there were circumstances WHERE i,
mean he wouldn't have had to have earned it if
they just wanted them from the get. GO i think
because they had that bridge quarterback mindset With. JACOBY i
think that was like that earn it.
Speaker 6 (01:03:41):
Which also has worked twice in the history of the.
Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
League most AND i.
Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
Also think that guys Like caleb like they're catching shade
because they're in their developmental rookie.
Speaker 19 (01:03:53):
Year well it's tough, though because jayde and dancers went
to The JeOS was. Filthy but so here's a question
if the line was better to think that the line
was not, good so why are you gonna get this?
Speaker 5 (01:04:02):
KID i think that that is a big part of.
It and also when your line is, good it helps
a lot things.
Speaker 19 (01:04:07):
Developed SO i, think, LISTEN i find it kind of
similar like Mac jones had to earn. Him he was
just the Old bill, way like we Have Cam newton
here Still Camp, Newton, like, yeah the arm was a little,
cooked but like if, Anything Cam newton at this point
was better Than jacoby last. Year, YEAH i think like
there was no rush, there but LIKE nac took it
over and earned. It SO i don't, know maybe it's
just mental games by The.
Speaker 5 (01:04:28):
YEAH i also just think they're like you, SAID i
think Protecting drake was a really good point by, you
AND i, THINK i, mean now it is his team
AND i don't think he's gonna be traded any differently
compared to.
Speaker 6 (01:04:38):
THESE i guess another difference Is Jacoby.
Speaker 19 (01:04:41):
Brissette he's been around the league for a while and
like he's shown some spurts throughout his, career but like
The bears had, nobody well, no they had Justin, fields
so that's but he wasn't on the team when he got.
There caleb was hands down the best quarterback there and
same with same With Jane. Daniels drake, was you, know
still seeing to be viewed as a developmental. Prospect so
(01:05:02):
maybe there's that. Too, Yeah But CHRIS i, SAID i
was saving the best for, last so right for this.
One madden twenty six pre. GAME i really like The
madenson videos last season they have before the. Games this,
year can we have Just evan And mike Play madden
twenty six? Instead evan Playing pats defense And bike Playing pat's.
Offense they have to use coach. Mode it would be
way WHERE i tame that. Year, Wow, Rude Matthew. Berizeuda you,
(01:05:24):
know we could Get duce And evan on the shows
LIKE i.
Speaker 5 (01:05:28):
Love The maddenson, videos like a little little.
Speaker 19 (01:05:31):
Taste we're talking to a hashtag finalist time by the, Way, yeah,
yeah shout out to the shout out to the.
Speaker 6 (01:05:36):
Boys no, listen we're bringing it.
Speaker 8 (01:05:39):
Back.
Speaker 5 (01:05:40):
Yeah we would also love to have some sort of
situation to get those guys. Involved AND i THINK i
think Having evan on defense And duce on offense would
be funny because usually they're talking Off evan's usually talking,
offense usually talking, Defense so that just makes it even
funnier if it's just flip, flopped you know WHAT i. Mean,
SO i mean, sure If evan And deuce want to
(01:06:00):
take up our offer and hop on with, us they.
Speaker 6 (01:06:03):
Enjoy now we'll get Some we'll get some guests this.
Speaker 19 (01:06:05):
YEAR i, like how about you AND i play each
other and Then evan's calling the plays just hands.
Speaker 5 (01:06:10):
Me that would be that would be like that, Change
BUT i, mean you'd be.
Speaker 19 (01:06:16):

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):

Speaker 5 (01:06:54):

long because that's not.

Say oh, Wait i'm.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
Sorry what one of The gap girls? Become what If

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):

just started talking with a whole different like syntax and
the best team we faced all.
Speaker 20 (01:07:15):
YEAR i just spent the season On nantucket AND i
was preparing for the.
Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Draft or he just like wolfed into like, lack just
big lax guy.
Speaker 2 (01:07:25):

Speaker 1 (01:07:29):

Speaker 17 (01:07:31):

different accent for a different day of the, week because
he has all these different you, know Regular bill On,
monday you get Lax borough On, wednesday you Get Valley
girl On.
Speaker 20 (01:07:41):
Friday and people are so intimidated by him that no
one would question. It they would all just be, like,
oh what.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
Happening, bill just wondering why are you talking like a
valley girl right?
Speaker 7 (01:07:50):
Now it would be.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
Celebrated oh and then everybody would start taking he, adapts
how he.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):

christian From. La we do not dislike you because we
don't believe you're a long time or True patriots.
Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
Fan, frankly we don't care how long you've been a.
Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
Fan we can't stand you because you're, snobbish, conceited almost bragging.
Demeanor there's a level of smug about you that most fine,
repulsive always boasting with your nose in the. Ear you're
like that person who has one has to one up,
Everyone so people try to avoid conversation with you in.
Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
PUBLIC i can go, on BUT i leave it at
no one. Cares bro ask your questions and move.
Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Along, Okay last.
Speaker 7 (01:09:11):
Thing forduc And paul hate for first, Comments last.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Thing for Ducing.
Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
Paul, guys if you Watch jaws, backwards it's actually a
heartwarming story about a shark that gives arms and legs
back to people who need. Them, thanks, guys had a great.
Speaker 3 (01:09:25):
Day maybe it's better backwards.
Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Than were you still on The jaws terrible?
Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
Movie?
Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
Yeah is that? Possible the Wall Leak drive in is
playing having a Big jaws.
Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Night it's just gonna be.
Speaker 5 (01:09:41):
On the vineyard in a couple of, weeks and there's
all sorts of fifty year. Anniversary jaws stuff all around
the island, apparently so.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
That great story she got eaten by a, shark.
Speaker 5 (01:09:51):
TREMENDOUS i don't goous. Story the movie came out twenty
six years BEFORE i.
Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
Was we obviously didn't See Shark. Nato he thinks you
have to be in the. Ocean they get eaten by.
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
Shark SO i find that no surprise that you don't
go in the.
Speaker 5 (01:10:03):
Ocean, no especially not up. Here so you don't like
the ocean at. ALL i don't like it too. Cold
i'm not gonna eaten by. Anything, sharks, no. Nothing there's
way too many shark. Sightings they're not.
Speaker 3 (01:10:17):
Going to hurt, you, though where there was like three last. Week,
people there's more fatalities from coconuts falling off people's heads and.
Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
SHARKS i don't want to get hit by a coconut.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
Either, well then the coconuts isn't going to hurt.
Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
You it is, crazy but it's. Not it's just like
you're tractually obligated to say when you report the shark
attack on the, news and we should and we should
reiterate that these these attacks are very. Rare, like, no
they're not they're not all that every.
Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
Summer the sad thing is they're less rare than they
used to. Be there's any warmer and the seals are.
Here it's.
Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
Sure gloucester last. Week like that's not like a.
Speaker 5 (01:11:02):
Joke i'm not saying THAT i won't like Like i'll
go in and put my feet in and like kind
of like dabble in the, ocean but like to actually
go and sit in the ocean for like an extended
period of. Time there's no BAD i value my life
more than.
Speaker 3 (01:11:15):
That i'm saying that they go like they're in their
area being, predators, Right so To evan's, point stay out
of the, area stay out of their, habitat and you
won't get bitten by.
Speaker 5 (01:11:27):
You especially like right off the coast of The vineyard like,
this there's literally a famous movie about. It like it
is not a coincidence like.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
This, well.
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
The ocean, APPARENTLY i still go.
Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
In, YEAH i looked at.
Speaker 11 (01:11:43):
YOU i go in the.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Ocean but it is absolutely on my mind all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
That anything you're thinking about IF i see a, Seal
i'm out being.
Speaker 5 (01:11:52):
Attacked, Yeah i've had a seal brush upon my leg.
Before seals isn't the problem.
Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
It, WAS i WOULDN'T i could not get out fast
enough IF i was IF i got brushed by. BRUSHED
i went on that the, seal, like that's what that's
what you go to.
Speaker 5 (01:12:11):
Nausuit that's gonna happen probably nine times out of ten
year in the you, know that's.
Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
Where the Great whites come, from, right because they're feeding
off of the, seals, Correct and then they're feeding off
of you. Men you the next best. THING i, MEAN
i probably provide a lot of.
Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
Problem they mistake you For paul in the. Past would
happened a lot, lately not as much, anymore you, know it's.
Speaker 3 (01:12:32):
Not as Much, paul, Right, yeah that was.
Speaker 5 (01:12:36):
Active. Anymore BUT i, Mean i'll, like LIKE i, said
i will dabble in the. Ocean But i'm not like
some of these people when we go to the, beach
like you see, them they're like all the way out
and they're like basking in the water and like they're in.
THERE i think there's other things you're worried about, though
being that far, Out Like i'd be more concerned about
the current pulling me or something like. That that, too
(01:12:58):
yeah you should, be BUT I i'd be more thinking
about that than the shark coming and attacking. Me, YEAH
i mean that's a very very valid concern as. Well
But i'm less concerned about that Because i'm confident in
my swimming. Abilities i'm not confident in my abilities to
fight a shark like. That that is a lose lose.
Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
Proposition BUT i can swim out of the. Current that's.
Speaker 5 (01:13:17):
Fine just don't. Swim you gotta swim in a.
Speaker 3 (01:13:19):
Diagonal, okay attack, exactly very, bold very.
Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
BOLD i.
Speaker 5 (01:13:26):
CAN i can.
Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Swim the ocean is a. Lot the beach in, general
it's a.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
Lot it's a.
Speaker 3 (01:13:32):
Lot, Yeah i'm not saying it's not, fun but it
becomes a.
Speaker 5 (01:13:36):
Day just give, me give me you go to the,
beach it becomes a.
Speaker 3 (01:13:39):
Day just give me a. POOL i can sit out
in the. SUN i have the same sun with a
pool AS i do on the. BEACH i don't have
all the. Sand you can't put your toes in the. Sand,
YEAH i. Know so Now i'm clean a.
Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
Lot when you're like when you go to on like a,
beach and like you're you're on the beach like multiple
days in a, row us feel like you just have
sand on you, Forever like there's a, shower it doesn't.
Speaker 3 (01:14:05):
Matter it does.
Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
Under the sun.
Speaker 3 (01:14:09):
Thing you feel that, way even when.
Speaker 5 (01:14:12):
You take a shower, afterwards you still kind of feel
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
Still, YEAH i love the beach AND i LOVE i
love it looking out on the ocean and just the.
Sounds it's just.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
The aesthetics of. It, YEAH i love the beach. Too
i'm just saying there are, drawbacks that's. ALL i would
love to live on the. Ocean IF i HAD i
Had Fred, KIRSCH i love my.
Speaker 7 (01:14:33):
Dream would every night to go to bed listening to the.
Ocean that WOULD i could do? That that would be absolutely.
Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
Fair jess is In, brooklyn glad to Have fred. Back
BUT i thought everyone stepped up and did a great
job last. Week that's back in the day when it
would be like just a.
Speaker 3 (01:14:52):
Disaster, well the only time WAS i think it's it
was that show THAT i had to do by. Myself
that's the only time it was ever. DISASTER i don't,
know two hours by. Myself that was a long. Day shout, Out.
Speaker 8 (01:15:04):
Matt.
Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Yeah please rank the following four elements in terms of
their importance.
Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
For The patriots' success both this season and going. Forward
Drake may.
Speaker 2 (01:15:15):
Won rabel coaching, staff the veteran players other Than drake
and this year's. Rookies assume the element you choose to
be number one will be, elite number, two, good number, three,
average number four. Subpar, well we all Think.
Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
Drake, yeah so we had to rank those four. THINGS
i THINK i would rank him the way he wrote.
Speaker 7 (01:15:34):
Them, yeah, yeah in order of. Importance yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:15:38):
YEAH i think coach is a little bit closer To
drake THOUGH i think you could, no but BUT i
think you can flip them in a. WAY i THINK
i think a lot Of patriots fans want what.
Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
Would you rather have a great quarterback or a great.
Speaker 5 (01:15:50):
Coach i'd rather have a great, Quarterback BUT i think
the coach kind of helps add to. That AND i,
think of course absolutely in a, Way drake can be
good in his ranking. SCALE i think good IS i,
mean he's an average. COACH i think he's not the.
Speaker 3 (01:16:08):
Greatest take the. Coach i'll take the.
Speaker 5 (01:16:09):
Quarterback but like for the twenty twenty five, season it
might be coaching over. Cornerback, yeah Because Drake may is
only in the second, Season like he's, not you, know
we're not at Peak Drake, may right for the longevity
you would Want drake may to be better than the
coaching of, course but for next, Year like what's gonna
get them the most wins in twenty twenty? Five like
(01:16:31):
having the coaching advantage every single week might might be more.
Speaker 7 (01:16:34):
Having a sound football.
Speaker 2 (01:16:36):
Team. Yeah, also WHILE i appreciate the excitement people feel
About forge And, FOXBOROUGH i can't be the only one
asking what exactly has been forged so far in that
it will look pretty silly in hindsight if they have
another rough. Season well, yeah but just that's what the
off season's, for, hope you, know building.
Speaker 5 (01:16:54):
Hope it's also just a which just, Documentary like we're
not trying to tell you that they're gonna be good or.
Bad it's just for just telling the story of the.
Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
Team, yeah let's go to the hot. Line we'll start
With garrett And. Oregon what's, Up? Garrett garrett? There, okay
turn off your.
Speaker 21 (01:17:16):
Internet, okay, hey, sorry, guys like the roster prediction conversations last,
week want to add one thing to two players that
you guys thought were making the cuts that are on
the bubble. Now the first one Is Kashawn. Boutef one
THING i think that didn't get mentioned is his run blocking.
Ability last. Year there are plenty of big Plays romande
(01:17:40):
Or Antonio gibson brick and run off and nine is
picking up a big. BLOCK i Think rabel and this,
offense the staff.
Speaker 15 (01:17:47):
Is gonna like.
Speaker 5 (01:17:47):
THAT i didn't big.
Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
PLACE i, know, YEAH i don't care About booty. BLOCKING
i Want booty to be a wide receiver. First if
you can, block that's an icing.
Speaker 5 (01:17:57):
Rake, NOW i will say that he he got on
the field more last year at first because he was
his effort and his blocking was really. Good you know.
THAT i don't think that That's i'm with you guys
in terms of like that's not why he's, here but
like that was the first thing that sort of started
to popt at the beginning of last, year was was
him blocking and him showing effort and and all those
(01:18:20):
types of details and little. Things but, ultimately he's got
to catch. FOOTBALL i, mean that's that's the most important.
Speaker 8 (01:18:26):
THING i agree with.
Speaker 21 (01:18:28):
That but if he's going to end up being the
seconder third act that doesn't get the ball a, lot
blocking might see what gets him on the roster and
then ANOTHER uh. Receiver i'd like that to HIS Mac.
Collen just with the great last, year he's going to
be a youthful.
Speaker 3 (01:18:45):
Doncker hev you fear would be coming. True Thanks garrett
winning game seventeen to. Thirteen we're gonna get a wide
receive a core full of great physical. Blockers SO i
don't Think Kashawn. Booty we don't Want Justin, jefferson give
Me Kaishawn booties.
Speaker 5 (01:18:58):
BLOCKING i don't think Kha boody's a great. BLOCKER i
think he showed good effort yea in the.
Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
Run and just so you, know Like i'm Teasing garrett
BECAUSE i know he's not saying That.
Speaker 5 (01:19:08):
Matt collins is a great blocker Like Matt collins is, legitimately.
Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
And that's, like, listen this is. This it's a physical.
Game so you need to have your receivers to be
part of the running. Game, absolutely that's that's, important AND
i think it's important For josh McDaniels in, particular but,
ultimately these guys are going to make the team if
they can contribute as pass. Receivers they're wide receivers and
they need they're gonna need to make plays in the passing.
Game and the one thing THAT i would say about
(01:19:33):
last year is, like you, know there's more than a
few of these big. Plays they didn't have any big
plays on offense last, year so there weren't that many
plays that were sprung By Kayshawn booties. Blocking, yes he's
a physical.
Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
Guy there was one or two that stood out that
he's talking about towards the beginning of last year THAT i,
know you know the place he's talking. About but it
does help in terms of having receivers that can block
because then they don't have to necessarily come off the,
field whereas when you have specialists or like it's a
l to the, defense like we're kind of in our
base run package here because this receivers on the field
(01:20:05):
versus when we put these guys on the. Field but
at the end of the, day it's CAN i just
say about But booty in, particular you, know if we're
going to talk about. HIM i like what he's doing
as a. Receiver, YEAH i think he is getting better
every time we get a chance to watch. THEM i
think he progressed last year and had a sort of
(01:20:25):
a representative second year and a miserable offense, admittedly AND
i think he looks like he's.
Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
Built Off that's why it looks good in the.
Speaker 7 (01:20:32):
Spring that's Why i'm hopeful for. HIM i don't care
about his.
Speaker 5 (01:20:35):
BLOCK i Think DRAKE i was gonna, SAY i Think
drake's connection with. HIM i think that helped a lot.
TOO i think some sort Of.
Speaker 2 (01:20:42):
Steve wrights in he, says what a lucky. Gal Jesses
evan is quite a. Man you go in, First, Honey i'm.
Speaker 5 (01:20:48):
Afraid, wow who said a center in?
Speaker 7 (01:20:52):
FIRST i.
Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
Don't it's the, OPPOSITE i, Say, beth don't go in. There,
YEAH i can't have my kids. Orphans what are we?
Speaker 17 (01:20:57):
Doing?
Speaker 5 (01:20:58):
YEAH i definitely didn't say.
Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
That all, right can't leave them with just.
Speaker 3 (01:21:02):
Me that would be like wolpening. Them, uh let's go
to good like mouse Going sean And.
Speaker 5 (01:21:09):
Vancouver Hey, Sean Happy Canada, Day. Sean, yeah Happy.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
Canada, oh thank, You, Blayne, Canada Blaine.
Speaker 12 (01:21:15):
Canada, well on that, Note Happy Canada day To todd as,
well and hand my condolences for your. Father that that
is STUFF i.
Speaker 8 (01:21:25):
Know i've been.
Speaker 12 (01:21:26):
There heye To, SEAN i love your enthusiasm and your.
Optimism you know your argument makes sense with the improvements
that they've, made or what seems like improvements.
Speaker 9 (01:21:37):
They made in the.
Speaker 12 (01:21:37):
OFFICE i JUST i WISH i shared it. Completely i'm
just not there. YET i have to see.
Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
It Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:21:43):
Ay last week there.
Speaker 12 (01:21:44):
Was some discussion amongst the on air talents out there
first or early game in person. EXPERIENCES i was, wondering, Now,
fred what do you think about fans doing the same
and share and they're in game.
Speaker 7 (01:22:01):
EXPERIENCE i think it would get.
Speaker 2 (01:22:03):
Boring kick, then, YEAH i mean you, ASKED i, answered you, know,
YEAH i mean at the end of the, day it's
like these are personal experiences unless they involved like something,
wild like you, know there was this brawl and Like
paul you, know getting it fights.
Speaker 14 (01:22:22):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
One.
Speaker 3 (01:22:24):
Time, yeah but it was it Was it was. Epic,
yeah it Was Fox.
Speaker 7 (01:22:28):
Sports if it hadn't been.
Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
For your, brother you'd he's still wailing on the, guy, Right,
oh that was. Different this is why Different, okay this.
Speaker 5 (01:22:36):
Is why we couldn't Have monday night football for like thirty,
years is because.
Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
That's not that's not. True that's literally why that's not.
True you're too. Rowdy that guy fell on my brother
AND i at THE Afc championship game in ninety six
and we got a few shots in before we picked
them back. Up so you you punched a drunk guy multiple.
Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
Times paul was run.
Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
To so it was a, fare but he fell on.
You he wasn't trying to fight you. Too, no, no,
no who? Won that was poblic that's. Assault after The
Super bowl in ninety, six there was there was an
incident that my brother prevented me from with those nice
(01:23:21):
people From. Wisconsin they were really, nice.
Speaker 1 (01:23:26):
Grabbed me by the.
Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Becker it was good, times good.
Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
Times John luke From tennessee originally From Rhode island says
there was a rule change that you guys missed to
talk about that The Denver broncos owner brought up in an.
Interview that, is teams can now wear alternate slash throwback
helmets with their current uniform. Set what helmet and uniform?
Combo would you like to see white helmet with the.
Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
White and silver away unis or white with blue jersey
pants and white socks other?
Speaker 22 (01:23:56):
Ideas, so so teams now wear throwback, Helmet, yeah so
then we can wear the pat patriot with the current
set of jersey.
Speaker 5 (01:24:08):
Pants BUT i actually don't think. IT i think it
would look. BAD i don't THINK i don't think it
looks good with our current color scheme and. EVERYTHING i
don't think it would throw colors and the current color.
Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
Schemes what if you went with the what if you
went with the blue, jersey white pants and a white
helmet with the current?
Speaker 7 (01:24:25):
Logo love? It love?
Speaker 5 (01:24:27):
It BUT i think you need to have the current
logo and then have it all the colors have to,
match right that that BUT i love that concept if
we did it. Right, yeah, OKAY i think that's ACTUALLY
i would like to see them go in that. Direction.
Honestly the blue with gray pants and the white HELMET
i think would be.
Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
Fresh who's got the best baseball? Uniform other The yankee
pin STRIPES i think is the. Best but other than,
THAT i like The.
Speaker 5 (01:24:54):
GIANTS i think The giants a really good. UNIFORM i
like the orange and the Black.
Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
Irons.
Speaker 5 (01:25:00):
Uniforms The city's, got the blues are, good The cardinals
with the oh the big bat with The, Cardinals Red
Sox city connect of, course which one the green, one
the green?
Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
One the yellow?
Speaker 5 (01:25:13):
Ones? Oh is that?
Speaker 2 (01:25:15):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:25:15):
Yeah you don't like the yellow?
Speaker 5 (01:25:17):
Ones?
Speaker 10 (01:25:18):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:25:20):
Great, meaning LIKE i, GET i gets there's a ton
of meeting behind, it but IT'S i watched the games
and the way they gush about that new green uniform
ANNOUNCE i love.
Speaker 8 (01:25:28):
IT i love.
Speaker 3 (01:25:29):
It watch, tonight why seventy?
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
Four that's, right seventy Five tonight they're going to do
a whole broadcast where everything is like back in the.
Seventies they're even going to make the look of the
you know the video really look.
Speaker 3 (01:25:43):
YEH i didn't know they were doing, That that's WHAT i.
HEARD i just want to see that. LOST i just
want to see the. Uniforms. YEAH i don't care about
the world, seriously like they did this against The, giants
like either last year or two years. Ago they were the.
DEAL i like the seventies. UNIFORMS i don't care about the.
Playing theis.
Speaker 2 (01:26:03):
Wasn't on that.
Speaker 5 (01:26:04):
Team, yes It's Freddy, Lynn Jimmy rice pretty.
Speaker 3 (01:26:06):
GOOD i Think fisk is going to be there.
Speaker 5 (01:26:09):
Tonight if Jim rice was not hurt in The World,
series The Red sox would have. WON i don't know
if you've heard, That, chris they probably will, well although
they almost won in eighty, six, right but Then Bill
buckner missed THE.
Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
I mean they're springing up all the.
Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Time elena From, Cologne germany rights In, first thank for
you for all bringing a spirit Of New england into
our home here In. Cologne sometimes it can be difficult
being away from, home but you all bring me, joy
even When i'm screaming back.
Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
At you during your stupid, arguments in a way that
is Purely. Massachusetts, secondly looking for advice From Evan. Oh
The kendrick and Siss a concert is.
Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
Tomorrow i'm a massive, fan But i'm taking my Husband,
matt who was absolutely zero. Exposure how DO i prep
him for tomorrow so that he can best enjoy?
Speaker 7 (01:26:55):
It bring air?
Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
Plugs?
Speaker 5 (01:26:57):
Wow how he can best enjoy? IT i, MEAN i
would listen To kendrick's new album like. That that's obviously
a lot of what they played was the new. Stuff
he played a lot of, everything but the new album
was obviously the driving force of. It i'd say they
probably do, that just just run through the new.
Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
One BUT I.
Speaker 5 (01:27:20):
I really LIKE Dj mustard set at the beginning you
DID i?
Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
Did that was.
Speaker 5 (01:27:25):
GOOD i was, like MAYBE i was surprised as how
MUCH i enjoyed. THAT i really did not have much
interest in it to begin, with BUT i was glad
we were we were here for THAT i feel like
the thing With Mustard set having A dj open a.
CONCERT i feel like it's tough because you can hear the.
Music you don't really need to wash it and be THE,
dj you, know so that forces people to like want
(01:27:46):
to walk around and, like, yeah but it was. Good
it was. Good LIKE i feel like it was a
good warm. Up you didn't have to like be glued
to the. Stage but, YEAH i would definitely listen to
his new. ALBUM i listened to the songs that he
has was because they do play all of.
Speaker 3 (01:28:01):
Those that's WHAT I.
Speaker 2 (01:28:04):
Rebecca From, norfolk right SIM i don't know if That's,
Norfolk virginia Or, norfolk mass but, anyway she's From. Norfolk
i've listened for the last few. YEARS i usually listen
to the, podcast But i'm on maternity leave AND i
can listen. LIVE i have a one month old, daughter
and at her appointment, YESTERDAY i found out she's in
the ninety six percentile for. Height i'm hoping to harness
(01:28:25):
this into an excellent volleyball. Player. Nice my question is how, much,
say do your parents actually have in kids' interests in.
ACTIVITIES i really hope to watch sports like volleyball and,
basketball and maybe she'll watch The patriots with me or
go to a Few friars basketball. Game, well she must
be from. Here my fear Is i'm going to have
to go to ballet recitals and my daughter will start
(01:28:49):
a makeup YouTube page or something THAT i can't at
all relate. To so she's wondering how these Like, paul
how much influence did you have on your boys and
what they?
Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
DID i, mean let my kids do what they. WANTED
i MEAN i certainly introduced them the sports at an early,
age but not at the expense of you, know other things, ballet,
well maybe not, ballet but like the. Theater, yeah you,
Know i've talked about this on the air a. Lot
we've gone to a lot Of broadway shows and. Stuff,
really so if they wanted to get involved in the
(01:29:20):
arts or, whatever it's not LIKE i wouldn't look at
it like, that, like oh my my fear is having
to go to ballet. Recitals if your daughter wanted to
be in, ballet that's that's fun, Too, Okay, yeah like
you just you, know you ford to figure out what
they like to. Do but at one, month little you,
know you're pushing it a little.
Speaker 7 (01:29:39):
Bit there, No but you, Know, REBECCA i don't know
what your is.
Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
Ticking but if the, parent if the parent has played, sports,
yeah you, KNOW i think that's you, know because you'll be, like,
hey you want to go throw the ball, around you
want to go spike the volleyball or?
Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
Whatever you, know do you introduced some of these. THINGS
i think that doing it with the child. Helps But
i'll give you at an early, age both of my
kids really like to, fish AND tj in, particular loves.
It i've never really fished in my. LIFE i THINK
i went one time in my whole. Life so that's
just something that they decided to do on their.
Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
Own, well at some, point a, friend let's go fishing
and introduce them to.
Speaker 3 (01:30:20):
It don't you think they walked down the street to the,
pond to.
Speaker 7 (01:30:23):
The pond with their.
Speaker 5 (01:30:24):
Friends, no just the two with just the two of
them with they're friends with each.
Speaker 2 (01:30:28):
Other, yeah that's.
Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
NICE i mean that was really.
Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Nice, right, People let me tell you about my.
Speaker 5 (01:30:33):
BED i don't, KNOW i don't know how to answer
that question BECAUSE i don't have, kids but like my
father was a giant influence in me watching, sports Especially boston.
Sports but it wasn't LIKE i wasn't a very good athlete,
either but he wasn't. Either like it wasn't LIKE i
got into playing sports because my dad was like a
d one athlete and he was showing me how to
do everything like. Me BUT i definitely am made that my.
(01:30:58):
Fandom my first sports is one.
Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
HUNDRED i remember WHEN i was a, kid my, Said dad,
said we're going on a. Trip you didn't tell me.
Where we got in the, car drove all My. Coopers,
no we went To, washington D. C i can see
you doing the same thing and you end up At
New jersey AT nfl films with your.
Speaker 5 (01:31:13):
Kids, okay, YEAH i can see.
Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
That.
Speaker 5 (01:31:15):
YEAH i mean my dad AND i did a lot
of that kind of stuff BECAUSE i was obviously super
interested in all of. It so, yeah we've been to
Many halls Of, fame different, stadiums you road, games things like.
That SO i no doubt that that was a big.
Influence BUT i don't, KNOW i think that happened. Organically
LIKE i, think IF, i To paul's, point IF i
was like INTO i don't, know drumming was LIKE.
Speaker 2 (01:31:39):
I remember growing up and you walk outside and kids
were playing and they're playing, sports and so you played.
SPORTS i don't know if that, happens like you have
to like now you have to like steer your kid
to something and schedule them to do.
Speaker 3 (01:31:53):
Things it's not very.
Speaker 5 (01:31:55):
EASY i would definitely SAY i. WAS i feel LIKE
i was part of that one of the final generations
of kind of going out and like doing stuff and
just wanting to go outside and play growing. Up AND
i think my parents and my brother for that, matter
who was three years older than, they kind of had
a big influence in me getting involved in sports and
uh just the passion for. Things and at one POINT
i was playing like four sports and they're, like all, Right,
(01:32:16):
chris you're gonna have to.
Speaker 3 (01:32:17):
Like figure it.
Speaker 5 (01:32:18):
Out like you're a football, player so like get that
out of the. Way they're, like you're gonna play, baseball
you play, basketball what are you gonna? Do and, uh
it JUST i feel like a lot of things just
kind of, happened and it happens for a. Reason BUT
i think parents do have a big role in pointing
their kids in a certain. Direction but Like paul, SAID
i think there's a lot of things that.
Speaker 2 (01:32:37):
HAPPEN i think, Peers, yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:32:39):
Piers, yeah we.
Speaker 5 (01:32:41):
Would we would play in the cul De sac all the.
Time homer And derby's street, hockey like, everything, frisbee you name,
It like we were always in the.
Speaker 3 (01:32:49):
Cultures point, THOUGH i don't think that happens.
Speaker 5 (01:32:51):
Anymore, no that's a big conversation in THE nba right
now because of all The achilles, tears street hockey.
Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
And the cult de.
Speaker 5 (01:32:57):
Sect, well just people talking about specialized in a sport
and like now a lot of these kids in their
teenage years are not only playing year, round but they're
also their training as specialized to the sport that they're
playing and not.
Speaker 3 (01:33:09):
Necessarily developing other, Muscles.
Speaker 5 (01:33:11):
Like, yeah you, know is there any correlation between the
uptick and achilles tears and injuries like that in THE
Nba and the fact that you, know guy Like Jason
tatum has been basketball specific trading since he was like
fourteen years old and that's all he's been.
Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
Doing you, Know Tyre's. Halliburn there's no way to prevent, It,
fred BECAUSE i played all, sports that's.
Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
Right and you still kill the.
Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
Achilles when did you bowt your?
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
Achilles it had nothing to do with being seriously out of,
shape but that's, fine.
Speaker 3 (01:33:40):
It's not anymore as far as you, know not.
Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
Anymore Sam wrights in Longtime patriots, fan new, LISTENER i
saw this morning that The Cleveland browns have decided to
build a. Dome this really struck a nerve Because i'm
a football purist and feel that football should be played.
Outdoors it seems that virtually every new is a. Dome
with the exception Of, Buffalo washington And tennessee they're also building,
(01:34:05):
domes and the weather there is mild.
Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
At building a new.
Speaker 5 (01:34:09):
Stadium oh, yeah, YEAH.
Speaker 2 (01:34:10):
I didn't know if it was a. Dome is it a?
Speaker 3 (01:34:12):
DOME i know he thought it. Was he said it
was going to be opening to be open, too, Right,
YES i think they're going to have a. Similarity but,
no he has he has said with the exception Of.
Speaker 7 (01:34:21):
Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (01:34:22):
Period then he Says washington And tennessee are also building. Domes,
OH i don't know if that's.
Speaker 5 (01:34:27):
True To arizona with the tractable, ROOF i think that's
oh is that?
Speaker 3 (01:34:33):
Right, Okay, well, yeah it doesn't really Bother the whole
indoor outdoor thing doesn't bug. Me, well it really bothers.
Speaker 2 (01:34:38):
People i'm just afraid That we're going to lose the
great weather element of the, game and it will end
up virtually all dome stadiums in the next twenty. Years
imagine a world no, snowball Ice, bowl Fog. Bowl we'd
be losing so many ICONIC nfl film. SHOTS i recently
got My patriots season tickets last, year And i've been
attending cold weather games SINCE i was. Little it's part
of the experience to deal with as a true football.
(01:35:00):
Fan love the. Show by the, way See i'm. BETTER
i think the.
Speaker 5 (01:35:05):
Sloppy snow game that has no merit on the game.
WHATSOEVER i THINK i. Have i'm an outdoor guy.
Speaker 2 (01:35:09):
As but think about it as a person, watching LIKE
i don't know nothing better than being outside at a
beautiful day watching. Sports but if it's like ten, degrees
that's a miserable.
Speaker 5 (01:35:24):
EXPERIENCE I i look at it obviously from the football
element of, it of watching a quality product on the,
field AND i think the conditions in the, weather, LIKE
i get that it's an obstacle and you can come
at it at that, angle BUT i would much rather
come like watch a dome game Where i'm watching on
an equal playing. Field, basically you know these two teams
go toe to. TOE i just feel like there's ways
(01:35:46):
to combat it, though like everyone's lives growing, up you're
so used to just Playing it doesn't matter what weather you're.
Speaker 3 (01:35:51):
Playing you just want to play.
Speaker 5 (01:35:53):
Football so, yeah at least from my, perspective AND i
feel like with, that like there's just ways to combat
the these sort of weather situations and it might not be,
pretty but there's still coaching styles.
Speaker 1 (01:36:06):
The master of.
Speaker 3 (01:36:07):
It i'm well With. EVAN i don't want. THAT i
don't want the game to be decided by the team
that handled the conditions the, better you, know, best like that.
Day But i'm also not a huge fan of just
like the homogenized indoor. Stuff So i'm kind of like
You freddie in the. Middle, yeah like if it's really
bad and you, know it's, like do you guys remember
(01:36:29):
the probably, don't but the Car wash? Game The Eagles
rams playoff game this this past, year was it the
was it THE Nfc? Championship no division? Division that game
was largely decided because the weather really really got bad
in the middle of the fourth quarter when The rams
were going down to tie the game and, win and
(01:36:50):
all of a, sudden the snow caused a couple of,
turnovers like, directly LIKE i don't like. THAT i don't
like when it directly impacts the game like. That to,
me the iconic moment for Me patriots history Is Adam
Van terry hitting a field goal to beat The rams
in The Super bowl, indoors not what happened two weeks
three weeks earlier in The they don't think that was.
Iconic of course it was, Iconic but to, me the
(01:37:12):
moment Was Tom brady putting his hands on the you,
know in the, dome LIKE i can't believe we just
won the. Sea it doesn't take it away from me
because that game was. Indoors evidently the purist said there's
something they're missing, Something but you.
Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
Would have missed that the greatest kick IN nfl, history
according TO Nfl.
Speaker 3 (01:37:29):
Films so what so what two of the greatest cakes
and win the game thirty four to. Seven if if
it wasn't for the.
Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
Snow it was a moment that was created by the.
Speaker 5 (01:37:41):
ELEMENTS i think it goes both Wayss, like if you're
looking at it for me a fan, PERSPECTIVE i can
see what the emailer is talking, about you know about
the just the elements and the.
Speaker 3 (01:37:51):
You know ononic because we've won all of those.
Speaker 5 (01:37:53):
Games BUT i can't look at it like, that, Right
but from a football, perspective there's no doubt that it
becomes more individually like that team versus the, elements and
it does that team versus the, Opponent AND i don't Like.
Speaker 7 (01:38:08):
That's why to, ME i go back and forth on.
Speaker 3 (01:38:09):
IT i definitely see both.
Speaker 5 (01:38:11):
Sides, yeah but like it, depends like if it's a
regular season game and it's, not there's not a ton
of stakes on, It like it's just. Fun it's a snow. Game,
cool but like if you were, playing like imagine if
they played a Super bowl in a in a, blizzard
like that wouldn't be good for the, game, right so like,
it it.
Speaker 3 (01:38:30):
Wouldn't be good for, anybody, right you. Know, No AND
i definitely, Understand Like i'm not a huge dome.
Speaker 5 (01:38:36):
Guy like love, domes give the Fast, track BUT.
Speaker 3 (01:38:40):
I would rather have a dome being played where the
weather is not a huge. Factor it doesn't have to
be inside a dome where it's no factor at. All
then then You Drew.
Speaker 2 (01:38:50):
Brees the other thing you have to take into consideration
is the, fans you, know the comfort level of.
Speaker 3 (01:38:55):
Them you're you, know you're competing against.
Speaker 2 (01:38:59):
You, know sixty five inch screens with you, know the best,
sound and your fridge right next, door and the bathroom's
right there with no line and it's cheaper and, everything
and so you need to Create you'll never match that
in terms of. Comfort you beat it in terms maybe an,
excitement but you have to have some level of. Comfort
(01:39:21):
try to figure out how to not have, lines you,
know make the bathrooms, nice make the food selection really.
Cool you got to battle it some, way and you,
know ten degree weather can really hurt. You it.
Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
Can, well it's like that The titans playoff game in three,
oh that.
Speaker 15 (01:39:38):
Was that was.
Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
RIDICULOUS i, mean you can't To paul's, point you can't
say that people were playing at their top level right.
Speaker 3 (01:39:45):
GAME i want to see the two teams, play you,
know to the best of their, abilities and the better team.
Speaker 2 (01:39:50):
Wins.
Speaker 5 (01:39:50):
YEAH i mean That chargers game in twenty. EIGHTEEN i
remember as on the field level during warm ups and The,
chargers LIKE i could tell right away The charger in the,
game they were. Freezing they're In they're From San diego
at the. Time they were obviously, freezing like it was
twenty degrees and they some of their players were just
like in disbelief about how cold it was and like.
Speaker 2 (01:40:12):
IT i was, like oh, WOW i mean this IS
i remember The giants actually won the, game but the
year that they Beat Green bay up In Green bay.
Speaker 3 (01:40:20):
CONFIENCE i took feared For, coughlin like it looked like
he had frostbite on his. Face probably.
Speaker 4 (01:40:26):
Did.
Speaker 3 (01:40:26):
Ye, SEE i don't like that both teams are cold,
weather so no one really got an advantage out of.
It but that's not the way football quote unquote the
way it's supposed to be. Played that's not the way
it's supposed to be. Played just trying to.
Speaker 23 (01:40:37):
Survive Andy reid always was like it was frost by
the weast and oh ye had the boogers on the the, Mustache,
yeah the, frozen the frozen knows.
Speaker 5 (01:40:49):
ME i do FEEL i do feel Like i'm usually
in the minority on this. Though most people are with the,
emailer like the oh frozen.
Speaker 3 (01:40:56):
Tundra like EVERYBODY i would say over ninety percent or
like the, emailer and they just they don't like the you,
KNOW i like even PLAYING i like to find out
what the better team is not the one that's you,
KNOW i thought the wind for you, know didn't slip
in the.
Speaker 5 (01:41:11):
Pedal don't you remember when he took the, Win?
Speaker 3 (01:41:13):
Paul, oh, yeah it didn't. Work, YEAH i do it.
Worked what do you mean it didn't didn't?
Speaker 2 (01:41:19):
Work teams ball three?
Speaker 3 (01:41:20):
Times who won the? Game the win game In? Buffalo,
yeah the win game In.
Speaker 5 (01:41:25):
Buffalo that's why we practice in this, Crap.
Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
Paul so we throw the ball three, times like that's
the kind OF nfl G that's a perfect example of
What i'm talking. About that's WHAT i want to see
as AN nfl. GAME i want to see one team
not be able to throw the, ball so they throw
it three. Times and the other team who signs up for,
that who wants to see a game where you can't
throw the.
Speaker 5 (01:41:44):
Ball but that's. Why BUT i feel like.
Speaker 17 (01:41:47):
You.
Speaker 5 (01:41:48):
Lose people are, like, Oh i'm hearing. This this is
kind of What i'm expecting going into this. Game and
it's those types of. Games when they start airing it
out when it's negative three degrees in, windy.
Speaker 3 (01:41:58):
It's, like oh, Wow and you know What buffalo lost that?
Night couldn't catch no because McDermott didn't realize that the
wind wasn't Bothering Josh allen until it was too. Late Josh,
ALLEN i mean his receivers couldn't catch how they're trying
to catch cinder blocks because it was a frozen football
getting thrown at them sixty five miles an. Hour if they,
had just if they had played the whole game the
way they did the second half, offensively they win the.
Speaker 5 (01:42:20):
Game, YEAH i can see.
Speaker 3 (01:42:21):
That what about when it's extremely? Hot same, thing, RIGHT i.
Speaker 5 (01:42:25):
WAS i was thinking about this and The patriots the.
Same The patriots play The dolphins In week two In
miami this. YEAR i actually don't know if that's the
same it.
Speaker 3 (01:42:33):
IS i don't like the fact that one team is
more can do you, know play Like miami the way
they do, It you're you're baking in the.
Speaker 10 (01:42:39):
Sun.
Speaker 1 (01:42:40):
Miami.
Speaker 5 (01:42:40):
ABSOLUTELY i think there's so much more to being cold
during game than there is to be, hot because it's.
Speaker 3 (01:42:49):
EASIER i feel like to make yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:42:51):
Cooler is it?
Speaker 5 (01:42:52):
WHERE i don't, know it's my.
Speaker 3 (01:42:54):
OPINION i MEAN.
Speaker 5 (01:42:56):
I run blistering, hot SO i mean that's they they tend.
To But miami, too like they when They i'll never
forget that. Game AND i remember which year, Was it
Was brady, year so eighteen or, nineteen and they destroyed.
Him The patriots looked like gamebusters in the first. Half
he threw a rock at The Cordell patterson up the
scene for a touchdown like they were.
Speaker 3 (01:43:18):
Humming and then it was.
Speaker 5 (01:43:19):
Great it was the, gronk the Freaking miami miracle. Game
and all of a, sudden the second, half they just
completely ran out of gas because of how hot it,
was and and The patriots lost the.
Speaker 3 (01:43:29):
Game like they they were up at half by.
Speaker 5 (01:43:31):
Like twenty one to three something like. That they were
cruising and he caught up to.
Speaker 2 (01:43:36):
Them AND.
Speaker 3 (01:43:38):
I think that the intense heat has less of an
impact on how the game is, played but it absolutely
impacts the. Game oh, yeah not as much as intense.
Cold but there's a reason why those teams win more
often than not at. Home it's not because they're.
Speaker 5 (01:43:51):
Better. Miami the sideline thing is.
Speaker 3 (01:43:54):
Legit, ye they went down To jacksonville when it was
like nine the year In jacksonville wiped the.
Speaker 5 (01:43:59):
Floor, yeah it was right after THE Afc championship game
out twenty. Eighteen.
Speaker 2 (01:44:03):
Yep, Yeah Josh wright SIN i was wondering if the
team could or should add another linebacker in the near. Future,
Yes Behind, spelane There's gibbons And, ellis who are more
complimentary players and, starters And, tavai who's a bit inconsistent
and injured at the. MOMENT i throw out a name
like cuz Here, white who's still a free agent and
could probably contribute to a linebacking corps that's not particularly,
(01:44:25):
deep especially on the.
Speaker 3 (01:44:26):
INSIDE i think they could use some depth. Linebacker i'm
not telling you, who.
Speaker 5 (01:44:30):
BUT i would assume they go into camp with the
group they have, now and if we get two three
weeks into camp and they're not in love with what
they've seen from some of those depth, guys maybe they
bring a veteran in that's got some proven. Talent but
DON'T i don't necessarily think that there is panicked about.
LINEBACKERS a lot of we get a lot of emails about,
linebacker and people worried about. LINEBACKER i think that they
(01:44:52):
Like ellis and they Like Jack gibbons quite a. BIT
i think they feel pretty good about those ties Like
gibbs a. Lot, yeah as a role.
Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
Player claire writes In hello, Everyone Hello.
Speaker 2 (01:45:04):
Marine marine's not here, Today Hello.
Speaker 7 (01:45:06):
Alex i'm With.
Speaker 2 (01:45:08):
Evan i'm thinking The patriots are second in the division
and that show also win me a sandwich bet with
a co host shutters, too so let's. Go, Also i'm
not concerned With smith And. Pittsburgh The steelers don't scare.
Me even With.
Speaker 5 (01:45:23):
ROGERS i kind of.
Speaker 3 (01:45:25):
AGREE i don't Think rogers is very. SCARY i think
you are scare. Me they have a good.
Speaker 5 (01:45:29):
Roster they have a good, roster BUT i don't Think
rogers is as good as.
Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
Everybody's, yeah if he plays like he did In week
three last, year you're.
Speaker 5 (01:45:35):
Losing, WELL i would look at it that way as
like in terms of that individual, game just one.
Speaker 3 (01:45:40):
Game, Yeah i'm not worried about the Rest steelers winning
The Super. Bowl, Yes i'm with.
Speaker 5 (01:45:44):
YOU i think for because it's early on in the,
Season rogers won't be banged up, yet like all, right
he'll get the. SAME i imagine his season will go
very similar to what it did last year with The,
jets where early on in the year he played some
good football and then the bumps and is caught up to.
Him so The patriots get him. Early SO i would
be a little bit concerned about.
Speaker 3 (01:46:04):
THAT i, mean you could, just you, know pretend the
other team doesn't have any. Players i'm not worried about.
Them you, know you can pretend, like, well The patriots
have dominated The. Steelers that's absolutely. Fact, yeah but this
is a whole different, things a whole different.
Speaker 5 (01:46:17):
Teams i'm not worried about The steelers from a big pictures.
Perspective The week three game Against. PITTSBURGH i think it's
going to be a tough, Game.
Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
No but you're not worried about him from a big
picture for The pittsburgh in relations of the, league, correct
do you think The pittsburgh if you had to, guess
would you say The pittsburg will end up with a
better or worse record than The? Patriots really? SIMILAR i
THINK i Think pittsburgh is probably gonna end up with
a better, run maybe a little better.
Speaker 5 (01:46:40):
TEAM i, Mean pittsburgh is always a nine or ten
win team With, tomlin it seems like so now.
Speaker 3 (01:46:45):
If they you, know they're a little bit. Older as
we talked about in the beginning of the, show they
kind of went all. In so when you gets some
Injuries rogers can't hold, up then by all, means then
you Have Will howard playing quarterback.
Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
Eight five five past five. Hundred back to the, Phones
troy's In. Virginia Hey, Troy.
Speaker 8 (01:47:04):
Hey what's going?
Speaker 12 (01:47:04):
On?
Speaker 15 (01:47:04):
Guys?
Speaker 13 (01:47:05):
Hey, hey long time.
Speaker 11 (01:47:08):
Fan.
Speaker 24 (01:47:08):
Uh i'm currently from personally in the tickets to the
fillers Of patriots. Game this is my first time ever
being in The patriots. STADIUM i just have a few
questions on like what's to his? Sex and, uh, well
what if a good guideline to go?
Speaker 3 (01:47:28):
By, well do you know where your seats?
Speaker 12 (01:47:31):
ARE i believe it's in the one.
Speaker 2 (01:47:35):
Hundred, okay so you're down, below you're in the lower. Level,
yeah you know if you're like end zone, sideline any idea? Sideline,
okay so you got some good. SEATS i mean it's a,
stadium you. Know, uh here's the. Thing, No, no here's the.
(01:47:56):
Thing it's uh get there?
Speaker 7 (01:47:57):
Early are you going to be driving in taking the?
Speaker 2 (01:48:00):
Train how are you going to get to the?
Speaker 24 (01:48:02):
STADIUM i am currently looking for A. Rbnb suspands kind
of hard to find right.
Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
Now so you're looking for a place.
Speaker 24 (01:48:11):
To look at the, hotels it's LITTLE i did not
see any availability for that, date so it's kind of
making a little thing as little, challenging so it might
have to catch an uber or.
Speaker 2 (01:48:22):
Something, okay so if you're an, uber you know you
don't have to really worry about, traffic because well you,
do but you don't have to drive in it at,
Least but.
Speaker 7 (01:48:32):
Coming in shouldn't be a.
Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
Problem leaving the, game if you have anywhere to, be
make sure you have enough, time because it can be
there's only one road in and run one road. Out
so if you leave right after the, game especially if
it's a close game and everyone leaves at the same,
time it could be a couple hours getting.
Speaker 13 (01:48:52):
Home, Okay, okay so JUST i don't, Know i'll probably
would just kind of seed IF i A paula around
the uh The Patriots, place.
Speaker 24 (01:49:03):
To, say you know what type of ATTRACTIONS i can
probably get into After.
Speaker 13 (01:49:06):
Yeah and HOPEFULLY i can wait for my uber run that,
time and, yeah HOPEFULLY i have a good.
Speaker 2 (01:49:12):
Experiod, yeah if you, know if you have time on your, Hands,
yeah if you have time on your, hands hang out
At Patriot, place go to a.
Speaker 7 (01:49:19):
Restaurant, uh you, know just take your time and then
get your uber.
Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
Later did you check out the hotels At Patriot? Place
The renaissance or The Hilton garden.
Speaker 24 (01:49:29):
END i did not see any pretty much anything available
at the.
Speaker 13 (01:49:35):
Time try to check, again you, know now back and second.
Speaker 9 (01:49:37):
Gains HOPEFULLY i can have, something but.
Speaker 8 (01:49:40):
It just looks LIKE i might have to cat.
Speaker 12 (01:49:42):
AIR b AND b just to get out.
Speaker 2 (01:49:44):
There, yeah, Okay well and Enjoy. Troy, YEAH i would
hang out At Patriot place after the, game and don't
don't rush to get. Out yeah all, right, THANKS i
have with. Me, okay, thanks TRY i appreciate the. Call
enjoy the.
Speaker 5 (01:50:01):
Game you'd be amazed how many questions like just like
that people want to know many. People it's all over
read it all the time about, like you, know going
to a game for the first, time and like a
lot of people really speak highly of the. Train if
you're coming From. Boston the one drawback of the train
is that there's not really an opportunity to tailgate if
you want to, tailgate because you get it here an
(01:50:23):
hour before the, game so you're kind of stuck. There
but in terms of, efficiency and then also if you're
coming for the, weekend Obviously boston has a lot more
to offer than this, area so you can spend the
weekend In, boston take the, train take the event train
into and then spend most of your time In, boston you,
(01:50:44):
know and see What i'd be a little worried About
uber at. HOME i think you're trying to get An uber.
Here isn't that big of a, deal but trying to get.
Home everybody else.
Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Is looking getting An uber after any big, event pain
of the.
Speaker 5 (01:50:56):
Ass if you're coming from out of, TOWN i WOULD
i would personally recom men staying In, boston enjoying the,
city taking the event, TRAIN i would, agree and allowing
the event train to get you to and From boston
if you're not a, tailgator like if you're not really
dead set on, tailgating but if You're uber and you're
not really tailgating.
Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
Anyways.
Speaker 5 (01:51:15):
Right, also, again be aware that little area around Bass
pros so you can get At kaotic with the ubers
because that's where The uber pickup spot. Is so everyone
is just standing right. There so that's why the train's.
Nice two is right after the, game like you have
a ride, out there's no traffic to worry about or
anything like. That it gets you back into the city
in an.
Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
Hour at, Home, Yeah eddie's In.
Speaker 2 (01:51:36):

Speaker 3 (01:54:38):
WELL i just, wish And i've said this To fred
for twenty five plus years, now that there was some
WAY i could harness this for the, good, right for
the cold good it's called, trivia but you don't get
anything for. It people for, like you, Know Patriots, jeopardy
LIKE i would, dominate, Right.
Speaker 2 (01:54:56):

Up nelson?
Speaker 8 (01:55:07):
Today did you just hear?
Speaker 6 (01:55:08):
That did you witness?
Speaker 9 (01:55:09):
That?
Speaker 3 (01:55:10):
ONES i don't remember always the offensive.
Speaker 4 (01:55:12):
One yeahn't is. THAT i was just trying to, say
how are you gonna say that is gonna have a
bit of a record Than, man that's not gonna.
Speaker 8 (01:55:17):
Happen he doesn't Care.
Speaker 2 (01:55:20):
Steelers you don't think The steelers will have a better
record The? Patriots, OKAY i.
Speaker 3 (01:55:24):
Think evans prediction is probably the closest. One like they'd
probably be very. SIMILAR i mean they won ten games last,
year so, yeah everybody hates.
Speaker 8 (01:55:33):
It they got different, Players, yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:55:36):
Better better, players, like, Yeah pittsburgh has better.
Speaker 8 (01:55:39):
Players quarterback he's a big cry.
Speaker 4 (01:55:41):
Baby it doesn't go well for.
Speaker 8 (01:55:43):
Him he cries a.
Speaker 3 (01:55:43):
Lot because because he sucks Great Aaron. Rodgers he didn't
want any games in this.
Speaker 4 (01:55:49):
League, yeah it's not gonna go.
Speaker 3 (01:55:52):
Well it didn't take long back to back four win.
Seasons but we're right back to everybody else sucks but.
Us it took one offseason and of getting vable now
everybody else ought to except for The patriot but The.
Speaker 5 (01:56:03):
Steelers to be, fair The steelers are are terribly. Mediocre
like The steelers are.
Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
Terribly mediocre at nine or ten, Wins.
Speaker 5 (01:56:10):
Yeah perpetually a nine or ten win team that Can
we hope that and that's what we're hoping to get.
To you was probably the Most pittsburgh is going this.
Way we hope The patriots are doing it. Going but
that wasn't the.
Speaker 2 (01:56:21):
Question you don't think That Aaron rodgers is a better
quarterback Than Justin.
Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
Fields, Well Russell wilson was. There he wasn't last. YEAR
i don't.
Speaker 9 (01:56:30):
Know, no he.
Speaker 3 (01:56:30):
Wasn't but they're both. WASHED i mean it's he was.
Speaker 5 (01:56:33):
Washing BUT.
Speaker 3 (01:56:35):
I would just, say if you're asking me for WHO
i think is on the rise and who's on the,
DECLINE i would agree With. EVAN i think The patriots
are on the rise And steelers are on the other,
way going the other. Way but this Year pittsburgh has
a better. Roster i'd agree with. That when an established
coach who thanks there and Thanks, NELSON i agree with.
That that's ALL i, KNOW i THINK i think your
(01:56:57):
your prediction is the best. One it's like a third
TIME i said, It, like they'll probably be very similar
in the. End, yeah BECAUSE i think the ten.
Speaker 5 (01:57:05):
WINS i think both their coaches coach to a baseline
for the most, part where you, Know tom has never sputtered,
out like he's never flamed out and in the. Season
BUT i think that brings a similar level of your
seven wins is probably your, baseline and then you'll see what.
Happens BUT i, mean so there's one ten games last
year their playoff, team AND.
Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
I think they're. Better you, KNOW i don't know for
sure that they but like the moves that they, did you, Know,
yeah But Darius, slay you Know, Ramsey, YEAH i think
they've gotten better. Now they better EXTEND T. J. Watt
you don't want your best player to be. Disgruntled we
saw how that worked With cincinnati last year when they
started the season.
Speaker 2 (01:57:46):
Miserably, yeah all, right that's gonna be it for this
edition Of Patriot. FILTERED i GOTTA i gotta CALL i
