Speaker 1 (00:03):
Your tune's about drive on your twenty four to seven
home of the Black and Goal Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
It's a five star matchup because we're.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
In We're here, good evening, Steeler Nation. How we do it? Well,
that's good us too.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Our number two here on the Drive West Shooler Matt
Williamson talking all things Steelers and Lions to get you
ready for Sunday four twenty five at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Matt,
let's spend the block here. I talked a little bit
about Lions offense, those dangerous playmakers against the Steelers defense.
Where's it start for the Steelers offense? A couple good weeks. Yeah,

(00:56):
DK Metcalf has really come alive. Aaron Rodgers has really
come alive. We know that this is a Detroit defense
that plays a certain way, has some dudes, but also
has some key absences, much like the Steelers right now.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, they do. Where's their secondary?

Speaker 4 (01:11):
If you're looking at the Steelers offense, where do you
think they can cut their teeth? Where do you think
they have some matchup advantages against this line?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, Hutchinson's a guy to worry about.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
That's probably the best way to start.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, I think he's their best player. He's a premier
defensive end, yes, and they'll move him around, but he's
more of He'll probably come from Rogers right against Falton,
who more often. But I wonder, you know, as well
as Cook played, would I put my stud against the
unproven guy? You know, so I'm curious how much he

(01:41):
alignes on each shore. But either way. Mohammed on the
other side, is more of a designated pass rusher type.
But he's got a lot of sacks too, so they'll
get after the quarterback. But all starts with Hutchinson a
thousand percent. Yeah, I mean he's a.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Very, very he I know we mentioned this, I think
maybe Wednesday or yesterday, but if he would have stayed
healthy last year, he would have likely won the Defensive
Player of the Year.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
The day he got hurt, he was that was when
the voting was. He would have won.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
He was the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
So he's been that type of player. So now if
again this kind is back to like the sool conversation,
no matter what, if Cook's struggling against Mohammad and you
got to help him, is Troy ready to do that alone?
You know? Like maybe I'm not saying.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Enough bullets in your holster.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah yeah, I mean I'm super high on Foulton and
he's gonna have plenty of one on one reps against
Hutch But it's not gonna be like Seoul, where I
don't care who that dude is.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
You got him?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I mean he's six. Yeah, so that part interests me.
Jack Campbell's has become a great player or borderline great
player on the second level. He's their leader. We talked
to Missy about Queen. That's Campbell's, you know, a big
time way too. He's playing better than Queen. He's playing
better than just about every linebacker but the secondary he

(02:59):
used to be strength. I mean had a first round picking. Arnold.
Branch is a phenomenal slat slash safety. Joseph is an
exceptional safety that no one ever talks about. And all
those dudes are out, you know, they're playing some guys
I mean Arthur Malette and you know people like that
that should probably not be out there.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Is Joseph for the year like Branch, I.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Don't know, but I don't think he's available for this one.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
You know, he's been out for a little while, so
I think it's not a particularly good defense as currently
constructed to be Frank, I mean we talked about the
good things because everything else is pretty rough. Now. I
think you can run on them. But I'm curious. Are
the Steelers going to try to shorten this game, make

(03:42):
it somewhat of a rock fight battle it out? I
think that's a mistake because I think you need to
play this game like you have to get the thirty points.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I agree with you on that. Yeah, this is not
it is not a rock fight type game.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Is the weather?

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I mean just it's is like even with Joe Flacco,
you went to Cincinnati knowing you're gonna have to score
some points.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, you know on that mentality, I think it's that.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
I think it's that same kind of to use a
Mike Tomlin analogy like this is, this is gonna be
like a gunfighter matchup. Gunfighters get shot sometimes, but you
but you gotta hit the target more often than you
get shot. I think it's gonna be one of those.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
You gotta come o guns of Blazer.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
You're gonna give up some explosives.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
They're gonna score some points, but you you gotta you
gotta answer the bell. They're gonna land some hay Makers.
You're gonna land some hay Makers. Who's got more juice
at the end?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yeah, I hope they don't view it up. We'll punt
and pin them deep and field position.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Game almost almost impossible to do against, right.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Because they're gonna have big plays, They're gonna consistently move football,
they're gonna score points. So that part I'm interested in.
We've talked about this, but I do think it really
stands out from a tactical situation is this team is
very light on defensive backs, and even when they're healthy,
they want to stay in their base as much as.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
They only want four dbs on the field.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Of Yeah, and now, the Steelers don't play eleven I
mean much. They're the lowest in the league, but they
still play it a lot. I mean, it's still forty
percent of their snaps or with three receivers, not like
they don't know what they're doing in eleven. And their
yards per uh play are really high in eleven. They're

(05:27):
like six best out of every team in the league
out of eleven personnel, which doesn't quite add up to
me because the receivers are not, you know, one of
the best groups in the league. But do you just
lean into that, especially now with feeling and mvs being
a little bit more I think stable up the speed, Yeah,
I think so. I heard this. I didn't double check it,
but I think last week against the Dolphins was one

(05:51):
of their highest eleven personnel of the of the year.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
I believe, so, like close to forty or something like that,
which is a lot for the YEA.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
So maybe that's the approach, and as we come out
in eleven eleven eleven. Now there's an argument, is Valdez
Scantling as good as the tight end that's going to
be on the bench because he's not on the field.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Probably not, But it is a better way to attack
your first.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Right and get to those thirty points.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I certainly think that's fair, as you and I laid
out yesterday from your stats packet. While the Steelers are
towards the bottom of the league in terms of percentage
of eleven personnel, they're top five and yards per play
when they are in eleven person Yeah, they're good at it. So, Matt,
you and I know this. Any true contending team in
the National Football League and any other sport you name it,

(06:38):
they can beat you in multiple ways.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Yeah, you can't just be it's not.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
This is the script and it has to stick to it.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
And even yeah, somebody's gonna some South pod is going
to knock you out.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Even a team like the Eagles last year who won
the Super Bowl playing a very defined style, they had
games in that run where Jalen Hurts and aj Brown
in the past game had had to make some plays
like where they couldn't just lean on Sake one in
the defense all the time. You, I think, and you
talked about this earlier in the Week two. The offense
is growing, but is there still a ceiling there? Like

(07:09):
if you if you want to start to raise that
ceiling in those expectations, you got to be able to
I'll do the self deprecating thing here. You got to
be able to win a game thirteen to nine, and
you got to be able to win a game thirty
three to twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, and I really think this is the latter.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Well to speak to that. Only three times this year
have the Lions not scored twenty or more points. Really,
one of them was in their very first game of
the season when they put up thirteen at Lambeau. Okay,
but since then, in October in Kansas City, they scored seventeen.
In Philadelphia about a month ago they scored nine. But
you look at their last handful of games, thirty four

(07:45):
point thirty four points last week, forty four the week
before that, twenty four of the week before that, thirty
four of the week before that, forty four, twenty four,
twenty four, thirty seven, thirty four, thirty eight to fifty two.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Yeah, I mean they.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
In all likelihood are going to score at least twenty
something points and what they do and that's about the
line of demarcation for the Steelers offense too. Like when
you typically can score twenty five, twenty seven or more,
you got a great.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Chance to win.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
If it's Denver's defense, it's Houston's defense, I would still
pick them to get the twenty four plus. I mean,
it's that good offense. There's too many things to stop,
especially in their building with no weather. Goff's much better
at home, He's much better in a dome. You know,
there's something to be said for that. While you their
schedule up, is that sure? Just I thought so. I
can't remember if we went over this or not either,

(08:36):
but I definitely had this conversation with Pursuito last night,
Like he asked, like, what we're talking saying all this
good stuff about the Lions and we know they're a
good team and we think they could still win the
Super Bowl. He's like, well, how do they so many losses?
I'm like, all their losses are good losses.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Yeah, I mean they play in LA at Green Bay,
at Kansas City, at Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Right, I'm like, well, they play in the Artist Division.
They were first play schedule, and they did battle with
some really good teams and came up a little short.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
I mean Minnesota is the only you know, so non.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Game they lost, right, they didn't lose the Raiders and
the Browns.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
Sure, it is funny, Yeah, but yeah, they they are, man,
They're They're dangerous. That's That's just what I keep coming
back to, even as kind of the proverbial wounded animal
that they are a little bit right now and not
quite the heavyweight that they felt like at times over
the last couple of years. Still very dangerous and they
might be, or they probably are, that that proverbial wounded

(09:38):
animal that's back into a corner and they know they
have to bring their a game on something.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Maybe is what worries me the most about this matchup.
And but you mentioned to start the show about what's
the Steeler injury situation and who's actually gonna be dressing
for this game? And by no means am I saying
the Steelers will punt this one. But let's say herbig,
if he's truly a fifty to fifty, do you play
him in this one? Or do you save them for
the two divisions, for the two divisional games? Yeah, and

(10:03):
then maybe in the playoffs or I mean, I do
know that the Steelers win the Ravens lose. You're in
really really good shape, you know, And so I wonder,
I mean, these guys that are truly questionable, will they
go or not?

Speaker 3 (10:21):
It's a great question and a whole listen.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
That's always part of the equation this time of year
is trying to bounce the way you're playing, your injury
status and trying to get all those things to kind
of emoginate and acquiesce at the right time heading into
the postseason, and.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Every team's goal is how can we win the Super Bowl?
Until you're eliminated, what's the best path of using your
best guys to get to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
You know, it's a fair question to ask at this point.
It really is.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
That'll do it for five Star Friday when we come
back on the other side. Let's go around the league
Week sixteen games. A lot of important, good games this week.
We'll give our thoughts and our predictions on all of
those before we close with final thoughts and predictions for
the Steelers and the Lions.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Plenty more.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Meet on the Bone here on the Drive today, Euler Williamson,
Steelers Nation Radio on the Steelers Audio Network, your tunes.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
About Drive on your twenty four to seven home of
the Black and Goal Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
A massive Week sixteen slate begins on Saturday and rolls
into Sunday.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
And an important game on Monday night as well.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
Matt Williamson, that road road is narrow, and it's the
most wonderful time of the year. College football playoff begins
at eight o'clock tonight Norman between the Sooners and the
tid I'm sure whichever.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
A quick question about that that game from a Steeler
perspective and finding their next quarterback. I assume we want
Ty Simpson to not only win that game, but play
well and raise his stock, go to the pros, go
take Bama through the playoffs a little bit.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
This is an interesting like you and I could probably
spend fifteen minutes on this, I know, yeah, but I
guess then that would come going to bring it up, Like.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
At the end of the segment, I'm like, this is
gonna be able to be a long conversation. I should wait,
and I want to make sure I talked about it
before the game.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
If you want more, if you're convinced that this is
the year the Steelers have the capital, have the resources,
push those chips into the pile and go get your
next franchise quarterback, yeah, then I would think you want
him to play well because you want more hats in
that ring.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
We want three top ten quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Exactly right, right, right right.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
If you're someone who's saying I've soured on this group,
I want to be involved in twenty seven, there's going
to be a lot more options.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
You won't have to you know, the supply and demand thing.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
There'll be a lot more supply even if the demand
is the same, because there's always the man for quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Right, how do you take a receiver in round one
so that that quarterback falls into having building the nests
or whatever.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Totally right, totally, So that would be my answer, as
it depends if you want, if you want the Steelers
to draft their next or step up to the plate
and try and draft their next quarterback franchise quarterback in
April on the north shore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sure, then
I think you want Ty Simpson a ball out tonight.
If you're saying, no, I've seen the light. This year's class,
there's only two guys I'm interested in, and we're not

(13:27):
going to be able to go up that high to
get them. Save it for twenty seven where maybe twenty
seven is one of those years where there's six quarterbacks,
five or six quarterbacks in the first round and instead
of moving from the twenties to six to get one,
you only have to move from the twenties to twelve
to get on.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, hopefully thirty two to twelve.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Well that's the that's the idea of scenario.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Baby.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
The short answer might be, and I'm probably a lot
of our listeners are going, well, is Rogers coming back
or not?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
That's a big part of it too.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
It's no that Ill then again, if it's if it's
I could also argue.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Love to have that guy learned from rod That's what
I was going to say.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
The answer, Yes, I almost want it to be this
year because I would like that guy to learn from
Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Free and George and unless it's Freezing point case in point.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
But unless it's Fernando Mendoza, I don't think any of
those other quarterbacks are ready to step in and be
the dude right away either. And absolutely, so that's an
interesting question from you.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I mean, it can't hurt for him to play well, obviously,
but I would imagine if he stumbles or they have
a tough game and he gets eliminated, he wus.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
It's a big one for him, Matt because, like I said,
that Oklahoma defense is legit, right, it's one that it's
one that like the Italian evaluators are going to watch
the watch the tape on Yeah, and he played probably
his worst game of the season against them about a
month ago at home and in Tuscaloosa. Now he's in
Norman at the Palace on the Prairie. You know, eighty
thousand screaming Sooners out there on a Friday night. One

(14:55):
thing I could guarantee you, Matt, is that whatever team
loses tonight, I'm sure their fan base will hand very
well with dignity and class and grace and not want
their head coaches head by the time they wake up
Saturday morning. The NFL slate does begin Saturday five pm. Matt,
this is one of those ones that before the year
you thought this could be a really great, really important game.

(15:16):
But the Commanders host the Eagles there at land in Landover,
the Eagles touchdown favorites, seven point favorites on the road.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
That seems to like to me, it does. I mean,
I think Washington's playing really poorly in their defensive shot.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
Agree, I think weird things happen in those NFC East
divisional games, And I think I'm not ready to fully
buy back the Eagles did what they should have done
at home to the Raiders last week.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah, but I don't even know what the take apartment.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
And so maybe that's what this line.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Is rest everyone in the fourth quarter, I mean, the
Raiders aren't embarrassment.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Maybe that's what this line. This line is is like, Hey, yeah,
the Eagles are gonna win this game, but we don't
think they're as fixed as they looked last week.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
I wonder if this line if they played this game,
excuse me, a week ago, it shouldn't be any different, because, like,
I didn't learn a lot more about the Eagles just
because they wall up the worst team lea.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
I learned they're still a playoff team, and they might
not be they might not be great anymore, but they're
still good. I might like, they can still take the
maybe the worst team in the NFL at home and
you know, beat them around like a bunch of potatoes
in a sack for three hours at Lincoln Financial Field.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
But I don't know the Washington is that much worse off.
I mean, the Raiders are their own class, but.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
They're they're a level up on offense from the Raiders, certainly,
that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
The quarterbacks are line yes, fifteen in terms of the
best teams in the league. This line will be higher. Same.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
But it also strikes me as the game that kind
of the Eagles are full control the whole time in
the driver's seat, but they never pull away. May run
the ball a lot, Yeah, we'll see. I will definitely
lay the points with Philadelphia. Know I'm gonna air on
the side of the Eagles. On this one. Yeah, and
then Saturday and night, Matt, A great one with big implications.

(17:00):
Eight twenty Saturday Night, I'm gonna be like the SpongeBob
where SpongeBob like has his eyes looking in two directions
at the same time.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
I'm gonna have the.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
JMU Organ game on one TV in the Chicago Green
Bay game on the other TV. Uh in Chicago Soldier Field, Matt,
you know, I like to highlight this. This is like
the highest I think maybe that I can remember all year.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
The get in price. Oh yeah, I bet cheapest ticket.
You want to guess four to oh one? Wow, you're
pretty close. That was pretty good.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
I think that we've seen some high three hundreds for
games this year, but I think this might be the
first one that I've seen over four hundred.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Is the cheapest ticket of Man, that's those Bleeds maybe.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
It's a They're gonna be nuts there at Soldier Field
ready for this one against them.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
There last time the Bears mattered in at Christmas.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Uh, probably when Jay Cutler took them to the NFC
Championship game fifteen years ago.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Like we talked about with Missy, I mean that Detroit
fan base for my whole life, didn't much to root for,
and when they do, they're good to get it heavy.
Brown could be one of the Browns ever have a
year that they oh my.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
That place will shake to the ground.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Right if you actually are a really good.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
It's like the way Orchard Park is now in Buffalo.
Those fans have been so die hard forever and have
nothing to be rewarded for it until like the last
four or five years.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Right. You don't remember like the Shotgun Kelly years, but
that that's they were unbelievable like that.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
And then it was I think, you know, I think
I've told you this before, but you know how much
i love the college football atmosphere. And I've been blessed
to be to some some big college football games, and
I've been to the Big House, and I've been to
Happy Valley, and I've been to Death Valley and all
these places. Orchard Park and Buffalo is the closest I've
ever seen to a collegiate atmosphere. Oh yeah, there's some
great there's some great ones. Baltimore gets rocking at times,

(18:51):
Philly gets rocking, Pittsburgh gets rocking, Cleveland gets rocking. For
as bad as they are Seattle. I told you a
couple of years ago was a great atmosphere year. But dude,
Orchard Park, it's like the stands are still dumpy bleachers
like a college stadium, and there's.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Like stadium's like in a neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Every piece of grass and asphalt turns into tailgates space
on game day, much like a college town. Like people
are set up in someone's front yard and in the
H and R block. You could park in the H
and R block parking lot for thirty bucks. You know,
it's awesome there. I love it, But that's Chicago.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Your point, though, Chicago's going to be on fire.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Might be the best atmosphere of the season to this point.
I mean there on Saturday night, where the Bears are
point and a half.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Favorite, it happens to be the dreaded rival who's.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Owned us for the last fifteen to twenty years.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
I wish Green Bay was healthier. The Bears also aren't
gonna have a doomsday or burden from what I understand,
so they're gonna be a little short. You said it's
a point and a.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Half, point and a half Bears are favored.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
I'd like, I'll take the home team I think Chicago's
ready to win that game.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
I think so too.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Yeah, I don't feel strong about it. It's kind of
sit back and watch. We're go into a family Christmas
party all day and we're gonna be home by then.
I'm just going to be parked there. Feed up probably
won't pay a ton ton attention to the first game.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
I think it's going to be one of those close
games between two rivals, and you know, winter weather in Chicago.
I'll give the Bears the advantage of the home field atmosphere.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Yeah, I probably would just take the home team.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
To push to push him over the line. Yeah, I'm
with you on that one.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
On to Sunday in Cleveland, the Browns look to continue
to roll at Huntington Bank Field there on the Lake
in downtown Cleveland. Ten and a half points, second biggest
spread of the weekend.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
The Bills are favored over Ten's a lot against that
against that Brown's defense. It is, but have they done
the Cancun on three thats today?

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Exactly what I was going to say too, And they
get We're.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Gonna get Miles Garrett at least one more sack this year,
and that's really all that matters.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
And this Shador's first fourth start of his career. I mean, like,
is he gonna be able to elevate people in a
game that the Bills have to have. I think I'll
lay the points. Maybe weather makes it close and the
Bills control the whole thing. But weather doesn't seem to
slow the Bills down, so it doesn't slow Josh Allen.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
Though, No, no, definitely not. I'm I'm completely with you
on that one. In Dallas, the Chargers look to continue
despite a lot of reasons not to win games. Dallas
a two and a half point home favorite against Herbert
and Harbaugh and company.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
I question the Chargers every week, and I pick against
them every week, and I've been wrong a lot, and
I'm still gonna do it. I still think their own
line is a real problem, and I think Dallas scores
on anybody, I mean in their building. I know they've
any to play for really anymore, but I think that
Dallas is prettydarn good.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
I think you're right.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
They just worry me again as the team that like
has had so many roller coaster up and downs this year,
and they're and they're checked out. I think I think
I'm gonna take the two and a half points.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Of the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
I contally understand that.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I'm with you.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
I've been waiting for them to fall apart, and they've
found every way to scratch and claw and continue to win.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Maybe they lose this one, but I'll take the points.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I was asked the other day is like, and the
question asker knew that the answer was no, could should
Herbert get MVP consideration? I'm like, no, But if I
had to put a ballot together of my top five.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Picks, it's a fair question.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Yeah, right, right, I mean it's not outlandish.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
If it's the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Yeah, and you know
a hand he's invited, three four five guys get invited
to the to the ceremony.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
He's invited, right, I mean, considering what he's had to
overcome and how important he's been to his teams and
the hits he's taken and the pressure he's been under.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Yes, Matt.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
In one of the what'll probably be dullest games of
the weekend in Nashville, the Pat Mahomes and playoff list
Kansas City Chiefs head to Music City, where they are
three point favorites on the road.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
In Tennessee, Tennessee's still playing hard and wards showing improvement
and they're running the football. But Minshew's not, you know,
like Brady Cook's going to start this week again. Yeah,
Minshew's not. You know, one of those things.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
He's a viable NFL back.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
He's gonna be in the league as long as he wants.
I wonder how much is like Kelsey and Chris Jones
gonna play going forward. I mean, they gonna be spot players,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
See the Kelsey stuff that had all the Chiefs fans
bugging out this week On on on the New Heights
podcast that he does with his brother Jason, they were
talking about the Mahomes injury, obviously, and he kept referencing
the Chiefs, the Chiefs, the Chiefs not hopefully when he's
back for the Chiefs, hopefully the Chiefs can. And everyone's like,
he's not saying us, He's not saying us. See, this

(23:34):
means he's done. He knows he's done. He's not saying us,
He's saying the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Well, I don't think he's coming back.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
I don't know why he would. I just wonder what
he does for like this game and the rest of
his the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
This is a weird one. I might take the points
with Tennessee.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
I just is Kansas Is Kansas City gonna be the
we haven't been in this position in so long, and
everything's just gonna go so flat. No Mahomes, no playoffs.
We've been in the AFC Championship Game in the Super
Bowl for seven straight years.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
They have a lot of line injuries.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
We're old, we're beat up. We've played a lot more
football than everybody else.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
For next year, we'll come back strong with pat and
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
I might take Tennessee plus three. If I could get
that up to like three and a half, I would.
I'd really consider it.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Hey, Frankly, if I were Andy Reid, I might start
treating this like a bowl game, you know, bowl game practices,
where you play all.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Your game, get some freshman sophomore exactly.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Yeah. Right.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
In Miami South Beach, the Bengals had to face the
Dolphins in the battle of which team wants this more.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I guess I was high on both these teams till
last week.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Till last week.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Yeah, Cincinnati four and a half point favorites in South Beach.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
I mean, we're getting the Texas kid, Quinn yours. Yeah, Wolf,
I'll guess I'll bet on Borrow.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
I think so. But man, something feels off there too.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I know I'd kind of like to bet against both
these teams right now.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
I I'm with you the over unders forty seven and
a half, which feels a little high.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
I might just I might just good whether I guess, yeah, true,
both of these teams seem so checked out. I know
Miami at this point.

Speaker 4 (25:08):
Yeah, but that's one of those that's the grinch. I'm
not touching it. With a thirty nine and a half
foot poll. In New Orleans, the Jets had to face
the Saints. This one could have draft pick draft order implications,
but that's about it.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
I tell you the bet I made yesterday. I should
tell our fans.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
No, I don't think you told me. You told us
about the Houston Texans won a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Weeks ago, shocked to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
I know that sounds bonkers, but if you look at
the same of the candidates, it's such a terrible year.
The Saints have won two or three in.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
A row a Mecchabuka.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
He's really falling down. That's falling down. Yeah. My point is, though,
the Saints have three very winnable games to end this thing.
If they it's like, I think it's like Jets, Raiders, Falcons.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
And this is the time of year when those awards
are won.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
If they win out and it paid sixty and one,
that's the thing, you know. It's like I didn't I
like Dalahalla right. I mean, he's playing really well. I
think they win this game the Jets on I take.
I mean, if the Jets played the Raiders. I picked
the Jets.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
The Saints win their last three games. If they win
two of the three, and he looks the part doing it, I.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
He's gonna be in the conversation. It's a terrible year for.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
It, Matt. All games are created equal, but some are
more equal than others.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Someone a couple of you tweeted me. By the way,
I got the wrong George Orwell book. That's not from
nineteen eighty four, that's from Animal Farm. I apologize. I'm
not an English I'm not an English Lit major like
Matt Williamson over here animal Farm. Okay, thank you for
the thank you for the reminders on Twitter, the other
George Orwell book, for these individual awards. All games are
created equal, but some are more equal than others. And

(26:43):
this it's like the highs.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
You know, Quarterbacks almost always win it.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Quarterbacks almost always win it, And like for those guys
that win the Heisman, what you do in November is
a lot more important than what you do in September. Yeah,
what you do in December is a lot more important
than what you do in October.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
I don't hate that.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
I brought it up and people on Twitter are like, wow, Dark,
I'll get it over him.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
No, he's miss man.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
I think if Shuck wins the last.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
One, now, Dart could have a couple of strong Who
is the betting favorite right now in Vegas? Is it
a Mecca, Buka maybe holding on?

Speaker 2 (27:11):
I think it's Tech McMillan. Okay, I think they're the
top two, but Abuka has done nothing for a while.
I don't think it's any of the backs. It's Oh,
Travon Henderson's coming on strong. I got some feedback on
that he's coming on strong. His odds are getting better
and better and better.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
Where it's at that would scare me Travon Henderson is
number one now a Mecca Abuka, then Teed McMillan, then
Jackson Dart, then Tyler Shuck. Okay, so your boys, your
boys in the top five. Yeah, you got him at
sixteen to one. Yeah, he's down to twelve to one
right now. It's moving in the list of Hey, how
about this, Let's keep an eye on that for the
next couple of weeks ago and every Friday.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Let's revisit you so easy.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
If he wins out, if he wins like his last
five games, hey, it's a chance.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
I don't hate your logic there.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
And those are also the kind of bets that I
like to make, the ones that the ones that off
really really well down the stretch. Speaking of Jackson Dart
and those g men, they host the Minnesota Vikings one
o'clock at MetLife Stadium. The Vikings two and a half
point road favorites.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I'll take the Vikes, but I'm not exactly sure that
you know McCarthy's over the hump and back to playing.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Well, I'm not either, but I think they at least
they're in the bowl game thing.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
They've got some stuff to play for for the future.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Yeah, and I know the Giants do with I know
the Giants do with dark, but they're down basically every
other key. I mean, and they they have just they
feel like they have fallen off the face of the
earth these last couple of weeks, the Giants.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
I think so, I mean, the Vikings best day is
better in the Giants day.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
I don't think it's particularly close. The Vikings best day.
They can beat a team like the Lions. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I think two and a half.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
I'll definitely lay that with Minnesota in what will be
a pretty tame atmosphere there.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
I mean, East Ruth a pretty good deal on tickets.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Matt a huge one in the NFC South.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
Might not quite as sexy is three verse eleven and
three last night, but similar implications.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
It's funny we do a six pack on my show
as we feature six games, and you got the six
pretty quick this week, Like I guess we have to
do this. We got the division title, but one.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Of the most important in terms of playoff informations. It
is between two seven and seven teams, but somebody has
to win that division. In Charlotte, the Panthers host the Bucks,
where Tampa Bay is a three point road favorite.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
I'm taking Tampa reluctantly. This is another one, kind of
like the Chargers, right. I just keep thinking Tampa is
going to get back to being a playoff looking team
and they don't know.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
I just trust them more than the Panthers.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
That's the thing Panthers are to get. I mean they
lost the Saints. Well, both these teams just lost in
the division. But yeah, I mean I'll take the box.
I don't know if they should be favored.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
I don't like the line.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
I don't know either.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
If it's two and a half, I'd lay it with Tampa.
If it was three and a half, I'd take the
points with Carolina. It's a good line by Vegas. I'll
lay them with Tampa. Still, I'm gonna air on the
side of the Buccaneers, the team that's been to the
playoffs five straight years.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
And I'm just looking like Godwin's back and Evans is
back and.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
You know, Matt both into the four o'clock slate, four
o'clock hour of games now, uh, this game. Both of
these teams are going to the playoffs, but first round byes,
divisional titles, all of that still on the line. In
a big one at Mile High Stadium, where the Broncos
are three and a half point home favorites over the
Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Who just signed Jacobe Meers yesterday. He's been you know,
look good in black and gold on he would have,
but he really completed things for them. They've made a
noticeable turnaround on offense since he's been around. Thirty work. Guy,
I'm believing in Jacksonville, but I am taking Denver.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
You gonna lay the three and a half? Yeah, see,
I think I'm gonna take the three and a half.
That's another one of those. I know, if it moved,
i'd lay them, but at three and a half, I
don't love it's over three over a field goal.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I think Denver such a brutal place to play. It
is one note.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
There are another one of those legit good atmospheres.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Oh I'm sure. Yeah. I can't figure out if Jacksonville's
oh lines good or not because when they play really
good pass rushes, they let up a lot of pressure.
But when they play average or below, they do a
really good job. But this is you know, like almost
all their sacks are against like Houston this year. You know, yes,
but that's who they're playing you know. I mean, they're
playing a team that is one of the best pass

(31:23):
rushing teams out there. So I'm gonna bet on that,
and I like what Nix has done lately.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
That will be one that we will definitely have in
the That's a really good game in the in the
booth for the first quarter until the until the Steelers
kick off again. They absolutely could, absolutely could, Matt. The
lowest get in price of the weekend is in Arizona,
where for just twelve dollars, for just twelve bucks, you
can see the Cardinals host the Falcons.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
How could you not go for twelve bucks?

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Is it Arizona?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Maybe I didn't go to Penn games in nineteen eighty two.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
See though, this is they were a buck. This is
one of those things Pirate Game. I do give them
credit for this. Like this time of year in Phoenix,
you can find a lot of other In Glendale, you
can find a lot of other things to do than
go sit in a stadium for four hours. Oh yeah,
the weather's still nice. Yeah, there's a million things to
do outdoors. It's like I get a chuckle sometimes when

(32:14):
people when fan bases play that card, like oh yeah, no,
one goes to our games because there's so.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Much to do.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Yeah, I'm gonna go surfing instead. Like, yeah, I San Diego.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
I hear that a lot from like Tom and some
of our pit buddies, Like, yeah, there's nothing to do
in WVU. Of course, you guys sell tickets. There's plenty
to do here in Pittsburgh. Like I'm like, buddy, this
is not Southern California. Okay, as much as I love
Western Pennsylvania, let's not act like it's Florida or Southern
California or Glendale, Arizona.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
In December, I.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Want to go to the mountains. I want to go
to the beach. Or do I want to watch Cardinals terrible?

Speaker 1 (32:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Two t with losing records, Atlanta three point road favorites.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
I guess I'll take points. I kind of think they're
both on the same tier.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
I think i'll lay them with it. I feel like
we're going against each other more this week than we
usually do.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
I just think Arizona's kind of due to win. Maybe
I don't think they're horrible.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
I think Atlanta just Atlanta just has some more guys
with pride.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Better players. Yeah, I think like Marvin Harrison's coming back though,
and I don't know, I don't feel strong about it.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
They are due to win, though, You're right, win only
done that once in like their last eleven or twelve games.
Matt in Houston, your AFC favorite and a team that
is playing some of the best football of anybody in
the National Football League right now, the Hot Texans host
the Antarctica Raiders and a.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
I don't care what spread, I'm not picking Raider. You couldn't.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
You couldn't probably have two teams heading more in the
opposite direction of these two right now, and the line
reflects it. It is by far the biggest spread of
the weekend. Houston a fourteen and a half point favorite
in a game where the over under is only thirty
seven and a half. Now it's the lowest over under
of the weekend and the highest point spread of the week.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
This is harder math than it should be, but so
that that means the projected total.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
Is like twenty eight to ten twenty.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
No, that's eighteen points bread.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Twenty seven to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
So they're they're projecting. That's why I'm trying to go.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Twenty four to ten.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
What's the Raiders projected total would be like thirteen. I
don't even know they get there. I would definitely take
the under right.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Yes, yes, it's still unknown if Gino's gonna return or
if they're gonna ride with Kenny Pickett again. They got
a backyard brawl decision to make there.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
I'm shocked at over fourteen, but if you still could.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Be a healthy pat, it could be a healthy Patrick Mahomes,
and I think I'd still this is one of those
I'd like to buy it down or tease it with
something to get it below get it to thirteen and
a half.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Ye, yeah, get it below fourteen. But I'd still lay
the fourteen.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
There's no way I could put money on the Raider,
no chance. There's no way they're not playing with pride.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
And then one this weekend that everybody in Steeler Land
will be keeping an eye on. It'll probably be halftime
of this game before I get off the plane and
get home from Detroit, but I'll be flipping it on
as soon as I get home in Baltimore. Eight twenty
Sunday Night Football Ravens hosting the New England Patriots in
a game that means a lot for both teams. Yeah,

(35:13):
New England, trying to stay involved in the number one
seed discussion, trying to stay ahead of Buffalo for the
division championship. A Baltimore team that desperately is, you know,
trying to stay with the Steelers and keeping the playoff
hunt themselves. Baltimore a three point favorite at home. I'm
surprised by.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
That me too. I would pick the Pats to win
straight up. Same now I hear all week boy, the
Patch came back to earth. They haven't played anybody, but
I'm like, they still won like nine games in a row.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I mean, as you and I have talked, there is
definitely some credence to that. You know, Yeah, playing playing
Cincinnati in Cleveland and Washington is not the same as
playing Detroit hip Buffalo, you know, but with few exceptions
like maybe the Raiders, maybe the Titans, a couple of
those teams. Like it is, as we say all the time,
it's not a HIGHO state against Akron. No, Like, these
are still NFL teams on NFL teams.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Even nine in a row or whatever it was. I mean,
that's pretty darn impressive. Yes, Now their defense has come
back to earth a little lately. They have some O
line injuries, and I do think Lamar is starting to
look a little more and a little more like Lamar,
and it's not the easiest place to play, and the
Ravens need it. I just think the Ravens have fundamental problems.
And I would definitely power rank the Patriots over Baltimore

(36:26):
right now. So if you're give me the points, I'm
definitely taking it.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
This is like I don't know some you know, I
like to use the Nick Saban the rat poison, Like
Nick Saban used to hate it when people would talk
about how good Alabama was. He's like, because then my
players hear that and it's rat poison, and they don't
work as hard a practice, they don't pay as much attention.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
In the film, rug just roll the ball out there.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
And when rat poison, this line feels like rat poison, Like,
come on, you're gonna give me this Patriots team against
this Ravens team, and you're giving me a field goal.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Which means the Ravens will win by twenty and Henry
I have two hundred yards.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
And I pointed this out to you, But even people
who haven't been to a game in Baltimore this year,
I'm sure you can tell by just watching on TV.
It's not the same atmosphere there that they typically have, right,
you know, like they came into the season, they.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Can turn on their team too.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
They came in the.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Season expecting to win twelve thirteen, fourteen games and be
a Super Bowl contender, and like you think at times
in Pittsburgh we were upset with the way things were
going this year. Oh yeah, they I think have had
even higher expectations than Steeler Nation these last couple of
years and having.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
They were on the outside looking in on the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
Exactly right, exactly right. So I'm taking plus three, happy
to to.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
I mean, maybe I'm a sucker and diving in, but
I am definitely taking it.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
I would, I think, treats to win.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
If we were just doing a pick them who wins,
forget the points, I would take New England.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
I would.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
If you're giving me a field.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Goal, I will happily take that field goal. There's our
thoughts on the week sixteen slate across the National Football League.
Real quick, Matt, I did mention to you how tonight
is the first of the college football playoff games Alabama
at Oklahoma. Three more of those on Saturday at noon Texas.

(38:01):
A and M hosts Miami. Great one to watch there,
watch the quarterbacks, a lot of guys that are going
to be drafted in the first round, and on Day two.
In that game at noon on Saturday, A and M
is a three and a half point favorite. And that'll
be a weird one because that's like an eleven am
local start in College Station, which is one of the

(38:22):
best atmospheres and home field advantages in all of sports.
Could that be a little off at eleven am where
that place still be rocking. I have a feeling it'll
still be rocking that Saturday. That's Saturday at noon. That's
your you know, watch it with no other NFL obligations.
Two top ten teams, great game, a lot of pro
prospects in that one, including both quarterbacks. And then at

(38:44):
three point thirty tomorrow Old Miss host Tulane. That one
could be over by the time the Commanders and the
Eagles kickoff. Old Miss seventeen and a half point favorites. Now,
they did lose their head coach and there's a lot
going on with that program, but Tulane also lost their
head coach and some of their coaching staff, So he
go Florida.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
Oh wow, Max Stalks, Okay.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Go Gatis and then Saturday Night seven point thirty. Maybe
you can watch a little bit of it between the
two NFL games. Oregon hosts James Madison twenty one point favorites.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Oregon could roll Lane or James Madison to put up
a lot of fight.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
I would wouldn't if Tulane kept it close for a while.
It wouldn't surprise me, so I think. And again, they
lost their coachings their coach too, but so did Old Miss.
There's a lot of volatility in that one. Whereas Hey,
any any given Sunday, anything can happen. It's why you
play the game any given Saturday. I would be surprised
if James Madison kept it close with Oregon, but it

(39:40):
wouldn't shock me if Tulane hung around longer than people expect.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Okay, that's your best game of Saturday is the early one.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
The best game Saturday is the early one.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
And it's funny a lot of college football people were
complaining about that, like.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
That should be a night game.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Kyle Field, You've talked about how amazing that atmosphere is.
You've been there, But that's why, because that's the best one.
It's why they put Alabama and Oklahoma on Friday night too,
college football smart. They don't want to compete with the
NFL Saturday.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
Yeah, they're gonna lose.

Speaker 4 (40:03):
So we're gonna put our two best games Friday night
and Saturday afternoon before the.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Good as that game is. I mean, well me, but
everyone's watching Bears Packer.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
Unless you're a college football junkie, you're gonna watch the NFL.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
That's just the way. That's just the way this country is. Brother.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
So that's your jam packed weekend slate of important football games,
but of course the biggest one in our eyes, Steelers
Lions Sunday four twenty five in Detroit. We will give
our final thoughts and our predictions on that. On the
other side before we get up out of here. West Yeuler,
Matt Williamson, it's the Drive on Steelers Nation Radio on
the Steelers Audio Network, your tunes.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
About Drive on your twenty four to seven home of
the Black and Goal Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
Down the home stretch, we go, just one game to
talk about here before we get up out of here.
And of course it is the most important action of
a jam packed football weekend four to twenty five at
Ford Field in Detroit, Steelers and Lions. Matt, before we
give our predictions and final thoughts, what's the latest you
got for me on the injury front.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Yeah, don't take this as gospel, folks, but this is
kind of what the little birdies are talking about down
there at the moment. But no word really on Bent
in one way or another.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
Okay, he feels like a true yes, something popping up
late in the week, like a true game time decision.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Herbig would be questionable leaning towards Yes, that's very good.
But I mean again, I'm trying. I'm not trying to
get everyone excited.

Speaker 4 (41:43):
But we know he was a participant in practice today. Yes,
as was Fraser.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
I'd say Fraser I think is on the positive side.
See youmal who is not? Okay, So there you have it.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
Well, there will at least be some movement on the
offensive line, but hopefully maybe some more encouraging news elsewhere.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
Matt.

Speaker 4 (42:02):
It is the Steelers and the Lions where Detroit is
a seven point favorite. Yes, so big numb is that
the big? Is that the biggest dog the Steelers have
been this season?

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Gotta be.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
I felt like two weeks ago in Baltimore. Weren't the
Steelers like five and a half six point dogs?

Speaker 2 (42:18):
It was under seven now, but.

Speaker 4 (42:19):
It was under seven. I think this is the biggest
that we've seen so far this year.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
It was in Green Bay or Buffalo.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
Correct.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Correct, Both of those were at home as well, right,
which helps you out a little bit, Matt. It is
the only spread in the league this weekend that is
above fifty points. Fifty two and a half is the
spread in this one, Detroit favored by seven.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
How do you think it pay?

Speaker 2 (42:43):
All yours?

Speaker 4 (42:44):
I feel like the Lions win a high scoring game,
but the Steelers cover. Okay, so I'm gonna go hmmm,
I'm gonna go twenty seven. That's not high enough. I'm

(43:11):
gonna go thirty three to twenty seven Detroit.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Okay. I have the Lions winning thirty to twenty.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
Ooh, so lower scoring.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
I mean it's fifty points. Yeah. I have my doubts
still that the Steelers can really play that style of
game and get to those kind of numbers and just
air it out. I mean, I like Metcalf and I
like the Steelers pass catchers, but they're not Saint Brown
and Gibbs and Williams and you know good. So I
think that's really the way that this game is going

(43:42):
to be played. And I don't love the Steeler injury
stuff at the moment either.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
That's a big concern to me.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
It's not great. And boy, this the Lions need is
so bad and they're gonna be so aggressive, and it's
gonna be a loud stadium. As Missy mentioned, I don't
think it's a great time to play these guys.

Speaker 4 (43:59):
I completely agree with you on that. I will say
this though, for a little optimism. This will be just
the third time this season that you and I have
both picked against the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
Bet we were wrong each time.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
That we were wrong each time.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Yeah, the first time.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
The first time.

Speaker 4 (44:15):
Was was the Colts game. We both picked the Colts,
and then I think it was Baltimore. I want to
say two weeks ago we both picked we both picked
the Raves.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
So hopefully we'll make it a hack, make it a
hat trick three for three, yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
Then we'll pick the Ravens in Week eighteen.

Speaker 3 (44:30):
Maybe we should just do that. Maybe we should just
do that every week down the stretch. Here.

Speaker 4 (44:33):
We have to find a way to talk ourselves into
the Browns beating the Steelers next week.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
And then round one take the bills or whoever.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
You know, it's been a fun week. It'll be our
kind of you know.

Speaker 4 (44:44):
Next week will be a weird one with the holiday
and Christmas and everything. I'm sure a lot of you
are traveling around today and this week and getting ready
to have your corporate week off next week.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
So be safe out there if you are.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Yeah, there's lots no out and cold and you know.

Speaker 4 (44:57):
Right, I think I told you this joke Thanksgiving, but
mostes used to make this joke around the holidays. He'd
be like, you're gonna be getting together with a dozen

in their lap every single day. Yep.

Speaker 2 (45:23):

know they have a podcast app.
