Speaker 1 (00:03):
You were tuned about Drive on your twenty four to
seven home of the Black and Gold Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Good evening, Steeler Nation, should how we do it? Well,
that's good us too.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Our number two final hour of the week here on
the Drive as we get ready for Stillars Bears at
Soldier Field in Chicago, a place the Steelers have won
just once since the nineteen thirties. Yes, it's not like
they play there all the time, only about once every
eight years, but still a historic matchup. A lot of

(01:19):
fun storylines in this one, Yeah, there are, And I
think just in general, it's it's always exciting to see
these teams that you only get to play every few years,
particularly when it's you know, one that is on the
rise and moving in the right direction like Chicago is
right now.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
I think you're excited to go, Yeah, see the place
and see the city and absolutely game lineup or something
to Yeah, may or may.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Not be going to the Chicago Bulls game tomorrow night,
maybe with a group of people that includes one of
the guests that we just had on the show in
the in the in the previous in fact, our Queen of.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
The sideline might have been the one who procured.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
The tickets for everybody as well. So yeah, I'm looking
forward to that. And my dad's from Chicago.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
I've been like two NBA games my life.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I love going.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
It is, you know the way you hear people talk
about like I don't know Didley squad about hockey, but
I go to a game and it's a blast, right
like that NBA For me, I don't really a whoa.
I mean, like, I know the Oklahoma City Thunder won
the NBA championship last year, Like I'm not completely ignorant
to the league, but I barely.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I watch a little bit in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
But every year. I always have to ask my friends
every year, like who's good again? Good? What teams this
guy on?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Like yeah, but I every time I've gone to an
NBA game, I enjoy myself. Like my dad and I
used to go watch the Bulls play in Cleveland every
once in a while when I was growing up.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I lived in Philadelphia for three years.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
My wife.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
My wife's a pretty big basketball and Sixers fans, so
we would go to two or three Sixers games a
year those those years.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Matt, the way those dudes get up and down the
court and jump.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
It's unbelievable, itevable it is. It's even going to a
college game a big time, it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Wow, you got to get to a Kentucky game at
some point.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Athletic ability, oh.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
My goodness is it's impressive.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
So yeah, little little Chicago Bears, and I think they
got Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls part of me against the
Phoenix Suns. I believe it is tomorrow night at the
house that Michael Jordan built. Yeah, it's all happening this
weekend in the Windy City.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Matt, I want to quite the same. I throw one
thing out there that's pretty cool is that that year
that I was director of football offs with Akron, the
Saint Vincent Saint Mary team is right there. Yeah, where
Lebron where Lebron the year he was coming out the
high school program and a lot of Lebron's friends went
to Akron went that. Yeah, they didn't go straight to
the NBA and be the first overall pick, but they

(03:39):
were really good players. So Lebron came to like every
ZIP game as like a seventeen eighteen year old. Yeah,
you know, like we offered him a scholarship.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I could use this guy tight end right now.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
We offered when I was a pit the year before,
we offered him scholarship to play wide out. I'll mean
probably threw that in the trash, but I mean he
was there all the time. It'd be like that guy's
going to be the first pick in the draft.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
See, I could definitely see it.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Be a nice car.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I'm sure. Wasn't he driving a Hummer when he was
like sixteen?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Yep?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
I remember that being a big story.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
One day, Sports Illustrated actually did an article about Lebron
is a high school player and the head coach at Akron,
J D. Brookhard, was our wide receiver coach at Pitt.
So both of us were quoted because we both watched
them at Saint Vincent Saint Mary. That's pretty cool just
going up. He didn't want to. I mean, like he
didn't go over the middle, like he kind of knew

(04:28):
where his bread was. He wasn't getting hurt, you know,
like they threw him jump balls and he'd go, you know,
just go moss.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Some poor five foot kid.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Who's repeatedly he's going to be in business school in
college in.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
A couple months, and he didn't have like the shoulders.
Then I mean like he was a lot I mean hill,
but he could go forget it.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
He looked like he didn't belong And I mean that
in a good way and huge way.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Right. I wonder if he did this full time, but
like he wasn't going over the middle and like blocking
linebacker blows in the playing.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It's hilarious, Matt.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
I want to pick your brain a little bit here
about some of the biggest matchups to keep an eye on.
Of course, Sunday one o'clock at Soldier Field between the
Bears and the Steelers. Just a little exercise that we
do here every Friday, simply named five Star Friday.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
We're humbled and excited to be in these five star matchups.
Five star matchup.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Somebody leaving here with the loves not gonna.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Be a all right, Matt.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Steelers defense, Bears offense.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
We know the names, But where does it start, specifically
for the Steelers on that side of the ball. Does
it begin with limiting DeAndre Swift in the run game?
Does it begin with silencing a Donsa and some of
these talented pass catchers. What are some matchups that you're
really circling, really looking for as it relates to Steelers
defense against the Bears offense.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
The short of it, and this is on both sides
of the ball, and we already kind of talked about
it is who runs the ball better and turnovers, so
let's just get them out of way. Yeah, but these
teams are so good at creating turnovers, so turnover dependent.
I I think that is massive in this game. I

(06:11):
love it Missy throughout the special teams and Nugget too.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah, yeah, that their special teams coach learned from Danny
because I think some of that hidden yard is stuff
is really important here too. But their run game is
a real handful to deal with. And boy, Merrill Hodge
was really high on my nun guy. I mean just
that he is a nasty.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Great kind of like the hammer that we've talked about
that you won in your running back round.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Yeah, and they're getting more out of Swift than anybody
else has. But one I wanted to concentrate on is
so their left tackle is a backup and he's been okay,
but right is really really good at right tackle. I
wonder kind of like the Colts are they gonna say, Darnell,

(06:56):
you're playing so well at right tackle. We're gonna go
help lefty here and leave you with what, which is
kind of what Colts did. And it's a gutsy move
by any team, even if it's Lane Johnson or you know,
Pennysool or we saw Lane Johnson versus what last year
and you know that was a great battle. But what

(07:17):
if right can handle him reasonably well, you know, like
or if that's just a draw, like okay, I lose
once or twice, and I'm sure they'll help him some.
And they they play a lot of bigger people. There'll
be a lot of tight ends on the field. But
I'm just curious how they how they help and deploy
their offensive tackles because the right side tackle is way
better on the left side. The interior is really good.

(07:37):
Right tackle's great, left tackle's bad. You know, at least
haven't brought that up yet this week.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Oh that's I'm glad you did.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah, because we that's that's the position that you want
this Steelers front to put opposition in. Yeah, yeah, that
you have to decide where you're gonna kind of pick
your poison in that regard.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
And even if Heigsmith doesn't play, but still her big
is a problem.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
It would make sense if you're thinking, okay, like, yeah,
TJ is the guy who has the the pension for
wrecking games, has that that impact that has become his
calling card over the years.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
But were ready for that?

Speaker 3 (08:15):
But we and maybe it's maybe you kind of want
them to, you know, like we've got some Hey, we've
got the Packers coming up twice, We've got the Eagles
coming up, We've got the Lions coming up. We got
some really good defensive front. It's some really good pass
rushers coming up. Teams, big time test here for Darnell. Right,
let's see how he responds and if that's something that
we can kind of bank on the rest of the
stretch here.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Or maybe you start doing it and if he struggles,
then you help and then all of a sudden, her
big starts to explode. Yeah, you know, I'm just curious,
especially in like long down in distance, how they handle that.
I would think in the run game, you're gonna you're
gonna help on what more soon, You're gonna help on
herbig for sure, Yes, for sure, Yes, even Heismith. But
still I'm more in the protection situation here.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
That makes a lot of sense. I'm glad you brought
that to the forefront. Uh, talk to me about the
talented eligibles Rome, Yeah, Luther burd and the two tight
ends Comet and Loveland and Loveland.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Dj Moore, who's having a great season.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Is how's the game plan look compared to what we
saw last week again and what they did? More zone,
more flooding those short intermediate areas like they did against
the Bengals. Is that maybe the kind of the game
plan the blueprint once again, or you.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Lean that way? I think I think too high safeties
is kind of here to stay, and especially because these
guys throw the ball down the field, it's.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Not at all they want to take shots.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Yeah, they play the opposite of how Flacco rip them
up the first time around. They played the opposite of
how the Steelers play on offense. So I think you
did you want to take away the deep balls and
that kind of stuff and probably play more zone because
as we mentioned, Caleb's a much more dangerous obviously than Flacco.
I mean, you have to worry about him. He's a

(10:04):
dangerous runner. So I don't think you want to turn
your back to him a ton, And if so, you
might have some kind of spy situation or lurk defender
in that area. But I don't have a great plan
other than that. But I can tell you how they
use their guys because Douneesay is the one. Yes, But
like if you look at his numbers, he's had some

(10:24):
really big weeks. He's had some really low weeks. I
mean he had I think the game they put the
most points the Cincinnati gave, he had zero catches. Like
how that happened? You know what I mean? They score
a million points and the guys got zero catches.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Right, it's a testament to everyone else there.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Yeah, they got a lot of other stuff. Yeah, but
his efficiency isn't great because they use them down deep downfield.
Like they asked him to do hard stuff, you know,
line up on the X and beat the top corner
and beat downfield, and I think he's going.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
To be they're not giving him a lot of those
freebat seven yards that the defense has given you here,
not a ton.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Dj Moore is a weird one because when they drafted Burden,
I thought that was a slap in the face. The
more because they're both similar, good run after the catch,
thicker body types, and really they've relegated more to just
running a lot of wind sprints. I mean, like he's
just like taking the top off, making room for others.
Clear out guy. I don't know if he'll be a

(11:23):
Bear next year. Maybe he'll be a Steeler. I don't.
I mean, but he's talented, but he's Last year, his
effort was very poor and a really bad situation in Chicago.
And when Johnson got hired, he said something along the
lines of everyone here is going to run their routes
out and block, like it was almost like a shot

(11:44):
at the bow to more. And then they take Burden
in the second round, who's probably his successor a year from.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
That similar skill set a little bit with those two.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
And now Burden, though his knocks the kiis out as
the three, and I could see him having a really
big second half of the season. Like I think he's
finally comfortable. I think down. Yeah. You see a lot
of rookies, if they haven't been overworked early, this is
when it starts to pick up.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Like he's almost like they're into their second season.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
They you know, like they always their whole life, they've
played ten to twelve games, and now they're hitting that
point their first year, and he.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Was my favorite fantasy pick up this week. Okay, because
he's not in a lot of leagues, but he just
took over as a kiss is now like totally on
the bench, and I'm like he may even surpass more
as a number two here, you know. Like so he's
a dangerous player. And the tight ends are both just
really good players. I mean Comets the all around, not

(12:40):
super dynamic, but high quality pass catcher, but quality blocker.
He'll last in the league eight to ten years. He's
making good money. He's a quality starter for most teams,
but not super dynamic. Lovelands has a chance to be special. Yeah,
I mean he's he was picked ahead of Ward.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
I was just gonna say, think good Tyler Warren's been
this year. He was drafted ahead of him just a
few picks.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
But just a few picks. But I mean, he's a
first round pick all day long, super fluid. I think
the reason the Bears chose him instead of Warren because
they had the choice, was if you watch Michigan tape,
he's just beating coverage. Everyone's focusing on him, and he's
winning what.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
He was Michigan's offense last year.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Yes, where Warren was at least as productive, but they
were just doing anything possible to get him the ball,
scheming it up to him, pitching it to him, just
like Colts are. So both people I think are both
teams are happy with their choices. But Loveland's a route
runner Kelsey, I mean like that type of dude, and
he looks like he's turning a corner to couple. It's

(13:42):
a really good group of receivers.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Oh, They've They've got guys in the backfield at tight
end and a wide receiver who can make plays and
who can hurt you.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
It's a deep and second round. Yeah, it takes both
could be a hit.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
A plethora of weapons for for Caleb Williams and that offense.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
And they know how to use them, spinning the matt And.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
We've talked about this a little bit. The linebackers out
for Chicago, the injuries to the defensive backs is it
is this is this is the week to run the
football and hit those intermediate routes.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
With what Chicago's got on defense.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I'd like to see more play action. Yeah, Steelers used
to be started the season high on the play action scale,
and it's really.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Really on Pittsburgh plunge right.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Especially with new linebackers. I always think of linebackers and
play action, like if I can get you to take
a step and a half forward biting on a good
play action fake.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Or hesitate, yeah, half second before you retrieve.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
And Friarmouth is you know, two yards behind you or whatever? Yeah,
hit here in the that spot. I think that's a
perfect spot to manipulate new linebackers. Steelers have also gotten
away from motion and some of that stuff too, not
as as much, but I would try to put more
eye candy out there, especially for Rogers as your quarterback,

(14:54):
because you know he'll be fine with it. But so Rudolph.
They're a little hard to comment on because I don't
know if Johnson Gordon are playing, you.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Know, which is a big I would.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Think john question markalf a lot. He hasn't been out
there much, so I don't know if he travels or not,
but he has a history of doing it, and against
this team, I would definitely travel him. That's why you're
paying him.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
I understand the quarterback situation is a big monkey wrench
in all of this.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, but I really hope that this is a noticeably
more productive week for the Steelers offense. I know we
I said that same.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
If you go back and listen to the show from
seven days ago last Friday, he probably said something along
the same lines. This Bengals defense can be had. You've
struggled on offense a little bit these last couple of weeks.
Let's go see it.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
And it was good against the Bengals. But that's the
worst defense in the league. Yeah, I mean like it.
It could and should have been better.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
And your offense also scored twenty points. Like, let's not
forget fourteen of those of those thirty four were from
the defense.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Where most teams were dropping thirty on the Bengals. Yes,
it's pretty regularly.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
I want to see the offense put up twenty four,
twenty seven to twenty eight plus points.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
I think we talked about Missy too. I'd love to
see one hundred and forty yards on the ground. Yes,
offensive lineman getting up first down, starting to control things,
thirty four minutes of time of possession, that type of thing,
which is eight minutes more than the Bears.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Yeah, but if we break it down into penny corners, Yeah,
you're good, Matt.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Williams and you Yeah, I think that's a good kind
of scene setter in that regard. Easier said and done,
easier said than done. But it feels like a real
opportunity to take care of the football, to establish what
you do well, and to get back to some of
those things that we haven't seen for the last few weeks.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
And it's not nearly as stark because their defense isn't
as bad as the Bengals, but clearly they're way better
on one side of the ball than the other. Yes,
way better, yes, And that's for all the resources have
gone late.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
And man that the absence of those three linebackers is
a real monkey wrench or real potential fly in the
ointment for everything that they're trying to do from a
communication standpoint.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Here's a real quick, nerdy nugget too. Their center Drew.
They gave good money to come over from the Falcons,
and he's a smaller, very active zone center and does
a great job getting to the second level. So keep
an eye on him on like Queen and Wilson and
those guys too, because he really does a good job
of getting up and you know, leading away downfield.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
That's what you uh, that's what you need from your
new age centers.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Now, yeah, this Mark Stanford, dude, that's a little small
but quick and you know.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Yeah, kind of sounds a little bit like Zach Frasier.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
A little bits were rugged.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yeah, but yeah, well yeah, he's got that West Virginia
Cuff's Palo alt there out there in Stanford. When we
come back on the other side, let's go around the
NFL huge Week twelve with a lot of playoff implications
across the AFC, the AFC North, in the entire league.
We'll discuss that a little bit when we return, but
that'll do it for five Star Friday.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
It's a five star matchup because we're in the.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Places going around the NFL when we return West Scheeler
Matt Williamson on the Drive on Steelers Nation Radio on
the Steelers Audio Network.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Your tune is about Drive on your twenty four to
seven home of the Black and Goal Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Time to go around the NFL.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Here, as myself and coach Tomalind would say, the road
is narrowing. We've got Thanksgiving next week and approaching the
end of November and in kind of full up playoff
swing here, divisional races, wild card jockeying, all that good stuff.

(19:05):
A big week around the NFL kind of started last
night in a huge win for Houston that.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
We referenced we Houston a little bit.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
They stay alive, uh if you felt, you know, some
some happiness radiating from the northeast quarter of New England.
Patriots get a little boost in their candidacy to win
the division.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
That was a weird one for Buffalo last night.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Houston has two really tough games coming up and a
couple more on the slate they do, but that's a
season saving type of win. Now you get a long week.
I presume Stroud will be back those ten days, yeah,
because Mills is just a caretaker, say at least, but
that's probably the best defense in the league, an incredible
pass rush, and Houston ain't dead yet, you know, I mean, Matt.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
That was a big one for them to win at
home because they go to Indianapolis next week and then
two arrowhead to face Kansas City in the next in
their next.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Two games, so they have the Colts twice.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
They still have the Colts twice. They still have to
go to La to take on the Chargers. They host
Arizona in Las Vegas.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
And there's two or three.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
You think those should be wins.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
But to Indy and hosting Indy to Kansas City to
LA to face the Chargers. I mean, that's some still
challenge for them. At six and five. I mean, they
probably need to win four of their last six, I
would imagine.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
And they're on a hot street. Did they start? Did
they start? Oh and two?

Speaker 2 (20:33):
They started to own three and three?

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Okay, yeah, so what They've won six of their one,
six of their last eight eight. I mean they're back.
I don't know if the math will work out for if.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Their offense can just pick it up a little bit.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
So good, yeah, yeah, it's so good. But their receivers
are starting to play batter Higgins and those guys, Kirk
and those guys last nugget. I'm not saying this is
gonna happen, but I still think they're four elite Tier
one quarterback. They're all in the AFC. I think we
know who they are. Might all of them missed the playoffs?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Cool Borrow definitely done. I think the Bills are at
least going to make a wild card.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
I mean I think probably two of them go, but
but two could definitely.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
One's certainly going to miss and it wouldn't surprise me
if another one did.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
I mean, all three could go, but I mean there's
a chance all four missed. You know what I mean,
Like by you, I mean just there's Baltimore's trending the
right way.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
But the other team weird year in the AFC.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
Yeah, those teams don't have that many wins.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Weird year in the AFC. Just win the division Steelers
and host a playoff game and let's go from there.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
M M. Mahomes come to town, New.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
England is in Cincinnati, matt As seven point favorites, looking
to continue what are they on like an eight game
winning streak. I think it is the Patriots eight or
nine game winning streak in Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Seven point favorites.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
I think I'll take the points, or I'll think I'll
take the Patriots lay the points.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I think this might be the week that it finally
all comes undone for Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
Is there any Borough news that you heard of. I
haven't seen any.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
It looks like there's a they're saying there's a chance
he could play, but it's more likely still a week away.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
They play Thanksgiving Day.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
I think they play Thanksgiving Day, Yes, so it's a
short week then, and no Chase obviously who suspended defense
is still banged up and bad.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
I just that's the thing is, I don't know that
there's a lot of I give.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Them a little credit for kind of holding the line
for a while, but it feels.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
Like this could be not gonna be held much longer.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Seven is a lot chunky. Yeah, a road team, but
I think I'll lay the points with the Patriots as well.
That's one that I'd try and tease down to five
and a half something like that.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
But there's some spreads, there's some potential blow.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
I was gonna say this, Like last week there was
not many bait. I think there was only one, maybe
two games that were more than a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
This week there's a lot Like if you're a casual fan,
I think there's like three or four games to concentrate on,
and others are.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Yes, like New York at Detroit where the Lion twelve
and a half point favorites at home. Matt, what do
Dan Campbell's Detroit Lions do against bad teams.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
Especially after getting embarrassed and beat up at home?

Speaker 3 (23:09):
I think I'd lay fourteen and a half yere with Detroit.
I certainly will twelve and a half.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
And what most say sticks with me. You know, you
should always take the double digits, and I think there's
a lot to be said for that. And he knows
the stuff and he played in the league. But sometimes
the Lions are a vengeful group.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
They're the one team that you would trust most, right
with a spread this large?

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Yes, okay, like they crushed some teams.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Green Bay at home at Lambeau against Minnesota, one of
the classic rivalries in the NFL. There one o'clock game
on Sunday, Green Bay. They're kind of needing to keep
pace as well. Yeah, six point favorites at home against
the Vikings.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Can the Vikings. It's the right number, big one for
Minnesota to stay alive too.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
In the big picture of things, I mean, the craft
injury and they lost a really good center has made
the Packers very uneven. But McCarthy's playing really poorly right
now for bikes.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yes, they've just got nothing at quarterback.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Yeah, I don't feel strong about it. I would not
put money onto either way, but I guess i'd take
the home team.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
I'll lay the points at the Green Bay. It's another
one I wish was four and a half instead of six.
But I still think the Packers they at some point
they've got to start really putting it together, I would think.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
I think they're a well coached team with a lot
of talent.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
One of the biggest spreads of the weekend. Matt in
fact tied for the biggest spread of the weekend in
Music City. The Titans host the Seattle Seahawks, where Seattle
is a thirteen and a half point favorite despite being
on the road.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
I'll take the points, I think in this one.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
I'll take you.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
That's a lot Zabel's hurt, and the interior, their ow
line isn't great, and Sweat and Simmons are actually like
the only good thing that the Titans do. And I
get to see Seattle winning, and then I think am
Ward throws a lay touchdown and you know they're not
going to give off.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Seattle's also in a big stretch of like a lot
of important NFC games here. Yeah, yeah, if they're not
at the if they're at a beep lost level on
Sunday and they still win by ten, fine, business trip,
business trip to Tennessee. We're not going to light the
world on fire, but We'll go out there and take
care of business.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
But you're right, maybe a late touchdown for the Titans
or just a lot of points, a lot of points.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
I am going to take the plus thirteen and a
half with Tennessee on that one Arrowhead stadium and one
of the perhaps the game game. This is one of
those ones if you're a there's a couple games this
weekend that you know, if you're a neutral, I think
you're really into Pittsburgh Chicago. I think you're really into

(25:35):
Tampa Bay and La the Rams versus the Bucks. This
is another one.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
This is probably the headline of the weekend.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Big for Indianapolis, not necessarily in their playoff case, but
their first round by number one overall.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
And they're just overall legitimacy, yes, you know.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
And for Kansas City, you're five and five, man five
and six.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Right, another AFC loss, Chiefs three.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
And a half point favorites at home against the Colts.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
So what would this line be an Indie.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Kansas City minus one? Yeah, Kansas City minus.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Kansas City is better than the Colts. I mean, I
get that there's more to games than just who's better
on paper, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Just like the third time in the last three four
weeks that we've the third time in the last four
weeks we've said, well, we're gonna find out about the
Chiefs this weekend.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
That's what I said on my other podcast I was
picking games. It's like, I'm sick of doing it every week, Like, Oh,
they'll get it figured out. They're the Chiefs and they
could win this game by twenty five, and I would
not be shocked.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
They could win the next seven in a row right
to finish the best five. It wouldn't shot.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
One number two in the power ranks when the playoffs
coming round. That absolutely could happen. But I'll take the points.
I mean, Indie's coming off of bye it's healthy.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Forgot about that.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
I wouldn't touch it.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
But I'm with you.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
And if it's two and a half, I'd feel a
lot better about Kansas City than three and a half.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
I think I'll I think I'm with you. I think
I'll take the points.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Listen, I've been the one that's been kind of crushing
the Chiefs the last week or two, so I gotta
stick with my stick by my guns here.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Being the option, I'm like, oh, they're about to turn around,
but then they don't give me.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Indy plus three and a half tied for the biggest
spread of the weekend with that Titan Seattle game that
we just mentioned. Is the Jets traveling to Baltimore or
the Ravens are thirteen and a half point favorites. I
think I'm taking the points Ravens win, But I don't know, man.
The Jets are another organization that's shown some life.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
They weren't horrible after trading everybody away.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
They're also coming off of they played last Thursday, right,
so they've got a little bit lost.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
They lost the Patriots, yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Last Thursday, so they've got that ten day preparation time
as well.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
Give any the birdies, but I don't feel great about it.
That's a lot of points, man, It's a lot. I
don't get challenge in the game. But that's not the question.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
It could be another one of those. Baltimore's up thirteen
seventeen the entire way, and the Jets score late touchdown
and we're getting Tyrod Taylor, are getting Tyrod Taylor.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
That might be better for our Yeah, I think I'm
taking I think I.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Just don't believe in Baltimore's ability to blow anybody out.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Really, at this point, they're really that team either. But
I'm gonna take them anyway, reluctantly.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Matt in one of these games that they should have
these teams play at the end of the year to
decide who gets the number one overall pick. In Las
Vegas in the Entertainment Capital, I'd never remember is that
La or is that Vegas? Regardless?

Speaker 2 (28:27):
In Las Vegas, the Brown's face the Raiders in what
is shocker by far, I mean by a good nine
points eight points the lowest over under.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Of the week.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Yeah, Vegas a four point favorite at home against the Browns.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
I don't think they should be a four of favor
or anyone. They're playing terrible right now.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
They are, but I don't know. I think the Browns
should be favored over anymore.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
I'm taking Cleveland though. Yeah, I'm not a Sanders believer,
but he's going to complete more than one out of
four passes. I think the Raiders might be the worst em.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
And they might.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Miles Garrett might set the he might get the twenty
sacks in this game. I mean, their defense is clearly
the best unit.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Well in twenty twenty five, my boy Gino loves to
take sacks.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
He loves to take sacks, loves it. I don't like
whe the Raiders are at.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
All, Like four points is a lot. Yeah, I mean
I should just take them.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
I'm just taking the point, Just take the points. I
think they're equally bad teams and the defense for Cleveland
is the best unit.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
But this might be a cop out. I'd stay away
from the line and I just take the under thirty
six and a half points.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Is this one feels like I.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Don't know enough about betting. But I mean, I know,
I'm not like reinventing the wheel here, but low over
unders take the points?

Speaker 3 (29:41):
You know, Yes, you know, seventeen to ten final score
or something like that in the you know, Yeah, I'm
with you. I will take Cleveland plus four just because
that's a chunkier number for two bad teams. But I
would really go with the with the under thirty six
and a half if I had had of me.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
Thinks the Raiders should be thirty second in Power Rings.
They're miserable again.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Like we said out of their bye week, there was
at least some signs of life, but they've gone right
back to Yeah, it's rough to Monty Python, You'll be
stone cold dead in a moment in Arizona. Jacksonville looking
to continue to stay on the right path against the Cardinals.
They are three point favorites on the road at State
Farm Stadium.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
I about a believer that Jackson will like figured things
out all of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Same, but I think they're a much better team than
the Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Cardinals are really banged, much better coached. But like Harrison,
I mean, they got issues. Are they ready to like
go cover spreads on the other coach?

Speaker 3 (30:39):
I'd like this more if it was two and a
half as opposed to three. But I'm still gonna lay
the I'm still gonna yeah, lay the points with Jackson.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
I'm with you. But it's made my least fair better
than we've mentioned in Matt.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
What's an intriguing one? Not maybe quite to the extent
of Colt's chief Sir Rams Bucks, but Philadelphia in Dallas.
I'm really intrigued by this one huge rivalry. Right did
you see the video? Tyler pointed it out to me.
I was dying it was going viral. At a Philadelphia
elementary school this morning, they dressed up a bunch of

(31:12):
punching bags as Dallas Cowboys players really so like Dak
and CD lamb Quinn and Williams, and they had the
kids like doing a boxing class for gym class.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
But they were beating up on the on Dak Prescott
and CD lamb.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Arry Philadelphia, Larry Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
The most Philly thing I've seen in a long time
since my in laws were last in town in Dallas
at Jerry World. Desperate one for the Cowboys, big for
Philly still in the sense of they want to get
that number one seed in the NFC, Philly three and
a half point favorites in Big d.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
So I just said awful things about the Raiders and
the Dallas, and Dallas whipped up on them pretty good.
So I want to take that with a grain of
salt considering who Dallas just played. But I don't think
Dallas by any stretch is a Bengal level defense anymore.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
I mean, quinnin look like a Grizzly Bear out there.
I mean, like block that guy. And they got a
lot of dudes back lane. Johnson is out, that's important.
Their offense is everyone A lot of all that bickering
that's always happening in Philadelphia is going on now. They
don't throw the ball well, and I think the Eagles

(32:21):
d is as good as anyone's, but Houston's. Maybe Mitchell
is gonna be on pickings. It sounds like a lot
or lamb whatever. I expect a low scoring, tough, close games.
I'm taking points.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
This is a tough one because there is part of
me that I feel like Philly is the Birds are
taken off to use a bad pun there, and what
happened for Dallas last week was a little bit of
fool's gold because the Raiders are so bad, like we
talked about. I know that game was in Vegas, but
it was eighty percent Cowboys fans. It was like a
suit and they jumped on them early and then it

(32:55):
was just snow effect downhill. I could see Philadelphia coming
out and putting the clamps on the Cowboys and grabbing
them by the collar, and hey, I know you've got
this great offense, but we're still the big dog. But
three and a half for a road game, for a
rivalry like this, this is another one I wouldn't want
to touch. I don't know, though, I think I'm leaning

(33:16):
towards laying the points for the with the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
I think it's like twenty eighteen. Yeah, I think it's tight,
neck and neck down the whole stretch. Offense hard to
come by.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
I certainly think that that could be a case. I'm
just I'm gonna lead towards the Eagles a little bit
of fool's gold. With Dallas playing better last week, I'll
lay the three and a half with Philly A couple.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
More here, Matt in New Orleans, Atlanta against the Saints.
This one, I think you could probably find a ticket
to get in for. Yeah, you know, you could bring
a soup can for the soup drive and they'll let
you in the stadium there at the super Dome, New
Orleans A two and a half point favorite at home.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
So I could be so wrong on this. I think
the Saints win. People up in Pittsburgh area don't realize
that these two teams really hate each other. It just hasn't.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
This is a good rivaly. This is an underrated NFL rivalry.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
It just doesn't mean much. It's not like Ravens Steelers.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
A lot of those NFC South rivalries are really under rated.
They're better than you think, but it's because the team
they're They're always like seven and nine right.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Bought a five beat AF five and eleven team, and
I think that's what this is. But it's in New
Orleans coming off of bye no penn X. I don't
think London's playing. I think that Atlanta is in a
really bad spot. And I think Kellen Moore is a
good coach. I'm gonna take the Saings to win.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
I think so too. I think the Falcons, after showing
a little bit of life, are cooked now.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
I think they're in a bad spot.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
I think they're in a bad spots.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Cousins look terrible and hey, he could go out and
play well, wouldn't shot.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Sure, they're the more talented team. I think we know
that Bijon might run for two hundred.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
I think Atlanta is another one of those can coon
on three type teams right now, where they're thinking about
January and there and their plans for the post season,
not their NFL postseason, but what they're going to do
post the season ending.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
Yeah, right, I think the Rams just sit there going
keep losing games and you're excellent.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yeah that's the other thing too, Like they're not. Man,
it's a rough spot for Atlanta right now. I'll lay
the two and a half with the Saints to win
a close one, you know, a ton of points by
three or four points.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
Shock hasn't been bad. He is not.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
That's your man, that's your boy.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
And I think he's got a good opportunity. Falcons defense
is better than what is better, but still some opportunity
for the Saints to make some place. And then finally
Sunday Night Football a good one. I'm hoping. I think
we'll be landed back in time for me to at
least catch most of the I might you know, might
miss the first series or two in the first quarter.

(35:53):
But Sunday Night Football, the Rams against the Bucks, I
think a Super Bowl FA contender, yeah league right now
against against a really good team in the Bucks as well.
Rams are a seven point favorite at home.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
It's a been too many points for me.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
It is a cross coast you know game for the Bucks,
but it's a night game and that helps. I think
it's easier for the East Coast teams going west as
opposed to vice versa.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
I saw it today. There's a chance Godwin plays. They've
been down a weapon.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
I think I might take the points for the Bucks.
I think the Rams will win, but I think I'll
take a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
Yeah, I will too. I think Tampa's well coached. They're
kind of struggling right now, going through a tough time,
but I think they can keep it within seven.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Matt, you want to know something crazy here, So I
always you know, when I pull up this schedule, they
always have like the stub Hub, you know, get your
tickets here.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Oh yeah, tickets tickets as lowest and as you can imagine,
you know, cheapest ones in the league are New Orleans
for the Atlanta game of Tennessee for the Titans game
brown and Raiders, although again the Raiders tickets never get
that cheap, just because it's a destination and people when

(37:09):
you're Cleveland, you see this Browns fans, you see this
come out, you know, back in the summer time and
you're like, oh, let's go to Vegas for the weekend.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
They might leave it halftime and go to the casinos, especially.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
This time of year where it's still seventy degrees in Vegas.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
And yeah, a lot of these you know, Northeast Corridor tillyests,
Midwest teams. Yeah, so uh, pretty expensive ticket in Kansas City,
as you can imagine, pretty expensive ticket in Green Bay.
As you can imagine, Matt by far like three times
as much as the next highest price. Most expensive get
in game is Steelers Bears. Really tickets as low as

(37:45):
that's the cheapest get in price four hundred and eight dollars.
Next highest around the league is lambeau Field, where you
can get in for about one hundred and seventy bucks.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Does that imply to you that there will be a
lot of Steeler fans there?

Speaker 2 (37:58):
That implies to me that there will be a decent
amount of Steelers fans there.

Speaker 4 (38:01):
Yeah. Yeah, and if you're going to go there, you'll
pay more than.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
It's a Bears fan base that is starving for success
and is really jacked I think it's a combination of both.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
They got to be so psyched about the Bears right now.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
It's a it's a Steelers fan base that that Matt particularly,
and I've laid this out with you before. When the
Steelers go to places like this where they only travel
every few years, Steelers fans always show up.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
And then it's a fan base in Chicago that's been
waiting to get this jacked up about their team for
a long time.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
Yeah, they've been winning a lot of games.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
They got a quarterback, right, So I think it's a combination.

Speaker 4 (38:31):
That makes a ton of sense, that's why. And they're
both really good fan base, yes Bears fans.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Yes, absolutely so. Yeah, more than double the price of
the next lowest get in. I tell you what, I
hope you got your tickets already because they got a
lot more expensive over the last few weeks. As this
Bears team has everyone's attention there throughout Chicago and throughout that.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Fan base as well.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
We'll talk about that game specific predictions and scores and
final thoughts before we get out of here. On the
other side, West Shuler, Matt Williamson, it's the on Steelers
Nation Radio on the Steelers Audio Network.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Your twos about drive on your twenty four to seven
home of the Black and Goal, Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
And here we go, final segment of the week, Steelers Bears,
A big one for both of these teams, both of
these organizations, both of these fan bases. Matt, one final
stat for you before we give some predictions and get
out of here. Career wins at Soldier Fields pretty high.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
Kayleb Williams six, Aaron Rodgers twelve.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
Now, I realize it's only Caleb Williams sophomore season, but
it's just always startling when you see I bet you
other than Rex Grossman and Jay Cutler, Aaron Rodgers probably
has more wins there in the twenty first century than
any Bears quarterback, probably other than Grossman and Cutler.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
Yeah, he's probably number three. Is he more than Trubisky?
I probably they one year that they think they went
to the play did You're right?

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Where they won double digit games?

Speaker 4 (40:12):
But but still, what's that six wins at home?

Speaker 2 (40:15):
You know?

Speaker 4 (40:15):
Yeah, it's still hard to get well, I mean impressive, Yeah,
it really is.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
And I think Ben might still have the most uh
for the Browns.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
I think he's second behind Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Mayfield did finally pass. You're right, that sounded there was
a lot.

Speaker 4 (40:29):
I mean, he went many many years as the winningest
quarterback in that building in Nuts.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
Which is absolutely wild.

Speaker 3 (40:35):
And you know what, that's probably we were talking about
the insane ticket prices now in the secondary market for
this game.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
Let's the Aaron Rodgers factor is real in that too.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
That's a good point.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
A lot of people from that part of the country
that are Packers fans that were probably planning on going
down to see their Bolton. Make a weekend out of Chicago,
go see her.

Speaker 4 (40:53):
Bear fans aren't real fond of Rogers.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Bears fans who want to go to this game and
scream and tell Aaron Rodgers how much they hate his guts.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Matt your first two and a half point favorites. This
I think has been the hardest game to pick all year.

Speaker 4 (41:09):
I still don't know who. I've gone back and forth.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
Vikings game was tough to pick because Minnesota was playing
really well at that point. The Steelers were still trying
to find some identity stuff on offense and defense.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
I changed my mind when I got the double one.

Speaker 3 (41:22):
You and I I was playing on picking the Vikings
and then just with this, the atmosphere there and the
crowd and the history and the moment went with the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
I thought the Colts game was a hard one to pick.
I thought the Chargers game was a hard one to pick.
This is difficult.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
I think it's difficult too because turnovers are very unpredictable and.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
It's such a huge party.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
You tell me that one of these defenses, one of
these teams is plus three in the turnover margin, them
all day long, Pick them all day long. If it
ends up though that there's both teams take care of
the football, or maybe there's just one turnover in.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
This game, maybe it doesn't come up.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
Yeah, I think it's lower scoring though.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
The over under is forty five and a half, which
isn't a massive uber, but it's not a low number either.
But I keep coming back to something weird, something wonky,
like nineteen to seven or seventeen. Part of me nineteen
to seventeen for either side. I don't know who I'm

(42:23):
going to pick, but I think I think I might
be leaning towards Chicago a little bit. At least I
was all week until that injury report just came out
and how banged up their defense is No, nineteen seventeen Steelers.

Speaker 4 (42:36):
Okay, screw it, that's what I'm going with. I'm going
twenty four to twenty three Bears.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
I just think Home a lot of momentum, a lot
of respect for their offense. But I think the Steelers
should move the ball and run the ball. And I
love that linebacker news. I mean, that's a position you
don't like to be super weak at. Very few teams
are strong, but just not to be terrible at because
there's really no answer to protect them.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
It's like the spin of your defense.

Speaker 4 (43:02):
Right. Absolutely, So I don't feel good at all about
my pick, but I am taking the Bears to win
twenty four to twenty three.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
I'll take Steelers nineteen seventeen. But I it might be
the least confident I've been in a pick all year.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
It's definitely my least confident. Not that I've been picking
winners left and right, but when we pick them on Fridays,
that field the least.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
There's just it's just tough to pinpoint Chicago at this point.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
Yeah, yeah too, because they've won seven of their last
eight games, which is impossible to ignore.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
But they're a younger, upstart team.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
And when does the water find its level? Not even
the wind to Cinderella turn back into a pumpkin, but
just when does water find its level a little bit?

Speaker 2 (43:41):
With them?

Speaker 4 (43:41):
Can you give me a quick favor?

Speaker 2 (43:42):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (43:43):
And those seven of eight wins, who are they against?
Because it's it's a very weak group, but seven eight
against anyone?

Speaker 3 (43:51):
Dallas, Las Vegas, Washington, New Orleans, Cincinnati, the Giants, and
the Vikings Wolf and they lost to Baltimore, Detroit, and Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
So they split with Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Baltimore and the Tree Detroit game they got blown out, right.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
Correct, I mean they lost by two touchdowns to That's
that's I mean, yeah, the big yeah Arthur Motes anything
more than a touchdown as a blowout. In the NFL,
they got creamed by Detroit second week of the second
week of the season. Lost a close one to Minnesota
to open the year. Remember that that back and forth
was that the first.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
Monday night game.

Speaker 4 (44:26):
I want to say, sounds about right.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
So, yeah, you're right.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
If they haven't playing way better now than they were
the first.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
They haven't the season, absolutely, but they have not beat
a team with the winning record. Steelers would be the
first one. Dallas looks like the Washington.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
Washington win doesn't look good.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
No, at the time, it looked okay because they still
had Jaydon Daniels and and I think the Cowboys win
is I mean, they blew out the Cowboys, so like
that's that's a that's a decent win.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
It's still a really good Cowboy offense. Then the defense
was horrible then, but still.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Like this is one of those moments.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
If this is Bears Nation, radio, Like I always like
to say, I think you feel like you're playing with
house money a little bit, Oh, no doubt, because you
got an easier schedule to start, you took advantage of it.

Speaker 4 (45:08):
You're firm as an organization for the season, you're ahead
of schedule.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
And and you I mean again, you've got other than
the Cleveland game in mid December. You've got the Steelers.
Then you go to Philadelphia, then you go to Green Bay,
you host the Packers, you host the Niners, you go
to Detroit. I mean it's like, if you're a Bears fan,
it's like, this is.

Speaker 4 (45:28):
What we want. Do you know, Oh yeah, we're very relevant.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
I don't want to I don't want to backdoor into
the playoffs playing a bunch of bad teams. Like I
want to see what we got against some real playoff caliber,
super Bowl caliber opponents.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
And here you go, here's the beginning of it.

Speaker 4 (45:43):
I mean, like, if I was a Bears fan right now,
I be like, Okay, now can we show that we
can just stand in the ring, go toe to toe
with the remaining of our schedule. Yeah, go five hundred,
maybe even win one more than we lose. Not get embarrassed.
In against the Eagles and teams like that, like I'm
feeling real good about where I'm at.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
Absolutely like to use the to use the gun the
gunfighter analogy that Mike Tomlin used to use with Ben
Roethlisberger all the time, Like you're gonna get shot, you know, Like,
oh yeah, gunfighters get shot, but they also, you know,
take out some targets along the way. You're gonna get
shot in this final seven Chicago, but forward, but can

(46:21):
you hit a couple of bulls eyes too?

Speaker 4 (46:22):
Sure? And then you you know, and can you get
up after you get shot?

Speaker 2 (46:25):
House money exactly right? If you just get into the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
It feels like a huge success with this young team
and young offense and first year head coach. It's a
big one for a lot of different reasons and gonna
be a lot of fun there.

Speaker 4 (46:37):
Really shot a blowout either way.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Same.

Speaker 4 (46:41):
I bet this comes down to a boz kick.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
Like we we said a last last few weeks.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
We set it before Green Bay, we said it before Indianapolis,
Like if this is a comfortable win either way that
we're talking about on Monday, it wouldn't shock us. It
would shock me, you know, it wouldn't shock me. If
the Steelers lost or beat the Packers by ten, wouldn't
have shocked me at the Steelers lost or beat the
Colts by ten this one, If this is more than
a touchdown final score, I think I'll be shocked.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
Yeh one and last thing I wanted to throw out
just before we leave them scroll my Twitter feed here.
The stuff in the last two minutes is nuts from
this team. And I don't think historic. It's historic. They
have five wins that have come in the last two
minutes of the game already already, which is the most

(47:30):
seven games to play. It's like the most in NFL history,
and it's already it's not even Thanksgiving, you know, so
like so many of their games come down to the
last minute. I can't find it, but whatever, I know
it's right in that neighborhood.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
And hey, we know that that's a strength historically of
the Steelers under Mike Tomlin is playing close one score
games another. But they have crazy games with the Bear,
another game within the game storyline to keep an eye
on once things get going.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
On Sunday, Matt fun Stuff. Enjoyed this week.
