Speaker 1 (00:04):
Iheartradios.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Live coverage of about twenty twenty five Steelers training camp
is presented by Fatex where Now meets Next, and also
brought to you by First National Bank, by Klucy Chevrolet,
iron Workers Union Number three, by Easy Home Exteriors, by
S and T Bank, Remax Select Realty, by Tons Appliances,

(00:27):
the Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Shop, by Always Safe Flagging and
Traffic Control, and by US Steel.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
No, he's still standing.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Andres Pete as a Matt and I are kind of
doing the I in the sky.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
He put an eye on him. Interesting.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
He's been standing with Pat Meyer throughout this team period,
getting coached.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Up exactly, uh singled out.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Singled out as a good way to put it, uh
standing kind of behind the first team watching with Pat
Meyer while the rest of the offensive line was off
to the side, and the second team offensive line just
went in and Pete did not go in. So I
think what you might have speculated early on in the
first hour the show is correct, Matt, that we're gonna
see him out here today and some individual stuff, but
not quite up the speed enough to participate in these.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Teams right Like this is exactly what Aaron Rodgers did
in many camp correctly, you sat there intently with a
position coach or a coordinator. Not I'm not gonna go
out there in team, especially as a quarterback and run
the whole show. I don't I have. I've had the
playbook for a minute in the right, right right. But
this is how we do this. This is how we

(01:37):
call this. This is the adjustment we made. You know
what technique does the defensive lineman the line, but we're
gonna switch it up at the line. So you gotta
know these things. It's a very cerebral position. I still
been he plays Saturday, though.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yeah, I mean I think you could see what happens,
because if he screws it up, he screws it up,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
I think you're absolutely right. You know, you give him
this setting here today, you give him a walk through tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
And hey, I know we're putting a lot on your plate.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
And if you mess up with the assignment, that's totally understanding.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
We're not going to bite your head off if you there.
It's a nice run by Caleb Johnson. Killer brew there.
He's he's been involved early in this in this practice.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Johnson cooked a nice job, and that with the block too.
They went right off his his backside.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
There cooks another guy.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
I think he's he's showing the last couple of practices.
So feeling better about.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
This, this offense and the offensive group, offensive line group,
part of me certainly has for whatever reason. Matt too.
They're all in a great mood today.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Everyone's dancing and maybe it's because maybe it's because they
get to get on a plane tomorrow and somebody else.
But like we were laughing, like Derek Harmon and Zach
Fraser were like mock wrestling each other, and uh McCormick
and Isaiah louder Milk or like kind of dancing and wrestling.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
There's a bunch of offense defense kind of all just.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Get together in good faith, nothing serious, just you know,
just some just some good old toys joking around, just.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Some good old boys horsing around. A little little classic
horse play out there if you will.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Oh he's out there now, Pete, he left tackle.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
There we go at left tackle, so let's see. Interesting,
that's where his first reps are gonna come at left tackle,
right next to dug Nester.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
All right, here we go, as it'll be Skyler Thompson
under center.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
Did a nice job there, did a nice job there.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, hey, Sore, I assume they're looking at him as
a tackle with some flexibility.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Yes, interesting, I.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Mean you can find a tackle in August that's a
home run one hundred. Like you said, he's not as
old as you think. I mean, I don't know thirty one.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, I mean he's you know, he's not in his
twenties anymore. But he's not thirty four or thirty five either.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
My thoughts he could even be back next year, you.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Know, absolutely absolutely in.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
The car before the horse, he's been there five minutes.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Steelers are going shotgun now. Another decent rep there from
Pete Longs.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Yeah, I know I'm trying to I'm just watching him
and not watching the play develop or doing my job
commentating here on the radio.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Sometimes pretty easy disconnected or really know we're close to
each other.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah, yeah, as Pete will stay in there, so good
to see.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Look at that get out there and play right. Absolutely,
absolutely bunch the last time he put pads on and
all that, and I'm sure he's feeling some rus Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Yeah, that's a great point too. Just just get comfortable
being back out there. Again and knock off some rust
and get.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Your making contact.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah, get your sea legs under you a little bit.
As he'll continue to take some reps here against Julius
Wilshoff in this team period.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
They showed some quickness off the ball, sealed the edge
quickness off the ball.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Yeah, a little bit of space for for was that
Trey Sermon or somebody else?

Speaker 4 (04:52):
I think that was okay as Yeah, as we are
we are getting a look, our first real look at
the new big man Andris Pete and that will do
it for team period.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Out there.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
I was took. It's good to see some positive reps
there there.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yep, it was fine.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
It was yeah, it was wash nothing nothing to be
to be worried or scoff at there, certainly, Matt.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
We also have another Adam Schefter breaking news. Yeah, this
tweet in addition to Cam Hayward All Pro kicker Chris Boswell.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Privately, I guess not anymore though, right because that.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Was Chris Boswell has been seeking a new contract from
the Steelers despite being voted first team All Pro. Boswell
was the AFC North's lowest paid kicker last season. He
signed a contract extension three years ago that made him
tied him with Justin Tucker as the NFL's highest paid kicker,
but that market has also been reset in the past
two years.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Again, I don't have a problem with it.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
I mean, he was basically the best kicker in the
league and had one of the best seasons ever in
kicking history. If people don't know, I mean, it was
a fantasticatic season, even on an old time scale. Aximize
your earning power. Yeah, I think it's a bit of
a misnomer that he was the cheapest in the division,
you know, I mean Tucker got cut now and you

(06:13):
know he wouldn't be again this year. Just because the
two Ohio teams are overpaying their kickers doesn't mean that,
you know, he's vastly underpaid.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Right, But that one's easier.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I mean, like if you add a million ap y
do it? Yeah, then he's like right, right, Like, okay,
there's a million a year.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
We won't keep you happy, you know, I think so,
I think maybe add an extra year on it or whatever.
I don't know the extent of his deal. Just make
sure he doesn't go anywhere more guaranteed money possibly, or
just move some money around that one. That one doesn't seem.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
A little a little more, a little more cut and driver.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yeah, yeah, I would think just there's not as much
room for debate and negotiations.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Uh, looks like Roman Wilson is getting some attention off
to the side of the maybe gro groin, hip flexor area.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
So we'll keep an eye on.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
That, certainly. Looking forward to seeing him play Saturday.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
No doubt, no doubt that would be a big bummer.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
And again it could just be, you know, something small
that he's just getting worked on right now. But yeah,
he's one of those guys has had a very good
week this week matter and would really really like to
see him get a full slate of participation on Saturday.
As trying to see now if we can get any
any visual I do believe he was back kind of

(07:31):
behind that that goalpost area in.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
That little okay, I've been looking where you were kind
of yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Carton and medical area down there. So we'll keep an
eye on if we see anything additional from real Yeah,
I let you know if we see him back out there,
if we get any.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Let's see, they're just doing kicking stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
They're just doing kicking stuff right now. But yeah, I'm
trying to see if we could see if we'd see
him moving around at all or anything down there. But uh, hopefully,
hopefully nothing crazy. Hopefully just needed a little little extra stretch,
a little extra something something.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Yeah, A time going on, a time going on at
the moment here. That's why I'm looking.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
The old lineman pulled out the big pad like they
were gonna do the tackling drill again. But I don't
think that's what's going on. I was curious why they
brought out that big matt.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Oh, he's back over there.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Roman Wilson far side field, standing by himself at the
forty yard line right now, Okay, throwing the football with
Kyle Powers, the equipment guy. So he's walking around.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, that's good. Newbe he's just kind of maybe he's
just gitting in the space and see what he can
do here.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Just you know something something felt a little weird and
get an extra stretch.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
And he's not running though.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
He's not running.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
He's kind of walking by himself and just caught one
or two passes from the equipment manager. And is he
is he getting he's doing like something's bugging Yeah, something's
bugging him. He's doing some stretches and just testing himself out.
But he's still out there and in the far side field,
which I guess is a good sign.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Kind of acting like it's a growing the way he's
like lifting his left leg.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
He's doing a little And now he's catching a pass
from Mason Rudolph and not really running but from a
standing position, standing around and he's dressing the ball in
the air, bouncing around a little bit.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
So that's that's good to see. Although, yeah, he's not
doing a ton of he's not. He's not a statue.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
He's not standing still, but not doing a ton of No,
he's not.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
They're doing the tackling drill again, the big fellows.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
They are doing the tackling drill again.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
It's a physical practice out here today. Matt Big, Exact Fraser,
big Zach Fraser, gonna hit the tackling dummy here.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Baby, just what you guys do.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
He's like, I didn't know this is this much fun.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
The water park later, so Roman Wilson still catching passes
from the quarterbacks, but not doing much movement, just standing
still on the sideline.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
And I assume that's why it's him doing it to
see test it a little bit, test, a little bit
run and exert it.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
And I think I think you're absolutely right. I think
you are I think you are correct. But that'll certainly
be something that we that we keep an eye on
as we as we roll along here with plenty of
moving and shaking out of practice special teams.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Period going on.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
As Matt mentioned, the offensive linemen are working on their
their tackling drill.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah. I guess it's better than standing around chatting, but.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Better than doing not.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
It is funny though, a lot of these times when
the when the defensive line gets a breather, the offensive
line is off doing something else.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
They Yeah, I don't see them sit very sitting down
and drinking water and gatorade and stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
You know.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Yeah, and some of the defensive backs as well too.
But uh, the the big men on the offensive side
of the football are working tirelessly. As a little more
movement there from Rock.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
I was find it interesting. You know, it's not like
it's late breaking news. But if you're a no lineman,
you play every snap. You don't ever sit down. If
you're if the offense is out there, you're like, I'm
gonna take this one breather. Yeah, he can do that
all the time, all the time. It's kind of an
odd an oddity of NFL. Yeah, if your center's tired,
you can't come out.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
You can take a player too, but all the time. Yeah, yeah,
it is. It's funny how that all works, isn't it.
Uh Yeah, Still he's moving around.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yeah. I don't think that's anything either he hasn't been
doing it finish practice or not. But I don't. I'm
not losing any sleepover, correct.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
That's a I think that's a good way to put it.
Let's take another break here, Matt all special teams period
wounds up and things are a little slow. We'll have
some more moving and shaking, some more team periods on
the other side. Plenty more to bring you from practice
here on this Thursday afternoon, live on campus at Saint
Vincent College High A Top Chuck Nolefield Well Shuler and
Matt Williamson Training Camp edition of the Drive here on

(11:33):
Steelers Nation Radio on the Steelers Audio.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Network, Iheartradios. Live coverage job Not twenty twenty five Steelers
Training Camp. He's presented by FedEx where Now meets Next
and also brought to you by bud Light Independence Health
System by Pennsylvania One Call System by Live Casino Pizza

(12:00):
and Draft Outs by Tons Appliances, South Hills Auto, Laurel,
Highlands Visitors Bureau, Remax, Select Realty, the Pittsburgh Steelers Pro
Shop and buy us Steel.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Back on Campuses. Practice rolls along here in good news.
Roman Wilson out there for very so no harm.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
He's fine out wide right now against twenty four.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Let's go good to see as Pat Friremouth moves in motion.
Rogers in the shotgun gets the snap looking left, throws
over the middle to fire mouth for.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
A nice seven yards there right, came out quick.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Let's go as we'll see exactly what the.

Speaker 5 (12:44):
Maybe now Romans coming out now ran a route and
he's not like limpid or anything.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah no, no, no, yeah, just check it out as opposed
to me, you know, maybe subbing out.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
I guess I should say maybe.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yep, But he's giving some guys some high fives and
looks to be all right, and nobody's looking at any
good news there.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Certainly Stanly Stanly as uh Asondras Pete continues to stand
with Pat Meyer.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Yeah, they're becoming buds pretty quick.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Hit the hit man.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
That's a tough job for position.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
Coaches were to give this guy right away, like I
had this day planned and then all of a sudden,
you're like, you throw this this dude and it shows
up and I gotta get him ready for Saturday game
or whatever.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
On a Thursday. Yes, good pass there from Aaron Rodgers
to Scotty Miller.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
I haven't seen many off target throws last night.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
I was going to say, and like good covers by
Beanie Bishops. Yeah, just a better throw by Aaron Rodgers.
That is encouraging to see. That's what we've been wanting
to see over these last couple of days.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Real Crisp, I keep using that word.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yep, Crisp on point.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, smooth quick, Everything about him is still twitchy.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
Like I know he's up in age, but he's a
very twitchy athlete, you know.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
I mean his feet are quick. If nothing's a laboring
move that that's.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Snappy, snappy, yep, twitchy, snappy jumpy.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah, although jumpy, I don't know. That kind of probably has.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Some negative connotations to it.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Aaron Rodgers in the Shotgun Caleb Johnson to his right
trio of receivers to the left, Rogers looking that way
and a lot of pressure coming there. Good coverage by
the secondary kind of threw that one away over Jalen
Warren and Scotty Miller's heads.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
He's also unhappy with somebody.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Yeah, I think he's talking to Mooth.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Yeah, we want to move to run that run that
route a little bit different.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I think his first read got screwed up because Mouth
didn't do what he wanted.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Sayamala will check out, but the rest of the first
team offensive line still in there, as Calvin Anderson will
get a or part of me, Spencer Anderson, We'll get
a couple of reps here at.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Left guard next to Broderick.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Next to Broderick and Connor Hayward is in motion. Another
check with me by Aaron Rodgers at the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Looks like a blitz coming.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Certainly does Deshaun Elliott up near the line of scrimmage
as well too.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Now he will different content.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
For back in the middle of the field, and Rogers
will just under some pressure dump that one off over
the middle to Connor Hayward for a nice little five
yard pickup.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, it was an interesting blitz.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
Look though they brought Elliott, but then drop the whole
left side of the line across the formation, so they
end up only bringing four. But Rogers read it well,
but that could have been real dangerous. Yeah, that's like
we're seeing different blitzes.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
That's what you that's what you love about his ability,
you know, above the above the shoulders, above the neck,
that game.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Brain certainly, as he's seen it all.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
The first team will check out and Mason Rudolphin company
will check in.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Cook's the left tackle, not Pete.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
Yes, thank you for I don't think Cooks didn't like
the hot seat or anything. No, I don't think no, no, no,
it's just an opportunity to add another tackle slash guard,
which he's never do it.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
If you do it, yeah, never a bad thing. Connor
Hayward's been pretty impressive to me.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Yeah, I think so too.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
I think so too, as he does a good job
there and you're now some interior pressure and that one
thrown caught by Robert Woods, but that would have.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Been a bound either.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
As uh.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
We continue to see the second team get some work
here in a team period in front of us. You
got to Marvin lel out there, although it looks like
he's going to check out now.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
A lot of work too.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
He has gotten a lot of work. Kevin Loudermilk getting
a lot of work this week. Loudermilk, Yes it has,
Yes it has, and he's been working almost exclusively there
at that that edge position is. Mark Robinson comes untouched
on a blitz there. Something happened as a Mason they
did not, They did not, and Pat Meyers yelling at

(16:53):
somebody down there for for missing their assignment. That would
have That would have been a less than ideal situation
and a right in.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
A game setting, unless you're the defense coordinator, like I
doubt up the.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Purpose exactly right. That's the that's the beauty of this thing. Right.

Speaker 5 (17:09):
You can root for either side or both, but you know,
grave for them play somebody else.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Yeah, I have.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
I'm ready to to have some real tangible stuff to
talk about on Saturday night. Mason Rudolph still working in
the gun. I'm gonna dump this one off to Evan
Hall on a third and short situation, trying to work
his way down the sideline there past.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
I think Hall's becoming my fourth favorite running back.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Yeah, yeah, more so than Hurlman.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
I think he's more wide out. Yeah, if I had
to put him one or the other. But Hurlman's intriguing
to me too.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Is Pete's out there? I think so.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
I was just gonna say, I think he's checking in
because he's no longer standing next.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
To Yeah, yeah, he's.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
All week this week, Matt Mike Tomlin has been in shorts.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Dogs living in mass hysteria.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
It's nuts. You can see Pete's even asked left guard, but.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
He is in. He is in at left tackle once
again here as J. J.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Galbreath will go in motion trio to the left, single
wide receiver to the right.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Thompson is back.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
He's under pressure. Also, didn't get picked up, And.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
I tell you what they they're dialing up some stuff
on that.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Yeah, that might just be a blitz period. I do
think the series will blitz more this year.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
I do too, absolutely, And we talked about that, Lorner,
we talked about that a lot the first week in camp. Sure,
good pressure there about Logan Lee without a doubt on
that one. He's another guy that we're excited about this season. Yeah, yeah,
Le Yeah, I will check back in along with Hoko
and we still have the new man Andre Pete. I

(18:55):
love it. I love it.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Darneld Washington gonna check in with J. J. Gallbreath as
Thompson will operate from the shotgun now brings Washington in
motion from.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Left to right. Snap back well protected, gets rid of it.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Good throw, there's a rock Taylor able to go up
and get that one. Better defended from the offensive line
on that one than we had seen over the last
couple of reps.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Yeah, absolutely more aware.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
As as Pete will continue to get some work at
left tackle next to Doug Nester now.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
At the left guard position.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
As uh, interesting, Matt, I've got a couple couple of
new things to watch today.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
What's been which absolutely enjoyable.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Yeah. Yeah, new quarterback as well.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
Yeah, limited work from him, but.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
No, I wouldn't expect me at the time. But nice
row again, Yeah, getting nothing out on time.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Thompson with a quick hitter to Keishawn Williams.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Beat the pass rush, get it out there.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Skyler hasn't done bad, you know, especially he's out there
more more with Thoms.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
I think he's I think he's looked better this week.
Yeah too.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
I mean, I mean, you hate to say it, but
somebody always benefits when someone gets hurt and you know
Leale with high Smith, yep, yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
At least someone better benefit, right, because there's an opportunity.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
There, right, at least get a chance.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
And uh and I do. I think Skylar Thompson has
shown well this week.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Yeah, it hasn't been bad at all.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
I made a couple of really nice throws in individual
period and he'll continue to get some work here. With
Pete staying at the.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
I would think like this group here is going to
play a lot on sad.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Oh absolutely, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Especially with two tight ends being out. You know, eighty
seven is gonna get a lot of time. I think
Carlman gets a lot of time. Rock Taylor those type.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Of absolutely bob from the snap there from the start,
So that play is going to be blown dead before
it gets going, and I believe that will be end
of the period of that period. So we'll see where
they're headed to here next or maybe are they just
going to flip directions? Yeah, we'll see. Not sure, but

(21:03):
it looks like it looks like.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
The quarterbacks are walking back towards the end zone, so
they're not going the op.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
The ones are coming back on.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
The ones are coming back on the field.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
So maybe they're just kind of starting from the top here,
I think, different different situational.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeah, maybe that was blitz and now they're gonna do
third and long. Yeah, I don't know. It looks like
it's gonna be first and ten just looking the sticks
unless they've moved on.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Yeah, they were doing some more short yardage situation stuff there,
m h in that in that previous one.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Just a different situations. We'll running back with the one.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Started, Sayamlu back in with the ones here as well too,
Darnel Washington then schronic.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Roman Wilson out there once again. Good to see.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Yeah, yeah, I don't think there's any concerns there.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
And let's see Brandon Johnson as well too.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Yeah, that's what it was, double checking. I mean, I
think that's a compliment to Johnson. I know Metcalf's out in,
Austin's out, but somebody has to be in there. An
eleven personnel with the Ones, and it's Johnson.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
Could side arms.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Rodgers to Roman Wilson, Roman Wilson able to get a
little separation from Sleigh.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
On that one.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Hard not to be impressed with Wilson.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
I completely agree, Yeah, I completely agree.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
He's one of the best stories in a positive way
of Camp so far.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
If I was, you know, one of you know, one
of our real journalists, reporter buddies, Matt who had to
do like a you know, like a weekly observations article
or things like that, like he would be he would
absolutely be involved.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
In my story of this week.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, yeah, I see you.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
He's running well, he's looking the part.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
He's done I think very well in some some run
blocking drills as well.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Yeah, he seems to could open a lot.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
I like what we're seeing from number ten out here,
as Aaron Rodgers will bring Pat Friremouth in motion the
handoff now to Caleb Johnson.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
A little bit of a hole there for him.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
But yeah, a couple he would have gained in three
or four yards on that play there. As it looks
like Anderson will check in for say, maybe Darnel Washington
room and Wilson checking back in as well too, but
will still be the same.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
Malho takes about half of the one. Yes, not because
he's losing his job. It's because he's older and doesn't
need as much.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Correct and you want to see some of these younger
guys get some opportunities and get some reps, get some looks.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
I would imagine if McCormick were happening to get hurt,
you know, knock on wood, that Anderson would go to
right guard as well.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I assume he's the backup.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
At both both. That would make sense.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
I have not seen one repidemic. Right guard played a
lot of positions early in his career, though.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
I think all of them except for.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Left I was a little scary, but a little slick.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Good job there by Aaron Rodgers to get that flip side.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Yeah, I kind of felt like it was hanging in
the air for a long time for a defender to
get it, but he just had to get out of
his hair.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Carmen was bearing down.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
He trots off the field, as will Jack Sawyer. New
group of defenders checking in here, the Bishop will check
in as We'll still have Aaron Rodgers running the show.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
Gotta love it.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
So you got sixty eight pet just hanging behind it
all too, doing isolated conversations with the airline coach.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Rogers.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Now will go under center with Kenneth Gainwell behind him,
Robert Woods in motion, and now the give is going
to be to gain Well.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
Off the left side.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Good push by the airline, good.

Speaker 4 (24:24):
Push by the offensive line. Certainly, that was a that
was a nice junk, short yardage type situation. And he's
he moves well man Kenneth gainwell it.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
He's quick, He's got that same kind of twitchy attribute
that you like to see.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
It just looks natural to him. This looks smooth.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
I mean, I don't want I don't want to out
there in short yardage and all those things, and you
don't want to getting fifteen to twenty touches a game.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
But I bet he makes some plays this year.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
I think so too. Yeah, absolutely. As now we will
have the uh the second team.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Guy's check in here and Mason Rudolph in the shotgun.
Gonna dune this one off for Caleb Johnson over the middle.
Short little game there, nice pressure from the defensive line
once again, though.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
Guy doesn't have a lot of experience catching the football,
that was pretty easy and fluid for him.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Why a black man is just disrupt everything on the field.
He's in the middle of the edge.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
He's so big. But he's doing good things too.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
And like I know that everybody at IOWA was very
surprised that he lasted as long as he did in
the draft.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah, I just think it was a lot of pass
rush production. But that's one of those a really deep
defensive tackle draft too.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
When you hear you know, when you hear that, like
the coaches at Iowa were surprised that he lasted so
long in the draft, you think, Okay, that's what.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
They're gonna say, right every day, But.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Man, I can I can really start to see it
here out at camp he has been a force.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
No, he stands out.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
He's a different body type.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
He gets his hands on footballs, he's in he's just
he's having himself a very solid camp.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
But he is not playing nose folks. I mean I
assumed from the get go he would be a nose.
But he is playing three techniques. He's playing Cam Hayward's positions,
you know, right.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Getting a lot of reps, right, a lot of reps
out here doing it as Mason Rudolph will continue to
get some reps. He'll go under center here Keith Shawn
Williams in motion productions the snap and finds Keishawn Williams for.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
A nice guy, but he can move pretty well. He
does move well, but you're better at that size, you're
right there.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Five nine hundred and eighty eight pounds. I think I'll
take the under here.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah, it seems generous.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
The height might be might be okay, one hundred and
eighty eight pounds.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
I mean he's got a little thickness to him, but
he's I mean, he's not Tree Archer.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Correct, no doubt, no doubt.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
As we will have Skyler Thompson check into the game
and just Pete still hanging out with Pat Meyer getting
every single play.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
He's getting something.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
Oh yeah, they're definitely we're going back here and over.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Robert Woods bunch tight to the line of scrimmage, Pierre
and Thornhill communicating on the back end or part of me.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
That's Chuck Clark on the back end. Excuse me. Eight
little moves there by your boy a right.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Evan Hall, he's smoothed the fluid man. He's got that.
He's talented at that. That little jump cuts there.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Certainly his acceleration is not bad.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
No, not at all, not at all.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Is Darnell Washington will check into the game now, along
with Harleman and Connor Hayward.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Still have the majority of the second team offensive line
in there. It looks like still to this point. Yeah,
I think they've gone to the third guys here yet.
As now Thompson will operate from under center once again.
Darnell Washington in motion. Feels like he's in motion almost
all the time when he's He does a lot in
these team periods. Good pressure being applied there, quite a

(28:01):
bit of pressure by hulk quite a bit of pressure
by Hulcombe as Thompson able to dump that one off,
but that would have been blown up by the defense.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Yeah, that was a defensive win for sure.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
For sure.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
As this period will be over, I think we will
go to some individual stuff here now next, Matt, I
believe probably a good time for us to take a break.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
I bet it won't be team I'm sure, yes.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
And it looks like with Danny Smith running out here,
it might be some special team stuff. And you see
Christian Koon's coming out to the.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Middle of the field. So let's take a break.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
We will continue to paint a picture for you of practice.
Probably another half hour forty five minutes or so here
to go in this padded practice today before we all
take off the Jacksonville and get ready for some preseason
action this weekend.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Plenty to get too down.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
The back half of the show, Well Shuler Matt Williamson
Training Camp edition of the Drive here on Steelers Nation
Radio on the Steelers Audio.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Network Iheartradios Live coverage job not twenty twenty five Steelers
Training Camp. He's presented by FedEx where now meets Next
and also brought to you by CGR Wholesale Roofing and
Sighting Supply Center, by Tons Appliances, by Always Safe Flagging

(29:12):
and Traffic Control by Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, by
Schneider Downs, by Hassa's Steake and Seahouse, by your Neighborhood
Forward Store, by Castle Rock, by clear View Federal Credit View,
and by US Steel.

Speaker 4 (29:30):
Rolling along here on campus on the final practice of
this week for your Pittsburgh Steelers, probably final half an
hour or so, thirty forty minutes or so of practice
there as it's a padded practice. It's been a I think,
an intense, high energy one. So far.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
We've seen a lot of contact, seen a lot of
different team period drills and locket done as usual here
on another I mean, this whole week, Matt has been
perfect weatherwise.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Oh, we got real lucky with that.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
And it's been seventy five and sunny every day. I'm sure,
I'm sure coach would have liked it to be even
a little bit hotter out here some of these days.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
But I know it's a couple of days ago. But
if you if you looked recently to Jacksonville, weather.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Still looks like some rain. Yeah, nothing sound like a
lot but rain.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Now, I was gonna say nothing that seems like it's
going to potentially, you know, hinder the game.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
But it looks it looks.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Like it's mostly supposed to relax in the evening, but
will you know, kind of be off and on like
as long.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
As like torrential downpours the whole time, right.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
And it looks like in the early afternoon is when
the you know, potential torrential downpour is going to hit.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Okay, so in the evenings.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
Doesn't doesn't look too bad. Just looks like some potential
light rain in the evening. So hopefully that would be
all good there in Jacksonville on Saturday night. Although that's
another one of those ones. I'm sure Mike Tomlin wished
it was ninety seven degrees three star or something exactly right,
although I guess we'll be down in Carolina a couple
of weeks a couple of weeks later, and that's got

(30:58):
the potential to be a hot one. Certainly well to
there and in Charlotte in the middle of August.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
But I think he was happy to see that the
two road trips are in Carolina and Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Absolutely absolutely doing punt now as we are getting some
special team stuff going on in front of us offensive
line working on the fore side of the field, a
lot of these other guys getting a rest, seeing some
different punt returners. I don't know, have you have you
been watching Robert Woods at all aty.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
No, But yesterday mufed another one.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
I'm not sure when they're going to give him the
yank on that, because I don't think he needs to
be out there at this point.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Oh, he's down there now, he is ready to.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
See if he hauls any end to it, that we
will that we will as a little bit quieter here
in practice right now.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
Yeah, we're kind of a down period right now, kind
of a hand I mean, the benches are actually pretty
full defensive lineman and yes, yes, if some offensive guys
running backs and things that aren't doing much, if you're
not a special team.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Or yep, and once again there was.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
It's not like a position coach could take all these
guys and take him because then there's a couple d
linemen out there. There's a couple of tight ends. You know,
it's a good time for everybody to get get a breather.
It's a special team or yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Yes, it's a it's a it's a nice blend of
you know, all the different positions groups that have to
come together to make special teams happen.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
You have any concerns with Cam or Bos? You know,
the news of the day.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
I can't imagine either one getting sticky or hairy or contentious.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't think so, especially Bos.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Like you said, that seems like such an easy here's
an extra million bucks, you know, have a doubles.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Sald, make it a second paid kicker in the league.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
I think if you just if you just added a
million bucks on Cam's interesting one.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
Yeah it's not his cut and dry, because he's really good,
not the bass, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
But it's just the the wage gap there.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
Yeah, he's really good and he's really old, you know,
so that makes it a harder contract. You had mentioned
off the air that the Forrest Buckner, who I think
is a pretty good com pretty good com. I think
Cam's had a little better season or better career, and
definitely a better season, But Buckner.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Is a borderline Hall of famer. He's had a great career.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
With two teams, most notably with the Colts here for
the last five, six, seven years or whatever. And I
think he's making noticeably more than Hayward. That might be
a good jumping off point.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
I think that that is a good kind of baseline
to start as.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
Yeah, if I was Cam, I'd ask for more than that.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Sure, I get it.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Sure, And so I mean, hey, I again, I don't
think this gets to a point where it bleeds into
the regular season or anything like that.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
But it's also still notable at this point obviously. And
the luxury, I don't think he's in an miss weeek
one right right. The luxury is as well too. With
both of those guys, you don't need to see them
till September either.

Speaker 5 (33:44):
Yeah, I mean I remember when Watt held in here.
I think Tommin was the happiest guy of all.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
You know, fine dude, keeping a bubble wrap, keeping fresh
for the regular season.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
If nothing does get done by Monday, I wonder if
Cam will dress or not, or you know, I guess
next week. There's those two days we're here. Next week
we can discuss, you know, if he's even in pads,
because when he was in pads, he wasn't doing team
stuff anyway, No.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
He was not.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
He was doing some separate stuff on his own, off
with some trainers or position coaches kind of down.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
On the corner.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
As we continue to get some some punting and some
uh some punt returning in front of us.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
Here you go, line are doing stuff on the second field,
but that's it. They're just they're working on picking up
stunts and that type of thing.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Quieter, Yeah, wider period of practice here.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
There goes the horn, There.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Goes the horn, and we'll get some moving and shaking here, Matthew.
Let's see, it looks like everyone kind of running down towards.
They've got the ball spotted down here at about the
ten yard line to our right. So maybe another team
period coming up here.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Looks like it when you get like firemooth and yeah, start.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Aaron Aaron Rodgers' job jogging down towards there although offensive
defensive lines field, so I think we're gonna get some
seven on and stuff here.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
I think you're right.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
And again you see some banging on the second field though, that's.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Where I was just gonna go.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Man, I like I could rather watch that.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
I would much rather watch that.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
And uh, hey, we're we're privy to to be in
a fortunate broadcasting location here regardless.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Oh pretty good.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
We've got a very good Complaints are pretty minimal, and
we've got a great.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
View, and we've got air conditioning, and we've got our
own bathroom and you know, a fridge with waters and pepsis.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
And sometimes there sometimes cookies and chips and some hot dogs.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
So we cannot complain.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
But I would like I would like to be able
to like transport ourselves fifty yards across.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Oh my goodness, Roger Jones again.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Rogert Jones versus edge Rusher there. I couldn't tell.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
Exactly what was that herbig? I think I assume so.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Because if you're gonna do ones versus ones.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Yeah, I believe that is herbig.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
But like, there's no reason Pete won't do these drills.
I mean, you're one on one, it doesn't matter about
the scheme, you know, just go out there and do
what you can.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Go out there. Would I would give here, I completely agree.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
I do my best to try to watch that. But
we do have seven on seven to our right, harmon.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
I believe good rep there by.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
These are full strength, one hundred percent go on these ones.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
Yes they are, Yes, they are on the ball.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Right.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Let's see who we're gonna get here next.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Anderson went back and left guard. But I'm not sure
if this this looks like fraserne worked by Zach. Yeah,
he's just.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
So square, right, he just he's got that wrestler technician.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Yeah, like he sinks his button. You're not going anywhere.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Really good rep by Fraser there those two gonna run
it back or no, it looks like they're moving.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Is this Leo now? Mate?

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Uh is that Leo?

Speaker 1 (36:40):
I can't tell the defender?

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Is?

Speaker 1 (36:41):
I assume he's gonna go against the right guard McCormick. Yeah,
also well done by McCormick.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
Square by McCormick there, Yeah, I think that might have
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
Leo hasn't been lining up on up on the side
exactly right, exactly right.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
I think that was a quality there actually, so that
would make sense.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
And then now it looks like maybe woosh Off against
fealtona no Sawyer against.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Falton just pushed him to the outside. Yeah, he just
steered him where he wanted to go.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
Matt, I know we've said this a bunch and we
haven't talked about him a ton, but I am, I
was gonna say, quietly confident, but not even quietly. I'm
very confident that Falton who is going to have.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
It doesn't seem like he's getting a lot of buzz.
But I also don't see wa whipping him hardly ever,
or anybody beating him, right. I think he's really playing well.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
I think so too, really well, and like you know
how kind of at this point in the off season,
you know, when we get to list season and all
that stuff, Sure Fraser is already top five on pretty
much everybody's list. See him as high as two. Some
people have him at that four or five spot. I think,
especially when Frank Rag now retired, yea a little bit more.
I think this time next year we're gonna have that

(37:52):
same conversation with FALTONO.

Speaker 4 (37:53):
I think he's I don't think that's crazy, and I'm
not saying he's gonna be a.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Two or three right tackle like Fraser, but I think
he will be on a lot of those top ten
lists in the seven, eight, nine, ten range.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
I'll be shocked that he's not a well above average starter. Yes,
as right tackles.

Speaker 4 (38:08):
Go, I completely agree. Looks like they're working on stunt. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Now they're doing like three verses two or two verses
two and stunts.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Logan Lee and Zach Frazier having a good rep there,
waiting to see if we see if we see Pete
get in on this.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
But I have left tackle, so I assume they're starting
to turn off.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
They're starting to sub out the first team guys. They
just subbed out, Sayamalu and Broderick, so that would make sense.
Looks like Sawyer and uh and Logan Lee are gonna
work that right side. Again, No part of me that
is a Sawyer and Jacobs Slade maybe, Okay, it was
not why a.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Black, No, definitely wasn't that. You don't need to see
a number with them.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
And now no because Slade. Yeah, so it wouldn't be Slade.
I'm trying to think. It's like and that's the hardest
part too, throughout camp you get multiple guys wearing the
same number as.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
You have injuries and.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
But now it looks like why a Black is going
to go up against Cook?

Speaker 4 (39:06):
Good rep there from Cook.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Yeah, he held his own quite well. Didn't give ground.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
No, no, not at all, not like this man.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
We've barely paid attention to the seven on seven real
physicality on the far side of the field is doing
really well.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
They are good rep there by Spencer Anderson.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
Most of the top guys on the air line. But
they've been doing really well. Yep, I agree, this is again.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
There is that. I think that's McCallum.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
Yeah. Yeah, so he got pushed back more than usual,
but that wasn't.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
That the I tell you what I'm this was a
very I know we've said this a few times and
again it's kind of our general observation.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
But encouraging week for the offense. Yeah, it's getting better,
particularly for the offensive line. Wilson and overshot him.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
Unable to find that one good coverage there by thorn
Hill and DeShawn l That was a deep pass there, yeah, yeah, goodness,
that was probably close to sixty yards in the air
by Aaron Rodgers there looking for Roman Wilson.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
So have not seen Pete get in.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
I have not yet either. It looks like he is
standing up there on the left side.

Speaker 6 (40:18):
See a couple will be a cook two cook fell
off and fell off and blocked there. Yeah ya, Black
was able to able to get inside. But good job
by Anderson stealing his man.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
Now Mason Rudolph will check in on the near side
field for us dumps one over the middle to Connor Hayward.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
Let's see here. I think we got to have some
We gotta have some substitutions coming on that offensive line soon.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
Oh yeah, are getting a lot of work.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Twos are getting a lot of work. Max Sharping and
Doug nest A. They're working against louder Milk and somebody
else I'm not sure to see.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Yeah it is now they're gonna do center rightco I think.

Speaker 4 (41:01):
Harmon guard right tackle, Harmon checking in here for a
rep as maybe Sawyer no Herbic next to him, part
of me. That's a good rep by those two.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
It's a good rep by those two against the second
team offensive line. Not that Stephen Jones and Doug Nester
got annihilated there.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
No, no, but but good.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
I give that one of the defense.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
By the defense.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:23):
Absolutely, Let's see. Here's still no sign of of Pete
in this drill.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
So we can stay for another minute or two here
before we have to go to break Masonde off. It
might be in now far.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Side because Cook, where is that guardy?

Speaker 4 (41:42):
Okay, that's him? Him? He did fine, pretty solid rep there.

Speaker 5 (41:47):
Yeah, he did fine. I'm not sure who the edge
of defender is going against.

Speaker 4 (41:53):
I can't I can't see. You can't see the numbers
now from this far away. It's tough. I just start
bringing binoculars out here.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Matt, and it's a rookie mistake by me. Okay. Calvin
Anderson battling down to the ground.

Speaker 4 (42:08):
There, Yeah, good rep.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
There a lot of guys finishing.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
Guy, I was finishing to the whistle here, baby, I
tell you as uh as now Skyler Thompson will step
into run seven shots to uh to our right here still,
I mean a physical period between the offensive and the
defensive line across the field here. Looks like I think
that that might be bent and checking back in.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
A good power rush by him, if that was him.

Speaker 4 (42:35):
Yeah, working there on Max sharping, sharping his knives for.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
The regular season Iron sharping.

Speaker 4 (42:46):
Iron, sharping iron.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
As Uh that was yep, pretty well. He was going
to get beat right off the batle very.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
Well there, Yeah, you lie, well they are. They are
freight checking back in, I think, yeah, I think Fraser's
checking back in at center.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Probably right tackle, though.

Speaker 4 (43:05):
I would think so, that's what it looks like. I'd be,
I know, right guard.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
Yeah, sharping up, push back pretty heavy than that one
came out of stands kind of high.

Speaker 3 (43:19):
Yeah, it's been been good back and forth between the
offensive and the defensive lineman on the far side of
the field. They're gonna run it back between these two
or no, it looks like we're gonna get a substitution now. Uh,
now it'll be right tackle.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
Trying to see is that Stephen Jones right tackle? I
do not believe so, No, it is not.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
I've not seen much of Jones today, Yeah, think of it.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Yeah, I agree with you. We haven't. We haven't called
his name out much here today. I know he's out there.
I've seen him a few times.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Who I have seen is this Gareth Warren seventy eight
has played a little bit at right tackle. Yep for Linden,
would ye.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
He's the one he's the one who's out there right now.
Good rep there by by Andres Pete at left tackle again,
wish I could tell you who he's going against, but
it's his defenseman, love their crop tops man, and that
makes it difficult. It certainly makes it difficult.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
As as they continue to rock and roll on the
far side field, and that'll do it. There's the horn
for this team period. Let's see where they get moving
and shaken here, Matt before we go to break. Are
we going to maybe have a full team period here.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
With the defensive lineman running down this way?

Speaker 4 (44:39):
Very very interesting?

Speaker 3 (44:43):
All right, It looks like that's gonna be the case.
So let's stay for just a couple of reps here.
We'll stay for for the first for the first teamers
here in this team period, as uh, the big men
make their way.

Speaker 5 (44:57):
To the kind of curious, what's going on with Jones
buddy here at right tackle? Yeah, I haven't seen a
whole lot of action from him.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
Not a whole lot of him today. He is out there,
he's standing there, he's standing here on the sideline right
in front of it.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
Came over by himself though I was wondering for something
going on with him, big body man. He's a wide dude.

Speaker 4 (45:15):
As uh, we'll have some one on one, some ones
on one's action here though it looks like Broderick is
out there, but no, saamlu I believe.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
So we're gonna have oh no, look here, come say Malo.
Now you'll have Benton and Harmon on the interior the
defensive line, with Sawyer and herbig manning the edge, Rolls
Holcombe and Peyton Wilson in the middle of the field,
Beanie Bishop out there with one Thornhill, Brandon Echoles, Pierre

(45:49):
and or no part of me, Joey Porter Junior and Elliott.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
So it's the ones of who's available.

Speaker 4 (45:56):
Yep, Aaron Rodgers under center once again, Darneld Washington in motion, rumbling, bumbling, stumbling,
and they're gonna fake it the Jalen Warren Rogers looking
quickly surprised. He didn't get rid of that one.

Speaker 1 (46:07):
There, but he's yeah, didn't love his first read.

Speaker 3 (46:09):
Didn't love his didn't love his first read there, Brandon Johnson,
So instead he dumps it off to Ben Scronick for
a short game down the right side. A lot of movement, though, man,
a lot of motion, A lot of movement.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
Yeah, a lot of rollouts.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
Spencer Anderson will check into the game here for Samlus
with just one rep there for Saamalil before he will
get a breather once again. All the offensive linemen here
on the near side except for Pete who is standing behind.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
Getting special treatment there getting.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Some brown noser with Pat Meyer as Robin Wilson now
in motion, Rogers in the shotgun with Caleb Johnson to
his right. Defensive line will shift snap back for Rogers
to give to Johnson is just blown up by Benton
my goodness. I mean he went right past a left.

Speaker 1 (47:04):
Side line, got a good push, but well the left
tackle didn't.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
That's where the pressure came from. And a disruptive play
there for sure, to say the least for Keanu Benton.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
You can see him taking a nice step this year too.

Speaker 4 (47:20):
I could.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
I could as well too, And again not that you know,
I think everyone was kind of expecting him to explode
onto the scene.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
Yeah, he just doesn't have huge sack numbers.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
But he I think still played well, just didn't have
the statistical pop that everybody.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
Was hoping for.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
I have no reservations about.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
Rogers operating from the shotgun here still Pat Fryarmouth, Roman Wilson,
I think Rock Taylor and Brandon Johnson taking deep shot
here off the fingertips of Robert Woods.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
Yeah. It's a nice, pretty throw one on one coverage.
You saw it.

Speaker 5 (48:00):
I'm taking a shot and couldn't quite connectingertips.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
As the first team will check out. In the second team,
we'll check in. We are overdue for a break. We'll
get to that now, final bonus hour the show coming up.
On the other side, we'll wrap up practice for you.
We'll get to some of your tweets. We'll hear from
some of the Pittsburgh Steelers as well to plenty to
get to in the final hour of the program. Wes
