Speaker 1 (00:00):
iHeartRadio's live coverage of about twenty twenty five Steelers training camp.
He's presented by FedEx where Now meets Next, and also
brought to you by CGR Wholesale Roofing and Sighting Supply Center,
by Tom's Appliances, by Always See Flagging and Traffic Control

(00:24):
by Greater Pittsburgh Community Footbag by Schneider Downs, by Hass's
Steak in Seahouse, by your Neighborhood Board Store, by Castle Rock,
by Clearview, Federal Credit Youth, and by US steel.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
We're all along here at practice at Saint Vincent College,
our pen ultimate practice of this training camp period. For
those of you who don't use big words like Matt
and I, pen ultimate means next to last.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I learned that late in life.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I do that a couple of I thought it was
like the last, like the ultimate one. I thought that
ultimate was like a fancy way of saying extra ultimate.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, exactly as a couple of years ago, I hadn't
heard that word much, And now people use it all
the time, and I definitely didn't know what it meant.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Well, I guess they've just been listening to me too much.
That could be true too, Aaron Rodgers on quirks one
down the field for hurlmanah gutsy throw broken up well
by Joey Porter Junior as well to close him down
on that one.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Hurlman's really grown on me. I don't know if there's
a spot for him.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, that as we kind of continue to bob and
wee between practice and pre season observations, Matt, but I
continue to like what we saw from him. I mean,
scored that touchdown. He he lines up and does a
lot of different things. But again, though, as you mentioned,
the big question is is there or where is the
spot for him?

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, and even like that one is a downfield forty
yard route. I mean you look at him. Part of
its skin color obviously, but its stature. I mean you
think of him as like a Welker Edelman inside slot,
and he does do a lot of those things. But
he's fast, and he is more athletic than probably giving
credit for. He throws his body around, has special team capability.

(02:00):
He's both as a returner and is like a guy
that will run down and tackle you on punt or
kickoff team. I really hope he's here next year, you
know what I mean, Like I look at a lot
of these dudes, like, just get him the Saint Vincent's
a year from now, you know, And that's a long
winding roads saying, you know, like I don't know if
he can be one of the top five receivers. And

(02:21):
Scronic's going to make the team too, And but I
don't want to lose them either, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yes, I am one thousand percent with you on that.
I think that's a very good way to put it.
Whether it's practice squad or whatever ends up being the case.
I would like that guy to be here, you know,
three hundred and what fifty some days from now, Yeah, with.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
One more year under the belt of being in the
weight room and around the team, more familiar, and maybe
there's a spot then for you you know.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, No, I think that that makes a ton of sense.
And he is, he's he's one of those guys that continues.
I think you were saying this.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
It's kind of like the seventh round pick the corner,
the Kent Kent. Yeah, just get him here, next, just
get him here until.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
We're ready to go, and a step further along in
the process than he is now. I can't remember, mad
if I heard you saying this on the post game
with Pursuito. Maybe it was on the pregame show with Tom.
You know, you and I we both.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
We did a bunch of Yeah, it was four hours
from a.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Lot of different Were you at the studio for the
whole time? Did you do some of that from home?
How did you know?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
I did the whole thing from the studio. I did
two hours, and then I did what usually is a
call in. I just went in with with Mike and
we did that, watched the game with Mike in the studio,
and then quickly did you know I went to the postgame?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
You were there the whole time. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
We started at three long days and we ended at
twelve thirty.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, you guys did it.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah we got had.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
What a bunch of jerks? I good lord. I didn't
even think land until two o'clock.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
I think the super short Tomlin press conference helped us.
Definitely help because usually we go right after that and
was like, whoa, I guess we're on.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Definitely helped you. I told this to Rob King, and
I know that you and our producer justin and pursued it,
and probably everybody that is involved with football would agree.
When I am elected President of the United States, Matt,
you know, like like twenty years from now, the first
thing that I'll do is executive order that all NFL
preseason games have to start at one o'clock.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Why am I getting home at two thirty in the
morning from a preseason areas. It's gonna happen again when
we're in Charlotte on a Thursday night.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
It's definite. If it's Monday night football or Sunday, the
whole world's watching preseason game.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
They should all be Saturday and Sunday at one o'clock.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
I mean I would handle four, be fine or three.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, no night games, No preseason night games one o'clock
or four o'clock. That's all you get. Why am I
exhausted for a preseason game?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Good.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
That's a good rule change for when you become leader
of the world.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I'll be focused on the important things. Obviously.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I always said, you know, whenever I'm king of the world,
I'm going to create a minor league system for NFL,
and then I'll dig into like world famine and hunger
and things like that f down the road.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
After I fixed the NFL preseason, then right. Then I'm
gonna my second executive order will be making a death penalty,
penalty by death if for if you left lane is
punishable by death. Okay, that's number and then number three.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I love watching your blood boil on the way to
Indianapolis over here as you're one inch off the bumper
in front of you in the left lane.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
One sentimator, you mean maybe Aaron Rodgers here, we got
a little team period getting go.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah, we'll see some good good action here.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Yeah, Downie throws and you're seeing more of TJ. Watt.
Yeah in this practice, which is good to see Kenneth
Gainwell getting a run there off the left side.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Back you're pointing to open the show. Though there are
not many one reps where eighty is not on the field,
I mean, considering the depth of tight end and they
don't live in thirteen, he does not come off the
field very much, and I think less than ever despite
the competition at the position. I mean, I think I
think they think he's special, and I have been saying
that for a year.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
I sometimes, Matt, you just need to be out here
to just kind of read the tea leaves.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, yeah, and see how.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Everything falls and and that's absolutely in a stute point
by you, he is he has been heavily involved, is
Aaron Rodgers will dump one off here to trace sermon
in the flat well.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Covered up becomes the number two line.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Have not seen a sleigh back in since that, since
that little foot tweak. He is still sitting over there
on the bench. So he's still out there on the
practice field on the bench, slapping hands with h with Patrick.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
He's got his legs up, but I don't think there's
like even ice on it or anything.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
I think if it was anything even remotely concerning, they'd
have him up in the locker room probably, So he's
hanging out. His day, I would imagine is probably over,
but he's still in his and his stuff, hanging out
on the bench down there at Joey Porter Junior. Now
after a few reps, gets a break and he goes
down and sits next to him. As reminder, it is
a non padded practice here today for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

(07:05):
But yeah, I'm I'm with you on some of those
getting back to where we kind of started. The guys
that you would like to see in this process, and
Hurlaman is certainly one of them. Yeah, yeah, I continue
to be impressed by where he's at and how he's
deployed and all those different things. And I think he
might be starting to separate from that that pack of
the other you know, other than the Big three.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Different than those guys too. You can line up in
the backfield, and I think he brings more on special
teams as a more than a returner than some of
those other quote no name receivers.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
You know, yes, yes, I completely agree with you on
that as uh.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Like, it wouldn't shock me if he has an NFL career,
you know, yes, I mean that's a big accomplishment for.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
An undrafted guy. Is that John new Smith on the
far side field going through some se him in the
end zone over there with his helmet on, going through
some stuff by himself. I think that that is.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I haven't seen a ton of him and team and stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yeah, I think that he's over there doing kind of
his own thing, as is Jalen Ramsey. So that would
make sense.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Where are you pointing those guys down it?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Ramsey is right here. Definitely him on the thirty yard
line on the second field because he's still wearing his jersey.
John whu here with his hands on his hips walking
out of the end zone, is not wearing his jersey,
is wearing the black hoodie. But I believe that that
is that that is John new Smith.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
I think you're right because I have not seen much
of him. He's kind of got He's got his hands
on his hips in kind of an awkward way like
something's by. Well.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
He just to be fair, he was just running sprints.
He might just be catching his breath after a few gassers. Yeah,
but yeah, Ramsey working on some stuff over there as
well too. Not seeing well he we saw him down
there in a in a bucket half, but not seeing
in terms of activity Cam Hayward.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
But we have gotten a good their trade buddies, their
dolphin buddies.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
They are dolphin. That's right. Let's go, let's go, let's
go work out here on the far side field as
the weather today maybe feeling a little little south beach
as it is a beautiful, beautiful warm day here today.
Certainly as Mason Rudolph continues to lead the off in
this team period to give there to gain well.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Quick feet man, I said, every time.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I'm shifty, Yeah, he really is. I'm excited to see
what they do with him this year and what that
role looks like.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
This runs a lot of receiver routes to him.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Yeah, Hey, maybe I buried the lead on this as
I'm watching these guys down here on the sideline. What
did you think of Roger Jones and Troy Faltanu on
Saturday Night?

Speaker 3 (09:20):
So the more I watched Faltanu and I actually was
just watching him against what a couple of reps ago, thinking,
I like, don't worry about him at all, and now
I think he can play. Yeah, now I look at
him like he might be one of the best five
right tackles in the league soon by Thanksgiving. Yeah, like soon,
you know, kind of like Fraser was on that course. Yeah,

(09:42):
this is the best compliment I could give Broderick was
we had two callers in the postgame show, and I
know they're not glued to substitutions and things like we
are and who's the number two oh line? But they
called it and said the Broderick Jones played night. I'm like, yeah,
and it's great that you have to ask because there
was no issues.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That means he didn't jump off the screen for yeah,
Pete or missing a block or something.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah, I don't have the snap count handy, but I
think Rudolph played fourteen and the entire starting O line
played fourteen with him. I mean, I know that they
were right there together, and they didn't play Josh Allen
Hines or Heinz Allen or whatever, but they did play
Trayvon Walker. And Smoot's a good player, so he was

(10:26):
going against good dudes. And I saw no issues Jones.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
That is yes, yes, I'm trying to I just had the.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
It's right that neighborhood. They played like three series or
two series whatever.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
But the starting O line was out with Rudolph. They
played the exact same.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Snaps correct, correct. They played fifteen snaps fifteen Okay, it
was close, fifteen snaps together, whereas cool Man Doug Dester,
Max Sharping was fifty four snaps. Baby yeah, well, and
and Nestor and Sharping played some special team snaps as
well too, So they led the team with fifty nine snaps.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Okay, that's gonna be field goal protection.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Correct.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
They're not running on a kickoffs or anything.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
No, No, Aiden Williams third with fifty four.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
I don't know if that was by necessity or if
they have more hopes for this Aiden Williams character than
I know, and maybe he's a practice squadter, or maybe
he's the definition of just get him here next year,
you know, one of those type of.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Totally totally and you know what now that I'm looking
at it, you know who if you factor in special
team snaps as well too, who actually led the team
in snaps with sixty one ser JJ goallbreath. Oh wow, okay,
in terms of in terms of the offensive side of football,
I should specify, Yeah, but that's.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
That adds up. I mean two of your top tight
ends didn't play, and you didn't want Washington to play
a time, right, so.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
They were played fifty So I mean he's up there
towards the top as well too. He played deep in
one for goall breath. Okay, forty two offensive snaps at
tight end nineteen to lead all special teams. He played
more special team snaps than even Sawyer and Castro, who
had oh sorry, Carson Berner had twenty four, twenty four
special team Carson Brunner.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
I don't know if he's abound the fifty three, but
will definitely be one of those five core special teamers
when he's active or when he's in dressed or whatever.
That's interesting about Albroth, Like, I think snapcounts can be misleading,
but I think if you really know a team, like
we know the Steelers, they really tell a story. And

(12:23):
I always do a podcast the day. I do one
right after the game, and then I do one two
days later where I break down like snapcounts and things
like that that came out. I'm not going to count
to myself, I'll tell.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
You that, so we'll let somebody else do that work.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
And sometimes it's because of necessity, you know, like especially
in the preseason, you know, he got a bunch of
guys resting or whatever, or or even the regular season,
somebody gets hurt to this guy's active, so you got
got to get thrown into the mix, even though that
wasn't the plan. But usually snap counts, especially preseason stuff,
are well laid out beforehand, you know, like these are gifts,

(13:02):
these are rewards, And if you're a guy like Galbreath,
I would have to think all those special team snaps
are going to be really valuable to if you can
be in the plus call him on those totally. You
got to think that there's a practice squad spot for you,
and you're one injury away to the top four tight
ends to be in the first call up. I think

(13:24):
it's all thro his way a lot since we've been
here here. Absolutely, it's a name he always ringing up. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Absolutely, And that's what I was going. That's what I
said at the start of his segment that I was
forgetting that you. I can't remember if it was with
Tom or if it was a PURSUITO in the pregame
of the postgame, but you said, you know, one thing
that I always kind of stands out to me is
when we're out of training camp, like, am I saying
this guy's name two or three practices in a row? Yeah,
by saying this guy's name a lot, three out of
four practices and J. J. Gallbreath has been one of

(13:50):
those guys.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Yeah. Absolutely. I mean again, I didn't study him before
we got here, but it was like by day two
or three of camp, it was man eighty seven shows
up again. Eighty seven shows up again. Who's his name?
I guess I should learn it, you know, And yeah,
he's been part of the becks. Yep.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
No, he absolutely is We've had a few tweets rolling
in here that we will get to as we go
along with this one from John maybe laugh He said,
Wes better not be calling him Tristan after that game once,
no excuse anymore. Although Rob King did it, but he
messed up another like call like, oh, I think he
called Peyton Wilson Roman Wilson or he got them he

(14:27):
got them messed up or something like that, and I
was like, hey, that's my move, Okay, don't be still
in my move here, King or just because you're the
king in the castle, all right, you can't be messing
up people's first names. You're the actual broad you're the
play by play guy here. We'll get the more tweets
as we roll along. More from practice here is we
probably have another forty five minutes to an hour or
so in practice Special Teams period going on now, so

(14:47):
good time for us to take a break and we'll
continue to describe and relay the action for you here
at Chuck Nollfield on the campus of Saint Vincent College,
West Ruler and Matt Williamson Training Camp. Edition of the
Drive here on Steelers Nation Radio on a Steelers Audio
network Iheartradios.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Live coverage of about twenty twenty five Steelers training camp
is presented by fadex where Now meets Next, and also
brought to you by First National Bank, by Kalucy Chevrolet
iron Workers Union Number three, by Easy Home Exteriors, by
SNT Bank, we Max Select Realty, by Don's Appliances, the

(15:31):
Pittsburgh Steelers Pro shot by Always Safe Blagging and Traffic Control,
and by US.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Steel Practice is rolling along here. It looks like we're
coming to the end of special teams period right now,
mister Williamson.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Yep, yepoks like team's gonna start out here.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I think we're gonna have some another team period down
here to a right, So we will obviously bring you
this action in just a minute as they get moving
and shaken alls. So, Matt as we kind of today
wasn't our most punctual attendance report. But I have not
seen Samalu out there a good point, which has been normal,
And it's not to raise an alarm or anything. He's

(16:13):
I'm sure he's out there and I just haven't been
able to pick out his man buns, so he must
have a hat on or something today.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
I think they're very comfortable with miss Anderson as well.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
I think they're very comfortable with Anderson and continuing to
get him some work. Yeah, and just you know what
Sayamalu is as an accomplished guard in this league, who
is you know, no longer a spring chicken, and you
want to keep him fresh as possible.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Noticeably older than the other starter, correct, right.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
And I do see Cam Heyward is standing down there
right now about the twenty five yard line. Yeah, he's
got a backwards hat on and is talking to I
can't tell if that's Denzel Martin, the linebackers coach, or
somebody down there on the sideline though. So Cam is
down there, Like I said, I'm sure Isaac probably is
somewhere as well too, but he is not dressed for

(17:01):
practice today. Just wanted to make sure to relay that information.
We got some team periods starting up here. It looks
like pretty much all hands on deck.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
T J.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Watt is out there. No, no Jayalen Ramsey.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Or they really are.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
He's standing over there on the sideline and join himself
with some of the fellow defensive backs. But TJ is
out there.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
TJ is on a fair amount today.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
I think this has probably been his his you know, busier,
busier day, And I wonder if maybe that's because he's
planning on having a busy day Thursday and the joint practice,
and so maybe he wants to kind of time if
I'm I can't just ramp it up on Thursday, I
gotta I gotta be active here this week and kind
of get myself Saturday. No, as uh, here we go,

(17:45):
little one on one, little ones on ones action. The
offense will be moving from right to left. Yes, spread
in the field with Roman Wilson in motion, Jayalen Warren
in the backfield with his extra long towel as Aaron
Rodgers will pump fade.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
I don't get to the extra low. It's almost like
the round it is.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
He has a has a towel out of his out
of his pants, which a lot of these guys do,
but his is almost to the ground. Is mad.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
Yeah, it's super long. He doesn't have the longest legs
and it's like almost dragging on the ground.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
If he lost a bet, you think that's his fantasy
football punishment as that one just kind of blown up
by by Eckles and a nickel blitz there not much
Aaron Rodgers could do and how to throw it away.
Pierre and Porter the boundary corners for the Steelers with

(18:36):
Echoles in the slot right now, play action to Jalen Warren.
Aaron Rodgers zips one across the field to Ben Skronnick. Dude,
he just gets rid of that thing quick like it's impressive.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, it's impressive. But he pulls agger. It comes out.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
The quick little zip that he can put on that
thing has Ben Scronnick with a nice pick up there.
For the offense, they're just working on first intent. Looks
like they're just simulating first intense situation. Here is the
offense as Caleb Johnson will check in at running back.
Other than that, looks pretty much the same. Not really
any subs for the defense so far. You got her

(19:10):
Big and Watt, you got Queen and Wilson, uh and
the first team offense will stay in there as well.
DK Metcalf line up in the slot with Pat Fryermouth
out in the boundary, but now Mooth and Connor Hayward
will bunch in tight. The defense adjusts shotgun snap back
Rogers looking for Metcalf just a touch out of his range,

(19:32):
A good job there by Eckles. Eckles having a good
practice here so far. Yeah, getting kind of bumped right
up with the ones in the UH.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
I think he's a valuable piece. You can do a
lot of different things for you and you know, mostly depth.
But even I wonder I need to look into this
when they go to Dime, who will be the sixth
defensive back. You know, it'll be the top two safeties
and it'll be the big three, big three. I would
assume Eccles will be in the dime.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
I think you would be correct. Yeah, I think he's
again to use that basketball like that sixth man, you know,
off the bench analogy. I I think I think he's
the one, and he's had himself a solid camp, having
a solid I completely agree. I like Chuck Clark. The
addition of Chuck Clark too exactly. I think Eccles is
very versatile as Rogers has some time here and just

(20:17):
dumps this one off to Caleb Johnson. Not much working
down the field as Deshaun Elliott this time had good coverage.
Yeah yeah, offensive line is not all right, but but
the last couple of snaps of of I think the
defenses is getting some pressure in, there's Logan Lee and

(20:39):
Jack Sawyer will check in.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
I was shocked how little Logan Lee played. Yeah, I'm
not sure what to take of that.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
That's good, that's true. It might just be because they're confident.
But that's a good point by you as him and Jack. Yeah,
he did. He really did. Quick little out here to
Scotty Miller, who's able to to get a nice seven
eight yard gain down the sideline. Is now the first

(21:06):
team offense will check out. We'll have some wholesale changes here.
Mason Rudolph and the offensive line. Second team offensive line
will check in.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Including Pete. I keep paying attention Pee stout guard, so
I keep he is now at guard. Yeah, this is
the first I've seen him play guard. Cook is the
the backup left tackle, and I think they're quite happy
with him. But they also have been mixing Pete in
almost entirely at left tackle, and now he's at left guard.
So I keep. He was on my radar early because
they just signed him, but now I'm really paying attention.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Very interested. Yeah, as a quick slant.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
To he did play some tackle recently too. Pete played
the first two years of the Saints was exclusively at
left tackle, drafted the first round or and then the
next like six or seven years was exclusively at guard and.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
That's when he made the three Pro Bowls in a
row and was.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Better at that. And then the last year in New
Orleans he played a lot of tackle as well because
they had drafted Fuaga and this year, and then then
he went to the Raiders after that.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
So and I do think he was a small sample size,
but he was at tackle for the Raiders as well.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
I believe, I think so. But again, he played less
than sixty snaps as a Raider.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Hey did a good job there picking up a stunt
by Jack Sawyer on that rep. And that's one of
the things for me too, is again is he's kind
of trying to hop on this moving trade train a
little later in the process and everybody, I just want
to see him look better and more comfortable this week
than he did last week exactly.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
And you know, the smarts and experience will help a
great deal in terms of the getting on the moving
train thing. Now, get yourself in football shape and ready
to go, and he could be he could be the
true sixth man too. Yeah, I think there's some value
and I think there's a lot of value.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
In him completely, you know, that's I think that's a
luxury we thought that they were going to have last year,
and then those injuries quickly piled up. He lost her
Big in camp, he lost Faltanu in camp, and then
in the regular season, and then what I mean, James
Daniels was that week ree in Indianapolis. I want to
say early on in the process as well too, as

(23:05):
Mason Rudolph will just throw this one away, nice one
handed snag there, but out of bounds, as we'll have
some more substitutions for the offense. But no, that's that's
I'm glad you noticed that, and I do think, right,
that's the first time we've seen him work in the
guard out here.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Here's the first I've noticed him play any guarded in
a Steeler out Steeler uniform.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yeah, it's that's the same, uh, same observation I believe
in Brandon Eckles. I think we saw him getting more
work there in the slot than we had seen to
this point.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Yeah, he's very slot capable Jets.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Yeah, exactly right, exactly right.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Which doesn't bode great for your boy being.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
I was just gonna say he played a ton on
Saturday with.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
A no fault of his own. I think his roster
spots in a lot of jeopardy.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
It's in a lot of jeopardy. I mean when you
bring in Sleigh and Ramsey.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
The Ramsey trade didn't help his cause. Obviously, echoles.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
He plays, he plays a decent amount of teams, which
will help his case.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
That's definitely a useful you.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
I mean again, you look around, and it's this conversation
that we had starting the show. Yeah, you look around
and there's not a lot of competition for starting spots.
There's not a lot of competition for depth. That's a
lot of guys who have clear defined, carved out roles already.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
Yeah, Pursueder and I were talking about this stour in
the game and then into the postgame show that I
think there's gonna be two roster spots for Bishop Pierre
and Trice to fight over.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
And and hey, Corey might take himself out of the
equation just by not being able to stay available.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
That's the biggest not But.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
I also know that they are very high on him
when he's been available.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
I want to say, they're all very different corners, and
you know, Pierre's value as special teams. I think he's
the least high upside of the corners. On defense. Bishop
played a lot, but he's really only a slot. Trice
can't stay healthy. But what he does is the hardest
thing to find of all of them, is a true press,
lengthy outside corner. So you might be more patient with

(25:00):
because you can go get a nickel, you can go
get a special team or But that'll be an interesting
conversation because I don't think all three can make it,
because you know, the top four corners, including Eccles, are
set in stone.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yes, and I do think Eckles is in that.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
I think he's yet clearly number four. He's not in
the top three, but he's not with fighting the other guys.
I think he's clearly number four out there still.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
I'm with you on that. TJ. Watt is out there,
still is. The ones will check back in. They will
now move the offense from left to right after moving
from right to left on your radio dive, that was
always one of my favorite you know, old school radio, Yeah,
Mike Lang, Billy Hillgrove. The Steelers are dressed in their
black helmets, white jerseys, and yellow pants. They will move
from left to right on your radio, Dove. It's a

(25:44):
hockey night in Pittsburgh. Put gonna drop here in the
first period. The Penguins will move from right to left.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
On your right.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
That's a really bad Mike Lang kind absolute goat impression
that I'm doing there of Mike Lang, Slap me silly.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Aaron Rodgers here, scratch my back of that.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Scratch my back with a jugs machine out here. As
Rogers will operate from the shotgun Jalen Warren to his left,
move blitz in the slot. Lobbs went down the field
bread basket as DK just got a step or two
on Pierre and man Matt.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
That was like pressure and now you know.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
About a twenty twenty five air yards on that thing,
and DK would have been moving.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
That's pre snap. That's Rogers going. I got DK on Pierre,
who I know is not their strongest cover guy. I'm
setting him, smelling the blitz. The blitz comes, I am
definitely going to that matchup. I'm gonna lead him perfectly
and he can just go make a play boom perfect.
That's experience and touch and all those good things.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Darius Slay was icing up the foot ankle over there
moving around a little bit. So good to see. I
also saw Will Howard was kind of involved with some
of the quarterbacks when they were going through some stuff.
Oh really so yeah, so nice to see. He's not
in a uniform or anything kind of you know, going
through the motions in some of the drills.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
So maybe he's not as far away as we think.
Would I would just assume he doesn't play Thursdays, yeah,
or Saturday, but maybe you get him in Carolina.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
That would be a nice added bonus.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Certainly, we will continue.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
I was gonna say, we'll continue to see the see
the ones out there as Rogers and company. Mister Rogers
neighborhood still rolling along.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Yeah, long huddle.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
He's just gonna say, uh, delay a game offense.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
I keep paying attention to Pete. He's always doing something
different than the alignment, Like right now he's sitting on
the cooler, but he used to always be like right
in Pat my there's always it gets a little different. Attention.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Rogers back looking good pressure from the defense. CJ got
the better find Pat firemouth downfield. But I think that
would have been a sack or a throwaway in a regular.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Done by pat though he got a lot of separation there.
He did light in the down.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yeah, he did a good job of like finding that
soft spot and coverage as well too. As will we
continue to see the ones or is that gonna do
it now? Looks like they're gonna huddle up and listen,
We're gonna stay with him as long as the ones
are out there. More Darnell Washington, More Roman Wilson, Roman Wilson.
Are you surprised we didn't see a little bit more
him Saturday night? They made a couple of nice plays

(28:25):
out there. Make a big player see a little bit more,
you know, an extra series or two.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
A crazy Yeah, Rudolph threw them to strike early. Didn't
really cross my mind, But I maybe that's a compliment
as well, Like we've seen enough and we really wanted
to get that next group of receivers as much time
as we possibly could. I think he's pretty clearly the
three right now, and maybe even as a chance to

(28:50):
challenge Austin for the two.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
I'd like to see Calvin Austin back out here soon.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Yeah, that needs to get back this Rogers looks for Wilson,
A little gravy by.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Little gravy by Pierre. I think that one might have
been thrown as a pass interference.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Possibly, Yeah, possibly, probably.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Had some hands on them downfield there.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
And that was thirty twenty yards down field.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Yeah, Roman did a good job of getting himself square
and finding that football. It's him and Rodgers. Now we'll
have a little conversing at the at the twenty yard
line here on the New York side as second team
offensive line, no part of me still the starting offensive line,
but Mason Rudolph will check in. I was like, wait,
where's Pete? He's still on the sideline here. First team

(29:33):
offensive line still out there. Robert Woods in motion snap
back to give to Caleb Johnson. Nice hole there, Yeah,
by the offensive line, and now the second team O
line will.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Check in, including Pete.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
It looks like he's going to be a guard once
again here. Jones and Cook are both in along with Nester.
So let's see how they deploy here, just to make sure,
and then maybe we'll get to our break.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
I'm being out and sharping, really getting thrown in the
mix here at center.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Absolutely, I don't think McCollums schedulell be out a lengthy
amount of time.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
I don't believe so either, but that's always something that
we just got to kind of wait and see this
time of year.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
But that is how they have in. Pete's at the
left guard.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Pete is at the left guard position once again. As
Mason Rudolph operates from the shotgun, Connor Hayward moves in motion.
Rudolph back looking, gets ridd of one over the middle
a little behind Connor Heywood, but he's able to contor
his body and bring that one in nice catch up
for eighty three.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
That Oline held a bone protection.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
It sure did, Sure did. Let's get to a break here.
We'll bring you the kind of final moments of practice
when we return, and still plenty to get too as
we roll along here on campus today our penn ultimate
day of practice before tomorrow the last open practice here
on the campus of Saint Vincent College, West Ruler and
Matt Williamson Training Camp. Edition of the Drive here on

(31:00):
Stealers Nation Radio, on the Steelers Audio Network.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
And Iheartradios Live coverage Job twenty twenty five Steelers Training Camp.
He's presented by fad X where Now meets Next and
also brought to you by bud Light Independence Health System
by Pennsylvania One Call.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
System, by five.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Casino, Calciente Pizza and Draft House by Tons of Alliances,
South Gilds Auto, Laurel, Highlands Visitors, Bureau, Remax, Select Realty
of Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Shop and by US Steel.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Back at special teams period here as we get to yeah,
probably the final half an hour or so, I would
think practice. I would think here there will be.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
We'll think there would be a long one. They generally
have been.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Correct, and I would think that this would be a good,
you know, two hour and fifteen minute, two and a
half hour ish practice, especially since they're not in pads,
especially since they had the day off yesterday. If you
saw at the end of that team period there too
as well, Matt, we saw Doug Nester finished out as
the center in the last couple of times.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
I missed that.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
OK reps there as well too.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
You wouldn't think third string center is that big a deal,
but it's something that you got to deal with in
terms of making the team work right now. If you
know you don't want Zach Fraser being overworked or dealing
ever with the twos, that's not gonna happen, and that
just kind of shows the value of McCallum. You know
that if they were to play a game right now,
who gets you out of the game if heaven forbid,

(32:30):
fifty four goes down.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, he's out there right right. It's a very good point.
And you're right, he's.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Kind of been missed. I mean, you wouldn't take a
backup centers that big a deal that only play center.
But he's been missed.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
But it's the whole trickle down effect. Yes, yes, before
if you if your center isn't up the snuff, and
that hinders the entire offensive line, which hinders the quarterback
and the run game and the evaluations and.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
And maybe just maybe the plan was you only wanted
to work Pete at left tackle, but now you're moving
guards to center so you can move him to guard.
It's just you know, it's always ever changing.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Yeah, No, it absolutely is. And that's Hey, those are
some of the things that we are that we are
here to keep an eye on as we uh as
we continue to bring you practice here now and it's
special teams period. Looks like what we have the offense
is the entire offense on the far side of the
field over there, Matt I think quarterbacks.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Yeah, going through a teaching period. They're mostly on knees
and you know, just kind of going through you know, instruction.
Quarterbacks are throwing a little, but nothing too crazy.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
No, I'm trying to watch Will Howard to see if
he'll go through a couple of reps here too. But
he's just standing out near the fifty yard line right now,
kind of hanging in.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Correct. Correct, A lot of these gold slash yellow jerseys
are under the tents under the sun.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Exactly right, exactly right. The defense just hanging out special
teams in front of us on the h on the
near side field, and uh yeah, we're going yep. And
running backs looks like are working on a hands receiving
drill down there to the left as as things roll
along here.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Not the most exciting portion of practice, it is not.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
And again I think we're kind.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
Of not a thrill them in in a football practice.
By the way, folks, people get this misconception, you know.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Yeah, that it's just dudes just running into each other.
Sometimes it is. But even on those even on those
ramped up days, you still have your special teams period.
You still have teaching periods as well too, because as
great as it may be that you could go and
hit somebody or block somebody, if you're not in the
right spot, it's not going to matter anyways, and.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
They want to be able to teach you on the field,
and you know, something that's on their their mind that
they're bugging them in that last team period or whatever,
you know.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Right as uh we uh had a nice pass to
while we were at break between Mason Rudolph and Pat
Fryarmouth that kind of kind of wrapped up the team
period camp. He has had camps. Rudolph Saturday's camp and
I'm man, I'm I mean, I was confident in him
as the Steelers backup coming into this thing, but I

(35:06):
think even even a little bit more so after this camp.
And yeah, I saw on Saturday night.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Saturday night, I think that's fresh on your mind, and
that's great to see him running with the ones and
looking very comfortable as if he totally belonged. And to me,
that's a plus backup in the is League, there's a
lot of worse number two's out there, and I think
this team would be in decent shape if he had
to man the ship for a while. Yeah, Yeah, and

(35:32):
he might be the opening day starter next year. Very
pursued and I were talking about that a lot on Saturday,
that if the plan is like I think it is,
to Rogers does one year and retires, as he's mentioned,
who knows. I'm sure the door will be open if
they win the Super Bowl or something that he could
come back. Sure, And Howard's in the mixes A two
and the Rudolph's under contract, and you draft a guy

(35:54):
in the first round, even if it's a really high pick,
there's a real good chance Rudolph would be your opening
day starter. And you don't rush that first round pick
in either, you know, one.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Hundred undred percent especially Yeah, I mean, and we've seen
that formula work out well, I know, yeah for for
a lot of you know, hey, there are the the
Joe Burrow examples right where you just kind of threw
the guy out the air into the fire and he
was able to not only survive but thrive. But then
there's also you know, plenty of Patrick Mahomes types examples

(36:25):
where guys sat and learned and had time to wait.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
And then there's the Richardson's and Lances that probably should have.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Yeah, even Aaron Rodgers was brought Jordan Love, you know,
and then yeah, and then you have you know, you
have guys who end up, you know, like halfway through
their rookie season and things like that that works out well.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Inevitably, the first round pick is gonna get on the field,
and you know that.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, absolutely, But at the same time, there is a
delicate balance of giving these guys time and letting them,
letting them develop. And I think you're right. I think
there's at least a fifty to fifty chance that Mason
Rudolph could start Week one for the Steelers of twenty
twenty six.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
I think the way Pursuda mentioned it said was, if
I had to bet on one person right now, who
is the Steelers starter, and you don't have to pick
who they were going to draft, if one of the
categories his first round pick, dude, whoever that is, I
think I would bet on Rudolph. Yeah, you know, like,
who's the best bet to be this starter one year
from now at least that first game. Probably Rudolph, which

(37:30):
is why the said know a two year deal exactly.
This is not an accident, folks, you know, no, it's not.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
There is a plan there. Yeah, I think I think
at times in the past, Matt, it was fair to
say that it was hard to see the forest through
the trees.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
But I think I'll get it.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
I think over the last year it's very clear what
the plan has been.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
And it's been one of my biggest pet peeves, and
I almost make a joke of it anymore. But so
many people and even some of my buddies you were
going right right that are super knowledgeable fans, you know,
and really know the game. Well, man, I just don't
see the plan. I'm like, I don't believe. I can't
understand how you don't see the plan. I mean, I
know I do this for a living, and I try

(38:07):
to tell people to plan, and then after you do,
they're like, oh, that makes sense. But every piece of
it is all set up to win today and prepare
for that quarterback tomorrow. You have to look at every
move they make that way, which is hard to do.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Hard to do, yeah, but we have seen some teams
successfully do it.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yeah heck.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
I mean that the Chiefs and the Bills were doing
that before they got They both.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
Traded out to get their guy, and they didn't trade.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
The division champions right to go get a.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Quarterback and you don't have to trade to one. I mean,
like people think, well, boy, this is how they ever
going to get the first overall. I'm like, you don't
have to get the first overall if it's if it's
a right draft. Look at the best quarterbacks in the league.
I mean, other than Borrow, none of them are the
first overall pick. Like when we go through this quarterback here.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Not even the first quarterback taken in their draft, right.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
I mean some of the most successful guys we remember,
I mean Ben Rogers, Lamar Alan Mahomes, they're all first rounders.
I'm not saying just wait the third. You get anybody
you want, but you don't have to get to one
or even in the top five necessarily to find a
superstar quarterback.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Completely with you. I was doing a late show with
ten Bens last week and got into that point with them,
how about how like you don't have to tank to
get a future quarterback? And he was like, well, what
do you mean? And I was like, look at all
the examples around the league, look at who the best quarterback.
Make your list of your top ten quarterbacks in the
NFL right now, and where they went. And Joe Burrow

(39:32):
I think is the only one who went first overall.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
Yes, I'm sure he is, and I mean there's Summer.
I mean Daniels.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
I was just gonna say Jaden Daniels was a two.
C J. Stroud was a two, Herbert went four or five.

Speaker 3 (39:43):
You're not going to the flip side of that. And
I know you're aware of this, but there's a ton
of day I think if you go back to the
two thousand, if you're drafted basically by a playoff team
twenty to thirty two, it's really bad. It's like Lamar
and it's Lamar and Rodgers. Lamar and Rodgers they're the
only two were a success. There's a lot of pickets
in there, and you know, like it doesn't bode well

(40:04):
for like Jackson Dart. You know, like the hit rate,
because usually if you're good enough, you're going in the
top ten, go into a non playoff team or a
playoff team traded up for you, and you're definitely a
top fifteen, definitely a top twenty pick. But if you're
twenty to thirty two, and Lamar and Rogers were really
weird examples. I mean, he sat behind far forever for

(40:28):
like three years and Lamar I frankly think there was
just a bit of racism involved. I mean like people
were talking about, oh, he should be a wide receiver,
Like did you I just find he won the He won? Mean,
he was my number one quarterback, right, he was a
superstar from the pocket in a pro style offense.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
Yeah. With Bobby Patrino right over NFL head coach.

Speaker 3 (40:48):
Yeah, and the Ravens are the one smart to say,
what on earth is going on here? We're just gonna
grab it, but we're not letting this guy go the.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Second day and he was another example what took over
for Flacco with the bye week, so had a little, right,
little extra time.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
And there was a package though, like he'd play like
eight snaps a game or you know, trot out there
and Flacco line up a wide receiver. You know, like, wow,
we gotta get this guy in the field. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Absolutely, But he.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
Never should have fallen. And it wasn't that long ago.
But if Lamar Jackson comes out in this draft, he's
the first pick in the no doubt.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Yeah, without a doubt, without.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
A doubt, we have more one on one skeleton.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Little not quite seven on seven, but close as.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
It's funny they call it seven on seven, but it's
not seven verse seven.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
No, it's not a lot of times. It's like five
on set right now, six.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
And all the eligibles and a quarterback's no offensive lineman.
That's six.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
I can do the math on that one. Yeah, yeah,
six for the offense, seven for the defense.

Speaker 3 (41:48):
And two of the defensive guys on doing it.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Two of the defensive guys stand there right edge rusher
slash kind of blocking dummy.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
It's really just a no lineman drill, is what it's
your be called. It's not seven verse seven.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Exactly right, exactly right as Yeah, we'll see aaron.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
Six or six. It's two linebackers, four defensive backs. The
two edge guys don't do it.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
If yeah, if you don't count the edge guys, that
makes sense.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
Actually no, yeah, because they usually to stand there.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Or are they gonna have TJ. Watt drop back into coverage.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
Well, in this case, they are gonna d I guess
that's why they're out there. Is if you get the
right defense, the edge, the edge guys bounces out.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
Which we have seen TJ do plenty of times before.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
So not that's not insane, right.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
Patrick Queen breaking up one intended for Kenneth Gainwell, there's
some highlighter, bright green shoes on Patrick Queen. You get
too close to those things without sunglasses, you might have some.

Speaker 3 (42:43):
Retinat Yeah, that is definitely noticeable.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
They're like, uh, I don't know, Like the green Goblin
and the Grinch made their way onto some highlighter shoes.
It's a good way to stand out. So you'll laugh
at this quick little story for you. Hold on, let's
go through this. Aaron Rodgers rep here first. I'll give
you this quick little story before we go to break.
It'll make you laugh. As Cam Hayward moves from left
to right and then back to the left. Rogers quickly

(43:08):
down the sideline to Metcalf and good job by Joey
Porter Junior to get a hand in there at the
last minute to close that one down.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
Really see Porter's length there, Oh yeah, and gets his
head around, takes a couple of strides catch up.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
I think he's in line for a big year. All
the changes they've made on defense are really going to
benefit him. They he had been doing some square peg
round hoole stuff in the past a little bit, a
little bit, and now he's going to be square peg,
square hole, round peg, round hole, which I think is.

Speaker 3 (43:37):
Think he's going to follow number ones nearly as much either,
just because you don't have to be that.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Guy exactly right, exactly right. Okay, one more Rogers rep
here and then I'll give you my funny funny sports
equipment multi colored sports equipment story. Rogers will bring Pat
Fryarmouth in motion here and he it's the SNAM looking
across the middle of the field. He's got DK dragon.

(44:03):
He throws at the DK for a short pickup.

Speaker 3 (44:06):
I think those those horzonal routes dragging across the field
against linebackers.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
Second team will check in on both sides of the ball,
all right, before we go to break real quick. Here's
my funny story for you. That Pat Queen's bright highlighter
green shoes made me think of. You know this. I
grew up playing hot I mean I played football as
well too, and hockey was my sport. Though I stopped
playing football after ninth grade because I was much better
at hockey. And but hockey with yeah, hockey was my sport.

(44:34):
I convinced my parents when I was a kid. They're
like the hot hockey stick that everybody wanted. Was called
the Easton entergy okay, and it was at the time,
you know, like one hundred bucks, hundred and twenty bucks expensive.
I mean, now they're like three hundred dollars, you know
what I mean. It's insane, But at that time, great
flex and you know, all that made out of the
best fiberglass. And oh, mom and Dad, the slap shots

(44:57):
that I could take with that thing, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
But the blades are replaced able, right If blades blades.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Can be can be replaced. Yep, you have to kind
of saw off the end and re you've got it
and all that stuff. But yes, uh so I really
wanted an Eastern Eastern senergy. They were bright yellow. That
was kind of like that, you know what I mean,
Like these bright yellow hockey stick they're pretty.

Speaker 3 (45:16):
Much the whole worlds centergy.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
If you right, and you might get chirped for like
being a cake eater, like all your parents must be rich.
But then again, most of the kids who were playing hockey,
like their parents had some money to spend on hockey.
It's not a cheap sport certainly, so this bright yellow
Eastern centergy stick that I wanted for Christmas. The way
that I got my parents to buy it for me
was going through my mom. Okay, because my mom used

(45:39):
to always complain that. She used to always complain like,
when you guys are out there and you're in the
corners and you're in front of the net, it's hard
to tell you all apart, you know, like you all
got the same black helmets and silver cages and jerseys,
you know. So I convinced her. I said, Mom, if
you get me this bright yellow stick, you'll be able
to see everywhere that I am on the ice.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
I'll never be bay this awesome sticking out there, right.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
So that's how I convinced my parents for Christmas one
year to get me the Easton s Energy because I
went to a good approach and I was like, Mom,
this will make me stand out out there. You'll never
have to wonder which one is me again. And there
was some truth in that, but it also worked to
get the job done. I wonder if Patrick Queen is
doing the same, just so his family members can see
him out there shine. We gotta get to a break.

(46:23):
One more hour to go on the other side would
be the bonus hour. We'll wrap up practice we'll hear
a little bit from Aaron Rodgers. We'll get into some
of your tweets plenty to get to in the final
sixty of the show, West Sheuler Matt Williamson Training Competition
of the Drive here on Steelers Nation Radio on the
Steelers Audio Network.
