Draft House by Tons Appliances, South Hills Auto, Laurel Highlands

(00:28):
Visitors Bureau, Wemax Select Realty, the Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Shop,
and by us Steel.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Rolling along here our number two of the drive on
our final day at our home away from home, our
august abode abode, yes, our very humble abode here at St.
Vincent College, of course. And you know what, Matt, I
think it's the weather very fitting today to kind of

(00:57):
cap this thing. It's a classic hot Laurel Highlands kind
of day out here, eighty nine degrees right now, saying
on my phone, and does feel every bit of it?
You were laughing at me when I got down here
to the press box at I don't know about twenty
minutes before we went on air, I was like all
sweaty and out of breath, just from walking stuff from
my dorm room up to pack my car.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Just coming from lunch I was like, I'm happy. I'm
in the air condition.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Now go hoping down the steps a couple of times,
Karen sheets and pillow and all that kind of stuff
and dehumidifier, and yeah, I'm like, man, it is hot
out here. I'm also wearing a black T shirt.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah it doesn't. I'm mostly packed. I think I have
one more batch to throw in the suv and get
out of town. Yeah, I gotta.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I'm trying to make it home and get dinner in
before I got to do another show tonight. So I
am with you. It'll be the Latrobe five hundred, is
our guys. Yeah, tounching wolves, that what they used to
call it. Gentlemen, start your engines. Although I guess for
these guys the Latrobe five hundred won't be until tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
But good point.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
We'll get it. We'll get it a little bit earlier,
certainly than the guys.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Here.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Looks like we're gonna have a little team period action here.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Let's let's see what we get into red zone.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
It looks like, okay, now this is back there. They
coming out the way. Okay, looks like Ramsey deeping their
own end like on the eight or nine or ten's
right in that neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
We're gonna get Ramsey and as you know, very important
to report here, Matt. It looks like Deshaun Elliott and
Jayalen Ramsey have their own super secret handshake that they
were just they were just practicing in the in the
secondary there, Uh, Joey Porter Junior out there as well.
It'll be Watt and Herbic on the edges. You got

(02:37):
louder Milk and trying to see looks like Laddermilk, Benton.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Benton, And I can't tell. Is that Harmon on the
on the on the left there, I think that's yeah,
it looks like his body type.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Uh, Sleigh and Porter at the boundary.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Louderman's getting a little more action when higher up the
depth chart because the can being out a lot of yeah, a.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Lot of spin. And it looks like Ramsey is lining up.
This is a true base look for the Steelers defense,
and Ramsey will be lining up in safety here. It
looks like with the Shawn Elliott.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, like you said, there's four defensive backs on the
field and it's Porter, Sleigh, Elliott.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
And when they have four defensive backs on the field,
I think this is what we will see.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I wasn't sure early in camp, but I do think
he's going to be the MINKA.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I mean the centerfielder right now, Jalen Ramsey is is.
The first play will be a run to Jalen Warren
does a good job to free up some space and
man Ramsey comes down. Yeah, didn't tackle him to the ground,
but gave him.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Am game a little get him off his feet.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
And uh, That's that's something I'm excited to see too.
Like I think they're gonna be able to activate their
safeties much more this year.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I think so too, especially they start playing more cover
four and quarter stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Let's let's see your safeties. They don't have to start
every snap moving back. They can trigger downhill at that
run game, which is I think what this defense needs
to get back to doing more of as again, and
Elliott will come down into the box and Ramsey will
be that the MINCA center fielder type. As Aaron Rodgers
is under center, Darnel Washington in motion, they'll play action

(04:10):
this time. Blitz My goodness, did that pocket collapse fast on?
Somebody stepped on Aaron Rodgers foot and he think that
was what he just kind of put the ball down.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Well, wats want to serve the pocket because the right
side just collapsed and he's out there runner out the football.
He must have swiped it off Rogers do I think
he did kind of what he does, all right, t J.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
That's enough, buddy, good stuff. I think he's staying. And
you know what, maybe they just want him and feltanu
to get some get there for a good job again,
Like that's the first time that, you know, in a
few days that we've really seen TJ kind of wreck
a play. Now his work has been has been.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Limited still, but I think the right tackle was really benefited.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I think so too. I completely agreed. Caleb Johnson checks in,
he gets the handoff, nice hole there as he's able
to find. Game would have been a decent game. Yeah,
pay Wilson would have had a chance at him, but
he'd been able to.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Get pass four or five yards out field.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
As I'm liking this today, Man, we're seeing a lot
more from the run game.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Here so far. Yeah, I think they're trying to stress,
you know, moving people to line of scrimmage, hitting the hole.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And one thing I forget where I saw this, but
somebody broke it down. It might have just been like
one of those aggregator accounts on Twitter or something like that.
But Caleb Johnson's runs Saturday in Jacksonville with the first
team offensive line and the second team offensive.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Line were they noticely different.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Noticeably He averaged four yards of carry when the first
team offensive line was out there, and like one point
eight second team offensive So that was a little more encouraging.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, right, that adds up. I thought the second team
O line struggled in the run game but were pretty
good in protection.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I think that's fair. And I thought the second offensive
line unit got stronger as they were out there, Like
I thought the first couple series more terrible, but they
were not great.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
There were some new faces in new places too. They
didn't really have a true center, and you know.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
And I think that I do think they did a
good job of of settling in is as they've.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Made a big liner switch here with the big fellows.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
They sure did.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
And it looks like Pete's gonna be at left guard
again with Cook at left tackle.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
That's that's sharping at center, sharping at center with Ja
and Jones on the right side. I'll be interested to
see if we see nestor get any work at center
today because he got a little yesterday and then after
practice him and Skyler Thompson were working on center quarterback
exchanges for twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, so that's I mean, look at it like, what if, yeah,
if McCollum doesn't play, I'm talking about preseason, yeah, and
what if Sharping gets banged up?

Speaker 2 (06:39):
If you yeah, but if you get to the end
of the month and Fraser's your only healthy center, you.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Know, like, yeah, you need to cross train some of
these guys. Absolutely who can snap?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
You know, absolutely do And I think I had shared
this with you before. But during his time at Virginia
Tech and then WU I think Nester played every position
but center.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
I was gonna ask did he have any center background
that you know?

Speaker 2 (06:59):
No, he did not Virginia Tech and obviously got at
WVU because Fraser was there had that position after two
games into his freshman year.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Was maybe emergency cross train in traffic or in practice
here and there.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Most of it, it's possible when he was because he
did his freshman year at Virginia Tech before transferring to WVU,
It's possible he might have done some stuff, but he
was the starting right guard for Virginia Tech his freshman year,
I believe.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Before transferring back to it mostly guard at w B.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
He played mostly guard at WV. He'd kick out the
tackle like there was a couple of games where Wu
had an injury at tackle and he would be the
one who would kick out. But mostly mostly guarded. That's why.
And I know I told you this. Zach's senior year
and Doug's their senior year. WVU led the country averaging
like two hundred and twenty eight rush yards per game,
and it was running behind those two. They had one

(07:51):
of the worst Power five rushing attacks they were averaging. Oh,
nice interception there by Cole Holcom picking it off his shoelaces,
baby and running it back.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
It was really good. But that one got away from Mason.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
That one did get away from Mason and he boots
the ball in the air to celebrate after his forever
after his pick six. Nice play there by Cole Holkom.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
There was a real nice play. But yeah, I would
down load to grab it off his shoelaces.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Before before Fraser and Nester got the campus, averaging like
eighty eight rush yards per game, one of the worst
in Power five to the best in Power five nearly
two hundred and thirty.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
And it wasn't like there was a superstar running back.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Yeah, no, absolutely not, Letty Brown was. It was a
decent player who had a cup of coffee with but
none of them were like early draft, right I no, no,
absolutely not. Yeah, it's not like they had an Ashton
gent right, not even a you know, a Jalen Warren
or who was you know, a good, good college running
back at Oklahoma State as Trey Sermon.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Now that's got swallowed up pretty quick.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Gets the feed from an Oklahoma State guy in his
own right, Mason Rudolph as Yes, that same same offensive
line combination that we just laid out.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
I think that's basically the second line at this point,
like tomorrow and Saturday. I think when when line two
comes out, unless McCollum comes back, right, which I haven't
heard any indication.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
He's set to be, I think you're I think at
this point that's.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Sharpen at center.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
That's a fair assumption. Thompson will check in now at
quarterback as Connor Hayward will go in motion from left
to right under center is Thompson. He pitches this one
out to Trey Sermon, I.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Believe outside zone looked like it was blocked up pretty well.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
It did look like it was blocked pretty well. What
have been a nice, nice game.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
There a lot of pre snap motion with tight ends
all camp.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
All camp, and that's something we saw change in the balance,
and that's something that we saw to last year, certainly,
but I think even more so.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Yeah, it's rare for a play not to have pre
snap motion almost always with a time well I'm not always,
but film with the tight end.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
As Thompson will step back into huddle here, they're continuing
to work on backed up you know, shadow of their
end zone, own ten yard line stuff here kind of
now they have them set up in like a second
and four as we'll have some motion again here and

(10:26):
under center is Thompson. He'll fake the handoff, dumps it
off to Darnell Washington.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Or rumbling, bumbling, stumbling.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
No one's tackling him, nobody wants to, nobody wants to
get in his That's.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
A play we saw so often last year where boot
or play action boot roll right, he leaks out Washington
for about a four yard game and then who knows
after that? I mean it's a pretty easy completion. Like
you mentioned, that was second and four. I think they
were just looking at the first down, would have accomplished that,
and then the challenge of well he started rumbling on

(10:57):
the sideline, somebody's gonna have to push him out of bounds.
We get them on the ground, you know. But we've
seen a much more expanded role than just that. But
I'm sure people remember a lot of his catches came
on that play last year.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yes, and that's something he did well. It's something they
did well now like him more and more.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
And I know I had the stat for you a
few days ago and we talked about this, but he
had nineteen receptions, did Darnel Washington last season, and nine
of them so almost half were for first.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Down, first out, and that was like that would have
been second and four, he easily would have picked up five. Yes,
plus yes as special teams.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Let's see here, Matt. I think I've got some unfortunate
news to share with you.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Now I don't see Aaron Rodgers over there with the
quarterbacks after getting his footstepped on. Oh and there are
reports that he was just getting some ice and seeing
a trainer I don't see.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
You'd hope if you available for the joint practice, you.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Would certainly hope that that is the case. And hopefully
it's just, you know, just a little stinger, something.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Weird's super uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
It's got to be. I mean, listen, anyone who's ever
played sports and you get stepped on with a pair
of cleats, like, whether you played football, whether you played baseball,
whether you played soccer, you get stepped on cleats. It
does not feel good, especially from a big human being
like TJ. Watt.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
So he is not off that play. It was off
that plot destroyed the pocket.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
And yes, and I'm looking for him.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
They gotta stay a little I mean, I'm sure the
coaches aren't thrilled. You got it. No matter what, you
gotta stay away from the quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Stay away from the quarterbacks. It looks like he's got
like a little wrap on his ankle according to some pictures. Here.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Where's he at? I'm looking for him. You haven't seen it.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
I do not see him because all the quarterbacks are
over there.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
I see Mason sitting on a bench.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
That's what I'm thinking is he's probably sitting down over.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
There, ice on it or something.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
With exactly right as it looks. Let's see he's got it.
I'm seeing all the pictures here of him out there
with ice on his on his leg, slash ankle. We
just don't see him anywhere right now. There is seem
he's starting to walk across the field. Now he's going back.
He has the wrap off, which is good. Yeah, got
the ice off of his foot. He is walking a

(13:11):
little gingerly, but still has his helmet in his hand.
He's not leaving, as we always have said, kind of
the big indicators. If they leave practice, that's a massive right, right,
If they leave practice.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Means immediate attention or expert or whatever.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Doesn't always mean it's terrible, but means it's at least
something that they're being concerned about. Yeah, and remember we
talked about that yesterday with Slagh. That was the good
news with Sleigh yesterday was he stayed out there and
had some ice on his foot.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
And kinda is like the same field, kind of has
kind of walking on it, kind of slow and gingerly,
but he's with his teammates and yeah, you know, has
helmet in hand.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
And again, if they thought there was any reason to
cart him back up to the locker room.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
They would absolutely do it.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
So some good news there.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
I think. Keep an eye on the rest of press.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
He will keep an eye on the rest of practice,
and like you mentioned, hopefully especially that he is that
he is available to go Thursday in that joint practice
against the Bucks. Yeah, big big one on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
I'm sure he wasn't playing either way on Saturday, but
I would like to see him against the box for sure.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I think we're on the same page there. And I'm
laughing now, Matt, because I've joked with you about this before.
How like there's times throughout camp that every single reporter
sends out the same exact tweet and pictures, like on
the days where the bad weather rolls in, like they
all the same picture storm clouds coming in over the monastery.
You see a dozen people tweet it. When now they're
all twitter blowing up, all tweeting pictures. Picture of Rogers

(14:29):
with his his Uh okay, so it looks like he
got a cut on his shin and put a rap
and a little bit of ice on it. So maybe
it was just to stop the bleeding or something.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
You know, like that, maybe a cleat went like sliding
down a shin I'm sure hurts, and we're all we're
probably like, oh good, Yeah, that's nothing bad. But that
didn't happen to me. It hurts big, But I doubt
that'll keep him from playing any you know, for an
extended stretch. If it's basically just a cut.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
I think you are correct. Is those things, those those
things sting, those things hurt.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
I'm sure it hurts.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Not the end of the world. As he is again
still out there, and it looks like now he's got
his helmet on and he's even going to go through
some some quarterback drills here.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Now, yeah, I think he's very Yeah, he's helmets on.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
He just threw.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
He lifted the leg like he was bugging him after
he threw off it. But I mean, I'm sure it was.
I'm sure it was. I mean, like, but how many
times something like that happened to a game and you
know you don't even miss play a couple of times
a year, Yeah, I would imagine quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Yeah, but good news. Helmet back on, he's going through
some some passing drills with the quarterbacks over there, So
crisis averted here.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Heavy punt block going on in the deep deep you know.
Oh yeah, they got punting from like the one yard
line move. Yeah. They practiced this a lot, which is
smart because it can't go wrong. It goes wrong, it
goes wrong bad, real bad. Yeah, And you know this
was this was and they pract it both ways. I mean,
they're one of the best punt block teams in the league.
And if you can get one down there, I mean it's.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Points, always points. Ye as, it'll be weightman's turn now
and hey reminds me of I know, Chris Boswell isn't
the one stepping up to kick. He's just hanging He's
just hanging out in the back of the end zone
and his jersey in a ball cap right now.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
A lot of pressure there.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
But this was that was like the same situation that
that Boswell had to had to get a pun off
in the season opener down in Atlanta last year.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
No shocker, Killer Brew was the one that really puts
some heat on him.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Man, he is so good at that. It's incredible too,
because it's one of those things, like we talk about,
I think one of the most impressive things in sports
is when everybody knows what's coming and they still can't
stop it. Yeah, you know, you know the schemes fastball,
but you still can't hit it. Like you know, Alex

(16:41):
ve stands in the same spot and right, you can't
stop him. You know, you know exactly what he's doing.
You still can't stop him. Man Miles killerbrew Is. Everyone
knows that he is just an ace at this and
they he still finds ways to get free.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
As Cam Johnson's the one that I was actual sort
of a part of was I've said it on these
airways a ton like we could have put up on
the then Hinsfield scoreboard. We're throwing Larry and just truck
that thing up and he's coming down with it off
and against pac Man Jones.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, you know what, that's funny though, because Larry Fitzgerald
never beat w he was in school. Thanks for giving
me a chance to dunk.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
That one home. Appreciate the alley there and Larry, Yeah,
put two and two together on that were that hangtime
on that.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
There were a lot of There were a lot of
fun players on in the backyard Brawl in that early
twenty five century stretched there.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
I mentioned that pit team we played against the Heath
Miller Virginia team. We had like eleven guys drafted off
that team. Larry was the first one, of course, but
there was a bunch of them that were ended up
having decent careers. Yeah, and you know the Loopolite and
Chante Spencer and Cory Cox.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah, yeah, that was no those those those era. I mean, listen,
the backyard Brawl is always fun. It's one of the
great rivalries in collegiate athletics, I think, in all of sports.
I'm obviously a little biased, but I think a lot
of people in this region would agree with me as
well too, especially when it went away for.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
You know, eleven twelve years, right, it was best.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
But yeah, there was some really fun you know, Larry
Fitzgerald and Chris Henry Henry and yeah, a lot of fun.
A lot of fun personalities as well too amongst the
coaching staff, and you know. So yeah, it's it's good.
Good to have a back and hey about about a
month from now, actually the BRA will be happening thirty
one days from now, down and down in Morgantown.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
I think for that last one, Steelers linebacker coach Scott
mccury and I were both graduate assistants together that last one. Yeah,
he was the defensive and I was the recruiting.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
You got a connection with everybody.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Man, I tell you he was a player for us,
and then he quickly turned into a GA now highly
accomplished NFL coach.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
It's all. That's where it starts for all these guys, right,
Mike Tomlin, it was Bill Stewart, the old WVU coach
who gave Tomlin his first coaching gig when Bill Stewart
was at vm I before before WVU, and Tomlins told
the story, there's a really cool like NFL special when
because you know, Bill Stewart was at vm I, gave
Tomlin his first job, and then Bill Stewart goes on

(19:17):
to become the head coach at WVU. Mike Tomlin, the
head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bill's son, Blaine Stewart, then,
you know who's with the Steelers for a long time,
got his first coaching job from Mike Tomlin, and he
is now he is now speaking of joint practices in
this weekend. He's now the tight ends coach for the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Blaine Stewart is okay, so that that
whole lot of stuff. But like Mike, there's pictures of

(19:38):
like Mike Tomlin holding baby Blaine Stewart, like you know
when he's like twenty two working his first GA job.
That's interesting, it is there's always a connection with these
guys and that's the whole like football is family thing, man,
it really is. Like all these guys are so and
we see that with Max. You can't go anywhere with
just here. We go to Indianapolis, every every block of

(20:00):
the street, somebody does also stick out like a sore thumb.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
We're over due first real quick. Like Walt Harris was
the head coach that hired me and was the three
years I was there, but like, hell, you wouldn't even
think about it. But he gave John Gruden his first job.
He gave Pete Carroll his first job. Wow. Yeah, Brendan Carroll,
his son was a walk on tight end with us.
I think he's coaching, you know right.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
That is awesome? Hey, that's all. That's all these got much,
you know, much like a lot of these guys with
their stories of like trying to get like Jayleen Warren
his senior year he went to a small high school
in Utah. Jalen Warren, Yeah, shattered Utah rushing records, but
had no offers from anywhere, had to start at some
small junior college. Then he went to Utah State, then
he finally finished it at Oklahoma State. But that's how

(20:42):
it is for a lot of these players. That's how
it certainly is for a lot of these coaches as
well too.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Dale did a real in depth feature article on Jalen
Warren and yeah, probably over a year ago. It seems
like a year ago is probably two after he was
like accomplished and made the team and his backgrounds pretty crazy,
but he was, you know, he was a super highly
regarded high school back, but just because as you mentioned,
didn't get the same attention, you know.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Like rushed for over three thousand yards his senior year.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Yeah, that's dominant players. There's quotes in there from his
high school coach about how incredible he was, and right, yep,
it's like, why is anybody on this guy?

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Hey? Sometimes you just sometimes those diamonds in the rough
are laying out there. Yeah, both on the field and
on the sidelines. In terms of the coaching staff, looks
like special teams period is wrapping up. We'll get back
into some of.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
The area team pgs out there when we return.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
As we roll along here on another busy day on campus,
the final day of our training camp coverage here in
La trobe what Shuler Matt Williamson. It is the Drive
on Steelers Nation Radio on the Steelers Audio.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Network Iheartradios live coverage of about twenty twenty five Steelers
training camp. He's presented by Faedex where now meets next
and also brought to you by CGR Wholesale Roofing and
Siding Supply Center, Tons Appliances by Always Safe, Flagging and

(22:03):
Traffic Control by Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, by Schneider Downs,
by Hassa's Steak and Seahouse, by your Neighborhood Forward Store,
by Castle Rock, by clear View Federal Credit Union, and
by US steel.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Team period undergoing in front of us as we got
some things to update everybody, a couple of things. Aaron
Rodgers back in for team period. That's the good news.
Looks like he has a small rap on his calf
on a ship on his calf is probably the best
way to describe it, and has looked a little off.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Since that wasn't the best showing since he came back Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Through an interception to Pierre. Nice play by Pierre to
be fair with a kind of fifty to fifty that
ball with with with Wilson. But the good news Rogers
out there and participating his first road.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
He didn't look like he really stepped into it either,
kind of muscled it with his upper body and got
away from him. It was all some good pass rush.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Good pass rush by TJ. But I will say, uh, man,
I think another solid day for Roger Jones out here.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Yeah, he is not a notice stood out in a
negative manner at all.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
He certainly is not.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
And nice one air to catch her bike Hayward.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
He's been working mostly against her big today. I think
he's been doing doing a solid jobs.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
You doing a solid job.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yeah, nice one handed snag there by Connor Hayward. Uh
we we've gotten a couple of tweets about Aaron Rodgers.
He has his calf shin area taped, not his ankle,
and he is still out there, not leaving practice.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
So not a whole lot to worry about it.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
So I don't think a whole lot to worry about it. Again,
if they if they thought it was anything potentially you know,
more than just a little ding he would, he would
be up in the locker room getting looked at. Wouldn't
have been back.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
In participating fully. You could see it's bothering him. Just
a body language that certainly something.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Will keep an eye on. Yeah, hopefully just a you know,
a stinger for today.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
And hasn't been a great period for the offense.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
It has not been a great team period, this one
for the offense. After a successful start to practice, I
thought for them.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Yeah, pass rush seems to be pushing people around and
a lot of people in quarterbacks faces and a lot
of inaccurate throws and not a real sharp offensive performance
at all.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Yeah, I certainly think that that that is accurate. As
we've got the two's in there now, we're seeing Darryl
Porter continue to get more spin out here as well.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Yeah, he plays a lot, he certainly has, so.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Certain that'll be something to keep an eye on, see
if maybe his role expands Saturday against Tampa. As now
Skyler Thompson will check in for the offense. Arthur Smith
something he didn't like, Arthur Smith blowing that one dead
and calling the offense back to the huddle.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Number one O line just kind of strolling down sideline here,
you know, if they're preparing for something on the far
on the right side of us, or what's going on there.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Yeah, Broderick having a conversation with Tara Austin right in
front of us. Broderick is one of those guys, man,
Like I feel like everybody in the organization has a
good relationship with him, probably to say that the most
concise way. But when he's down there on the field,
he taught, he's talking to all the coaches. Yeah, when

(25:19):
he's in the cafeteria, yes, yeah, like he I think
gets along with with everybody, which is, uh, it's import
it's important. I think he cares about you know what
I mean. And again, most of these guys, you don't
make it to the National Football League without caring.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
But he's gone out there with some injuries as well
since he's been a Steeler.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
And you know, he seems to be in the right
head space here heading into a big season for him
without a doubt, as I'm.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Really rooting for him for for himself as well as
the team needs them in a big way.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah, hundred percent. And I think you and I might
have talked about this, like the first one of those
first acclamation period practices three weeks ago when things were
really just getting going out here. It's big for him
obviously with his with his fifth year decision you know,
looming at the end of this upcoming season. It's also
massive for the Steelers. Too huge for the team to
not have to go into next year's draft needing to

(26:13):
draft another tackle.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
That would be a setback. I mean, you don't want
to use your assets on that position. After using two
mid first round picks there, you would hope that that
even if they're not the best two tackles in the league,
that you just wouldn't could at least eliminate those needs.
And I'm not saying that they're not going to I
think there's a very good chance that Broder Jones gets
an extension. You know, who knows, But this is a

(26:36):
pivotal time for him and it would disrupt the overall
timeline if you had to go shopping for a left tackle.
And he's going to be a Steeler next year no
matter what. But whether the fifth year gets picked up
is to be decided. And it's not cheap.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
It's not cheap, no, And as you and I have discussed,
like we've talked a lot about about that plan right then.
That feels like it's been it's been become very clear
for the Steelers over the last few months. If you
want to be a rest of next year and go
and identify your next franchise quarterback and go get them,
you man a lot of those assets, a lot of
that capital. You can't be going to hunt for a

(27:09):
tackle and a quarterback at the same time.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
The problem is, I mean, the reality is, if you
need a tackle, you almost have to set aside a
first round pick to go do it totally. And you
just don't have that if that's going to a quarterback,
or if two of them is going to a quarterback
or whatever. I think there's a really good chance that
the twenty twenty six first and the twenty twenty seven

(27:32):
first end up going somewhere for a quarterback. Well, then
how do you get the tackle? You know? So, I
a two guys are possible, but it's the percentages aren't great.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
It's like, right after quarterback, the next position you would
probably list that like, I have to get this guy
in the first round is tackle.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
And you know I was laying this out earlier because
Kinger and Max were asking me about this on in
the locker room. So okay, if you kind of want
a blueprint the Kansas City Chiefs when they went up
to get Patrick Mahomes, yes they were picking twenty seventh.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
They originally won the playoffs that year.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yes they were twelve and four, you know, won their division,
but we're still unable to get over that hump with
with Alex Smith. And like it sounds funny to say now,
but the entire NFL and Kansas City message that offseason
was this is just Andy Reid. He just can't wait,
you know, happened to him in Philadelphia.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Just can't win the back one'll he'll win the division titles.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
He'll get you the playoffs. Like and then they started
that next season with Patrick Mahomes like seven and five
before they ended up in the AFC Championship Game, And
there was a lot of like Motes and I were
laughing about this. The year later, like in November of
what would it have been, twenty nineteen, there were like
articles everywhere in Kansas City about fire and Andy Reid. Oh,
I know, and then and then you know, and then

(28:49):
two months later they were in the AFC Championship Game.
And now they've you know, been to what five or
six straight AFC championship games or super Bowls.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
And his legacy in Philly, as you know, was really good.
Code you can't win the big one, but he had
like Bobby Hole, I mean, McNabb was the only guy
who's even close to being a good quarterback Kevin Cobb
and Hoying and those type of dudes too, you know, yes,
And he got the most out of Alex Smith that
year before I mean, definitely Smith's best year before my
home shows up. Absolutely, Then you give them my homes
and we've seen what happens from there.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
And so from twenty seventh to tenth, they moved in
that in that oh okay, and it took them two
first round.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Picks, yeah, I know, there wasn't an extreme and a
third round and a third okay. So like if you want,
if they win a playoff.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Game this year, similar type of blueprint picking in the
twenty five, the twenty eight to twenty nine range and
whatever twenty five to twenty seven range there it.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Could get a pretty darn good season, which means you
had a.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Good season, you want a playoff game. You've got that
nest built up like we're talking about. Yeah, great, you
want to go get your quarterback. That's about what it's
going to cost too.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
That's about the going right too.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
First rounders in it, and little something sprinkled in a
little you know, probably a late day two pick something
like that.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
And as we've become too familiar with they pretty much
picked like twenty twenty first the last few years. That
would obviously be a lot cheaper. You could probably get
the seven or eight with that price.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
With the same price, yes, but so again, though you
have the assets to do that now, but without needing
to go get a tackle right in the first round
of the draft.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Yeah, they've put so much invested in the lines so
that they don't have those needs when it is quarterback time.
You don't want to reinvent a new need.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
I think that is the perfect way to say it.
As a little bit better from Aaron Rodgers in some
of these reps that we just saw.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Yeah, definitely we should kind of ignore that as it.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Looked like before that I meant to point this out
to you too. Right before they started this portion of
team period, it looked like pat Freyremouth had some animated
words for the offense about how they need to pick
it up a little bit out there.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
I noticed that as well, and Rogers did a little bit.
I didn't know if he was mad at himself or
if he was mad at the team. And it was
probably a little bit of pain. But that last period
when they were to our left, he wasn't thrilled with
what was going on out there, whether it was on
him or whatever. But you know, and the offense has
been stumbling a little bit.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah uh John new Smith. By the way, update from
Mike the FABO of the Athletics saying he's being categorized
as out with knee soreness in today's practice.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
John, Yes, okay, yes, okay, just coming eighty across the timeline.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Here is man, I tell you what.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Through over Holcomb's head barely not many Titans League would
even reach that one. And he he hauled it in
basically with one hand, kind of bobbling it. But the
bobbling makes it sound like it was poor on him,
but it wasn't. It was controlling the ball. I mean, man,
He's I wonderful really, So.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
I wonder what his over under for receptions on this
season is in Vegas right now? I know I might
be interested in an action.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
We'll We've talked through that a lot, and I keep thinking, man,
I might have been a little light.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Three a game would get him fifty one targets on
the season.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I think he's three or four targets a game. I mean,
if if it wasn't for the John new Smith trade,
I might be like he's a five five you know. Yeah, yeah,
because they are definitely trying to feature him. They certainly are,
and a lot of its red zone and like you said,
a lot of its first down movers. But he's also
like stretching the scene.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Third and short scenario there in a tough run by
Caleb John A part of me Kenneth Gainwell to pick
up a few yards here as it looks like the
second team defense will slide out for some third teamers here.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
As looks like that number two line, but not with Pete.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Okay, yeah, he is on the sideline. Yeah, you are correct.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
He kind of shuffles in and out a little bit
different pace than the other lineman. Cooks the left house.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
I was gonna say, still looks like Cook Nester Sharp,
who's the right Jones is at right tackle, But I
can't tell who the right guard is as Connor Hayward
moves in motion. Here now Mason Rudolf will operate from
the shotgun with Tray Sermon to his right. Good job
by Sermon picking up the blitz. That gives Rudolph some
time to find Max Harliaman for a nice fifteen twelve

(33:03):
yard pick up there on third down.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Looks like Warren is is out there as well. Gareth Warren. Okay,
seventy eight, it is. He's getting a little bit of run.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yep, it is seventy eight. You are correct. It's now Pete.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
He's at right tackle.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Okay, Pete, check him back in.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Now he's at left guard.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Checks out. See.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
I'm not sure what they're gonna do here. I assume
Warren will be tackle. I've only really seen him at tackle. Yeah,
he's at right tackle. Pete is at left guard. Cook,
I assume is a left tackle. Okay, yes, so Pete
has played left guard and left tackle. I'd love to
have a chat with Pat Myers right now the line.
You know, what, what's the logic between the shuffling and

(33:46):
who's standing out and what are you trying to work? Yeah? Yeah,
because it seems like it's a little bit up in
the air, which goes to left guard or the right guard,
you know, back and forth from trying to figure out
who can do what.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, and then maybe that's what they're you know, that's
obviously what he's trying to figure out here as well too.
These are the situations or these are the times when
you want to work on those situations, I should say.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Because you don't want any of these guys starting now.
But it's like, well, who do I want to active
on game day in case this player goes down? And
this player goes down? You know, there's it turns out
like to choose your own adventure book on the old line,
you know, like I have to have an answer if
this guy goes down, then this guy goes down. Then
this guy goes down. Like if disaster strikes, who can

(34:29):
I play where? And at least get me out.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Of the game?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Who can I You know, that's like that was the
beauty of someone like Nate Herbig last year, right, was Yeah,
you knew he could play left guard, right guard, center. Right,
that's the kind of guy that you won on your
bench on game days. Cause huge, as you mentioned, not
just one guy who can fill one role, but what
if this happens, and this happens and we need you
to play here or maybe there? That is massive. That

(34:52):
is massive. Looks like we're moved to a special teams
period here. Now they can have a Ben Sol's attempt
to field goal to to close this and down. Looks
like Cam Johnston will be the holder. Ben Saws. By
the way, Matt the winner of the home run Derby
last night, the annual Yeah you.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Said, that would not have been my I would not
have put a chip down on him.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
I would not have put a chipped out on a kicker.
But good for him.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
I wonder maybe he's got a great baseball back.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
I don't know. I don't either, but half Patrick.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Queen went it last year justin Fields Field Fields and
Wilson went down to the wire.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Fields and Wilson, but Queen was in the mix last
year to yeah, and then so it had been three
straight years of quarterbacks Becausekenny Pickett and won it for
two years in a row. Then justin Fields Ben Saals,
Now kicker Ben Saals comes in.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
And that's a good trivia question to a year from now.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Who won the home run Derby last year?

Speaker 3 (35:42):
That was a battle between the starting quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
What maybe the pitt baseball team needs to borrow some
of these these guys from the pit football team between
Kenny and saw.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Yeah, they got some.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Power hitters out there for the four hole for the
baseball team. Let's get to uh, let's get to break here.
As Special Teams period gets going on, we'll have more
from Prack just here on the final day on campus
at Saint Vincent College. This training camp edition of the
Drive Westcheuler Matt Williamson on Steelers Nation Rap, Steelers Audio.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Network, Iheartradios Live Coverage Job not twenty twenty five Steelers
Training Camp. He's presented by Fadex where Now meets Next
and also brought to you by First National Bank, by
Kalucy Chevrolet, iron Workers Union Number three, by Easy Home

(36:29):
Exteriors by SNT Bank, Wemax Select Realty, by Tom's Appliances,
the Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Shop, by Always Safe Flagging and
Traffic Control, and by us Steel.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Heading down the home stretch Here of training camp at
Saint Vincent College, Latrop, Pennsylvania. Chucknolfield the fifty eighth training
camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Here Matt of course that
two year hiatus because of COVID right where it was
at well now a cer Sure Stadium, men Hinz Field.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
But you said it would have been sixty years straight.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
It would have been sixty the sixtieth straight year if
if if it were not for COVID. But number fifty
eight here.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
For five was their first year.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Sixty five was their first year. Yes, which I believe
is if we look at this thing right here, sixty.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Six sixty six, ok.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Yeah, so home of Steelers training camp, Saint Vincent College
since July of nineteen.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Well that makes sense. Yeah, six, that would be sixty years.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
And as our guys pre yes, as as our guys
Tounching Wolf would always like to say, every single Super
Bowl the Steelers ever won started right here on these
these fields in.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
Front of us. That's true.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Well she was always funny because I would joke with
Wolf like those two years that you know that they were.
I was like, you got you know, if the Steelers
won the Super Bowl, like, you won't be able to
use that use that line anymore. As a special teams period.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
A lot of winning seasons, whole bunch of them, no
doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Uh, as special teams period in the books here, and
it looks like, are we going to maybe get a
final team period.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
To the left, they were doing that punt block drill
where they try to take it right off the punter's foot.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
It looks like the offensive defensive line are going to
the far side fields. So this might be like a
skeleton or a seven on seven type dru.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
I bet they're gonna do good one on one stuff
that I bet they are.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Let's see if we want I was gonna say, let's
see if we can at least get some of these
these first ones with some of the big name guys.
Logan Lee's right in the mix there, as is uh
t J Watt.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
TJ is raving up for I.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Was gonna say, he wants, he wants one.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
He's been busy this practice.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
This I think has been his most I was just
gonna say it's been his active practice of camp, which
is probably making sense. You know, he's probably at the
time where he wants to start ramping it up. And
I imagine we'll get a lot of good work in
on on Thursday. I would think, yeah, as we will
have TJ there without they're without Tristan wurfs too, so
they are. Yes, TJ and Faltan pretty good up there

(39:00):
by didot as well.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
He J got in a little, but I mean I
would say it's a draw a.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Little bit, but yeah, it didn't take that all day long.
Would absolutely run it back. I think they are going
to run it back one more time. Here does TJ
get set? Here they go a good job again.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
One long arm move and still got a little pressure.
But that's really well done by Fultona.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
It certainly is. And he will check out and Stephen
Jones will check in. Is this against the Marvin Leone
now that he's gonna rip McCormick there, McCormick bent.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Maybe I don't think that's Leal, but think it's Bent,
and I think it's Ben. Yeah, I think the Al's
only been playing on the edge las, especially since the
high smooth in.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
You are correct in that one. Those two run it
back and hands definitely won that one.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Certainly. This wat Vers Fatanu thing kind of reminds me.
I know it didn't work out great for the first
round pick, but when they drafted Already Burns in the
first round, that camp was you guard Antonio Brown all
the time? Okay, okay, it didn't go great then, and
it didn't go great for already in his career, but
it's going a lot better for foul on him. So

(40:11):
that's a good example. Hey, first rounder, why don't you
guard Antonio Brown the whole time? The best in the world,
right right?

Speaker 2 (40:17):
A good rep there by Zach Fraser is he will
run it back. I'm trying to see who that is again.
They all got the crop top jerseys going on. A
couple of good reps there for Fraser and now he
will check out as now they will work the left side.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
And I think loud Milk wears the cap. Yeah, the
Guardian cap, the Guardian cap. They're doing two for them
to Yeah, it looks like.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
It looks like they're doing two for all these guys.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
Yeah, Larramo's getting some attention here. It really is higher
up the pecking.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Order, better rep for him on the second time there.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
He's definitely at that career crossroad here, although he was
on my list last year and they gave him a
one year deal that isn't binding though.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Looks like now it'll be herbig against Broderick by Progerck
to stay with him. Yeah, man, Progerick against a guy
like Herbig, who's as shifty as he is. That was impressive.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
That's a really good get off upfield, and Broderick didn't
lose a step. He still pushed him past the pocket.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Yeah. Better better from Herbig on that one, but yeah,
still from Broderick.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
So you'll take both both.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Of those reps absolutely as he could take.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
He kind of got beat to his outside shoulder, but
it was pretty far upfield and he pushed to push
him off his mark a little bit. That's that's not
hard for the quarterback to deal with. I mean, if
you're gonna get beat that way, push him up field.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Let me step up in the pocket by second and
a half.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
I mean you got think if you're that pass rush,
you gotta put you foot in the ground, turned totally around,
get back to the quarterback. That's a big budd to
pre thing. He was big at running past the pocket
before his last.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Year here, and that's man, that just it knocks you
off your mark and.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
You get all you think you want.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
But he really did that extra that extra second second
and a half is an eternity. Yes, you know, especially
for guys like Lamar Jackson all the other very talented
quarterbacks that populate the a f C and the a
f C North. It's Mason Rudolph drops back slings one
to Robert Woods on the near side. Nice throw there,

(42:19):
absolutely covered by jan Thornhill able to close that one down.
And the edge rushers are well at least Leal is
down here on the near side field, as is Sawyer
and they are Cole hulkom So just to give them
a looks yep. Absolutely, as we've got a little little
seven on seven action in front of us here, a

(42:40):
little offense versus defense on the far side there as
uh Doug Nestor going up against. Is this Logan Leo.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
Looks like he often operates out that four point stands.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
He does, and that was actually sharping against.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Moving all over the interior.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
He is, He certainly is. And again that's what trying
to figure out what these guys can do where they
can trust them.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
So he's been in league seven years. I'm sure he
has plenty of experienced at all three of those spots.
But I know he's played a ton of center, but.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
You know, better better rep there from Logan, ly I
think able to able to win that one.

Speaker 3 (43:14):
I didn't know what to think of him playing very
few snaps in the the opener. Yeah, I know, if
that's because they like him and want to hide them,
or just one of the other guys to play, or
they're down on them, a lot of ways to take that.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
I'm interested to see what that looks like for him
Saturday night against Tampa. But you're right, I was a
little surprised by that. I thought he was one of
those guys who you know, didn't get a ton.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Of work last season, right, and I thought he'd make
it a lot of snaps.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Yes, I thought so too, And maybe that's still in
the in the plan. Maybe it was just, you know,
something that I.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
Never would have looked too much into those things.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
But yeah, but they're also this time of year. It's like,
those are the things we had to talk about. Yeah,
I don't want to look too much into it.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
I know it wasn't an accident for whatever. I don't
know the reason, but I know it wasn't an accident.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
Is now, if you look over there, Faltanu and TJ
going through some TA moments off to the side, which
is pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (44:03):
That is pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
That's a good guy to learn from. For Troy Foutanu.
I tell you you can hold your own against that guy,
you can hold your own against anybody. And that's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
They've done a lot of battle this camp they have and.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
They're, like I said, going over some stuff and TJ's
working on them with a couple of things. Pretty cool
to see. As we continue to roll on through this
period of practice, we'll see if maybe we get some
team stuff or what else will be going on here
to close this one down today, as we are heading
into what you think would be the final moments of
this final practice here at Saint Vincent College for this

(44:38):
portion of the Steelers twenty twenty five training camp.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
One more hour on the air from Saint Venning's this year.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
One more hour from campus before we all have to
pack up and go back home and get back to
the regular routine here before too much longer, we will
bring you that final hour. Aaron Rodgers spoke before practice.
We'll have some audio from him.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
I've been loving his interviews me too.

Speaker 2 (44:59):
He's he's he's very he's very thoughtful, like he's it's
a good point. His his answers are are calculated, like yeah,
he doesn't go up there to his interviews and give
cookie cutter responses.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
Like a robot, not one bit.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
And and he's had a lot of a lot of
good stuff to say. Did again today before practice? We
will hear some of that in the final hour of
the show. Get to some of your tweets as well too,
if you want to get those in at Williamson NFL
at Wesley Yuler as we see a deep ball there
on corked for Rock Taylor. Nice nice one there as

(45:35):
the offense, uh making a few plays out here in
front of us in this seven on seven portion. Bonus
hour of the drive coming up on the other side,
West Shuler, Matt Williamson, final hour of our training camp
coverage at Saint Vincent College. It's coming right at you
here on Steelers Nation Radio on the Steelers Audio Network.
