Speaker 1 (00:03):
This is the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt Williamson
on your twenty four to seven home of the Black
and Gold cast in Steelers Nation Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Man, welcome back to the Drive. I'm Dale LOLLI he
is the Matt Williamson and it is mock draft time.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
We're using the Pro Footballnetwork dot Com. All right, mockdrafter,
and our pick is up. And well we have two
trade offers, okay, one from the Lions. Yeah, twenty eight
twenty eight and sixty for twenty one and one fifty six.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Okay, understandable.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
The Dolphins are on the phone. They want to give
us forty eight ninety eight, next year's two, next year's
three for twenty one, and next year a seventh round
pick next year.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Do you do something crazy and do something like that?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
No, I don't because that would never happen in reality. Man,
They're not gonna do third next year. I understand, and
they're gonna stink, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
But we also have.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
To do a mock draft today, I know.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
But we did one yesterday and we're gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
But there's no way on God's green earth I see
them trading all the way back to pick forty eight.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I don't either. I just wonder what the build would
look like.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Like if it were something in the high thirties, I
would consider it, yeah, because I think they might consider
that if you're going to throw in a future too.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
I mean, I would think my first round pick at
that point is like your first pick is Alexander Tyler
Williams or maybe probably worse. Yeah, I mean, so I
get it, but forty eight is way too far back
to go just to do one of them that way.
What it ends up, I don't disagree. And if that
were again, if it were picked thirty eight, yeah, would
(01:44):
consider it. Forty eight. They're not moving back to fourth.
It's pretty crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
So I'm going to reject that one. The Lions at
twenty eight and sixty, I could see that.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
I think that neighborhood's fine, and you're giving up you know,
it's a one and a five one of the two.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Okay, that's realistic.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I don't think that's bad. No, I think you can
maybe even squeeze more out of them.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
I'm gonna just go back and look at what's available here.
Derek Harmon, is there good Malachi Starks safety from Georgia
Tyler Booker, their guard from Alabama, Johad Campbell, linebacker from Alabama.
Josh Simmons offensive tackle from Ohio State, Walter Nolan offensive
tackle or defensive tackle from Ole Miss, Gray's Abel offensive
(02:30):
lineman from North Dakota State. Nick Scourton, edge rusher from
Texas A and m Mecca Buca wide receiver Ohio State.
James Pierce the edge rusher out of Tennessee, Jackson Dart
quarterback from Ole Miss, Omari and Hampton running back from
North Carolina. Tyler Williams is still there, Kenneth Grant is
(02:51):
still there.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
You have to move back. Yeah, I think you take
it then, yeah, yeah, yeah, there's enough options that you
could be quite happy with where you go back. Yeah, okay,
but late second, that's lovely, Yes, absolutely, all right. We
get three trade offers. Now, okay, this this goes to
what you were talking about here. The Giants are offering
thirty four and sixty five for twenty eight and one
(03:14):
to twenty three. I'm interested. I'd like to know what's
still available, what what happened at the tackle group.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
The Texans are offering thirty one and eighty nine for
twenty eight and one five.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
They must have traded back as well. That's guy, say
how did they end up there? But okay, I mean
we could we could have a trade fest today, so.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
G Hud Campbell, Josh Simmons, Gray's Abel, Igbuka, Jackson Dart.
Who I assume that's what the Giants want to come
up and get. I would think yeah, Omarion Hampton, tylerk Williams,
jaln Milroe, Shavon Ravel, Donovan, Azerrechu, Kenneth, Grant, Nolan and
Harmon are gone. Nolan just went.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Out of a hard time trading away for Grant in
this instance.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
But I do like Williams, well, the question you would
then have to ask yourself is Grant gonna go to Washington?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Outful? They took a dtackle earlierly last year? Is Grant
gonna go to Buffalo? Maybe? Maybe would Houston be coming
up to get Grant? Were they coming up for one
of the wide receivers? I would think like Zabel or
Abuka or one of those that you mentioned. What are
they offering us again? There? I mean I would swallow
(04:30):
it with Tyreek Kal the.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Giants are offering thirty five, William thirty four and sixty
five for twenty eight and one twenty three.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Good for fun enrolled, The Detexans.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Are offering thirty one and eighty nine for twenty eight
and one eighty five.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
I'd be more comfortable going to thirty.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
One, thirty four and sixty five verses thirty one and
eighty nine, but we're giving up to get thirty four
and sixty five. We're also giving up pick one twenty three.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Don't try either. If we end up with Williams, I
won't cry. I'm a big tiler Williams fan. Let's take
the Giants, because Giants offer gives us, well, thirty four
and sixty five five is gonna be real handy, real handy.
But we're giving up one twenty three, so we're moving
under that fourth round.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Let's do it, Okay, I'll accept it then.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
And.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Well we're picking now, ye trade it back twice. We
do have other trade offers, but we're gonna jage.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
So the picks then went. They moved up for Jackson Dart,
which is what we guess.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Add up.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
G Hud Campbell goes to Washington.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
That's late for him.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Chavon Revel goes to Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Okay, so we avoided the Grant speed bump there.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Josh Simmons goes to the Texans.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
I think he's gonna go high.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
That's where they were trying to trade back up to
get Egbuca goes to the Patriots who traded.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Into thirty two. Good for them.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, Jalen Milroe to the Browns.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
I was about to bring up but with all these
picks we have, I was thinking about lobbying for Milroe,
even over Grant. Okay, but I guess we're not gonna
have that. Com we're up now at thirty four. Grant
is still available. Yeah, you take him. I thought we're
gonna end up with Tyler Williams. So great.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
We got all these extra picks. Now all right, we're
up now at sixty. I'm gonna reject all the offers here.
Whyatt Millum real quick? Would you consider shock here? I
would think about it.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yeah, I mean we got extra stuff stuff right right right? Yeah,
we got on quarterback I considerable.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
We've got pick sixty sixty five, eighty three, but then
we don't have anything until one eighty five.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Okay, so I'd like to get a premium running back.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Okay, so we'll take a look at the running backs
here we can when Shawn Judkins.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Hard to say any of that.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
DJ Giddens, Cam Scattabo Bay Shelle toot and Damian Martinez,
Olie Gordon, Dylan Samson, R. J.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Harvey, Devin new Dudgeons is way better all those guys. Yeah,
you think you just draft Judkins just he might make
it a sixty five. We're at sixty but I think
we will take You can take the bird in hand
and I think so too. But who are the best available?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Wyatt millm offensive guard or guard from my West Virginia,
J T two maloa ed rusher from Ohio State. Judkins
is three on that list. Maxwell Hairston cornerback out of Kentucky,
Prince Hugh Edge rusher out of missus Ole, Miss Tate
Ratledge the guard.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
So there's no one crazy there. You take Judkins in.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Your thrill, Well, I mean, Jayden Higgins is there, Darius
Alexander is there.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
We could consider them in five pick We might get
them in five picks. Just take Judkins, now, I agree, Okay, Judkins,
it is there was a clear line. I like those
other backs. But he's a starter. Yeah, okay, So now
I would consider Shock. I'd consider Haggins, I'd consider a
(07:55):
tackle that shouldn't be there. I'd consider Alexander, might even
consider Hairston. If he's still there. He's not really for me.
But if you get him at sixty five, yeah, well
he's gone. So okay. I didn't really want to take him.
He's too small for my liking. But he shouldn't be
so bad there. Actually he is still there.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Never mind, So it's Millum Tuamloa Hairston, Tate, Ratledge, T J. Sanders, Darius, Alexander,
Emery Jones, the offensive tackle from LSU, Alfred Collins defensive
tackle from Texas.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I think I take Alexander over Collins with Grant in hand.
With Grant in hand, yeah, but boy, that's some beef. Yeah,
you really man. Send a message of the rest of
the division. Eric Aleki em and or I keep call
him Eric Higgins must have went.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Schuck is there.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
It might be the time to do it. First pick
of round three, Shucker, Alexander. I think you go quarterback.
I think you do too. He might be the answer.
He might be the answer, might not, but he might
be at that price if he's a two, and I
know it's worth it. It's very worth it, right, Tyler
Shuck it is. We haven't taken Tyler Shuck in a
(09:08):
long time. Hum, So, I forget what podcast has listened to.
It might have been Mickshay's, and he was saying the
concern around the league that he's hearing was Shuck isn't
his age, But how am I going to get him
reps at his age? You know what I mean? Like
once you get him in the building. And the Steelers
have that issue too. If it's Rogers Rudolph Shuck, sure
(09:31):
he'd play like the whole preseason, but then he's probably
not active on game day all year, and he's out
of sight, out of mind, and you know, it's kind
of it's no different.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
It's it's actually it is different from taking one of
the injured guys or Henry Hooker someone like that, right
right right, We've seen teams.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Take at least you could play in the preseason and
give him a ton of practice snaps, and.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
But those injured guys, you're getting nothing out of that
first year, and so you're eating a year.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
And certainly if Rudolph for Rogers had any injury, he's
active on game day. You know you'd love them to
be the two right away. Okay, but I like that.
I love the pick for that right but eighty three okay,
quarterback quarterback, running back, the line defensive lineman Jack beck
Oo Barrett Carter, the linebacker from Clemson, Chris Paul the
(10:17):
linebacker from will Miss Omar Norman Lott defensive tackle from
Tennessee Schamar Turner defensive tackle from Texas, A and M.
I'm a Turner fan, by the way.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Ashton Jilot the edge rusher out of Louisville. Cameron Williams,
offensive tackle from Texas. Gunner Helm tight end from Texas.
DJ Giddens running back from k State. Elijah Rojo the
tight end from Miami. Cam Scattabo running back from Arizona State.
Is there a position you want to hit here?
Speaker 2 (10:47):
There's two names you said that I'm pretty excited about
is and this is a much different build in different
names too than we usually.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Well that's the thing when you start moving.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, betch for beck I always forgot which
one it is. I think it is back. Yeah, he's
a lot different than what they have. And Turner, I
mean he took a nose type. Turner's an end. He
plays hard. Who is either one of those.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I'm looking here, Josh Farmer still there.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Say Turner Farmer if you had Grant hm M. I
probably have a higher grade on Farmer. But close, close,
real close. Yeah, just looking here. What offensive wide receivers
available you have beck Ted Johnson now Tory Horton from
(11:41):
Colorado State. I liked Horton, Xavier Estreppo from Miami, Saveon
Williams from TCU. He has fallen way.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, everybody finally started watching the tape and going why
didn't have any production? Yeah, like, yeah, he's big, strong
and fast, but he didn't do anything.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
It's funny Pro Football Focus put something out today the
two articles who in their mock draft simulator has moved
up the most in the last month, who's fallen down?
The fall? And he was like top a list of
the fall.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
But him as an early second round pick when this
whole whole thing started.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
What you do with him?
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Yeah, I don't see it. I'd much rather back Isaac
Tesla still out there, hm hm A guard you're looking at?
Dylan Fairchild from Georgia, Miles Fraser from l s U,
Jackson Slater.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
From SAC I think Fraser is a really good player too. Yeah,
so there's some dudes there tackle you're looking at Cameron Williams,
Charles Grant from William and Mary. I'm certainly a Grant fan.
I'm not a Texas dude.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Yeah, Logan Brown from Kansas, Chase Lunt, Anthony Belton.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
I would consider Grant, I'd consider either Guard. I would
certainly consider Turner or who is the other d lineman.
We were just talking about someone else that was a
farmer farmer? Yeah, and Beck.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Here's the thing with trading the picks.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
What do we have left.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
We don't get another pick for one hundred.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Picks, so it's basically your last pre contributor. Yeah, the
guy that that is either a starter for you this
year or next year, you're probably not getting your guard,
probably taking a quarterback, Oh no, doubt that's the place
you're or something else right right, which is why we
had to make the trade to get extra picks early.
I mean, if we didn't take a shock, there would
have been a really good receiver there we wouldn't even consider.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Back to me, I look at wide receiver. I'm they're
fine at wide receiver. Beck would start maybe next year
or be in the next next year to play more
than he will this year.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
What I like about him isn't the receiver need is
He's just so much different than the two big outside
guys little guys. You know, He's just a different type
of player. I'm fine with that, though. We can scratch him.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I think I would go doing Fairchild here.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
That's fine with me. I might prefer the LSU guard,
but they're potato potato, Yeah, go either way with that.
I just think that's a that's a starter down the
road who also may play snaps for you this year.
Like you didn't think last year when they you didn't
think McCormick was going to play at all last year,
he ends up starting twelve games for you. I'm sure
(14:17):
we said, well Hill redshirt all year. Yeah, he was
like one of the played one of the most.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
That's an extra pick.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
That's a throw. No, I'm cool with the guards, and
you get a year to work with him and get
him ready to go. Fraser for Fairchild. Do you like
Fraser better? I do, and I think he can bail
you out of tackle. He played tackle with the Senior Bowl. Yeah,
they had two draftable tackles at LSU. So he never
(14:43):
got that opportunity. I would probably prefer him, but I
like both about the same. Yeah, mist they both future
around picks.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah, yeah, are going to be. They're both gonna start.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yeah, they're both future starters.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, I'll take Miles Fraser. So now we wait, Now
we wait.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
But I definitely feel more comfortable having one O lineman
before the end of the drive.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
We got Kenneth Grant in the first round. We're actually
in the early second round, Quinn Shawn Jenkins in the
second round, Tyler Shuck at sixty five, first first pick
of the third round, and then Miles Frasier at pick
eighty three.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
They're all big for their yeah the position.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Okay, so now we are up again here at one
eighty five or eighty five. We got two picks left. Well,
what do you know, I don't see this happening, but okay,
so get Dylan Gabriel, which we're all taking a Yeah,
we're done with that. Nick Nash the wide receiver from
San Jose State, Kitan Crawford safety from Nevada, Ty Robinson
(15:48):
defensive timing from Nebraska.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
I think that could happen, but it seems pretty frituitous.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Yeah, Isaiah Bond, wide receiver from Texas.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Can consider him at this age, At this stage, I
don't think he's particularly good.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
No, I don't think he's good. In the off field
stuff is a little troubling.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yeah, yes, say the least.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
I think that's why he slid down on these boards.
Cam Jackson, the defensive tackle out of Florida, talk about
beef with grant Jordan James running back from Oregon. Tim
Smith with defensive tackle from Alabama. Again beef beef beef.
Tanka Hemingway, defensive tackle from South Carolina. Cody Lindenberg, linebacker
from Minnesota, John Joyner, ed rusher out of Minnesota, Jark
(16:35):
Quiz Hunter running back out of Auburn, Jaden Blue running
back out of Texas. Vernon Broughton, defensive lineman out of Texas.
I think that's more likely than Robinson.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Let's pretend Robinson is not there.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Yeah, I don't think he makes this far. But Broughton, Oh,
that's logical, big enough to ride the ride. Maybe gets
lost in the mick in the shuffle in this particular.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
And Jackson and Smith are logical. Two. Yeah, Broughton's more
of an end than those guys, though, at least he's
a little more. He's a little different than Grant.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Yeah, he got Upon Stout cornerback out of Western Kentucky,
Tyler Cooper, the guard from Minnesota, Jeffrey Bassa, the linebacker
from Oregon, Jalen Smith, cornerback at the USC.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
So there's some, there's some. Dude, d Liman seemed like
the best value.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I think you take Broughton here. Yeah, he's six or four,
he's got longer. He's like, yeah, yeah, the arms are
long enough.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
I mean I think he's a warmly plus Yeah, yeah,
I mean that's what you're looking for. Yeah, right, right,
the longtime player that it's a rotational dude, you know,
lowry maybe better than those guys.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
Yeah, Okay, he is the pick.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
We got one more pick left at two twenty nine,
And honestly, we can go a lot of different ways here. Receiver, corner,
developmental offensive tackle. Oh yeah, I just assume they will.
They'll be dried up.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Wide receiver Kobe Hudson from UCF, Jalen Conyers, tight end
from Texas Tech, Dalton Cooper offensive tackle from Oklahoma State.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
John Quavius Marks the running back from USC. Dauante Traders
safety out of Maryland, Howard Cross defensive tackle on a
Notre Dame. Jackson Hawes tight end out of Georgia Tech.
I think everyone's sleeping on a tight end. I mean,
I don't know that Hayward and par Ham or Jackson Hoylers.
(18:32):
You put him in Washington, out there in goal line
or just so nasty, huge and nasty and like you
want to run the football. There you go.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
That's like he's like having a seventh offensive lineman out there.
He's on your kickoff return team. Oh, he's just a
football player. Do you want to be physical in the
trenches and run the football, that's who you want. I'm
fine with that. Due last round, yeah, absolutely, no way
he should still be available. No, I mean he caught
sixteen balls last right. Yeah, he's not going to not
(19:01):
everyone's be banging down his door. Yeah, yeah, do it.
You're getting nasty. This is a big this is a trenches.
Everyone's big for their position. Yeah, all right, so we
end this was different. This was fun. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
With Kenneth Grant at thirty four after trading back twice
mm hm. But we picked up a couple of second
round picks. Well, one was the second one was the
first pick of the third early third. Yeah, yeah, we
took quid Shaw Jenkins at sixty sixty five was Tyler Shuck,
the quarterback out of Louisville. Miles Fraser at eighty three,
the guard out of LSU. Yeah, one eighty five was
(19:38):
Vernon brought in the defensive lineman out of Texas, and
then we got Jackson Hawes, the tight end out of
Georgia Tech at two twenty nine.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
Physicality is the seas here. This team got nasty. Yeah,
I'm running a big nasty and not really hide our intentions.
And maybe you found a quarterback dislike that now I
don't dislike it either. Getting granted that late worked out well,
which I don't know that he's going to go super high.
I mean, it wouldn't shock me if he went fifteenth.
It wouldn't shock me if he's still on the board
(20:06):
when Thursday's over. Yeah, you know, teams might just take
an edge instead, right that that's a different conversation. But
teams that just need D line help. I think you're
going to take edge over tackles. You always take the
edge over the tackles because they're the more they affect
the passer more. Plus you can get Farmer in the
third round. Yeah, I mean, the edges are deep, but
(20:26):
I would rather Farmer in the third round than Swinton
in the third round, you know what I mean, if
I need both, right, So, I think most teams are
going to go edge then tackle, which could help Feelers
a lot.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
I think you may see like sixteen pass rushers in
the first record. I think those edges are just gonna
get pushed up.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
I do too.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
I think it's also a league and right right right
the pierces of sixteen, but that's a huge jump. It
might be it might be twelve or thirteen.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
Might be twelve or thirteen. This is just a number
I picked when we did that prediction thing. I just
kind of picked that number out. I mean, think if
it's twelve, there's two tight ends, probably two receivers right
off the safety or two. I'm the same with position
is that you don't want a linebacker all of a sudden.
You get to thirty two pretty quick, and if you're
not in the market of any of those positions, let alone,
(21:12):
you know, cam Ward and Hunter and Carter, those guys
aren't going to be there, you know.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah, this was interesting it was.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
That's kind of a fun build. Yeah, let's get to
a break. He is the Matt Williamson. I am Dale Lolly.

together at three round mock draft here Steelers making a
trade up.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
Oh did they well in the later rounds?
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Interesting? Okay, so how did they do it? Did they
go I pick you pick? I picked you?
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Yes, that's that's what they did.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
They didn't group think it. I don't think Mel's not
big on group What we.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Will do next Thursday? If you watch live on Steelers
dot com, you me and oh okay, yeah, Mike Persuda.
Speaker 2 (23:05):

watch that live. Yeah cool.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
So uh so Tennessee, this is Yates has cam Ward
going to the Titans.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
He's got the odds. Mel's got the evens. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Mel has the Browns taking Travis Hunter.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Pretty chalky. And then I guess a little interesting. I
don't know if you saw it, but Shador Sanders is
going to do a private workout for the Giants.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, one last time the Giants. Yates has them taking
Abdull Carter, the addresser out of Penn State.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
If you were the Patriots, I guess they're having Carter
in today and Sanders is doing this private workout for
the Giants. If you were the Patriots, would you tell
the Giants, how about I give you a fourth round
pick and we just swapped three and four? No, if
you're the Patriots or the Giant, who says no to that?
Speaker 3 (24:00):
I think the Giants say no to it. I think
they want again. I just don't know that there aren't
the premium players. I think there's three. I think there's
three players who if we were redrafting last if you miss.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
But he's not going to go in the top three
of course, right. Yeah? Uh.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Kuiper has the Patriots taking Will Campbell offensive tackle.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Out of LSU becoming kind of chockey too.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Yates says, Jacksonville taking miss Mason Graham defense Michigan. Kuiper
has the Raiders taking Ashton Genty running back at.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
The Boise jockey at this point. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Yates has the Jets taking arm On Membo offensive tackle
from Missouri.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Okay, I think that's going to come down to Membo
or Warren.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
Kuiper has Carolina taking Jalen Walker linebacker slash edge Rusher
at Georgia League.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Seems to love them, but I have some questions.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
At nine, Yates has the Saints taking Shador Sanders.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Very possible. Yeah, some people think it would be dark
to them. Maybe, yeah, whatever.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
At ten, Kuiper has the Bears taking Tyler Warren tight
end Penn State.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Totally understand it. At eleven, Yeats has Kelvin Banks Junior,
the offensive tackle from Texas going to the forty nine Ers.
I wouldn't love that for the Niners. You think you
could do a little better, but it to need.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Yeah, I mean Trent Williams is thirty seven this year.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Left guard as a hole. You could put him at
left guard and hopefully it kicks out the left tackle
in a year, you know.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
At twelve, Kuiper has Matthew Golden wide receiver from Texas
to the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
If you were the Cowboys, would you take Ted or Golden?
I have for them. I see both sides. There are
different compliments to Lamb, but they are compliments.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Yeah, I'd probably lean towards Golden.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I like Golden a little better. Yeah, I understand both
sides with them.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
At thirteen the Dolphins, Yates has him taking will.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Johnson understandable, especially if Ramsey especial, if you're gonna move around. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
At fourteen, Kuiper has Colston Loveland going to the Colts.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
I don't like. I don't see I have the tight
endfit for the Colts either. They have plenty of pass
catchers and they don't really throw the ball that well. No. No.
At fifteen, Yates has Mike Green, the addresser from Marshall,
going to Atlanta. Fine with that, yeah, I mean if
I were them off the field to side, I would
rather do Green than Stew. You need an instant help, Yeah,
I don't want a developmental guy from them.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
At sixteen, Kiper has John A Barron to the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I don't think that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
They just gave their nickel a bunch of money.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Who did your money? The safety Buddha Budda Bakers.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
The Baker's making money, Like, yeah, unless you don't think
Booda is going to hold up as you maybe you
want to play him back off the ball more, I
don't know. At seventeen and Johddy Barren could play outside.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Seventeen the Bengals, Yates has them taking Walter Nolan. Defensive
TAXI will miss.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Everyone seems to be quiet on Nolan, which I think
the league's higher on him than people seem to think.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
At eighteen, Kuiper has Grey's Abel going to the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
That makes sense. I mean a lot of people put
Booker there, but they're much more of this new offense coordinators,
much more of a movement zone based, you know, athletic
and modern Booker. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
At nineteen, Yates says Nick Emuari, the safety from South
Carolina going to Tampa.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
I can understand that I'd be shocked if they'd take
him over Campbell though. At twenty, Kuiper has Omari and
Hampton running back from North Carolina going to Denver. Wouldn't
break my heart at all. No, you know, it is
what it is. I don't love the Steeler builds when
Hampton it's the first pick, even though he's worth it.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
At twenty one, Yates has the Steelers taking Derek Harmon.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Cool, sign me up, yep.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
At twenty two, Kiper has a Mecca Agbuka going to
the Chargers. That's a little redundant to me. I take
Tech mcm for them. I'd take mcmill McMillan makes more
sense for them. Yeah, yeah, I would too. It sounds
like love one's already gone. I mean mconkie's your slot,
that's what he is.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
I mean, I respect a Buka's game, but for them,
I would want.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
The big bo kind of redundant with McConkie.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yeah, yeah, I went outside guy ball winner.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
At twenty three, the Packers for Yates, he has them
taking Shamar Stewart.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
That's their style. Yeah. I mean that's a lot like
Ben Ness or Gary or traits guy. Yeah, big trades guy.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
At twenty four, Kiper has the Vikings taking Donovan Jackson,
the guard from Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Oh, I don't see that. They just I mean they
signed a center, they signed a guard. Their tackles are great.
There is a spot that friendles the other starting guard.
But yeah, just a guy, but the defense is keeps
him great everywhere, right right right? I mean four out
of five quality starters and an okay one isn't bad, yea.
Their secondary needs a lot of work.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
At twenty five, Yates has the Texans taking Tech McMillan.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Sure, I mean receivers outside an eco right now? Or
I don't Dell plays ever again yeah, frankly, which is
terribly We got Christian Kirk. But yeah, that's true. The
Millon's different, that's true. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
At twenty six, Kuiper has the Rams taking Maxwell Harriston
the cornerback out of Kentucky.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
See that a lot the need.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
At twenty seven, Yates has the Ravens taking Malachi Starks
safety from Georgia.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
I keep thinking that's to be Booker, but Starks would
add up to.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
At twenty eight, Kuiper has Mike kel Williams as rusher
out of Georgia, going to the Lions.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Pretty late for him.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
Yeah, again he's undersized. We got a projected trade. At
twenty nine, the Browns get picked twenty nine and one
twenty eight. They give up picks thirty three and sixty seven,
similar to what we did.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Yeah, that's on a far trader.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
They come up to get Jackson Dart. According to Yates.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Sanders went to the Saints, right, Okay? Is he off
the board? Sure? Okay, I say that's I would think
the Giants and Saints or Browns will be aggressive to
get a quarterback. At thirty, Kuiper has the Bills taking
Trey Amos cornerback out of Ole, miss that's up Yates.
At thirty one has the Chiefs taking Josh Connerley, the
offensive tackle from Oregon. I think he might need a year,
(30:37):
but that's fine for them. Yeah right, He's sounds super strong.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
At thirty two, Kuiper has the Eagles taking gi Hud Campbell.
They don't take line back and take linebackers in the
first round, but they just paid Bond and I don't
think they would do that. They just paid Bond and
nave Dean. Yeah, yeah, May just wanted to get Campbell
in the first round. May he's gonna be in the
first round after trading back. The command then take Donovan Azreku.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, their edges a little suspect.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
At thirty four, Kuiper has Tyler Schuck to the Giants.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
It's not about a Constellation prize. End up with Carter
and Schuck. Okay, you might have filled both needs.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Thirty five Higgins Jayden Higgins, the wide receiver of Mohowa State,
goes to Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
They I hope they go receiver early for Ward.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Jacksonville then takes Luther Burden, the wide receiver from Missouri.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
At thirty seven, the Raiders take Josh Simmons, the offensive
tackle from Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
I think he's the best tackle in draft. Some of
these tackles I think are to go earlier.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
At thirty eight, the Patriots take Kenneth Grant, defensive tackle.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
From Michigan Ice. Good value obviously.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
At thirty nine, the Bears take Treyvon Henderson, running back
from Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Okay, so real quick, I mean there might have been
people last segment going no way Grant lasts that long
after two trade downs. Well he just just did this
one too. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
At forty, Kuiper has Azeri A. Thomas, the cornerback from
Florida State to the Saints.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
They need him, but that's a little rich for him.
Forty one, Nick Scourton goes to the Chicago Bears the
dresser out of Texas A and M. I think they
could use help there.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
Forty two the Jets take Elijah or Rojo tight end
out of Miami.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Okay, I thought it would be Membo or Warren and
they end up with Membo and a Rojo. Yeah. I
would take the LSU kid though first I see both sides.
I prefer Taylor too. Uh.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
San Francisco then takes James Pierce junior, the addresser out
of Tennessee.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
At forty three, they have a lot of d line needs.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
The Cowboys at forty four take Chavon Revel, junior cornerback
out of East Carolina. And this could be what happens
with some of these injury Yeah. Yeah, he ended up
in the second round.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Oh right.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Forty five, Carson Sweassinger goes to the Colts to the
linebacker at of UCLA.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
I can see that. Benjamin Morrison, another one of those
injury guys, goes to the Fountras of forty six, the
cornerback from Notre Dame. That would be fine for them.
Put him Oppositae Trell whenever he's ready. At forty seven,
the Cardinals take Tyler Booker, the guard from Alabama. I
like that. That's that's good value to hit him that late.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
At forty eight, Kuiper has Darius Alexander, defensive tackle from
Toledo going to the Dolphins.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
They could use that too, yep.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
At forty nine, the Bengals take Xavier Watts, safety at
a Notre Dame.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
They'd go safety d tackle, Okay, I mean just stick
with defense.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Yeah. At fifty the Seahawks take Jonas s Iavania Guard
out of Arizona.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
They take two interior alignment. Yeah, I wouldn't. I'm not
squipping quabbling with it. That's not a word, but whatever,
quibble quabble.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Fifty one, Yates has Mason Taylor tight end out of
LSU to the Broncos.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
Yeah. He's a lot different than Ingram, And now I
think Ingram's only on one year deal.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
The Seahawks at fifty two, this would be the pick
that they got for DK Metcalf. They take, according to Kuiper,
Jack Beck wide receiver from TCU good lineman.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
And if that was, if.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
That's the trade, like Dk Metcalf for Jack Beck, I
like Jack Beck.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
But right, and I'll still take the thirty million. Yeah,
on top of it. My only problem with that is
he's a slot smith and Jake mccupp and back, you know, like,
give me somebody that's outside the noumin. Everybody plays and Beck,
I guess could play outside of that, but that's not
what he does. Well, right, they all can. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Tampa Bay takes Darian Porter at fifty three cornerback out
of Iowa State.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
He's so interesting to me because He's only been a
corner for one year and really needs time. But he's
old too. I mean he's been in college for six years.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
Green Bay then takes another is year, Jalen Noel, wide
receiver out of Iowa State.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Well, he took an edge.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
According to Kuiper, they got receivers.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Oh, they do, they do. But I don't think Watson's
gonna play all year.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
I don't think he does either. At fifty five, the Chargers,
according to h take Quinn Shawn Judkins, running back out
of Ohio State. Him an nausey Naugy's a one year deal,
right right, Okay. At fifty six, Kuiper has Saveon Williams
to the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
I think he's much more of a second third round
pick than he is. Oh no, that's t c U
staving way. Yeah, I get the Washington State receiver and
Sane Williams mixed up, but no, I would not take
Williams that high.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
At fifty seven, the Carolina Panthers, according to the Yates,
take Ozzie Trapeo, offensive tackle from Boston College.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Yeah, it's not a huge need.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
At fifty eight, Kuiper has Anthony Belton, the offensive lineman
from NC State going to the Texans.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Pretty high, but I understand it. Yeah, he's a good prospect.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Fifty nine, the Ravens take j. T. Tuamloa edge rusher
from Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
He's their type of guy, a van noy, tough guy,
set the edge, you know. At sixty Kuiper has Marcus
and Bow the guard from Purdue to the Detroit Lions.
They needed that would be a good pick for them
losing Zeitler.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
It's sixty one. Yates has Jacob Parrish cornerback from k
State going to the Commanders. Are they just going to
run a.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Whole group of unders? They do have a Lottimore, but
that that position is kind of fully tiny. Yeah. At
sixty two, the bills for Kuiper is olu O, the
oladejo ed rusher at UC Yeah. Sixty three, Yates has
(36:35):
Landon Jackson, the edge rusher from Arkansas.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Going to the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Sixty four, Kuiper has Kevin Winston Junior, the safety from
Penn State to the Eagles. So no big guys for
the Eagles thus far right.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
I think Winston goes maybe even higher than that.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Would the Eagles take a linebacker in a safety in
the dreads. Not Eagles like him, but they did take
cornerbacks first two rounds last year.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah, yeah, okay, this is a three rounder. Yeah. Oh wow.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Tate Ratledge to the Giants at sixty five. The guard
from Georgia, Harold Fannon Junior, the tight end from Bowling
Green to the Chiefs at sixty six.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
He's not very Kelsey like.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
But Caleb Johnson goes to the Commanders at pick sixty seven.
That was a pick that that was a pick they
picked up from Cleveland. And then he has they have
a projected trade.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Pick number. Steelers get pick number sixty eight for pick
number eighty three. This is with the Raiders and.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
A twenty twenty six third round draft pick.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Okay, so you move up heavy in the third round
for a future third Yeah, and they take Jaln Milroe
quarterback Miami. To me, me, that's the perfect start to
the draft. If I can get one of those premier
d tackles in Milrow and it cost me a future
(37:59):
third and those were my first two picks. I'm in.
I'm so in. Yeah, that makes more sense in taking
him in the first round or at the top of
the second round, and you're not sure to pick this year, right,
you're gonna get a third comp pick. Sign me up
for that. So essentially you traded Dan Moore in your
(38:21):
third round draft pick to go get me your future
starter right now. Ideally, if you could do those exact
same thing, but you would have got harm in five
picks later in a trade down and still had something
else floating out there another third or whatever. Yeah. Rt,
but if this is the way it went, I would
take it. Yeah. To me, that's a perfect start. Now.
I'm not going to roll through all these picks after that,
(38:42):
but just some of the more interesting one.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Kyle Williams we talked about, goes sixteen sixty to the Patriots.
The wide receiver at of Washington State, Ariante Urserie to
the Bears at seventy two. The offensive tackle from Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Sleeper to go way earlier, TYLERK.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
Williams goes all the way down at seventy for the
defensive tackle out of Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
You can see noses falling Grant Williams, et cetera. Alfred Collins. Yeah,
he goes right.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
After him to the forty nine Ers at seventy five.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
I don't think that's insane. With the all the noses
that are in this class that you might get value there. Boy,
I'll take Williams the third round.
Speaker 3 (39:17):
Let's see here, the Bengals take Jack Sawyer at eighty one,
the edge rusher out of Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
He's their style. Yeah, like Hubbard.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
Josh Farmer goes at eighty two, and then the defensive
tackle in the third rounds Shamar Turner goes with the
pick at eighty three. That would have been the Steelers
pick the defensive liment of Texas.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
A and M about where we considered him.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
Yeah, Eleka Yemanor at eighty five to the Broncos, the
wide receiver out of Stanford.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Nice, it'd be a good fit for him.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
Quincy Riley, the cornerback out of Louisville to the Jaguars
at eighty eight.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
Now he's a guy that could go a little higher
than you think. Yeah, only he's be sitting there. In
the fifth round, Ty Robinson, defensive tackle at in Nebraska,
goes at eighty nine to the Texans. That's about right, yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Will Howard goes at ninety to the Rams.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Okay developmental guy for them. That would make some sense.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
The Ravens take Demetrius Knight, Junior, the linebacker out of
South Carolina. Noel Williams goes to the Seahawks at ninety two,
the cornerback out.
Speaker 2 (40:16):
Of cal Well. These guys that we've had to interest in. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
The Browns took Ashton Gillette at ninety four, the edge
rusher out of Louisville.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
And had a couple people that love him. I think
he's good. Yeah, some people have really bragged about him.
Chiefs took Dylan Fairchild, the guard out of Georgia at
ninety five. Yeah, they need a guard. Yeah. CJ.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
West goes to the Eagles at ninety six, the defensive
tackle out of Indiana.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Yeah, I'd be happy with that. Charles Grant to the
offensive tackle from Miami or from William and Mary goes
to Miami at ninety eight. They did take Patrick Paul
last year, but yeah, how much I'd count on that.
Speaker 3 (40:50):
Upton Stout all the way up at one hundred, Wow
for the San Francisco forty nine ers.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
Did Mel make that pick? Yes, so he talks about Stout,
loves him. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
And final pick of this draft to the Lions is
Barrett Carter, linebacker, out of Clemson the Lions.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
He was kind of he's been on the radar for
a while. Good athlete, but yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:09):
Some guys making some movements there. Rising up the boards.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Harmon and Milroe would be a nice start. People don't
want to hear it, but I think that's a really
good way to go. Yeah, a lot of mill Road detractors,
and I think if you study him, you'll like him
more and more.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
I think, to me again, the the argument, Well, you know,
I see mock drafts them taking him in the first round. No,
you don't do that right, right, right? And I need
trading up to the Yeah, trading up into the early
second round to get him and not not having a
defensive tackle at all, or trading back and taking him first. No, Yeah,
(41:46):
Like I get okay, if you move a future pick
from next year, because you got a bunch a bunch
to go, do that, I get it completely.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
Just have him for one more year than then maybe
you aren't in the quarterback marketing from that, right, How
nice would that be?
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Yeah, now you get all these picks that you acquired,
right right, I can really do something and do whatever
you want, right, Yeah, let's get through a break. He
is the Matt Williamson. I'm Dale Lolly. You're listening to
the Drive here on the Steelers Nation Radio on the
Steelers Audio Network, and I'll be back to finish up
the show right after this.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
At least.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
He's the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt Williamson on
your twenty four to seven home of the Black and
Gold Steelers Nation.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
Radio and welcome back. I'm Dale Lolly. He is the
Matt Williamson and Matt Tyrone Smith. He's going to sign
a one day contract with the Cowboys and then retire
after fourteen years. Okay, good, Yeah, I mean I think
that's a good way to go out. Last year with
(42:50):
the Jets was a little rough. Yeah, kind of seeing
that so many times in sports where someone's a lifetime
and then they go one year and like, yeah, this
was probably a mistake, and much of what happens with
the Jets last year was forgettable. You know that that
experiment obviously didn't work. I think he's a hall of famer. Yeah,
(43:11):
he'll be a Hall of Fame. I think he will be. Yeah,
he's had back issues and I'm sure his body is
saying I'm done. I just want to look at his.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Like it seems like the back issues for him have
been around forever forever. Yeah, you know, one hundred and
seventy one career games in fourteen years.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
M Okay, like the whole stuff.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
Hasn't played a full season since twenty fifteen, and I
wonder if that hurts, Like.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
His first four adortability is going to be a knock on.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
His first five seasons he played all but one game,
really okay, and then ever since then the most games
he's played in the season is thirteen.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
Okay. That's interesting. Yeah, like it's it's going to be
maybe he doesn't go first ballot.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
There was a twenty two one he played two games,
twenty twenty two he played four games, like a really
good player. Yeah, and but just a two time first
team All Pro because of all the injuries.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Yeah, and Trent Williams probably beat him out quite a bit.
And you know some of those dudes, like I would
put you know, Trent Williams, Lane Johnson ahead of him,
you know, in the tackle pecking order for Hall of Fames.
Guys that will retire soon. But I bet he goes
in the next ten years.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
It's tough though, it's tough to tackle.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Because there's nobility, big, huge, and I get when Tony
Boselli goes in, yeah he kind of throwing some of
that out. But BISSELLI his entire career was like, Okay,
he's the guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is a little different.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
Where he had four years where he was that and
then the rest of the career has just kind of
been Okay, he's good, but he missed too many games.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, yeah, that's going to be the clear number one
knock on him. He's an interesting player though. I mean, like,
not many tackles could be an underwear model, and he
kind of is like he has of any fat He's
got the wide shoulders, the narrow waist, you know, he's
got the v I mean, he's an odd process.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
We have a different idea of underwear models than what
I do, just a different vision of what they look like. Right,
mine don't have wide shoulders and.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Twenty pounds. They are not no, no, I think whenever
he came out of USC, remember Ryan Khalil is a
super high pick. Smith had to play the right side
because Khalil was USC's left tackle, you know, so he
he was one of these conversions that went right to
left right away and didn't miss a beat. You know
(45:45):
all those guys that converted last year. I think he's
a tremendous player, but he has been held together.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
UC taper for a long time.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
I wonder how many Wednesday practices he's missed a million?
Speaker 3 (45:57):
Yeah, that's I mean, he spent the better part of
the of his career not playing the full sixteen.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Yeah, right, right right. Armstead kind of has some of
those things too. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
I mean really, in the last the last three seasons
of his career he played twenty seven games.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
Really, how old is he?
Speaker 3 (46:16):
Uh, thirty, he'll be thirty five.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Man, it's probably time.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
Yeah, it's probably time.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
But great career, great career.
Speaker 3 (46:21):
Really good player. It'll be interesting.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
That'll be a that'll be a tough discussion.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
In that in that Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
It won't be a no brainer. No, there's no question
Trent Williams going in, no problem. Yeah, blah blah, Like
you have, you have less of an argument with Zach Martin.
Martin's easier. Yeah, Martin's reliable.
Speaker 3 (46:38):
He was more reliable, more reliable, and they were with
great players in a long time, for a long time. Well,
the Cowboys are the best line in the league because
they basically they had those two.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Guys, and Frederickson was a really good player for a
long time too, and he had to retire early.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
I don't think all three of them go to the
Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
I don't think Frederickson goes. No Fredericks or Frederickson Frederickson,
I don't think he'll go. His career's There are many
centers in the Hall of Fame Fame, they really are.
There's like five, like Nick Mangole, is it in The
Steelers have like forty percent of the Hall of Fame center, right,
It's pretty crazy. Yeah, but definitely I'm sure if you
compare Martin and Smith, I'm sure Martin has more Pro
(47:14):
Bowls All Pros. You just play game, you know, if
you only play twelve games, you're not going to be
an All Pro. It's tough. I think you said the
only one is two of them.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Yeah. Yeah, two time first team All Pro. He was
three times second team All Pro.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
But it's tough to I mean, the resume is not
as good as the film. Yeah, because of miss time.
Speaker 3 (47:32):
Yeah, that's festibility is availability.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
Yeah, great career. Yeah, I wonder if we get into
September and someone loses a left tackle. Chiefs, Hey, you
want to try to make a run for a ring? Maybe, Yeah,
I could probably get off the couch. Maybe that's cooys.
Maybe you can't get off the couch. Maybe it's the
back issues that that bad. Yeah, it's always retiring as
a cowboy, though he'll probably be like a ring of
(47:57):
honor go I'm sure. Yeah, yeah, actually a long time
great cowboy. Yeah, it's a great lineman.
Speaker 3 (48:01):
But Matt, that's going to do it for our show today,
all right. So for my partner Matt Williamson, for Justin
Miller here on site running the Justin Miller hotline and
the soundboard, and for Tyler Wittmeyer making sure the video
gets out there on the YouTube, I am Dale, Lolly.
