Speaker 1 (00:03):
At least he's the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt
Williams Sish on your twenty four to seven Home of
the Black and Gold Pass in Steelers Nation.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Radio, and welcome back Guy and Dale Lolly here with Matt.
I'm answering a question on Twitter here, I just just
saw this, Mike five six seven eight said, I read
a guest slash report that the Steelers may be releasing
Roman Wilson.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
What have you heard?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Well, not that that makes no sense, That would make
no sense whatsoever. Why would they would even consider that?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
It's not stumb I mean, there's the third round pick,
he makes no money, he's young. The only way anything
like that even happens. And I'm not suggesting this is
a case, but I mean, in the cross the league
is if somebody does something stupid off the field.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
That might be the most ridiculous thing I've seen or
heard anywhere.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Right, right, I mean, if somebody offer you a trade
for the guy, I believe that. But I mean there's
he's going to be in camp, yeah right.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, all right, So we're it's time mock draft time
here hour number two and uh we're going to use
the Pro Football Network.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Good good draft today.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Give it a little different look to see where you know,
the rankings and all that stuff falls, and a little
different feel to it. So the first twenty picks are in.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
What have we got on the roster already? Not Christian Kirk,
not Christian Kirk.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
But let's say we got Darius Layton signed, Darius n Slayton.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Murphy and fields. There you go. Okay, all right, I
really think that's where it's going to be a week
or two. Yeah, something like that. Okay, So we have
three trade offers. Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
The Lions are on the phone. They want to give
us pick twenty eight and sixty for twenty one and
one sixty three.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
It's nice jumping off point.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
The Vikings are on the phone. They want to give
us twenty four. They don't have a second or thirds
and they're twenty twenty six second rounder for pick twenty one.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Fair. If there's three guys there, I would be happy
with that.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Tampa Bay is on the phone. They want to give
us pick twenty six and pick eighty four for pick
twenty one.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Okay, and we could squeeze a little more out of
the Lions or Bucks. That's one of the most interesting yes,
I am too.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
But I'm gonna take a look here at who's available.
Derek Harmon, Nick Emuori, Gee, Hud Campbell, John A. Barron,
Josh Simmons, Colston Lovelin, Nick Scourton, and Mecca Eggbeca, Luther Burden,
tylerk Williams, Walter Nolan, Cameron Williams offensive tackle out of Texas.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
They're high on him.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I am not Donovan Azureku Gray's Abel Kenneth Grant. Wow,
I say trade back?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah? Would you be comfortable with Baron even if you
took Murphy? Yeah, I would be, especially in a trade
back because you got extra picks. Yeah, I mean you
just be done on your back. Seven's done.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I don't even think you make any counter offers. I
think you take Tampa Bay.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
I'm fine with that. Moved backs five spots become an
extra third rounder. Yeah, yeah, kidding me, that's fine with me.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah, I am going to dump that extra seventh round pick.
But everybody seems to.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Have I don't know where it exists. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I think ESPN dreamed this thing into existence and everybody's
just following. Shoot, they have two seventh round picks, not
three two. So I'm going to add that one in there.
I'm going to propose that they're going to accept it,
and boom, we're moving on.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
They offer us a deal and we offer them a
better one back.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah. Well, now the Ravens are on the phone.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Okay, we don't do business with them.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
I know, but they're offering twenty seven and ninety one
for twenty six.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
They're given.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
They want to give us a third round pick to
move up one spot.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Unless there's only one good guy there, we'll take it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Uh, Seattle wants fifty to eighty two and their next
year second for twenty six. No, and the Jets want
to also treat out of the first round.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Though. I'm going to reject them all, including the Ravens,
I think, so, I mean, that's a little unrealistic.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, okay, anyway, let's reject, reject, reject. Okay, So Derek
Carr still there, Ge Hud Campbell, Josh Simmons, Egbika, Luther Burden,
Tyler Williams, Walter Nolan, Cameron Williams, Gray's Abel, Kenneth Grant Grant. Yeah,
I think you take Kenny. We've grant. Yeah, Kenneth Grant

(04:16):
all day long.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Let's do that in a heartbeat. Yeah, and we picked
up a third round pick. Yeah, yeah, yeah, in a heartbeat.
All right, we're.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Down to fifty two. Now we have a trade offer
from the Raiders. They want to give us sixty eight,
one oh seven and next year's fourth round pick for
fifty two and two forty seven, but with Tripp moving
back sixteen spots.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yeah, it's a lot. I'd like know what's there, of course,
but well I got a pretty good haul.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Omarion Hampton, Ooh, Trey, Harris, Jackson, Dart, Trey Amos, Wyatt Millam,
who was a visitor to the Steelers today, Landon Jackson,
I am rejecting this. We're gonna take diom Walker, Caleb
jo Cohnson, j T. Twomola to a moloa, Maxwell Harriston.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
I take Hampton. You take o'mary and Hampton there, yeah,
without a doubt. Yeah, and give them the ball along, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
all right, good start. Kenneth Grant and Mari and Hampton,
welcome to the club. I like it.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
The Eagles are on the phone now.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
We are up at pick eighty three, and the Eagles
are offering us ninety six and one for eighty three.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
It's fair, it's a fair offer.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna take a look at what's available.
Alfred Collins, he took We just took a nose. Barrett Carter,
Carson Sweeston's You're the linebacker out of UCLA, Chris Paul
the linebacker out of Ole Miss, Omar Norman Lott, defensive
tackle out of Tennessee. Jared Ivy, edge rusher at Old Miss,

(05:49):
Schamar Turner out of Texas, A and M defensive lineman.
Ashton Jillette, edge rusher out of Louisville, Josiah Stewart the
edge rusher out of Michigan. Holland Pierce the offensive tackle
lot of Rutgers.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Can you sort by quarterbacks for me? You might know
where I'm going with this.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Quinn Yours, Will Howard, Dylan Gabriel, Tyler Shuck who visited
the Steelers today. Take him in a heartbeat here, Okay,
in a heartbeat, Tyler Shuck it is. I'm also a
little more interested in Milroe than I was a week
or two ago, especially if he signed fields not this early,
but I mean third or fourth round.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I still take shuck. Oh, I'd take shuck over him
times one thousand. Yeah, I'm just talking about it in general.
If it Fields is your quarterback, I would consider Milrow
third round or later. I would take Shuck in the
second round no matter what, and maybe earlier.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Okay, so we have back to back picture eighty three
and eighty four. We got another trade offer.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Okay. Uh, Detroit wants to help a receiver position here
pretty soon too, though.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Detroit wants to offer us one oh one, one thirty
three and a twenty twenty six fifth round pick for
eighty four and two twenty five.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Seems like a long way to go, but I'm gonna
read you, all right.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
So that wide receiver, it seems like one of these
two should be a White. Save on Williams. Eh, I
don't love them.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
I don't love me there, but I kind of shocked
he's still there.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Jack betch Oh, that's way better. Ty Felton, Ronde Gadson,
Ricky White, Pat Bryant, Kate and Praither, Nick Nash, the Oise,
Kobe Hudson. I think you take bets, yes, take him
take the gift.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Yeah, and now maybe best available or whatever.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Just to take a look here, let's let's look at
cornerback Dorian Strong is still there. I like Strong, Zia, Alexander,
Kobe Bryant out of Kansas, Jordan Hancock out of Ohio State,
Quincy Riley out of Louisville, Jacob Parrish, Melloy Dotson out
of k State. In Kansas, you.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Convinced me on about three of those dudes, Parish, but
the wide receiver pool. Oh you take Bash, I take Batch.
I thought you're talking about this. Dexpect this back to
back one. Yeah, you just take Batch. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I thought we did that. Tough guy. Oh he's going
he's a lot different than Slaton too. Yeah. All right,
Now we're up at one twenty two.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Rams are on the phone offering us one twenty six
and one nine for one two and two forty seven.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
How many picks do we have then? And we've already
traded down.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Well, we go to the seven seven that we didn't
really own.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
So we have seven picks. Okay, there's something we have
that many needs. That's a great thing. That's I get
it right. Oh what's available? Who's who's out there? Another
d Lineman?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Wouldn't break my heart, wouldn't break my heart at all. No,
especially we could use an end.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Yeah, Yeah, that's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Pat Bryant and another nose.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
But I'm just looking at wide receivers. I can look
at all tackle wouldn't break my heart.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Elijah Rojo the tight end out of Miami.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
That's a weapon. That's if you have extra picks. Yeah,
I mean, Josh Farmer, could you do two noses? I
mean they do more than that. They just don't sit
there on first and ten and come off field all
the time. He's a good player. Yeah, Benny Grant can
do more than just playing. Yeah. Yeah, And I think
he could line up as a five technique.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Billy Bowman the safety out of Oklahoma, Jordan Hancock the
cornerback out of Ohio State, Jalen Reid Penn State tight
end or safety. I should say Darius Alexander is still there.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Shouldn't be.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
They're a little lower on Darius Alexander in that sheet.
Howard Cross defensive tackle, a lot of Notre Dame, Ollie Gordon,
Jordan Phillips and other nose.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
I'm I'm a fan.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Chase Lunty offensive tackle out of Yukon Bad Pat Bryant,
wide receiver at Illinois. Phil mofa running back out of Clemson,
Danny Stutsman, Demetrius Knight, they're both linebackers. Dylan Gabriel, Charles
Grant offensive tackle at of William and Mary.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
We already have a Charles Grant too. I mean you
know how happy that makes me. Yeah to Charles Grant said,
but I think he's the perfect guy to take her
in this neighborhood too. You don't need all this year. Yeah,
Dotson still there. CJ.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
West still there, Trey Wedding, the offensive tackle out of
Indianis yesterday.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
But I mean there's really good noses still on.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
The JJ Pegas is still there. He was another visitor
today for the Steelers. Riley Mills still there.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
I would take Charles Grant part two. I think I
would too. I think Darrius Alexander's cheating probably, but those
noses I think will be there. We don't make though,
we don't SA get it.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
We don't set the board, we don't make the picks right.
Just make the picks for the Steelers. What's there?

Speaker 3 (10:33):
All right? Roger tackle? That could be a starter someday.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Charles Grant, it is.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
I meant worst he's a garden, yeah, or somebody moves
around or whatever. Right, figure it out. Tackles trees especially.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I mean he's kind of an outlier in this year's
crop with the arm length in.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
The Yeah, right, right, he's a tackle. Yeah, Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
We're up at one sixty three and Dallas is on
the phone offering us one seventy and two eleven for
one sixty three and two forty seven.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Hard to kind of comment on not knowing there, but
I mean it's not a bad offer. I actually kind
of like it. Yeah, what was it again?

Speaker 2 (11:10):
One seventy and two eleven for one sixty three and
two forty seven.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
It makes for better radio, so you don't have to
take that late pick, you know what I mean. I'm
gonna accept it. Do it, do it? Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
We are up now one seventy and top players available
are cal Mcgonagaey running back out of Rutger, Seth McLaughlin
the center out of Ohio State, Eliza Roberts defensive ten
or defensive tackle from SMU, Joan oh monahean center from USC.
Cal McCord still there, Jack Kaiser, linebacker from Notre Dame.

(11:45):
Brishard Smith running back out of SMU. He's different, he
can make a returner. And weapon as is Dylan Samson.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Ooh, I'd like that better.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Anias Peebles Okay, defensive tackle out of Virginia Tech. Ty Robinson,
the defensive tackle out in Nebraska.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
I think you take him. I think you do too.
I think he's I mean, I don't think that's crazy.
He's still there. I mean, no, I don't think so either.
But I think there's a lot. I think there's some
upside there with Yeah. Yeah, I mean, folks, he's not
the next Cam Hayward, but he would be a very useful, cheaper,
better lowry to me. Yeah, he's active, Yeah, yeah, tested
really well? All right, Ty robinsonto this that somebody two

(12:27):
defensive lineman? Yeah yeah yeah, very different type of dudes.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Has he the length that you want at the position
and the activity? I can't get past the activity, like
he runs to everything.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Yeah. Again, in the third round, I would strongly start
considering him.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
All Right, we're up with two eleven. We also have
two twenty five remaining. Nobody calling us on the phone
to offer us anything.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
For this pick. Okay, have we taken the defensive back?
We have not? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Uh? Jim Jamon Dumas Johnson linebacker, at A Kentucky. J.
Higgins linebacker out of Iowa, Carson the offensive tackle out
of Alabama A and m Zoff Frasier, cornerback out of UTSA.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
I know we did it, but I wouldn't mind taking
Vincent too. Two small school tackles. I know that's crazy talk.
But who was the last one? He said he was somebody.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Good zof Fraser out of Utsa A the same cornerback. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
got size speed, That's worth the risk too. Kobe King
the linebacker at Penn State, Kobe Hudson U S out
of UCF the wide receiver, Jalen Conyers tight end out
of Texas Tech Max, and hook Uh safety out of Toledo.

(13:34):
Jacob Gideon, a center out of Western Michigan. Chiquavius Marks,
running back out of usc.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Let's take the corner, Yeah, corner with trades, corner with
traits is late? Why not? Kind of like a Trice
double down? You know? Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
And we're up now with our last pick and a
lot of the same guys. Jalen Conyers, Jacob Gideon, don't
they Tree is an interesting guy at this spot for me?
The safety out of Maryland. I think he's slought capable.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
He is capable of that. But right he doesn't miss tackles,
special teams galore. It's a fluid athlete. I mean, they
don't really have a third safety locked up. I mean,
I'm a big Watts fan and excited about him. But
this guy could make the team and be active on
week one.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
I will say so, like Trevor at n is still
available as well.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
Appealing. I think I go the safety just looking here
to see what else is there, and then you get
on the phone heavy and late in the draft.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Some of these guys are gone, drafted free agent backs,
bring another back, and I mean we have Hampton.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Hampton's pretty arn good.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
He's going to be your every day Yeah, he's share time.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
With I mean, I think Hampton is going to be
a Pro Bowl running back. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Wherever you link, all right, Dante Trader, it.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Is helps rush. Danny Smith said, thanks.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
And you might be your big nickel. You might be
right right right, Although we we signed a guy you
can play nickel as well.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Well. We took two defensive backs. Murphy's gonna fit in somewhere.
That's the beauty of Murphy, all right.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
So we traded down in the first round and took
Kenneth Grant at twenty six. I don't know how realistic
that is, but I don't know.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
I mean, again, if people look at him, his nose,
only he could fall. He didn't work out at the combine,
right right. I mean, I don't think that's insane. But
if you told me that they could do that right now,
I'd say.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I would have taken him at twenty one.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah, me too. Yeah, that was my favorite guy.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
There, Omari and Hampton at fifty two.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
I don't think that's realistic. Tyler Shuck at eighty three,
then we gots realistic, I think it is.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I don't how many quarterback needy teams are there?

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Six for an instant starter.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Instant starter, okay, they're going to fill those spots, oh yeah,
how many teams beyond that are then going to be
looking to take a quarterback in the third round.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Whoever fills their spot with Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson
should be right up that they should.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
But if they're signing Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, then
use a second round pick.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
They're in it to win, or that's all they could get.
But they're in the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
They're in to win this year, and therefore they're not
going to use necessarily use a pick on a quarterback
this year.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
They're gonna wait till next year. I don't know about that.
I don't know about that. I mean, I'm talking about
Day two guy. I'm not saying they'd use the first
round pick on him. I'm not saying he use one
of the second round pick on him. I don't know.
I don't think. I don't think Shuck gets out of
the second round.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Jack Betch at eighty four that I love Charles Grant
all of it. But yeah, Charles Grant at one twenty two, I.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Like the project there. Talk about him a year.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
From now, Ty Robinson at one seventy, the defensive tackle
at Nebraska, Zaff Frasier, the cornerback out of UTSA at
two to eleven, and Dante Trader after at two twenty five,
the safety out of Maryland.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Sign me up for that one. I would take that
in a heartbeat. That was eight picks of he made, Okay, Yeah?
Would Charles Grant's kind of the bonus pick there? Charles
Grant number two, Charles.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Grant number two on Kenneth Grant's.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
The other one. Aren't they both Kenneth Grant.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
They're both Grants. I thought the same Kenneth Grant and
Charles Grant. I've been making that joke for a month
and no one's corrected me.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
All right, Lou Grant, I don't. I thought they had
the exact same name.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
There's is there another Kenneth? There's another Charles Grant?

Speaker 3 (17:28):
This draft the tackle from william and Mary. Yeah, and
the Michigan Knows tackle. Yeah. I thought that the exact
same They do not know huh.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Okay, Williamson learned something new every day.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
That's big.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Hey, I it happens, you know, you get so many
names bouncing.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Around your head. They both were Kenneth.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
So I was over at the Steelers facility today and
I got the visitors Yeah yeah, yeah, And I put
together the tweet for it. Send it out let all
the other Steeler reporters. Here's the tweet. It's out there.
Only one person goes down today. That's me for like
the next two plus weeks. Okay, And instead of calling
Tanner Tyler shuck, I wrote Tanner Shuck. We've only talked

(18:07):
about this guy for like the last two months.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
I think you probably remember this because you edit my stuff.
I wrote it Tanner shuck. Oh, I don't know if
I corrected it. I think he did, or I might
have at the very end, because originally I went, I'm like,
this is my favorite guy in the whole draft that
I got his first name wrong, and I miss spell
was last name. From time to time too, I always
have to double check.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Also missing all wide receivers all the time. I do
that again the other day.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
How did that happen though? Because I never get the
red squiggly line.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Maybe your computer's broken because I caught it again because
I rankings dropped tomorrow. Yeah, to pull back the curtain,
and I was editing it, I said to my wife,
mass spelled receivers wrong again.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
Because I respect. I misspell receivers and chiefs wrong before
E except after C. But the red squiggly line doesn't
show up. It does on chiefs.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
But fingers don't work the right way on that one.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Oh, I know they don't. But maybe I must have
added to dictionary wrong or something, because I'm like, why
does it show up there one? Even because you've told
me this and I've even typed it in wrong on
purpose and the red SWIGGI line shows up. I don't know.
I don't.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Let's tell you they're chief But you do it every time.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Oh, I must do it every time. If it goes through,
I write it wrong fifty percent of the time. Yeah,
say the chiefs. Yeah some words.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Personnel is one that I always Yeah, it's his two ends,
one L and right. I'm like one L and one.
But as you do, I write the word receivers a lot,
a lot in my lifetime.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yeah, millions of times probably, and I get fifty percent
batting average on it. Not good. No, Yeah, but I
like this draft.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Oh that drafts draft, That draft I would take. Sign
me up for that right now.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
I would trade every pick for those picks right now,
right now, easily. I mean I think it's a little
too good to be honest with. Well, probably, but that's
again again, that's what those the cards we were dept.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yeah, you just do what you with. What you did,
you got to work with here, and that's what we
had to work with. We could have actually done better.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Than that receiver. Things bother me.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Anyways, let's get to a break. He is Matt, don't
call him receiver. Williamson I'm Dale Lollie. You're listening to
the Drive here on the Steelers Audio Network, and of
course you can hear the Drive every Monday through Friday
right here on these very airwaves. You can also download
the Steelers mobile app wish I'd here right now, and

(20:22):
you can watch the show on YouTube and look, I
would expect our YouTube numbers next week. Oh you're missing out.
We want to comments. It's a good chance to interact.
I get on there a lot and go back and
forth with people, answer questions to all that stuff. Matt
doesn't because he would spell receiver wrong. But I get
mad at all you people do. Anyways, let's get to

(20:43):
a break. We'll be back with more right after this.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
At least he's the Drive with Dale Lolly and Matt
Williamson on your twenty four to seven Home of the
Black and Gold cast in Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Welcome back. I am Dale Lolly. He is the Matt
Williamson and Matt the Daniel.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Daniel.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Jeremiah has updated his top fifty. Oh I didn't coming
out of the combine. Lots of movement, really okay, lots
of movement okay, kind of gives you an idea of
this draft.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
How draft is right? Like that?

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Not a lot of movement at the top, but that
middle part I could leave.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Because there was a lot of ties. Yeah. I mean,
you don't want to be too overreact to the combine,
but you can't help yourself in some ways too. You
get more information now, yeah, true.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
So he still has Abdol Carter at number one, still
has Travis Hunter at number two, still has Asting Genty
at three. I get that Mason Graham remains at four,
although I've seen some people sliding with him. I don't
love him. I don't either, but I'm not sure who
my four would be. He's got short arms, he doesn't
play the run that well. He's only two ninety five.

(21:58):
He's not a very good athlete. I mean, like that's
usually not the fourth best player in the draft. But
he hasn't been productive.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Oh yeah, yeah, I'm not say he's bad at the game.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
But you know, Tyler Warren stays at five.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
I give him a perspect for that. I mean, Tyler
Warren's a high quality prospect.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Colston Loveland, he's up to him every step, moves up
a spot to six, who's a really good weapon.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
But I think it also kind of epitomizes that that
area of the draft's not as good as actually he is.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Jalen Walker moves down to spot to seven, and apparently
he's not going to work out of this pro day
now because he's.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Got an injury. So oh really okay?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
John A. Barron moves up to eight, a spot ran
better than I think anybody.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
Yeah, I mean he's not huge, but boy, he's a
really good player too.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Will Campbell bumps down a spot to nine.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
I mean, if you're a team like the Bears, I
don't think you can take Will Campbell now. No, I
mean you'll need to right right, cam Warden, I mean
like a tackle only teah, you know, right?

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Yeah, cam Ward's a ten Armand Membo moves up seven
spots to eleven.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
I think he'd be my number one offensive lineman. He's
a right tackle only though. He's so quick and powerful
and low. I think he might be a great If.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
You're going to bang Campbell for having short arms, Membo's
arms are shorter.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
I know. I think Membo is a better, more explosive athlete.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
I think they're both really athletic. And Campbell's a little taller.
I think he can maybe stick on the left side.
Maybe maybe twelve. Is weird that those are you guys
you're talking about the best let line.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Well that's that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Yeah, over both of them, without a doubt.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah, I think Roderick Jones over both of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Twelve is g Hud Campbell. Okay.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
Thirteen down two spots. Will Johnson. I'd like to know
what he runs.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
Yeah, but I mean, if you would you take him
or Baron? I think I take Johnson, and I really
like Baron. Yeah, Johnson was a superstar in their national title.
Without a doubt. Yeah, reminds me like Stingley.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
You might get it, you might get a great bargain
on him, right right. Fourteen up five spots. Omari and Hampton.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I know there's he's definitely going in the first round.
There's so much buzz around these all those dudes are
saying Hampton's closer to gent than he is the number
three guy. I don't know if I believe that, but
I think he's going in the first round.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Fifteen up, seven spots. Matthew Golden. As much as I
like him, he doesn't play le Xavier Worthy, you know,
like he's fast, on film, but he's not like, oh
my god, that's the fastest guy in the But there's
a little bit of there's a little bit of Justin
Jefferson here. Yeah, that everybody thought Justin Jefferson all he's

(24:44):
going to be a four, four, five or five guy
somewhere in that range. Because you didn't see it in college.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Yeah, yeah, nobody know he has it.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Nobody runs him down now in the pros, like, yeah,
all of a sudden, he goes out and he runs
a four to three something, you know.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
And bees, oh he's fast. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Matthew Golden's fast.
Some you know.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I really struggled with Matthew. We did our rankings for tomorrow.
I'm like, and this was before he ran. Yeah, I
like Matthew Golden better or Tep McMillan better.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
So I remember having the conversation, I like Golden better
than and I think we close. Yeah, pre Combine, I
thought it was a semi conversation, but I definitely preferred Golden.
Post Combine. My last said, you you edited it. I
guess my last sentence of Golden was he's nipping on

(25:34):
t Max heels to be number one. I had him
at two, but I was I went back and forth.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Putting him at two as well. But it's close and
it was size. Yeah, it's close. Teed McMillan moves down
two spots to six Golden now ahead of them.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
I get tap tape's really good.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Uh he is Ekuba at seventeen now up six spots.
I don't know what change for him.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
He didn't. I didn't do anything, and do anything. The
guys around and fell a little bit or probably heard
some stuff.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yeah, eighteen down three spots. Shad or Sanders, I think
that's kind.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
I mean if Ward was ten, so he's not bumping
guys up on positional right, Yeah, I mean, it's just
where he ranks in history. You know Hampton was high. Yeah.
I don't think Sanders was on the top thirty or
forty best players in this draft.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
At nineteen, up six spots, Nick, amme, you worry.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
We have to have a conversation about him too. At
some point. Would you consider him at twenty one? I
would not. If free agency went crazy, well I might.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Well that was that's a different conversation.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
But I mean if they had.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
A cornerback, a wide receiver. No, I'm not in a quarterback. No,
I'm not. I just I think that's that's a piece.
That's that's something you do if you're one player away
or you you think your roster is set, and I
don't know that this roster is set.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
I need. I want to come out of this. I
got to come out.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Of this with a defensive tackles who's a potential.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
The thing is you're almost have to take a d
tackle in round two. Yeah, I mean with a pick
like that. See, I was thinking more along the lines.
If you move from twenty one to twenty six and
I got three Day two picks, and I can a
special player. Here's my problem with that. Include starts in
that too.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Is m a safety? Is he a big nickel? Is
he a linebacker? Because how many of these guys, if
we have to see come into the league that people
don't know what position they play. They come into the
league and for five years.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
I don't think he's Isaiah Simmons, they don't hit who
was none of the above? Yeah, you know, to your point,
I think he's my big slot now or my slot
period the day I draft him and then go from there. Potentially,
I'm not saying I'm jumping on them. But if a
special talent falls in your lap, kind of like the
Ravens did when the Notre Dame hamblty right right right,

(28:02):
it's like at some point to say thanks uh.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
At twenty down four spots, mikel Williams head rusher out of.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Georgia, I'm not blown away by him.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
At twenty one down four spots, Mike Greeney edge rusher
out of Marshall.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Interesting the edge guys yet, dude, yeah either? It just
went crazy.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
At twenty two down a spot, James Pierce.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
Some of his stuff was great, but I.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Think he moved down because other guys moved up. Maybe
there are some other guys that moved up several spots
like Hampton.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
He is so smooth that he is he is. He
looks like a small forward.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
At twenty three down ten spots, Tyler Booker.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Real bad combine, but he's a big mashing guard. I
don't care one bit about.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
I'm not interested in taking that in the first round.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
I'm not either. The thing everyone raves about him, to
his credit is he's like a will Anderson like type leader,
like the Minka the Bama team. There's somebody said that,
but the guys that mock him in like the top twelve,
I'm like, come on, man, you know, I mean, he's
just a big mashing guard. He's not Allen Fanic, and
he's not a special player. He's not hot. She's not Fanicut,
you know.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Right At twenty four up five spots, Gray's abel he
might be the.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
Better player just in terms of it's certainly wait right
right right tables really impressive.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
At twenty five up nine spots, Malachi Starks.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
I'm a big believer in his two Like people are
like you had a bad conebye, I'm like he had
the highest miles per hour of anyone in the running.
I mean his forties weren't great. He's super smooth out
there too.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Twenty six holding steady, Derek Harmon.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
Still on the fence. If I would pull the trigger
twenty one or not?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
At twenty seven up a spot, Shamar Stewart.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
I'm surprised he's not higher, but I give DJ credit
for don't count the athleticism twice you knew he was an.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Happy At twenty eight down eight spots, Kenneth Grant.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
He didn't do anything to hurt himself, but other people
did stuff, did stuff yeah. Right.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
At twenty six, sig mean up twenty nine down five
take him at twenty one. I would do twenty nine
down five spots. Calvin Banks Junior.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
I think that's fair. He might be a guard. He
might be a guard too. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
At thirty holding Steady Donovan azurekust.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
College, I think he could be in the first round
to a good team Bills or somebody like that.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
At thirty one, up two spots, Luther Burden the third.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I think I have him a head of Ecuba. I
do too. Okay, do we have the same top four?
We must then t mac Golden, Yeah, Burden Acuba. We
had different five, though I had a tough time. I
knew who my five was going to be.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Uh. At thirty two, up eleven spots, Maxwell Hairston.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
I guess you didn't put Hunter in there either. I
did not. I'm not gonna put in my corners either.
I'm put him.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
I'll put him in my corners, right, and I think
that's what his primary position.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
I do too, But at it thought gives an opportunity
to write four or five mourners up. Yeah, yeah, who
who's last game? Actual? Hairston? Hey, I could see him
going in the first round too, Yeah, after that combine.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
At thirty three, up two spots. Trevon Henderson, the Ohio
State running back.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
I don't think it's crazy for him to go in
the first round if the Chiefs could somehow like get
their O line somewhat serviceable and you use like the
thirty first pick on.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
That guy at thirty four, down seven spots, Walter Nolan.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
I think he's hearing things off the field. Yeah, that's
just the rumblings.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Here's the thing too, again with this draft, once you
get past to me like that top ten, yeah, you
could throw a blanket over the next fifty guys. So
it's going to be what do you need?

Speaker 3 (31:49):
What do you need?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
They're all going to be running pretty closely. I know
you have to put a number on them in rankings,
but the grades are all going to be similar.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Yeah, I could see that, even the top ten in seven, eight, nine,
I'm not Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Thirty five down four spots is Josh Simmons, the offensive tackle.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
He's the one.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
I think you go to the roof still thirty six
up a spot. Quinn Shawn Jenkins, Wow, the Ohio State
running back.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I'm highly interested in the second round on him. Yeah,
I don't think he makes a difference. Uh.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
At thirty seven, down a spot is Mason Taylor, the
tight end out of LSU.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
A big fan, big fan. I think he's been a
really good player.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Thirty eight, up two spots is Josh Connery, the offensive
tackle out of Oregon.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
I know this isn't where he's predicting they go, but
he'll go. He's got to get past the Chiefs. He's
the end of the round. Yeah, he's gonna get drafted
in the first roof they lose Stanley, He's not gonn
get past the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Thirty nine, down seven spots. Donovan Jackson, the Ohio State
offensive lineman.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Okay, he screams early second round to me.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Forty up two spots is Jackson Dart.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Any chance he goes the first I think there's a
chance he goes in the first round. I think he's
more of the Levis early second and early trades up
that gets shut out type guy. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
I could see Cleveland passing on a quarterback and taking him.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Into Giants can't get the one, or Jets move up,
or you.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Know at forty one he was unrated before Trey Amos,
cornerback out of Mississippi.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
I think he's I like both the Mississippi dudes, him
and Harris the receiver. We've been given those guys a
whole lot of talk over the month or so, but
both would be decent Steelers.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
At forty two, down four spots, AZERI A. Thomas, the
cornerback out of Florida State.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Yeah, he ran, well, it was down, but that's okay.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
At forty three, down two spots, Josh Farmer, Florida.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
State to fire. I forgot he had him in the
top fifty. Yeah, I think that's deserved.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
At forty four holding steady, Benjamin Morrison, the Notre Dame cornerback.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
He's had two or three hip injuries for a scary yeah.
I mean that's a terrible spot for that position.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
At forty five holding steady is Elijah Rojo, the Miami
tight end.

Speaker 3 (33:58):
Okay, I don't know if he'd be for everybody though.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
At forty six, down seven spots, Carson Swesssinger, UCLA linebacker
forty seven. He was unrated before Landon Jackson, the Arkansas addresser.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
He had a really good he was impressed, a super athletic,
super athletic. Yeah, I think he's an edge.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
At forty eight, down a spot. Caleb Johnson, the Iowa
running back, didn't have a.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Great combine, but I didn't really expect them to.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
I don't seem to like him as much as a
lot of Steeler fans did. I agree, I can get guy,
bigger guy. I can get a big guy in this
draft who can actually run.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
He is a good zone runner.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
He has which I'm not saying he stinks or anything
like that. But if I'm gonna move on from Naujy Harris,
I don't want Nause Harris clone necessarily. Yeah, and I'm
not saying he is yeah, athletically, I think they're they're similar.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
And I wouldn't run to the podium in the second round.
If that was your best option in the second round,
I'd say, okay.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
But like if I'm if I had to make a
choice between him and Trayvon Henderson, I'm taking Henders.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Taking Henderson even if he isn't the big back, I
would change what I want from the position, right right,
I mean too, I think he was in my top five,
but he was like.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
He didn't miss him. He didn't make my top five.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Yeah, okay. The two Ohio State dudes, he just missed,
but he didn't make much. I think he was five,
but he was a distant fifth for me.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Forty nine up a spot is Darius Alexander.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Huh. I think he's a better prospect than the run back. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
And then fifty is he was unranked before. That's a
Purdue offensive tackle, Marcus Boukay.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
I don't know if he's a tackle either, but.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Maybe the guys you dropped out. Chavon Ravel, the cornerback
out of East Carolina.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
I wonder if he's hearing bad medical stuff. He was
at forty six.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
Somebody guys move up other guys at the movie.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
I think he's a miraculous talent.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Jack Sawyer, the edge rusher out of Ohio State, who is.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
At forty eight. I don't think he's good.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
And Charles Gray, the offensive tackle on of William Mary
who he had at forty nine.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
What's the Michigan tackles first day? Right? We sure they're
not both, Charles Grant.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Maybe that's where your ideas got Kenneth.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
Yeah, yeah, I'm just wrong, all of you from the beginning. Yeah,
I'm just flat out wrong. Yeah, Okay, okay, receivers.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Yeah, when you put this video together, Tyler, I make
sure you spell Matt can't spell receivers right and spell
receivers wrong when you do it with a red swigged lineup.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
Anyways, that was DJ's new top fifty.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Some changes there, a lot of changes, Yeah, guys moving
around based on Again, I think in this draft once,
once you get past that top tennis.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
In any order, I'd love it was some extra second
day pick.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
We did our final mock draft last year for the
triple take the day of the draft. Yeah, the last
one that we did, and we got pretty well. We
got twenty six of the names wrecked right, who went
in the first in the first round would have been
twenty seven if you would have done the proper thing
and taken bon Knicks. But I gave him Rock Bowers,

(37:10):
who was but them bone phenomenal, But them Bone Nicks
drops out of the first round, which he shouldn't.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
Well, I think we're all to blame for that then,
I mean that was there for him.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Who else was going to take him if he didn't
go there?

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Brock Bowers was not a bad pick for them, Brock.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
That's I'm not saying brock Bowers was a bad pick,
but bow Knicks was somebody that I had mocked to
Denver the entire.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
To be critical call pursuit up for taking Tony Franklin.
That was the worst pick. Yeah, he went like one hundred.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Yeah, you and I wanted Dejeene. We would have had
twenty seven, though, yes, it's better. That's like having eleven
on your dial.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Even this goes to eleven.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
And I will say Degene should have been in there too,
and we were, well, we were not wrong on that.
Oh no, we had him in the first round. I'm
saying we went first.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Weren't wrong, right, Okay, first while we missed on him,
but were smarter than the league on that one. Yeah,
but yeah, bo Nicks should have gone there. And then
you know, right, but the Falcons screwed everything up by
taking it.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
That's how it always goes.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Yeah, all right, So anyways, that was DJ's top fifty
three point zero. Let's get to another break. He is
the Matt Williamson. I am Dale Lolly. You're listening to
the drive here on the Steelers Audio Network. We'll be
back with more right after this.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Least, he's the drive with Dale Lolly and Matt Williamson
on your twenty four to seven Home of the Black
and Gold Steelers Nation Radio.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
And welcome back. I am Dale Lolly, he is the
Matt Williamson and Matt we haven't really talked about the
DK Metcalf gred request and apparently the Seahawks asking for
a first round pick and more all right, they're not
going to get it. No, nor would I be interested
if I'm the Steelers in giving up a first round pick.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
And more No. I heard they were offered two thirds.
I think that's about the going right, Yeah, you know,
maybe a second Yeah, depending where that isn't it? Yeah?
I think that's what he could get is a contract too, right.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
You know, if you're the Seahawks and you've already moved
on from Blockett Scholar Lockett, right, and you're also now
considering moving on from DK Metcalf, does that signal that
you're kind of rebuilding.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
I think that's what he thinks and kind of wants out.
And that's kind of the writing on the wall. And
I always thought you could you could probably wate Geno
Smith if you wanted, saying.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Yeah, Regino Smith become available.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
I mean, I think they knew when they made these
coaching hires and changes one year ago that this offseason
was going to be really rough against the cap, and.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Last year might have bought Okay, you gotta showed you
can coach. Yeah, yeah, I'll get you to get through this.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
And yeah, I mean I think they thin think they're
rebuilding minor step back, not Brown Saints level disaster, you know, situation.
They're kind of a weird team that way. I'm not
exactly sure what they think they are. I mean, if so,
should they draft a quarterback really high? Or I mean,

(40:18):
I think Gina is only a one year left on
his deal. He's not young. There's nobody close to waiting
in the wings. I mean, they can't convince me Howel's
that guy? I don't know. I mean, you keep hearing
the Packers are interested in DK Metcalf, which makes all
sense in the world to make I mean, to get out, Yeah,
Watson number one looks like for them they would have

(40:39):
to trade one of the young guys. Yeah, I heard
think something like Dobbs in a three or something like that.
But if I'm Seattle, I wouldn't mind a young player
back because receiver cabinet's pretty barrel of a sudden, i'd
want Jayden Reid though I would too, but I wouldn't
want to get rid of him, right, But you got
to get your number one right, right right? I don't

(41:00):
know who. I mean, I might rather have Read than
Metcalf straight up for the for the price and age
and all that kind of stuff. I don't know, you
get much more sprinkled in. I don't know. I mean,
I think Metcalf does get moved. I mean, that's been
talked about for quite a while. Maybe it's a Draft
day trade. I mean, it's it sure seems like there's
gonna be a lot of receiver movement. Yeah, I mean,

(41:20):
would you do it if you were like the Patriots?
You spend money, so we're not going to give up.
I'm giving up. You're not giving up a second, right, Yeah?
I might give you a third and third next year? Yeah,
Seattle say yes to that. I don't know, Seattle just
in a weird spot. I know that's kind of where
you're going with this. And I don't know what they
think they are. They're not terrible. You could trade them.

(41:41):
Joe Milton too. Everybody seems to want him I'd make
that part of the deal, Milton and a three sign
me up if I were them. Yeah, what would you?
I mean, do you see any fit with the Steelers,
more so if it's Wilson than Fields. Yeah, but I
wouldn't say. I just don't know that. You can have.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
Metcalf and George Pickens on the same team and it's not.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
Be don't necessarily have to not because I.

Speaker 2 (42:09):
Think they're they're bad locker room guys, but they're both
very volatile on the field.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
They're also similar on the field.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
They're very similar on the field, and you would be
very dangerous on the outside.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
Yeah, absolutely, you would be. You'd be a pain in
the butt to play again. You'd see a lot of
Cover two and a lot of too high safety, no question,
and that would affect your running game, like I wouldn't
turn my nose up at it. Would you use the
second straight up today? That's rich.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
I need to get a running back right, right right, and.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
Then you're getting in the third round Land and then
you're not getting Jenkins or maybe get Caleb Johnson, who
we just said is okay. You know, like I didn't
upgrade at running back. If you're starting in the third round. Yeah,
but you have DK Metcalf. But you have DK Metcalf,
I mean if you I don't know Pickens is on
the tree block or not. But if I traded for

(43:01):
DK Metcalf and I could turn Pickens into a two plus.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
I don't think you're gonna get a two for him, though.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
Who do you think is worth more on the open market?
I think Pickens is. I think Metcalf is. I don't
think with the contract, but they're in the same day.
But you're gonna have to pay Pickens. Oh I know
which is the new team? Yeah, the new team is
gonna have to pay him.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
So therefore you might as well have traded the contract
at least if you're the team getting Metcalf. Seattle paid
all the bonus.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
They paid the bonus, which is nice. Yeah, he's a
little older. He's also been more productive. Right, you know
what you're gonna get probably better in the locker room.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
This is this is the thing with with Pickens is
like everybody else sees how he's the issue, No question,
I sees that he sees him with the EyeBlack on.
They see him throwing the ball, opponents, they see him
fighting guys constantly you see that stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
and you don't know the guy at all. You don't
say you might no relationship.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
I mean there might be times where like, if you're
on the sideline, you might be like, I get where
George is coming from, but if you was watching from far,
he might be like, no, thanks.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
The only team I could like, you know, if you're
a team that that you know has a guy that
was at Georgia, which would be Todd Monkin, Yeah, he
knows the player, but you're not traded him to the Ravens.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
No. I mean every team in the league has a
former teammate of Pickens, but that's not exactly your reference point, right,
And frankly, you don't want to trade them to like
the Chiefs or Bills. No.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
I mean that's the times I think would be ideal
trade them out of the conference and say, okay, you
deal with it.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Yeah. Again, if I were gaining metcalf, I would probably
want to move Pickens and make and to make money
in the deal.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
Which even take you out of maybe adding another receiver. Still,
so what are you doing. You just gave up a
second round pick or whatever you gave up. You still
need to draft a receiver because you're going to move
Pickens away. Now you're going to get a pick back
for Pickens.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
But I was doing that under the assumption that I
would get more for Pickens than I gave up. I
don't think you will. I don't know. I'm not say
yes or no. I just don't know.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Yeah, I mean, it only takes one team. But if
teams are talking about giving up two picks for Metcalf,
you're not getting two picks.

Speaker 3 (45:10):
You don't think you get two thirds out of pickings. No,
I mean a future third and this year third.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
In with this draft, which I don't. I want to
at receivers, I don't. I mean there's like, there's like
eight receivers in this draft that I actually think I like,
and the rest of them just like eh, whereas in
previous I think we're agreeing here, Okay, in previous years,
there's like twenty about I got him in a third round.
That's why the team, including the Steelers, might want a

(45:37):
trade for receivers supposed to go fishing. Now you're talking
about trading for one and then giving one away, so
you're back where you were. That doesn't solve anything. Now,
what if you ran with both of them, then you're
gonna get Uh. I don't know about a dozen unsportsman
like penalties over the course of next year.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
Or win more games.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
You might, but you're gonna get it right, right, A
dozen unsportsmen like pa my wide.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Receiver coach and head coach and all these things. I
don't know. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I had to.
I don't think he's for me to be honest with
you in metcalf here, but I would understand it.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yeah, I think he. I think he ends up being
a reader.

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Tyler just said, Uh, Evan Ingram is getting released. Yeah, okay, okay,
I mean they move on from Kurt. It's such a
jag move. They signed these guys and the cut them
to They rent everybody, yeah, I mean even their drafted
Why a.

Speaker 2 (46:31):
Player would even want to sign there? I know, Well,
it looks good over three years, fifty four million. You
ain't seeing all fifty four million of that. No.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Ever, Ingram's gonna be sought after on easy.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Look at that free agent list a couple of days
from now when they updated, He's going to be a
top twenty player.

Speaker 3 (46:49):
I bet they like strange, which I didn't understand why
they took him the second.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Everybody likes strange. People are strange, but yeah, I get it. Anyways,
that's going to do it for today's show.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
But there's stuff happening all the time, all us.
