Speaker 1 (00:15):
We'll get into our five.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
US record for the Steelers now that we know for
a fact that a Rod is going to be the
Steelers quarterback. But here's just a couple of little other
nuggies and things that I wanted to go over before
we get to that.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
T J. Watt did not come to mandatory.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
No, he did not, But he's not the only one
around the league, and I think I'm most comfortable with
his situation among like this big sit outs like Terry
and Trey Hendrickson.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, I just think that this there's got to be
some sort of like a mutual like thing with the
Steelers and Wat where it's like, you know what, we
don't care if you're here, and even if we extended
into mini camp, like we don't necessarily mind Tj. If
you don't work out with the team and you hold
in through the first couple of preseason games of training
camp like you did the last time this was happening,
(01:11):
and then we'll give you the deal. Because they're gonna
give him the deal, like they're gonna make him forty
million dollar man, the highest paid player past Miles Garrett.
It's just I think it's inevitable that that's gonna happen.
Everybody just seems to think that it's just a matter
of time. So if you're not gonna make that matter
of time now and you're gonna have that same movie
kind of play out then as a team standpoint, I
(01:33):
feel like there's just a reason for that or just
like a, well, we don't have to do it, and
we won't until it gets to this point. Let's get
you know, kind of things in house at Saint Vincent.
And I don't know, but I don't think that there
is really like a standoff. I mean, it's it's I
guess it's kind of playing out that way from somebody
looking at it from the national perspective from the outside,
(01:54):
they would probably run with that and say that there
is a standoff, right, But I just I just don't
think that it's gonna end in any way that like
the Steelers will tell TJ no play on this contract
or he holds out or doesn't play in games. Like
I just think that it's gonna be, you know, August
twenty fourth, and we're gonna get a notification on our
(02:14):
phone that TJ, Watt and Steelers agree to this, and
then TJ talks to the media that day at camp
and away we go, right, Like, I just I feel
like that is almost obvious for me that that that's
what's gonna happen, And.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
So it really just feels like a waste of time.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
To talk about, like, oh my god, like will they
won't they pay him? What if they trade him? What
if they do this? What if you just make him
play it out in franchise tag him? Or from TJ's perspective,
like oh what if the money's not good enough? Or
what if he doesn't want to sign with pep blah
blah blah. Like just feels like all that is moot
because it's just gonna happen the same way we saw it,
and then hopefully the aftermats the same way we saw
(02:51):
it last time too, because that led to the sack
record being tied and the Defensive Player of the Year
award being won in the immediate year after signing his
last big contract. But he's gonna get the big money
in him missing mandatory mini camp, eh fooye. I don't
really care about it, to be honest with you, what
does t J. Watt need out of mandatory man Rogers
needs a lot more out of mandatory mini camp right now,
new quarterback, new system offense, is a lot more catching
(03:13):
up to do to get to that defensive side of
the ball for the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
And then what does happen to be there? Guy? You
know what? You know what? There more and more reps
for her big in uh jest, sure too? Yeah right.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
See, So throughout the whole Rogers process, you were saying
that there was no like, oh under the table kind
of agreement between Rogers and the Stealers saying, oh, we
we have this thing signed, sealed, delivered, but we're not
just gonna get it done now to like for whatever
purpose is right, That's what you were saying throughout this
(03:45):
whole waiting process for Rogers, that it wasn't like a signed, sealed,
delivered deal. We're just gonna wait a little bit longer
to get this thing done, like an unspoken agreement, right.
I feel like that's that is the case though for TJ.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I don't know if it's an unspoken agreement.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I just think kind of they know they're gonna pay him,
that he's gonna get paid the money, and I it's
just a fact, like he will pass Miles Garrett and
I think he will be made a very happy man.
And now he just gets a little bit of an
extra summertime at home with this kid.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
He just had a kid.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I mean, it's just a great time of your life. Yes,
he had a kid.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
But at the end of the season, remember she was
due around the Super Bowl, and everybody was kind of like,
oh my god, what if we go to the Yeah, right,
how dare you say it like that? But uh yeah,
I mean he's just enjoying time at home. So TJ
will get here at training camp and then TJ will
sign a contract soon after he gets here at training camp.
The Bungles though, Yeah, what the hell are they doing?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Well, not just with Tray Henderson and Shamar Stewart and
Shamar Stewart right now, apparently with.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Stuart it's a language thing in his contract. Yeah, he
was saying the injury thing. Like her, he doesn't get
as much guaranteed money.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Well, he was a higher pick this year than Amarius
Mims was the year before and whoever the guy was
in the first round for the for them the year
before that, And I guess he's getting less guarantee money
than they are. And he's like, well, what the hell
you put you took me with a higher pick than
those two guys. Why are you giving me less money,
(05:21):
especially at a position that you'd need more desperately. And
I think there is a little bit with the injury
language too. There's just stuff that he wants to run.
And again, talking to Matt, we were talking about like
what are they doing? And he was like, the Bengals
are just an organization that does this, Like this is
kind of stuff that I feel like other organizations their
first round pick would say, and it would just they
wouldn't even get public that they there. They just be like, yeah, yeah,
(05:42):
we'll do it, like we'll give it to you, like
Steelers Derek Carmon just happened to them. They'd be like, yeah, whatever,
we'll give you a little's funny, work it out. Like
the Bengals just are almost into that holdout pattern like no,
we're gonna be a stingy organization and not give you
any money immediately with this guy like right from Jump Street.
So I don't understand what their thought process is with him,
And to be quite frank with you, I don't understand
(06:03):
what their thought process is with Trey Hendrickson either. He's
the only good defensive player that they have on their roster.
He led the league in sacks last year. Give him money,
make him paid like he deserves to be paid.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
You and you know what, people will say, Well, what
about when you talk about what if you do get
into that conversations said, well, steel should have Steeers pay
Wat Probably not. They probably shouldn't. They should probably move
on from him. They should try to trade him, They
should tranchise tag him. Why would you do the same
with Troy under contractors play out of the contract Because
I think the Bengals window is a little bit more
open than the Steelers window right now because they got
the quarterback and they got the high powered offense. They
(06:39):
need anything they can get on the defensive side of
the ball. So why would you let your guy Trey
Hendrickson walk? I think that's very foolish of them, and
I think that they are being really just a poorly
run organization. This is supposed to be the time for
the Bengals where things are great.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Right.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
You just signed Higgins, you just Chase, You've got Burrow
for his second contract already. You know it's time to
win in Cincinnati. An exciting season in front of us.
But instead it's just the same old Well, they're not
paying Trey Hendrickson, they have their first round pick holding out.
It's just negativity that is surrounding this Bay, this football team.
(07:19):
So I think Cincinnati is being incredibly stingy. I think
that Cincinnati needs to recognize that their defense doesn't have
to be great, but they got to get guys on
it that can make it just adequate if they do
want to get to the playoffs. Again, Yeah, forty points
per game is very lofty, even for an offense.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Like that, even if Burrow is determined as hell to
come back and say, hey, we were one game away
from getting to the playoffs, not even like they won
their last game of the season, but they just missed
out on the tiebreaker.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
They were so close.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
And what I'm going to come back with the vendetta
against the rest of the league and play like, play
like my life depends on it and score forty five points. Well,
it doesn't matter if your defense is gonna let up
forty five to fifty points every week. Again, like, you
just cannot afford that. If you're Cincinnati. I know he's great,
an all time great, right now, Joe Burrow. But you
(08:17):
can't rely on him to score forty five points week
in week out for the entire season.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
You just can't. Nope, it didn't work.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Last year he went one of the greatest seasons we've
seen from a quarter He would have won the MVP
last year if they got in.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Even if they got in and lost that first game
doesn't matter, you get in.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Maybe if they snuck in, he would have won it.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
But I wonder so, like side side quest here, I
wonder if that would start to change, because now people
are saying, well, is Paul Skans deserving of winning the
sign young if his win losses.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Baseball is different.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
I understand it's different, but I think it's there's.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
An MVP in baseball too, a different award.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yeah, there's not like a I mean, but I think
you can say, like MVP is kind of the quarterbacks award,
and then Offensive Player of the Year is just an
offense of guy, and you.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
I guess it certainly is now a quarterback.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
I think there's some credit to that that.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
I don't think you'll ever see somebody in the NFL, though,
not make the playoffs and get MVP unless it's already happened,
and I just spoke.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
But if it has already happened, it will never happen again.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
And that's how I just thought it was an interesting
parallel relevant to the people of Pittsburgh with Paul Skeans
having an incredible season again, all.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Right, before we get to this record, I'll give you
two guys that are out to change the narrative on them,
and you tell me which one you're going with who
can actually do it. Bresall from the Jets wants to
prove he's the guy after a disappointing twenty four season
and some trade rumors starting to swirl around him. And
they have Braylon Edward or Braylan Allen too. Remember they
actually did have the words back in the day, it's true.
(09:47):
But they add Braylen Allen behind Bresall, who's not a
pretty bad back himself. And then uh, Deontay Johnson said
he's out to change the narrative on his career year after.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
I wish you would have given me Deontay first, because
I just would have said, whoever the second guy is,
just give me the second guy. But the point still stands.
I think it is more likely to be because guess
what Bristol is showing up in New York. What did
Deontay Johnson do last week? Opted not to show?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
But you did show up to minicamp.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Great, it's called mandatory. Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Did you hear what Joe Flacco said about TikTok?
Speaker 3 (10:25):
No?
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah, he's like, no, TikTok. He's like, you know what,
He's like, I don't understand how kids these days. I don't.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
I didn't see himself out there and he goes grow up.
He said, grow up, you're an adult.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I saw Dylan Gabriel like, ask him to recreate this photo.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
I saw that with the guy the defensive players that
did a photo for Browns or maybe it was a
wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Other players on the team did a photo.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Yeah, Joe Gabriel was like, hey, can you do this
with me? And black I was like, I guess.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
I was like, you're gonna be cutting like four.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
It's like you know that, right, So again you know
they're making you take pictures.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Dylan tracking stats.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
In in many camps or or OTAs is such a
unnecessary thing to do, but someone's doing it in Cleveland,
and I guess the numbers in Cleveland are just ridiculous,
Like Gabriel barely has any reps, meaningful reps. Kenny's numbers
look terrible, Flacco's numbers look mediocre, and then Shador apparently
(11:20):
is like head and shoulders above everyone else. Of course, right,
but that's just you know again that stats for mini camp.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
And OTAs, that's Dion. That's getting a narrative out there.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
All right, let's do this win lost.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
You throw a tie in there, all right, we start.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
At the New York Jets.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
I before had this as a win, and I am
going to keep this as a win.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
I'm gonna say win too.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
I'm gonna say this is a win.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I think that the Steelers defense, even if Rodgers isn't
up to speed, or if the Steelers offense struggles to click.
I think a lot of offenses struggle to click early
in seasons. But here's my thing with Rogers, or excuse me,
with the Steelers and the Jet. The defense for the Steelers,
I think it's just gonna beat the hell out of
Justin Fields. I don't think they don't like Justin Fields,
but I think there's gonna be a lot of pride
(12:08):
there for them. To be like, we're not getting punked
by the guy that just left the team. So I
think the Steelers defense wins that game at the very least,
and maybe Rogers balls out and has a little bit
of vengeance against the Jets too. But I got Steelers
taking that one against the Jets in New York, going
on the road and winning the ultimate revenge game. Boy, man,
if they lose, what a big game all of a sudden,
right out of the gate.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Like I think it was a big game already.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
But if they lose that game, Jacob, there is now
that it's Rogers versus Fields. There is in the media
seat of like, oh, you screwed up Pittsburgh, Like you
should have gone with Fields, right, Even if the season
plays out completely opposite of that and Rogers plays well
and Fields does not, and the Steelers getting the playoffs
and the Jets don't at least for that first week, right,
like that knee jerk reaction is gonna be like, oh,
(12:52):
Jets got the better Jets were the one that got
the best decision.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
The Jets beat Rogers.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
The NFL I think took a gamble putting that Week one,
and boy, did that gamble really pay off for them,
because that is just drum. That's one o'clock, that one
one o'clock right away, right, they're talking the biggest drum.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
I honestly wonder.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Now if they kind of a sneaky, sneaky regret not
making that at least Monday night football, like having the prob.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Well, I was gonna say that one plus the Green
Bay Sunday.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Night game that's already Sunday night.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Well, I'm saying, but like now, it's it's even better
because you got Rogers against his old team on Sunday night.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
So we both have that as a win.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Both have that as a win against the Jets the
Seahawks at home.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
I'm going win again.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
I'm gonna go win now too.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I actually had this as a loss the last time
that I did this exercise. I thought that they would
come home maybe a little bit high off of the
win against the Jets with Rudolph at quarterback, and then
they would have a letdown against Darnold and the Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
But I don't think.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
I think Rogers might actually start feeling it a little
bit more at home, come out of the tunnel. Sure,
that first game against the Steelers and I think Seattle.
I'm already hearing some rumblings out of Seattle about mill
Row over over Donald, and I've heard people very quickly
be like, that's not gonna happen. But just the fact
that you're kind of being like, there's gonna be some
excitement for mill sure, like there was New England.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
I'm sorry coming I was thinking, say what, sorry, sorry,
I was getting ahead of myself for next week, Say what.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Can we just do the revert rewind button.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
New England?
Speaker 2 (14:32):
So anyway, there's gonna be some buzz for Milroe in Seattle,
and if there's just anything you see from him that's
good in practice, you tempted to hit that switch and
be like, let's go.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Rookie, but that was a contract though it was three years,
a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, alright number.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
So that'd be pretty quick if you hit that button
in week two for them, all right?
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Week three at New England, I had this as a
loss for the Steers. Are you going I'm gonna go
loss again?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
I might say win here.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
I'm gonna go up to Gillette and I'm gonna take
an L for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm gonna say whin
I think that this is just gonna be one of
those sleepy Steelers games, right Like you go to and
Oh against the Seahawks and the Jets. You're feeling good,
you got the Vikings in Ireland on the horizon, and
then all of a sudden, you're up in a really
tight game in New England and Drake May makes a
(15:21):
couple of plays because Drake May is a good quarterback,
and then you're looking at things and you're like, I, Cramba,
we just lost to the Patriots and now we're two
and one going to Ireland.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
I just can see it.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
My logic is is that I think Mike Tomlin and
Rogers versus Rabel.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
I know, he's not a first time head goes first year.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
It's it's not a rookie head coach.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
No, but it's not. He's gotta get a Clint adjusted
back to being in that head coaching spot with a young,
unproven quarterback. I'm not trying to say like, all all
of a sudden, Drake Mean is terrible, but I know
what you mean.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, I just think that the Patriots are gonna be
a stingy er outfit this year, and I think maybe
this is the game. Let me actually look at their
schedule real quick. This might be the game early in
their season that kind of makes.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
People go whoa England like.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Recognize I had trust me. I have this game as
a loss with me, Mason Rudolph of England, and.
Speaker 3 (16:16):
I kind of regret giving it a win because there's
a lot of other wins coming with Rogers.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
They play the Raiders and at Miami before the Steelers. Yeah,
the page, so like.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Even if they beat the Raiders at home against Vegas,
it'll kind of be like a okay, but no one's
really gonna notice. They'll probably lose at Miami, and then
you beat the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
And go two and one. People be like, whoa Patriot?
Is not easy to go up to Foxborough anymore?
Speaker 3 (16:42):
All of a sudden, Well it was, or it never
was except for like three years, and now it's hard again.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Then Week four, that's the Ireland game against the Midicines.
I'm gonna go with an l.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Again on this one. I'm still gonna go with an OL.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Vikings are good, Like the if you think McCarthy is
just even gonna be decent, I think the Vikings are
gonna be a damn good football team. I know it's
gonna be a home away from home game for the
Steelers in Ireland, but I'm gonna go L against I'll say.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
L two because Minnesota is a regular season team.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
They're just a damn good team. I just think they're
just a really good.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
The difference maybe he makes them a good playoff team,
but we won't know that until January.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
So I also I'm also going Week five against the
bye I'm going by we're gonna win against the buye.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
We're gonna have a good bye week, all right, number weeks.
I keep saying number Week six against the Browns, I
gotta win here.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
They're gonna win.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
I'm sorry, pay Pittsburgh, right, yeah, they're gonna win coming
out of their bye week. I mean, that's the easy
pickings right there. That's that might be one of the
easiest games to pick on this schedule. Uh, short week
Thursday night football.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
This is another easy game to piss.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
But it's an L for sure, Like that's an L
you factor in uh right now? Yeah, and you feel
confident that it's gonna happen, and if you win it,
it's a surprise, but you're not expecting to win it.
So they're gonna lose to joke by Route and the
Cincinnati Bengals the first time that they get them that
short week in Ohio. They avoided the Browns this year
Thursday Night football in Cleveland. Remember how they always got
(18:10):
that game.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
They avoided that, but but.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Then they get Cincinnati and Cleveland. This is another.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
A short week on Thursday night football, so you get
the mini bie after that, and then you get a big,
big yeah, Green Bay Packers. I'm going to win against
the Packers. Here's why it's at home. Steelers have a
great track record on primetime games at home with Mike Tomlin.
(18:42):
And I know that the Jets revenge game is in
Week one, but don't you think this is the game
that Rogers wants more than that?
Speaker 1 (18:49):
One? Is the first time he.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Played, because it's the first time he's played.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
He even played a skill game really in his first
season in New York, and then he didn't.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Pay him last this year, so this this is his
first time playing the Packers. Uh. The only thing that
would make it even more intense is if it was
in Lambeau and he had to go back there. But
he's he got a favorite to go through this while
he has to play his ex but I'm gonna go win.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
I think Mike Tomlin has kind of lost his ability to, like,
like you said, last season, like under the lights, big moments.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
It's not his bread and butter as much as it
was a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Week nine, Indianapolis Colts in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
That's a win up for me.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
And you know what, they need to beat the Colts
because they have gone to Indianapolis the past couple of
years and gotten beaten by the Colts in games that
I thought the Steelers were a better team than Indy.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
So god dang it beat the Colts.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
I mean, you were quarterback options this year, Daniel Jones,
you better win that game. You were a better team overall,
and you have the better quarterback no matter what.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
I think, it's gonna be Daniel Jones too. I think Richardson, boy,
what a bad draft pick that was. All Right, here's
a tricky game, West Coast trip at Los Angeles Sunday
night football. I'm going l I'm gonna go lost to
Harbo Chargers. Yeah, it's gonna be a tight game, I think.
But I just think that the uh I think that
the Jades are going to end up prevailing in this one.
(20:20):
And then week eleven is the Bengals coming back to Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Where are you going, I'm gonna go l I think the.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Sweet I'm gonna say they get at least one, so
I'll give the Seelers a win.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
It was in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
I think they're gonna get swept by the Bengals this year.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
I said that they really don't get swept often.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
That's why I want to make the bullet prediction so
I can.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Be The annoying thing that I've I forgot about because
we haven't looked at the schedule week by week in
a while, is that we're at week eleven.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
There's been zero Baltimore game so far, I know.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
And guess what week twelve we're in, So we're not
even playing Baltimore. No, it's week fourteen is where we
first see Baltimore.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Yeah, yeah, I like it.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
I don't like I want to Week four against the Yeah, sure,
Week twelve at the Chicago I'm going I'm going. I'm
going doub because Rogers does not lose in Chicago. Like
he's just not gonna let it happen.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
You know, it's always It's always been funny from Afar
seeing Rogers play in Chicago and saying like, I own you.
It's gonna be even better now having him on our
team and him saying I still own you even from Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Yeah, it's gonna be great.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
And how about I mean there was always those like
little foreshadowing moments in the process. But remember when he
was at that festival, that live podcast thing, Yeah, and
they were like, d you ever play for the Bears
and he was like no, He's like, but.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
There's there's a team here.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
M h yeah, might be taken a visit and then
up you're going to yep. So Rogers and the Bears
is a match.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Made in hell if you're a Chicago fan and there
he's gonna go to Chicago beat them.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Week thirteen, Josh Allen and the Bills Calsburg.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
I didn't even finish. Sorry, now, yeah, I think you
can factor that in as an L. I think they
get an L the next week two when they get
to Baltimore and they'll take a nice L there. So
turbulence right, Oh, oh, it's happening again.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
We're losing.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
So I'm looking.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
At you again, Jacob.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
You have we're going to lose out, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
But not so fast.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Well well, well, well there is. You have them losing
four out of five down that stretch, though me you do.
I have them going two and three, which isn't much better,
but still.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
But then they get the Dolphins on Monday Night football.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
In December, in the middle of December.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
That's the life raft that they didn't have last year
and that's what they're going to grab onto this year.
And Raget is going to beat them, and I got
them getting a dub in this one. This is one
of my easiest games to pick. They're going to beat
the Dolphins on Monday Night football. Maybe two is not
even playing by then. Then you go to Detroit.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
And you know, again you already said you said this
earlier in the season when you were like, oh, easiest,
one of the easiest wins is Cleveland. But then the
next game also easy game to pick, but it's an
l same thing here, easy win to pick against Miami,
but the next week easy al to predict in Detroit,
maybe Rodgers something.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Maybe a little Hail Mary Detroit, but no, I got
them losing that game.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
So that means these next two are huge for the
Steelers at Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
That's got to be they're gonna win that game. I'm
with you.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
They're gonna sweep the Browns this year. And then it
comes down to Wow Baltimore and a Caneen. It's at home,
it's in Pittsburgh. I think they split.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I'm going up.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
I'm gonna go dub in the last week of the season.
Two are you ready to to tally?
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Italian here. You want to do yours, I'll do mine.
Do it in your head, I'll do mine.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
Oh, you're counting out louds. I'm losing the track.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
I'm nine and eight with Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Oh no, oh no, that can't be right. I have
eleven and six.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I don't think you're right.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
I have you at one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
I have you a tenant ten and seven?
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Oh okay, I think I just.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
I was twice or something. Yeah, so you have ten
and seven. I have nine and eight.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
That sounds about right.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
It sounds right where it's always been. It's just a
matter of now winning that playoff game. Right.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
It's like you're always gonna go nine and eight, ten
and seven. Can you finally get over that, hume.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Do you think though they have a shot of like say,
the loss of stands, because I think the losses are
kind of easy to predict where, well, you had New England,
we both had Minnesota, so that we only flopped. No,
we flopped a couple of times. Minnesota is the one
we both predicted a loss. Cincinnati on the road, La
on the road, Buffalo, Baltimore on the road, Detroit on
(24:45):
the road. Difference for us, there was a difference that
New England was a different one as well. And then
I hadn't winning a game in Cincinnati and that was
the one where I got.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
I got one more win on the season than you did.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
Do you see any of them going like potentially in
the Steelers direction that I maybe they get to eleven wins, Like,
do you think that's legit and then maybe you're in
contention for the division?
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Yeah, I mean that's something you know, you look at
schedules sometimes and you think your team can win twelve
of these games, thirteen of these games. Right, it's the NFL, right,
Like you always just factor in just some weird crap
happening and.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
You just not winning games that you're supposed to.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Then you have a quarterback now who can win you
games that you're not supposed to win.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, but they could also win seven.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
I don't think. I just don't. I think the for them,
it's like eight.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
I think nine, maybe even Yeah, the floor for them.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
All right, that'll do it for us. This week, only
one episode week. Sorry about sorry about that. We'll be
back next week.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
I apologize.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Enjoy Oakmont, everybody, enjoy that you United States Open as
it is underway. Today's first round play goes till Sunday,
and we have nothing to really sign off with now.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
No, we we've got everyone on the team.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Now, giddy up. You can go training camp right around
the corner. This has been the Steelers standard on Steelers
Nation Radio and the Steelers Audio Network.
