Speaker 1 (00:04):
Back here on the Steelers Standard with Ed Troup and
Jacob ruct on Steelers Nation Radio, part of the Steelers
Audio Network. We're talking last night's game on Thursday Night
Football between the Steelers and Bengals here all morning. So
let's switch gears, Jacob and go to our renegade preview
Week seven across the NFL. Enough Steeler Bengal talk for now,
Let's jump into the other game in the AFC North.

(00:25):
The Ravens have a bye, so we'll go with the
Cleveland Browns, who return home for the first time in
a long time after a couple after the international game
last week against the Vikings. They are one in five
on the season versus the one in five Dolphins, a
one o'clock game on Sunday, which seems like a local
no brainer that everybody in Pittsburgh's gonna sit down and
watch this game. With the Ravens on a bye and

(00:46):
the Steelers and Bengals have already played last night.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, I mean you want I call it a no brainer?
I might. I might actually turn my attention elsewhere. I'm
gonna take a nap, yeah exactly. I don't know if
I'm gonna be be paying attention to any second of
that game. This game's got zero consequences whatsoever. The only
thing that's worth watching is Shaudor Right, will the Browns

(01:12):
giles so much with Dylan Gabriel that will this be
the game? I think that's just the only reason to
pay attention to the Browns moving forward is when will
Shadoor actually make his debut? Not as a starter, but
he could, you know, easily come in as a reliever
if Dylan Gabriel, you know, has a really bad first half.
But my my, I don't know. My gut feeling is

(01:34):
it won't even happen this game because the Dolphins are
also equally bad. That I have to imagine Dylan Gabriel
will do enough, right, look, look halfway decent enough that
Stefanski doesn't pull him in favor of Shador.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
It's the first home game for the Browns since Week
three against the Packers.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, and maybe that helps Dylan Gabriel playing in front
of a home crowd for the first time of his career.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah. They beat the Packers. The Packers only lost to
the season thirteen to ten back in Week three. Then
the Browns went to Detroit and loss. They went internationally
and played the Vikings in London and lost before losing
at Agrosure Stadium last week. So yeah, first time in
a while that they've been home. Week seven started last
night with Steelers Bengals, but it'll start Sunday early in
the morning once again in an international game, a London game,

(02:20):
the Rams four and two versus the Jaguars four and two.
This should be a good one, Jacob, between these two
teams internationally in London, nine thirty am one Sunday morning.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, I mean we talk about how Thursday night football
games have evolved into better matchups, and the international games
have evolved into better matchups, and I think this is
one of the better ones that will get this year.
The Rams and Jags are both looking to be playoff teams.
I don't know if they'll win their respective divisions, but
they should at least be a wildcard team in consideration

(02:51):
by the end of the year, assuming they stay upright.
So this is one of those games where I think
the international crowd is going to see a good game.
The only thing is about this game that's weird is
the fact that it's an international game, so preparing for
it is always different and also two. It's important to
remember that the Rams could be with al pukin Nakua,
which would be a huge loss for them.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
And the number two wide receiver in the NFL going
into Week seven in Nakula, Matthew Stanford the number one
quarterback going into week seven with over sixteen hundred yards passing,
twelve touchdowns two interceptions. He's having a very good season
for the Rams in part of the big reason why
they're fourn too.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Is this the last international game? I think no, there's
a ton more. I mean, we get we we have
some in like Munich. I think there's one in Berlin.
There's certainly one. I know there's one in Madrid. There's
there's still a couple. Yes, this is the last one
in London. Maybe maybe I think I saw something.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
This might be the last one in London for this
week between the Rams and the Jaguars. Back to the
one o'clock early games, those were by the way again
with the Ravens being on a bye, it's just Dolphins,
Browns having the Steelers and Bengals played last night, so
Saints Bears is our next match up. The one in
five Saints at the three and two Bears and against
Chicago putting together a nice season all of a sudden

(04:01):
after starting zero to two, three straight wins. They beat
the Cowboys at home, they went to Las Vegas. Boy,
I almost gave you all three almost in Oakland, I
almost gave you la and then I finally settled around
a lot. We know that the Las Vegas Raiders they defeated,
and then the Washington Commanders last week twenty five, twenty
four and a good one. Bear's three straight wins and

(04:23):
they face they face a one in five Saints team
at home in Chicago, game in which they should win,
so they could be potentially four wins in a row
and four and two after this week.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, they I mean, they need to talk about a team.
They need to take advantage of stuff. They need to
take advantage of the ability to stack a win here.
Chicago's having a much better start through their year than
I think people expected. Ben Johnson really turning things around
there with that offense, like you mentioned, a very impressive
comfort behind, well, I think comfort behind, but they initially

(04:53):
got out to like that fourteen to nothing lead against
Washington on Monday night. Then they allow Washington to come back,
get into that game, and then the Bears were the
ones that kicked the game winning field goal at the
end of the game. So a really back and forth game,
but the Bears were able to come out on top.
After starting h to two, they're now three and Oh.
They outscored the Dallas offense. You remember that a couple

(05:15):
of weeks ago, and then the Raiders. Not a super
good win, but the fact that they were able to
stack that and then an impressive victory against Washington. Here
they are against New Orleans. You need to win this
game to improve to four and two, especially considering how
competitive the Annacy North is this year.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
A big reason why Chicago's been winning these games is
to play of their quarterback Caleb Williams.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah, doing a lot better under Ben Johnson.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Ninety eight of one hundred and fifty nine pass attempts
eleven hundred over almost twelve hundred yards passing on the season,
nine touchdowns, only two interceptions during this twenty twenty five season,
a big reason why the Bears have now won three straight.
They'll try to make it four in a row this
weekend when they faced the one in five Saints next up.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
No notes on the Saints for you the other I got,
uh yeah, I got nothing on you. I got nothing
for the one. There's nothing to mention.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
They're only two on the road so far this season,
so might bezero and three on the road after after that,
you're due. It's like no, yeah, no, no, no, no, no,
not just not not like what we refer to yesterday.
The Dolphins and the Browns. I already talked about. So
now we're gonna jump to the seat, Jacob, You get
me off track now thinking about yeah, due, sure, Patriots Titans.
Patriots are four and two, Titans are one and five,

(06:27):
or they do. Maybe A big storyline here is the
return of Mike Rabel to uh Tennessee, Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
And given it on top of that, it's the week
of the Titans firing Brian Callahan's right guy, Mike Rabel,
with I think right now, if you're a Titans fan,
you are rolling around in shame for having your franchise
get rid of Mike Rabel, a perfectly competent head coach

(06:53):
who got you to an any sorry AFC championship game,
who got you to the number one overall seat in
the conference one year, and you just decided because you
know things were sputtering to get rid of him. I mean,
I think, if anything, he could have been the glue
to keep everything held together. But this is a very
easy Patriots or rather Mike Rabel revenge game opportunity for him.

(07:17):
I don't. I mean, you've seen in the past, though,
ed when a team fires a head coach, the team
kind of rallies around the new guy and say, hey,
let's let's just let's do something good here. Let's let's
let's get one for the new guy. I don't think
that's gonna happen for Tennessee this week.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I don't either, and break up the Patriots winners of
three straight. Uh, the Panthers at Bills, at Saints, and
all of a sudden they're looking good at four and two,
and a big reason has been Drake May at the
quarterback position, number five in the NFL passing coming into
this week, so he's a top five passer and that

(07:51):
offense has been generating some points and they'll certainly look
to do that again on the road at Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah. I think too, if I mean, if they win
this game against Tennessee, that's what four wins in a row.
This was a team that you This was a team
that you had when we were talking about early playoff implications.
Could the Patriots be a team that threatens for the
wild card? And look where they are now if they win,
if they win the game, right, they improved five and two,
that that is nothing to shrug off.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
I think I threw that out there after they went
to the two and maybe two. Well they were two
and two. I think five find yeah one after yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Right, yep.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
So last loss against the Steelers, that's the last time
the Patriots lost the season after three straight.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
You know, we've talked abut it before on the show.
If they don't have all five of those turnovers against
the Steelers, they most likely win that game instead of
four and two or potentially five and two. After this week,
we're talking about a six and one Patriots team.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Speaking of teams on a roll, the Kansas City Chiefs,
despite the hiccup in Jacksonville, they get back to their
winning ways last week, defeating the Lions thirty to seventeen.
They will host the raid Us this upcoming week. That's
a one o'clock game between those two franchises that you
know again.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
That's uh, you know, the Chiefs just won't go away.
I think we said this the other day when we're
doing our power rankings. Winners of three of their last
four after starting the season zero n two. You can't
say that the Chiefs are out until they're out right
and a good opportunity gets a two to four Raiders
team which they should beat. So if that happens, the
Chiefs continue to click, and they continue to click on

(09:19):
their winning ways, and again they're going to be in
the mix in the AFC at the end of this, Jacob,
I'm not convinced for a second that they won't be.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
This is another classic AFC West matchup. By the way,
Raiders Chiefs always fun to watch.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Yeah, absolutely, I think that given the rivalry here. I mean,
you remember last year the Chiefs, who were I think
eleven and a zero at some point or ten and zero.
They were really on everyone's watch to say, oh my god,
how do they just keep pulling off win after win
after win after win. And they did so against the
Raiders as well, but oh my gosh, they're both games

(09:53):
against the Raiders last year were closed, but they, of course,
and as the Chiefs always do, they were able to
pull to pull the victory out of the last second.
But I do think it should be an interesting game
just considering the rivalry. But I do think the Chiefs
get the win here. I don't think, you know, it
might be close at the beginning, but I do think
the Chiefs eventually pull away. That Raiders offense man has

(10:15):
really struggled, despite bringing in Gino Smith, despite drafting Acid Gent,
they just haven't been able to get clicking on all
cylinders or really in sync. I think the Chiefs improved
the four and three, and I think in a twisted way.
Ed You know, obviously the Chiefs would like to have
that win back or that game back against Jacksonville, but
I think they won the more important game. I know

(10:36):
it's against the NFC and so it doesn't really help
you with tie baggers and you lose the game against
the Jaguars and the AFC. But I think to show
that you can beat a team like the Lions is
a lot more impressive than being a team like the Jaguars.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
As I always say, it's good between the years, you know,
the confidence, the mental state, not the Chiefs state. It
defending AFC champions and what they've done over the years,
But at least for their season. I mean, they started
out zero to two. They dug themselves in a hole.
You lose the game at Jacksonville in dramatic fashion there
at the end the previous week, So yeah, you get
a big win against the Lines next up in the
one o'clock window. Two more games in the one o'clock

(11:09):
window on Sunday to talk about the Eagles four and
two losers of two straight. Can they stop their losing
streak on the road against the Minnesota Vikings who are
three and two on the season. This should be a
good one in the one o'clock window Eagles Vikings this
upcoming Sunday. And again the Eagles losing to the Broncos
at home twenty one to seventeen two weeks ago, and

(11:29):
then last week losing to the Giants thirty four to seventeen.
So two tough losses for the Eagles. Philadelphia's blowing up
right now. If you've watched any sports talk out on
the other on the other side of our state, do
you think we lose there? Do you think Steeler fans
and Steeler media loser line when the Steelers lose? How
about Philly right now? They're reeling. They got a tough

(11:50):
one in Minnesota this week.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah, it's gonna be a good game. I mean Minnesota's offense.
You can't shrug it off, right. I don't know, though,
I don't know if you caught this. JJ McCarthy is
listened as questionable for this game. I don't know if
he's the right move to go with if he's fully healthy, right.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Dude, don't defense is good.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I just think that even if McCarthy is fully ready
to go, that Eagles defense, like you said, is menacing.
It can really get after the quarterback, kill a quarterback.
Do you really want your rookie, I mean de facto rookie.
You remember he basically red shirted last year. Do you
rely want your your red shirt rookie coming in here

(12:31):
and and having his first game back, going up against
the Eagles and sending him right back to the injury
list or injury report. I think you're better off going
with Carson Wentz. We've seen Addison and Jefferson really be
assets to him. We've seen the Eagles, as you mentioned,
struggle on offense. I think this could be a victory
for the Vikings just because that offense could outpace the

(12:53):
Eagles offense, which has been really bad this year. I mean,
I think they rank last in yards per game through
the Saquon Barkley. Of course, they had a great year
last year, one offensive Player of the Year, not having
nearly as much success this year. So I don't think
it's gonna be an easy even though I think Philadelphia
is probably the better team, I don't think it will

(13:13):
be easy win to the point, to the extent that
I think Minnesota could actually win this game.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
First time Minnesota has been home in a long time.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Right week after they played back to back weeks in
Dublin and then London, and then you throw.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
In the bye week last week too, so they have
not been home in Minnesota since Week three and when
that's when they defeated the Bengals the first game that
the Bengals were without Joe Burrow as they blew them out.
So yeah, first time Minnesota gets back home, they will
look to keep on their winning ways from last the
last time they played. They had a bye week last week,
but the week before when they beat the Browns to

(13:47):
try to make a two straight. They are three and
two and the Eagles are four into the last one
o'clock game. Well, the Jets get their first win of
the twenty twenty five season. They're at home, they're zero
and six and they host the three and three Panthers
all of a sudden, Carolina three three, and Bryce Young
has a big reason to do with that as well
at the quarterback position. Almost twelve hundred yards passing on
the season, ten touchdowns and five interceptions.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Yeah, you gotta like what Bryce Young is putting together here.
After losing their first two year, they've won three of
the last four. And yeah, one of them was against Miami,
who's a one win team this year, so I get that.
But they beat Atlanta. They blew out Atlanta thirty to nothing.
That's a division rival, and then they outscored Dallas, who's
been one of the best offenses in football. I mean,

(14:29):
you've talked about how George Pickens is the top five
receiver right now in the NFL. They outscored them thirty
to twenty seven last week. So that's no small thing
to consider. Rights that's a legitimate three and three record.
And remember I mentioned this earlier in the week when
we were doing our Week six recap episode. This is
the first time they've been at five hundred, just at

(14:50):
five hundred or even five hundred better, just got into
five hundred since twenty twenty one, it's been four years
since they've gotten to just five hundred out of base Wow,
and I think they're gonna their fourth win of the year.
They're gonna get sorry there, their fourth win of the
year and their fourth winning five games. Yes, it'll be
against the Jets, but hey, man, look at the Panthers.

(15:11):
Look what they're putting together here. They're a fun team
to watch. I think I think Bryce Young is an
easy guy to root for, considering you know how much
he struggled and and the expectations that were put on
him when he came into the league. Remember how the
Panthers gave up all that draft capital to move up
to the number one overall pick to get him and
took him over CJ. Stroud, who has been struggling in

(15:34):
a Houston the last couple of years, the last two years.
And given that, you know, in his first season, Bryce
looked really bad. In his second season, he was benched
for Andy Dalton, and then at some point they were
still losing games, but he looked to be better, and
then they won what two of their last three games
down the stretch. Last year they won two of their

(15:55):
last three, and now they've won three of their last
four here and this year it's it's an as I said,
it's it's easy to root for Bryce Young given all
that he's gone through in such a short time in
the league.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Well, Jacob, I will say this, you have not been
wrong so far this season, my friend. When when you've
hit on some of these underdog type teams, they've usually
produced for you. I thought, I think of the Falcons
last Monday Night for instance. Right well, I'm not picking
the underdog in this game. I am not picking the Jets.
The Panthers overall. Yes, as a franchise, it seems like
you're high on them to potentially make a playoff run,
and I agree with you.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Maybe yeah, I mean, who knows, is like that seventh
seed it's possible. I think the NFC is a lot
deeper than the AFC. I think we can both agree
on that, so it might be harder. It might be
a harder path to the playoffs for the Panthers. I'm
looking at it right now, right now. Unfortunately, for the Panthers,
despite being three and three, they're the number eleven seed

(16:46):
in the conference. Now, if they were to be in
the AFC, they would be the eighth seed. So that
shows you how much deeper the AM sorry, the NFC
is compared to the AFC. So it might be in
my not be this year for the Panthers, But if
they can shrink together a couple more players, then if

(17:06):
they it could happen in a couple of years. Who knows.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Let's move right along to the four h five for
twenty five games. The first up are the Giants who
are two and four versus the Broncos who are four
and two. Again, this is a game when Denver should win.
Bo nicks over twelve hundred yards passing nine touchdowns, four interceptions. JK.
Dobbins is starting to get things going on the ground
for Denver. Ninety one carries four hundred and forty two

(17:31):
yards and four touchdowns. The Giants are a mess. Denver
has been on the rise the last few weeks. I
like Denver at home in this one. I don't think,
especially going into mal High and Denver winners of three straight,
I think they make it four easily against the Giants
this week.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Yeah, right now, the Broncos need to just be focused
on stacking wins, right. I mean, they have an easy
matchup here, I think an easier matchup than most have
considering other playoff teams who or other teams above five
hundred playing each other. So they need to take advantage
of that. And right now, given the tie breakers, they

(18:08):
ranked second in their division behind the Chargers, who will
get to next. The Chargers are right now they have
a tiebreaker even though they haven't played yet against the
Broncos head to head, but the Chargers own the tiebreaker.
I'm sorry they have played once already. You remember LA
had that comfort behind victory over the Broncos. The Chargers

(18:28):
are three and zero in the division where the Broncos
their only game play was that one loss against the Chargers.
So that's why, even though they have the same record,
the Chargers wink ahead of the Broncos. The Chargers, who
will talk about next, as I mentioned, play the Colts.
It's a much harder game for the Chargers. The Broncos
need to take advantage of this. Even though the Giants
really showed up on the national spotlight last week on

(18:51):
THURSDAYNY Football against the Eagles, The Broncos need to know. Hey,
the Giants are zero and three on the road. We're
a much better team here. We have a really good
hopefully go to a vantage mile high not an easy
place to not an easy place to go on the road.
Do you remember Ryan Clark always had those blood cloud issues.
He can never play in Denver. The Broncos have to
take advantage improved to five and two, stack those wins

(19:14):
and at least put themselves in a position to be
at top of their division.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
You mentioned it, Colts. Chargers are our next game to
preview for you here coming up in week seven this
weekend on Sunday at four h five to five and
one Colts at the four and two Chargers. This should
be a good one. We know you're listening, but I'll
give you a visual, at least for Jacob. There's the
uniforms for the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Beautiful. They got the Chargers like the Neon yellows, the
mustard jerseys.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
They call it the Chargers New Charger Power Alternative jerseys.
It kind of looks like the seventies look with that
that gold or yellow, whatever you want to talk about it.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
I like the blue arm sleeves as a compliment to it.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Kind of cool, right, you got the powder blue for
the Chargers. Chargers at home in this one upcoming this Sunday.
I think this is gonna be a good one. I
think it's it's really the first Colts test of the
season when you take a look at their schedule again,
five to one atop the AFC, right now, if they
go into LA and beat the Chargers to go to
six and one, look out for the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah, I think that if the Colts win, I don't
I don't want to fall into the trap by calling
a game in Week seven a must win game for
either team, but it's an important game point. I think
it's an important game for both teams. They're both playing
in competitive divisions. We talked earlier about how the Jacksonville
Jaguars are kicking off early in London against the Rams.

(20:33):
If the Jags can win that game, they're at five
and two, and if the Colts lose this game against
the Chargers, then all of a sudden, those two teams
are tied to top of their division. But the same
can be said for the Chargers. Right they're four and
two with the same record against the Broncos. They lose
this game and Denver wins their game against the Giants,
which they should do, then the Chargers are all of
a sudden all of a sudden second in their division.

(20:54):
So it's a really good matchup. I mean, this is
what you want to see in the NFL. Win two games.
Our two teams deep into the season are playing good
football going up against each other head to head. But
it's it's gonna have, as I said, it's gonna have
major playoff implications. It's not a must win, right It's
not a must win for either because they're both above

(21:15):
five hundred. The Colts are five and one, so nothing
for them right now as a must win, unless you know,
things start to take a turn for the worst and
they get on a losing streak, then you have to
kind of say, oh well, the next win has to
be a must win to get back on track. But
the Chargers, we know, are a lot more tipsy top
tipsy topsy with back and forth play. You remember they lost,
They started off three to zero and they fell out

(21:37):
to three and two, and then this past week against Miami,
who's a one win team, took it took a last
second clock expiring field goal for the Chargers to beat
the Dolphins. Uh so the Chargers really need to not
get perfectly right because I think, you know, you want
a game, so you're you're in the right direction. But
if you get this win against the Colts, I think

(21:59):
for either team to win this game, it'll put a
lot of respect on the winning team.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Commanders visiting the Cowboys in the four to twenty five
probably national window, I would think in that.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Film, I'm assuming if the Packers or I'm sorry, if
the Cowboys are playing in the four o'clock window, especially
in home. In Jerry's world, that's gonna be the Fox
game of the week.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Both teams coming off Week six losses, with the Commanders
losing to the Bears and the Cowboys losing to the
Panthers in both of those very close games one point
game in the Commander's Bears and then a thirty to
twenty seven loss in Carolina for the Cowboys last week.
But yeah, you know this is usually the Thanksgiving Day game.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
I think, Yeah, that's a good call, but just a
good game. Nonetheless, I know that the Commanders are not
performing at the level of what we thought they would
come or rather at the beginning of the season, and
they really have struggled to play consistent football. I think
I mentioned to you this earlier this week, they've gone
win loss, win, loss, win loss. They had not shrunk

(23:01):
together consecutive wins all year long. But they need to
get back in the win column because their most recent
game was a loss against the Chicago Bears, which we
talked about earlier today. And I think if Jada McDaniels
is available, and if Tara mcclaurin is available, I don't

(23:22):
know what his status is for this game. If he's
available though to Daydon daniels, then that should be enough
to keep pace with this high powered Cowboys offense, especially
considering what we mentioned earlier. The Panthers were able to
do it last week, then the Commanders should be able
to do it this week.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
The Steelers' next opponent will be the Green Bay Packers.
They were three to one and one in our final game.
On Sunday in the four to twenty five window is
the Packers visiting the Cardinals, who are two and four
on the season. So for Steeler Nation, this wouldn't be
a bad game to watch if you're able to see
it on red Zone or somewhere else awesome tape. Yeah,
just to kind of get a sneak peek at the Packers,

(23:59):
who the Steelers will host next Sunday Night at after
Short Stadium on Sunday Night Football.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Yeah, I mean that's gonna be a big matchup Packers
at Steelers, and the narrative there is gonna be Rogers
taking on his former team for the first time. But
I think for this week, the Packers, I have a feeling,
even though they are the favorite on the road, they're
favored by a touchdown, it's still gonna be close because
you saw what happened last week against the Bengals, right,
they played them close despite that game being played in

(24:24):
Green Bay with Joe Flacco having what two days to
get ready for that game. I just think the Packers
are not the team that we thought they were at
the beginning of the year when they beat the Troy.
They're not gonna blow everyone out of the water. I
have a feeling even though the Cardinals aren't great, it's
still gonna be a semi close game.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Sunday Night Football features the Atlanta Falcons, who are three
and two, visiting the San Francisco forty nine ers who
are four and two. Jacob I mentioned earlier the Colts,
that's a game for me, it's a statement game for
them if they can go into LA and beat the Chargers.
I'm gonna say the same thing about the Falcons. Yeah,
not for you too, I think.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
I mean it's coming off of a statement win for them,
remember at home against the Bills. But I'm with you.
I think if they go into San Francisco this week,
which they should be able to do, considering remember earlier
this week we heard the news about Fred Warner being
out for the year, that's just the most recent forty
nine are to be sidelined for the entire It's crazy.
Other than McCaffrey, right, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
But I do think.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I do think Brandon i Yuk is questionable. I think
this is the first game where we've seen him not
be one hundred percent out for the game. But if
he if if Ayuk is out, then I had to
assume that the Niners will lose this game.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Looking ahead the Monday Night, this upcoming Monday Night Football
features two games. Again, second straight week where we have
two Monday Night matchups. I feel like that's gonna start
to become more of a regular occurrence.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yeah, I mean, the NFL just loves taking over every
every day of the week, and it'll be it won't
be too long a where we'll start to see multiple
Thursday night games either.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Oh man, I hope not on that one. All right,
it's you know, Monday night's fire. I kind of dig
the two Monday night games and early one at seven.
Last week there were the second game, which was the Bears.
Game was at eight o'clock. This week a little bit different,
Tech and Seahawks will be at ten. But first off,
Bucks and Lions at seven o'clock. Very good game here
the five and one Bucks, so I had ranked number
one in my power ranks? Did I against the Lions

(26:10):
who are four and two, who were my top three
until losing last week? So yeah, Bucks and Lions in
Detroit Monday night at seven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah, I mean, not not anything to I mean, I
don't know what MLB playoffs are going to be happening
right now or not right now, but at the same time,
but this is going to be the game to watch.
With the two Monday night games, we'll get to the
Texas and Seahawks in a bit, but this is the
number one game I think of the week. Actually, I
think this is the best matchup you'll see all week.

(26:41):
Maybe the only other game you could argue is the
Chargers and Colts game. But I think the Bucks and
Lions are two of the best teams. I had the
Bucks at one of my power rankings. I had the
Lions at number two. So these are my top two
teams going out it head to ahead. And if you
remember last year when they played each other in Week three,
both teams were two to zero. The Bucks in Baker
maye Field actually won that game against the Lions, who

(27:02):
were the favorite. This game will be played in Detroit.
The Lions are favorited as of now, but I'm not
going to count out my boy Baker Mayfield, my my
MVP League candidate. So far through the twenty twenty five season,
I actually think the Bucks have a shot to win
this game, a good shot to win this game.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
You'll be sleeping because you got to get up early
the next day. I'll be probably sleeping too, just because.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
The second game, the second one, I'll I'll be wide
away for the entirety of the first one.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Yeah, you and I both yea the second one, and
I love.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I gotta say, as a guy who has to get
up early for work, I love a seven o'clock kickoff.
That's great, right, the game's gonna be over by ten o'clock.
I can go to bed at ten o'clock. That's not
too late for me. You're you're still good. At least
you have that excuse of the next morning with the
morning show. I don't.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I could stay up, but I choose not. To Texans
Seahawks ten o'clock to wrap up Week seven. The Texans
are two and three and the Seahawks are four and two.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
Yeah. Like I said, the better of the two Monday
night games is that first one, the early one between
the Bucks and Lions. But this one should be exciting.
I mean, if the Texans lose this game against the Seahawks,
which is probably gonna happen, then good for the Seahawks.
We're getting to five and two. But you really gotta
start panicking if you're I think you already are if
you're the Texans. Uh, but if you if you fall

(28:13):
to two and four, I know it was a nice
feather in your cap to get that forty four to
ten blowout win. Against the Ravens, but we know how
bad that defense is. I think Seattle is gonna I
mean get given you mentioned this earlier this week, Jackson
Smith and Jig with a number one receiver in football
with yards tallied so far, I think that Seattle offense
is legitimate. I think they're the better team here. And

(28:35):
so even though like I mentioned, the Texans had that
nice blow I went against Baltimore, I think they're gonna get.
They're gonna get, They're gonna come back to Earth after
this game. I'm on and against Seattle.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Bills and Ravens both with week seven by both need
it right they do, they do big time to get healthy.
I would suspect that Lamar will be back next week
after the bye week this weekend, but we'll have to
wait and see. Jacob and I will break down all
these games, and we'll can continue to break down Bengals
Steelers from last night as well this upcoming Monday here
on the Standard That'll do it for the Steelers Standard
