Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello Texans, and welcome to the show. Great to have
you with us, Mark VanderMeer and John Harris with you
on OTA EVE. And that's how we are billing this
day because OTAs begin tomorrow. For you're Houston Texans. They'll
be out there at the Houston Methodist Training Center slinging
it and.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
We'll be live.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Actually we won't be live, but training camp is coming
up soon enough, end of July.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
We'll be live out there for that.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
But you can bet that twenty four hours from now,
we will give you a full review of what we
saw at OTA's, including the thoughts of John Harris as
he will give you audio observations of what goes down. Johnny,
I can't wait to hear what you have to say
about practice tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, I'm excited. First time we get to see the
full group together, yep. And I know there'll be a
lot of eyes on what the offensive line looks like
and how it lines up and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
And I know a lot of people put some stock
in that. Some people will try and find.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
A conspiracy theory or three well how they're lining up,
but it is it's intriguing.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I mean, I'm Okay, what all right?
Speaker 3 (01:02):
I didn't expect that you got a factor in a
number of different things. And I know everybody's gonna have
a kind of a gut reaction. But then it's like, okay,
is anybody rehab it's still rehabing injury. Is anybody not
there just decide has decided not to be there at OTAs?
Now we always know Laramy never showed up for that.
I don't imagine it would be anybody, especially on the
(01:23):
offensive line. Yeah, but you could. Again it's voluntary. I
think that's that's gonna be a pretty big deal. So
even when you have this first reaction, well, why the
hell's that guy in there? Well, you never know. Maybe
maybe guys hurt, Maybe guy's rehabbing for something. Maybe a
guy's not there because he's at a wedding, or he's
at the birth of a child or something. They are
(01:44):
all these different things that could be a factor of
why such and such isn't there or not in the
starting lineup, or whatever it might be. But there's gonna
be intrigue with how it lines up, no matter what.
No matter what. Now, in my mind, I'm expecting to
see Camrabinson, Titus Howard, I'm not sure. At the center
of a guest Jared Patterson, Juice Scruggs and Blake Fisher.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
That's what I think I'll see, but maybe not.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
And I remember last year when we went to the
second week OTAs it was a second week. I remember
I was down the way watching and I looked up
and went, wait a second. They called the ones out
on defense, and there goes Kamari Lassiter.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I'm like, that was interesting.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, with to Ot again still there, Minnie camp still there.
I'm like, man, And because of Kamara's progress in a
short amount of time, it really kind of reconfigured how
the secondary was going to look because I think in
their heart of hearts they thought, and we talked to
Corey Englin about this too, and the defensive back coaches,
I think in their heart, in their minds, they thought, Okay,
(02:47):
Camario'll play the nickel, cj Henderson, jeff A. Kudo will
play the opposite to the corner, opposite of Derek Stingley,
and that's the way we're gonna go. And all of
a sudden, lastters like, man, we gotta get him on
the field. He's got to be on a field. So
put Kamario out there, but then what do you do
with the nickel? And then they move Jalen down and like, oh, okay,
I think this fits staying in Kamari Jalen at the nickel.
All right, we like how this looks. And that's how
(03:07):
they ended up playing the season. And the thought was, Jalen,
what are the thoughts Jalen? Is that gonna work with
Jalen as a nickel guy? And yeah, it worked.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
It worked.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
It was almost like they got the inspiration from des
King playing that nickel linebacker spot against the Titans and
they shut down Derek Henry and let's try that.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
You with You're exactly right, And and I bring that
up because that could happen with this offensive line. Could
you see a situation where maybe not first week go ta's,
but second we go t's. You look up there and
you're like, man Arianta Urser's out of left tackle with
the first group Kyle Kamari, Like, man, I was gonna
ask you this, Maybe that happens, which is which is
(03:48):
more surprising to you.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
If it happens, everybody's healthy, everybody's in attendance. Ursery's out
there at left tackle with the ones or Titus is
at right to with the ones, because if Titus is
at RSE three, that's more surprising.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I think no, Titus being at tackle would be surprising.
That would be surprising.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Yes, that's saying something because Titus has played some right tackle.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Oh yeah, right tackle.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
But I think there comes a point where you as
a team, as an organization, as a player, you have
to realize this is best for the team.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
This is I think best for the player too.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
When those two intersect, right then I think that's I
don't want to say nirvana, but I think that's the
way you go. I think Titus had left guard, and
I saw this when he he didn't play so the
Dolphins game, so it's Dolphins game than it was the
two games. I mean, he had three games back to
(04:47):
back to back in eleven days and left guard. I
thought he came out of there pretty well. When he
went against Chris Jones, he was one of the few
Texans who could hold up to Chris Jones one on
one to a point where Chris Jones had to go
move to the outside and decided he go against Laramie
and then he just uses power against Laramie and Laromy
struggled with Jones because of the power, but Titus forced
(05:09):
him into that decision. I think Titus is fully healthy,
ready to go. I think he's the best guard you've
had in while. Don't just don't mess with that. You
got vetting Cam Robbins, you got a vetting Trent Brown,
like Fisher showed last year that there is some potential there.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
The other things to work on, but there's potential there.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
And you drafted Ursery, who you don't think is going
to be a guard, he's a tackle. Put Titus, lock
him in at left guard and let him learn the way.
He's going to be weak in week out, and I
think Titus is gonna end up being more than a
fit at that position, better than he's the better than
he's ever been.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Well you do that, you might have Cam Robinson at
left tackle. You might have Blake or somebody else at
right tackle. Adoubtsirae who knows, But that forces Blake and
or Ersery into the lineup to play productively right off
the batch.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Sure, and you have to be okay with that.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
We all know that this is under construction and it's
WAPs progress and however you want to describe it. So
that is interesting that you wouldn't be that surprised to
see Ersery out there. But Cam Robinson is the likeliest scenario, right,
the scenario you presented, which would be more surprising, right
you just present now?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Would it be?
Speaker 3 (06:18):
It would be a surprise to me if Ersery is
out there with the ones. But I think Titus Howard
at left guard is more set in stone and in
place more than anything they could have. Because let's say
you moved Titus out the right guard. I'm sorry, right, Tyle,
Let's just say you moved Titus out the right tackle.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Okay, then more than.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Likely Blake Fisher, Ariante Erserie, Trent Brown, and Cam Robinson
aren't gonna play guard.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
But I think those four players are.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Probably better than the next guard on the list, if
that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
So now you're taking down the level.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
You're taking down to me the ability level and how
good the offensive line could be down a notch because
you're trying to put Titus out there right guard. Look,
if those four guys prove they can't handle playing tackle,
first of all, we're in a lot of trouble. Secondly, okay,
you go with Titus in kind of an emergency situation.
But then you got to figure out who's gonna play
(07:13):
left guard. And I know we've gone through this for years.
Who's playing left guard? Who's playing left guard? Not gonna
say it's an easy one to solve. It's probably a
little bit easier to solve that than who's playing right tackle.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But I feel like they have.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
More potential solutions playing the two tackle positions than they
do playing guard position.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
How about this, I think I mentioned this on the air,
but I saw some stat I'm gonna box it up
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Let me fumble through it here. CJ.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Stroud was in long down in distance, top two or
three in the league, yes times absolutely year and he
was top two and three in the league in efficiency
from long down in distance.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
That says something to me. Says you got to.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Run the whole with the ball a whole lot better,
and it says you got a hell of a quarterback. Now,
somebody posted and I'm sorry, I don't remember, but you
know this is all out there because people.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
He stole it.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Anyway, if you're posting NFL highlights, they don't belong to you, Okay,
so you stole them. But they posted every touchdown past
CJ Stroud through last year and it said this was
CJ Stroud. I like the caption this was CJ's slump season.
And you see the TV passes and you're like, holy
small sump season. This is a slump season and he's
(08:23):
cooking now. I know not everything was perfect, and I
know he missed a throat at Dell in the Detroit
game or whatever else do you want to bring up
at this particular point as you're listening to this, But
we got a hell of a quarterback and you put
a better situation in front of him. As far as
running the ball consistently, I know, mix it out a
good year, but consistently doing what they want to do
(08:44):
with it the way Nick Caley wants to handle his business.
I think it's gonna be a whole lot more interesting
through the air when you're running the ball better. They'll
compliment each other. Maybe they passed to set up the run.
We don't know what we're gonna see. We kind of
think we know what we're gonna see, but we won't
know it until we see it. And speaking of running back,
you know, with the mixing situation, I want to see
(09:06):
tomorrow when they get out there for OTAs you know Pierce.
You can't tell much with the running backs without pads
and all that, but you know, throw the ball to Piers,
Throw the ball to what he marks. See how those
guys look. You know, Darry can catch the football. I
want to see that in the mix along with everything else.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
I think that's got to be a part of this
offense regardless. I think it's gotta be beg ability, the
ability of a running back to be a factor in
a passing game and not always in checkdown fashion.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Right.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Be a guy that maybe you line him up next
to CJ. He's got a little wider split, he runs
the he runs a wheel route with one and wide
receivers to get him matched up on a linebacker. I mean,
they're just ways you can get this group of running
backs I think more involved in the passing game. I
think that's the to me, the evolution of this passing
game is making sure that those guys get involved. And look,
(09:58):
we'll all have eyes on Nico, Jade Higgins and Christian Kirk,
jayaln Knowle. I mean, those are the guys justin Watson,
those are guys. All the receivers, our eyes on them,
there's no question about that. But I think in the
passing game that's got to be a place, and that
also has got to be one of the steps of
the evolution of CJ. Stroud too, and that is, Yeah,
I want that dig. I want twenty yards on this dig.
(10:20):
I know I can rip it into that spot. The
maturation of you know what, not quite there. Let me
check it down to one of my very able running backs.
Catch this ball and go do something in space and
give him a chance.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
There was a video with Belichick posted this weekend, and
it had nothing to do with his twenty four year
old girlfriend, which I found surprising. Shot himself, but he
was talking about three things that made Tom Brady great,
and one of them was he did not take negative plays.
He kept them out of negative situations, and he took
the pocket changes. You would say he would dump it off.
(10:55):
He would find a guy four yards, let's go get it.
Let's line him up again, and let's second, second and
six man instead of second and twelve. Now that's not
all CJ's faults, of course when that kind of thing happens,
but you know, you might have gotten the two yards
stuff on a run.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
And now you're second and twelve. But the point is
got to figure out a way, and with more autonomy
on the line, maybe he's able to check them into
better runs than the runs that were called.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Because oh now I.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Got up to the line and I see something, and
I got to be able to make an adjustment, and
I'm gonna run to the left. If it's left or
right or whatever the case may be, he can make
that call.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
All right, I wanted to go here, though.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Let's move to the defensive side of the ball and
play the game. How good is this defense gonna be?
Because game, this is a good game. This game is
a good game. Stats don't always tell you the whole story,
of course, especially the stats. You know, I'm not gonna
get into DVOA and all that crap. We'll go yards
and points. It's all crap. Yards and points could be
(11:54):
crapped because long crap. I'll give you an example. The
Titans were second in yardage'll last year. The Titans did
they do well well, they did well getting the number
one pick, but they were second in the league in
total defense.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
That's just bizarro world.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
That shows you, hey, Levis, don't throw the ball with mayonnaise.
On your hands or whatever you did, turning the ball
over so much, not able to get first downs, having
to give the ball back to the opponent, giving the
ball to the opponent in short range, because they didn't
give up that many yards, but they gave up twenty
seven points per game, Johnny, Wow, that is it.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
You know. In fact, Levis did contribute to that. I mean,
that was his charity, Johnny.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
They were thirtieth in points allowed and second in yards allowed.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Makes perfect sense though, think about it. I mean, how
many times did you throw pick sixes?
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Yeah? Okay, how many times put them behind the You know, that's.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Why you can't put points on a defense in this category.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
That's why DVOA isn't. Well, that's right, that's I'm with you.
That's exactly the way I feel about this.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Because it's not fair to the defense to put that
on them.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
I don't know how many I mean, how many throw
how many times did you give short yields?
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:01):
I mean there's a way you can calculate it, and
I think that's probably what DVA does in a sense.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Or how many times you're just punting and you know,
or you know, punting from deep in your own end.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
They get the ball the forty five. Yeah, short field.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yeah, it's not always the result of a turnover, but
I think you'd have to reach back. In fact, I'm
sure the Nashville people know this, but if that kind
of spread of being that low in points allowed and
that high and yardage allowed that good in yardage allowed,
that's kind of strange. But the Texans in yardage allowed
(13:33):
last year were fifth in the NFL. The Eagles were first,
and they played like it and they only gave up
seventeen point eight per game. I mean, that was that
was just great stuff from them. They were second in
the league in points per game allowed. By the way,
the Chargers were first in the league in points per
game allowed.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Defensively, they were good.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Defense, but not so much on playoff weekend, Wild Card
Texans Invitational Day.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
They look to them.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
They look good for about a quarter and three quarters
of a quarter and that's when Justin Herbert went full
Will Levis Texans four picks. Anyway, the Texans were fifth,
So it's Eagles, Titans, Jets, Dolphins were fourth in yards allowed. Really,
and then the Texans were fifth. I like a mix here.
(14:19):
I know it doesn't make sense with the Titans to
put the middle of the pack.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
But I like a mix here.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
But let's go against the other AFC contenders, because the
Broncos were seventh in yards per game allowed and.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
The Ravens were tenth.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
But the Ravens in the most important stat here, Lo,
let's see where they were in points.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
They were down a little bit here.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
The Ravens defensively statistically, Johnny yep, not overly impressive here
except against the run. And that's kind of where it
really does matter, doesn't it. They have big dudes up front,
number one in the league, hard to move them, number one.
And guess what so Texans opponents this year Ravens, Broncos, Bucks,
(15:04):
we're all in the top four in yards per game
allowed rushing.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Interesting topping the run.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Ravens, big dudes up front, Travis Jones, hard to move
as a center. Broncos very good up front, not as big,
but quick and fast.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Right.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
And then it was the other.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
One, Tampa Vitavea. Yeah, the Vikings were second, by the way,
and we played them too.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Vea just gives me nightmares, nightmares of what he can
do against the run.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
But this is where I'll give Bobby a little credit.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Bobby's look in that game against the Bucks early on,
we couldn't run it.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
We just couldn't. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
We had twelve yards in that game rushing and he
just said, bleep it, throw it. We got him, we
got seven, Let him throw it. That's the thing. And
I think my hope is that we can be better
against good run defenses, that we can put good run
defense is kind of back on our heels a little bit,
just enough to give Seven time to throw that we
(16:06):
haven't been able to do against the Ravens, that we
haven't been able to do against stout, staunch defensive front.
This is the year where at least we've got to
be able to do that. We've got to Maybe there's
gonna be a driver. Okay, we kind of hammered into
the line, couldn't do it. But the next rive we
come back and now we're moving the ball. Now we're
moving them, We're getting them on the move. We're doing
some good things running the ball. But we have to
(16:28):
prove it against the Broncos. We have to prove it
against the Ravens. We have to prove it against Jeffrey
Simmons and Tovandre Sweat.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
That's what this really is all about.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
It's about that offensive line occupying moving and then allowing
running backs just those smallest slivers of space. Look, you
don't have to create high school like holes. You're not
gonna get that in the NFL. But you got it
just enough to get hat on a hat that linebackers
get glancing blows on Joe, they get glancing blows on
the running back, so that a two yard run turns
(16:57):
into a four yard run. It's second and six. It's
been effective. You can't nope nothing here. Second, I just
remember Veya in the game in twenty three. Veya just
stuffed anything before it got to the line of scrimmage. I
mean he didn't want to move, so he would beat
the block and stay at the line of scrimmage. And
then when the running back hit him, it was like
a nat hitting an elephant, and you just went with
(17:18):
nothing and I got nothing in the Runa.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
They got that four hundred pound guy now too, Desmond Watson, great,
Now he's not quite Vita Vea.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Here's the one thing about Vea that everybody forgets. That
dude was three hundred and fifty pounds. It is three
hundred fift pounds. You utter a hundred fify pounds of
high school and I think he wore a forty four
because he's playing running back. Like he's as good an
athlete as Hilodi Nada was. He's bigger, yeah, but he's
that good. And that's where that's where it's really tough.
But I think Tampa Bay's had a little I think
(17:48):
you can get after the edges.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
But you got to get to the edges.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Helodi Nod is one of those huge guys who's light
on his feet, just oh my god, like he's he's
got air pumped in it.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
And he played angry. Ye, he was so angry when
he played. So the nicest guy off the field, but
just played angry. That's Those are the kind of guys
you love. Those are the guys that Demiko's looking for.
On the field, violent, angry Will and Anderson on the field.
Will Anderson's a different beast. Off the field. You get
that smile, you get him just so excited and loves
(18:16):
Houston all. You get him on the field and he's like,
I'm gonna rip your head off, And that's that's what
those guys have.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
So Texas run game has got have something to.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
Prove, and we'll see the initial thoughts of what that
group that's gonna move the football on the ground is
gonna look like in the offensive line.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Related to the ground game, I'm wondering what this next
player will the effect he'll have on that, and what
you can do off of that. Because Dimiko Ryans and
Nick Cassario both brought up the name of Brevit Jordan,
and you and I brought this up, I.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Think late in the season. We're like, Rerevit Jordan.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
You know, he was out since the Minnesota game, and
you know, it seems like it's a big loss, bigger
than you would think. Yeah, but it's a big loss
because they probably had nice plans for him last year
and that might have evolved into something. But now he's
back the extra year they signed him to it, and
I'm eager to see what they do with a player
like that because he can get low to the ground
(19:13):
and block people and also make obviously explosive plays capture
the football.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
I think I walked in here one day and I
just said, you and I were just kind of chatting,
and I walked in and I said, I miss Brevian.
We miss Brevan. I mean we love Brevin. I mean
Brevin is you know Team Texas Radio. I mean we
love He's invited in here anytime he wants. He's just
the best. But when we didn't have him, there was
(19:38):
an element of this offense. I felt like that was missing.
And all he had to do is go back and
look at the Cleveland game. He won catch for seventy
six yards. I mean, catches ball in a flat and
beats everybody to the end zone like it's not even close.
Like that was a that was an element. I don't
know that Brevin would have been a guy. Okay, we're
gonna We're gonna throw deep to Brevin. I just felt
(19:58):
like last year we lost all sevens of a deep game.
But I think with Brevin he would have opened up
some of the other areas on the field because of
what he could do. And I think about a healthy
Brevin with a healthy Cad Stover.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Okay, I think it's interesting. Obviously, still have.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Dalton Schultz like man, all right, well, this could be
kind of interesting if we can get everybody healthy tight
end position, wide receiver position, to the positions that have
been probably they've those positions have lacked health the last
couple of years. But getting Brevin back, getting British Brooks back,
I think is gonna end up being a pretty massive thing.
(20:34):
Having Yakub Johnson here, you know, a guy that has
experienced in this system. So I think there gonna be
some good position battles. But it's it's good in a
way that it's not just oh well, we'll settle on
the guy that wins this position. It is the guy
that wins this position will have a earned It be
gonna earn time on the field and targets and opportunities
out on the field as well. So I think it's
(20:56):
gonna be interesting. But I think Brevin having Brevin back,
and look, we can talk all we want about the
offensive line. Off of the line could do some things,
but if the tight ends are consistently getting at the
point of attack, we're screwed, right, We're flat out screwed,
so that that can't happen. And when Irv Smith came
here last year, we started getting a little bit more
done with our inline blocking, and we signed him and
(21:19):
brought him back, and I think Irv can do some
things for us if he's got to be that y
in line tight end.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
I'm all about it.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Whoever it is has to go in there and wage
war against those defensive ends that they're gonna see this year,
and they're gonna be really good, but they got to
win some of those wars.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
And now for the really important question, who's getting the
third team quarterback reps tomorrow? Keten Slovis or Graham Berts.
Keten Slovs does First of all, I don't know what.
I'm not totally sure what Graham can do, you know
what I mean? Yeah, I know, I'm just joking.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
I mean, even if you want to get with the
the the eleven, you know, eleven on eleven, I don't
know if he can do that yet, you know what
I mean, Really, I just don't know because he's got
the acl to I don't know if he's been physically clear,
oh because of the injury that I'm.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Throwing the ball around in Brookie camp drills.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
But all of a sudden, you get to eleven on eleven,
you got dudes at his feet. Yeah, you know what
I mean, I don't know. If I don't know, I
just I'm saying, I just don't know if you're there
six more weeks.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Well, wait a minute, we're two weeks away from mini
camp and then about six weeks from training camp, so
we'll see how that goes.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
We're eight weeks from training camp, it seems that way.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Yeah, I mean this is late May here, I mean
in two months, we're a training camp two months less.
Oh my god, because they're gonna report the week of
the twenty first at some point and practice that week.
So we'll see how it goes. So we're right there, Johnny,
right there, we are right there.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
I can't wait to see it, all right. I can't
wait to catch up with Jonathan Alexander. He's coming up
and we'll talk about OTAs some more, more on this
defensive line situation, what he's seeing with the offense, what
he wants to see, and what he will report on.
It's all coming up here on Texans Radio. Oh, welcome back.
Not that you went anywhere, and we didn't go anywhere either.
(22:58):
We were right here while you listen to the those
important messages. It's Texans Radio, Mark vandermir and John Harris
with you, and it's Tuesday. That means we're joined by
Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle, Jonathan, how's it going.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
It's going well. I appreciate y'all having it.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Well, it's always fun to have you on, especially on
OTA Eve. It's the eve of OTAs, so the team's
been out there doing stuff. But tomorrow we get our
first look at the Houston Texans offense versus defense.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
They won't be in pads, but it's something and a.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Few weeks ago, at least recently, I asked you what
you were going to be looking at first, and we
all went offense when we were asked this question.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
But let me ask you this. Let's start here on defense.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
What are you looking at on this Houston Texans defense
first and foremost when you get out there to OTAs
and you see them in action.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
Yeah, I think probably the biggest thing is whether they
can take another step. You know, obviously they brought a
lot of guys back, and then they added CJ. Gardner
Johnson Woods with a huge pickup given what he's able
to do when he's healthy, had two six interception seasons
and so it'll be interesting to see what he adds
(24:04):
to the secondary that was already elite coming in. I
think one thing that he could help them with is
maybe their red zone defense. They gave up too many
passing touchdowns last year. But that and what Christian Harris
will do. You know, he got hurt early last year,
and when he came back, you know Henry Totoe had
(24:27):
won that job. So I'll be interested to see that
linebacker competition in particular.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
I think one thing we're not going to be able
to determine through OTA's Jonathan is what happens with the
interior defensive line because you add Rankins, bring back Foley,
bring back Mario, so you essentially bring back the crew
from last year and you add rankings to the mix,
and you got Tommy toki I who played very well
the last second half of the year. He still have
(24:53):
Kurt Heinish here. I know we won't be able to
determine anything really with the interior defensive line, But how
how difficult do you think that decision is going to be?
Because I think low key, I think that might be
the hardest decision of all of them, including receiver, including
the offensive line, is trying to figure out which five
or six you're gonna end up keeping, because that's a
pretty good unit right now. What are your thoughts going
(25:15):
into OTAs about what we might see, and I didn't
mention the rookies that they drafted and signed. What are
your thoughts about the interior defensive line.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, I mean, I agree with you. It is a
really intense competition, you know, especially adding fully Potocosi. When
they did that, that made it a little bit difficult
for me. Like I thought I had an idea of
who they keep. Now adding Foley brings another important piece
into your room. So you know, of course you got
(25:44):
Mario Edwards, Foley, Sheldon Rankings, Tim Settle. Yeah, so four
really good rotational players, barn they stay healthy. And then
like you mentioned, you know a lot of guys. You know,
Kurt Hyness has experience, Tom and Togy I played really
well down the stretch. He's a guy that I think
(26:05):
could really make the roster. And I feel like I
might be even missing somebody, you know. I think it'll
be hard for Keyante Hamilton to make this team, extremely hard,
just as it was for some of their rookies last year.
And make no mistake about it, Demiico is going to
play the best players. He's gonna keep the best players
on the team because that defensive line is super important
(26:28):
to him, and he thinks it's the recipe for success
and what allows him to play at their best. And
then you know, De Nico actually plays some defense tackle two,
so they got a really good room.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
There, man.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
And then you get a guy like Hamilton in the
third fourth quarter of a preseason game or two erupts
makes a big plays and then you can't protect him.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I'm gonna. I'm put one hundred dollars on the table
right now. You two can split it, Okay.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
If Junior Tifuna does not somehow play on this Rock,
play on this team this year, it'll be a surprise
to me. Really, yeah, Junior, I'm done. I'm telling you
right now. Junior Taffuna, the undrafted free agent. I know
they gave him some guaranteed money. And the thing about
it is was seven round pick. You almost can make
the case because that's guaranteed money, you know, in the
(27:10):
case even though he's undrafted, gotta make it.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
He yeah, like he's got to make it. Almost over
Counto Hamilton.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
But I saw Junior Tafunu walk out the hallway the
other day and I was like, damn, okay, Like he's
bigger than TOGII. He is bigger than heiess like by
a long shot. He looks like a walking brick. What
if you cut him. I'm just hypothesizing here.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
And he gets that money, right, yeah, then you sign
him too the practice squad, he gets more money. Yeah,
he's basically he's signing him to a new deal, and
then he makes the active roster at some point and
there it is. But Johnny, let me ask you this,
since you you made that call, everybody's healthy. He's still
on the team. Everybody's healthy. There's I'm telling you right
now that he's gonna find a way, find a way.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Okay, he's got I think people are gonna get hurt.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
I'm not saying that Week one against the Rams is
part of that, I understand, But I think that down
the road, like togy I, I think the foon is
going to be a part of this team.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Jeez, Jonathan, let's switch to the offense here. So Laramie's
not on the team. As we all know, who's the
next Pro bowler on offense on the line, on the line,
give me your next Pro bowler on the offensive line, who's.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Gonna make it for Okay, let's tack onto this question.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Okay, who is it and how close is that player
to actually being voted to the Pro Bowl?
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Well, I didn't go there.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
I just said when they went, I said, what the win?
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Part of It's exciting though, too?
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Is it not Jonathan so Pro Bowler this year or maybe.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
Whenever it happens? Who's the next guy on the offensive line?
And it can't be a guy not on the roster.
The next guy in the offensive line to make the
Pro Bowl.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Among the guys that they have in the roster, I
think it's probably Arion tate Urseri, just given we don't
know how he loved He played very well in Minnesota,
was a third team All American.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
You know.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
I think we've seen what we've seen from Cam Robinson
and I think he can be good. But is he
Pro Bowl?
Speaker 3 (29:10):
God?
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Not sure. I think what we've seen what we've seen
from Titus Howard, he's a silid guy. But we don't
know what we'll get from Arianta Rasery, who seems to
have a lot of potential. And it's a guy that
the Texans obviously really liked, considering they tried to trade up,
you know, twenty spots to get him and ended up
(29:31):
trade in trading up ten spots to get him. So
you know, I'm going to put my money on Ariante.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
Okay, let's go with that, Jonathan, because I happened to
see that report, and a lot of people saw the
report about the Texans. You know, I watched the Patriots video,
and I think there were people that were convinced, oh, well,
they drafted Trevon Henderson, that's the Texans were coming up
to get, but instead it was actually coming up to
thirty eight to go get Arianta Ursery. Your thoughts about
the Texans going up all the way to number thirty
(29:57):
eight to make sure that they got the Minnesota tackled.
Do you think that was because a how much they
really liked him, or be the fact that after Ursery
there was maybe gonna be kind of a big gap
between what was left up on the tackle board to draft.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
Yeah, I mean, based on my understanding of my reporting,
that was a little bit of both. I mean, they
really liked him. He was projected to be a late
first round, early second round pick, and there was a
thought that the Bears needed an offensive tackle and they
picked a number thirty nine, and the Texans were trying
to get ahead of the Bears. They're at thirty nine,
(30:36):
and fortunately for the Texans, the Bears didn't take an
offensive tackle, and likely it appears after the fact that
they weren't gonna take one. And you know he fell
Arianta Ursery failed at number forty eight, and like you said,
you know, had they not gotten him, then you know,
it would have been hard to come across an offensive
(30:59):
tackle that you really liked. So I think it was
a little bit bit of both. I mean, just based
on my porty is a little bit of both.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
All right, So offensively tomorrow, boy, I'm really eager to
see this. You know, I'm gonna read way too much
into the depth chart situation tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
I know that's I will not be anywhere near anybody
when that first offensive line walks out.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
I'm just not.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Jonathan, how do you approach that? As a reporter for
the Houston Chronicle. You're the beat writer. You don't want
to read too much into it. Yet it's all gonna
be out there in front of you. How do you
approach that?
Speaker 4 (31:29):
I mean, you know, I take it with a grain
of salt. This is who the Texans feel probably would
be first one, and then they mix it up a
bit too, but you really won't know until you see
the guys who really stand out, you know, later in
OTA's and then in training camp, and nothing is decided
until the end of training camp. Really. I mean, we
(31:52):
saw Kamari Lassaner moving all over the place until he
finally solidified as outside cornerback in OTA's and really started
to stand out there, and that's what earned him the
starting spot. But they mixed and match a lot of
the defense linemen, and not everybody's going to be there's voluntary,
So I very much take it with a grain of
(32:14):
salt and really decide with my eyes training camp.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
Yeah, trust your eyes all you should do. Don't listen
to anybody else, just trust your eyes, which Jonathan does that.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
I think there's always a story to where guys line
up right. Somebody might be heard, oh, we want to
have a look at this guy over here because.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Of whatever experimentation.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Fisher at left tackle in trading camp last year is
the greatest example.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
I'm glad you went there because that was going to
be my question to actually both of you, and I'll
start with Jonathan on this.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
You brought up Blake Fisher, and I think Blake Fisher.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
Is eventually going to be the starting right tackle, and
maybe it's day one, maybe he holds that all the
way through. Both of you, Jonathan, you start, what do
you think is the outlook for Blake Fisher in year
two here for the Texans.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
I mean, I think he has a chance to really
prove that how we saw the end where he played
against playoffs and struggles against Chris Jones, which is is
really hard to hold up against Chris Jones. I think
he has a real chance to prove that he is,
you know, an approved player here and I think they're
(33:21):
going to give him every chance to earn that starting spot.
You know, he'll likely be going against Trent Brown and
maybe even Arianta Ursie. So I think it could be
a good year for him, but he has to show
a lot of improvement win is one on one matchups,
and he's going to get some good players in camp
and the Neil Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Jonathan, how have you been satisfying your sports jones this
offseason and especially lately NBA playoffs astros? Have you been
watching UFL? What do you do non NFL wise to
satisfy that sports urge I.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Haven't been watching UFL very much, but have been checking
out NBA. I'm a I'm a big NBA fan, so
I've been watching these playoffs and it's missed some good basketball.
So yeah, and you know I used to back in,
you know when when tennis had a lot of stars.
(34:18):
I used to watch a lot of tennis. But just
a lot of my favorite stars are no longer playing, unfortunately,
in both men's and women. So it's been a lot
of U n B A and and and and watching
some Brave scores because I grew up a Braves fan
for most of my life and you're finally starting to win.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Okay, I know bost y'all miss this.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I watched one of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen
in the sporting event, and it literally just I think
I'm having a Friday.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
But you know we missed it. So I know you
missed it. Okay, what is it? U c l A
South Carolina Super Regional Softball. I did miss that. I
know you. I know I know both of you. I
know both of you missed it.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Did miss but it caught my eye in like the
fifth or sixth inning, and so I went into the
kitchen to do some cooking, and I was like, my.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Wife turned it off. I said, way, I want to
see the end of that.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
So u c LA even though there it was this
game two, so they were the home team. They're down five,
they're down four to one. In the seventh, they got nothing.
They put a pinch hitter up there and hit super Regional.
She gets a walk and it hit and it hit
an they hit and all of a sudden, girl comes
up leaves him in home runs, but it's zero for
the Regional. She has had a hit in two games.
(35:28):
Bomb they went five to four. Turn around Game three,
blow them out. They're up to zero going into seventh.
They score like four to seventh to get some insurance
us they went six. And it was the greatest thing.
I mean, I love because that's that's my guilty pleasure
at softball, baseball, college softball and baseball.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
There's Sturdy Moore in college softball. Yeah, they're scoring a
ton of college softball. But she hits. She yacks one
and it makes it five to four.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
They win in game two and you're like, oh, South
Carolina is dead and low hold next day South Carolina
was South Carolina was dead. All right, Jonathan Thunder, Wolves, Nicks, Pacers,
Let's go back to basketball, because I know that's of
those four is the fate of complete that the Thunder
are the best of the four and are gonna win
the championship.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
Yeah, I think so. They're the most talented team talked
to bottom. I would love to see the Wolves win
because I like Anthony Edwards, you know his game a lot.
But I think they just the Thunder just kind of
solidified it with that win last night, and it seems
like they're probably probably face the Pacers, who, you know,
even though they lost the other night. I think they're
(36:33):
their better team and they just have something special going on.
So Pacers Thunder. I think Thunder has the top team,
best team talked to bottom.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
Okay, I don't know if either one of you guys
saw the end of that game. This this I hate
this strategy decision up three foul or let him shoot
the three. I mean the Thunder played it perfectly, they
didn't allow allow him to get a shot.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Off, but I hate that. I hate that rule.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
If I could change a rule in sports, I think
that would be the.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
One I would change. That's a good one to change.
That's a good one to change.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
Potentially you potentially take away, you know, an exciting moment
from the game. So I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Yeah, it seems the NFL would take it away, or
at least try to.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Yeah, I get it. Take away the push.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
What about if you do get an actual foul, right,
you get an the legal screen, you get well, actually
that's against the offense, but something you know, somebody knocks
somebody over or whatever.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
But I get it. I get what you're saying. Intentional.
It was a horrible way to end a really great game.
It really was.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
It really was. And there were too many points scored.
I mean, and you got to find a way to
get on the MVP. Okay, you got to double them.
You got to do something here, Jonathan, If you were
still in the Carolinas and covering the Panthers, how would
you feel about what's going on at North Carolina. I
feel like the Belichick story is an NFL story, yet
here he is coaching college football.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
It's a weird deal. As a media member.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
If you were still there, I know your beat is
the Panthers, but say at the NFL and you're in
the state where the coach with the most Super Bowls.
Ever is coaching, but he's coaching a college team. How
would you approach all that? And this is an off
field story at the very least, So what are you thinking?
Speaker 4 (38:16):
Yeah, I mean I covered Carolina turn Hills football too,
so I mean it's interesting if I was covering the Panthers.
Is always something you look at because you know, I'm
not convinced Bill Belichick will try to remain in college
for much longer. But it's always interesting and everybody has
their eyes on it, especially with Bill Belichick and his
(38:37):
girlfriend and how that is kind of disrupting. It really
looks like a circus at this point. So something you
always keep your eye on. And you're right about because
Bill Belichick is synonymous with the NFL and that's where
he made his market. Still considered arguably the greatest coach
in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
Along those lines, Jonathan living in North Carolina the Hurricanes
when they're good, it's kind of a wild scene. Were
you ever asked to cover the Hurricanes in the NHL?
Speaker 4 (39:06):
I was. I was like a backup, not necessarily a backup,
but as like a number two for some of their
playoff games and writing I actually learned on the fly
and those games are crazy. Like the crowd at Carolina Hurricanes,
it's a pretty exciting atmosphere, but they're they're losing pretty bad.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
All right, Well, we might get hockey here, you I
know Mike yep well, Mike xanderd covering hockey and Texans.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
Well, I think he's got full here.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
I know, what's a dual threat. Yes, So what do
you have for us, Jonathan? Obviously you're going to talk
about ot as, right about that?
Speaker 2 (39:45):
What else?
Speaker 3 (39:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (39:46):
I have something about ot AS and what I'm looking
for and then stories from that. Earlier this week on Monday,
posted the story about guys who could be up for
contract extensions this year and next offseason.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
Okay, sounds good. Thanks a lot, Jonathan for joining us.
Speaker 4 (40:06):
Absolutely thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
There's Jonathan Alexander from the Houston Chronicle coming up. Among
other NFL things, is Tom Cruise that Tom Brady of
Cinema we'll discuss It's Texans Radio.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Back to it final segment here on the show.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
Anything that comes up, it's a grab bag anything going
on around the league or around the world. And this
question that I posed going into the last break, John Harris,
you have to answer the question, is Tom Cruise the
Tom Brady of cinema? Yes, our modern era.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Absolutely. Okay. You know my wife and I did on
Friday night, I think you eat Dead Reckoning.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Nope, we went back and watched the original Mission Impossible. Oh,
the original movie, the original Tom Cruise Mission Impossible.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
To say about this movie say about this.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
I mean, as soon as I saw John Voyd in it,
I was like, Okay, he's the villain.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
I know this.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
I mean John Voyd played the villain in like everything
Varsity lose everything except the champ but that was a
you know, right, but he played the villain and everything
and I we.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
Got done with this movie was nineteen ninety six.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
They hadn't they had flip phones, they had these old MacBooks.
I mean it was it was cool to watch and
I was like, I like this. But then you look
at what Tom Cruise has done. The Mission Impossible.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Series Top Gun.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
I mean thirty years after Top Gun, thirty years, maybe
forty years, he comes back and does another one yeap
and it's as successful, if not more than the first one.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
It.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Jullia is credited and maybe incorrectly, but saving theaters is
part of the resume because people flocked to see that
top Gun Maverick movie.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Yeah, yeah, and exactly it was. It's not a perfect movie,
but it was perfectly fun.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Right, it was great. It didn't offend anybody. It was
really great. Everybody got back to the movies and had
a good time, and Tom was entertaining everybody. He takes
this stuff very seriously in that way. He is the
Tom Brady of cinema, especially in this era where they
need to get butts in seats in the theater. But
I'll tell you my beef with Mission Impossible one okay
(42:12):
voids in it.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
And this is no spoiler the movies from the nineties,
so forget it. Thirty years ago.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
He's playing Jim Phelps, who was Peter Graves in the
TV show. And those who are more seasoned like me
will understand this. You can't kill Jim Phelps or make
Jim Phelps a bad guy.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
That sucks. Jim Phelps was a good guy, not a
bad guy.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
He's the guy who listened to the tape recorder Peter Graves,
and he should be a good guy.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
And I didn't like that.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
And none of the character is repeated except for him
from the TV show, which I was okay with, but
it was less of a team thing in my opinion,
a more of an Ethan Hunt thing. But you know
what I got over that after Mission Impossible two, which
was so so from three was okay because it has
Phillip Seymour Hoffman. But the rest of them I just
think are great amusement park ride movies. It is one
(43:01):
of the greatest action franchises ever, no question about that.
It's not as good as James Bond or something like that,
but it's really high caliber entertainment.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
When we went to Santa Clair in twenty sixteen, we
were out there for a whole week. The night before
we played the Niners.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
You're getting not You're getting your trips from? We went
to go see Mission Impossible, didn't we twenty fifteen Richmond
against Washington. We saw them again. I get all the
names confused, Ghost Protocol or one of those. Well I
looked at the dates. Yeah, I looked at the dates.
The twenty fifteen one whatever that was.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Oh, you know what, we went. We went saw Bad Moms.
We saw Bad Moms sixteen.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
They then Deep and High and uh, Matt Patterson of
all people, the three of us went to go see
Girls Trip.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Was that good?
Speaker 3 (43:49):
The Green Bride? Not at the Green Bride, but in Louisbourg,
West Virginia. And I'm sitting with Deep, like, have you've
seen Girls Trip? You kind of know we're watching this
and it is like, now, nothing is ever going to
offend me. But I'm sitting there with Deep like, I
don't know how it's good impact her. She had already
been on a heater because she did not want to
be at the Friar. She hated the Greenbriar. And we're
(44:11):
watching and we cackled. I mean we were cackling out loud.
So we try and make a movie each and every trip.
So I don't know what it'll be for when we
go to Minnesota, Detroit or whatever season, who knows, but
we'll try.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
We try and get a movie and if we if
we have the time, we have the time, if we
have the time and opportunity. Yeah, because when we were
in Santa Clair, I went we went to in and
Out for the first time.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
He came in and out Believer.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
Yeah, it's good, it's good. It's it's not what a burger,
but it's good anyway, I know. And this is like
arguing religion. Uh did you see the fight with that?
Did you see the Brett Favre doc? Oh I did good?
Speaker 2 (44:46):
I did?
Speaker 4 (44:47):
I Wow?
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Uh is it worth doing? I mean, is it that good?
Is it that great a subject? Because they get into
all the off field stuff and that's clearly what's right.
It's not a football life.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (45:02):
They danced through his his career pretty quickly until they
get to the Jets, and that's when they start the
Jets sturger stuff. And then they obviously they wanted to
get to and then they got to the Mississippi all
the Mississippi welfare funds and all that kind of stuff,
(45:22):
and you know, there's there there is a very very
very small part of me that like he he can
defend himself. I can, I can see it, but I
but when you see the text messages and emails and
stuff that he sent, you realize, oh, this is not
not good, not good at all. But when Brett Favre
(45:45):
was playing, it always felt like, other than John Madden,
there was always one of the guy that seemed to
kind of I don't say defend Farv, but it was
always with Peter King.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
Okay, Peter King is interviewed in this and what does
he say, Is it not good?
Speaker 2 (46:00):
It's not it's not so much it's not good, but
it's it's not.
Speaker 3 (46:05):
Look, you know, he's not making excuses for Farv, right,
He's like, here's the deal flawed very much. So now
Farv is not interviewed, which is not surprising. Nobody from
the far family is interviewed. But one of the things
that I thought took a little bit of a turn.
They talked about his dad, Irv, and they said, when
(46:26):
Irv died, this is an No. Three if you remember, Yeah,
Farv is that great game against the Raiders on Monday
night when right after his dad died. Right, They made
mention that when that happened, Farv was just on Farst plan.
Speaker 2 (46:39):
A different situation.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
They told a story when Farr was in Green Bay,
Mike Sherman's head coach, and Farv did something dumb and
Sherman's kind of laying into him a little bit, and
far basically, coming off the field, looked at him and said,
what do you do about it?
Speaker 1 (46:52):
And then walked back and sat down laughing. That's in
the documentary. Yes, okay, I'm in, Yes, I'm in. I'm
gonna watch it. That's it, that's it, all right. So
tomorrow night we're gonna watch OTAs during the day and
at night you can visually on the radio watch them
with us because we will describe some of the things
that we saw that are important to you Texans fans.
So that'll be on tomorrow night's program. Can't wait for
(47:15):
it than John McClain on Thursday. It's all coming up
this week. Thanks so much for listening. Area forty five
coming up next. You got to hear what those guys
have to say about everything in the world of sports.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Have a great night, Go Texans.
