Speaker 1 (00:00):

You are going.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Texans Radio, Mark Vandermer and John Harris with you back
on the field tomorrow morning at eight live on Sports
Radio six' Ten, tonight some of the best of training.
Camp Johnny's harris hits of the. Day will boil them
down quickly for you in the coming. Moments want to
remind you that as he's Al, shire he was on
in the. Loop we're gonna have the best of that
interview a little bit later on. Today you got to

(00:27):
hear his ease And henry toe at toa before the
hour is, up leading tackler for the squad last, year
plus an extended visit with executive vice president and general
Manager Nick. Casserio but let's get To johnny here with the.
Hits Johnny day two in the, Books Tamiko ryans has
a decision to.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Make, okay he probably has to sit down With Nick
hayley and, say, Look, nick we want you to get
stuff done offensively during.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Practice so will it help you If Will.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Anderson junior just sits on the sideline for now like
like he will be like you know a dog that's
you're holding on a, leash like, no you can't, go
and you're holding whatever to hold him. Back this offense
will get nothing done when fifty one's on the.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Field last, year it.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Is and it struck me today in, particular that he's
so much LIKE. Jj now they are completely different. PLAYERS
jj was almost three hundred. Pounds will's two fifty. THREE
i think that's his chosen. Weight there are different, players
but the mindset is the exact. Same and you could

(01:34):
see a, building see a, building see it, building but
he just wrecks everything because what we will is.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Done when he got here as a, rookie he was
a house of.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Five he JUST i mean, power this, power long arm
like powered through. Everybody he was gonna go with power
all day long and in any in every.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Respect he was just gonna power through.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Everybody there was kind of a finesse that he, needed
that he needed to learn AND i thnk after his rookie,
years like, Okay so he added some of, That he
added some more of his pass rush moves got to
a point by the time we got to the, playoffs no,
charger no chief could block him, effectively especially the Chief
chiefs had no idea how to block, him and you're,
like all, right if he takes another leap from year

(02:22):
two to year, three this is going to.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Be it's he's gonna almost be.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Unblockable AND i saw him win off the edge with long,
arm straight, power just take a right tackle and put
him right back on the.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Lap Of cej's.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
JOB i saw him dip and rip and go beyond
the right, tackle kind of setting him up a little
shimmy and then.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Ripping underneath and get to the quarterback run. Game forget,
it just forget. It can't do. It they tried to
run At daniel to today And.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
DEANIELLE i don't know IF i put this In harris,
hits But daniel just he locked. UP i think it
was a wide zone they were running And danil just
locked up tack or tight end whoever it, was and was, like,
no this play's. Over and it ran right into the
back Like nick ran right into the back of the
offensive tackle and all the tackles are, moving so it
was hard to tell who that. Was but either, way

(03:12):
When Will Anderson junior is on the, field the offense
and not unlike a lot of other, offenses really, struggle
especially in, practice Because will's just disrupting.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Everything and like WITH, jj it's gonna have to be.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Subtle but they're gonna have to be moments where you
get him out just so your offense can do.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Something i'm all for, That. Johnny can we just sit
them down and bubble wrap them? Now they look so
good AND i don't know IF i need them out
there every. Day you're, right they do have a decision to.
Make you gotta be really careful with. This i'm looking
At will just walking onto the practice field this. Morning i'm,
Thinking will's. Healthy will's. Healthy it's. GOOD i want to
keep them. HEALTHY i know they need to. Work they

(03:54):
need to iron sharpens, iron they need to hone their.
Skills they're good to. Go, man their midseason form right.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Now will And. Daniel SO i kind of just chatted
With will just a little.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
BIT i, Said, MAN i was, LIKE i have to
take you out of practice for this offense to do. Anything,
man you would have THOUGHT i called him the worst
names in the book at that. Point he was, Like
i'm not coming out Iron sharpe's. Iron i'm, like that's the.
Way that's the WAY jj. Thought remember in hard, knocks
O'Brien put him back. In he's, like that's what.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Back?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
In, yeah that's why they put. Me he just destroys the.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Place one of my favorite moments in training camp Because
watt just destroyed out for the, place went crazy AND
jj just you, know was.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Awesome they do it in different.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Ways by the, WAY i apologize for my Terrible bill O'Brien.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Impression, no that's. Okay we all have a bad O'Brien.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Impression that said those those two but and will the
first two days just forget about. It. Now when you hear,
that you're, like, oh these tackles must be getting it
given to. Him and two. Degree, yes, however it's a
couple of days, in but you kind of know we've

(05:07):
done this a long enough. Time you kind of know
when you're watching a guy and you're, like, hmmm Ariantae
erserie is.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Gonna compete his guts. Out that is a large human.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Being he's got a huge, butt WHICH i know you're
thinking to, go, okay what does that. Mean it just
shows he's strung as hell on the lower. Body but
he was one Of Bruce feldman's. Freaks Bruce feldman writes
for the athletic does this thing every year called The Freaks,
list and he puts on there guys in college of
all walks of, life, guards, tackles, quarterbacks, punters, whatever and

(05:40):
he just goes, around you, know to he calls around
different strength. Coaches he just, hey what guys do things
athletically that are just. Different so the last two years
has been on that, list squatting like six hundred pounds
bench press and.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
God knows what strong as can.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Be i've watched him these couple of days against he's
gone Against danil that WHAT i could see on the left.
Side it's gone Against daniel and he's held up pretty.
Well but there was a run play today where AND
i REMEMBER i wrote this in my Hairs hits from
The Senior. Bowl on the very first run play of
a team Period's Senior. Bowl they ran AND i can't

(06:17):
remember what it, was But arianta had a down, block
which are easier for offensive, lineman but he down blocked
on a kid From, Nebraska Tyro, robinson and he knocked
him all the way to the other side of the
formation and just drove him into the. GROUND i just
remember writing down like, that that's, Impressive LIKE i think
he's got some work to do pass, protection but, man
in the run, GAME i saw him do not quite like,

(06:39):
that but a run play where he just dominated the,
edge AND i, thought, man that's a good. Sign you
Interviewed Titus. HOWARD i don't want to take anything. Away
don't take.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
IT i.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
WON'T i, WON'T i know for a. SEGMENT i, know
but you asked him about Arianta. Ursery his answer is
definitely worth listening. To when you add in What i'm
telling you and What titus, said you get the thought
THAT i got this one. Right just stay healthy and
pick a, side left or. Right pick a side and

(07:13):
go figure it out from that side from this day,
forward and be that rock on that, side left or.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Right either.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
WAY i think it has to be right Unless Blake
fisher is just knocking it out of the park right
at right. Tackle AND i don't know if he is or,
not But Cam robinson can't play. Right he's a stalwart
left tackle type.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Guy it's two.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Days in that put pads, on And i'm trying to
not be hyperbolic in a. Sense i'm just telling you
WHAT i. See Ariantae ersery is going to be one
of the. Five, WOW i don't know which. Position, man
they might even put him a. Guard, hell who. Knows
you want to get your best five out. There seventy
nine is one of your best.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Five, okay that's. Strong that means they did get it.
Right so we'll see how it all plays. Out But,
johnny if they got this right and they Got higgins,
right that, alone Because i'm Watching nol out there And i'm,
thinking there is no way That nol is not doing
some big things for this, team at least significant. Things

(08:12):
i'm not talking about eighty. Catches i'm talking about big.
Catches nol is going to be. There he's so.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Honestly.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Different but he moves at a different as my whole
basketball coach used to, say at a different rate of.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Speed like he is.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Different whether it's breaking out of a, route whether it's
catching the, ball turn up the.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Field everything is so like sudden and.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Explosive you get really really excited about what he's able to. Do,
uh and kind of why we're on the. Rookies So Jalen,
smith you, KNOW i mentioned And i've talked About. Jayleen
he had a really nice pass breakup on the sideline
where he was in cover three read the route Of
Jared Wayne Jared wrening kind of a like a deeper speed,
out you, know out cut near the, sidelines And jalen

(08:58):
broke from out of nowhere and knocked it.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Away, now this is WHAT i love about, Rookies So
i'll tell you.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
This ariante he got it given it to him by
By will at one point, too Like will did a
nice little dip and rip And ariante was, like WHOA
N i was at right. Tackle so that's a little
bit of an. Adjustment so he's got to adjust. There
but rookies, learned, hey you might you might have a
play where you get the vet or you make the.
Play and it was Like jalen had that knocked down

(09:25):
and he stood, up he started dancing or, whatever but
he celebrated a little. Bit two plays, later he's in
pressman up Against Xavier, hutchinson an ex just Slam. David
by the, Way Davis mills is slinging it right. Now,
yeah he's thrown about as well AS i can. Remember
davis just, darts just throws a dart right to X
it's year.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Five, YEAH i know think about. THAT i know it's year,
five year. Five but he hits him And. JALEN i,
Mean jalen was on, him but not good. Enough so
it's like you live the life of a.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Rookie you're gonna have a great rep against the New,
Hunter you're gonna have a great rep against you, Know Jared.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Wayne but you need to be consistent at all.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Levels but if you're there every, day you, Will you'll
keep stacking those. DAYS i still Think Jamelen smith's got
a lot a, Lot he's got a lot of work to,
do but he is going to end up making an
impact on this.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Team, okay let's check in as we did this morning
with general manager and executive vice President Nick. Casario after,
that some other things coming, along including a conversation With
henry to At.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Toa Here's.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Nick, well it's great to see you.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
All, right here we.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Are we're, back and we're just talking about various elements of.
Practice how hard is it for you to not get
hung up on one or two plays or a trend
here and a trend there and just take the whole
thing as it.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Comes, no that's the most important.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Thing, SO i, mean the way the league is set,
up especially his first three or four, practice there's a
certain acclamation period everybody kind of goes, through so the
practice are structured a certain. Way you understand that reps
are going to be a little bit. Limited then we'll
have an off day On, sunday AND i would say
essentially training camp will really start On monday when we
put the pads, on when you start to see some
of the physical elements come into. Play so you really

(11:04):
have to break training camp up into some, blocks kind
of that first two to two week period before the
first preseason. Game then that first preseason game will be
an opportunity for some players probably play a little bit
more than. Others it's the way it works around the.
League and then the way we're structured this, year excuse,
me we're gonna have a few joint practices with some other.
Teams it's an our evaluation. Tool so really what you

(11:24):
try to do is over the next four to six,
weeks kind of get a good, evaluation make sure you're
not seeing anything different than you thought you were gonna,
see and then try to make the decisions that you
feel or an invest interests of the. Team understanding we're
gonna keep fifty three on the, roster we're gonna have
another sixteen or so players on the practice, squad and
we've talked about this multiple times on this. Show we
kind of operate as if where you have seventy players

(11:46):
available on a weekly. Basis so it's just about making
sure that as best we can keep the right seventy on.
Campus understanding we're gonna lose some. Players we have to
expose them to, waivers but that's just part of the.
Process but don't get too caught, up and anybody can
go out there and make one play on one. Day,
really what we're looking for is the consistency of performance

(12:06):
over the course of, time because that's what you're gonna
have to sustain over the course of the.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Season you've always reminded, us we've tried to remind. Fans
roster construction is twenty four to, seven three sixty. Five
it's not like there's a frege in period In. March
it stops AND i bring it up because we go
to the off. Season everybody goes to the. Break you
signed two, Corners Damon, Arnette Arthur. Maulette what can you
tell us about those two?

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Acquisitions, Nick, YEAH i mean different players have a certain
level of. Experience i'd say starting With. Arthur arthur was
a player that we had worked out in the, spring
so and then as we went through to get ready
for training, camp we felt there was gonna we were
probably need another corner or two just from a numbers
and a competition. Standpoint But arthur's found her way to
stick around this league for a number of. Years he wasn't,

(12:49):
drafted and he's played in a number of different, systems
has some flexibility inside deformation outside the, formation has a
certain level of toughness and playing, style you, know place
physical for his. Side so we thought that was a
player that potentially could add a little bit more depth
to that. Room AND i would say In damon's, Case
damon's history is pretty well. Chronicle that would, say obviously
the first part of her career didn't go very well

(13:11):
for a myriad of, reasons and then there was a
gap there and then he played in THE ufl in the,
spring and actually that transaction you were limited in terms
of when you can actually sign those. Players you had
to wait till a certain date to be able to consummate.
That but similar To, arthur different we didn't work them
out the same, day but we had Worked arthur out
at some point in junior excuse, Me damon out In,

(13:32):
june and then we kind of kept tabs and then
at some point we made a decision after a pretty
thorough of betting. Process, look there's potentially a little bit
of risk involved, here but for where we, were we
felt comfortable given the. Opportunity we'll see how it. GOES i,
mean nobody's guaranteed, anything but those two players have a
certain level of, experience and you, know we'll see how
they compete relative to the rest of the.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Group nickas camp, opens we get that pup list AND
nfi and we quickly reminded the fans that this pupp
is not the that's going to take Place Labor.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Day but what can you tell the.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Fans about how that, works how you make those, decisions
because guys can come off very, quickly.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Right absolutely so when training, camp when they, report everybody
goes through the physical process and they've either met the
requirements where they're physically ready to, play and they all
go out there in practice and be able to kind
of perform their. Job, say some players are at different.
Stages some players may need three or four, days some
players may need a week or. Two some players may
need a little bit, longer so you just try to

(14:30):
gauge the information and that's why they're categorize as, active ACTIVE,
pup ACTIVE nfi the end the. Season once a regular season,
starts when you cut the, team that player is either
off of ACTIVE pup and on your roster or he
stays on RESERVE pup or RESERVE, nfi and then similar
to THE ir designate for, return you have four weeks

(14:51):
before that player is. Eligible so a lot of it
is just based on when are they going to be
ready to be able to go out there and perform
and do their.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Job but it's very.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
Fluid could the guy be on there for a day
and then come. OFF a guy can be on there
for two days and then come. Off so we'll monitor
that on a regular. Basis we talk as a staff
about whether a player is ready or, not and then
when the player is, ready then we'll put him on
a practice. Field doesn't mean he's going to be able
to do, everything but we might have to ease him.
In so training, camp every team goes through. This there's
varying levels of, timing but you have a little bit

(15:19):
of flexibility in training camp when they Board nick.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
One he said stood out was a number of running
backs there on PUP, nfi which going back to the
end of the mini, camp you Signed Nick, chubb and
now you look up and, go, Wow, Okay nick's one
of the guys that's got experience in that.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Room you know, what he's a.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Rookie juar was a practice squad last. Year you, know
you Got dara and you Got. Nick what can you
tell us About? Nick what he's meant since you signed,
him and what do you think you've got in?

Speaker 5 (15:45):
Him, yeah we signed him as around for the last
day or two before we kind of broke for the.
Summer but you, Know nick's a very experienced, player has
been very productive. Player he's had some injuries that he's
had a deal with over the course of his. Career
when he's been healthy and been, available he's been as
productive as any back in the. League so, smart, instinctive,
Tough it's got a good playing, style great, demeanor great,

(16:05):
makeup very, professional works very. Hard so have some work
to do just relative to our, system because there's LIKE i,
said he was only here for a day or, two
so you, know we'll see where he is in training
camp and the progress that he Makes nick.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Offensively we saw the offseason. Practices now it's training camp
With Nick kelly coordinating the.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Offense what is the?

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Process how does all that work as you install new
plays and a new system and build up towards the
start of the regular.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Season, yeah for. Sure, honestly this is kind of our
second time through the. Installation so when we started OTAs
or whenever we phase three or whatever you, want we
put the offense, in went through it in the, spring
practiced a little, bit and then we have a little
bit of a. Break so now we're going to go
back and you reinstall actually what you did in the.
Spring so you've probably got eighty five ninety percent of

(16:53):
the offense in in the, Spring so now we'll go
through it in training camp, here probably a little bit quicker.
Pace you just have more time on the, Field so
it's really a second or third opportunity for some players
to go out there and really what you're trying to
do is just build reps and be comfortable with the,
calls with the, formation ing with the, concepts and then
we'll tweak some things as we, go but we'll put

(17:13):
the base of the offense offensively and, defensively the foundation
and kicking game as. Well the foundation of what we're
going to do during the season will be put in place.
Here we'll practice some, things maybe a little bit more than,
others and then we get to the regular, season then
it'll the game plan will be put together based on
who the opponent is and what we feel like we
have to do that.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Week, nicho listen yesterday to your.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
PRESSER i heard you say the word, competition that that's
what you wanted training camp to be.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
About.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Competition whether it's on THE o line where it's obvious
guys are trying different positions out you're, okay what about this,
move let's put these guys.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Here there are different combinations you're trying to come up.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
With but even for guys that have been around for a,
while establishing that, competition can you speak to how important
that is for this, camp for this team to maintain
the level a high level of.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Competition, sure we feel like we have a number of
good players in the, building so when we practice against one,
another it's good competition amongst one, another and you're helping
your teammate hopefully improve or get better and work on
something that is potentially going to help him against an.
Opponent so we're all teammates, here but by the same,
token we're still gonna push one. Another defensive line is

(18:20):
gonna push the offensive line and vice. Versa corners and
the receivers are going to work against one, another but
they're gonna work with each. Other so we've got to
pretty good, group pretty professional group understands of working in
concert with one, another but also not being afraid to
challenge one. Another and if there's something that they can
articulate to one, another, hey.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Here's WHAT i. See maybe try.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
This that's how players learn is learn from each other
more than anything.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Else so we feel like we have the ability to do.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
That And dimiko has talked about, This he talked about
it with you, all he talks about it with the.
Team we really believe iron sharpens. Iron so and then
every player has the responsibility to come out here and
perform to the best of their ability so that you're
helping the other guy side of the.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
BALL i have a point in my hair's hits that
happened during special teams should definitely want to go read.

Speaker 5 (19:05):
It self promote self promotion blue the other day as.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Well those are very.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Nice those were. NICE i got those for twenty bucks of.
Doubts they're. Nice you would you might wear the size
BECAUSE i eat different than. You but but there's a
point in there THAT i want people to read because
it happened during special.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Teams, well everybody else is on their.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
Phones i'm sitting there watching And i'm watching exactly what you.
Said i'm watching guys helping. Guys two, guys one. Guy
we Mentioned Damon arnette And Treymont smith that are going
to be competing at some, point and yet there they
are on a gun or drill And tremont's Helping damon
with a technique that you Know damien was trying to figure.
Out tremont stepped to the front of the line and, say,
hey hey watch WHAT i. Do how MUCH i do?
THIS i got, this And damon filed right after. Them

(19:46):
AND i think that's the point you're making right.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
There, yeah that's emblematic of kind of what the our
players are. About we have a lot of professional a
lot of selfless players that they're focused on their, job
but if there's an opportunity to help one, another and it's,
Saying damon case he's late to our, team so if
somebody can help him get up to, speed then that's
our responsibility to each. Other so it's about investing in.

(20:10):
People it's about investing in your. Teammates and we've talked
about this On. Sundays those are the people you have
to rely. On they can't necessarily hear What demiko is.
Saying they can't hear what a coach is yelling from the.
Sidelines you's got seventy thousand people in the, stadium so
you're gonna look to your, left you're gonna look to your,
right you're gonna look in, front and you're relying on
your teammate because that's what the game is.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
About, well one of those guys is Will Anderson. Junior
he just watched by And. Nick he's one of those.
Guys he's got a game face on when he walks
out of the practice. Field when you're evaluating, players that's
got to be a big part of. It how do they,
prepare how do they? Practice because that determines how you
play in the, game, right.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
ABSOLUTELY i mean that's.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
Something and we'll start the fall scouting process and you
alluded to it And Mark kletz scoutzer here for the
first four, day four or five, days and then when
they're done, here they're gonna start to go watch, practices
so they're gonna start to evaluate players for the twenty sixth.
Draft but how they, practice their, attitude their, mindset what's
their level of, work what's their commitment to. Work we're
absolutely focused on that because this league is about, work

(21:09):
it's about, effort and it's about. Toughness so practice execution
becomes game. Reality so if you don't do it on
the practice, field it's probably not going to carry over
to the field On. Sundays so your thought, process your,
mindset you have to be very purposeful what you're trying
to get. Accomplished AND i would say nobody embodies that
more Than. Will And will is one of the nicest

(21:29):
guys you'll ever, meet but when he's on the football,
field he wants to rip your heart.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Out so there's a balance.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
There but that's what makes the really good players really
good because they have the requisite physical ability and then
you combine that with a mindset and that's how they,
become you, know good players or really good players amongst
the league of good.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Players you, Know i'm contractually obligated to ask you about
the draft and.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Or ROOKIE i already got ahead of. It SEE i,
KNOW i.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
KNOW i Mean i'm trying to stay ahead. Too i'm
getting my work.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Done but the rookies when they get in training can
so the first time now they went to and you
got a chance to see them up, close when you've
got them in mini camp And. OTA's but now they're
a training. Camp it's a whole different. Animal what is
it that you want to see from?

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Them?

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Nick on a daily, Basis it's.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Really about consistency and establishing a routine that works for.
You so everybody has something that is gonna work for.
Them don't make it bigger than what it really. Is
so the, spring you're kind of small, doses kind of
get up to. Speed now training camp and we're not
holding anybody's hand. Anymore so there's gonna be some ups and.
Downs you're gonna have some good, days it's gonna have
some bad. Days can you just push? Through and then

(22:33):
can you stay consistent with everything that you're doing with
your habits off the, field your preparation or your, nutrition your,
sleep your, Recovery those.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
Are the things that sometimes get.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Lost but the quicker that you can figure out what
works for you the. Better so this practice is. Hard
we're gonna practice in ninety five, degree it's gonna be,
Hot so how do you handle? That are you prepared for?
It are you doing the things that are? Required because
you still want to be able to go out. There
make sure you're mentally and physically prepared for what you
have to do on the. Field so, overall that group's
pretty mature. Group they've had a good, mindset pretty good work.

(23:05):
Ethics so don't do anything, different but just try to
get yourself into consistent routine over the course of the next,
hour many.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Weeks all, right training camp has evolved BECAUSE i remember
it seemed like just a few years ago when we
had you really couldn't start camp until about two weeks
before your first preseason. Game now it seems like we
have a few extra. Days but this is a far
cry from when you entered the. League what was camp
like with the twa days when you first Got you're going.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
To practice in the, morning you take a, break and
then you come back in the, evening have another workout
or PRACTICE i mean in, Pads SO i mean it
was more, volume there was more. Intensity it was a
little bit longer. DAY i think the league has done
a pretty good. Job everybody's kind Of we've modified some.
Things you're just trying to make sure that you're doing
what's in the best interest of the. Players so we're
not gonna complain about. It whatever the rules, are or

(23:49):
figure out a way to maximize their, opportunities take advantage
of time in the evening, walkthroughs whatever it. Is even
during a, Walkthrough demico talks to the team about, That,
like your effort and focus shouldn't be any different a
walkthrough than it is on the practice field in the.
Morning so the more we do, that everybody HAS x number,
Hours so who's utilizing those hours to the best of your? Ability,

(24:10):
like that's the competitive advantage that we're trying to gain
over the company over the rest of the.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
League so in twenty, seventeen when you remember of a different,
organization you met with us at The.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Greenbrier we practiced there for a few.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Days we realized it was about seventy five degrees when
the day kicked. Off how much did that come into
your mind as and You demiko over deciding what you
wanted to do with training camp to get out of
the heat and get to a place where you'd been,
before you'd seen, it you kind of knew what it was,
About you knew what the weather was, about what you
can gather from the players for our full practice as
opposed to survival for the last ten minutes here where

(24:43):
your thoughts about going to The greenbrier, again.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
It's all those, Factors, john that you, Mentioned so not
too dissimilar to kind of what we did last. Year
so the way it worked, out we played The hall
Of fame, GAME i stayed up In, cleveland and then
we buttressed that because we had the road game Against.
Pittsburgh so anytime you go away for, something it's really
good opportunity for the team just to focus on the
t you don't, have not that you don't. Have you
have distractions here when you're, home but do you have
less distractions where all the focus is just it's the,

(25:07):
team it's the, coaches it's the. Players we have each
other and to get in a different. Environment AND i
would say The, greenbrier the logistics they're really. Work they've
done a great. Job it's a great, facility two good practice.
Fields we always enjoyed our opportunity to go up, there
and practice against different. Teams we did it multiple, times
like you, mentioned so we're looking forward to. It sometimes
a little bit of a change of scenery is just

(25:27):
good for the, team kind of breaks up them In anotnia,
Camp so Between greenbrier and then the preseason, game then
they come home practic Against carolina and then go To
detroit practice Against. Detroit you're just trying as best you
can assimilate and simulate what's going to happen during the regular.
Season so you, know we'll take advantage of our time
here In houston over the next however many, days and
then once we transition to The, greenbrier try to take
advantage of that as.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Well do the.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Joint practices affect how often or how long people play
in these preseason, games how many snaps they.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Get it's case by. Case each team kind of does
a little bit.

Speaker 5 (25:57):
DIFFERENTLY i think the trend that you've seen is you
get your. Work whatever group you, identify they get the
majority of the work and the, practices and maybe you
handle the game a little bit. Differently so it's just
how do you want to balance practice versus the?

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Game what's the? Goal what are you trying to.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Accomplish so there's a number of things that go into
that calculus and we'll figure out what works and what
makes the most sense for.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Us, Okay so the other show that you like to
go on On sean And, show, no like that's like
your Beach. Residents this is like your primary. Residence we're
on every. Week, yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly so. Exactly BUT
i Heard sean mention that you started striking up a
conversation With TRIPLE h At Sloan.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
That actually did.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Happen, Yes SO i know you're a big wrestling, fan
so how was.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
That it was?

Speaker 5 (26:42):
Awesome it was AND i think you, know sometimes we
get wrestling is it's a great, sport it's great. Entertainment
but as a, business they've done and operated as well
as anybody when you look across the. Landscape SO i
happened to be on a panel a little bit later
in the, afternoon SO i was there a little bit,
earlier so they had it Was TRIPLE h and one
of The netflix. Executives they were talking about kind of

(27:03):
the transition FROM usa or wherever it was To netflix
And raw and just the thought process and what goes into.
It it was really interesting and THEN i, SAID i
got to go back there and like me triple. H
SO i mean he's probably wondering what the hell he
was doing back, there like who is this? Guy BUT
i am a big fan of, Wrestling so in a,
Bash i'm not going to hide it and pretend That
i'm not.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Interested So sean AND i get a kick out of.

Speaker 5 (27:24):
It but going back to from a business, standpoint there
is good a, business as successful a business as there
is out.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
There As seth would, say it's not, fake it's.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Scripted But i'm blown away how many intelligent, people really
intelligent people love. It explain the appeal just.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Quickly it's.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Entertainment it's, different but football is. Entertainment we're all in
the entertainment businesses and, capacity so there's a certain level
of skill and talent that's. Required you see in some
you see personalities of people and the ability to speak
to the, crowd how they are in the, mic how they,
present and how they perpetuate the. Story it's, interesting so

(28:02):
we understand what it. Is but they're still an appeal
because it's the longest, RUNNING i, mean one of the
most successful pro over the course of however many. Years
if you're not, successful you're not good at what you,
do then you probably would have gone. Away but they've
kind of found a way to continually. Evolve there's a mass.
Appeal one of the things that actually they Mentioned It's
sloan was how much interest there is from the females

(28:26):
and a women. Population probably more than. PEOPLE i want
to say it was like forty five fifty, Percent so
you wouldn't, think, well what a women want or in in.
Wrestling so it's, entertaining it's, fun it creates a little
bit of.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Enjoyment it's a good.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
Diversion so you've got some Friend Jerry schaplinsky AND i
are actually kind of go back and forth Because jerry's
a wrestling fan as. Well so it's, fun it's, enjoyable
it's a good. Outlet, honestly when you.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Mentioned, business it made me think of.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
This and THEN i saw a couple of guys go,
by and there's one of you gave a contract to last,
year AND i know you would say he earned, it
and that Was Nico. Collins guys got tracks this, offseason
and you kind of got ahead of the, curve especially On.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
STING i mean that, GAME i think right after the.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Combine what was it about those particular players that you
wanted to make sure we got to keep these guys
and keep them As texans for a.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
While, yeah we've always.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
Operated we're open, minded we're, flexible and if we think
it's the right thing for the organization and the right
thing for the, players try to figure out a.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Solution we're very solutions minded.

Speaker 5 (29:23):
Here and when you have a player in the building
for three, years you hopefully have a pretty good idea
of what you have with that, player and you, know
if you feel comfortable with making that. Decision the market's the.
Markets the part of our job is understand the, market
what do we think some of the trends, are what
do we think is going to? Happen and then when
you get to the actual, negotiation you, KNOW i Think

(29:45):
i've got a pretty good working relationship with most. Agents
so we're always open. Minded we're always willing to do.
Deals if it makes sense both you, know, economically and
it's the right thing to do by the, player then
we're going to try to do the right. Thing and
that's in everybody's best. Interest so to be able to
reward players for the, PERFORMANCE i, mean they've put a
lot of time and energy and effort into, it and
they've earned those. Opportunities to your, Point, john so if

(30:07):
we can come to a solution that, works. Great if
it doesn't work, out maybe it's at a later. Point
so we're just gonna try to do. Business is we
see fit understand the larger landscape of the league with
any end focus on The Houston texans and what's best for.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Us i've got one more for, you And i've asked
you something similar, Before but what's the state of the
art here for staying hydrated or staying sane in the
hot weather for not just a player's nick or for,
us but anybody playing, golf for anybody else to be
outside this time of?

Speaker 4 (30:35):
Year what do you? Think no coaches as?

Speaker 5 (30:37):
Well SO i mean your sleep is, important your hydration LIQUID.
Iv we've got more. Research our nutrition, Staff Lad harris
and his staff doing got unbelievable, job as good as
any in the. League so we have enough resources that are.
Available and going back to what we talked about it,
earlier you just have to establish a routine for yourself at.
Works there's you got to make sure that your intake is.
Consistent there's a recovery period that's. Involved we have a

(30:59):
number of coaches like to work, out so solid, mind solid,
body all that kind of fits. Together so you got
to take the necessary measure to keep yourself as best
you can cool under the, circumstances which we know what
the environment is and we'll handle, it and it's just
about having a plan and being able to go out
there and execute the plane as best you.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Can, Outstanding, nick thanks a lot for joining.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
Us, ell it's great to see.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
You there's our visit With Nick casario coming, Up aziz Al.
Shire you're gonna hear from The linebacker. Next he was
a guest on then The loop today and it was
really good, stuff so let's get to some of that
along With henry to to toa as. Well linebacker you
coming up in the next half of the. Program It's
Texans radio in the cozy confines and air conditioned two

(31:39):
of the hun Day Texans Radio. Studio It's Texans All.
Access we'll be back outside eight to ten, Am John
harris AND i as we go over day three of
training camp And sean at seth six to eight in
The loop after that with a big. Guests so it's
gonna be a lot of fun tomorrow, Morning Titus howard
in the eight o'clock, Segment so sometimes it's eight about eight,

(32:01):
twenty you're gonna want to hear from the longest Tenured
texan position player and hear what he has to say
about some of his new. Teammates this is good as
they continue to build culture and build togetherness cohesiveness.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
On THAT o.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Line but let's switch to defense. Now And johnny AND
i have talked about this numerous. Times we had a
great visit last year PRESEASON tv production meeting With aziz Al,
shier and he really won our, hearts and he wins
everybody over that he spends time. With and it was
really terrible what happened to him during the. SEASON a
lot of, talk a lot of, misrepresentation misinterpretation of what

(32:37):
disease is all about as a person in the organization
really came to his. Defense, anyway he was a guest
on in The loop With John lopez And Reggie atatula this,
morning so we thought let's run some of that back.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Because it was. Good here are the guys With aziz Al.
Shire how you, doing hey?

Speaker 7 (32:55):
Man we are having an absolute Last my name Is Reginald.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
ADATULA i know you, like who is this fresh?

Speaker 7 (33:00):
Face because this is my first Time, houston In, Houston
texas training camp and so one of the things that
has been really.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Interesting thank, YOU i appreciate.

Speaker 7 (33:07):
It one of the Things i've been very interested in
is like the level of advice that you have for
new guys to, Camp like what what maybe did you
have were you giving or what do you maybe telling
new guy to camp as a level of advice that's
been helpful for you or helpful for.

Speaker 8 (33:19):
Them, MAN i would, say it's, hot especially during training. Camp,
man you, know we're running around all, day even if
you're on the SIDELD i haven't seen people who just
in the stands end up passing out Literally like SO i,
man it's, hot, Man so make sure you wear the right. Clothes,
man make sure you wear the right. Clothes you. Know
De miko he always tells us ain't no sweat pads and.

(33:39):
Hoodies don't come out here with no. Hoodie, Man you're
gonna be on the. Stretcher so that's probably the first
ADVICE i would say from a players.

Speaker 6 (33:46):
Standpoint, man it's, fast, man it's.

Speaker 8 (33:48):
Fast this is my seventh season now been man right,
there seven years man with this man right, Here so
you know it's been man man toime go by so.
Fast SO i, MEAN i just tell the young guys
to enjoy it and brace. It be grateful every.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Day you.

Speaker 8 (34:09):
Know demko talks about the bridge that we got to
walk across cause of the gratitude. Bridge, uh just be
grateful to be out, here. Man and the more YEARS i,
played the faster it goes. By you just, see you,
know the years go go.

Speaker 7 (34:20):
Go So i'm just grateful when you do cross that gratitude,
Bridge like what immediately comes to mind for? You BECAUSE
i imagine you're visualizing any.

Speaker 8 (34:26):
Time, man just a little, angry little, rookie drafted rookie
In San, francisco torn a cl walking out there With Drake.
Greenlaw we're just trying to figure out how to play.
Football demico ryans and yelling at us and telling us
like you just, said just, now did you make any place?
Today he used to have a rule with, us me
And Drake greenlaw when we were. Rookies he, said you
ain't making a. Play you can't, smile like, hey.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
You catch you?

Speaker 8 (34:48):
Laughing like what you're laughing? For you ain't make no,
Play so you, KNOW i just think about stuff like. That,
man it didn't grateful for how Far i'm coming and
still doing.

Speaker 6 (34:56):
It, Man i'm grateful for.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
That you didn't make a play, today, Right.

Speaker 8 (34:58):
Hey, MAN i made some. Place you, KNOW i ain't
make as many As jalen, today but you KNOW i made.

Speaker 9 (35:02):
Some, yeah we saw, that And Demiko ryans was in
a very good move stopped by. It to give you
a couple of words of whatever the, criticism fun he
was having some fun With he was, smiling and he
was smiling because the defense looked good.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
Today. MAN i, MEAN i know you go.

Speaker 9 (35:17):
Full kind of full, board no, paths but you can
tell some. Things could you tell some things today about this?
Defense there were some plays out.

Speaker 6 (35:22):
There, Yeah, Matt, MATT i think it's just back and.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
Forth you, know it's just iron shopper and iron is
What demiko always tells, us and we we gotta practice
that every.

Speaker 6 (35:29):
Day SO i, Think, uh it's THE.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
Nfl you, Know i've been in the league for seven
years And i've probably been a part of like maybe
five total. Blowouts like me AND cj AND ej were
talking about this, Yesterday it's like it's THE.

Speaker 6 (35:42):
Nfl it's the best of the. Best there's no higher than.

Speaker 8 (35:44):
This this is The Jeff bezos and you, Know elon
musk up the world and our profession in one. Place
so you really gotta bring you bring your best every.
Day so it was a good day for.

Speaker 9 (35:53):
Sure you talk, about you, know the. Bridge we Had
Will anderson here. Yesterday he was talking about the puzzle
PIECES i think you Called demico calls it the put
the ring on the ball or something like, that or
bull on the ring. Whatever it is a lot of
coaches when they have these little catchphrases and you, know
things that they try to focus. On it's kind of
an eye roll for. Players it doesn't seem like it's

(36:14):
ever an eye. Roll When domico says it like it's
sincerely from his, heart does that make it resonate a little?

Speaker 6 (36:19):
More, yeah for.

Speaker 8 (36:20):
SURE i MEAN i think especially you, know because you,
know everybody knows that type of culture and what that
looks like when you talk about the eye rolls and
stuff like, That but when you talk about like the
culture that we've been building and that the foundation that we,
have you, know over the last three years that he's been,
here that's not the type of guys that we, have you,
know and you're a guy you coming in here eye,
rolling you, know it's day one and trading cant, like

(36:41):
what are we? Doing so there's gonna be a long
year for. You you probably won't make it. Out so
there's definitely something that you buy into and believe. Wholeheartedly
AND i think every day you have to go work
to get. That you, know you talk about all these
goals and, stuff but at the end of the, day
you got to put one foot in front of the
other and actually do the.

Speaker 6 (36:59):
Work and that's the part that nobody actually likes to.

Speaker 8 (37:01):
Do everybody would love to play in THE, nfl but
nobody would love to come to training camp for a
Whole so, yeah.

Speaker 7 (37:06):
And speaking of doing the, WORK i mean you had
a great day defensively. Today De miko praised the signal,
callers which obviously would include you, yesterday for how clean
and efficiency operation. Was what goes into that efficiency for
you from your perspective as a middle of the field
handling everything on the, defense just.

Speaker 8 (37:22):
Being, loud, concise you, know, clear kind of keeping everybody
composed and, calm just being. DECISIVE i think a lot
of times there's different stuff that will. HAPPEN i Don't
i'm a human. BEING i don't do everything, right you,
know just like anybody in the. World so BUT i
think when you're decisive and you just make one call
and everybody's doing the same, thing as long as we're
on the same, page we can figure it. Out but

(37:42):
when you got guys who are unsure and you're, LIKE
i don't know IF i should make this check or,
not and then you half of them heard, it half
of them.

Speaker 6 (37:49):
Didn't now we're not on the same. Page now we.

Speaker 8 (37:51):
Don't have a defense when we're playing man and zone and, that,
like you, know we got to play one. Call so
my biggest thing is just making sure we're all on
the same page and everybody is like and.

Speaker 9 (38:01):
Compose you, know you've joined us here in the past
last year and everybody knows your story overcoming so, much
such an incredible story of, Perseverance and SO i want
to go back to last year because one thing that
bothered me the, most AND i want to get your
perspective BECAUSE i know it bothered, you is not just
everything that. Happened forget that you've talked about, that but
all of a, sudden you had to like prove people wrong,

(38:22):
Again Like i'm not that, guy you? Know was that
the frustrating, part not just what, happened but LIKE i
am a good dude that has done it the right
way and overcome a, lot and all of a, sudden
you had to do it, again you know WHAT i?

Speaker 8 (38:32):
Mean, YEAH i think that's the thing about this, league
and that's the thing about life is like you're constantly
trying to you got to show up every. Day AND
i think it's a pittome of THE nfl IS i
play with guys who at the top.

Speaker 6 (38:44):
Of the game and are no longer in the.

Speaker 8 (38:46):
LEAGUE i play with guys who you didn't even know their,
name and now they wanted to face of the. League
SO i think the thing for me when it came
to that, is you, KNOW i was frustrated BECAUSE i
know the type of man THAT i. Am BUT i also,
know you, Know muslim and talks about in A. Koran you,
know you don't have to speak on your own behalf
to defend. Yourself you, Know god knows your. Intentions he
knew my. Intentions so for anybody that, felt however they

(39:08):
feel or still might, feel that's between them And. GOD
i got figure out What. God BUT i know AND
i know the man THAT i. AM i know WHAT
i do on a daily, basis you, Know AND i
don't have to go out my way to prove that to.
Nobody as far as you know the character of WHO i.
Am if you've seen me and you around me and
you get to feel that energy for, me then that's

(39:28):
a blessing for. You and if you, don't then you,
KNOW i try to hopefully you hear from somebody who.
Does but at the end of the, day you, know
people are gonna make their opinions good or, bad and
that's just between them And.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
GOD i love that.

Speaker 7 (39:39):
Approach The miko espouse up and similar like the reiterated
the starter new every.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Year kind of.

Speaker 7 (39:43):
Approach how does that manifest itself for? You kind of
in this management space that you, are but also just
on the field from a player perspective on the defense
because y'all were really, good but starting a news with
it sounds weird from the outside looking.

Speaker 8 (39:54):
In, YEAH i, MEAN i tell the guys, this and
especially you know guys who had success the part you
know what you. Do let's say you put this much
work in and you got this. Result what you do
the next. Year the way THE nfl is this much
work not the same that you put, It but this
much might not even be enough to require what.

Speaker 6 (40:13):
You did last.

Speaker 8 (40:13):
Year it might take through the roof just to get
what you got last, year let alone if you're trying to.
Excel and that's the one Thing i've learned about the
league is you never figure it.

Speaker 6 (40:23):
Out you, know it's constantly.

Speaker 8 (40:24):
Evolving if you're constantly trying to push the envelope to
be the, best you gotta actually go outside of yourself
and outside of your comfort zone to find. Growth and
that's SOMETHING i even read in a book THAT i
was written today this, morning and they talked about. That
it's like there is growth when you're when you're uncomfortable
and you can't get comfortable otherwise now you're just gonna,

(40:45):
be you, know stagnant or taking a step.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Back, man it's always a pleasure talking to.

Speaker 9 (40:49):
You we, know we know that you have places to,
go but it's our pleasure and go get them with that,
defense and, SIR i appreciate.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
You.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
Guys we can talk again.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Soon that's here because he's out shire with the end
the loop Guys John lopez And Reggie, atatula and they'll
be back out at tomorrow at ten am On Sports
radio six' ten at, Training Camp john HARRIS and i
eight to. Ten am and you get an idea of
what disease is all about in. That interview what, a
man what? A linebacker really important part of this. Football
team another important Part Is. Henry tootoa he was the

(41:20):
leading tackler on this team last Year And john harris
had a great visit with him and asks him to
say some key things about some of his teammates in his.
Position group so we'll get, to that among other things
next Year On Texans. All access final rep here the
program Tonight On texans radio as we'll have camp again

(41:40):
eight to ten. Am tomorrow can't wait to be back
out there for day Three of texans.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
Training camp you can just feel.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
It coming two Weeks, From saturday Texans and Vikings.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
In.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Minnesota man two Weeks, from saturday three o'clock start for.
That one back at, the microphone back in. The Booth
TEXANS preseason tv On the Air With, Kevin Koogler eddie
Kalu With john Harris And shelby coppage on the Sideline
and ANDRE and i and the. Broadcast booth we'll have
to Live without johnny for, the preseason but we can.
Do it we'll all be, together anyway traveling and doing

(42:10):
these games for. You now henry toatoa big part of this,
football team led the squad in tackles. Last Year john
harris on the Field with henry after practice Number One.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Training camp twenty.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
Twenty Five john harris Alongside Linebacker. Henry, toata henry this
is your third training Camp. In houston what's the biggest
thing you have learned about Surviving in houston during? Training,
CAMP man, i think first, and foremost you gotta gotta
get use to. THE heat i think that Heat in houston's,
totally DIFFERENT but i think it's not. Necessarily survived but
find things that you can work on every, single day

(42:44):
one thing at a TIME that i can, work on
that the team can, work on and that's how we progress.
Throughout CAMP so i think that's the approach that we
have as. A team throughout your, college years you ran
a similar defense whether You're at Tennessee. Or alabama now
you've been in this defense for the. Third year are
things more. Wrote knowledge now you just run and go
because you know the defense and you're not thinking how
is it in that third year of kind of learning

(43:05):
the defense and knowing the defense and how does that?

Speaker 2 (43:06):
Help you it helps a lot having three years the under.

Speaker 10 (43:09):
My rope now it's about finding the little THINGS that
i can tweak here and there and taking it from
level one oh one TO one, o FOUR one o
five and taking my football now as. Past THERE so
i think that's the unique thing about being here for
three years and playing Under coach migo system Is that
i'm able to contique my game HIGHER than i EVER thought.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
I can every year is a. Different year we hear
that FROM every. Nfl TEAM every nfl coach player will
tell you the. Same thing what do you like about?
This DEFENSE and i know we're early, in it but
you guys have been working, the offseason you're not.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Back together what do you like about this defense or
a group of.

Speaker 10 (43:39):
CONFIDENT guys i think we got a whole bunch of
guys that love to, play ball, that's nasty, that's aggressive
and that wants to go out and. Hit somebody and
THAT'S why i love about our guys that we come
out every day with that nasty attitude.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
Every day what's the biggest focus.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
FOR you i obviously players want to you want to
be better, In everything but is there a particular focus
for you this year that you really want to work
on a training camp and have it down by?

Speaker 6 (43:59):
Week, one yeah OB leusly.

Speaker 10 (44:01):
I got a lot OF places i want to, work
on but, you know obviously my, block destruction getting on
and off blocks and making MORETTLE because i FEEL like
i make a lot more PLAYS when i get, off
blocks and then making more plays on the ball in the.
PASS game i feel LIKE if I make i could
get in certain positions and make a lot, more plays
whether it be tips.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
Or, Interceptions okay i'm gonna ask you about the other
side of the ball because a lot of people want
to know what the offense is like with the new offensive,
line coach new, offensive coordinator number of.

Speaker 2 (44:25):
New pieces what's that?

Speaker 3 (44:26):
Offense like you've faced them a little bit in, the
offseason but now you face them in. Training camp what
are your thoughts about the offense and kind of where?

Speaker 6 (44:32):
It, is oh the.

Speaker 10 (44:33):
Very unique they do a lot of a lot of,
good things a lot of things for our office to
make explosives be great in a. Run game our online works.
Really well we got a whole bunch of talented receivers and.
Running Backs our titans are great and a. Great QUARTERBACK
so i think all those pieces jammed together with a Great,
coach kayley will.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Be, great okay word association in the.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Linebacker room, all right you, got one maybe two words
to describe THE guy i throw at you in the. Linebacker, room,

Speaker 2 (45:15):

Speaker 4 (45:17):
Dog too but he. He's unique he's one of those.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
Those, unicorns okay you got new people in.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
The Room, Nick Neeman.

Speaker 10 (45:24):
Nick, Neeman oh nick, is special special because he's he's, very,
long lengthy he's fashion than, people think and he can.

Speaker 4 (45:32):
Make.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Plays Okay jake hanson been around for a.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
Little Bit, jake hanson that's the hard worker.

Speaker 6 (45:36):
Right there he's a. Hard worker he's gonna do the.

Speaker 10 (45:38):
Dirty work go, out there and puts it guy in.

Speaker 3 (45:40):
The, mouth okay Linebacker Coach, Billy, davis okay you don't
