Speaker 1 (00:17):
So let's get the Jets selection Sean Abraham coming out
for the two thousand draft class of the Jets with
the twenty twenty five Okay, with.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
The forty second pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the New York Jets select Mason Taylor, tight end LSU.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
You have it, Mason Taylor, the newest New York Jets
selected at number forty two overall, which means the Jets
have added a playmaker to the offensive side of the football.
And of course it happens to be the son of
Jason Taylor, who spent one season with the Jets and
is known as the Miami Dolphin.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Shout out to John Abraham.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
He looked tremendous delivering that selection. We were wondering when
Day two started if indeed the Jets would get their
second draft night underway with the selection of a tight end,
and they were patient. They stuck to their board and
they got Mason Taylor, the most productive tight end in

(01:31):
LSU history.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
And that's saying something.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
Well, John Abraham pretty well dressed.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Let's bring in Brian Baldinger, our good friend who is
always well dressed, and Baldy is somebody that brings it
every week, and he didn't shy away from bringing out
the bright colors on the draft preview.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
Now, Bald you.

Speaker 7 (01:50):
There he is.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
Oh, he's wearing the he's wearing the Jets. Ody, look
at him. Yo, you had a premonition today.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
I was watching nfone network that the second night got underway,
and Baldi said, yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
I think the Jets they got their tackling round one,
maybe they'll get their tight end.

Speaker 8 (02:08):
You had it, Baalby, Well, you know we talked about it,
right Ea and Ethan we talked about a couple of
weeks ago with Lejay, like are you going to take
the tackle first and tight end second? Or take the
tight end first in the tackle second? And they look,
they got the tackle they wanted. They had their choice,
all right, the second choice of a tackle in the draft.

Speaker 7 (02:28):
They took Memboo. That's fine. And I didn't know if.

Speaker 8 (02:33):
Mason Taylor would steal you around till pick number forty two,
because I know he was coveted. You mentioned the most
catches by any tight end in LSU history, one hundred
and twenty nine catches the last three years. He kind
of broke out this year once elite neighbors and Brian
Thomas Junior and some of those guys moved on. But
he is a true flex tight end. Rarely was he

(02:55):
ever attached to the tackle like a true ye tight end.
He was their flex and move tight end. Thought passes
from Nusbinner this year from Jayden Daniels, the Heisman Trophy
winner and the offensive Rookie of the Year two years
prior to that. But he's a big target. He's every
bit of six five and a little bit of change.
He's two hundred and fifty pounds. He runs into four sixes.

(03:17):
He runs well.

Speaker 7 (03:18):
Enough, but he's very smooth.

Speaker 8 (03:20):
He's got a great catch radius, and he's got salt
camp like. I don't think Justin Fields honestly could ask
for anything more from that position than what Mason Taylor
is going to provide.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
You know, when we were talking Baldi before on the
draft preview show, you said that, not that you're comparing
the production by any means, but you said that the
way that Mason Taylor kind of moves his body at
that frame reminds you of a guy like Travis Kelcey. Now,
obviously Travis Kelcey drafted into the third round, an incredible
career with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
But what about their size profiles.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
And just the way that they move gives should give
Jets fans confidence that Taylor can step in and compete
it immediately.

Speaker 8 (04:01):
Well, I mean, obviously, you know, nobody can predict the
predict the production that you know, Travis has had. But
I've watched a ton of Travis Kelcey in pregame warm
ups and games over the last ten years, and the
way that he runs, the size, you know, he's ever
been as big as Travis Kelcey, the way that Travis
kelce gets in and out of breaks. Now, Travis like

(04:24):
he's just an advanced student. Okay, where's the coverage? How
to beat the coverage He's got Mahomes, He's got a
lot of advantages, But just from the size and movement standpoint,
that's the comparison. I mean, nobody thought when Travis Kelcey
came out of Cincinnati that he would be what Travis
Kelcey has become.

Speaker 7 (04:42):
But there was movement about him.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
There was an immediate impact in production that he provided,
and then you know, he went off, you know, over
the last you know, since Mahomes has been in a quarterback.

Speaker 7 (04:53):
So, but they're very similar.

Speaker 8 (04:55):
Similar size, similar movements, similar type hands, similar reach. Just
you know, the just a radius, the catch radius that
he has, it shows up quite a bit. And uh,
I haven't seen him dropping many balls now. He looks
like his hands are really really good. I don't care
if it's contesting catches or sideline catches that are difficult

(05:16):
to come down with.

Speaker 7 (05:17):
He adjusted the ball really really well.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Baldy, you like the sension that you saw from a
Taylor throughout college. You mentioned playing with elite neighbors and Burns.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Of course that's wide receiver you.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
But this past season with the Bayou Bangles, fifty five
catches and he just he seemed like he just kept
on coming into his own Yeah.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
No, I mean he's you know, look he was there
three years.

Speaker 8 (05:40):
And you know, when you have elite neighbors and you
have Brian Thomas Junior, I mean you have two of
the most productive receivers in LSU history, which is wide
receiver you, so you know you're not going to be
the first.

Speaker 7 (05:51):
Option in a lot of routes.

Speaker 8 (05:52):
Now with elite neighbors moving on, Ryan Thomas going on,
he sort of ascended into that role where he played
a bigger role, and you know, they called his number
quite a bit.

Speaker 7 (06:02):
In fact, I put together a take.

Speaker 8 (06:04):
For you guys, and in it, it's a lot of
the type of routes that you get the ball to
tight end in space, drag slight type combinations, little flat routes,
deep over routes, things that where you can really feature
the tight end. You saw that a great deal more
this year than he had in the past years.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
And Mason Taylor, to your point, not only the ascension
you mentioned the drops earlier. He only had one drop
this past season, and that's coming on his most productive
season for the Bayou Bengals.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
He's third team SEC. He was a freshman all SEC.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I mean, this is a guy who stepped on the
campus Baldi and immediately starts. He thirty eight games he
caught at least one pass and thirty seven of them.
And when you take a look at what the Jets
have on their roster, like, what's the realistic in terms
of someone like Mason Taylor's impact from day one?

Speaker 8 (06:54):
I mean, if you just want to throw a number
out there, you know, Ethan I would say, you know,
fifty catches catches is certainly reasonable. There's gonna be a
lot of plays where you can just get him the football,
all right, because of his movement in his size and
its easy throws and easy completions for justin fields.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
I mean, that's that's the bare minimum.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
But you know, you have to recall we saw some
pictures of him and his dad today and I saw
his dad, his dad's coach of the defensive line down
at the University of Miami. Right now, Uh, he still
looks like he can play. He's been around this game
his entire life. It's just one of these prodigies, you know.
I mean, uh, you know Zach Thomas and uh, you
know Jason Taylor and the two of them are.

Speaker 7 (07:35):
All involved right here.

Speaker 8 (07:37):
He's been around the game down in Miami, around the league,
so he kind of I don't think anything's gonna be
too big for him.

Speaker 7 (07:44):
I think he's going to kind of know his role
and how to how to be a pro and understand
that he's a rookie, doesn't know everything. There's gonna be
a learning curve all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 8 (07:53):
But you know this, this program has turned out elite
athletes at skilled positions that have made immediate impacts. You
think about what Malik Nabors just did with you with
the Giants, what Odell did with the Giants, what Brian
Thomas just did with Jacksonville. Like, these guys expect to
come to the league and they don't expect this to
be a big learning curve. They expect that their talent

(08:16):
and the way that they've been trained and the offenses
they came from, that they should be able to impact
the league the day they step on the field. And
I feel the same way about that.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Where's he at right now? Is a blocker?

Speaker 5 (08:27):
How would you describe his game as far as when
he's asked to run block?

Speaker 7 (08:33):
Well, I mean I.

Speaker 8 (08:34):
Made another comparison to him to Zach Ertz, who's now
in his thirteenth year and still like he reminds you
of Zach Hertz, although he's way better than Zach after
the catch, but Zach's never been a blocker.

Speaker 7 (08:44):
They don't ask him to do it. They didn't ask
him to do a lot of blocking right now.

Speaker 8 (08:48):
But I do believe he's got the want to the
will to at least get you Stalemates. I don't expect
him to be Gronkowski at the point of attack. But
I don't think he's gonna I mean, he's gonna work
on it, and I believe he'll get better at it.
But he just wasn't asked to do it in their offense.
I mean they were basically get five receivers out every play.
They wasn't asked to, you know, block the end of

(09:10):
the line of scrims outside linebacker.

Speaker 7 (09:12):
The defense van. But I don't think that he can't
do it, just wasn't asked to do it.

Speaker 8 (09:16):
So it's something he's going to have to work at
to get better at, because I do think you have
to you have to be you have to at least
to be able to get stalemates to this business right now.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah, you know, Baldi, I'm curious from your perspectives when
you take a look at this Jets draft, right like
from armand Membu at seven to Mason Taylor at forty two, Look,
what do you think of the way these two first
picks have gone? Because if I feel like there are
a lot of Jets fans out there that couldn't have
scripted this any better for what they want.

Speaker 8 (09:48):
Well, I mean they had a glaring hole at right tackle,
so they went out and got you know, one of
the most athletic tackles we've seen. You know, I had
people that make a comp a legitimate com to Membu
to be in Jason Peters in Philadelphia, body size, explosion,
the ability to run out. Jason Peters is going to
Campton one day. I don't want to put him in

(10:10):
that category, but he's very, very talented. So now you're
kind of filling the offense line. There's been a lot
of resources, right high picks, three number one draft picks,
a big free agent, a second round pick on Tipman.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
All right, you've.

Speaker 8 (10:23):
Addressed that right now, it's about building the continuity and camaraderie.

Speaker 7 (10:28):
You need to play as one. They know they needed
to help out Justin fields.

Speaker 8 (10:33):
They needed a tight end that can work the middle
of the field to go with Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
There's still I think a little short on the talent
around Justin.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
But when you start thinking about fixing the offensive line,
adding a real tight end, a real promising tight end
with Derek, with what they have in the backfield, it's
a pretty good start. Like you said, they probably couldn't
have scripted this a whole better. It looks to me
like there's a real plan in place right here, from
justin fields to fixing the offensive line to adding the

(11:05):
tight end. And I'm sure they're far from finished Jet
on what kind of work they could still do for
this offense right now.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Yeah, with that being said, no surprise the Jets going
offense with each of their first two selections, Baldy, It
would be no surprise. I mean from this vantaged point
that the Jets went offense with their first three selections.
If they do stay there at seventy three, like you
talked about getting more pieces around justin fields, maybe their

(11:34):
next step is a receiver here coming up.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
Yeah, I agree with that.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
And before we get Baldi's opinion, Baldi, don't go anywhere,
let's actually hear from Mason Taylor with Caroline Hendershot.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Here with the.

Speaker 9 (11:48):
Newest New York Jet tight end, Mason Taylor. Mason, how
are you feeling finally getting drafted to the New York Jets.

Speaker 10 (11:56):
I'm fired up. It was exciting, you know, unreal feeling.
You know, I'm kind of still shocked about it and
all that stuff. So, you know, just excited to go
to New York and get his team all I can
give them and my effort and consistency every single day
and my hard work and just see how things play out.
But I'm definitely looking forward to getting up there and
meeting all the.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
Guys for sure.

Speaker 9 (12:16):
What were some of your conversations like with Darren Mougi,
the GM and head coach Aaron Glenn in the pre
draft process. Did they give you any inclination that they
were going to draft you?

Speaker 7 (12:27):
No, really, I talked to.

Speaker 10 (12:29):
Them at the combine. We had a formal interview. I
feel like I try to display myself the best I
can in our formal interview, you know, try to impress them,
and I think I did that pretty well. I try
to get on the board and you know, answer all
the questions right to my best ability. So did that
and met them. I mean they are there are great
people to be around. And you know, talking to coach
blasco I'm at the combine, he was on there in

(12:51):
the field of workout, So that was definitely great.

Speaker 11 (12:53):
I'm getting to, you know.

Speaker 10 (12:54):
Talk to the guys. It was definitely a great experience.

Speaker 9 (12:57):
Your whole life has been filled with football, with your
dad in the NFL, your uncle in the NFL. What
does it mean to you to be able to get
to the NFL level and to be able to leave
your mark. What do you think that will look like?

Speaker 10 (13:11):
Oh, it's amazing opportunity for me. I mean seeing my
dad's hard work and my uncles and just wanting to
be like them, you know, tracing in their footsteps and
you know, knowing that there's no shortcuts. It's all hard work,
and you know you're doing that every single day and
wanting to be like them, and you know, pushing yourself
to be the best tight end you could be and
definitely being a great teammate is you know, the top

(13:31):
priority as well. I'm doing those things. You know, everything
will come into fruition. You know, the achievements of Super Bowls,
the Pro Bowls, all that stuff will come to fruition
if I just keep my head down and work hard
and give this program all I can give them.

Speaker 9 (13:45):
Now, I know your dad spent a lot of his
career with Miami, but he did spend a season with
the Jets. What did he tell you about the Jets?

Speaker 7 (13:52):
He loved it there, He loved it.

Speaker 10 (13:54):
I was I remember running around as a kid in
Central Park, me and my brother, my mom and my sister,
each other throwing each other around at Central Park. So
I remember living in New York for a little bit
and it was a great time. So I'm excited to
get over there and you know, as a twenty year
old twenty yard media getting up there and you know,
having fun.

Speaker 7 (14:11):
So it's definitely really exciting.

Speaker 9 (14:13):
If you could tell that little kid who was running
around in Central Park that it would be him one
day going to the NFL and that whole journey that
you've been on to get to this point, what do
you think you'd tell him?

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Keep working.

Speaker 10 (14:26):
Like I said, it's all hard work. There's no shortcuts
to this game and to the NFL. It's all hard work,
keeping your head down, staying humble and hungry every single day.
And you know, giving an opportunity like this, being earning
an opportunity like this, given all you can give to
a program into an organization.

Speaker 11 (14:43):
Awesome.

Speaker 9 (14:43):
Congratulations, Mason. We're excited to see you in New York
and enjoy the rest of your night.

Speaker 6 (15:10):
Us from across the coast.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
And right before we heard from Mason Taylor, e A said, well, Baldy,
maybe the Jets want to go pass catcher again at
pick number seventy three, which is their next pick comes
in the third round. Some of the guys that are
available as we speak now, Jalen nol Iowa State, Jack Besh,
wide receiver out of TCU.

Speaker 6 (15:29):
And Besh is a guy Baldi that we saw down
in Mobile.

Speaker 11 (15:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (15:34):
No, but he's got you know, he's got size, He's
over six foot one, he's got production. I just think that,
you know, he's a special kid. And so I mean Jack,
whether it's Jack Besh right now or Isaac Tesla from Arkansas.
I mean there's some some real time we've seen like
Luther Burdon go off the board. You know, we've seen
some of the we've seen, uh, Jaylen Nowell.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
We're still out there.

Speaker 8 (15:57):
I think some of these it's a receiver class from
the standpoint Ethan that there wasn't top end. The top
end guys left, you know, the Matthew Goldlins and you
know Ted mcmill they left early. But I just thought
there was a lot of depth that you could find
the second and third round, like Besh, you know, like Tesla.
I mean, I think there's still receivers out there that

(16:19):
can make an impact. Tesla's got tremendous size and speed,
and so you're looking for a guy like that who's
literally you know, it's almost six foot four, two hundred
and fifteen pounds.

Speaker 7 (16:30):
It runs into four to fours. There's not a lot
of those guys that are left in this draft right now.

Speaker 5 (16:36):
BALI, how much credit would you give Darren Mugi and
Aaron Glenn Right now, it's early, it's their first draft,
but just the way they'd navigated through things here, these
are two very important picks.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
First round, second round, well they are, you know, and you.

Speaker 8 (16:53):
Know they don't want to be picking where they're picking.
They want to be picking the top ten next year.
So I feel like with the first two picks, they've
got two starters, two Day one stars for him, and.

Speaker 7 (17:04):
That's what you want.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
You know, you're picking up the top ten. You've got
the seventh pick, you've got the forty second pick. Go
get two starters in a position of need and a production.
So you get Membu who blew up the combine. We
all saw him in Indianapolis. We all saw what he
did running that four nine forty at his size and
some of the things.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
And how he tested.

Speaker 8 (17:22):
Go back, you watch the take and shows up and
then you go get a guy that I think has
a chance to be a really good player. I thought
he was the number three tight end. He is the
number three tight end off the board. Probably went where
he needed to go at the top the second round.
I think they're off to a great start. I mean,
you get two picks, and maybe you get two starters
where there isn't a big incubation period to get them

(17:43):
on the field. And then if you can find a
third starter here with the next pick or the fourth
round whatever, I mean, that would be that'd be a
boondogwar thing for Jet fans right now.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Yeah, we'll see what happens with Chakes out in a
couple hours here, Baldy, we've talked enough about Mason Taylor.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
Let's dive into the film room.

Speaker 11 (18:08):
There all over Jolly you will love.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Jets fans celebrate the newest members of the Green and
White with our latest sweepstakes text Draft Day to two six, one,
five four to be entered for a chance to win
a Jets Draft merch pack featuring a jersey autograph by
a member of the twenty twenty five draft class.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
Maybe it's Mason Taylor, maybe.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
It's armand Membu to be determined, terms do apply, And look,
we've talked.

Speaker 6 (20:59):
A lot about Mason of the number forty two overall selection.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
We had Brian Baldinger break it down beautifully. Baldi said,
reminds them a little bit of Zach Ertz, which is
what Daniel Jeremiah said, reminds him a little bit of
Travis Kelcey, as he told us on the draft preview.
That's some high praise, but perhaps no higher praise than
what Nick Saban said on air today.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
This is from Field Yates.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
He said not landing new Jets tight end Mason Taylor
was the biggest recruiting mistake we ever made during his
time at Alabama. This guy is an outstanding player. That's
pretty big praise from an all time coach.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
SOH should we go back to what was the twenty
twenty two there was an epic game between Alabama and
LSU and it came down to a two point conversion.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
The Tigers elected.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
To go for it, and Jane Daniels, who just had
an outstanding rookie year with the Washington Commanders, found Mason
Taylor for two thirty two thirty one LSU victory.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
And that is again Mason Taylor stepping in for an
LSU team as a true freshman freshman All SEC honors.
He had four hundred and fourteen yards and three touchdowns
that year on thirty eight receptions. But look, we said
it earlier that his dad, Jason Taylor, known as a
Miami Dolphin. Okay, he was also a New York Jet,
which means that Mason Taylor. There is photographic evidence we

(22:21):
have it of Mason Taylor, supposedly of him in a
Jets uniform or not a uniform, just Jets gear and
there's Jason in the background. Zach Rosenblatt says found an
old photo of Jason Taylor and Mason Taylor from back
in the day in New York City and which is
by the way, Mason Taylor said that's where they lived
when Jason was here, was in Manhattan.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
How cool is that?

Speaker 5 (22:43):
And then during the interview with Caroline, Mason Taylor was
talking about remembering playing in Central Park.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Well, he's coming to the Jets. He's back on Broadway.

Speaker 6 (22:55):
That is so cool.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Listen.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
Never see Mason like running around here in twenty ten.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Probably did, Probably did, but I don't remember. You got
a lot of young guns around there at that point.
But I mean, no surprise what Baldy was saying about
Jason Taylor. That guy was always an impeccable shape. And
I'm sure he could give you a couple pass rushes
if AG needs some next year.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
And well, and isn't Jason Taylor the defensive line coach
for the U right now?

Speaker 6 (23:20):
I know that's right, and so and how about those
blood lines? Also? Oh yeah, Zach Thomas.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
K Thomas is his uncle Mason Taylor.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Yeah, so there's a lot of football blood that runs
through the Mason Taylor, Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas.

Speaker 5 (23:33):
And Jason Taylor is going to be wearing a lot
of green and white at Met Life next year.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
But that won't be weird though, because he did it
for a year so that's that's right.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Yeah, So let's you know, shape this forward a little
bit now because we're not going to go live after
the third round pick, which has picked number seventy three.
If the Jets in fact do stay there, they always
moved down, they could move up. But when you look
at where the Jets are positionally, like who's still on
the board, I'm looking at who's been drafted since we've
been on this show. Trey Harris, the receiver out of Ole,

(24:01):
miss was just selected by the Los Angeles Chargers. Not
that the Jets were in the market for another tight
end necessarily, but for those housekeeping Elijah Arroyo selected by
the Seattle Seahawks at pick number fifty. So again, Jack
Besh available, Jalen Noel available like we've mentioned, but a
position on the defensive side of the ball, and a

(24:22):
player that we talked about before the draft started, who's
still available. That's Darius Alexander, the Toledo d tackle.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
I think we got Jason Taylor, Is that true? That's
what we're hearing.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Jason Taylor in the house here on Jets overtime isented
by Duncan. Jason looks a little frozen even though I
know it's in I heard him it's in Florida, so
he can't be frozen.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
I mean the weather is great down there, and he's
on the move.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Look at that, Jason, What is this night like for you?
Your son being drafted by the Jets?

Speaker 11 (25:00):
Man?

Speaker 12 (25:00):
First of all, it's crazy, it's it's it's it is
the dream come true from my from my son to
play in the NFL and kind of walking the shoes
that I was so blessed to walk in. And then
you know, to go to a franchise that I played
for and uh, go to the greatest city on the planet.
I mean, there's there's so many This is going through

(25:21):
me right now, but it's uh, it's a real.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
It's a real.

Speaker 12 (25:24):
Everyone's at that party and having a good time and
I'm out here trying to wrap my head around it
and figure out what the hell just happened.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
Can you paint us a picture like how many people
are at the establishment right now and what's going on
inside of what was the moment like when Mason got drafted.

Speaker 12 (25:41):
There's probably a hundred I don't know, probably one hundred
hundred and fifty people here.

Speaker 11 (25:46):
Ghose friends, family, Uh, people that he's brought.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
I think he dropped off.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
But it's gotta be just a nice cameo, incredible moment
down in South Florida right now.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Yeah, and it's got to be extra cool because with
Jason Taylor, you I would imagine that you don't want
to put pressure on your son to go down the
football path, and you know, for Mason Taylor, Okay, Jason's back,
He's back.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
There is.

Speaker 11 (26:17):
Hey, Jason, one thing, we don't have a great WiFi.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
We were just talking, Yeah, go for it.

Speaker 12 (26:23):
People here and friends, family, some former teammates from high
school and college. He's got the LSU Tinian coach and
LSU came down. We're hanging out and uh, obviously he's
sitting around for first forty five minutes waiting for that pick,
waiting for the phone call was stressful. I've been crying
since about four o'clock this afternoon. But it's all it's

(26:44):
all good tears.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
We just saw a photo of you and young Mason
when you were here with the Jets. And he also
talked about early in the show during an interview about
the times that you guys spent in the city in
a central park looking back at that and now going
through the emotions this night, can you explain that.

Speaker 11 (27:09):
No, there's nothing like it.

Speaker 12 (27:10):
I mean, we we it's you know, that year we
spent in New York was amazing and uh, you know
the late nights getting up out of the apartment there
on Broadway and walking to Magnolia Bakery. We went there
so much as wild and so fat in some of
those Jets pictures, painting so much weight.

Speaker 11 (27:25):
From that, you know, I forget all the restaurant.

Speaker 12 (27:29):
I mean there were so many places, you know how
it is in the city, and so many places to
eat and and uh, all times of night. So it
was you know, walking to Central Park during the day
and spent spending time together in a different.

Speaker 11 (27:39):
Environment than what we had here in Miami.

Speaker 12 (27:41):
It was those those memories are our fours in our
memory forever, and it's you know, my kids were coming
at the age where they were really understanding what was
going on, what we were doing, taking.

Speaker 11 (27:52):
Into fanfare and the excitement.

Speaker 12 (27:53):
Of the city and the excitement behind the Jets when
we were winning and going to the ANC Championship game.
So it was it was a special special time and
they always talk about it. They still do. My son,
Isaiah and Mason always talk about those walks. I'd get
them up at nine ten o'clock at night. We walked
to Magnolia Bakery and we buy a dozen cupcakes and whatever.
We'd eat two and they would always want to give

(28:16):
cupcakes or whatever we had to to some of the
homeless people staying there, sitting around on the streets, so
we would all they found great.

Speaker 11 (28:23):
Joy and satisfaction of doing that. So it was a
it was a lesson and a treat at the same time.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Well, Jason, we appreciate your time. We appreciate you battling
through the Wi Fi. We'll see up here in Florida
Parks soon. We'll make sure to get some Magnolia cupcakes
right for when you.

Speaker 11 (28:37):
Admit I'm fifty, I can't do that.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
Hey, you still look great. I know you got a
couple pass rushes in you. Congratulations and much love to
you guys.

Speaker 11 (28:46):
I got one left. That's it.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
We'll see you as soon, Jason. Enjoy then, I appreciate it.
Thank you very much. And also just a quick side
know Mason Taylor twenty years old. He's turning twenty one
in a couple of weeks. This is a pretty good
early celebration.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Man, this is something else.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
I got goosebumps just thinking about, you know, these guys,
how far they've come.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
And now look at here he is.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
Jason Taylor's son is going to be in New York
Jet and congratulations not only to the Taylor family, but
the Mumboo family who was here at one Jets Drive
today celebrating her son.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Look and we'll see what happens coming up in round
three whenever the Jets next pick. The Jets also have
Day three of the NFL Draft. We will not be
live tomorrow, but then next week on Saturday CBS, there
is our draft review. Make sure to check out New
York Jets dot com throughout not only this weekend, but
throughout the week for all the content. Again, Mason Taylor
the forty second overall pick for the New York Jets,

(29:44):
and we'll see you later
