them out the smooth Yeah, I know the same. You
feel the same way too.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
You play that plays all right, man. So you got
to let y'all know what we got on deck for
this week's show. We're gonna first and foremost recap our
big dub on Carolina Panthers. We're previewing our matchup against
the Bears and talking about that top five defense. Were
gonna talk about our welcome to the NFL moments for
(01:03):
each one of us.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
We got Kwe Martin joined us later in the show.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Big time.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
First fellas, We're gonna start this off a little bit different.
Instead of doing dubbs of the week, We're gonna go
to some highlights for sure from our game against the
Carolina got us.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
All right, let's get this thing cracking.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Let it rowd here in Northwest Stadium thirty nine at
the twenty five yard line. Sanders to the le adult
and free works are coming.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Off the edge.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Turns it O what edity?
Speaker 5 (01:28):
Hey guys stretching out the sunshine thirty twenty ten.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Fine touch down, touch down, wash it gud.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
I'm believing alone.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I believe it though, indeed, and that was Dante Faller.
Speaker 7 (01:44):
Your pressure, your ability to make that catch only interception,
Oh my goodness, a dem I'm till d'ante followed Mary
five little running back because it's just south early dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
After that, he's off to the racist talking about getting
the party started.
Speaker 8 (01:58):
This is little pressure and Dante Folly running back back,
moves man. He looked good running out ball man athlete.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Hey what do he hit it with that?
Speaker 5 (02:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (02:10):
I said, oh, he had running back in his life,
and he got in the background and he confired that
way to get that thing started.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
All right, let's let's see what we got here.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Oh, first kick tech Carolina Koker, who just made that catch,
goes and motion covered behind Dalton. Play after a little
throw again on first down, where do we sten a
deal of that pick off?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
A manual?
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Forbes cutting back and down kids himself up at the
thirty six short lines. There are two flags down, but
as it's downs down washing to that's two picks.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
A little bit of pressure. Oh no, this play action
pass blue. What you see here?
Speaker 8 (02:41):
I just see a guy making him play. We knew
Forbes coming out of college he was a ball hoark.
It was good to see him get that pick to
build his confidence up. Hey, man just jumped around. I
mean Andy Dalton coming into the game, had through two
interceptions week before.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Now look that that's how you make him play.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Two weeks four picks.
Speaker 8 (02:57):
That's right, hey, And I love I love how his
teammates selling brazen man boards when he got that interception.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
That's a guy.
Speaker 8 (03:02):
I feel good. They're ready for his moment. He hadn't
played in the couple games in the last four games.
But and we talk about confidence all the time. We
talked about when Terry had that big catch. But now
on the defense side of the ball too, you get
an interception, man, it can start to get contained. You
might end up getting more, making more and more play.
So I'm excited about that. Talk about big catches, big
catch for you. Right here, this is we're gonna go
(03:23):
zach Ertz with a twelve yard reception for Marcus Marioda.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Walking has gotta rush twenty five seconds on the clock.
They're not using their bundle time out here. Let's see
if they clock it or they run a play. You
know they're gonna run a play. Mariota is in the gun,
echo to his right, quick snap looking to his right.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Now moving to his right, only grows door the other
coming zach Ertz. Touchdown, touchdown, walk your gun.
Speaker 7 (03:48):
How about Dorcas that right down with two captors and
live it up. That best sock guard, said Marcus Mariolder
clutch outside the pockets here, just his buck.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I love this tier when you see him out of
the pocket, what do you think I mean?
Speaker 6 (04:07):
The first thing that zach saw is what I saw
from sitting in my seat, is he saw a guy
break the pocket to this right, and he said, hey,
I'm going to opposite way. Let me bend this thing
around because guess what if I get a chance to
get outside this defender, it's gonna be green grass.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
And that's just what he saw.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
He saw enough green grass to say, let me throw
it in this hole. He threw it the highest point too,
only from where from where I was at, only Zach
can get to that ball in the timing fashion.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
So that was a great past.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Best quarterbacks, best friend in the guy.
Speaker 8 (04:36):
And what I like though, this is kind of like
just too veterans doing this ad libit hall schedule play
back football, yeah, basketball football, and it's.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Not They hadn't played in games together. So for them
to be at it in this situation like that to
make that play.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
That's what you need for Zach Ertz.
Speaker 6 (04:51):
Don't get me wrong, he been making plays with a
young Jaden Dames. But when you get a savvy veteran
quarterback in the game that knows where his setting next
to that man, I mean, I'm pretty sure if we
ever had to see Marioda in the game.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Again, you.
Speaker 8 (05:06):
Blue, we got your favorite guy coming up with this
next highlight. Man, you got Frankie Louisville.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Dalton's in the garden puppered and Sanders in the backfield
flight side by side.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
They're looking back. The crowd is loud today here at home.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Here's a stat walking the Briggs four pressure off the edge,
Frankie luv former Panthers.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Got him for a shirt.
Speaker 7 (05:26):
Think of the twelve yard line, Frankie lougu You don't
think he had this game circle that he was high
there noody to play against his former team.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Frankie Lugal.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
We love when he's coming this time, just coming around
the edge, beating there.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
They're right tackles.
Speaker 8 (05:41):
Frankie Louvier. Man, he has been What a what a
blessing and what a gift. Frankie Louvi gets his former team. Well,
you knew it meant something to him because you know,
obviously Carolina, he talked about it on the week before
on our show that you know going home. Yeah, man,
this dude is a terror. You talk about physical at
the point of attack London. We talked about two weeks
ago about just the way he can rush in his
(06:03):
moves and just he just just more than just an
I don't know how you describe what he plays.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
He's a you know, he can rush it rob he
can do Everything's a hybrid.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
He can do it all.
Speaker 8 (06:13):
Like you said, Tasmanian devil. And you know what this
what I love about this this night we've seen him
rush against running backs and beat them. But this was
him rushing on the edge against right to tackle International
Football League and him beating him with speed around the
corner and using the move and then getting getting around
that corner and being able to make this sack. I
(06:34):
don't know how many times I've seen guys beat mister sag.
They're not able to turn and get get back up
into that the sack when the quarterback is is trying
to step up in the pocket.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
All right, energy, just contage, just man, really a highlight
without a Terry highlight.
Speaker 8 (06:51):
Man.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
He got marioda to Terry mccorner for twenty five yards.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Third and seven at the forty five Luke McCaffrey emotions
snap the Mariota hit, there's break four, almost no pressure.
He's standing straight off, gets away from a little bit
of pressure, throes back across his body, and it's just
a tremendous play across the field to Terry McLaurin down
near the Carolina thirty yard line. Mariota had all day
(07:17):
stepped up and waited for mccaury to come all the
way across the field.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah, this is the situation.
Speaker 8 (07:23):
Another kind of scrambled jill off target type of play
where you on cover as a receiver, and that time
Terry did a great job on covering, making himself available
love him orchestrating a gat ad lib tadda.
Speaker 6 (07:37):
One of the things that stood out big about Terry
this week. Man, he just shows you that he can
be that scrappy guy to him in times of need, man,
And that's what I love about his game. It's nothing
that Terry hasn't showed us that he can do. So man,
this was great just to see Mariota find him time
at the time. You know, every time Terry, I mean
Marioda broke the pocket, Terry was fighting and clawing, making
sure that he saw him, and Mariota saw him for
(07:57):
a few times. And I think Terry finished the game
with like aty plus yards, so.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Alms on on a pretty good corner.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
You know.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
J C.
Speaker 8 (08:05):
Horng this, I was really intrigued to see that matchup.
But uh, you know, Terry just kept working, man, when
the quarterback got out of the pocket, and you need
that sometimes when you're playing a good defender, you got
to keep working at some guys. What I liked on
the on that play is when Marioda broke up in
the pocket and a young Marioda may have taken off
side to run that ball, keeps his eyes down the field,
(08:28):
not padding it.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Hit Terry.
Speaker 8 (08:30):
We're gonna finish these highlights with a being sent a
touchdown and catch.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
They have run almost six minutes off the clock. You're
on the opening drive of the second half looking to
add to a twenty seven and nothing lead. They got
one fifty seven on the ground so far on the day.
Second and goal from the three pistol look. Sit it
urts at baits all to the left of Cornelius Lucas.
It's side hand off. No Mario to keeps growth dead.
(08:55):
Sit it touchdown, touchdown, washing.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Game in the first I'm the career for the rookie.
Speaker 7 (09:02):
This is the playoff. Feel like they've been setting up
for weeks. They've been putting Ben centered in motion a
lot of times. They've heard that ball off. This time
they go with the playoffs and passed and there was
nobody covering Ben centate in the in the flat.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
The rookie first first first catch in the NFL touchdown
is a touchdown? Man?
Speaker 8 (09:20):
Can you imagine that that it is a memory for
a lifetime, Your first catch in the NFL goes for
a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
I mean, you gotta love it, man.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
I think one of the things is that was specially
about this just knowing you know where he's been this season.
You know, a couple of games he got in there
had a penalty of two, you know, and you know
you expect it from a young guy, got jitters, trying
to get used to the game, trying to get acclimated
into everything, and then in some of them same same games,
he's just been great at blocking, doing his job, you
(09:49):
know what I'm saying. So just to see him be
rewarded now, man, it was greater. And you know what,
we got a chance to talk to him on game
day with our post Game Live show. So for all
you fans out there who don't check us out out
Postgame Live every game, me be Mitch and Brian Cope Jr.
Please check us out every game. But we got a
change to talk to him, man. He said, it felt fabulous, fantastic,
(10:11):
all the good words he said. It felt that good
for him because he was just one of those guys.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Man, I'm just doing my part. Whenever it comes, I'm
gonna be ready for you.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Talk about Marioda and the Redson with them tight.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
Ends and what it's my favorite time of the show
is time for Drive Time, presented by Eastern's Automotive Group.
Any Car Anyway, everyone since nineteen eighty eight. Now we
got to just you know, we just had a chance
talking to being sending about his welcome to the NFL moment.
Let's share with our audience, man, some of our welcome
(10:40):
to the NFL moments.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Let me start with you, Sean, what you got well?
For me?
Speaker 2 (10:44):
It was early in my career.
Speaker 8 (10:45):
First first, like the second game of my career in
nineteen ninety seven, I was playing against a guy named
Steve McNair man.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I never forget.
Speaker 8 (10:53):
It was in a Kinggong and you know that Titans
were pretty good at the time, and Steve mchead threw
it out there.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Man, I ran down, got that pig. I was just
so happy I ain't dropped the ball.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
I was so hot dropped the ball, you know, and
and I could have probably ran a little further, but
I ran out of bound, celebrated a little bit, and
I was just that first moment felt good and it
was kind of like my validation, like you belong in
the NFL man, So I.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
You know, I got the Jenners off after that.
Speaker 8 (11:19):
You know, as I think about my welcome to the
NFL moment, when I think about welcome to the NFL,
I'm thinking like a bad moment for me. So we're
We're in the preseason. Fourth game of the preseason. I'm
playing in Saint Louis. We're playing the Kansas City Chief.
They call it like the Battle of seventy and I'm
(11:40):
the nickel linebacker in this game going against the Chief starters.
They're going too many. They sent me on a blitz.
So I'm coming up in there and I ain't training
camp for the other guy. I've been running everybody over.
Speaker 9 (11:51):
Man.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
They got this full back Toty Richester. I know exactly
what it is.
Speaker 8 (12:00):
I was in the West. Everyone knows that running man
high by the running over man. He hunkeld Down called
it the SIXSS rise of blow. Never been hit this hard?
About what do you hit me? I was like, damn
if I could play this, Oh my god, that was
(12:23):
about welcome to the big time.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I was from here on that. I was ready for
anybody else after that.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
See Richardson was didn't he play in that game?
Speaker 6 (12:32):
When Sean hit him in O five he was the
fullback against He was the fullback for the Chargers and
five when we played.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
You're thinking, was that Lorenzo Neil?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
That that was.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
A t Richardson one of them guys, you know, first
get off the bus.
Speaker 8 (12:47):
He looked like when you said describe a football player,
that boy looked like a football player. He had muscles everywhere. Man,
And it was known on the Skyling report. Man, don't
go in there half step ad whatever they give me either,
they didn't put it on my scolaryport.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Oh I didn't. I didn't pay enough, paying no attention.
It was a preseason you.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Know, young bucks. Don't think you know, just running.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Over crazy thing. It could have been now that I
think about it.
Speaker 8 (13:12):
So I wasn't a starter that the Roma Fifer, who
was a starting linebacker head of me, he got injured
early in that game, so I had to go in
earlier sooner.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
So I wasn't playing at O. Gord against find out
that that's a lesson for all you young players.
Speaker 8 (13:31):
Pay attention to the sky regardless of who wasn't your
starter or not pay attention.
Speaker 6 (13:37):
Yeah, one of the things I think about when mine
welcome to the NFL. I'm definitely not talking about nothing negative.
So I'm gonna talk about a bright spot and something
positive in my career. It had to be my second season,
you know, my first year for those who know, my
first year, I tore my knee up before I even
got a chance to play. So that season was like
I didn't play. I didn't touch the field until like
(13:59):
week twelve. So I played the last four games. But
that wasn't sent time, That wasn't that wasen't me. I
was just he was back there. Yeah, So it had
to So my welcome to the NFL moment came my
second year. And I remember after getting a couple of
you know games here, and I remember we played London
the week one in Buffalo, we beat.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Y'all with Ip turning to ran back to kick you
know that and night.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
So I remember that game. But my welcome to the
NFL moment came later on that year. I had been
sitting there like, man, I've been playing when I'm getting
this paint, And we were at home against Kansas City Chiefs.
And I'm not sure if you remember this cornerback. He
was one of the biggest cornerbacks in the league. James
Hassety wont number forty two or number forty forty, James Hasty,
(14:42):
that's how you had say.
Speaker 8 (14:44):
Talking about forty four Eric Warfielder too young for James
and so so you.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
Know him, so bro, big old joke, and all I remember,
God sent me you gonna put hands on you. That's
how you're gonna slow you down the whole game. I'm
saying to myself that joke got something coming.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Boy, because I I ain't.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Man.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
We in the red zone and you know they don't
throw phase to guys my size. And I don't know
what Chad was feeling, but I round him up so
quick at the line. I was buying them and he
was already on like the ten yard line. Chad threw
it up and down. I scored my first touchdown.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
And I was I ain't know how to act.
Speaker 6 (15:19):
I remember dudes just telling me this dude here ain't
the dude to play play against.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
You know what I mean, He's gonna put hands on me.
He can run with me.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
He could do everything I could do in a big body.
So that was my welcome to the NFL moment. And
I tell you the truth, after that game, everything is like,
you know, it was a domino effect.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I ran a punt the first point back.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
The next week, I had my first hundred yards that
we got to that that came back and another punt back.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
It was just like we got the week for we got.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Got crazy confidence. This bills on it from a play man.
Man that's messed up. So you know that wasn't negative.
It actually to about.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
Yeah, so what about all you know, you know this
week the Bears. Ye, what is some of the memories
you guys have, you know, matching up against those guys.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Man, For me, it was you know Thursday night game seven.
Speaker 8 (16:12):
Yeah, that was that was a that was a big
one because I think that if I'm not mistaken, that
was the game that kind of kicked off our run.
It might have been a game that kicked off our run.
Callings Collins came in and I was banged up that week.
I think Smooth was banged up that week, and I
just remember going against I was just like, man, my
backs out.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
They got a dude over there named my back. My
back was hurting.
Speaker 8 (16:36):
But you know Thursday, you know was out, you know,
put my equipment up. I went and got it down,
told him. I was gonna play all right, but I
was nervous. I said, Man, don't let Devin Hester embarrass
So what you what you you gotta added to that
story is we played bad to bed the whole game.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
That is true. We've talked about that a couple of ours.
Speaker 8 (17:00):
Man.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
In that game that we went man every single play
we played. I will say this.
Speaker 8 (17:07):
We played three defensive calls tat seriously, yeah, two or
were mad calls and it was a Sam single they
were missing. So we bringing the Sam backers the fifth
and while they we mix it up and go wheel
single just as a change up, bring the wheelbacker as
it's changed up, and then covered two three defenses against we.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Had we had one more? We had one more? That
what was zero? With all that, Man said, I had
to pix that game against the bad so we want we.
Speaker 6 (17:36):
Weren't getting home with the blister cause we had to be.
We had to be blistered somebody.
Speaker 8 (17:39):
No, we wasn't getting hold because it was it was
a pressure, but it wasn't like it wasn't It wasn't
exotic or nothing.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
And I don't know about you.
Speaker 8 (17:49):
For quarterbacks, when you're playing man and man defense, you
all you obviously know where to go with the football
quicker as opposed to and we're playing zone and bringing pressure.
Now he's got a hold on the ball a little
bit longer. But hey, I know they're getting mad A man,
I'm getting mad a man. So I know I might
I might like this matchup.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
So I go here.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
I'm coming tight end down the field all day long
and as I So that was a high of memory.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
I got to get the Bears. I think about twenty
ten kind of in Chicago, and.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
When I when we first got there, somebody it was
like soggy, it was.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Kind of soft. Yeah, it was kind of soggy. Yeah,
it was it early late in the year. Was it
early in the year? Might have been in October, sokak,
maybe maybe later in the year. So they're driving, they're up,
get on the in the rid zone.
Speaker 8 (18:40):
They about on the one yard line, pay maybe even
a half yard line, going in for a touchdown. Jay
Cutler tries to quarterback, speaking to the into the end zone.
So I'm I'm as mike, Mike backer.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
You're thinking about either running back trying to go over
the top or quarterback trying to go over the top.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
So I time it catch him in there and I
hit the ball, punched the ball out of right, right, right,
and recovery. So I remember that play against against the Bears.
Speaker 6 (19:07):
I've had some good games against them, even dating back
to my Jet years. I remember one of my best
games as a young pup as a Jet. We went
to Chicago. At that time, they was playing in a
different stadium. It was like a almost like a high
school stadium, a stands, they had traver, they had the
metal stands, and like we was dressing up.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
I'm like, bro, this is not the NFL.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
But it was windiest crap that day and I had
a game of my life.
Speaker 6 (19:35):
But I think as a Redskin that twenty ten was
special for me. We were just joking about it. I
told you I was two hundred and ten pounds. Don't
tell them about it that I was. I was Larry
Holmes flabby and sick, and I mean it was just
crazy because it was that year, two thousand and nine
off season, which you know after the two thousand and
(19:56):
nine season, that off season, twenty ten had a knee
Surger had my my last knee surgeon, my third and
final knee surgery, and I didn't practice the whole year,
I mean with a whole off season with the team
training camp. I rolled in that thing and like it's
what you got, you know what I mean, and hit
the ground running, you know what I mean. I had
a great season that year. That was that was the
first year that the Shannon Hanson was here, you know, Mike,
(20:18):
I just got here and stuff and so still when
I then had a phenomenal season or that.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Was against Peanut too, that was my favot ball.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
That was my first season catching ninety plus passes too.
I think I was third or at two ten. At
two tens. So that's why I always say, you know,
I joke around when amongst us about.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
For a context standpoint, they was nine ten.
Speaker 6 (20:40):
Let the viewers know what you typically played, and one
was the most I had played that at that point
that up to that that year, I hadn't been I
hadn't weighed more than one ninety five. So that was
that was carrying a couple of people on my back.
Yeah you know, but yeah, we went up there and
played you know, Peanut and then had they had.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
A lot that Mike Brown was there was Yeah, had
the secondary that man Me.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
And McNabb hit the ground rolling.
Speaker 6 (21:07):
I think I'm not sure if I had one hundred
yards that game, but I know I had to touchdown.
I remember just the battle itself with Peanut. He's one
of those guys that you always got to be aware of.
We got the ball because he's punching that thing out
the damn name but damn punch out punch. So but
that game stopped to me too, man. I think another
one stood out when we played. I'm not sure that
was the same game with that the same game that
(21:28):
the Hall had the four picks.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Oh yeah, and Jay Cutler was talking crazy game, So
what are you talking about?
Speaker 6 (21:34):
Yes, So it was a lot went on in that game,
you know what I mean. A lot of us stood
up big and played them well up there man.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
The fact he dude threw four interceptions.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
And ran one back right, ye had one for six.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Gets in this press conference and says he would do
it all the same.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Come on, Jake, come on like that was I said,
nowhere out here, throwing this ball up to d Hall.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
Every he done took two of them from you. Gonna
keep throwing at them. But yeah, them some good memories, man.
I think one of the things about you know this game.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
When you play Chicago, you know, you always hear about
their defense.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
And yeah, it's crazy how those years removed from when
we played Air Loc and all those guys, Briggs, you know, Peanut,
and I forgot the guy who played safety.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
He was the coach over here. I believe.
Speaker 6 (22:20):
I think he was on that team too. I believe
he was the safety on that team. I'm not mistaken.
And then now we're in twenty twenty four and we're
getting ready to face the defense and defense, you know
what I mean. So that's one of the things you
like about certain teams, that is that's their makeup, you
know what, that's no matter who the coach is, this
is what they bring into we can.
Speaker 8 (22:39):
Think about them. Think about Pittsburgh still Is. You think
still Is gonna have a dominant defense. They're gonna have
some pass rushers at the outside lineback of position, the
Chicago Bears. Certain cities, certain teams, you're gonna have to
have a certain type of offense, certain type of defense,
whatever the case may be. I think that's important what
you're saying though, because Chicago, so you know, you're going
(23:01):
up in Cleveland, you know what it's like and me
playing in the Big ten of Ohio State, Like with
the weather up there, you gotta build your team around
the defense because because it's gonna be it's gonna be
some point in the season where you cannot throw.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
The ball, and especially up in Chicago, that win.
Speaker 6 (23:16):
I always wondered too, if you want to, you know,
take it a little deeper. When you look at the
collegiate level of play in those same areas, the midwell
midw we wanted why the game slowed down in those areas.
It makes sense it was colder, you know what I mean,
it was a different style of think about this.
Speaker 8 (23:34):
So going back to Ohio State, I know we're talking
pro football. What did Ohio State have to do to
kind of change their trajectory and try to really compete
on Florida boys, when Florida.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Got went to Florida got and what the Texas and
got to do?
Speaker 8 (23:50):
Yeah, Like, you know how, we're gonna have some We're
gonna have some old line, We're gonna d line linebackers,
running back, We're gonna have like, you know, big physical guys.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
But we had to go down to the South again, all.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
Right, fellas, that's the rapp We'll talk about our memories
against the Chicago Bears. When we come back, we'll be
talking about Caleb Wingiams. Also, we got our safety Swan Martin.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Let's flip the script now, man, let's talk.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Let's really talk about the Chicago Review, the matchup against
the Chicago Bears. Yeah, it's time for set to Tone,
presented by Johnson Kendall Johnson, the official insurance broker and
risk management partner of the Washington Commanders. Where our passion
is your protection. All right, fellas, it's time to really
get into this, dig into this matchup against the Chicago Bears.
(25:57):
You know the storyline. One party going to be obviously
Jaden versus Caleb, and at this time of filming, we
don't know who's going to be the quarterback. Jaden's going
to be able to play, so that's a storyline. But
another main storyline has to be top five offense and
we have going against the Bears top five defense.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yep, we're number one in.
Speaker 8 (26:19):
The National Football League and scoring the Bears number four
and points a lot on paper, this is the kind
of battle that you want to see. Yeah, and I
think you got to go start, like can we you know,
because I can't even wait to get to it. We
you know, looking at this this game, I think a
lot of people circled Caleb wins versus Jayden Daniels at
(26:39):
the start of the season because there was a lot
of talk going back and forth, especially who was better
right then, you know, Jayden Daniels. Caleb was always like
the clear number one, and Jayden kind of moved up late.
But now when you think about this matchup these two guys,
especially where Jaden has been playing over the whole year
(27:00):
and the way Kaylen came on over the last three
or four weeks, could these two guys be the future
of what the NFL quarterback looks like.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
I think, assuming both of them stay healthy, this is
gonna be the next decade where these two guys are
gonna be exactly.
Speaker 8 (27:18):
These two franchises will be battling exactly represent the NFC
in the Super Bowl, just based on if they continue
to progress it and play like they've played, you know
thus far.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
At this point in this season, I was looking at Jaden, well,
not Jayden. I was looking at Caleb his first couple
of games versus where he looks like these man's couple
of games.
Speaker 9 (27:40):
Man.
Speaker 8 (27:41):
What you see is a quarterback who's getting the ball
out of on time. The arm talent was never an issue.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Elite arm talent, elite ability to make plays, extend plays.
Sometimes that could be good or bad, because there's times
where he may get sacked for a fifteen yard loss
because he's trying to like that. But it seems like
he's playing a lot more on schedule. He's trusting and
letting his receivers, uh, you know, make plays for him,
(28:08):
going through his reads a lot quicker and for a
young guy, young quarterback, those are things you want to
be at a see because most of the times when
you're at a big time school, you have what you
call college open.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
But these guys are wide open.
Speaker 8 (28:20):
So yeah, but then you have to understand NFL open's
gonna be look look totally different different Jaden. You look
at him first game of the season against the Tama
Bay Buccaneers. There were guys who were NFL open, but
he didn't throw it because he's like, oh man, I'm
not sure, and he just took off. But now, yeah,
now you're seeing those same plays. He's throwing that football.
(28:42):
But Caleb Man and this offense, and he had some weapons,
those receivers to I'm gonna let you talk about the
receivers of Caroline.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
I mean the Chicago Bears have.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
I mean, no, they weapons Indeed, I think when you
think about it, I was going to chime in on
two and talk about just his performances, you know, the
past two weeks compared to the games before. You know,
I just watched the believe it was the London game
when they was up there playing against Jacksonville. And the
thing that stood up to me the most is just
when they brought pressure. Being that he's a young guy,
(29:12):
being at some of that stuff is still new to him,
they got a chance to get to him, you know
what I mean. They made him double clutch, they made
him tuk it, they made him try to do certain something,
something extra. So I was looking at that, and then
it was at times when that officer line protected him.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
That's when you're in trouble.
Speaker 6 (29:27):
That's when those guys you know, roam when to say
and you got your boy Adlan on the out side,
you got DJ Moore on the outside.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
You know Dj Moore, you know Allen.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
Both of those guys are d MV guys along with Caleb,
and you got Swift and you got Comet. They got
a squad of guys honestly at Yeah, it's crazy. I
met Keenan Allen super Bowl weekend in Miami in two thousand.
That was two thousand and twenty or nineteen, right before
the pandemic, and I went up to him at.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
A rebok We had a rebok, No, not rebok. Adida's
little the thing now.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
I went up to him, told him I was a
big fan of you know, being a guy that watched
him come up.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
And he was like, he said, bro, man, you and
Porters and Sean t y'all represent my crib.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
But I'm like, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
And he said, man, I've been watching you since I
was a jitlebug man from d C. I'm like, damn,
so get.
Speaker 8 (30:21):
You was watching watching Caleb when he got that protection. Yeah,
you from your receiver for what is something jump off?
Speaker 3 (30:28):
What is with time? He's Caleb?
Speaker 6 (30:30):
You know, with time he's Caleb. He's gonna sit back
there and wait for that guy to get open. And
when that guy wasn't open, he got a little wrestle
daz on him. You know, he's not He's not like
five when he running that ball, but he can. He
can get out there and get some yards. But what
I like the most about it is just the arm talent.
It showed that he can make all the throws, you
know what I mean. He was making all the I
mean from from the first couple of games. So now
(30:52):
that NFL open, he was trying them. He knew who
he had. Keenan Allen. You got to step on the
guy on back shoulder and I know, I know you're
gonna turn around and basketball. You know the guy there
and and uh you know body of the guy out
of there? Uh, you know the young kid Rome, he
was finding him.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
He's he's the He's a sleeper to me amongst those three.
Speaker 8 (31:13):
I'm pretty sure he's getting the least amount of attention,
getting at least amount of attention.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
But when you watch him closer.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
He was special coming out of special. He is really
the guy like he like.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
Don't get me wrong, d J. Moore is phenomenal.
Speaker 6 (31:24):
DJ Moore remind me of Jamar Chase all over again,
like he was Jamar Chase before. Jamar Chase just been
in a situation where it hasn't been the same very
physical runner, physical runner get once he got the ball
in his ams and running back. You know he has
that low you know sen gravit what he.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Did to us last year, but that was the whole Yeah, yeah,
I'll say this though real and blue. You can jump
in after this.
Speaker 8 (31:43):
But the thing that I noticed, and you may have
noticed it too, kind of Keenan Allen has always been
one of the best rock runners in the league, and
he steals skinny, tremendous separation even as he's gotten ore
in the league.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Keen.
Speaker 6 (31:57):
That reminded me of Keen, of McCardell, like bigger, bigger,
bigger anybody people don't realize, like six too. He got
the same kind of style of being open. And they
might not be straight fast, straight line, but bro, and
that's small and that's small little area. Then they'll get you.
They'll make you missing the phone question. And that's what
I've seen.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
He can.
Speaker 6 (32:15):
He can get in and out of those those option
routes like I saw all the players where they put
both of those guys on the same side him in
Rome with Doon and he run an option route in
Rome coming behind him so high low, they high low
on you, making sure, picked open guy. You know what
I mean, Guys jumping on Keenlan. I'm gonna let Keenan
have that all day. That's what he's gonna do. You
better watch that dude coming behind him. You see what
I'm saying. So you know, yeah, I think the world
(32:36):
of Keenan because I think he's been having one of
those careers that a lot of people you know, sleeping on.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Yeah, but go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 8 (32:44):
But so that was my thing coming into the season
about the two quarterbacks. And then you start talking about
the defense of the Bears been top five, and I'm like,
wait a minute, Like these guys are sound the defense
they get you know what scares me about the defense?
It's one thing to be good and you can you know,
(33:05):
I think they're fifth in the league and pass against
pass one hundred and eighty yards something like that. Yeah,
they're seventh against the passing yards, seventh, total yards fifth
and total yards.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
You know what scares me though, when the team can
get the ball.
Speaker 8 (33:19):
Yeah, there's one thing you can be style defense, but
this is another thing where you can create turnovers and
that's when you know, that's when the defense and usually
turnovers like one great communication in the back end or
pre snopright eg Sean were about to get this, you know,
we buzzed this or do this the two effort and
(33:40):
two effort because now everybody got to be around the ball.
And three you just got some guys who just have
confidence that want to do it. So I'm excited and
I feel that about our offense. We got to get
some confidence on our offense side of the ball. So
now it's just confidence your strength on strength.
Speaker 6 (33:56):
I just think one of the things that standing out
about that defense to me is regardless of how potent
they are, they give up what we do well too,
and that's the run game being there. They've been susceptible
to you know, to the run. And so when you
have a defense that you know that I can being,
they will a little bit there. Uh if we may
have to play our second guy.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
You know.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
That's that's something that I want to lean on the
way Cliff Kingsbury. You know, I guess you can say
draw up things when it comes to our run game,
finding those quick passes to be you know, I guess
you can say little runs here and there, you know,
take place for a run. That's what I love about
what we got Bingo, the extension of a run. That's
what I love about what we bring to the table
(34:37):
when you're facing a guy, you know, a defense like this,
because heck, it's not going to be the first time
we face the defense that was susceptible to the run.
I mean not susceptible to the run. That was hard
and hard on us in one of those faces, whether
it was run our pass, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
I think Baltimore is a huge test.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
Whether we wanted that to be a test or not,
we saw ourselves be able to do what we wanted
to do as long as we stay balanced with it. Now,
get me wrong, we was we was, We was down
a man, and that man was one of the men
that you don't want to do.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
That makes it makes a big difference, huge.
Speaker 8 (35:06):
Difference having to be robbing that that that game, just
his ability to run the ball. I look at when
you talk about the Bears and their defense and all
the all the different statistics and the measurables, and but
does it a lot of times you can have numbers
and they don't necessarily correlate to what you're seeing. Okay,
(35:26):
is the competition they're going against is it you know
this that another they're there.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
They deserve where they're ranked. And what I look at
is and how sound they're coached. You look at every level.
They have playmakers on every level. God, we're very familiar
with Mates Sweat, who we traded to the Bears, and
that's really he was the one that that kind of
turned the corner and got this Bears defense going in
the right direction. They got Sweat, they got two linebackers
(35:53):
to play their secondary, they got they got outstanding secondary guys.
But you don't see a lot of explosive play live
by them. They make you earn everything. The red zone defense,
they might give up some yards between the twenties when
they get when they get in that red zone, they're
one of the best in the league and the teams
in terms of keeping teams out of their end zone.
(36:14):
So you mentioned scheming things up. How can you scheme
up explosives against the Chicago Bears defense. One way you
can do that by being able to run the football
effectively with the counters and the misdirections and all the
things that we do at a high, high level. And
what does that do Now, all of a sudden, you
(36:35):
have to bring an eighth man in the box. You
have to have a safety commit to stopping that run.
And when you do that, now we get opportunity to
take some shots down the field. So it's paramount for
us to be able to run the ball at a
high clip, high volume of run place and then play
action pass runs that look the same and the pass
(36:58):
married to those run plays. That's how you get your
chunk plays in the passing guy.
Speaker 6 (37:01):
Yeah, and that's some of the things we went over
the other day on the command center. Men Logan was
going over a play where he's seen it before where
we got to that that run a lot different you know,
in other offenses, and but he brought with him from
San fran and it was just it was just unique.
It was it was special how basically you know, you know,
(37:22):
he had a guy in close and it was showing
boot and we got and we actually pitched it to
a run and ran it backside to the boot side.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
But everybody, it was crazy. I got to be able
to bring this play up.
Speaker 6 (37:32):
I'm probably ask Matty to kind of put it in
here because we actually went over that play. But it
just shows you that each guy here that we have
on his staff. They have a job, and that's why
the game looks the way it looks offensively, you know,
from what we've been seeing. We're sitting there saying ourselves,
Cliff is in his bag, But what about those other
guys we got from Philly and we got from San
(37:54):
fran that's here that has a significant role too, And
they bring in all their minds together. And that's why
I perform is and that's where our offenses where is
that well?
Speaker 8 (38:02):
But you know, and on the defense side, balls defensive guys.
I don't know if you notice, Tanne, we got we
got a little ego too, just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
You got a bigger.
Speaker 8 (38:21):
You know.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
And we.
Speaker 8 (38:23):
We paid attention when we said that, you know, our
offense going against good defense. Yeah, And I know the
guys in the locker room gotta be thinking Chicago's defense
is good, but we pretty good to We we've been
getting better.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
We've been getting better each week. And I know those
guys are pride.
Speaker 8 (38:38):
I mean, you know, Bobby has been on the top
number one defense, and Frankie Levou is playing out of
his mind, and Fowlers getting making some plays, and Forbes
and central like that. That's gonna affect our guys. Our
guys gonna have to say, you know what, let's show
out to Yeah, they gonna bring it.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
I'm glad you talked brought up the defense, but we
gotta talk about our defense. Talk about it even a
little bit more. You talk about pride for from a
defense standpoint. So going into that Carolina Panthers game, there
was talk a lot of talk in the media like, hey,
this could be a high scoring game because Carolina, they
were coming into the game being really effective of being
(39:17):
able to run the ball. Chub Behobbard was third in
the National Football League running the ball. Defensively, we hadn't
been running stopping a run. Well, we had gave up
some plays in the passing game against the Baltimore Ravens,
had some buzzs and miscommunications.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
So we hear all this stuff leading to this game.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
We're in that meat room and our coaches are challenging
us personally, we being challenged. Hell, we might be at
the grocery store somebody, some fan might be talking about
our defense.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
We don't even know. They don't even know that I
necessarily play for the team. So we hear all this.
Speaker 8 (39:50):
Stuff and what happened in that game against the Marolina Panthers.
They went, they set a tone and they smothered Chub
Hoobbard twelve k's for twenty seven yards in the first half. Yeah,
he was having two point one yards per carry right
the third league rush in the National football They couldn't
make a play.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
In the passing game.
Speaker 8 (40:12):
So because people were nervous because you know, a week
before the boy from the Ravens, hear no, not nothing,
the running by the little receiver.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 8 (40:25):
And then Johnson was you know the boy he was
very similar to that, so we were going to I
think even better. He made even I was thinking of
two so Jay Flowers, Jay Flowers's name, I was trying
to remember. But Johnson was like, I was a little
nervous about that matchup. So I was like, are they
gonna try to sell out for the run and try
to stop the you know, the receiver he could get off.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
So, man, you're right, London, they.
Speaker 6 (40:49):
Just that was just like I guess I think one
of the things that showed up week the week from
our defense.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
Rather they allows the team to run or not. They've
gotten better.
Speaker 6 (40:59):
They've got better. Yeah, not only just getting better, as
a whole. Whatever they showed you the week before that
was a throwing in the back side. They corrected it
the next hit.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Here's here's what I saw just from when I went
back and we watched them. When I went back and
watched the game against Baltimore again, in the passing game,
there was some miscommunication that we hadn't had during that
four game, you know, with the exception, well other than
that type of Bay game in terms of first game
(41:30):
of the season, we had some miscommunications. Guys running wide open,
so there was a miscommunications. But one other piece is
some of those runs that Derrick Henry had, we had
guys trying to do too much. Instead of standing in
there back during your gap, they're trying to make a play,
trying to do things like that. So that was something
(41:51):
that I know you're going to get to Derrick Henry,
but you still have to do your job. Just trust
the defense, trust everybody to be where they're supposed to be.
Or you feel you against Derek hen you sure you
got to do more than what you should do exactly.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Just do your job. Just do your job.
Speaker 8 (42:04):
So got back playing sound for the middle football, and
that's what happened. When you watched them against the Carolina Panthers,
guys exactly where they needed to be, where they needed
to be, doing where they needed to be, didn't miss
a beating. We were without Jonathan Allen and also doing
arm showing. So it's wasn't me or they look like
they played faster. They're getting faster. They played really fast
(42:26):
against Carolina. That's what I felt like, Well, what happens?
You could play fast when you know what you're about
to do.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Thinking, Yeah, they looked like they were playing fast, man,
So that that was good, all right man?
Speaker 1 (42:37):
So secondary is outstanding that game. De line was outstanding.

never tasted so good. You're listening to the Players Club
(44:14):
presented by Pepsi. Welcome back into the Players Club. As promised,
we got a special guest. We got Kawan Martin joining
us on the show. Kwan, we appreciate you joining us.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
Welcomeiate y'all for having me.
Speaker 6 (44:28):
It's your ice Cold Player, brought to you by Pepsi,
the official soft drink of the Washington Commanders Man.
Speaker 8 (44:34):
So last week we had one of your former college teammates.
Then current teammate Johnny Newton joined the show and he
mentioned after he got drafted, you were one of the
first people to call him.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
What was that moment like for you? Knowing that Johnny
would be joining you here in Washington.
Speaker 5 (44:51):
It was a pretty cool experience, man, just to have
him called me after he got drafted, man, just knowing
we was gonna be teammates again. So, like I said,
he always talked about past us of coverage go hand
in hand, and you know, he definitely want of those
guys who can affect the quarterback man. So it was
fun having him back.
Speaker 6 (45:08):
Speaking of a guy that you know from college. I
remember when I got traded here from New York, already
knowing that Clinton Porters was here, Sean Taylor was here.
I knew that we was going to be able to
read each other and just go out feet off each other.
What does that have been like so far? Just knowing
that Newton just got a chance to now, I guess
you could say, start right, John Allen going down. Have
(45:29):
that chemistry kind of been present yet as far as
you and him on the field.
Speaker 5 (45:33):
Yeah, man, it's uh, it's definitely been evident. Man, Just
you know the type of energy he played with.
Speaker 8 (45:39):
Man.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
Uh, sometimes we make it tackles together. Man. So just
having him running out of stack, Man and just having
that energy. He's just playing fast, man, just doing what
he was brought here to do.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
That's what us coming out of Illinois.
Speaker 8 (45:50):
Man, you seemed like your whole secretary with the Seattle Ta,
Tony Adams, the Jets.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
You here in Washington, Man, all you do is prepared.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
Man.
Speaker 8 (45:59):
Seemed like you guys stepped in day one with like
almost like just like pros veterans.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
You know what was it? What was going on in
Illinois or you know what caused that?
Speaker 8 (46:10):
Ah?
Speaker 5 (46:10):
Man, I just like definitely the coaches. You know, we
had coaches that you know, really pushed us. Man and
Weald just pushing each other. You know, we was always
on each other. Man, just not letting nobody slack off,
whether it was a drill, given a look, and you know,
just playing together man was we just had a good bond.
So just had that barn off the field. You know,
(46:32):
that's translates on the field a whole lot. So were
just able to go out there and play fast, play physical,
just play our game.
Speaker 6 (46:39):
You speaking about coaches, that, you know, kind of help you,
I guess you can say matured enough to go out
there and play the way you guys played in Illinois
last year we saw you as a rookie, and it
seemed like those last few games, when those last week
in a few weeks you showing up normally take guys
you know that's in your shoes a little longer to
kind of.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
You know, you know, get a grabs of everything.
Speaker 6 (47:02):
What helped you kind of turn that corner last year
and be able to come in this year being where
you're at now?
Speaker 5 (47:08):
For me, man, just like not playing as early, so
I just had some time to just sit back and
just watch the older guys man, just how they was
just handling different situations, calls, communication and things that just
really stuck out to me while watching film. And I
was just always telling myself, like how would I react
if I was in that situation. I'm just taking my thing,
(47:31):
taking myself through like the calls and everything like that.
So you know, when it was my time and I
was just able to go in there and play fast,
just do what I was brought here to do.
Speaker 3 (47:38):
And I have a look back, it's definitely shown.
Speaker 8 (47:41):
So now you talk about playing for a coach. Obviously
we got this been a coaching change. We got coach
Dan Quinnen.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Man, what was that like. Now you get a chance
to prove yourself to a whole new staff.
Speaker 8 (47:51):
You came in this rookie this year, going to your
second year, you gotta prove yourself to a whole new staff.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
Coach Quinn comes in, Man, what was that like?
Speaker 5 (47:58):
It was a It was fun. Man, It's been fun
so far. And really for him, he just I just
got on the phone with him. You know, he talked about,
you know, where I wanted to play in the defense,
and now you know, he told me I got an
opportunity to come out of compete and fight for the job.
And you know, I embraced the opportunity. So I just knew,
you know what kind of player I was. Just took that,
(48:19):
you know into the whole thing.
Speaker 6 (48:20):
Man.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
So you know, I just came out compete. I grind it,
and I got the opportunity.
Speaker 6 (48:26):
Each player we had a chance to sit down and
see you in shared a little sentiment about the difference
for some of the guys who've been here before and
some of the guys who knew here but they shared
the same thing.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
It's a brotherhood, right. Can you define what the brotherhood
is to you?
Speaker 5 (48:41):
Guys? Man, it's just everybody doing that job at one
time and just knowing we got each other back on
and off the field. And I tell him, dudes every day, man.
Speaker 2 (48:52):
Y'all, boys, just go out.
Speaker 5 (48:53):
I got y'all six man, Just go out, play hard,
you know, just know one back there and and I'm coming.
Speaker 8 (49:00):
It's crazy that you mentioned that. One of the things
that stood out to me was you coming out that
post and the tackles that you make. Man, from that
and guys who played defense don't understand how some of
the tackles you're making in space you weren't just coming
up making raptor you would make it damn outstandy football
(49:22):
plays and just being that that eraser like Okay, I
got y'all, Like, don't don't worry about it.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
I got y'all. That's what that's kind of the mentality
you have. See.
Speaker 5 (49:31):
I mean, like I said, I always just let them
do know, man, just play fast, just make a decision
and got you as wrong as right, man, I'm coming,
like you know what I'm saying, So just try to
let them dudes just play fast and just know like
and I'm sure it shows on film, like I can
go and make these call yes, So I'm sure they
confident in front of me and uh, just playing ball.
Speaker 6 (49:49):
What are some of the things, man, You know, I
spoke about the brotherhood, I mean I wanted to hear
a little more about it. What are some of the
things that you guys have because I knew when you know,
we all had our way of kind of bonding with
our guys. You know, I was a big boot Ray guy.
Take the guys to you know, Hooters on Thursday, used
to kind of you know, fellowship. What are some of
the things that you guys have done off the field
as either a core of of DB's or as a
(50:11):
defense you know, as a whole.
Speaker 5 (50:14):
Lately, man, as DBS, we try to do like Taco Tuesday.
So every Tuesday, man, we go to one of dB
cribs and making tacos and stuff like that. Man. So
you know, just trying to be able to bond and
you know, just get that connection off the field, on
on on and off the field really man. And we
do like breakfast club in the mornings where we just
(50:35):
come in eat food, just run through some tape just
as a group man, just trying to get us all
on the same page as door. You know how to start.
Speaker 2 (50:43):
So I love that, man. I love that man. I
love it. Man.
Speaker 8 (50:46):
I can't wait to see you continue to play kwan
As with all our guests, we end up asking them
to sign a football. So we're gonna ask you the
blessings with this uh with your autograph on this football, man,
and we appreciate you joining us on the Players Club.
