What happened when they don't do another bet out there?
Speaker 5 (01:02):
Just like George Pickett, I caught it. He said, we
got a bet on them making it all the way
said winning it. He didn't say winning he said he
said in the game. He said in the game, right
right right right, Champions, big dance man. He was what
(01:23):
he said. I playing I played with house, I play
with house money to break even.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Now I'm saying right now, you put your Nick and
SAMs dinner.
Speaker 5 (01:32):

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Jesse walk you in there.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
I didn't let them.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, he love, That's what he knows. He doesn't play
with your emotions.

He did. He did. What is that a prowerful? Hey?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Man didn't even say christ y'all looking good?
Speaker 5 (01:56):
That's what I said, man, like this look it was
a resilient game, like for them, the largest comeback in
SEC history.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
What you work on getting some better police force down.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
There that I play football now?

Now your school employed, You got your police officer out
here trying to touch what the young brothers out there.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
You better you better know your environment.
Speaker 7 (02:21):
Chat where I said, they probably still call you'all boy
down there. So wow from Jackie Cheryl. Wow, that came
from Jackie Shuryll.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:30):
And so I was actually talking to Hugh Green about it,
and so I was asking you how he got the
pit and so he was like, man, coach Cheryl came
and uh told me. He was like, yeah, you know
they're gonna call you boy down there?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
What what maybe? Yeah, maybe the timing of that was
just you know.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
It was wrong. I will tell you, like this coach
Jackie Sherroll one of the best coaches ever. He loves me,
I love him, and he will tell you exactly how
things are gonna go down there. If you messed up,
get up out of there. If you in there, you're right.
If you do everything that they need, these boosters, they
support you, so they call you boy. No, I ain't
never did Hey right like this, y'all viewers, y'all know
(03:10):
my track record. That ain't that ain't.
Speaker 7 (03:13):
And that wasn't that wasn't that wasn't hugoing m That
was actually going somewhere in Mississippi where you're from, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
But watching that man, that dude was so wrong for that.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
He definitely was wrong. I will say that. But I
want people, man, get your people, and then I don't know,
I don't know, I don't know him. Emotions are high,
you know, tempers are flayed.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
And stadium you all employed him.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Twelve man, twelve man man out here.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
You gotta have you gotta have you some emotional guys. Hey,
we got the dumb man. We still undefeated.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
So that if you ever see Michael Down around here,
former Cowboy defenses back, ask him to tell you the
story about former legendary defensive coordinator Gene Stallings and the
Cowboys who later on coach Alabama National Championship and his
first training camp with Everson Walls. So it's Black Sports
(04:20):
Hall of Fame, Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame, and
they just got up there. They were kind of roasting it,
and he says, Michaels, I got a story for you.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
It's called hey boy.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
Hey man. I bet everybody in the.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Rooms it was ever since first training camp with the Cowboys.
And there's a play and he gets beat and you know,
the receiver keeps going and he stops running and all
of a sudden, you hear.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Hey boy, you don't quit on the play.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
I know that.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
How did that go over?
Speaker 5 (05:04):
I was about to say, be an immediate dang the football.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
So that's what happened.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Everybody's ever from you know, Grambling, Dallas's own.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Undrafted free agent does the whole.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Thing, and so Downs it's like, oh yeah, we were like, oh, oh,
don't don't do it.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Now, don't do it?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
And Down says, yeah, back in the back in the
you know after after you know, back in the dorm,
everybody's getting cut, turned around the game to look and
you know, starting boy run over and and so yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
I'm about to say that.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
We all know Everython ended up taking the Dallas Cowboys
led the league in interceptions as a rookie, has a
resume that is worthy of the Hall of Fame. But yeah,
so if you ever see Michael Down's asp tating full story,
or when you see Everson.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Around here ever since walking around.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Hey tell me the hey boy story, thinking what your mind.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
He went through it?
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Mine all right, was like I know, you just didn't.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, but he stopped and turned around and started, you know, And.
Speaker 7 (06:26):
My dad has told me some wild stories about stuff
going on in Dallas when he first got here, and
it just wasn't with the team.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
He was the police out here. It was.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
It was dangerous back here in the seventies for you know,
for Brown brothers, brothers out of there, money in they pocket.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
They ain't just around here, yep.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
That kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
That profile bottom line profile profile live lived through profiling here.
So but yes, yes, it was a fantastic story. It
was the highlight of the black text Sports Hall of
fame was the Hey Boys story ever in there just
ever since survived that Hey and you can just see
(07:08):
Stalling saying today, boy, you don't quick. There's a thousand
So everybody could hear it, you know, echoed throughout the
mountains California.
Speaker 7 (07:23):
You know how many people like everybody was probably like, yeah,
that would have.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Imagine that this this.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
So, by the way, when we leave here, so our podcast,
we leave the podcast studio here at the Star, you

Speaker 3 (08:07):
They're gonna have locker room later on today.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
Cowboys getting raised ready to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday,
in the midst of three games in eleven days.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Now.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
So you played the Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
On Monday night, short week, you know, Monday night, getting
back in late.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
By the way, Vegas puts on the show.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
It's a nice stadium, right, it's.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
A nice stadium. It's a nice it's a nice venue.
They've got this great little concert venue up top. So
when you when you when you go in there, they've
already got a band that's playing. So they had this
this girl group. They were rocking the guitar so that
they were playing. Nelly did the halftime. You know, they
come out there. Man, it is it is. It is Vegas, right, So, yes,
(08:52):
it's a show before the light everything everything. I mean,
it is one of those if you're going to go
to a game, say I just want to go beat.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
That is a player. We're gonna at least in Yeah,
he's gonna have some fun.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Yes, yeah, so it was. It was definitely there.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
The old old Cowboys that Randon Williams was out there
because Random played for the Cowboys and the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
He was out there.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
So so it was a lot of people that I saw. Boy,
I saw Tyren Smith big Time was.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Out there, so some was out He's just hanging in Vegas.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
No, he.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Hey, you know.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
What, you look good?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
I mean he looked cut. I mean he looked like
he could be a wrestler. Right now, I cut up.
He looked, I told you, okay, I mean t Smith looked.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
He looks like, you know, he looks like he can play,
you know, but you know how they because and he
talked about, you know, hey, I'm playing football. I'm done.
And Bill Romanowski once said, two things happened. You get fatter.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
That's not always and it's usually the big guys get
skinny and the little guys get mad.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
It's just it's always it works out that way.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
Come on, you see what I work.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Come yo, Paul, I just would make sure I just
say that. But it's they did it right. They left Oakland,
they left you know, you walked.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
In Mandan Campbell walked in there like that. You know,
there's been a long time. It's been a long time.
Hey what was this quote? What are you?
Speaker 4 (10:27):
I heard about it people on the people on social media,
So you ain't going while.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
A while.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
And then that night, man, I'm sitting there, I see,
I see Santana's before me at.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
The House of Blues.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
I seen in the future. I seen.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
I almost want tickets to it, man, just to say, you.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
Know how they say sometime the properly get it wrong.
I've seen the glimpse but it was just wasn't right here.
It was wrong.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
I was going to go to Santana, but then I
went and saw baby facing instead.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
I should have went to Santana. Louis.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
I took a picture for him. That was enough, man,
we thought, I was. You're my mind in Vegas. Man,
big track, big track.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
That's the gift that keeps on giving. Santana.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
So my daughter thought my daughter I thought it was great.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Convince. I was like, you gotta have bring home car.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
He's gonna bring the guitar.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
You know that you have messed up. You gotta just
have that confidence what you say, Uh, logan, gotta get
out there. We all wrong. We all right, all right,
you believe and I did. I was that close.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
I was that we got Santana, you know, not me.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
When I saw the.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Red brother already know to read. I saw the clip.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
Oh my brother.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
He's trying to stay, He's trying to stand strong on
this kid. His head down was it was.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
It was a funny weeks us a lot of quota quote.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Okay, hey, I didn't miss you guys, but you they
know whoy bro. I needed a vacation.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
We know you didn't know I needed to make down
there eating the buttersteak that I needed the vacation, don't.
You don't get No.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Eight days in Vegas is fine for me because I'm
not you know, yeah, per day.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
It really wasn't eighty. So so I was at a resource.
I wasn't okay, I was. I was at this little
time shift. Yeah, and so I did. I didn't get
to the strip till after day four. So I didn't
go to strip till day four.
Speaker 5 (12:43):
I was telling, you're having a good time.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Get alone. I got I got it. I got it Monday, all.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
Right, now focused focused, brothers, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
No, no, that is putting the slot machine.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
Not no dollar for anything, no great.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
No food shows.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
No, no, but like nothing. I didn't need it, man,
I didn't need it.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
I walked about the sports book and was just fine
just watching people.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Man.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
You could just see too many thirsty people in there,
especially the sports books. Man, like the Michigan game and
Notre Dame game went down to the end, you saw, man,
people had people doing too much.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
I was gonna say, I can't imagine like how the
lobby was looking like, I'm just trying to get to
dinner like that is crazy.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
A great time, great time, and they and I'm like.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Right here once.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
And by the way, I have to stay was cawble fans.
Speaker 7 (13:45):
Yeah, I mean that's a destination game and a lot
of senses too as well.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
It's the first ever game. It was the first it
was the first ever.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Game they played in Vegas and yeah, yeah, the last
time they played was a December game in Oakland when
they was Jean Seratory, his rator came out there and
did a measurement from like that the car that was.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Man, Yeah, when has that ever been in football before?
Speaker 5 (14:21):
Bro?
Speaker 4 (14:23):
And then Derek Carr like fumbled the ball out of
bounds and then they ended upboy the game.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
When he tried to Derek Carr tried to stretch from
the twenty yard line to get to the thing.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Man.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Yeah, so that was that was the last time they placed.
I was the were but but.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
We're not supposed to root, you know, mind, I'm not
supposed to root the Cowboys, But damn it, I was.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Rooting for this when that.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
I mean, with everything that had happened the Bible, it
was sol I just and and I'm like, man, I
I just want to go in the locker room and
just see some happy faces. Man, and dude, it was
just it was such a relief and it was just
good to see these guys man win the game and
winning a dominant fashion and go in the room and
(15:08):
just see just you know, they were, you know, obviously
happy for themselves. They talked about playing for the standard,
what Marshawn would want and this way. Man, it was
just truly it was just one of those times in
twenty seven years of coming to Cowboys and I was like,
you know what, man, thank goodness that they won, won
in the fashion they did and they were able to you.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Know, complete the mission.
Speaker 7 (15:31):
Shout out to the Raiders for being classy enough to
do something and remembers of mars of Latimer.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
I'm sorry it was.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
There.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
I mean, you know that happened across a lot of games,
lot across a lot of stadiums, man, I mean even
over in Europe. You know, the game, they they paid
tribute to him, So the league overall did, and of
course the Raiders and and it's a lot of people
don't realize that relationship between the Cowboys and the Raiders.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
And when Jerry came into.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
The league, al Davis was the one who really wrapped
his arms around him, and he learned a lot from
Al and the Maverick that Al was, Jerry became. So
I was like they passed that mantle to each other,
and you know the NFL, and they had their legal
battles with with Al had it with Jerry over to
Phil Knight and Pepsi.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
So so there's a lot of kittals in there.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
Then when Mark Davis could not guilt get the stadium
built in Oakland, he ended up going to Vegas. Ironically,
he was working with the Atolson's Sheldon Aedelson, who's passed away.
His family now owns the Mavericks and the stadium deal
fell apart. Who rescues the stadium deal for Mark Davis
(16:41):
Old Jered Jerry gets him with Bank of America. They
get the stadium built and then of course legends is
you know you're drinking a beer drinking water is Jerry's company,
Jerry Jerry, Jerry, Jerry left for something so you so, yes,
(17:02):
the food, the beck the name of all that legends
was was right there. So one of the many stages
is Jerry's. Jerry's a part of some but they put
on a great show. This They've got some seats down there.
It's called the Wind Club at the hotel.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
Man, Man, you know, you know what if you're going
to Okay, and I'll say, if you're going to pay
premium money for those seats in the bottle service ladies,
who was coming out there?
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Going do it there? Do it there?
Speaker 4 (17:33):
If you I'm not a big hey, man, I want
to buy tickets to a game because I've been in
so many, but I would tell you I do it there.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
I'm not going We're going to next year. I'm using mine.
Let's go. I'm sold the way that.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
I'm telling you, like that stadium, you could be in
there watching the game and forget the games going on.
That's that much stuff going on inside of it is
a show.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
It's a show.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
It's entertained.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
It is.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
It is entertainment, you know, the way the way Vince
McMahon sells tell the ww's entertainment, sports entertainment.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
That thing is sports entertainment.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
I tell you.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
It's one of the few times I left like, man, Okay,
that's that's where you should be rolling to.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
Man. Is it it is captivating or is it more
captivating than it was? When the AT and T Stadium
opened up with the biggest jumbo trump, because I know
when we went in there, it was like, Yo, you
were distracted. You're trying to watch the game, but the
whole time you're just sitting here looking up at the
at the jump front. But then you realize behind you
(18:30):
you got the bars that you could see and everybody
in the Cowboys club to where when AT and T
first opened up, you were coaches used to tell us
when they made our game plan, don't be distracted by
the lights, stop paying attention, lock in. But you couldn't
help see that. So I wonder is it like that
for the Raidership?
Speaker 4 (18:46):
So because and I'm my guilty things, I've been in
Jerry World so many times.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
It's it's modeled a little bit after.
Speaker 7 (18:54):
I think this is the Yeah, he said that, he
said the.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
It's the it's the blue.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
So everybody operates off it like Minnesota is like a
small Jerry World. This is operates a little bit off it,
but it's it's uniquely. They made it the Vegas, the
whole Vegas thing, man, and it's just.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
What the stage like, I really want to see that stage,
Like when I seen on everybody's story. Like I said,
I played there at the Raiders. Donald Penn like he's
always at every game, like Bryce Butler's been there multiple times.
That every time they show it, it's like you see
the field, but then you go right there to the
eternal flame? Is that? Where is that? Where it is?
It's always at an angle when I see it on
the story, So I was wondering, like, how does that
(19:32):
look like on the stadium.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
It's first class. I mean, bottom line is it's first class.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
They took everything that's great about Jerry World and the
other status and they put it in there in Las
Vegas and they you know, give give Mark Davison credit. Hey,
if you come here. It's a different kind of thing.
I was gonna go see the hockey game there with
the Golden Knights because I hear the show they put
on there right before they dropped the puck. It's the
same thing. That is it is. It is that kind
of deal which overall, man, that's what you have to
(19:59):
have and you go to Vegas. That's why I love
going to the shows. Even the restaurants. Man, there's so
much competition for your dollar. You gotta be good and
you gotta have an experience. It's Vegas. It's got to
be next level.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
Man said, So I can't wait till I get that
little it's.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Black, right, So the walls are black.
Speaker 7 (20:18):
So anytime you go anywhere, everything is popping, like the
art on the wall. Everything is like it's it's. It's
so vibrant in that place. Man, it's it's. It's an
awesome stadium.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
It's it is, it is all that.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
It up.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
Let's go next year, Let's speak the game.

Speaker 4 (24:45):

Speaker 4 (25:36):

brought to you my Aristocrat game. CBS Sports has come
out with their top ten quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
Dak Prescott's not.
Speaker 5 (25:48):
One of them, and man, are you serious?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
I thought you were saying Brian Party Brock Parties number ten.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Shut you have missed like.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
Games man, the guy over there is not even broad
So Purty is ten.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
Sam Darnel is nine, okay, Jordan.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
Love is eight, Baker Mayfield seven on the list, Jared
Goff is six.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Yeah, Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts his five.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
That's debate two times.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
M v P Lamar Jackson is four. M v P
current MVP Josh Josh Allen is three. I'll take the
New England's Drake may Ye number two and number one
with twenty seven touchdowns, eight two records.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
So kayleb wheims there, he ain't on there, No, Dak
Dak Prescott is there before.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
That's why I said I would have put I would
on there over Party. But even okay, Lamar, I leave him.
I wouldn't have him as high number four. He's been
out Jordan, the hell, Like, what are we talking about?
The team is not even doing good. I didn't make
the Listen, I ain't on either like that.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Dak is number eleven and Patrick Mahomes is twelve quarterback
rankings right now.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
I really thought you were just setting this up to
like get the fans and the viewers at home like excited.
But that is.
Speaker 6 (27:13):
This man was in the Envy before these last two games,
the two games before the Raiders he was.
Speaker 5 (27:18):
He was in the nv pup.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
He ain't even the top ten. That's that list.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
That surprise the CBS, CBS Sports, CB has sports done.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
Threw it out there. You're gonna have taco over there?
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Man, Yeah, I can't.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
I can't, can you. I can't imagine that one.
Speaker 5 (27:35):
Okay, who would you argue in that list that you
would take out out of that list?
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Yes, we already said you party.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
I think he's playing just as good as Love. Love
just got a better record.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Here's what they said about that. There's been a little
middle ground with Prescott this year. The veteran is either
dicing up opponents defenses or forcing darts into traffic. If
the Cowboys upgrade outgrade defense keeps on rising he could
be due for a hot finish, That's what they said.
Speaker 5 (28:04):
So you're you're basically penalizing him for his defense being
so trash like this man averages thirty points a game.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Like that is their their explanation for brock Party being
in ten was finally back under center after a six
games absence. Pretty six game was mister cool lofting it
downfield to wrap the Cardinals. Forget the naysayers. He's Kyle
Shanahan's top dealer. Now can he stay on the fields?
Speaker 5 (28:30):
Six games?
Speaker 2 (28:32):
And Jones he has.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
Like and no slight, no slack to Pretty or Mac Jones,
but like that's more of a testament to Kyle Shanahan
and what he's doing up there schematically, But like Dak
has like you can't you can't go get Joe Milton
and he do what Dak was doing right there. At
least I don't think he can, like not in this scheme,
Like that is so discious.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
Damn Jones not up in there. Daniel Jones is sixteen,
That's what I'm six. Kaylen Williams is seventeen on the list.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
Mister four Jones, I mean he.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Got a great Runner game, but he ain't playing well
this year.
Speaker 5 (29:11):
He playing well? He is?
Speaker 12 (29:14):
This is this stop it.
Speaker 5 (29:16):
If we're talking about pure pure quarterbacks.
Speaker 7 (29:19):
Yeah no, this this this this list is uh based
off of last year or something else based off this.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
This is through week twelve when they got six game
week nine?
Speaker 5 (29:30):
Was it week nine?
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Week twelve?
Speaker 5 (29:32):
Right? Twelve twelve? You miss you missed half of the season,
and you and you and you and the time ten
don't want to don't know, don't they saying? Pff, you
gotta like play majority of the snaps of a certain percentage,
like I feel like to do. To have that, it
should be the same requirements. I mean, you got to
play majority of the game. Because how many games did
Lamar miss miss hate four or five? About the same amount,
(29:54):
if not more. And he's still up there like number four.
And it ain't like he came back and just took off.
He they he came back. They slow rolling though.
Speaker 7 (30:03):
I'm looking at all these different teams up here, bro
and I'm like, okay, so Aaron Rodgers might have I mean,
he ain't balling, but shoot, he played more than Brock
Party has at this point.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
You know, I mean, you want to see where they
got Aaron Rodgers on this list right now? Fifteen, we're
Flacco at Flacco twenty right now.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
To me, came over there and did something at the Bengals.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
That's crazy. But not that number eleven. That's he That
ac should be around seven eight, maybe maybe six.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
Yeah, like it's just only been two games, bro, So
here's the beauty of this.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Okay, beat Philadelphia this week, Go beat Kansas City on
Thanksgiving Day.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
What you want is doable.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
Doable.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
You want to you want to move.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
Up in the rankings.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Here are two opportunities to do it.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
You had Philadelphia, but he had the drops number eighty eight,
decided to drop boy dropped.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
The touch Come on negative?
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Did I did I lie?
Speaker 5 (31:03):
Did I lie? Live?
Speaker 3 (31:05):
We're telling the truth?
Speaker 5 (31:06):
Okay, Monday night?
Speaker 4 (31:07):
He drops touchdown? That should have five? You should have five?
Can you make thirty five?
Speaker 5 (31:12):
Mili?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
You want that money? I mean what right there?
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Right?
Speaker 5 (31:15):
Okay? So here it is.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
You get the Eagles right here, your opportunity. You got
a defense now, a defensive line, I should say defensive line.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
So this is an opportunity. Did I lie? God?
Speaker 5 (31:37):
Did I?
Speaker 4 (31:38):
I don't know, Tom, it's the Raiders, dude, Raiders, dude,
it is two and eighteen.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
It's on their way to try to hit battling for
the number one pick.
Speaker 7 (31:46):
Hey, the Cowboys deserve everything that comes along. When it's like,
you got to prove it to me at this point,
you know what I mean. So they deserve all that.
But you know, just but you're only good as your
last reps. And what coaches always tell us.
Speaker 5 (31:59):
You don't look off to the side where they say
you only good last repe that last rep.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Is there what a parcel said you are with your record?
Speaker 5 (32:08):
He did say that as well. And right now ship
five and one.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
And when you start to look at the who are
you beating? Jets?
Speaker 4 (32:18):
Last place, Giants fired coach, last place, Raiders, last place?
Speaker 3 (32:24):
These and then you got Washington.
Speaker 4 (32:26):
Ain't nobody struggling struggling, So you're almost beat Philly.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
You tied Green Bay.
Speaker 5 (32:34):
You didn't have a defense.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Then it doesn't matter. You were right there. You do it,
do not, There is no try. That's what Yoda says.
Speaker 5 (32:41):
Okay, I thought you with the title.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
You know what I got food.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
I got food. I appreciate you.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
I got food, food food. I'm like the President said,
can't get food.
Speaker 6 (32:54):
Let me ask you this from this past week's games
that that you've seen, because we saw in Kansas City, Philly,
Chargers Detroit, do you believe a little bit more that
the Cowboys can do something this last stretch?
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Are you still on that man?
Speaker 3 (33:10):
Brian Brod has talked about the Raiders having a bad
offensive line.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
That's bad off asive line. And the Cowboys did They
did what they're supposed to good and they do that work.
Show us what you can do against Philadelphia and then
then that's that's at the end of the day. You
know what, as somebody tells SOMEONEE says, don't tell me
you love me, shell me, okay, right? They gotta show
you right right and that it or what parcels you said.
(33:35):
All I can go by is what I see, What
do I see? And what have I seen that for
three years? You can beat bad teams. It's the good teams.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
You got your troubles and problems to discipline teams. Teams
ain't gonna make mistakes and then get penalties and all that.
You got to just go out there and beat them.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
So that's here comes the Super Bowl champ No more.
After the first got oh, well, if they play like that, man,
they would be good that you lost your loss.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
Do it, go do it.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
They beat Philly on Sunday, you turn around and you
get Kansas City here on Thursday. Quick, you win those two,
win those two games. Then you're having a different conversation
because you're also gonna have a winning record. You're gonna
be six five and one, and then we'll see what
else happens. But if if you're talking about Dak moving
up in the rankings, okay, buddy, you're about to face
(34:21):
some teams right now where you can move up.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
You're gonna have the lines.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
You know, you got games where you can go ahead
and show people that hey, you are a top ten
quarterback and and move up.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
The cowboys are they're gonna do it. They gotta do
it now, and you get them at home too.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
We gotta get a break, man, break get you read ready,
get ready, go ahead, read through it through practice.
Speaker 3 (34:43):

The last time the Eagles lost the football game was
ironically to an NFC opponent, NFC East opponent, and it.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Was the the Giants.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
You the thirty four to seventeen put on, and that
was that was up there in the meadowland. And the
Eagles lost on the road before that, Remember they lost
before that. That was all they have lot they else
at home. It didn't for twenty one to seventeen. So
you know, those those are the games that they've lost.
So they play a lot of you start looking at you.
(38:17):
They play a lot of close games. They beat the
Cowboys by four points, They beat the Chiefs by three points.
They they beat the Bucks, remember that come back there,
so they beat them by six points. And that one
that the Vikings game was closed twenty eight, twenty two
when they had to go face the Packers that was
(38:38):
a close one, ten to seven ball game. And then
last week sixteen nine. So they're gonna play close games.
They know how to close the show. That's what makes
them a good football team. So how did the Cowboys
close the show?
Speaker 6 (38:51):
Now you got you gotta put up points in my opinion,
and it's gonna be tough because you know Philly. They
they held Detroit who got a high powered offense. I
believe what nine points out there? And to make what
makes peel so dangerous, It don't matter what type of
style of fight it is, like if you want to
do it, you know, a slugfest and it's a ten
to seven game, they could come out on top with that.
The Rams went up on them, I think it was
(39:11):
like twenty one to seven and they marched all the
way back and beat them.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
So no matter what style of fight, it.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Seems like the Eagles come out on top.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
And this is gonna be a game where like I
said yesterday, the big dogs is gonna have to show
up and there's no room for error.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
Like you can't lose a turnover battle.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
You can't do those self, you know, self hurting penalties
out there, they get you behind the eight ball. You're
gonna have to play, you know, damn near perfect against
this team because that defense is tumultuous.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
And if you got those guys.
Speaker 6 (39:39):
On the outside start the rolling aj Brown and the
slim reaper Deavonte Smith, then you a trouble. Then you
trouble because then you know, here comes Saquon. So they
gonna have to have a game plan with this offense.
Puts up some points and hopefully they can let that
defensive line pin their ears back and make things hard
for Jailen Hurts, because if you don't, it's gonna be
hard for the Cowboys get a dub out there.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
I think it's gonna have to be some bully ball
this week.
Speaker 7 (40:00):
And when I say that, it's gonna be on both sides,
the front up front, on both sides of the ball.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
All right.
Speaker 7 (40:05):
You know the Cowboys with with with the d line
and what they're trying to build off of what happened
last week, and Quinnen out there and Kenny and there
on the inside together. I think that you know, in
Philly's gonna Philly's gonna be an aggressive team, you know
what I mean. And so we know that they're between
Jalen and sa Quon, they got two people back there
who can run the ball right now. But then, not
to mention, you know, like it's gonna have to be
(40:26):
the same thing on our side, because when Philly comes
in here with that d line that they got and
that you canna say that they got, you can't just
let them pining back their ears all day and just
rush the passer.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
So you're gonna have to You're gonna have to run
that ball. He's gonna have to be some bully ball
in there.
Speaker 7 (40:39):
And hopefully, you know what I'm saying, the Cowboys will
be able to maintain and and and come back and
it's as close as they were last time, you know,
and maybe push it to either get over the edge
or make it a more competitive game too.
Speaker 5 (40:52):
And I agree, I think it's gonna be trench warfare
all day. It starts in the front is gonna be there.
We want the Cowboys to build off of that momentum.
But also I'm gonna Yeah, we expect Quinn Williams to
do what he's gonna do. You got Clint Kenny Clark.
But I think the X factor is gonna be in
what we seen last week. Oh Diggy Zoo was coming
off the bench, being fresh, being a high powered starter,
(41:16):
being there on that back end. So I think it's
gonna be with.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Them stay right there.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
Lane Johnson the outstanding and he hurt, yes, yes, standing tackle.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
For them out.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
Houston. I'm over there like bruh. We've seen the product
of what happened in that interior with them, like from
all three of those interior pass rushers doing what they do.
You've seen James Houston getting the more one on one
pass rush. You've seen the young pup out there getting
the more one on one and when they had true
one on one, you got to challenge them to win,
which they won last week. Now you got a limp
(41:49):
offensive line coming in. Lane Johnson is their best off
off offensive linement in my opinion, coming in. So it's
like if I'm the d N, it's like, oh my gosh,
please guys do what y'all do and demand that double team,
and I'm gonna make y'all proud, and I think that's
what's gonna be the X factor and how they win this,
say the.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Should we believe Jerry when he said help was on
the way defensively.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Then you know, I definitely think they got a little
bit of help. Now was it?
Speaker 7 (42:13):
What type of help? Did he say how far it
was going to take him? He didn't say that, But yeah,
they definitely got some help last weekend. And it looks good,
you know. And just like Trace said, I'm excited about
the opportunities that the Cowboys have, especially with Laying being
hurt because now, just like you said, I'm rotating ends
over there everybody. Yeah, So like you know, we're just
gonna keep rotating that thing, you know, and and hopefully,
(42:34):
like like you know, with that pass rush, it parlays
to the people on the backside. That's what we need,
you know, because Aj Brown, they can say what they
want to say about him. He's been complaining, he's been that.
But like we always talked about, the Cowboys were giving
an opportunity to have a breakout game, you know what
I'm saying. So you know, we hope that with that
pass rush and what they're able to do up front,
that Like I said, the parlays into some to some
(42:56):
victories on the backside for the DB's stay there.
Speaker 4 (42:59):
Because talking about the interior, when that when you go
back and you look at the first game, it wasn't
Saquent Barkley so much, it was Jalen Hurts the running back.
How does a good defensive line in the interior that
they have now, how does that affect what you see
out a guy like Jalen Hurts being able to run
the ball.
Speaker 5 (43:18):
Well, I think where it's going to affect it is
one he's shorter quarterback, Like make him stay in the
pocket like you sitting there, you got beat on the edge.
And the one thing right now, with that interior pressure,
we've been getting guys humming off the edge. But now
with that interior pressure, every time that we've seen our
scrambling quarterbacks, very few of them really took the wide
route and went around the tackle. They were always stepping
(43:40):
up in the pocket, escaping through that big gap. Well,
now that you got those two big juggernauts, he's going
to have to take a wider set. And I'm confident
with the way that James Houston has been playing the
young guy. But shoot, Clowney. The way that he's doing,
he's looking like the old Clowney that's chasing stuff down
from the back end. I'm not as too worried about that,
and I just want to see. Like I said, it's
(44:01):
also when he comes off the bench, if he's gonna
still be fresh energy and it's no drop off right there.
And if they can do that, I think they're gonna
be able to keep him in the pocket. He's gonna
be too short, and then that touch push is not
gonna it ain't gonna be as effective with those big
guys in there firing shooting downhill. And then with your
linebacker play. You got Overshawan who is a heat seeking missile.
You got Logan who is being the general out there
(44:23):
and really like telegraphing the play before it's gone, Oh
this is where it's gonna go. So I'm I'm actually optimistic.
So when you said a little bit of help, I
thought it was a lot of bit of help. But
I don't know what do y'all What do y'all think?
As a DD like, I.
Speaker 6 (44:37):
Agree with you on that, especially with the defensive line
and the linebackers. I think you know that first matchup
you had Kenneth Murray out there, you had some of
the young guys, you know, Mary's Lee files and that,
And when you watch the tape of that game, it
was a lot of miss tackles, a lot of miss tackles,
man a lot of bad reads and they were out
of place a lot, And that's what it was, you know.
Plus with the rustlings, that's what allowed jayalen Hurst to
get busy out there, especially on third down on those scrambles.
(44:59):
But you got a guy like overshown sideline the sideline,
he's able to use that speed and kind of be
that spy on Hurts as well as a Logan Wilson
who's like I talked about the other day, the cerebral
guy understands down in distance, understands, you know, how the
offenses are going to try to take advantage of the defense.
I think they'll be able to be able to find
a way to box him in, and I don't think
he'll be as effective as he was in that first
game running the football. Now passing the football, it'll be
(45:21):
a little bit different. But I think they'll be able
to box him in and force him to use his
arm more than he did the first game.
Speaker 3 (45:26):
All right, I'm going to the locker room here a
little bit.
Speaker 4 (45:29):
What would about you know, how do you how do
you limit Jalen Hurts because that was he was so
effective in the first game. And obviously you guys have
both played. When you play Division teams, you know him
a whole lot here. No, No, two games are the same. No,
two games are the same. So we one in game one.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
It's just like, you know, hey, it was like homeboy
will not spin on that get thrown out.
Speaker 5 (45:51):
I forgot that about that too. I didn't even remember.
Speaker 7 (45:55):
He got to get some like CD. I'm sure catch
the ball, right, you know you got that in this head,
you know what I mean. So I'm sure he's coming
out and expecting to do to contribute big time this week.
Speaker 4 (46:05):
And got some work to make up, all right, Anthony
dor said, appreciate Trey Moore Spary Church later, h.
Speaker 5 (46:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com
and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
