Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hope.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm for the review.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Uh obviously, Adam going to Minnesota. What what are the
the what's the range of emotions for you with him
going back home as your friend but also losing.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Him as a team.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
Yeah, you know, obviously that's you know, it's part of
the business. You know, someone who obviously has meant so
much to us over these last couple of years on
the field, but even more off the field. You guys
get to see the Sundays, but what he's meant to
the team just in the locker room. The leader has
been all that stuff, you know, stuff that you know,
It's part of the business. I get. I'm you know, Uh,

(00:40):
We're always gonna be, always gonna be close. I'm always
gonna be rooting for him in his success. So but
you know, with that being said, you know, we're the
Panthers obviously, and I have all the conference in the
world in the group that we have here in the
receiver Corps, in the offense, you know, it's we have
a lot of a lot of young guys that are
ready to step up rad to to keep going, Guys
that are that are hungry, that are working hard.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
So I'm excited for for the group.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
You can consistently be openly positive about you and back
you up throughout those last two years. How much you know,
having a guy like that along with Andy and and
some of the other bets buy into you and your
performance and stick by you.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yeah, I mean a minute, ton, I couldn't couldn't ask
for a better bet receiver to come into the league with,
to to have those conversations with, to learn from again
him as a person, one of the best people I've
been around here and same as a player. So I'm
always gonna wish him the best and again for us.
Now obviously that's that's the nature of the business. You know,

(01:40):
you have to turn the page. You have to you know,
figure out what what's tangible we can work on, uh,
what we can do as a team to be the
best version of the Panthers we can And that's what
we're focused.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
On, y'all.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
After the announcement, Yeah, you know, it's everything happens really quickly.
He was here for a second, just here early like
he is.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
And then had to go.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
But I was able to to to see him and
talk to him, so, uh, you know, obviously I'll keep
that between us. But you know, Uh, that's you know,
that's the business.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
I think you're the guy you trusted from the very beginning,
just as we're out running and sharp and everything. How
do you replace that?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
And what's that say that the Panthers were willing to
move home from that As far as where your progress.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Is, yeah, you know, I don't think that it's something
you replace. It's just everyone, you know, steps up and
becomes the best version of themselves. You know, like you said,
obviously Adam has been been huge trust's offense. But I
have all the trust in the world and the front
office and and the coach of staff. You know, it's
not someone now has to change their game to do
something else.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
You know. We we have a ton of great guys.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
We have all the conference world and receiver rooms, so
it just becomes more opportunity and for guys to step
into who they are continue to grow and build. So
we just want everyone to continue to be themselves.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
It has been hard for guys like Jalen and Team
Mac and all of them to get those opportunities.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
You're ref and saying if Adam was back.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Again, you know, that's that's not really up for me,
uh to to decide you know, I actually the game plan,
do his best, but you know, rotations, all that stuff,
that's that's the front office, that's the coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Uh, they handle all that.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
But with how it is now, you know, there'll be
plenty of opportunity and we have a have a great group.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Jalen seemed to thrive when Adam was sidelined last year
because he was kind of making up for him in
the lineup. What did you see from Jalen as he
kind of down that stretch once she came back, What
did you see from him? And then what have you
seen from him heading into this summer and heading into
the season.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah, it was just great to watch him last year
just come into his own, you know, get more and
more reps, get more comfortable in the system, someone that
we feel super confident in whatever his role is and
playing you know, all the positions again, you know, everything's new,
so the coach staff decides his role is, what everyone's
role is will be something we decided ongoing. But from
there all the way to till now in the off season,

(03:57):
you just see more of him coming coming out. You know,
he's not having to think about plays and what to do,
but being able to be the dynamic playmaker he is
him be able to bring all that he does to
the game.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
So we're excited to continue to watch him grow.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Right.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
So you look at that room, now there's outside of
David a lot of youth and there guys in their
first year or their second year.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
I'm s hear it.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
In your third season, in your role that you're at,
how can you help bring those guys along so that
you can kind of see the continuation of what you
guys were going to do offensively last year.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Yeah, just all of us working together, stay in communication.
The great thing about this group, like you said, it's young,
and it's a lot of young guys that want to
be great, that are hungry.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
You want to work.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
I want to be the best version of themselves, see
the best offense we can be, So us continuing to
have conversations, just push each other, you know, obviously as
a quarterback for me to lead by example on and
off the field, and then make sure they were all
on the same page when it comes to practices. And
I'm grateful to have a group like that where that's
not that's not difficult. You know, they want to hear
what I have to say, you know, they want to
be on the same page. So just us continuing to

(04:56):
do that is going to be super important.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
What do you know about he's situation, is you know,
possibly go running the season without your starting left back on.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yeah, you know, I'm not one hundred percent sure. Obviously
the doctor side of it, not a doctor, but but uh,
but you know, obviously he's he's healing up right now.
Uh talked to him, Uh, talked to him yesterday. And
you know, for him it sucks even Uh, there's no
one that wants to be back on the field more

(05:26):
than him. He if it was up to him, he
would have got up off the table and tried to
come back and practice. That type of competitor is But
you know those aren't aren't my decisions regards of.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Who it is.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
I'm gonna have a ton of confidence and whoever's called up,
whoever it may be, always confident in the life
