Speaker 1 (00:00):
Upon further review.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hello everyone, how are we doing? How are we doing?
One story?
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Like who has like the craziest like little off season,
like something like go somewhere crazy, experience something. If anyone
has something that's like my I for sure got something
that's the best here anyway, I know someone's got something
the last couple of months.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Like live.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Life, what a beautiful thing? Anyone else? Here we go, Here,
we go. Me, I don't got no, I don't you know.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. It was.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
That was fun going out to going out to the
lake with the guys was fun. Got to have a
couple of days away from away from here, away from
kind of where anyone was at. Just being able to
meet like a neutral site is always fun. So I
say that was that was a highlight for.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Me water because you weren't full of I'll be.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
All right, I'll be honest with you. I don't mind water.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I don't like being like I don't like sitting around
like being wet, if that makes sense, Like I don't
like like seeing it like after you get out the water,
like you know, like the red your cloth, like your
shorts's way, Like I don't like that feeling.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
I'll be honest with you. So that's that's why, uh.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Prince Princely looked like he kind of jar ball. Did
you guys have to have a conversation after that one?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
I mean, I didn't have to say anything. But you know,
that's that, that's competition. It's football.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Obviously, you know there's some some you know, some some
etiquete stuff in football. But young guy getting after this
first day out here in training camp, and we want
to see those plays on Sundays. You know, he's a competitor.
We're all competitors. We want to be getting each other better.
So you know, obviously we're you know, we want to
take care of each other practice and all that. But
I love what he's doing, love what he stands for.
(01:59):
You know, where he's on my team at the end
of the day. So see him do stuff like that
is is is great. So we we love the competition.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Targeted Hunter quite a bit. He's obviously coming back after
a year the way, what have you noticed about him
working with him the last you know, I guess, I mean,
I guess.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
They're in the off Yeah, yeah, just seeing his you know,
he has such a great feel for the game. Versus
man versus his own He just has a great, great
knack for getting O when he understands concepts, understands defensive leverage,
does a really good job at the top of routes,
creating separation, giving indicators, really friendly easy to throw to
as a quarterback. So you know, super excited to continue
(02:37):
to build chemistry with him.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
So say, for this first couple of thrown grows kind
of pop up the crowd that's out there.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
What what's what's the vibelike without fans here training camp?
Speaker 6 (02:46):
And how do you guys kind of make up for that?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, you know, we we just got to bring our juice.
You know, obviously we love the fans, we love support,
and you know, for us, fans aren't there during the season. Obviously,
you know, we we have to make sure that you know,
we're we're we're bringing our own energy. You know, there's
enough comp petition between all of us just to stay
focused and Andy Day, it's a blessing to be out here.
I mean, I play football for a living. You know,
I'm super blessed. I'm super grateful. You know, we're all
(03:09):
living our dreams. So you know, just just leaning on
that having the positivity with that and just understands the
privilege to be out here. So I think just, you know,
having that energy within ourselves is big.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Like Jack and jac were really near near you guys
the quarterback orlds early.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
What was what was that all about?
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Yeah, competing you know again, it's uh, they're great competitors,
great players, and right now training camp is is you know,
we'll be a team on Sundays, but right now it's
offense versus defense. So we're going back and forth to
each other. Just want to make each other better and
make the team better.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Yesterday thinks there's a vibe about this team. I think
she all could surprise some people. Folks like Dan Patrick
have said that are you kind of picking up on
a similar vibe too, that this team's ready to take
the next step.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah, I mean we have confidence within ourselves. We understand
that that comes from training camp. Though, you know, I
believe in everyone in the locker room. We all believe
in each other. But we have to put the working.
We know that this is the time to get better,
to continue to grow as a team, to continue to
to forge our identity. In the carrying of the offseason,
I mean to the regular season, so you know, we
feel great, we're confident, but also we know we have
(04:16):
a lot of work to.
Speaker 5 (04:16):
Do, which was made of the continuity year or two
on a Dave, could you sort of is this where
you really start to feel that a trained camp, that
sort of where everything's a little bit faster.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Maybe than ones last year.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah, I think all of us as a as a team,
you know, having a having a year last year and
then going into this year of just just buying into
to the culture, buying into coach's message, you know, buying
into everything that he presents to us on a day
to day basis. You know, we've we've already brought in
and now it's just making it our own and that's
something that coach always stresses, you know, which is big
(04:50):
for us. We've had that experience now, so you know,
obviously having the same coaching staff with just who this
coaching staff is, you know, we're super great for them
to be here, what they bring. So, uh, you know,
we're we have a lot of work to do, but
we're grateful for it.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Do you see it different day that he starts at
the second season, They wasn't there last year?
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Well, now I mean, he's he's he's the same consistent guy,
just like he was last year, every single day from
the first time he addressed the team to the last.
He's the same person in meetings, in the practice field,
and from a player standpoint, you really respect that consistency.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
You know what you're gonna get from him.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
You know what what it is he stands for, and
that's reflection of the entire entire coaching staff as well.
They do a great job of just being the same
person every day. That's all you really can ask for
as a player. So you know, I think that it
it just speaks volumes that now that you know we've
been around them longer and longer, they're staying the same
level of consistency as as teachers.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
What you learned about him then they made a tough
call events you two games.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
In last year. Yeah, obviously he's he's gonna do whatever
he feels like it makes the team better.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
As the same thing I wanna do.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
You know, we're all Panthers first, and you know we're
w we all are brought into the organization.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Coutdrikes that you ran into him on the street mussing
or something that was about you were you were in
the parer apparently build over and thought to us.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
But yeah, yeah, I was just randomly saw because right,
which was really cool. You know, I I always have
a ton of love for coach right. Uh, you know,
we we were still keeping keeping in contact. You know,
that was you know who drafted me? Who Who's the
reason why I'm here, which I'm super grateful for, so,
you know, it was it was great seeing me had
(06:24):
his guys too. I'm super happy for him at his
spot as well.
Speaker 6 (06:28):
Can you are giving applies that you're able to.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Share, Uh, just support, you know, the same thing he's.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
He's uh, he's been a coach for a long time,
so he understands just how it is, and he has
a lot of respect for this coaching staff, in the
unit and this organization as a whole. So just always supported,
which I super I definitely appreciate how much has t
Mat kind.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Of relied on you to get ready for his first
TEA Tall training team.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah, you know, I think that I appreciate him for
just wanting to have open communication, open dialogue. You know,
he's someone who always wants to talk, always wants to
be on the same page, always wants to learn from
from anyone, from other receivers, coaches. So I think we're
we're lying on each other as we all do just
within the team of you know, we we give each
other that comfort to to have confidence and to go
(07:11):
into the year how we want to feel. And then
you know, right now obviously in training camp is is
when we continue to earn that.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
What's your take on on flag football being an Olympics sport.
I don't think we've asked you about if something you
would ever entertain.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, I think I think it's awesome. It's really cool
to see Obviously, it's it's great to see the game expanding,
both men's and women's you know, especially in younger levels.
It's really cool to see. So seeing the Olympics is is, Yeah,
it's really cool having.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
A chance to, like in your case or anyone's case,
to represent the country and try to be a part
of it.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, I mean I think, you know, for anyone, I
think anyone would say that's obviously, that would that would
be a huge honor for anyone. Olympics is always you know,
it's a it's an amazing event. It speaks for itself.
So yeah, I think it's a great opportunity.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
And so you've done a couple of times now, so
you know what today, Like you said, you have the
existence with Dave to just where is your confidence level lot.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Having you to just kind of purpose a life of years.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yeah, I'm super confident again that that comes from just
this building, being able to rely on my teammates, coaching staff,
who's around me. That's really what I get my confidence from.
And I'm I'm grateful to to be a part of
the organization you're and uh J just like yeah, yeah again,
just just competitors. Uh it brings the best
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Out of wealth a
