Speaker 1 (00:00):
Upon further review, who so Dave said that you and
the rookies and where you go to Evans and Jimmy obviously.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
From Yeah, from the work they put in, from Oka's
the training camp till till now. You just you see
the work that they put in. You see the mindset
that they have. Those are guys that they want to win.
They do all the little things right and at at
the quarterback position. When you see that and instills a
ton of beliefs. So those guys stepping up in big situations,
Uh not a surprise to me at all.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Those are the those type of guys. They are started
the first two weeks, You guys are able to overcome it.
How did the experience of those first two weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Impact Yeah, we're just we're just always gonna keep fighting,
always gonna believe, always gonna uh focus on the next play.
And you know obviously didn't start the way we want to.
Uh stuff for me to clean up, but uh, there
was there was no hesitation, nothing, nothing looking down. We
knew that whatever it is, you know, flush it go
to the next play. That the belief was always there
And I'm so proud to be a part of a team.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Like that, like a change or anything like that, and.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Uh, I was just uh focused on the next play. Again,
we we all have all the belief in the world.
We we we believe in each other where we're uh yeah,
we're we're super excited to to be out there and play.
So again there was no flinch from both sizes the ball,
which again that being a part of that is is
is special. So I'm excited for this group.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
And then the ja Morn's first catch.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, first one just kind of gotta have it. Uh,
gotta have a type of play in the situation that
it was. You know, you don't wanna go down with
that one. Uh, you kind of know the feel of
the game. So it was a great job of team
mag extending with me find open space. That was a
great catch as well. And then the second one just uh,
just like we were talking about earlier, I'm trusting all
of our guys. We got mann a man look uh
on a on a good route and and Jimmy did

(02:11):
an amazing job. Again, I had had all the conference
the world to him just letting him go out there,
be him make a big time play.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Uh, it's third down.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
If they burned their last time out, but they get
the pil in the game.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Just what what did you make that call came?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, you know obviously when you have a you know,
when your play card has confidence, you like that that
that uh, that means a lot. But uh, you know
that's that's what I want as it's as a as
a as a quarterback, what we want, you know. Uh,
and learned a great job of of what it got
open guy got a p I did an amazing job.
And you know you just gotta execute. You know, those
are the moments you you live for and on the

(02:49):
the you know, the the stakes. So yeah, him having
confidence in me, you know, that means the world.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
What did you play? So what'd you learn about Rico job?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Nothing new? Explosive dynasm you know, and and every down
bat can do everything and and in the run game
of the pass game the screen game, again nothing surprising.
He just did a great job to Oline, did an
amazing job from start to finish running past game. This
was huge for us as an identity. But there's nothing
nothing surprising about what he did. That's the type of

(03:19):
player is.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Did you see something different in the week leading up
to today about Excel that made him excel today.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
No again. He he works hard, he has his head down,
he's always grinding, always pushing for it, regardless of what's
out there. What I see is him every single day.
I see how he approaches things. I see how he
is in meetings, I see how he is in practice.
So there wasn't anything anything different, anything done. That's just
that's just him being him.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
What you saw on that, you gave him a chance
one on one coverage on that on that touchdown, and
take Canal said he about crowd after after it happened
was very significantly.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, just just yeah, just the one I went up
on a go ball. You know, I trust him. I
believe in him. You know, when you when you get
those those opportunities, they'll they will come up all the time.
So I was like super excited to see that shot.
I just wanna give 'em a chance to get a
great job adjusting to.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
It where everybody looks for the career, make a comeback
for a win like this, when how how the finding
do you think this.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
For us to do with this team? It's great for
these twenty four hours, it's amazing, and then when we
come back tomorrow, you know, it'll be on to the
next week. You know again, it's it's there. There's never
been a lack of belief. We all know what we have. Uh,
we all know that you know what it takes to execute.
It'll be great again twenty four hours, and then next
week will be the challenge to to execute and do

(04:36):
everything we can. Have a good week to put ourselves in. Ah,
a good spot for Sundays.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
How do you enjoy wins?

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Nothing crazy, just uh, enjoy time with family, relax, get
off my feet and yeah, kind of decompress and then yeah,
back at it tomorrow. Uh, everyone's every you know, it's
the NFL. You can't pick and choose one win being
more important then the other.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
They're all hard fought. I have a ton of respect
for him.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
He he played amazing, made a lot of great throws
as he he always does.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
But yeah, I mean it's it. It's the league. You know.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
You you take pride in every single challenge, and no set.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Of focus was we was not plat in the bad
things spiral to where they're not t insurmountable.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
How did that focus coming into this week? Help y'all
in this game today?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, I think it was a great message. You know
that they carried over again. Obviously not the start that
we want, but for us to be able to refocus.
Our coach talks about that all the time, you know,
being able to refocus from the good from the bad,
whatever it may be. And you saw that in all phases.
You saw everyone, regardless of what was going on, what
the scoreboard was, just be able to refocus on the
next play. And that's something that's gonna be important for
us moving before its Yeah, I mean it's huge when

(05:53):
you when you uh, when you're able to rush for
it for that amount, be that productive in the run game,
and and that that that's Reeco, that's the old line
that that's the coaching scheme and stuff up. You know,
that makes your job way easier as a quarterback. And
you know they have to respect that stuff. So you know,
it's it's something we know we're capable of. It's on
us to continue to to to excel there, continue to
be consistent. But I mean, I'm I'm I'm super grateful

(06:15):
to be with this.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Grouping like that. What do you guys see in the
Rico and the Miami defense that made the confident you.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Could I was just out there executing coaches play calls.
And coach did a great job of of of balancing
to run the past, you know, uh, being unpredictable, doing
a a a great job putting us in a great situation.
So uh, I was just out there working to execute
that all right, because you ask.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Brad to to really to call that play that was
the big brilliant at the start of second.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
After Did you been a part of those conversation us.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
You know that was coming before it was called?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, uh yeah, coach. Yeah, and that's something that coach
does a great job of empowering us with. Uh, Brad
coaching house whoever maybe you know, wanted us to be vocal,
wanted us to you know, to pounder the desk for
a play, and yeah, Rico did that. Uh he called
a shot. And you know we all have that belief,
we all have that that that drive for something. You know,
it's a lot better chance of making it work. So

(07:12):
that that speaks of the competitor he is.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
What does it mean to him as one getoria obviously
as a rookie.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, it's huge. He's a great player, you know, is
a rookie. But you wouldn't you wouldn't know by how
he prepares, by the field he plays with by uh uh,
a lot of little things. So yeah, he's a great
addition to the offense. He's he's great for us as
a unit. And yeah, we're we're really excited he's out there.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Said he had a pretty good idea you were coming
to him on that fourth down?

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Was he the first look on that play? Yeah, yeah
he was.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Uh again, I I trust everyone based on the you
know what we were getting the rosson coverage. He he
had the opportunity, and again I I trust him. It's
one on one to to win the game, you know,
man coverage, and uh, I had all the conference, the
world him to do exactly what he did. Four
