Speaker 1 (00:00):
Upon further review, I expect to be out there in
training camp low management and UH open in the next
few weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I could clear it. So that's the that's the goal.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
And then you know, just at that point, it's just
getting back in football shape and you know, being able
to to go out there and play with the team.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
That's that's what's all my mind, to be honest.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
For the start a training camp or I hope so,
but you know, we'll find out when we go see
UH doct I.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Is it hard to stay patient? And how difficult is
that sort of uncertainty?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Cause you kN you you wanna be out and I
I was talking to aheon yesterday and he's like, you know,
he's like, you'd be good. I'm like, it's like you
go to the playground, like you got the basketball when
you're little kid, and like they play with your ball,
but then everybody else playing you gotta sit out and watch.
I'm like, it sucks, but it's one of those things
that you know, it's just part of the process.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
This was a a.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Pretty significant injury. Was there a part when.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
You got back out on the field where.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
You had to learn to trust your legs, trust your knees.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Trust yourself again.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Uh no, when they tell me my crutch away from me,
I did have to relearn that. Uh s uh eight
nine weeks of uh being on crutches, no weight bearing
and then trying to get on the trim miill walk again.
It felt funny, but uh, you know, huge strides from
where we were then and now back out on the
field runing around with their buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
What what's that like for you?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Eventually as a guy that you know, it's an incredible
a like never had something to do with someone like
learning how walk basically get how dough with how difference.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I think it was all just it was a mental
game first once I once I was able to get
back in the weight room and like you know, let
myself know that I was strong enough to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Like that was I.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
That has been the progression the whole time, just being
able to prove it mentally and then being able to
do it physically.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Is different.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Your mine looks pretty different than the one you left
last year.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
W What has it been like having a shown around
you more and having Turk.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Out there too?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Ah? Good?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I mean I feel like right now in our room,
we got a bunch of selfless guys. So you know
when you play with selfless guys that just wanna come
out and work every single day, and you know, that's
where you built their brotherhood.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
That's where you come in here.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
And you know it's not it doesn't have to be
East one guy shore the next, but when we're going
to go out to the field of play, I mean
that's I think that's where you start to get there.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
There's no drop off in play.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
You're still kind of you know, limited as you're getting
back into. Actually, just this week, how Good has a
building with Jersey back on and be.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Back on the field.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Oh Good, been doing a lot of like rehab on
the side, been doing some uh walk throughs and stuff.
I mean, nothing compares to being like in teen periods,
So I mean that sucks, but you know it's just
I've just got to be out here, to be honest.
You know, I spent most of the fall in the
training room not being to be out here, So you know,
I'm grateful for it.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
What's what's what's it been like working with Bobby Brown? Uh,
a guy who looked up to you kind of in college,
were your number and stuff like this? What's it been
like working with Bobby's funny. Bobby's really funny.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Uh Like I said, man, we got a bunch of
selfless guys in there, and it's everybody a and it
it's funny cause it's all like, you know, the biggest
duws on the team, but like also like the most childish,
like got a joke group every day, Like our meetings
literally start off five ten minutes. It's just shooting the
crap and then you know, ur d line coach.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I mean, I'm tired. He was great.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
So I mean when we get ready to go in
the room, he already knows what type of room he's got.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
So who's do you.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Get to get away? Or you kind of like, you know,
strung here because of having to come in for REACB.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I'm not tired here cause of REACB.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
But I I I I do feel like, you know,
I'll tell my teammates to be out there when we're
gona to take the field in September.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
So I'll I'll be here. Who's the funniest the funniest
you said, y'all start every day with jokes.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
I'm not gonna lie shot shot hands down? Really Yeah,
he be trying to.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Act like he quiet in front of y'all. That is
not him.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
He intentionally funny or unintentionally.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Oh, he got jokes. He got jokes. It's intentional every time.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
It's is there a trip you're giving up to to
do this or you you still gonna sneak away from No?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I got.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
My little girls coming o supposedly July twenty eighth, so like,
you know, we kind of home bound right now anyway,
so we'll be here.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Are you wanna see that? Huh? Are you said that? Brace?

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I weren't in college, so I'm it's been it's been
a it's been a process, but I mean it's just
really just trying to keep the need from going places
you shouldn't. So hopefully I'll get a chance to play
without it. But I mean if I do, and then
I've I've already done it.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Last being around like you were kind of odd hours
did did did it offer you an opportunity to kind of.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
See big picture like.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
What Dave and Dan and brand and kind of what
they were trying.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
To piece together? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I mean I think from even when I saw my
contract last year to like, you know, understand what was
going forward, what was gonna happen going forward, Like you know,
it was one of those things where like, you know,
I wanna build something special, and you know I told
him from.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
The beginning, I wanna be a partner to put a
long run.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
So you know, just to see that kind of the
picture coming to happen right coming into play right now,
it's one of those things that like, you know, like
it just makes me even more excited to just get
back to Dave told us that the interior defensive line
is the strength of this team out here during this
mini camp. Talked about kind of the fun dynamic in
the room.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
What have you seen coming together the so far?

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Uh? I mean they compete, right, so, like every single
day you come out here to compete, you know, whether
it's Cam the rookie, or it's Turk. I mean it
I it's guys that you know, they wanna play ball
at high level. You know, Cam, Jared. They're learning, but
I mean you got g guys in the room.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
That can teach 'em. So, I mean, I think that's
the biggest thing right now.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Y you mentioned that that's until reps and and the
Walkers being able to just be in that helmet or
does that with all the turnover.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
All this tame out.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Uh, you know, always a always with the defense.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
You know, it's always moving part.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
So even when you know, when Ian stalls, to be
able to come out here and walk through those things
and just be able to get those physical reps, you know,
it's super important to me.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
So I mean just being able to.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Be be be back out there with the team, go
through that and make the checks, you know, make my
mistakes and do it you know, during the walk through
here and then just you know, I feel like when
we get a camp, hopefully be able to you know,
jump in there immediately, but probably not. But uh, it's
gonna be one of those things where you know, I
gotta make mistakes before I get back to where I
was four four
