Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hope on further review.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Without him leaving. Obviously you had experience with him out
out of the offense a few weeks last year. How
much did that his prep with you and then you
getting that time help you kind of ascend to your
role that you currently have now.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Yeah, I mean I think the time I spent with
him was invaluable. You know, you know, similar backgrounds, you know,
able to kind of relate to a lot of different
things that some other guys might not be able to
just because of our story of how he got here.
So yeah, I mean just his his guidance and you know,
just him building my confidence and just kind of helping
me throughout the way was Yeah, invaluable.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
He kind of rived at the slot in the Z position.
Do you think you can have comparable success in this
offense at those spots?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Yeah? I mean I'm just going to be myself out there.
So I mean, I'm just going to continue to play
my brand of football and if that means that I'm
at the Z or the F or whatever that means,
I'm going to do my best to you know, make plays.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
What about have you guys talked as a group now
you X team act, It's kind of like the young
guys taken over here and that time Bryce mentioned opportunities
for you guys. Have you talked about that and going
from there?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, I mean it's it's absolutely an opportunity. You know,
I'm confident in our group and you know, I really love,
you know, working with these guys every day. So I'm
not you know, it's gonna take all of us, but
we're going to continue to work hard and you know,
make plays.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Obviously Adam had a special chemistry with with Bryce, but
it seems like you do too.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
When did you see that first start to development.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Where do you think that is now?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Yeah, I mean I think we've got I think we've
got great chemistry. I think just me being in the
spot he wants me to be in, me catching the
football forum definitely helps bread that you know, that good
chemistry and that trust. So just continuing to do that
is going to be my main goal. Just I've seen
it throughout the season, just as you know the season
went on. You know, I just continue to catch the
ball and you know that just build trust between quarterback

(02:07):
or receiver.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
You got another guy in the room with a similar
story in Bryce, and obviously Carbon not a role. You
know what special teams is an undrafted guy, what's the
all relationship? Like, what's impressed you the most about him
is he's been able to make it all the fifty
three and you know, get out of the role that way.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, really good dude. I was able to train with
him this offseason, so we got to know each other
a little bit there too. He's from the Commanders as well,
so that's where you know, I was born and raised
in Leesburg, Virginia, which is right down the street. So
we had some things to share. And he's a really
good dude, and I'm glad that he's in our room
as well. Just another guy to learn from and you know,
just grow with you guys get.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
To add to the room. Like playing with the wide
receiver off waivers, they're supposedly going to bring in another
person as well, wide receiver. When you guys have a
new guy into your room, how well, like, how do
you guys kind of ingratiate that guy into the room.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, I mean, I think just like any any team,
you know, you you just got to get to know him,
you know. And that's not only on the football field,
but that's off the field and you know, just kind
of it's going to be slow because it's a new
new system, new everything. So you know, you don't want
to at least for me personally, I'm not gonna like
bombard anyone with questions or anything. But you know, just
kind of as the season rolls on and as the
you know, practices go, you know, you kind of just

(03:17):
slowly start to figure people out and you know, build
a relationship that way.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Adam have any parting words for you guys?

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Oh yeah, I mean he was just he's really proud
of us, and he's excited for us. You know, it's
just gonna be ah, you know, he's obviously upset and everything,
but he's really excited for us and wants us to
do well this year. He indicat he really wanted to
go back to mother. I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
How about just I mean people the one flip side
of this, people like well, you know, will this hurd
Bryce's development going into year three without a veteran guy
like that? How do you respond to that sort of time?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
All I can do is control what I can. So,
I mean, that's going to just be out that's going
to be being out there, catching the ball and making plays.
And that goes for x t Mac, you know, Bryce
and Demo, every Jimmy, everyone else in the room. So
it's just gonna everyone's gonna have to continue to make
plays and just you know be there.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
For him, like a lot of the attention because the
pro bowler and his profile around the league. But David
Moore has kind of taken on a leadership role with
you guys too. How much has he impacted the room
over the last couple of years.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Absolutely. I think Demo is just a He's an easy
guy to talk to. You know, you have any questions,
you know, any help that you need, He's always there,
just a just a listening year that you know, is
always available whenever you need him. So I think he's
just invaluable to us in our.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Room leadership and you and Xavier in your second years,
you guys have quickly become kind of the bets in
that room.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Do you see yourself stepping in kind of a leadership
role now heading.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Into this year.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah, I mean I think it's going to take all
of us to kind of step into that role. You know,
I'm not going to say that I've figured it all
out I still have a ton to learn, you know,
I still try to be a sponge and just continue
to soak in all the information I can, and you know,
learning from guys like you know, Adam Hunter, you know
those guys, you know, just continue to take pieces from
them and learn how they you know, go about the game,
go about their work outside of the field with you know,

(05:15):
rehab and all those things. I continue to just try
to learn and you know, emulate that stuff that they
did really well.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
How much the yeah, I know you you played specifically
on special teams in that they're game. How much did
that kind of help you and how much did you
kind of need maybe those reps heading into the season.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, I mean, I think any way I can help
the team is I'm all in on it. So if
that mean special teams receiver doesn't matter. So I didn't
get a lot of reps at it, you know, through
the offseason, through the preseason, I mean, and then to
go in there and you know, get those live reps
definitely helped. And you know, any way that I can
be available for the team.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
If you're in the top three, though, will you have
to play teams.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Whatever they need me to do?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Hunter over the last like twenty four hours just to
talk to I mean he duck cut obviously, but just
to see where he was at.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, I've talked to him, you know Again, it's kind
of like he's just he's proud of us and happy
for our room and just wants us to, you know,
be really successful.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
You guys made that transition yet to where starting to
put in game plan for Jacksonville And what's that been
like if you've done it?

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Yeah, absolutely in our room, especially going over there, you know, safeties, corners,
you know what to look for, their tendencies. It's definitely
been something that we've been going over
