Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yil. What's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Welcome to the Vikings postgame report with Pete Versage on
Paul Allen. This is powered by Luhman from lumen Field,
where the Minnesota Vikings were shut out for the first
time since two thousand and seven. Sam Donald and the
Seattle Seahawks beat them twenty six zero. Mister analyst, your.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Thoughts, Yeah, I mean a debut for Brozemer, hopefully he
learned a lot for interceptions. Is not obviously not the
way you want to start it, but just a bizarre
type of a game. I mean, the defense, I think
is what's going to be overlooked at least people who
like to look at box scores and zoom over it.
But you take a look at what they did with

(00:55):
Sam Donald told him to a sixty seven point five rating,
Jackson's and jigb two catches twenty three yards and they
did a wonderful job against the main weapons of this
Seattle offense. We just there was just no support. There
was just nothing else. Dallas Turner getting two sacks today,
one force fumble, what does that turn into? Well, ends

(01:15):
up turning into an interception for a touchdown for the
Seattle Seahawks. So defensively, you did everything you possibly could
I believe in this game, minus a couple of mistackles,
just offensively. Down two linemen, you end up down three
by the end of the game. Right, Just not a
whole lot of momentum there at all.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Well, the as Pete said, the Minnesota Vikings defense, you know,
before Zach Sharbonet ran in from seventeen in the second half,
had done it played its best game of the season.
Quite honestly, it's your four and seven, you're on the road.
You got Eric Wilson. Well, Sam Darnold had been sacked
eleven times into the game, and that is the fewest

(01:55):
of anybody in the NFL. Dallas Turner got him twice,
Wilson got him. They sacked him four times, and Sam
clearly was flustered. But you know, Brosmer, the undrafted quarterback
from the University of Minnesota, kind of turned the momentum
single handedly in the first half when on a fourth
and short inside the ten, he's going to be sacked

(02:15):
by DeMarcus Lawrence, And as the analyst would say, instead
of making discretion the better part of valor, he made
valor the better part of discretion, and as he was
going down, he threw a sidearm pass intercepted by Ernest Jones.
The fourth he goes eighty five for the first touchdown
of his career. He eventually had another interception. He has

(02:35):
five on the season. And you know, Brosemer definitely needed
the start, depending on what happens next game against Washington,
whether McCarthy's ready to play or not, so he needed
the effort. But still it was just a tough, tough,
tough road to hoe for Max Broseman. Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
I mean, it's baptism under fire, right, He's getting his
first start against the defense that's played eleven games already.
So yeah, in one of the better, one of the
better teams that getting at for the quarterback. You're down
a couple offensive line. I mean, you know, you can
go on and on and on and right, you know,
and I guess the frustrating part too, is is just
you know, some of the penalties keep, especially on special teams. Right,

(03:14):
you got all these little mistakes that have to be fixed.
We have a quarterback position has to be figured out.
But at the same time, these little mistakes that you're
making on special teams, those can come back to haunt you,
you know, and then now your focus gets bigger and
you're sitting there and you're like, okay, Justin Jefferson, you know,
not not a great day. Not a stellar day for

(03:35):
him either, And you know, or justin that two catches
for four yards, all right, I mean one of them
was for minus four uh, and just I mean not
it's not a great day overall. I mean earlier on
had you know, uh, Jordan Andison come down with that catch,
that Brozemer through the pass, that Brozeman through him and
off his fingertips, and maybe it's a different game. Maybe

(03:56):
it's a different you know, start for Brozemer. I thought
Rosmer looked fine. The game didn't look too big for him.
I thought he was reading things just a little bit
too quickly early, getting the ball out before receivers were
in their breaks.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
So overall, I mean, I'm kind of I'm encouraged by
how Max looked. Right for an undrafted rookie free agent
to start his first game here in a place that
we know is very very tough to win.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Tenets.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah, against a top five defense, Paul, top five. We're
not talking about an average defense. We're talking about a
very very good defense. I can't be mad at the kid.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Let's hear from undoubtedly Sadden to Minnesota Vikings head coach
Kevin O'Connell a.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Couple of injury updates here in a second. But you know,
just in no way, shape or form can we play
offensive football like that and try to and try to
win at a place like this. I did think our
defense played a played as well as they could considering
the amount of lift that they had to do today.

(05:00):
Forced the seven negatives in a takeaway, you know thought,
you know, we had some moments in the kicking game
field position wise, we just did not, you know, have
a type of an offensive performance that is ever going
to be acceptable, you know at the Minnesota Vikings organization,
and that obviously starts with me, and it's not about
any one particular player or position. It's a collective group

(05:23):
thing right now where we just are not good enough
and to overcome some of the things that we're doing,
overcoming some injuries upfront and overcoming some of the things
that are happening, we've got to find a way to
put the game plan together as simple as it needs
to be or as tight as it needs to be.
From a play count standpoint, just to get a little

(05:43):
bit better execution and get some of the things that
winning football looks like and try to play our part
offensively with the other two phases on our team. Ryan
Kelly had a hip flexer. He did not return to
the game when he when he came out. Aaron Jones,
you know, aggravated his shoulder a little bit.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
He's going to be evaluated.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Josh Mittelis and Jonathan Gunnard didn't finish the last drive.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
But no, uh, no injury. Uh.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Those guys had been dealing with some things, but they
was not injury related. And George Jordan Mason, you saw
him go down there late later in the game.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
He evaluate, was evaluated and returned.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
So really Kelly and Jones would be the names that
will will be evaluating here.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Given why, I mean.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
To the best as you can see today at least.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Why was the offense so forth? Well, I think early
on in the game.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
You know, we had we had our struggles running the
football to try to stay efficient. We had some screens
and some kind of plays that kept us in manageable
d and ds, and and then you know some places
where I thought early on Max was you know, honestly,
maybe processing too quickly. There were some moments there where
he was getting back to some things where we had

(07:00):
some explosive chances for either Jordan on a backside and
cut catch and run, or even on some of the
third downs where you know, he just a little sped
up like a normal young player can be in his
first start, and and we just never could really make
that one or two or three in a row kind
of play. And then when we did move it, you know,

(07:22):
we weren't able to sustain it long enough to get
in the end zone. And then obviously the low red
zone play there on fourth down when totally flips on,
you know, getting it, getting the turnover we've been so
desperately waiting for and our defense does that, and then
that sequence ends with them getting seven points.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Is is losing football? Trying to get done there.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, it was uh, you know, it was a little
it was a little over, you know, a little thought
we might have had a little bit better spot on
the third down play where Addison caught the ball and
ends up being a little bit one one plus whatever
it ended up being. We had struggled to run it
up until that point, you know, at the point attack
and things like that. So I wanted to try to

(08:02):
see if we can get Max out on the perimeter
with a you know, kind of a run pass option,
and they ended up kind of having a looping player
kind of in his face right away, and you know,
fourth down, he's trying to make a play and and
just ends up you know, being you know, obviously catastrophically
bad because you know, one of the reasons why you
go for that in that moment is even if you

(08:23):
don't get at the field, position is going to be
on your side with a defense playing really well. So
you know, got to call a better play there, got
to you know, decide the best option for us to
try to limit that ever being the outcome in that scenario,
but also give us a chance to score because we
knew we'd have to score some points to to win

(08:46):
the game and to try to capture the momentum off
that turnover with seven, what I thought was critical, you know, quick,
critical sequence to try to have a chance to win it.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
In general with those third and fourth third and short
fourth and short type plays where you.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Guys do throw it as much as you do.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, you know, Ben, we've we we have run it.
We we we have run it as you know much
as we've you know, I know that's been a well
documented thing. But I just got to call a better
play there, and it's all going to be results based,
and that was about as bad a result as you can.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Have on that sequence.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
And like I said, you know, early on in the game,
it was it was a struggle. I think, you know,
I think we were under ten yards, you know, close
to our first ten or so attempts and just kind
of trying to find that yard with a physical front,
and uh, you know, it felt like a chance to
maybe have an opportunity to try to get the quarterback
out on the edge, not drop back pass or anything

(09:41):
in that situation, or you know, see if we can
have multiple options besides just seeing.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
If we can hammer it up in there.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Felt like it was the best option for us at
the time, but obviously it was not a good option.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Going back to the second half or last who does
it feel like the offense is pressing right now?

Speaker 4 (09:58):
It just feels like between some of these throws and
potential throwing catches that we're just not getting, you know,
whether it's location, timing, rhythm, it does there's no question
we're pressing. Guys want to make those plays. Guys want to.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Make the throws.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
You know, we've we've got to do a better job
early on in games, you know, where it's really not
there's no excuse to be made. We get a third
and manageable when we're moving it for third and three
or four whatever it was, and you know, gonna have
a chance for Oliver on a play we've early on
in the year. We we we had success with scored
on a very similar D and D a little tighter

(10:38):
down and against Cincinnati, but have the same coverage, same look,
same everything, and we we give up a you know,
an immediate sack there that for a young quarterback can
have an impact and maybe speed up, you know, the
next few sequences of drives and it all is connected.
But yeah, we're I know how hard and how hard
our guys are preparing and trying, and and uh, we

(11:01):
just can't quite seem to catch the rhythm of positive
plays with all eleven guys executing right now. And that's
guys maybe trying to do too much. Maybe we've got
to try to limit what we're what we're asking into
the group as a whole, especially with some different guys
stepping into the lineup, just to try to get some
more consistency at the very least, to try to give

(11:21):
ourselves a better chance.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Every role place is a hostile environment, but this was unique.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yeah, how do you think that's kind of healthy and normity.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Of trying to Yeah, I mean he you know, pre snap,
he made a couple I can think back to, uh,
you know, there was a couple early down kind of
they were sending some sending some pressures which you kind
of come in here knowing between their defensive scheme and
and that Mike has which she does a great job
with it, but also a young quarterback that they're going
to try to activate some of those things. He got

(11:52):
the play, made the adjustment to the play, slid right
into the pressure and and just get sped up a
little bit. And Jordan's on kind of a a backside read,
which we knew would probably be the primary on that play,
and he just gets sped up and throws it just
a hair early, going to the right place, doing all
the right things, just you know, could fall in in

(12:12):
alignment with a young guy that we wanted to allow
him to you know, function in our offense.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Because he showed the ability to.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
But yeah, it's a tough ask obviously, And I thought
from a procedural standpoint, running the huddle and making some
of the calls that he did, and we tried to
take as much of that off his plate as possible.
I thought he was functioning at a high level. It really,
like I said, I mean, we'll go back and watch
it and spend the time with him going.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Through it, you know, on a deep dive.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
But if anything, it was him playing quickly and processing.
I mean, he was getting back to his checkdowns. He
was getting to Aaron Jones on the backside of you know,
some progressions early on, just putting in playing and kind
of checking a lot of boxes where hopefully you can
get him settled in and then he starts kind of
finding that rhythm and timing to be you know, in
alignment with the concept called ineligibles, might be open.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
To deal with that issue than the other the hops.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
The end of that, you're always say, you know, I
you know, That's what I told him after the game
is this is great experience for him. It won't get
harder than going to Seattle for your first start against
that defense, and he's such a competitor and wants to
uh once to obviously come out here and lead this
team to a win. But I told him that's great

(13:28):
experience and unbelievable learning op knowing what it felt like,
knowing you know, how you were, you know seeing it,
and maybe you know even able to as you get
maybe more experience, which Max is going to play a
long time in this league, you'll start to be able
to the game will slow down a little bit, even
though he is what we believe.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
To be a fast processor.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Kevin, is it just coaching to get guys to slow
on the younger or is it a matter of the rest.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
I think it's I think it's reps and it's it's
also you know, you think back on a couple of
those plays and they seem they seem very much long ago.
When you're when you see the score kind of get
to where it is and we don't end up scoring
on the day, you know, you you forget about those plays,
you know, early on in the first or second quarter
where you know you're all you're all Those plays matter

(14:14):
for a young quarterback of very much like seeing the
ball go through the net and and when you're going
to the right guy, and maybe it's just a click
early or you get moved off the spot with an
NFL kind of pocket, and all those things can have
an effect, just like the positive effect of you know,
those those plays being thrown and caught and maybe a
catch and run and we get our playmakers involved. And

(14:36):
and then I thought he made some nice plays too.
It's tj up the seam and making some nice checkdown
throws on some play actions where we're trying to be
a little bit more explosive today. And and uh, you know,
he he was.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
You know, we were moving the ball.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
At times without a very consistent run game. We got
to go in a little bit later on in the game,
but just it was a tough ask and and and
probably needed just a little bit more eleven, you know,
guys doing their job and playing with a little more
physicality up front early to try to set the tone
for how we wanted to play. And I thought, you know,
it took us a little bit too long to get

(15:10):
some of those functioning early down plays to just stay
efficient and try to you know, once again, I think
we had a few too many third and ten pluses
where whether it's a penalty or if it's a negative run.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Those are hard. Those are tough for us right now.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
And you know, we're not going to just dive into
the world of you know, continuing to just throw the
ball over and over again. We're gonna try to see
if we can manage it with some ball out play
screen game or trying to stack some runs to get
back to manageable if we cansion he is as of
right now, but that's that's uh. You know, we'll see

(15:44):
how he does tomorrow. You know, our goal is to
he clears and he can have a good week of
practice and.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Have an opportunity to play next week.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
And the last thing I'm at Adam feeling the business
was at a healthy scratch. Yeah, it was coaching kind of.
I just file it under a coach's decision. Looking at
where we're at at some other positions.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Around our roster.

Speaker 4 (16:05):
You know, you're you're you're just trying to do what
you think is best to win and and make sure
you've got some depth that at some other spots where
guys we're dealing with some things, and that receiver positions
one that has you know, stayed pretty remarkably healthy this.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
Year Christian Das to being able to go today.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah, I think it was. I think it was close.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
You know, it was just a combination of the ankle,
some discomfort there, and then just kind of the we're
still you know, we're still in a world where you know,
his his knee is something that he's working through every week.
I think he's obviously such an important impactful player to
our to our offense that we're we're always going to
try to get him out there, and and c D

(16:48):
wants to be out there.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
He just couldn't quite get there to play today.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
And and you know, having Donovan out as well just
starts dipping into, you know, some things, Ryan Kelly eventually
going out, and we had some guys step in there,
and we'll take a look at it this week and
hopefully get him back and hopefully get the best five.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
We can to go, you know, go back home and
try to win a game this week.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
You know, I said it at the end of the
broadcast on KFAM is Sam is Brian Flores Defense. They
won myriad battles against Sam Darnold today, but overall everybody
lost the war because they lost the game twenty six
to zero. And you know, it's just it's like, you know,
I've seen this movie. I know how it's going to end.

(17:32):
If somebody wants to use that cliche where the Vikings
got destroyed in the time of possession because they couldn't
hold the ball long enough, like against Green Bay, like
against Chicago, like against Baltimore. Third down was bad. That
was a common thread during the three game losing streak,
now four game losing streak. But you know this, I
said on the nine to noon show on the Flagship.

(17:54):
During the course of the week, when you know you're
not going to be a playoff team with three major
holidays in front of you, Thanksgiving, Christmas, in New Year's Day,
these become human nature games and and what I mean
is the last thing people want to do is have
to rehab injuries in the offseason when you're not going
to the playoffs. Well, from a Vikings defensive standpoint, I mean,

(18:15):
especially Dallas Turner, Blake Cashman, Eric Wilson, Andrew Van Ginkel,
Jonathan Grenard, those guys, Jalen Redmond, they played their tails
off for a long time too. It just they couldn't
get any offense going.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
No, You're absolutely right, and you know Seattle gets their
eighth game in a row now with one hundred yards rushing. Wow,
which to your point though, Paul, it's that's that's not
the story. The story is that they that's all they
could do and they got you know, they had four
added possessions with the turnovers, so it was almost like
they're in a four minute offense from the middle of

(18:50):
the third quarter. So giving up one hundred yards in
the ground, yeah, it's it's good for the stat.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Box and everything.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
But overall, I mean the Viking defense, like you said,
they just to have some pride. At some point pride
takes over right well, and and the thing is too
about the whole offseason an injury. You got to play
the game one hundred miles an hour. You get hurt
when you slow down, You get hurt when you start
taking plays off or you know, not not hustling to
the football. But man, am I encouraged by guys like

(19:16):
Eric Wilson because he playing and he's playing outside linebacker,
inside linebacker. The development of Dallas Turner. I think I
think Byron Murphy played very very well today. Isaiah Rodgers,
outside of some tackling mishaps, I thought he played, He
played well. So there's so many good things on that
side of the ball, right, you know, it's it's encouraging
and we're gonna need that if we're going to get

(19:38):
either J. J. McCarthy or Max Brosmer into the winner
circle by the end of the season.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
All right, let's hear from the aforementioned Max Brosmer, who
had this to say following a twenty six zero loss
to Seattle.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Tough day to day, it was c NFL man, it's
it's it's tough. And you know, I thought, you know,
give give credits defense and got some great playmakers over there,
are great scheme. I thought that had a great plan
for us, and you know, we didn't make the plays
where we should have. And I thought our defense did
a good job of holding us in the game from
was already the game there, and you know, we didn't.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
Capitalize the moments we should have.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
And it' stuff to go and try and win games
and we can't keep the ball in our hands and
ultimately take credit for that, and we got to be better.
So questions actually take us through the big six.

Speaker 6 (20:26):
Yeah, it's tough. You know, it's I love play call.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
I thought, you know, he put us in the best
situation to let our playmakers make plays and and ultimately.

Speaker 6 (20:37):
The defense stiffled out.

Speaker 5 (20:38):
They did a good job of getting me quick and
you know, ultimately the ten or twelve yards that you know,
they know it's fourth to one right and it's either
make a play or eat it, and they get you know,
the twelve yards that I give up on the run
back they have to get back on offense, right if
I threw the ball out and they'd start twelve yards
back from where the ball was. And ultimately I made
a bad decision with the football and it cost us

(20:58):
heavy and early the game like that, when you're giving
energy the other team like that, you know, it's tough
and we got to do a better job. You know,
we specifically have keeping the ball in our hands.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
You're as you're rolling out there, what are your options in.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Theory in terms of typical typical boot play, you have
you know your flat, you're over, and you know your
high part, your high component of of you know your
boot play. And that's that's typical for most most of
your boots and naked and they did a good job Covernant,
and but again that's my responsibility to take her of
the football and not my responsibility to make trying to

(21:30):
make something happen when when it's not there, and you know,
I got to do better job keep the ball in
our hands and getting ready for the next drive. It's
just from a speed of the game perspect is like,
did you feel like you were going through your resil
on time too fat?

Speaker 1 (21:43):
How did you feel? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (21:46):
You know, I think, you know, I'll go back and
watch the film a little bit, and I feel like
I was maybe half a click fast to the reason.
You know, I feel like that's feeling the flow of
the game, feeling the fow of the pocket, feeling the
flow of of conceptually what's how in down the field?

Speaker 6 (22:01):
And you know, I I.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Got to a couple couple of routes too quickly today
and we could have had some bigger hits on those completions.
But you know, throwing the ball, you know, half a
second too early sometimes and sometimes you can make those
throws if you anticipate well, and but there's there's a
very small gap where if you throw it too early,
it's not going to be you know's there's no chance
to complete it. But you know, that's a learning moment

(22:24):
from me and something that I'll continue to grow on
from there and use it as an experience for you know,
for the next time.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Six it looked like CJ is coming in front of
either is that just a play fake or.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Did you have an option out there?

Speaker 6 (22:35):
No, no handoff.

Speaker 5 (22:36):
No, it's it's a you know, typical you know, it's
called like power pass the NFL.

Speaker 6 (22:41):
You're full slide and cut the end and go.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
But again it's it's a tough It was a tough
play and you know it happens and you have to
eat it and move on from it.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
But learn from most importantly is you know.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Next time that situation comes up is don't put the
ball in harm's way and just take what take what
they give you.

Speaker 6 (22:58):
And in that moment, it was take the sack and
don't rak the ball.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
A lot of your defensive teammates you're saying that they
despite the fact when you turned it over the first.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Time, you still kind of came back, and so that
resilience to do so in this environment against one of
the really good teams this year in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
What have they said to you briefly after this, but
how do you conducted.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
Yourself in your first start.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
Yeah, I mean, I just would credit the entire locker
room here. I think our locker room here is very
very special. And the ability to stay together after a
tough loss and tough plays, tough drives, it's really hard
to do in the NFL. It's hard to do in college,
but in the NFL, it's really hard to do. And
that's one of our team super powers. And I felt
their love, I felt their support.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
And they don't have to do that, Like.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
They could just let me be and move on with
their next drive or after the game for the next game.

Speaker 6 (23:54):
But they don't do that. And our team doesn't do that.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
And you feel a support here, and whether you play
with or had a tough day, you're gonna get the
same support and same love for the rest of the team.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
When you're going through it, you feel like you're split
up in the reads.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
What's the key to kind of getting back and timing there?

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Yeah, you know, it's it's difficult to make that adjustment.
Maybe maybe maybe it's a you know, a really focused
second half or focused second quarter maybe adjustment that.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
You make through.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
And I think, honestly it comes from experience, and I
think that, you know, I could have done a better
job maybe of you know, through the rest of the
game noticing that quicker maybe and trying to slow myself
down a little more. And you know, I I brought
myself on trying to get the ball out, you know
and tell me fashion, but sometimes when it's too fast,

(24:42):
the rest of the concept doesn't develop the way it's
supposed to. And schrammatically speaking, we had some great, great
concepts today that ended up opening up pretty well. And
whether it was a tick too fast getting there or
move the spot to try to get there quicker, like
it's it's something you have to learn and go through.
And you know, I've definitely used today as an experience
to you know and learning moment to get better from there.

(25:03):
And I'll be able to look back on some of
the plays today and be like, I know I was
too fast here, and I'll slow myself down. Maybe I
have to click slower next time to get that completion
in terms.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Of quarterbacks easier than to learn how to slow down
then have to speed that up progression wise.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Yeah, I mean I would argue that I think, you know,
I think it just depends on you know, how you're
how you're processing through the through the reads. I think
when you have some really talented playmakers here with Justin
and Jay and Jalen, who are who seem like the
fastest guys in the entire world, you feel sped up.
Maybe I have to get this ball out fast these

(25:41):
guys because they're going to make the play. And in reality,
you can, you know, you can take a breath for
a second because they're they're going to get to the
right spot at the right time and trusting that they
know the timing just as well as you do. And
you know, again, that's something that I'll learn from from
this moment and and some of these plays today and
go I'll go watch the film.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
These guys that watch the film, and we'll get better
from today.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Max. What was your communication like with Kevin throughout the team.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Yeah, that's one thing that I think that he does
a really good job of. And whether it's a again
a tough day or a really really solid day for
the offense and the team in general, he's the same
guy the entire game, and you know, maybe it's you know,
he he comes after a tough play that I had
and like coaches me up right away, which I'd like
I'm all eagers too, because I just want to get better.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
And you know, him giving.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Those coaching coaching lessons and those those points of emphasis
throughout the game are really important. And you know, and
the Mike, he's the same guy with the same intonation
of the same you know, vocal tone the rest of
the whole game, which is really great for a quarterback
to keep everybody even Keel, Is there anything.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
You said today or a little bent you had with
him that's gonna stick with you?

Speaker 5 (26:48):
Yeah? Yeah, I think you know we've we had a
good conversation at the game, and that's something that you'll
keep between us.

Speaker 6 (26:54):
And again you talk.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
We talk about how this team stays together, and that
doesn't happen unless it's top down and from from Quasi,
from Ko, the rest of the team. That's that's an
emphasis from the top down. And I felt that talking
with him after the game, and there's I'm always open
to getting coach. I want hard coaching, and he does
that well. But he also loves up on you and

(27:19):
supports you when you need it. And there's a good
balance to both. And he's a really good example of
what that looks like of tough coaching and support, and
I really appreciate that from him, and you know what
he's done for the team from that.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
From that regard, well, Brozmer played today because JJ McCarthy
had a concussion off the Green Bay game. No idea
who the next quarterback will be. The Vikings come home
next week to play Washington as a four in eight operation.
Your thoughts into.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
That, Well, yeah, Washington, I think ye, They're all about
what they're going to do a quarterback, and I believe
there's will be healthy. It might be back, of course,
we'll see. Uh yeah. Perfect timing is everything in this league. Again,
with the way this defense is playing, I think we'll
we'll have a shot. We'll be in the game. We
just can't again keep turning the football over. But for Brozemer,

(28:10):
like I said before, I think this is he looked okay.
I mean yeah, he made a lot of mistakes, but
the day the game didn't look too big for him, right,
He didn't look like he was outclassed, like he didn't
belong in that regard. So for an undrafted free agent
number four on the depth chart going into training camp
to come out and start a game and do what

(28:30):
he did I mean that's you know, hat tip to him. Man,
that's a lot of It takes a lot of courage
to do that.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Well.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
