Rachel Fairburn has a lifelong passion: the supernatural. She’s read the stories, seen the horror movies, and been ignored by the iconic ghost hunters, it’s time to really live the supernatural. In this limited series podcast, Ghoul Guide, Rachel will meet people who tell her the spookiest stories connected to a location; and then she’ll spend the night in those haunted places. The twist is - only one of the spooky stories is really local folklore, and the other two are scripted inventions by some of Britain’s best horror writers - and it’s down to Rachel and (the audience) to pick which is the real story out of the three chilling tales as the sun rises.

In each episode, Rachel visits famously haunted areas of the UK.
In each location she hears three spooky stories about hauntings in the area - only one of which is true.
And to work out which one it is - she spends the night alone, with just a duvet and a dictaphone to keep her from whatever lurks in the dark.

Rachel visits North Wales to spend the night in a haunted hotel. The hotel is a former castle, a place where prisoners were tortured, where countless violent acts occurred. Room 222 is so haunted that a porter is employed on 24 hour watch to move guests in emergencies.
