La Torontoise a vaincu son adversaire kazakh de 26 ans, Elena Rybakina, en trois manches de 1-6, 7-5 et 7-6.
Victoria Mboko est ainsi la plus jeune Canadienne à se rendre en finale dans l'histoire du tournoi.
