Le 23 décembre 1985, Ray Belknap et James Vance, deux jeunes hommes du Nevada, décident de s'enlever la vie. Vance survivra toutefois à sa tentative de suicide et affirmera, quelques jours plus tard, que c'est une chanson du groupe de métal britannique Judas Priest qui lui avait donné l'ordre de passer à l'acte.
