En juin 1984, Ricky Kasso, un ado de la banlieue de l'État de New York, assassine Gary Lauwers, un autre ado, alors qu'il est sous l'effet du LSD. Dans les médias, l'affaire sera hautement sensationnalisée en raison de la prédilection de Kasso pour la drogue, la musique métal et son supposé intérêt pour le satanisme. Kasso a-t-il offert Lauwers en sacrifice à Satan? Les deux témoins présents, Jimmy Troiano et Albert Quinones, des amis de Ricky, étaient beaucoup trop gelés pour répondre à nos questions.
