in front of Tiffany One, AceWilliams.

Tiffany Williams (00:50):
How are you today?
I'm doing better than desiredThanks for asking, greg.

Greg Jones (00:54):
You know, people say that what?
What does that mean to you?

Tiffany Williams (00:57):
To me it's a lot of people don't know my
history and the Lord has really, really been.
He has plans for me.
I'll put it like that.

Greg Jones (01:15):
Yeah, and most of y'all can't see the expression
that she made as she said thatyou have to go to our YouTube
page, but I can tell that whenyou said it, it stuck with me
better than you deserved.
Wow, tell us about you, ourlistening audience.
You know in some ways I knowthis, but they don't know that

(01:37):
you're famous, famous.

Tiffany Williams (01:40):
Man you're famous.

Greg Jones (01:42):
Tell us about Tiffany Williams, you're famous.

Tiffany Williams (01:44):
I've about Tiffany Williams.
You famous.
I've been involved with themusic industry for quite some
while, thanks to two greatmentors.
Rod and Reggie Mays over at RIMProductions introduced me to
Nitro.
Everybody knows Nitro now he'sfamous.
Everybody knows Nitro now he'sfamous.
And he tugged me under his wingand signed me.

(02:09):
I was signed with him and to amajor record label.
So I am the first female inOklahoma to sign to a major
record deal.

Greg Jones (02:22):
History, everybody.
History in the making.
Where is my?
I was going to say 8-track.
No, I ain't on your 8-tracks,no more.
Where's my 45?
Wow, that is awesome, congratulations, wow, that is
awesome.

Tiffany William (02:38):
Congratulations , that's a big deal it is.
You know, some people I don'tknow.
I'm just the type of personthat until somebody tells me
something, I don't reallyreflect on it.
Then I'll be like, oh dang, Iam that, you know.
But I started working withPerry Publishing and

(02:59):
Broadcasting.
I've been there for about alittle over 20 years and I help
manage some of the financial endof national and local clients
that we have, and that's fromAugusta, arkansas, tulsa,
oklahoma City about 10 radiostations.

(03:20):
Also, I had a talk show where Iinterviewed local artists in
Oklahoma on the station for abrief time, but in 2016, well,
no further than that, like 2005,I started 1HPR Marketing
Solutions, where I help artistsstrategically plan out album

(03:41):
releases are they singlereleases and execute those.
And you told me a while agolike hey, ace, you're leaving
money on the table.
So I moved forward with alsohelping small businesses forward
.
Also helping small businesses Idon't like to use the word

(04:01):
small Up and comingentrepreneurs with marketing and
PR for their companies as well.

Greg Jones (04:05):
Well, you're absolutely right.
I had the opportunity to spendsome time with Tiffany and just
talk through some of thebusiness practices.
You got a great and solidbusiness and, as I understand,
you're not only helping folkshere in Oklahoma but in other
states as well.

Tiffany Williams (04:19):
Yep, local and national.
Wow, I think that's incredible.

Greg Jones (04:23):
Obviously, our podcast is really geared for as
you mentioned I like that wordup and coming business owners,
existing business owners oraspiring business owners really
to share parts of your journey,uh, that you feel have been most
helpful along the way, and soI'm glad to we're going to be

(04:46):
inspired and encouraged aboutsome of the things that you have
to say.
What are those keys to yourjourney?

Tiffany Williams (04:52):
So my keys to my journey are really just a few
of the keys that are foundationto both my personal and my
professional life that are afoundation to both my personal
and my professional life.
First and foremost is prayercommitment and loyalty and

(05:13):
execution.

Greg Jones (05:13):
Okay, we got to start with that first one prayer
Prayer.
Tell me about this, tell meabout prayer.

Tiffany Williams (05:29):
Prayer, it's my go-to.
I know I was telling youearlier like it seems like the
good Lord answers like 90% of myprayers.
You know whether it turns outthe way I wanted it to or not.
You know, when it comes tobusiness and personal, it just
it gives me guidance.
When it comes to business andpersonal, it gives me guidance,

(05:50):
clarity and a peace of mind.
It also helped me focus andtrust the process right, and
that's whether it's the way Iplanned it or the way it just
doesn't come out the way I wantit to, but it still helps me be
thankful and I learn from theprocess.
But prayer is really thefoundation that starts off

(06:13):
anything.
That's what my morning with myclients.
To myself, I haven't prayedwith any clients, but I'll pray.
You know, is this the right fitfor me in the client?
Because I don't take on everyclient.
They have to fit into and Ihave to be able to provide for
them.
You know what I mean?
Because they're going to trustme and that leads me into like

(06:36):
commitment and loyalty right, which is my second key.

Greg Jones (06:41):
So prayer has been a key and you were sharing a
story with me before we talkedabout the podcast, Even through
some of the things you've donewithin your family you've seen
prayer work.
And I don't want to go theretoday because you said it.
But if people really knew mystory.

(07:02):
But it feels like you're comingfrom a place where, for this to
be the number one key, youreally have a story to tell.

Tiffany Williams (07:12):
I really do, like I really do, uh, friend, my
, my, uh comrades, always like, ace, you need a book, like you
really need to write a book.
But as I was growing up, I'veseen prayer work through my
grandmother and my mom prayingfor me, my sisters, and seeing

(07:37):
it work.
And I was telling you earlierabout one of my kinfolks, an
older person heavy in the church, heavy in the church, heavy in
the church, and I mentioned toher like, hey, I'm gonna be
praying, like, oh, your prayerseven do they connect, wait a
minute, do they, you know?

(07:58):
And that really had, um, I'veseen them work right.
So they have to work for me.
But what does it take for me tomake sure that they're going to
get answered?
I know they're not going to getanswered 100%, you know, but 90
times out of 100, the good Lordis always answering for me,

(08:18):
he's right there for me.

Greg Jones (08:19):
And I love the way you said that sometimes the
answer isn't always yes, itisn't always no, but there is an
answer.

Tiffany Williams (08:25):
Yeah.

Greg Jones (08:26):
And what I've learned.
You know, as we're talkingabout prayer, sometimes when I
don't get an answer yes or noI'm saying this I really believe
God's saying I trust you.
So, either whether you go leftor you go right, whether you do
it or you don't do it, I trustthat you're going to, so anyway
we're not trying to get into thechurch service right now, but

(08:46):
you mentioned prayer and I canunderstand why.
And I can tell why I love thefact that you actually utilize
that to pray about your clientswhether or not to accept a
client, because it sounds likeonce you're in, you're all in
all the way.

Tiffany Williams (09:04):
Yep, you're not going to give up people on
anybody and I appreciate thatabout what you're doing your
business.
Okay, let's talk aboutcommitment and loyalty yep,
that's where commitment andloyalty comes in, um, I'm
committed with my goals, with myclients, with my values, um,

(09:25):
and my clients with my valuesand loyalty.
That builds trust right andthat's the reason I believe that
my word of mouth marketing, Isay, my walking billboards is
word of mouth and it's helped mebuild long-term relationships
with a lot of clients, uh,personal and, you know,
professional um relationships soyou know, when I think about um

(09:53):
, when I think about what youtalk, about long-term commitment
and loyalty and we know that wedon't I know what has to happen
is consistency yeah you do whatyou say you're going to do, and
you do it over and over againand people, clients, friends,
true friendships really begin tobuild, because not only do you
have the commitment and loyalty, but you stay consistent.

(10:17):
And my word like my word.
If I tell you I'm going to dosomething, I try my my best to
do it.
I don't make any promisesanymore.
I don't make promises, but I dotry to over deliver when I say
I'm gonna do something wowthat's awesome okay, that takes
us to your third key.

Greg Jones (10:37):
What's your third key?

Tiffany Williams (10:38):
execution, execution okay, this is where
this is where the rubber meetsthe.

Greg Jones (10:43):
We can talk about it or we can do something about it
Right, talk about it or beabout it.

Tiffany Williams (10:51):
Being able to see your vision come to life, I
think that's the most rewardingPlanning it, foreseeing it,
dreaming about it and making ithappen.
Like I can pray all day, I canmake a commitment to someone, I

(11:11):
can be loyal, but results comefrom execution.
You know, no matter whateverthe obstacle is, you know plan
it, prioritize you.
You know you always telling meprobably got to make sure you
prioritize it and and figure itout.
You know, and I use communityto help me as well.

Greg Jones (11:31):
So I love that.
You know it's like starting arace and you can be at the start
line and we can have the enginegoing, but you've got to put
your foot on the pedal.

Tiffany Williams (11:43):
No facts, listen.
So I can't remember when I cameup with this, but I used to run
track in high school, right?
So I envision myself at thetrack, right the track and field
, and I'm at the starting line, right the gunshot, boom.
I'm running, right, I don'tjump hurdles, right, I don't run

(12:07):
, I just sprint, I run relay.
But all of a sudden, while I'mon this track, there's a hurdle
Like dang.
So I have to jump that hurdle,I have to overcome that hurdle
and I'm running and all of asudden here's another hurdle and
another hurdle.
Why is there hurdles when I'mjust running a relay, right, and

(12:28):
it's like those are thoseobstacles, right, but it's and
this is where my prayer andcommitment and loyalty comes in
and it's like as soon as it'slike dang, I don't know which
way to go.
I'm tired, I'm almost tired, about to run out of energy.
There's the good Lord rightthere at that line, waiting for

(12:49):
you to pass that baton Right, and it seems like every time I
just continue to push, he'sright there, like, hand it over
to me.
I see you tired, I got you, butyou can kind of still pace,
don't just stop.
You know, still pace, but I gotyou, you know, and that's that
I live by that a lot.

Greg Jones (13:11):
Wow, that's a great man.
That's a great analogy and thefact that used to be used to run
track as well.
They're going to be hurdlesthat come, but with prayer,
commitment, loyalty and the factthat you continue to execute,
there is a prize at the end andsometimes you always want to say

(13:31):
they want to finish first.
It's not about finishing first,it's about finishing.

Tiffany Williams (13:35):
Yeah, yeah.

Greg Jones (13:36):
And it sounds like that's what you do, not only in
your daily life, but also withyour clients.
Yeah, is there anything elsethat you want to share before we
start wrapping things up?

Tiffany Williams (13:48):
I just want to tell you thank you.
I appreciate coming and hangingout with greg t.

Greg Jones (13:58):
Most people don't know about the great tea, so let
me, let's let him in on thesecret okay um, she mentioned
earlier about perry publishing.
Broadcasting used to be an openmic show.
Uh, way back, fred elkins anduh, lana west and and uh, but
anyway, uh, fred said one timehe said we can't just call you
greg, my little initial is t, sowe got to call you greg t and

community that is trying to helpothers continue to get better.

(14:42):
Anything else that you want toleave as dropping dimes and
nuggets for us.

Oh, I am celebrating um owninga record label now.
So, um, a friend of mine outfrom atlanta, shout out to
strong.
He introduced me to um big philwith the legends group and um

(15:08):
work with him and he said she'sreally good, I need you on my
team, so why don't you start arecord label?
I stepped out on faith and therecord label is under Legends
Group, which is connected toSony Records, and I have a

(15:29):
distribution platform under theorchard.
