Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome to a winning
hunt, you guys.
I, yeah, I almost said finally, there is good news.
There will be good news in thisepisode.
Yay, Finally my schedule'sslowing down enough so that I
can go back to school, which nowstarts in October.
(00:27):
Because I couldn't geteverything organized to get
every single transcript done asa son in it into Grand Canyon
University, so I pushed it backto October 13th.
(00:48):
So that's fine, but as we recordthis on Sunday, september, well
, if I was the 13th, the 14th,the 15th, the 15th, I think I
(01:16):
get oh, geez, my BFF is, you'reabsolutely right.
I've been staring at it all dayand still can't get it right.
You guys, jeez, okay, the 14th.
Thank you, bff, for chiming inthere.
(01:38):
You should probably take overthis podcast at this point
because you're smarter than me.
So the 14th.
So I get to go down to onecaregiver on Monday.
So on Monday, the 15th ofSeptember, I get to go down to
(02:01):
one caregiver.
I could go down to onecaregiver and yay, yay, because,
yay, two caregivers.
Let's just say yay, how am Igoing to put this?
Do it for me halfway up thewall.
(02:22):
And I needed two caregiversuntil, even though I'm even
though having two people in thishouse throw me halfway up the
wall.
I'm very grateful to them and Iam very, very, very, very
(02:44):
grateful to them and peoplebehind the scenes who've worked
with me.
But I need one-on-onecaregiving.
That is just me.
That is just me.
That it doesn't mean Wynndoesn't do well with two people
(03:05):
and Wynn doesn't do well withtwo people to not being team
players because there's no INTand so I don't do well with.
I do better with one-on-one Idon't do well with.
I do better with one-on-one Idon't do.
(03:27):
I've always done better withone-on-one.
I don't do better with twopeople on top of me.
But that's the way it rolled, rolled and virtually when this
incident happened back in July, july 17th, it ended up being
(03:54):
that I sought my hip boys out,as I said, and then it ended up
being a whole big mess.
They sent me to a rehab thatgets five stars on paper the top
rating but yet they didn't doanything to help me.
(04:19):
I don't know.
I don't know whether theydidn't understand CP or whether
they didn't understand me andhow hard I wanted to work, but
yet they were too afraid to moveme.
And yet when I got pneumonia, itwas so funny and sad.
(04:43):
Sad and funny at the same time, because I go, owie, owie, as a
joke I think I said it as a jokeand they go.
Well, the PTs go.
We don't want to work with you,you have to see orthopedics.
And then they are looking at melike what to see orthopedics?
(05:10):
And then they are looking at melike what?
Yes, they literally said that, because I I said Ellie and they
took Ali as patient refuses PT.
No, I said patient just needsto move and Allie will be done.
Allie is a joke to the tensionin the room, but PTs took it to
(05:35):
the next extreme.
And then, once I get home, westart in-home PT, which has been
amazing because I'm gettingback to where I was.
(05:56):
Yes, it's taking a lot longerthan we all want it, but at
least I'm doing it.
And I landed up taking a showertoday, which that was a huge
success.
I've done that before.
So I'm slowly but surelygetting back to where I was.
(06:18):
But I needed my schedule tocalm down so I can add another
thing to my plate called school, and another thing to my plate
called another podcast, whichI'm doing slowly but surely.
And so I needed my life to calmdown so I can add another thing
(06:48):
to my plate.
For that to happen, I neededpeople to exit my life, not
necessarily exit my life in abad way, but just exit my life
(07:11):
so that I can get my life back.
I mean, jeez, two people atnight, two people during the day
.
I mean at one point it was athree-wing circus in this house.
Three-wing circus I mean, as Isaid, let the inmates running a
(07:35):
same asylum know, and it's like, can we just stop the three-wing
circus?
And the reason why thethree-wing circus happened is
because rehab did not set me upfor success going home.
They set me up for disaster.
(07:57):
I mean my aide and I tell thisstory publicly my aide didn't.
The driver left me in mykitchen without my aide.
(08:18):
My aide was two minutes behindme, mind you, and so the driver
left and so my aide had no help.
This was the first day home, mind you, and that's when the
three-wing circus started to allgo downhill.
(08:44):
Now it's going uphill and I waslike, keep it that way.
People Keep it going uphill.
We would like to keep it goinguphill, because uphill is better
than downhill.
No news is good news, as theysay.
No news is good news.
So I would like to keep itgoing uphill rather than
(09:09):
downhill and sideways.
I mean, at one point I saw itin rehab, I saw it was going.
One point I thought in rehab Ithought it was going to go
downhill and I thought it wasgoing to go downhill.
I didn't think I was going tosee home ever because my own
(09:32):
house, ever because I thought, okay, rocky slopes, I can't even
get into the wheelchair, letalone the shower chair, let
alone the shower chair.
And yes, I do have a splint, the dino splint, and I do wear
(09:56):
that.
That's happening this week aswell, and that's happening this
week.
And they want me to wear it sixhours.
I think on Monday we're going toI'm glad that I'm going.
I only have one caregiver here.
(10:16):
So I think on Monday we'regoing to start out with one hour
and do maybe two hours if Ifeel up to it, if my body feels
up to it, so yeah, so, otherthan that, well, I'm headed in
(10:39):
the upward direction.
I think Danielle is headed inthe upward direction of excited
to go on.
Disney Proves Lucky Ducky, yeah, yeah.
Well, lucky Ducky, let's justsay, friend, she's going with
(11:03):
loves, loves and still lovesMindy Mouse.
So that ought to be fun.
You, too, on the cruise and it'sgoing.
It's so when, as I said lastweek, and I repeat to you guys,
as I said last week, and Irepeat to you guys, don't bug
Danielle, because she's oncruise dancing with Mickey Mouse
(11:27):
, and probably dancing withMinnie Mouse too, and I'm stuck
living right here, I feel like Ihave trauma right now.
I feel like I'm missing outbecause I'm like Disney Cruise
sounds fun rather than lying inbed staring at the walls.
(11:47):
But that's what happens whenyour leg decides it's perhaps
underneath you.
Yeah, that's what happens whenyou decide to break your hip and
not do anything about it andthen your leg decides to
collapse underneath you.
But we're getting to the pointwhere I can move slowly but
(12:11):
surely again, and so it's allgoing to be good.
School starts in October.
It's all going to be good, going down to one caregiver,
which is great, and I'm going.
There's going to be a couplespecial surprises on this
(12:32):
podcast I'm working on.
I'm excited to go back toschool because it gives me
something to do, keeps me busy, and I'm just excited to jump
back into the classroom andfinally get my communications
degree and then be done withschool and then be done with,
(13:01):
have that communications degreeunderneath my belt, and I am
just so excited to go back toschool and so excited to get
winter started here in Arizona.
If you know Arizona, you guys, you know it's incredibly hot
(13:25):
here in the summer.
So winter is nice, winter isnicer than the summer, and so we
are looking forward to winter.
And no, it doesn't snow inPhoenix, so I'm happy not to see
snow, but I do miss it and Iwant to possibly do some
(13:50):
traveling after I get better,and we'll see.
My main focus right now is myhealth and school and getting
along with my age as best I can, although it's going to be an
interesting process going fromone can't give it to two, but
(14:12):
I'm lucky that I can do it.
So, and to say I'm partiallybed bound, that's not true,
because if I was fully bedboundI could not get up and take a
shower.
So there we go, and I had agood PC session on Thursday, so
(14:33):
I'm getting there.
It's just slowly but surely, slow and steady, wins the race,
and it's strong, steady winds, race here, and this is good news
and only one belt of pneumonia.
(14:55):
Hopefully no more of that, because that was scary and so,
yeah, no more of that.
Everything is going slowly butsurely, but smoothly, and I'm
still going to school, eventhough I got pushed back to
(15:19):
October, and yeah.
So that's the life update on meand, without further ado, I'm
going to let Ms Fond Hare leadus out.
Thank you for following us.
(15:39):
What she said, and maybe I'lldo it While she's dancing with
Mickey Mouse, maybe I'll do acouple solo episodes.
So, dance with Mickey Mouse,I'll do a couple solo episodes
to keep you guys updated on me.
So, while she's, and then whenshe gets back, she can explain
(16:02):
how fun dancing with MickeyMouse was.
Yeah, and tomorrow I am signingtherapy out.
(16:23):
What?
Yeah, you are a oh jeez, youare.
Yeah, okay, yes, I forgot, because, people, I'm on beta, so
she's excited because, as youknow, we should do Apple with CP
(16:50):
.
We should do Apple with CP as apodcast, because we're two
Apple girlies.
I'm sorry, we're not Androidgirlies, although I happen to be
nice to you, android people, because you, you listen to my
podcast, though I happen to beequally as nice to you and write
(17:13):
to people, but you and I aretwo Apple girlies and, yes, I'm
going back to school with aniPad and yeah, and if I need to
get a computer, I need to get acomputer, but we're going to try
the iPad and then, if itdoesn't work, I to get a
computer.
I need to get a computer, butwe're going to try the iPad and
then, if it doesn't work, I'llget a computer.
I'll figure it out.
(17:34):
But for those of you that don'tknow, danielle and I are Apple
band girls, and so she's allexcited that the new Apple toys
have come out, and she's allexcited that the new Apple toys
have come out, and she's allexcited that the new iOS has
come out, and so she'll beplaying with that.
(17:56):
I've already played with it andit's pretty cool.
So, yeah, yeah, apple Gurley's,make it Apple Gurley's.
It will always be Apple, teamApple all the way, and I have a
(18:18):
solo episode that I can do aboutTeam Apple when Danielle's gone
.
So you guys have to wait tohear that one.
So, and score and Team Apple.
So that's what she's allexcited about, but we're going
to let you guys go and I hope wecan see you guys next week.
(18:42):
Bye, you guys, have a greatweek.
Bye, bye.
