sleep in His peace. This is your time to unwind, to
let go, and to enter into God's presence with stillness and

scripture meditation, let's takea moment to quiet our hearts

Let's now rest in His word together as we journey through
Psalms Book 1. Psalms 1.

How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the
wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join a group of
mockers? Instead, his delight is in the
Lord's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.
He is like a tree planted besides streams of water that

bears its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers. The wicked are not like this.
Instead, they are like chaff that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not survive the judgement, and

sinners will not be in the community of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the
way of the wicked leads to ruin.Psalms 2.

Why do the nations rebel in the people's plot in vain?
The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers

speaks to them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath.
I have consecrated my king on Zion, my holy mountain.

You will break them with a rod of iron.

Zion. The nations have fallen into the
pit they made. Their foot is caught in the net
they have concealed. The Lord has revealed Himself.

despises the Lord. In all his scheming, the wicked
arrogantly thinks there is no accountability since God does
not exist. His ways are always secure.
Your lofty judgments are beyond His sight.
He scoffs at all his adversaries.

He says to himself, I will neverbe moved from generation to
generation without calamity. Cursing, deceit and violence
fill his mouth. Trouble and malice are under his
tongue. He waits and ambush near the

villages. He kills the innocent in secret
places. His eyes are on the lookout for
the helpless. He lurks in secret like a lion
in the thicket. He lurks in order to seize the
afflicted. He seizes the afflicted and
drags him in his net. So he is oppressed and beaten

down. The helpless fall because of his
strength. He says to himself, God has
forgotten. He hides his face and will never
see. Rise up, Lord God, lift up your
hand. Do not forget the afflicted.
Why has the wicked person despised God?
(22:15):
He says to himself, You will notdemand an account, but you
yourself have seen the trouble and grief, observing it in order
to make the matter into your hands.
But you yourself have seen trouble and grief observing it
in order to take the matter intoyour hands.
(22:36):
Be helpless and trust Himself toyou.
You are a helper of the fatherless.
Break the arm of the wicked and evil person.
Call his wickedness into accountuntil nothing remains of it.
The Lord is king forever and ever.
The nations will perish from hisland.

Lord, you have heard the desire of the humble.
You will strengthen their hearts.
You will listen carefully, doingjustice for the fatherless and

portion. For the Lord is righteous.
He loves righteous deeds. The upright will see his face.

those who fear the Lord, Who keeps His word whatever the

generation without calamity. Cursing, deceit and violence
fill his mouth. Trouble and malice are under his
tongue. He waits and ambush near the

villages. He kills the innocent in secret
places. His eyes are on the lookout for
the helpless. He lurks in secret like a lion
in the thicket. He lurks in order to seize the
afflicted. He seizes the afflicted and
drags him in his net. So he is oppressed and beaten

down. The helpless fall because of his
strength. He says to himself, God has
forgotten. He hides his face and will never
see. Rise up, Lord God, lift up your
hand. Do not forget the afflicted.
Why has the wicked person despised God?

He says to himself, You will notdemand an account, but you
yourself have seen the trouble and grief, observing it in order
to make the matter into your hands.
But you yourself have seen trouble and grief observing it
in order to take the matter intoyour hands.

Be helpless and trust Himself toyou.
You are a helper of the fatherless.
Break the arm of the wicked and evil person.
