Welcome to Alive and Sober with Reno C! In this episode, host Reno Collier dives into Step Nine of the 12 Steps: Making Amends. Reno shares his personal journey and insights on why taking even small steps to make amends can restore relationships and free your heart. Drawing from Matthew 5:23-24, Reno explains how making amends not only heals our connections with others but also clears the way for a deeper relationship with God. Read: Matthew 5:23-24 – "If you are offering your gift at the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift." Take a moment to read and consider this passage. Reflect: Think about any relationships in your life that need healing. How does unresolved guilt or shame affect your connection with God and others? Reno encourages us to recognize that true healing begins when we take responsibility for our actions and seek reconciliation. Respond: Pray along with Reno – "Dear God, please show us our loose ends and help us to correctly clean them up so we can come to you with an open heart. Thank you for loving us, Jesus. Amen." Reveal: Demonstrate the truth of this passage by reaching out to someone you may have hurt. Take a small step today to make amends, whether through a conversation, a note, or a simple act of kindness. Show others the power of forgiveness and reconciliation in your own life. Thank you for joining Reno Collier on Alive and Sober. Remember, if nobody told you they love you today, Reno does. Keep moving forward, one step at a time.
