the lessons, and the love that comes with family life.
From first drives to family dinners, holidays to the in laws.
We're diving into all the fun, the chaos, and the
joy of being a family. A pretty young lady that
is very opinionated when it comes to driving, and we're
going to talk about driving. My topic for to day

(00:23):
is driving and how not to drive. More than anything,
the bad habits that people have, the really bad habits
that they have. And we were making a list and
we were coming up. We probably had like we're like
seven or eight into the list, right, and then I said.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
What about hogging the left wane? And oh my god,
she went the listic on me.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Oh, it just makes me so bad for the reason.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Well, I mean, now there is a reason.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Actually there's a reason because it's not only is it
bad etiquette, but come on, it's dangerous, right, I mean,
it causes road rage and just.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
It doesn't it's stops traffic. Like if you want to
go somewhere, you're going to use the left lane, and
then people just hog the left lane and then you
just got to sit there.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Amen's sister, you know, and and then you got to
end up getting in the right lane to try to
pass them, and then the person in the right lanes
doing what they're supposed to be doing and they're going
kind of slow.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
So then.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
It's kind of like when you're on an interstate and
you're in a left lane and you're coming up on
about four or five trucks and there's some hills coming
and you see the one truck put on his left
blinker right before he gets to the daggum hill, and
you want so bad to like go one hundred and
fifty and get around that truck before he pulls to

the left lane, but you can't do it. And then
you're behind that truck for about five miles at least
because now that truck can't go fast enough up the
hill to pass the other truck.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I'm all right, And it's so.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Frustrated, yeah, because it's so heavy and does Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
And then when they go down the next hill, the
truck he was going to pass and now go fast
because he's going down the hill.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
It's just one of those awful situations.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Oh, man, man, man, man, What should we talk about next?
Little girl? I'll tell you something that kind of gets
me a little heated. Is when people don't know how
to dag go on park right, They take up like
two or you know, you.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Should see some of the kids in the school parking lot,
Oh my gosh, all over up spots like crooked. They
try to back in. Doesn't work, and then they keep
trying to fit.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
It's so bad.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
That seems to be the new thing is to back
into a parking spot. Is that because you're so in
app as a driver that you can't back.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Okay, okay, okay, hold on. You can't say that because
I back in the spots, but I'm good at it.
Other people will have no idea what the hell they're doing.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
That's true. This this girl knows how to drive. Man,
she's she's a driver. She does follow a little too
closely sometimes.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
But she can drive.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, but you know, those are the same people, I
guarantee you that can't park. They're the ones that drive
around the grocery store the Walmart parking lot for like
thirty five dago minutes right.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Trying to find the closest the closest.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Spot, And I don't you know what, And I guarantee
you I watch these people and I just know as
soon as they get out of the car, they're the
ones that need to be walking the furthest right. They're
the most out of shape, like they've never seen a
bit of exercise in their life and they can't hardly walk.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
You know, the extra four.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Spaces, you know what, Start somewhere. Start today, park at
the end of the parking lot, and walk into the store.
How about that? Sorry, you know, I'm in my studio
and I'm watching the dogs today, and of course she
decides she wants to come drink like four gallons of water.
Apologize for that anyway, Listen, we made a good list here,

but I'm trying to find the fund.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Should we talk about the guy that hit my car?

Speaker 2 (04:11):
No, I'm kid. Well you know what that one do that? Okay, okay?
She will talk about breaking abruptly. All right, what bothers
you about that?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Because say, like you were going at a good forty
five an hour and then all of a sudden, so.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Of course you're not going over the speed limit. You're
just going to the speed limit.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, because I'd never go over to the seed limit.
And then this person just breaks, say there they last
minute turn into a intersection, to turn left or turn right,
or they just missed their turn in general, and they
still stop.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Oh yes, so they can't the middle, they can't turn
on the move right. They have to almost come to
a complete stop before they make a right hand turn. Like, really,
it's not that hard, guys, you know. I mean, at
some point, maybe you just need to turn your driver's
license in.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
All right.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
That's another thing we got to talk about too.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I'll tell you something that I was always like, kind
of kind of upset me a little bit about. Okay,
so you're you're going down the road and his person's
got to blinker on right, you got to turn signal on.
And so you're thinking, yeah, okay, i'll let that person
in if in the right lane, I'll let him in
the left lane. So I'll slow down and I blink

(05:29):
my lights out. I mean, I'm like, come on, over,
come on over. One mile later, blinks are still on.
Ain't moving. I'm like, you know, your blinkers on, dumbass, right,
I mean, come on.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
You know.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
So I think there should be a rule, right. I
know that this doesn't sound good, but I think that
you should forget the ticket. I think you should just
be shot on site. If you leave your blinker on
too long like that, you shouldn't even be using it, right.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Just your horn down. Oh no, don't ever lay down
on the horn.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
No, that's what That's what the people from other places
in the country that move here do, and it makes
us all very angry for us, true southerns. Yes, yeah,
we're not going to call them out by name. No, no, no, no,
we wouldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
We wouldn't do that.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh. Let's talk about this one.
Not yielding to the right away. So what in a
round not really round about. I haven't really had any
people just in general, just a yield and you just go,
especially if you go and you don't speed up fast

enough and you just cruise into my lane and I'm
up coming up behind you and I'm like, all right,
put some pep in your step and they don't go.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yeah, that's very frustrated. And you know, we'll take it
even one step further than that. Folk, folks, Listen, just
because your blinker is on does not give you.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
The right away. Okay.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
The blinker in that case is a courtesy. It doesn't
mean old blinker on, I can go right. I mean,
because there can be like a half a car length
on the interstate between two cars, and you got some
jerk over there puts on his left blinker and he
doesn't even look. I know that in his you know,
side of your mirror over there is blinking yellow because

there's somebody over there on the left side. And he
goes anyway, and you know he's taking well, my blinker's on.
It don't matter, It don't matter at all. No, that
makes me so mad. No, oh here, okay, I call
this so in our list we called it weaving through traffic.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
A lot of people call it cutting up.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
I call it.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
I'll call it water bugging, right, And it's just not
cool because you're gonna cut Okay, let's put.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
It this way. You're going down on the road.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
We're all the left lane, and there's traffic, and there
are stop lights here and there, and you're number one.
You're riding my butt right, you're on my tailgate. So
that's got me a little ticked off to begin with.
And then as soon as there's a little bit of break,
you got to get in the right lane. Then you've
got to accelerate, Then you've got to get back in
the left lane, and then we've gone five or six
miles and guess what, you're still just right in front

of me, because guess what, guys, we're in traffic.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
It doesn't help you get anywhere any faster.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
If that is your issue, okay, If you were late
to go somewhere, you should have left five minutes earlier.
That is not your emergency. Is not my emergency, okay.
And you're making it that way because you're making it unsafe.
You're making it unsafe for other people on the road,
and you were causing people like me, who are the

most laid back people in the world, to have road rage. No,
and we don't want demand to have road rage. No.
I think I've made that very clear here. Don't water bug,
don't weave through, don't what you.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Call it, cut up.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Don't cut up. He's supposed to cut up in class,
not on the road. All right, No, that's all right.
Well speeding, listen, keep it five to seven miles over
and you're probably you're on a highway with the radar attender.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I know.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Well, well, if you want to, if you.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Want to, no, just don't listen there on that. Just
keep it, keep it safe.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Right, we know that we're all going to go over
speed limit a little bit, but you know, keep it
ten ten over or under under ten over.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
That's what I'm just to say, something like that.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
It's getting complicated, and we kind of talked on this
early little bit.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Tailgatey don't don't you? All right?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
All right, don't even think about coming down here and
tail gaty right.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Okay, if you're not from here, if you're not from
whatever state you're in, don't even think about. Don't even
let that cross your mind because you're gonna take some of.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
The This is what she's trying to say is we're
not gonna name names of states like New York, New Jersey, California,
you know, cities like Seattle or what. We're not gonna
name those those types of states, right, or you know Illinois.
But when you come down here, Ohio, Oh Hi, oh,

(10:24):
what's around on both sides and high in the middle.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
That's right? So you know, don't tailgate? All right?

Speaker 3 (10:33):
And I I'm honest, gonna be honest. Sometimes I will tailgate,
but if you're going under the speed limit, actually I
guess I could just flash my brains at them.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Well that doesn't really work anymore either. The thing is
you got to keep a safe distance no matter what.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Because especially if like mine, I shouldn't tell everybody that.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
But so if you're tailgating someone, you're not giving yourself
a proper distance to start. If that person slams on
their brakes, so it's dangerous. Okay, that's one thing. Number
two is not gonna make that person in front of
you go any faster.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah, this is gonna honestly make them go slower.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
It's gonna piss them off. They may break check you,
which you shouldn't do. But you know, some some people
do that, you know. But if I don't know anybody
here who has done that. No, I'm a perfect driver,
my driving record says.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
So.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Yeah, we call a friend of mine the marsh rider
because he likes to drive his four wheel driver four
will drive into the marsh and he found out that
the four wheel drive doesn't work. But he's in the
marsh your front, so you know, obviously, you know, just
be uh when you're driving. Pay attention, don't be.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Don't be on your phone, don't be distracted, don't be on.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Your phone, don't text, don't text, don't go on Snapchat.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Don't be playing with knobs. I'd never do that stuff
like that.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
So anyway, you know what, I think we've kind of
wrapped this one up. What you think, but I think
we pretty much told you, guys, what not to do
when you're driving, because you're gonna end up making.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
People like that's really really upset, or you're gonna hurt
somebody or yourself. People like us.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah, we're the people.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
We are the people. We are the people, the people.
