today I do something more fun. We're gonna talk about
an exquisite experience in Charleston's fine dining. Okay, because Charleston
is full of restaurants, and so many of these are

amazing fine dining restaurants. It it will just blow your mind.
I'm not even gonna get into five percent of them. Well,
I'm putting at on some of the popular ones, some
or little touristy, some or not, but I don't I'm
gonna go ahead and say my favorite, and I'm not

gonna like put I have a whole I have a
whole write up about some of these. I don't have
one on my favorite because I don't want to be
too biased. But I'm gonna tell you right now off
the cuff that my favorite fine dining experience, and I
say experience, this encompasses the whole thing from when I
walk in the door until I walk out of the

door reluctantly is Hall's Chop House. I'm telling you right
now that is my favorite. Say you know that guy
said this is where I gotta go, so go try
it out. Tell him I sent you. That's kind of
funny anyway. So Charleston's culinary scene Okay, it extends far
beyond charming low country kitchens, which are amazing and the

casual eateries, and Charleston's full of those two. The city
boasts a vibrant collection of fine dining establishments, each offering
a unique and unforgettable experience. These restaurants aren't just places
to eat, they are destinations, carefully crafting culinary narratives that
reflect Charleston's rich history and contemporary flare. They represent a

culmination of the city's commitment to sourcing the fires local

own restaurants, so we had an endless supply of awesome
up and coming chefs in Charleston, South Carolina. Now they
have moved Johnson and Wales somewhere up north. I don't
know where, someplace like Rhode Island, or don't know. I
don't know, someplace I'm not going anytime soon. But anyway,

it left its mark here because it put Charleston on
the map for exquisite dining and cutting edge dishes and ideas.
And we're still there. So thank you Johnson and Wales
for what you did. I'm sorry you had to move.
It probably got too expensive to be here. I feel

your pain. But other than that, so let's let's keep going.
So one of such jewels is fig. So that's fig.
And for all those that want to know, is not
about the fig fruit or the fig leaf. Don't think
out of an eve here. It is an an acronym

for food is good, right, and so is God. So
let's eat. A culinary landmark known for its seasonal tasting
menus and a commitment to locally sourced ingredients. Chef Mike
Latta's vision for Fig is a celebration of low country bounty,

I have my little dinner and my wife and I
have a little dinner and we've met some people. You know,
everybody's so friendly when they're in halls because they're in halls,
and you get to know these people and they start
pointing out these other people. You just have an absolute
blast on the social end of things at halls. Amazing food,

amazing social scene, amazing service, and the best people watching
in Charleston at that level, I'm telling you right now.
