Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hey, there, it's Evan
Nathaniel Grimm, and welcome
back to another episode ofAstrology Unbound.
Today, I will be talking aboutthe Scorpio New Moon happening
on November 1st.
Before I start, though, be sureto check out my Substack
newsletter for an in-depthbreakdown of my predictions for
the world, also my sign-by-signhoroscopes.
Now, I do have a free servicethrough this, where you can
(00:28):
still access the monthlypredictions and many of the key
themes, but I also have a paidservice where you get the more
detailed intention-settingguides, the sign-by-sign
horoscopes, and also you do geta weekly live show with me where
I do live birth chart readings.
So let's discuss the Scorpionew moon, and also I'd just like
(00:52):
to note that I have been offthe past couple weeks due to a
combination of traveling andalso gearing up for the 2025
forecast videos, which will beavailable very soon.
The 2025 forecast videos, whichwill be available very soon.
Those videos are covering everysingle new and full moon next
year, tailored to your zodiacsign, and I've done these videos
(01:13):
in the past 2023 and 2024.
And, yeah, people always reportback to me that it helped them
plan out the year, whetherthey're trying to move or time.
You know, a new job change.
You know, buying property, there's many, many questions
that people have and they wantto, you know, plan ahead and not
wing it for the year.
So those videos will be perfectfor that.
(01:35):
And those videos include chartsthat I create key transits,
retrograde timelines, keytransits, retrograde timelines,
ingresses, and then, of course, well, even custom rankings of
each month for your sign and, ofcourse, you know, every single
noon, full moon.
So those videos, I'm reallyproud of how they came together
(01:57):
and you'll want to definitelydownload them when they are
available.
So, anyways, I'm back now andand thank you, by the way, for
listening and for your supportand we're here to talk about the
Scorpio new moon.
So let's just break this down.
Every time we look at a newmoon, we are really looking at
an opportunity to initiatesomething new in our lives and
(02:21):
to start to manifest somethingin the physical plane, and a new
moon is a time for settingintentions of what you want to
accomplish within this lunationcycle.
Now the energy really peaksabout two weeks later on the
full moon, and the full moon iswhen we have fully fleshed out
(02:42):
our idea and manifested it fullyand we're ready to release the
aspects of it that no longerserve us or to celebrate a
milestone.
But also full moons can bemoments where everything clicks,
comes together and we have anepiphany and a sudden moment of
awareness and in that way fullmoons also can be transitions.
(03:06):
And then there's a waninghemicycle after the full moon
where we are further pruningwhat we manifested and
optimizing it, tweaking it, andthen by the last quarter moon
we're fully purging, letting goand just getting ready for the
next cycle and the energy iswinding down.
And go and just getting readyfor the next cycle and the
(03:27):
energy is winding down.
So the new moon is thatpowerful initiation.
And this new moon is especiallyintense because the two ruling
planets of Scorpio are Mars andPluto and they're opposing each
other almost exactly on this newmoon, opposing each other
almost exactly on this new moon.
(03:48):
So this is almost making itespecially scorpionic.
And, you know, a Scorpio newmoon is really a time where we
want to dig deeper, where wewant to, you know, push further,
investigate the subterranean,the subliminal, further.
Investigate the subterranean, the subliminal, read between the
lines, to, you know, reallyexamine our own subconscious and
(04:09):
psyche, but also to, I think, you know, really dig up some
really powerful revelations.
And specifically, it's anopportunity for transmutation.
You know Scorpio and I'mactually a Scorpio sun and moon,
so you know this is and it'sactually on my natal moon,
exactly.
So you know, the energy ofScorpio is really interesting
(04:33):
because Scorpios will go throughthis, these periods of anguish
in their lives, I mean whereit's like they're kind of
festering and brooding andthey're not really doing
anything with their energy.
It's stuck because you knowit's a fixed water sign.
So it's like Scorpio holds onto the feelings and Scorpio
holds on until, you know, there's, you know it eventually
(04:55):
becomes untenable to hold on tothat memory or that feeling, and
that's when Scorpio releases orpurges or, you know, turns some
of that anguish into morepositive energy that can really
carry them to a totallytransformed version of
themselves or a new era.
And that's, I mean, that'sreally the power of Scorpio.
It's just a reminder thatenergy can be transformed and
(05:20):
transmuted.
So you know, there were times inmy life when I especially when
I was a teenager and I'm sureeverybody can relate to this but
you know, there were many, manyyears of my life where I felt
like I was stuck in place, whereI was going through a loop of
you know, whatever it was.
You know sadness or negativityand you know resentment and
(05:43):
bitterness and like not reallysure why.
You know I can't improve mycircumstances or my outcome.
And then all of a sudden I hookinto something else and I'm
like, oh, I understand now how Ican use this energy.
Negative energy can now betransferred over to something
(06:03):
that looks more like outwardmotivation to actually get
things moving and grooving andto get your life flowing in the
way you want.
So Scorpio has an all ornothing sort of persona to it.
So, yeah, it can be like steepedin anguish but then just as
(06:34):
quickly, after a sort of purgingof sorts, it can be sort of
levitating and really, you know, going through.
You know they understand sortof like the depths of either
despair or anguish and they'vejust gone through some kind of
like, whether it's a near-deathexperience or experiencing death
in the family or with friendsor something traumatic but
(06:59):
they're able to ultimately, youknow, operate from a place of
empathy after going through someof that.
So anyway, scorpio is a timefor all of us in the collective
to be really honest about.
You know ourselves in the sameway of like just taking this
sort of fearless look intoeither our own darkness, our own
(07:23):
yeah shadows, our ownchallenges from the past that
maybe we've just continued toavoid, etc.
And take all of that energy andagain sort of elevate it to a
position where it's actuallyhelping enlighten us.
But the way that we actuallyelevate because I'm sure you're
(07:44):
wondering like well, evan, howdo you actually transform
something like that, some typeof energy that feels so bitter
or dark it's really about takingagain that really honest look
at yourself, your memories, youremotions, how you're feeling,
but also practicing detachmentafter that.
(08:05):
So step one is to actually likecompletely uncover the truth.
But step two is really to holdcompassion for yourself and say
like, hey, you know, I don'thave to be bitter about this
anymore, or I don't have to bevengeful, or I don't have to be
obsessed with this anymore.
I don't have to, yeah, fixateon this thing.
(08:27):
I can actually let that feelinggo, and as you let it go,
you're able to finally transferthat energy.
It's almost like this energy isgetting out from under a
wrestler that's pinning it down.
So, scorpio, you know, thetighter it holds on to an
emotion, um, the morechallenging and untenable the
position gets, and eventuallythat's when Scorpio's let it go.
(08:50):
So you know, as a Scorpio again,I've experienced.
I've experienced that,definitely, have experienced
that in in my own life and, um,you know, uh, in eras where I
did feel like I was holding onto, maybe, let's say like in
high school, like the feeling ofholding on to an ex or
(09:12):
something and the notion of like, oh, I wish I was still with
her or something, and then youknow, but then also writing
music about it, and that's partof that transformational process
, writing music about it.
And that's part of thattransformational process, like I
remember in high school, likereally reeling from a breakup,
and then my fifth house, scorpioStellium, decided, okay, well,
let's do something with thisenergy, let's not, like, sit
(09:34):
with the sadness.
But then, even after writingthe music and everything, I
still felt like I was holding onto something and it took a long
time for me to realize how allthese different, maybe
relationships connected and howit connected to my early life,
et cetera.
And so Scorpio is a chance forus to really connect the dots to
(09:54):
the most like emotionallyextreme moments in our life, and
a lot of times those emotionalextremes are coming from a
consistent place that is deeplyrooted, and sometimes in past
lives, in our ancestry or justother experiences in our past.
So a Scorpio new moon, though,is a commitment to again looking
into those more you knowuncomfortable places, also
(10:20):
looking to again detach fromsome of those things, because I
promise you anything you let goof that has a hold on you, cause
, again, scorpio is aboutcontrol as well, and, like
sometimes our emotions can, like, obviously, control us, scorpio
is a reminder that we can, like, submerge ourselves into those
waters, experience thoseemotions and then ultimately,
(10:43):
you know, kind of make peacewith them and go through this
extremely cathartic release inletting go.
And as we do that, I thinkthere's something that we
discover.
Well, I think there's somethingwe discover when we go into
those depths right, Because Imean, I use this analogy
sometimes of, like it's like asensory deprivation tank.
(11:06):
You know it's like a sensorydeprivation tank.
You know, with Scorpio, it'sultimately like you're taking
away, you know, all of the outerlayers and all of the
distractions, and you're justsitting inside of this.
You know dark chasm, and you'rejust like, okay, what's left to
look at here?
And eventually, when you ripaway enough distractions, you
(11:29):
reach the kernel of truth, orthe root of all the roots and
then you realize, okay, this isthe singular emotion or
experience or challenge that Ihave faced in my life and this
has contributed to all theseother challenge that I have
(11:49):
faced in my life.
And it comes, yeah, and thishas contributed to all these
other, it's manifested in allthese other ways.
This is why I am controlling inevery situation.
It's because of this momentwhere I didn't have control, or
this is why I don't trustanybody.
And obviously, for some peopleit's more obvious how it all
connects and how it ties what itties back to.
But for other people, you know,it could be deeply rooted again
(12:10):
in their family history, couldbe something from childhood or
even just like infancy.
And you know, scorpio is kind ofbringing us into that realm
where, yes, we understand whatis at the core of some of our
you know just our challenges, whether it be psychologically or
(12:31):
otherwise.
But then it also gives us sortof a look at our soul's true
essence, I think, which getsobscured by pretty much
everything in our society.
Right, like we experiencethere's so many reasons to
(13:14):
either put up a front or wear amask, to hide some aspect of
ourselves, to pretend likesomething isn't there in order
to assimilate into a socialgroup or to stand out and be
popular or something.
And so Scorpio is like becomingalmost brutally honest with the
self, but also I think it'sreally honoring the self in a
lot of ways, because it's likelooking at the identity beyond
the actual egoic identity, really, like we're really
getting into, into the crucibleof transformation and also the
centerpiece of who you are, atthe seat of your soul.
(13:36):
And so, anyways, the Scorpioenergy allows us to see what our
soul is all about and what ourpotential actually is.
And Scorpio, ultimately, is thatrebirth for the sake of
evolution, right.
So we are ultimately trying toevolve and when we find that, we
often find our soul's purposein our darkest hour, right.
(13:59):
So it's like either through theinvestigation of our shadows or
through a tower moment or amoment of loss, because, you
know, when we lose things thatwe have been attached to,
especially in the external world, obviously we grieve that.
We grieve that job or thathouse or that person or that
(14:22):
family member or whatever wehave lost or whoever we have
lost.
We grieve that.
But there is an opportunity inthose moments to see what voids
are actually filled and also tosee what remains and what is
(14:43):
resilience and what is sustainedinside of us through all of
that strife and duress.
And I'll use the analogy I'veused on other videos and shows
I've done.
Scorpio and Pluto especially, has this energy of running those
last few miles of a marathon.
(15:04):
A lot of people who run fullmarathons 26 miles they don't
actually train by running 26miles.
A lot of them, especiallyfirst-time marathon runners,
they've only tried running maybe20 miles before that event.
Scorpio is that feeling of the24th, 25th, 26th mile.
(15:24):
You think you have nothing leftand then suddenly something
emerges from you which is likethis raw, real sense of purpose
and it really does escape thephysical plane.
I think that there's somethingin us that drives us to continue
, because Scorpio has thatsurvival at type of mentality,
(15:47):
and so it is actually, in myopinion, it is the most powerful
sign, because it's like gettingyou through that feeling of
like, oh, this is the 11th hour,no, this is the 11th hour.
Oh wait, maybe there'ssomething eternal here that's
driving me.
That's actually driving meacross lifetimes, and so there
(16:09):
are difficult moments in my lifewhere it feels like
everything's ending, but it'sactually not.
You know, it's like you aregoing through experiences that
will again not just shape thislifetime but the next lifetime,
and it has been a continuationof past lives as well.
(16:31):
So the Scorpio new moon is thatchance to witness the soul's
essence and evolutionarypotential, and the only way to
evolve is to detach and let goof the past.
Remember, this is a water signand yes, scorpio, as a water
(16:52):
sign, will always be somewhatfocused on the past and things
that have happened.
But in this case, with aScorpio new moon, with Mars
opposite Pluto, both being thechart rulers, it's like clearly
there's a feeling here of beingstuck.
Clearly there is nowhere youknow nowhere else to turn, but
(17:18):
like to go in a completely newdirection.
It's like holding on to theemotions is not going to carry
you to the next chapter, tocarry you to the next chapter.
So you know, with Scorpio here,it's like we're committing to
(17:38):
feeling these emotions at theutmost intensity, but you know
we're also going to like accept, accept that past, accept what
happened and then uproot thecause of maybe, or uproot the
source of those negativefeelings and ultimately either
show compassion for yourself orsomeone else and let go, like I
(17:58):
said, and as we let go, rememberall this energy is suddenly
unlocked and it has to gosomewhere and ideally that
energy goes towards the soul'sevolution.
And I think Scorpio, as a sign,is showing us where we face
these sort of karmic tests in alot of ways and Capricorn is
that way too but Scorpio isshowing us opportunities to
(18:22):
respond to these extremes ofemotion with, you know,
eventually a letting go and afaith that our evolutionary
journey can be carried out.
So yeah, I could go on and onabout Scorpio, but essentially
this new moon is defined by theMars-Pluto opposition.
(18:44):
So you're probably going toface some temptations to double
down, dig your heels, continue aconflict and to not give up.
But you will experience, Ithink, obsessions on this new
moon, fixations and tunnelvision in a way.
But you have to make sure it'slike a healthy obsession,
(19:07):
whatever it is, because whenwe're talking about Scorpio it
has an obsessive nature andobviously, as it lets go it does
actually rise above theobsessions and eventually it
almost like experiences truepeace, because that is the final
stage.
You know we're going from ascorpion to an eagle, to a dove,
and once it reaches the dovestage, you know it's like a
(19:28):
Scorpio at that point isactually more peaceful than,
arguably, any Zodiac sign, because it's actually
experienced the, the anguish, tothe fullest extent and the
other extreme, and so it canalmost reach extreme tranquility
and extreme peace, which in ofitself sounds kind of bizarre,
but I think it is possible.
(19:50):
For again, like going back tothe Lord of the Rings metaphor
I've used in other shows, it'skind of like Gandalf the Grey
going down into the depths withthe Balrog and he's like
fighting this monster and thenhe emerges as Gandalf the White.
And that is how Scorpiooperates.
Like you have to go down intothose depths and you know again,
(20:12):
in order to maybe recover a andwhat your essence is and to
realize again that there issomething sort of hidden, an
(20:34):
unseen force that has beenpowering you and empowering you
throughout this lifetime.
But on this new moon there willbe potentially some obsessions
that develop and some areaswhere you won't want to back
down or give up.
But again, you don't want tofeed any negative energy into
(20:57):
that.
You don't want to feed on thenegative energy, I should say.
And Mars, opposite Pluto, willprobably put some enemies in
front of you and they will saylike, oh, I think you should do
this, or people who try tocontrol you and like you'll want
to respond, you know, equallyby trying to control them.
(21:19):
And it's like you don't want torespond in that way.
So, just like, kind of evadeany kind of domineering
situation.
And also, you know, use thisnew moon to translate, transmute
and transform again any morenegative, aggressive energy and,
you know, transmute it intosomething a little bit lighter
(21:42):
and more freeing.
But you know, you canabsolutely press ahead with
something that you're likerelentlessly focused on with
this Mars-Pluto opposition andyou can focus on that but also
learn to detach from the outcomeof it, because Scorpio can be
overly attached to the outcome, overly controlling trolling, and
(22:12):
you know, I actually think thatdetachment is possible here
because we do have a Grand WaterTrine.
For what it's worth I don'tthink that the Grand Water Trine
is necessarily going to, youknow, override this Mars-Pluto
opposition.
But you know, if you actuallyinclude the sextiles, obviously
it's a kite, this is actually akite formation, with the Mars
Pluto Opposition actuallydriving the kite, right.
(22:34):
So it's like in theory the kiteis sort of undergirded by a
compassion and an intuition, right, but then with the
Mars-Pluto opposition sort of inthe driver's seat, it's like
you're using that intuition toobsess over healing yourself,
healing others, you know, beingcreative, standing up for, you
(23:14):
know, a marginalized group ofpeople or something, because
Mars opposite Pluto, can reallyfight for the underdogs.
So, you know, see this as atime where maybe you'll also,
you know, stand up for anyonewho is downtrodden.
We also do have Mercuryopposing Uranus, which can
(23:35):
really bring in some amazingepiphanies, revelations, and a
lot of people will be goingthrough a total change in
mindset at this time, and maybeit's through a conversation with
somebody mindset at this time, and maybe it's through a
conversation with somebody.
We do have a Venus Jupiteropposition, which is really nice
and also additive to yourperspective.
(23:56):
It is additive to yourperspective through the lens of
relationships.
So many of you will discovermore, uh, many of you will have
these insights through aconversation.
You know someone will tell yousomething around Halloween or on
November 1st that, um, youmaybe I don't know, you just
(24:20):
like didn't expect them to sayand they don't even realize how,
um, you know, insightful it isfor you.
But as they mentioned somethingto you, they give you a new
perspective you didn't have andthat new perspective is suddenly
revealing to you that, hey, like I really want to dig into
this further and I want to keepdigging into this further.
(24:42):
They may say something thatvalidates this extreme
transformation or transitionyou're going through, because
Scorpio has that energy ofdestructiveness.
Right, it feels destructive atfirst, but Pluto, the ruling
planet of Scorpio, is leavingCapricorn during this cycle and
(25:05):
it will be in Aquarius before wereach the next new moon.
So someone might validate apathway for you that you've been
thinking about for a long time, whether it's to completely
switch your career path, tocompletely switch your
relationships around, to moveacross the world.
Whatever it is, this Scorpiomoon actually does feel like a
(25:29):
release point in some odd way, even though it's a new moon.
It's like you might bereleasing some emotions here
that did have control over you, that were preventing you from
again I don't know accepting apart of yourself or fully
allowing yourself to again enterthis Pluto and Aquarius era
(25:54):
with a completely fresh sense ofself.
So a lot of you, you know ifany of you have been dealing
with extreme losses or feelingsthat things have just broken
away or broken apart in yourlife.
This is the time to again digdeep and realize that and I'm
(26:19):
not even being cliche, it isalways darkest before the dawn.
If you feel like you've losteverything, this is when you
begin anew and this is whenmaybe your most powerful era
actually starts, because clearlyyou've probably lost things
that aren't serving thatevolutionary journey of the soul
(26:39):
and in fact the worst thing wecan do sometimes is hold on the
worst thing we can do becausethat again blocks that extra
sort of space for us to use theenergy differently and when we
hold on we kind of don't reallygive ourselves a lot of wiggle
room or creative options to moveforward.
(27:01):
So you know again, welcome anyperspectives from people during
this new moon, welcome anyinsights that you might gain
about yourself, and just takethat in stride and then again
see this all as an opportunityto start a whole new cycle of
(27:24):
Pluto and a new sign for thenext 19 years.
So, no matter how much may beending for you right now, no
matter how many eras are comingto a conclusion, just number one
, like, just realize that mostother people are in that boat
right, like everybody is endingsome massive eras right now.
(27:46):
And the Scorpio new moon isalso about finances.
Sometimes, like people might beinvesting in a different future
, investing in a differentproperty, investing in moving or
traveling across the world andinvesting in a cause, but, like
Scorpio, can be very muchfinancial, and we do have Venus
opposing Jupiter, so some of youwill, you know, spend money on
(28:13):
things that set you up for thisevolutionary journey somehow.
And yeah, I think that really, ultimately, I mean, I feel like
I've covered the vast majorityof what this new moon is about.
I think this to remind you andsummarize this this is about,
(28:35):
you know, being brutally honestabout everything in your life,
but in order to welcome you know, to compassionately,
empathetically welcome you knowroom for a completely new
beginning, a completely new era.
Expect to have certainrelentless obsessions during
this time.
Just make sure they're healthyones and also do not fixate on
(28:59):
needing a specific outcome.
Have an opportunity here todiscuss things with other people
and to have these newperspectives coming in through
those conversations thatultimately also facilitate and
support this evolution.
And anything that's fallingapart for you right now clearly
(29:22):
was just not meant to follow youinto that Pluto and Aquarius
era, which we have seen previewsof already, with Pluto in March
2023 and parts of 2024, but ithasn't fully, earnestly begun
until this coming November,november 19th.
(29:44):
So the changes that thetransformations you undergo
during this time are absolutelysupportive of a 19-year cycle of
Pluto and a new sign.
And like, think about your lifein late 2007, right before Pluto
changed signs.
Back then, you know what was IJunior in high school?
(30:04):
Absolutely completely adifferent person from who that
was then.
And as Pluto changed signs, even back then, I remember
having to actually really accepta lot of changes, like going to
university way far away from myhometown and actually feeling a
lot of homesickness as a cancerrising.
(30:27):
Sure, you know feeling homesickand feeling like did I mess up
here or can I handle this?
But ultimately, you know, persisting through that and now
being here because of that.
So it's like, as we persistthrough those challenging
moments, it's like really what Iwas doing back then is I was
embracing and accepting the factthat everything was about to
(30:49):
change for me.
So it's like we have to acceptthat everything is about to
change as a nation, as a world,as a collective, as an
individual, as a partner, as afriend, like everything is
changing.
So accept that, embrace thetransformation that comes, and
the full moon after this isgoing to support your long-term
(31:14):
ambitions, because Saturn'sgoing to station direct by the
time we reach that full moon.
What we cannot change, but wealso let go of some of those
things that we can't change fromour past in order to really
(31:36):
become our truest self, becausewhen we hold on to past energy,
it's like we are absolutelylimiting ourselves.
So let go break thoselimitations and step into that
next Pluto in Aquarius phase, really as a new person in a lot
(31:58):
of ways, who's going to be ableto withstand whatever comes up.
I want to remind you to downloadthose 2025 forecast videos when
they come out in the nextcouple weeks To also book a 2025
