(00:13):
Good morning, Azeroth.
Broadcasting live from thetrade district of Stormwind.
Hey, Hooby.
Routed all kang relay throughthe coffee pot again.
Coffee's done.
Hang on, I think we got it.
(00:35):
This is Azeroth Morning Radio.
Warcraft for the rest of us.
And good Tuesday morning, everybody.
Welcome.
This is Azeroth Morning Radio.
(00:58):
Why, hello, it's episode 10here at AMR.
So stoked to have you all here.
It's been 10 episodes.
Wow.
We got some stuff to talk about.
And anyway, we are your hosts.
My name is Jibs.
I'm joined by Cash.
Hey, everybody.
Good morning.
I hope everybody had awonderful holiday last week, as mine
was, and I think that we're.
We're truly catching thisrecording in the morning.
(01:23):
Yeah, it is a morning show.
You know, you can probablyhear it in my voice.
I'm only two cups of coffee down.
So far, but yes, yes, workschedules have forced us to do the
early morning Black Friday recording.
Oh, man, I think we're bothstill waking up, to be honest with
you.
(01:43):
But it really is a morningshow this time around.
This really is a morning.
Yeah.
Sometimes the, the magic ofHollywood may make you think that
we're recording a morning showeven though we're recording in the
evening, but we're never gonnatell you, except for right now because
you can hear it in my voicethat I literally rolled out of bed,
poured some coffee, I got a little.
(02:05):
A little early morningstretch, and then bam, here we are.
Well, what's been going on foryou in Warcraft this week?
Well, I had had a very busyweek with work and a very busy week
with getting stuff readybecause we hosted Pilgrim's Bounty
(02:26):
at my bountiful tableyesterday for the family.
So there was a lot of gettingready for that.
But I have been able to getsome, some good time in with the
peeps with our friends.
Seems like people kind of onholiday schedules and stuff, been
able to get together and playsome games, which has been really
a good time, and continuing towork through some stuff with my daughter,
(02:48):
who's still really enjoying Warcraft.
And I, I continue to check mybattle.net and catch her on midday
just out doing her thing.
And it.
That's been a lot of fun, youknow, kind of helping run her through
some stuff, getting heracclimated to Azeroth.
And I have been consuming, consuming the Pilgrim's Bounty, which
(03:12):
has really been a lot of fun.
I, I was looking at all myachievements for it, and I had one
achievement left.
I had to.
It was the, The, The TurkeyShooter achievement.
And I think it's called Turkey Lurky.
Yeah.
Or Lurky Turkey.
Yeah, yeah.
Where you have to use your.
(03:33):
Your turkey shooter that youget through the recipes, where you're
making the recipes for theNPCs, those dailies, and you get
a turkey shooter and you cantake that turkey shooter.
And for this particularachievement, you have to kill a rogue
of every race of the opposite faction.
(03:56):
And I had two left.
I had a Troll Rogue and I hada Goblin Rogue that I had to shoot
with a turkey shooter.
And so I did some hunting andearly mornings I would head to Orgrimmar
and stalk around in kittystealth form on my Druid.
(04:19):
And I actually ended upcatching one of them.
One of them I did totally legit.
One of them I did totally cheating.
But the Goblin Rogue, Ihappened to fly right by their PvP
area and there was a GoblinRogue super early in the morning,
sitting on a target dummy.
And I was like, oh, this isgoing to be great.
(04:41):
So I stealthed in there, shothim with my turkey shooter.
Got credit for that one.
Stealthed up, I shadow melded, and then went into stealth super
quick.
And the funny part is thisGoblin Rogue got transformed into
a turkey, and he stayed on thetarget dummy as a turkey for several
(05:02):
minutes.
Didn't even bother looking forme, knowing that there's probably
an alliance character aroundhere somewhere.
Didn't even bother, stayed onthe target dummy.
I took some screenshots of itand then, you know, shout it out
to friends in Discord that, okay, I got one left.
I just have one left.
And I searched and searchedand searched for a Troll Rogue for
(05:22):
three days.
You know, going back and forthfrom Orgrimmar to Dorna Gal.
Just all the areas that Ithought I could possibly find one
and was not able to find one.
So our death, one of ourbuddies quickly made a Troll rogue
and met me and I was able toshoot him and get that achievement
(05:43):
done.
So that's awesome.
That was pretty cool.
But yeah, with the.
With doing those dailies, theother thing I was able to do, and
I wasn't sure if you knewabout this, I put a screenshot up.
But there's.
There's some sneaky.
Some sneaky gifts you can get.
Transmogs you can get if youdo those dailies, the Pilgrim's Brownie
dailies.
There's a new backpack andfour versions of it.
(06:06):
I saw that.
That's so cool.
So I got two of the four.
Oh, nice.
That's been my week in wow.
Pretty much that's awesome.
Yeah, those backpacks aresuper cool.
The little.
Are they just different colors?
Like, it looks like there'slike a knapsack and then it looks
like a little, a little bookthat's latched on, then some bread,
trying to get it.
Yeah.
Are they just different colors?
(06:26):
They're just different colors, but the colors are really good.
Like, I got, I think I got thebrown one and the green one so far.
And I'm going to keep truckingthrough because we have a few days
to.
To enjoy Pilgrim's Bounty, so.
And the.
They're very, very easy to.
To do.
And if you want, if you want alittle hint at some easy ways to
(06:47):
do the Pilgrim's Bounty, firstof all, you have to be, I think,
280 in classic cooking to getit done.
And that was one thing that wedid for my daughter was because she
wanted to do the Pilgrim's Bounty.
So we, we went ahead and gother leveled up on her classic cooking.
But if you have that andyou're able to learn all those recipes,
it's a lot of back and forth,at least on the alliance side, from
(07:10):
Darnassus to Ironforge to Stormwind.
Yeah.
Stock up on the items that areavailable in those cities for the,
for the cooking.
So I think Stormwind, it'spumpkins and turkeys, you got to
stock up on those.
So grind that out a little bitor just buy what you need.
And then when you go toTeldrassil Darnassus, you'll need
(07:33):
the sweet potatoes.
Stock up on those.
And then you'll go to IronForge and you stock up on the cranberries.
And if you have plenty of thatstock, then you can do the dailies
pretty easy.
And it's just, just travelingback and forth once you make the
recipes.
But yeah, little tip for you.
If you're doing Pilgrim's Bounty.
(07:53):
Cool.
That's awesome.
Yeah, it's been a fun week.
Definitely in Warcraft, everything from our group, we took
some warlock in with the guys.
They brought me in to, to amythic for the first time.
And it's like no secret that Iam typically this, like that Mythics
are not my home.
(08:15):
There's other shows out therethat do a great job covering top
tier content.
That is not us, and that isdefinitely not me when it comes to
running Mythics.
And so that was like my firstreal rodeo doing it.
And I'm like, they're like, doyou want to go?
I'm like, do you mind a 680gear score.
And they're like, no, you're fine.
I'm like, okay.
So I just hung out in the backand threw chaos bolts like crazy.
(08:38):
Died a few times, but it was areally good time.
And then from there, just alot of PvP, of course, Pilgrim's
bounties out and about.
And then some more roleplayfor me this week.
But yeah, oh, I got intoprofessions for the first time since
12 years ago.
Like, really got into it 10 to12 years ago.
And yeah, that was, that wassomething, let me tell you, because
(09:03):
I'm like, oh, like in my headI'm like, oh, I need to go out and
get those things because I.Oh, the, the, the keys are inside
the car.
No, it's like I gotta.
I had to get out and about andso it was fun.
Picked up jewelry craftingright now and yeah, man, I'm stoked.
And it was something we weregoing to cover here on the show,
(09:24):
but we could talk about itreal briefly here.
Wowhead just dropped theirhousing feature, their database full
of items.
You can go to everyone who'slistening and even you, Cash, I don't
know if you know this.
You can go to the database, you can search by race, you can search
by theme, you can search bycrafting profession and see everything
that can be made.
(09:45):
It is glorious.
Yeah, that's going to help outthe developers of homebound too.
That add on that we've beentalking about, that's going to help
them a ton, I would imagine, because they're going to be able
to go into there and startpopulating that add on quite a bit
more.
And that is one of theexciting things I think, about housing
(10:07):
and the next few weeks inparticular, because housing, of course,
is going to be releases.
As we talk about this.
The patch is out.
Yeah.
Yep.
So, you know, once you startlistening to this episode, that patch
is going to be out and it justexcites me for you with jewelry crafting,
(10:29):
because there's going to be alot of things that you're going to
discover that you're going tobe able to make and it's going to
push you forth to be able togather the items that you need to
level up that profession andyou're going to start unlocking things.
And that is true for every profession.
It's going to be an excellentway and an alternative way to play
(10:52):
the game.
And to me, that is.
It's very exciting that as wemove forward in the timeline of World
of Warcraft, they continuallyadd things like this that Add depth
to your gameplay.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
And I was.
Of course, I.
First thing I saw was analchemist table, and there's all
kinds of stuff on, sitting ontop of it.
(11:13):
I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah, that's.
That's right up Cash's alley.
And so, yeah, it's.
You want to talk about spinning?
I can't wait.
And, yeah, this.
This episode will be comingout on patch day, you know, and that's
something we're gonna talkabout too.
But yeah, man, it's.
It's exciting for people thatlike us and so many others who have
been just chomping at the bitto get into housing and just the
(11:33):
fact that, you know, we.
We're going to be doing thatthing, especially with our friends.
It's going to be a great time.
So looking forward to it.
Hey, don't forget your HOA fees.
Can pay them directly to me.
All right, well, folks, thankyou again so much for tuning in.
This is Amr.
Thank you so much for pushing play.
It's 10 episodes here and, youknow, there's a lot of things that
are actually happening behindthe scenes that won't fully reveal
(11:57):
themselves for a little bit.
But Cash and I have.
You know, one of the thingsyou do here at on the podcast is
you review the things that, you know, what's working, what's
not working, what things areworth pushing in and, you know, not
doing.
And so we are actively doing that.
And there's some excitingthings coming down the pike for you
guys, especially somethingthat's an ongoing project that will
release at year one when yearone drops.
(12:20):
We have something very, veryspecial for you guys that we don't
want to give you any detailsjust yet, but something you can.
You can actively look forward to.
And we are actually working onit every episode behind the scenes
for that sort of thing.
But this week here on theshow, we are uncovering the secrets
in World of Warcraft.
We got Transmog updates, we'vegot midnight's release day, housing
competition, and so much more.
(12:41):

Hey guys, My name's Ardeth andwhen I'm not running for my life
in arenas as a warlock, I'mlistening to Azeroth Morning Radio.
(14:29):
Alright, welcome back everybody.
It's Azeroth Morning Radio here.
We appreciate you.
Thanks so much for hanging out.
And you know what it's timefor Hero's Call.
Hero's Call.
Ooh, man.
I was a little premature.
I was taking a sip of coffeeright there button.
I was like slurping that thingdown quick.
You have 2.1 seconds to clearyour throat of your morning sustenance
(14:54):
before it's your turn to talk adventures.
We are on the Heroes callboard for this tenth episode and
something that I've beeneyeballing for a while.
I joined this Discord abouttwo months ago and I've just kind
of been eyeballing it a little bit.
(15:15):
And something that we're goingto cover here a little bit later
on down the show, as wecontinue with the show, is the reason
that I dove into thisparticular Discord and all shall
be revealed.
But if you've never heard ofit, there is a Discord for World
of Warcraft.
It's unofficial.
(15:36):
This is all fans, which makesit completely heroes call board worthy.
But the wow.
Secret Finding in CollectionsDiscord, if you ever had any questions
about how people get certainthings, certain mounts, certain pets,
the wow.
Secret Finding and CollectionsDiscord is most likely a reason because
(16:00):
the people in here arefantastic, crafty, and very, very
good at uncovering the hiddensecrets of World of Warcraft.
And if you didn't know at all,the developers at Blizzard put in
all kinds of things into the game.
And we talk about littlecryptic things and hints that they
(16:23):
put in places.
We talk about that stuff onthis show.
And this group puts the timetogether to figure a lot of these
items out.
And we're going to give yousome examples here of some of the
things that they do uncover.
But this, this Discord isvery, very interesting.
These are the folks that arediving into the mystery behind these
(16:47):
items.
It is a massive Discord community.
I think at the last countthere was like over 200000 people
in this Discord.
So keep that in mind if you'relooking or searching for something
that it can get a little bitdiluted because there's.
Because the Discord is so large.
But back in 2016, this Discordwas created and Blizzard has actually
(17:13):
officially recognized it intheir community Discords program.
So there are, I think thereare some developers in there that
like hang out.
As a matter of fact, one ofthe rules that they talk about in
the Discord is do not pingthese folks.
Like they are here to help usand you know, guide us along and
(17:34):
maybe give some commentaryhere and there, but they don't want
you pinging them, which I, Icompletely understand.
Like, if you have somequestion about, hey, where do you
find this, you know, piece of cracker?
Because I'm trying to uncover this.
You don't just go straight tothe devs and ask them.
These are things that, thatare most likely found within this
discord anyway if you do agood search for them.
But anyway, the primary focusof the WowSeeker finding and collections
(17:59):
Discord is to collaborate.
The members here collaborateto discover hidden or obscure content
within the WoW game andoccasionally adjacent games.
So other Blizzard games andstuff too.
So I would imagine likeHearthstone and some other stuff.
There's other things that youcan find and little, you know, connecting
the dots.
(18:20):
A lot of that stuff happens inthe World of Warcraft community and
within the ip.
But solving in game secrets is.
That's their, that's their gig.
That's what they do.
And I've watched a few videoson YouTube now for some specific
things that people look for, some specific secrets that they uncover.
(18:43):
And a lot of times the waythey get there is absolutely mind
blowing.
That there's that level ofingenuity and detective work and
just being a dang good sleuththat some of our fellow players can
have and putting these things together.
(19:04):
Like there was one, and Ibelieve it was, it was a mount that
they were looking to uncoverthe Secret to how to get this mount.
And like it got down to zerosand ones.
I'm talking just straight codeand transforming that code into numbers
which equal a series of thingsthat you need it just the way they
(19:26):
do it.
I'm telling you, I am way toodumb to fully describe how a lot
of this stuff gets taken care of.
But if you're looking to find, find some of these things and you
have a specific item you'relooking for, or maybe there was a
video that you watched orsomebody told you, oh yeah, you can
get this mount.
But it's, you know, it's a.
There's a secret way to getthis mount.
This is the discord for you.
(19:47):
It's, it's excellent.
There's channels for all kindsof different stuff.
If there's an activeinvestigation going on, they will
have channels for that wherepeople can collaborate and start
to figure that stuff out.
But they've figured out abunch of things so far and I'm gonna
give you some examples of it.
(20:08):
There are, let's see here.
So there's incognitro orincognitro, which is a secret.
There's the Riddler's MindWorm, the Sun Darter Hatchling, the
Lucid Nightmare, Una.
Like a lot of these are pets.
Hive mind.
If you've never seen that onethat is in there, the one I'm going
(20:28):
to talk about in a little bitand give you kind of an example is
Jennifer, which is.
It's.
It's J E N A F U R like fur,like furry.
Like pet.
The furry wall.
It's a pet.
It's a battle pet that you can get.
And I'm going to talk a littlebit about that one as an example.
But there's mounts, there's atime Lost, Proto, Drake Poseidus,
(20:49):
the Gray Riding Camel, just.
And there's not a bunch.
I'd probably say there'sprobably 20 of these mysteries that
this discord has uncovered.
And it's really, reallysomething special.
If you're into that kind of stuff.
I completely am.
We've talked about it beforeon the show.
I'm the kind of guy that will, you know, zoom into text or something
(21:13):
that's written and if it's in,you know, a certain language where
there's some kind of a cipher, like I'm trying to decipher what
this piece of lore is saying.
I was really big for it inStar wars, like when I'd see Aure
bash on a wall or something.
Oh yeah.
Or even, even you know, Jibscame out and had a visit a few years
(21:34):
back and we went to Galaxy'sEdge in Anaheim and we.
There's Aurebesh written everywhere.
And of course it's, you know,it's a different language.
So, you know, we're, we'retrying to decode what these things
say, you know, in the areas ofGalaxy's Edge.
And like, we love doing stufflike that, just finding the, the
cryptic meaning.
And that's what this is, whatthis discord is all about.
(21:57):
So if you're into thatcompletionist side of World of Warcraft
and just finding these obscuresecrets or rare spawns or mounts
or pets, you will have accessand resources available to you to
help you discover some ofthose things.
If you need help with stuff, then there's different groups where
you can learn about and sharedifferent discoveries that are in
(22:18):
the game.
And there's a lot of them.
So like I was saying, I'mgoing to talk a little bit about
Jennifer.
Jennifer is like a void catthat you can get as a pet.
And this one sparked myinterest because I am a. I'm a cat
dad.
We have.
I have naked cats, the sphinxcats in, in real life.
(22:40):
And so I've kind of made it athing to hunt down as many cats as
I can possibly get in the game.
Like, it's either cat mountsor cat pets.
I love them, so I try and findthem all.
And yes, I do have the CrazyCat dad title.
(23:01):
You can also get the Crazy CatWoman, I think Crazy Cat Man, Crazy
Cat Woman title.
Those are available in thegame that you can get for collecting
a certain amount and certaintypes of cats.
But anyway, there is, if youknow who signs of Kalani is, Kalani
does some really good guidevideos, and one of the ones he did
(23:22):
was on Jennifer.
It was a full guide with stepson how to unlock this void cat.
So you're traveling to certainlocations to pick up items and talk
to NPCs and you end up in Karazhan.
And there's this.
This is why it blows my mindhow people figure stuff like this
out.
There's certain items of foodafter you clear Karazhan, certain
(23:43):
items of food, you have topick up and place them in a certain
order on certain floor titles.
And then all of a sudden youunlock this cat pet that like shows
up and you can go collect.
Yeah, that's awesome.
This discord, it is all abouthow people figure these little things
out.
And it just absolutely blowsmy mind because I wouldn't even Know
(24:04):
where to start.
Like I said, I'm way toosimple to be able to do this on my
own.
So check this Discord out.
If you're.
If you're interested in seeingit, you can join.
Anybody can join the discord.
Discord.com forward/invite.
Forward slash, wowsecrets.
To join the Discord.
(24:25):
And you can kind of getstarted here.
And we're gonna.
We're gonna continue this alittle bit in one of the topics that
we're gonna talk about.
But I guarantee you with what we're.
What we're gonna talk abouthere in the very near future on this
show, this Discord is going tobe fully involved in what's coming
for us.
Yeah.
Heck yeah.
That's awesome.
(24:46):
I love that sort of thing.
That's so cool.
Yeah, folks, check it out.
I love that stuff.
So good.
Now for the news.
Breaking news brought to allof you.
By the Goblin News Networkmidnight release date announced.
This coming to us fromwarcraft.com so folks quote, prepare
(25:08):
to face Xalatath, theHarbinger and the void in World of
Warcraft midnight.
Launching worldwide on March2nd at 3pm PST 6pm EST.
Those of us like me who are onthe Eastern seaboard, players who
have purchased any edition ofthe midnight expansion can secure
housing early access startingDecember 2, aka release day of this
(25:30):
show.
Can't freaking wait to do that.
So, yeah, we have a releasedate, March 2nd.
Man, it's exciting.
You know, there was some stuffout there that was kind of like.
I don't know if it was datamined or what people were doing.
I don't know if it came from.
I think it came from wowhead actually.
Like, they kind of deducedthat we're kind of around the March
area based off of pre patchdates that were listed in files.
(25:54):
So this wasn't like a superbig shock for me, to be honest with
you.
But I'm super stoked we'regetting it before maybe.
Like, I honestly thought itcould go to May.
Well, here we are in spring.
Yeah.
And I think when they put those.
They put those release windowsout because they'll put a release
window out that that says likethe last possible date that they
might do it.
So I think.
I think they did say May, right?
(26:15):
Did they?
That may have been it.
That's maybe where.
Yeah, where I heard that thatmay have been it.
I think the reason they dothat is because when the release
of an expansion is tied to apurchase, they have to protect themselves.
Yeah.
But historically andhistorically They've done that, but
(26:35):
historically they've alsoreleased way earlier than that particular
date.
So I believe they have to givethemselves some room to stay out
of legal trouble.
Because, you know, there arepeople out there that would be like,
that's false advertising.
You said it was going to behere at a certain point date and
it's not.
And those be.
(26:55):
I mean, with a community aslarge as the World of Warcraft community,
there are people out therethat will throw hissy fits about
stuff like that.
And I kind of understand why.
If you're putting your moneytowards something that says it's
going to be out on a certaindate, it should.
So anyway, they givethemselves some leeway there, but
typically always releasewhatever they say they're going to
(27:16):
release earlier.
Right.
So this is a, this is a gooddate and I'm.
I'm really looking forward toit and securing days off for it.
Even though day one, you knowhow day ones usually work.
Like, you know, you'll havebugs and you'll have connection issues
and such.
But that's all part of.
(27:37):
That's all part of it.
This.
It brings me back to the daysof like Cataclysm and Wrath of the
Lich King when I'd gettogether with friends and we'd all
be in one room legitimately.
I'll be in one room withlaptops and we'd just be leveling
together.
And that's.
So it was is good time.
Yeah, man, it was a reallygood time.
(27:58):
So I'm looking forward to thatwith, with friends here again for
this one because, you know, alot of our friends will probably
be taking some time off to, todive into it and just run around
and explore.
And I'll probably be behindbecause I'll be running around picking
for flowers and looking at allthe fun stuff and they'll be leveling.
But I'm excited.
Looking forward to this.
Yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
So folks, anyway, March 2ndfor the release date of midnight
(28:22):
and also we're looking here attransmog beta updates now.
This coming to us fromNovember 25th on the official wow.
Forum.
So Kyvax, the communitymanager at Blizzard, took to the
Warcraft forums and sharedseveral major updates on transmog
development.
First outfit slot unlocks aremoving to War band wide instead of
(28:43):
per character.
This means your entire warbandbenefits from each unlock.
Blizzard is also adjustingtransmog pricing with major reductions
coming.
So saving a full outfit willcost about 60% less.
Which was.
That was a topic ofconversation too.
The outfit slots.
Holy Cow that, that was.
Those.
That was going to be expensive.
It was definitely going to bea money sink.
(29:05):
Um, I see why they wereinitially doing that, I'll be honest.
But even I was just like, ohman, I'm gonna have to start saving.
Like, that's a formidableamount of gold.
Yeah, I, I think that issomething that this is a good change.
And there's more changes we'regonna talk about here, but that,
that is a really good changeto this system.
(29:26):
And the reason being isbecause transmog is a lot of people's
endgame.
Oh yeah.
I fully, fully understand this.
And I just think that everysingle time I want to change a full
outfit, whether it's for aholiday or as nerdy as it gets, if,
if I am adventuring in an areathat looks cold, I'm putting on one
(29:50):
of my cold weather transmogs.
Right.
Because it fits.
Right, Fits my character.
It helps me get into the gameas opposed to, you know, wearing
leader hose or something whenI'm out in the wilderness and it's
cold.
Often wear those.
Yeah.
I'm wearing a pair right now.
Oh, okay.
All right.
Don't worry about it.
All right.
Whipping.
(30:10):
Quipping.
Weird.
Okay.
Yes.
That explains the suspendersgoing up your butt crack this morning.
We wondered.
But when you're, when you're,when you're transmog in a full outfit,
right?
Yeah.
It's like 900 gold.
Yeah.
That's significant.
Yeah.
And granite.
Over years and years ofplaying, I have a decent amount of
(30:32):
gold, but it doesn't mean thatI want to spend it on a thousand
dollar transmog every singletime I want to change an outfit.
And sometimes it's like Ijust, I forget about it.
And then you think about it,we talk, We've talked about it on
the show.
I wonder how much gold we'vespent on transmog over time.
And it blew our minds.
Like, oh my God.
If you change your outfit liketwice in a week, multiplied by the
(30:57):
amount of time and weeks thatwe've played World of Warcraft, it
is a formidable amount of gold.
And I understand there needsto be some reasons for them to take
some of your gold.
Absolutely.
To help.
It's an economy thing.
It does help with economy, butman, it's expensive.
So I'm happy about these changes.
Yeah, me too.
I'm definitely looking forwardto it.
(31:17):
And yeah, you're right.
I mean, transmog is a major ingame component.
It is.
For me.
That's one of my favoritethings in this game.
And, and I bet you there aremany weeks that I go negative on
like, my gold for the weekjust because of just transmogging,
you know, especially ifyou're, you know, dependent upon,
if you're running a lot ofcontent or you're not or, you know,
(31:37):
maybe you're just hanging outsomewhere like.
Yeah, so this is a really, really great change.
And they kind of continue onhere too.
It says to break that downfurther as far as the Transmog pricing,
slot unlock costs will stillscale based on how many player, or,
I'm sorry, based on how manyyou already own.
But overall all slots will bearound 80% cheaper than before.
(32:00):
That's fantastic.
I'm excited about that.
80%, that's.
That's huge.
That's massive.
That's a massive discount.
And that means that, that thedevelopers are listening.
They're listening to whatpeople want.
And honestly, it's not goingto, it's not going to break the bank.
It's not going to completelydestroy the economy to be able to
(32:23):
do something like this.
And they're, they're lookingat what the players want.
You know, we want to changeoutfits more often and not have to
worry about the cost.
And this should.
There shouldn't be a barrierto entry on this for anybody.
If they don't have a whole lotof corporations, it should still
be able to make theircharacters look the way they want.
Agreed.
And yes, the total number ofavailable outfit slots is also increasing,
(32:46):
up from 20 to a whopping 50 slots.
This change comes directlyfrom feedback asking for more flexibility.
Dude, 50 slots.
Oh, man, this is amazing.
I'm so excited.
I'm gonna have an outfit forevery day of the year or every month.
And I know you will because you.
(33:08):
I will say this about, about Jibs.
He is always the best dressedin any group.
Well, thank you, thank you.
I thank you for theentertainment value because your
character always gets comments.
Cool Mog.
Well, thank you.
Well, thank you.
Thank you very much.
Anyway, so anyway, folks, mostof these pricing updates are expected
(33:29):
to arrive in the next betabuild on December 3rd.
If you're doing that.
And the Warband wide updatewill arrive in a later beta patch.
One last point on this.
Going up from 20 slots to 50 slots.
If you've ever taken part inthe Trial of Style event that comes
out, which is basically aTransmog competition, this is going
(33:53):
to help you exponentiallybecause there are certain categories
when you do this Trial ofStyle event and the categories that
will pop up are typically, typically a bank of the same categories
that will pop up.
So if you, if you do thatevent kind of over and over, you
understand what some of thesecategories are and it'll be like,
(34:15):
you know, Sizzling Summer orWeird Winter or you know, there's
all these different categories.
And when you get into theevent, they'll give you the category
of what this round is andyou'll have to quickly go in.
What do you have a minute?
Jibs?
Yeah, roughly like a minute or two.
Yeah, I think it's roughly aminute or two that you'll have to
(34:36):
go into your transmog, putthis outfit together and then you're
up on stage and you'regetting, you're getting graded or
judged on how good yourtransmog is.
And that's how you win theTrial of Style event.
While a lot of players, including ourselves, we have taken
notes or we research what thepast categories have been and we
(34:59):
will pre make Transmog for these.
So going from 20 transmogslots to 50 transmog slots is going
to allow those folks whoreally get into the Trial of style
to be able to foresee whatthose categories might be and pre
make your transmogs for themso you're not having to, you know,
(35:20):
do it within a minute.
Transmog sometimes takes me a while.
Oh yeah.
I will spend a long time atthe Transmog making the outfit that
I want.
And if you really want to be aforce to be reckoned with, that's
how to do it.
You get those categoriesbeforehand, you set them in your,
in your log and you just takeyour time making each one of these
(35:43):
things and man, you can winthat trial of style pretty readily
if you do that.
Oh yeah, yeah.
There's a.
By the way folks, there's agreat add on if you're into Transmog
like we are.
It's called Better Wardrobe.
Look it up.
It's amazing.
Sometimes the updates are alittle slow so it kind of tends to
break your, your well, youradd ons AKA also your game around
major patches.
(36:04):
So you may just need to turnoff during that time.
But however, yeah, it is fantastic.
You're going to see it pullsfrom Wowhead.
So you're going to seeincoming outfits long before they're
ever announced.
Like the, the Trading postthat the we got coming up so which
is now out to everybody who'slistening on release day.
The winter garb known aboutthat for weeks and weeks and weeks
(36:24):
and weeks.
We knew that was coming.
And so that pulls directlyfrom wowhead.
So Pick that up.
Better transmog it.
I think it's better transmogamwardrobe actually.
So anyway, you can check that out.
Data mining hints at newsecret in Midnight join the secretive
cabal of the Mind Seekers.
Now this is coming to us fromwowhead.com so data mining for Midnight
(36:47):
is clearly heating up and allsigns point toward Blizzard preparing
a brand new wow secret.
Speaking of secrets, earlierone tied to the legendary puzzle
mastering cabal known as theMind Seekers.
If you love big communitymysteries like the Riddler's Worm
or the Fell cycle secretMidnight might be getting might be
(37:11):
setting the stage forsomething that's new in major cash.
Goes right along with what wewere talking about with that Discord
friends, that secret findingDiscord, because they are going to
be all over this.
So the Mindseekers, a littlebit about them.
We're going to dive into alittle bit of lore here, but just
for a brief second.
The Mind Seekers in the pasthave been seen and known in the game
(37:33):
as being shadowy figuresbehind some of wow's most elaborate
secrets.
And a lot of this revolvesaround their massive community collaboration
to solve the puzzles thatthey're laying out before you.
A lot of times there's somevery obscure clues, but also leading
to really cool rewards likeexclusive mounts and toys.
(37:57):
So the last time we saw theMind Seekers was revolving around
the Riddler's Mind Worm, whichwe talked about a bit earlier.
And recently the devs haveteased at the fact that even in some
of the text that these MindSeekers have said in game is that
they are going to quote, seeus again soon.
(38:21):
So that means to me that, thatthey're absolutely going to drop
some of this stuff into the game.
Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
And I remember when that wasfirst discovered, like the community
first got wind of the veryfirst worm.
Remember when that came out, Ithink it was legion.
Ish.
I think it was legion.
We all went nuts for it.
(38:42):
Like everyone, the communitywas working toward it and the groups
were being formed for it.
Like it's such an amazing thing.
And so the fact that you knowthis, something like this is coming
back that we can sink ourteeth into, like yeah, it's so funny
you brought up the Warcraftsecrets, Discord.
I first off, I love that sortof thing but gosh, like it's a, it's
(39:05):
like a different kind ofcompletionism, you know, and it's
so satisfying when you haveacquired that thing.
It's like even though likemaybe you didn't figure out all the
steps because you're workingtogether as a community or maybe
you're using, you know, theDiscord or the, the website.
It.
Warcraft Secrets like it's,it's still so satisfying every time.
It never fails.
(39:25):
And so I'm definitely lookingforward to this.
It is.
And this is, this is going tolead to more of that community collaboration.
And the end result of thesecommunity collabs for finding a lot
of these secrets in game is a guide.
You are eventually going toget a guide at how to do this.
But yeah, I think it behooveseverybody to take a step back and
(39:48):
understand sometimes that theeffort that goes into some of these
things is a massiveundertaking by a certain very small
percentage of the World ofWarcraft community.
They dive into this stuff.
So when you get one of thoseshiny little YouTube videos that
shows you in 15 minutes or, or10 minutes how to acquire this mount,
(40:14):
there's been a lot of effortthat has taken place behind the scenes
to be able to have that guide.
So when I'm going through thatdiscord and the things that they've
uncovered, yeah, it's probably20 or less.
But the amount of work andcollaboration is pretty impressive
to see that.
(40:35):
And of course this stuff is datamined.
We've always talked about, youknow, the fact that we're not huge
fans of data mining, but everyonce in a while it brings a gem like
this.
Yeah.
To it.
Yeah.
To get you excited.
So I think there's, there's alot of positives and negatives when
it comes to data mining.
You get to see things maybe alittle bit early, but it also gives
(40:56):
you the opportunity to hearabout something that just might be
your shtick and might get youexcited about.
This could be the differencebetween somebody purchasing midnight
and somebody not purchasing Midnight.
So I don't know, maybe that'sthe reason that, that the developers
at Blizz don't really chooseto come down on data miners too,
too hard.
But you know, there's, there'salso could be reasons like why they're
(41:19):
putting these assets in thegame and making them able to be data
mined in hopes that somebodylike this is going to discover it
and go, hey, guess what?
We, we found there's some coolstuff coming.
Yeah.
So.
So this definitely does hint, this data mine definitely does hint
at midnight that theMindseekers are going to be in there.
(41:40):
There's also a feat ofstrength and a title which could
indicate that your charactermight be able to join the secretive
cabal of the Mindseekers.
Apparently there's A questline in there and it might be able
to grant you a title of theMindseeker if you go through some
of the stuff.
But again this is all veryspeculative information, data mined
(42:05):
and we don't have aconfirmation on it, so.
But pretty much if Wowhead'sputting it out, it is a pretty good
indicator that this stuff wasfound and is going to be a distinct
possibility for us in the game.
Which is.
Which is super cool.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
And they continue on therewith the Sanctuary, the Mindseekers.
(42:26):
A new name location appears inthe files.
There's no map, no details, but just a name and then the new
spells.
So there's five differentspells simply named Mindseeker were
also added.
No extra info yet, but theirexistence supports the idea of a
large multi step puzzle isdefinitely coming.
(42:48):
Yeah.
And you know, through doing alittle bit of a deep dive on this
for the show.
There are also several NPCs inthe file of Midnight that carry the
Mindseeker title.
So there's a few of them here.
There's Jeremy Fiesel, previously involved in the Fell Cycle
Secret, so definitely a memberof the Cabal and returning with a
(43:10):
new role here.
There's Rifta.
That's probably a play on Grifta.
If you've seen Grifta, it.
He is the.
He's in Tat found in Tazovashand some different parts of the game.
But he's an amazing amuletdealer and we don't really know why
he's involved with the Cabal.
But if you go, if you get achance, he's in Tazavash.
(43:31):
His name's Grifta.
G R I F T A H Look at some ofthe items that Grifta carries as
the amazing amulet dealer andyou'll, you'll laugh like there's
some, some really fun stuff.
They're just things to pick up.
They're.
They're not going to provideyou any benefit.
But if you were to mouse oversome of the descriptions for these
(43:51):
amulets, it's actually prettyfunny some of the stuff that he has.
But anyway, apparently rumoredto be part of the secret of Cabal.
Then there is Anacron, whichis a mysterious cross timeline merchant
who will outright admit thathe works for the Mind Seekers.
So there's a lot of heavyimplications that the Cabal is paying
(44:13):
attention to what we're doingand is going to be bringing us more
secrets.
That's so cool.
Definitely something to keepyour eye on.
That's so cool.
I love they're legitimizingthem and I hope there's a vendor.
I want to wear a tabard.
I want to see what Transmog is available.
That's just so exciting.
I love that sort of thing, man.
It is very exciting.
And like, for me, like, I lovelong quest lines, I love secretive
(44:37):
things like this.
I love things that caused meto sink my time into achievements
like this.
And case in point, my LoreSeeker title.
Right.
I spent a crazy amount of timeshooting for that title a few years
back and I am so proud to rockthat title.
(44:58):
And I think if you're able toget a Mindseeker title and join or
maybe there's a factioncurrency or something that is tied
to this, I just think littlethings like this really do help to
add more depth to yourgameplay away from the the regular
daily or weekly quests thatyou're doing for gear or for whatever
(45:18):
currency it is to increaseyour eye level and all, you know,
all that stuff's important toobecause your character becomes more
powerful.
But for the casual, this isreally fun.
You can hop in, you know, foran hour and get a little, little
bit deeper into this, into thestory behind these things and do
something that's really uniquewithin the game and can and can be
(45:39):
considered pretty niche.
Yeah.
Oh yeah, definitely.
Especially when you're showingit off, you know, like how many people
do you see showing off thefell cycle?
You don't see that very often.
Just don't, you know, the mindworms, people have them but you know,
it's like you don't see itvery often even out and about nowadays.
So it's cool to see that stuff.
So.
Yeah, very cool.
(45:59):
Yeah.
And if you chunk at it alittle bit at a time, even for the
casual player, like this is ahundred percent an aspect of the
game that you can dive into.
That's right.
100 World of Decor CraftAzeroth's Next Top Builder this is
happening right now as of therelease of this episode and it's
coming actually it wasannounced on the official wow.
(46:20):
Forum so early access housingis live as a result as the release
release of this episode and itcomes to Blizzard to release the
first ever World of War.
I'm sorry, World of DecorCraft Azeroth's next Top builder
and it's underway on Twitch.
So this whole week there'sgoing to be a live creative showdown
(46:41):
and listeners can tune inright now to root for their favorite
builders.
You're going to have a kickoffstream on December 2nd.
You're going to have the buildweek from December 3rd through the
9th and then the grand finaleon December 10th live on Twitch,
hosted by Zeppelin, judged bySfan and Annie Foosha.
Yeah, dude, this is exciting.
(47:02):
So there's gonna be sixbuilders, three horde, three alliance,
and they're crafting fullhousing builds from scratch.
Judges are looking forcreativity, resourcefulness, and
strong personal expression.
Builders could work on theirown schedule throughout the week
with a midweek check in and abig live finale where winners are
crowned.
Now here's the exciting part.
(47:23):
Here's the loot.
So grand champion gets amidnight physical collector's edition
signed Dev team merch, ahousing mug, a holiday sweater, one
Year of Warcraft game time.
That is awesome.
It is.
And it goes into second andthird place.
And then there's all thefinalists will get something too.
(47:46):
And we don't have to gothrough like all the prizes they're
going to get, but.
But it just goes to show thatthey're really bringing the spirit
of housing together with the community.
And I would assume this isgoing to be something that they're
going to air in some way forall of us to be able to see what
these creations are.
And when you look at some ofthe stuff that people are able to
(48:08):
build that they've alreadydone on the test realm, it's pretty
incredible.
I think I saw something wheresomebody built a dragon out of one
particular piece of.
I don't even remember what it was.
Did you see that dragon?
No, never, Never seen.
It was incredible.
Like one item that they justpurchased over and over and over
(48:30):
and over again, and theycreated out of that one item a dragon
just sitting in the middle ofthis beautiful field.
And those are going to be someof the, like, I could never do something
like that.
But you take the housingsystem that will, you'll be able
to create all kinds of stuffwith and just make a beautiful home.
(48:52):
But then you take thedifferent items that you can put
together and overlap to makenew things that are not available,
like this dragon.
And it's just incredible howcrafty people can be and what their
mind can see and build withjust regular, everyday items that
(49:15):
you could buy from a housing merchant.
Oh, yeah.
It's pretty insane.
And I think that's kind ofwhere they're headed here with, let's
just get creative with it andsee the amazing things that people
can build with assets that are available.
But build something completelydifferent and mind blowing.
Yeah, absolutely.
And going off what you'resaying, that's one of the most fun
(49:36):
things about Housing andhonestly, something that's already
in the game and has been inthe game for well over.
Well over a decade now.
Almost Dec. Well, yeah, decades.
And that is transmog.
Like whenever you step into asystem and you start to look at it
differently from a differentpoint of view.
And I'll take transmog for an example.
(49:58):
Every piece of MOG becomesimportant, every piece of MOG becomes
integral.
Because you look at it from astandpoint of, ooh, I could piece
this together, I could piecethat together.
Don't look at the whole thing.
You look at like, what could Ido with this?
And that's why Trial of Styleis so exciting.
And so fast forward to here we are.
You know, this housing system, tell me it would not be cool if they
had their own version of Trialof Style, but for housing, like miniaturized
(50:19):
version and you had XYZ amountof time to make something off a theme,
would that not be fun?
It would be.
And it's amazing that you saidthat because as soon as you mentioned
Trial of Style, I was like, ooh, I wonder if they're going to
put something in the game for,for housing specifically.
I hope they do like a. Yeah.
And you know, you think too, like if you were to win something
like that, maybe there's atitle connected to it.
(50:41):
Oh yeah, you know, like thisold house or you know, just something
super cool where you aregetting achievements.
And we know there's going tobe achievements tied to housing which
makes the system fun.
Like when I think of the mostexciting things for me when it comes
to this is the fact that likenumber one, housing is going to be
(51:02):
instanced, but there's thepotential there for public access
so other people can come inand check out your stuff.
So like your, your guildneighborhood, they're gonna.
Other people are gonna be ableto come in and just tour it and like
that's gonna be endless.
You would imagine there'sgonna be a list somewhere of neighborhoods
that people can just tour.
The option to just comethrough and tour it.
(51:23):
And if there's some type of acompetition attached to that in some
way that's community wide, Ithink that is going to be one of
the most exciting parts aboutthe housing feature is that it, it
takes transmog and justexponentiates what transmog is in
the game and what yourcreativity can, can create and allows
(51:46):
other people to, to just popin and see your stuff.
Yeah, it's going to be incredible.
Oh yeah, yeah, it's going tobe a Good time.
And so as we move into thehousing system, finally releasing,
I'll never forget, I'll neverforget when you and I saw that trailer,
we were in the middle ofcreating for Ashes of Creation and
I sent you that text with aYouTube link and I said, watch this.
(52:11):
I'll never forget theconversation we had afterward.
Like, this is just going to be insane.
Fast forward all these yearslater and all the many months that
came with it.
And here we are creating anAzeroth and we're finally getting
to step into housing.
I want to know what excitesyou the most about housing itself
now that we finally have thatfeature Coming to Warcraft.
(52:33):
I think the biggest thingabove and beyond the low hanging
fruit, which is just theability to have a place to call your
own and to pick a theme and,and go with it and build a place
that your character lives within.
Azeroth, I think that'sprobably the lowest hanging fruit
there.
The biggest thing thatattracts me to this system is the
(52:54):
fact that it goes deeper thanjust being able to build your own
house.
So you're going to be able tohave guild neighborhoods with your
friends, right where it'sgoing to look just like the video
did where you're working onyour house and your neighbor comes
by and it just happens to beyour buddy that's in discord.
Let me see what you're building.
And they get to walk throughand see that stuff.
(53:16):
But even beyond that, theevents that they are going to have,
the themed events that they'regoing to have within the neighborhoods
or very specific rewards, it'sgoing to move along your experience
(53:37):
and you know, it's going tokind of be like the, like either
the, the trading post withtraders tender where you can you
move that along by doingcertain things and you know, different
like your, your Delver'sexperience, right.
The more delves you do, themore Delver's experience you get.
It's going to be the same waywith housing.
(53:57):
And these events that aregoing to come in are going to be
themed to different things andyou might, your neighborhood might
get a different event thananother neighborhood.
So you might do your event inyour neighborhood, earn the tender,
earn the currency and then gointo somebody else's event that's
themed something different andspend that currency there because
(54:18):
they have items that you havedifferent specific items that you
want and to have all of, tohave that flexibility in this system
and make it so much deeperthan just building a house and you
know, displaying your itemsand all that fun Stuff that's going
to come along with it.
There's so much more depth tothe system that we're yet to uncover
(54:40):
yet because it hasn't been implemented.
And that's just with twodifferent aesthetics.
You have your Horde aestheticin Razor Wind and then you have your
Elwyn for the alliance, andthat is just the two type of houses
that are currently available.
(55:01):
The system has so muchpotential for infinite expansion.
That is what excites me the most.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
Well said.
You hit everything nailed onthe head there.
I'm just excited for the.
I feel like this is the firsttime, granted, we had a housing.
A good housing system in Esofor the most part, but I'll be honest,
(55:23):
I feel like I haven't had thiskind of housing system since wildstar.
And that at the time was theking of housing systems.
The things that it allowed.
And it was because it allowedyou as the player, the ability to
do so.
To do so much and make someexciting and amazing things.
(55:44):
People making jumping puzzlesand doing all that right.
And I'm just excited to seeit's like wildstar again.
But it's in the world that weboth love, you know, it's the one
that we've cared for for solong, the lore that we've been so
attached to and the charactersthat we adore.
And now we're able to, like, just like you said, you know, we're
(56:06):
like able to put roots downand create something here.
And I tell you, if what wesaw, what we have right now on wowhead's
housing database is just ataste of what we're gonna get to
enjoy and experience.
And it's just like.
It's just like that naturalnext step, you know, that, that the
(56:26):
thing that you're just like, man, now I'm even more connected
to Azeroth and I can't.
Honestly, the thing I lookforward to most is enjoying all of
that with the community, ourfriends, our close friends.
And then in every other way, whether it's roleplay or something
else entirely.
Like, it's just so exciting tobe with so many people.
And that's what I look forwardto the most, I think.
(56:47):
Yeah, there's so many peoplethat are going to be coming back
to the game just because ofthe housing feature.
I think when you really lookat some of the inspirations for housing
and the way that it's going tolaunch in Warcraft, it is very evident
that the developers therereally took their time to craft this
(57:09):
based on the other housingsystems that are out there that they
know people love.
And I know wildstar had to bea part of that.
They had to have gone back andlooked at that system and then sat
back down on the table andsaid, okay, this game has a really
good system.
This game has these featuresof their housing system that I think
(57:30):
we should look at closely.
And then this game and thisgame and this game, let's take that
and put it on crack.
And that's where all theseadditional systems came from that
are going to make the WOWhousing system very difficult to
follow for any other MMOs.
(57:51):
And like, not that I want toget down on the MMO rabbit hole,
but MMOs are not in a goodplace if you've looked or followed
development for other MMOs.
Like there are MMOs gettingcanceled everywhere.
So for.
For Blizzard to come out withthis type of a housing system in
(58:12):
a time where MMOs arestruggling anyway, it is going to
yet again be an additionalreason for people to just stop looking
at some of the other MMOs andand their features and just go, why
would I play another game whenWorld of Warcraft has everything,
(58:34):
absolutely everything.
When you look at the featurerich environment and this is just.
It extends beyond housing.
When you look at the featurerich environment of what World of
Warcraft offers to me, there'sno doubt why it's the king and why
it will probably continue tobe the king for a time.
(58:55):
Long, long, long time.
Yep.
Agreed.
I can't say it better folks.
We're excited for this.
We're excited for you to beable to jump into this.
Let's jump in and have some fun.
One last thing on this.
Do you think at any time inthe future I will be able to have
or purchase a an NPC of JainaProudmoore and be able to to put
(59:21):
her in my house?
Wow, that's professional.
That's a great question.
Why don't you ask Ian?
I'm just saying, I will tellyou this.
I would love to have roamingNPCs come and visit your house.
That would be amazing.
And to have just like thrallor you know, you said Jaina or even
Anduin.
Yeah, that'd be awesome.
(59:42):
Yeah, all those other ones are great.
But if I could get a Jaina.
