(00:52):
And good Tuesday morningeverybody. Welcome. This is Azeroth
Morning Radio.
Greetings friend.
Thank you Malfurion. Weappreciate you welcome everybody.
This is episode number two. Sostoked to have you all here. We are
back. It's good to be back inthe air on the airwaves and we are
your hosts. My name is Jibsand I'm joined by voted 5 time best
(01:16):
door greeter at the DarkmoonFaire outhouses. His name is Cash.
Seriously, we're gonnacontinue doing this and I'm just,
I'm gonna be your punchingbag. Apparently on this show.
I didn't know they had doorbarriers, but apparently they do
at the outhouse, which is fine.
Well, first of all, I love theDark Moon Fair. And second of all,
I have a vested interest ineverybody's bow habits.
(01:37):
Oh well that's so. That's perfect.
Everybody, everybody needs apoop coach, bro.
Can you imagine how that'sgoing to go?
Knocking on the door?
You can do it.
You got some massive T who'sbeen walking around the fair eating
(01:59):
fair food all day long andhe's just trying to look a quiet
corner to poop. And I'moutside going, you can do it.
Oh, that's so good. Oh mygosh. And of course the boys are
here.
yeah,look,it's theChromedometwins.
(02:19):
Oh, hey there ladies.
see youtoo. Ithinkbeforewegoforward,we needtosayahuge thankyouto
the responsethat wegotonourveryfirstepisode.You guystunedin
first episode. You guys tunedin kind ofseehowitdeveloped, likewhatyouguys

other IPs.Anddude,thatwasamazing.
Yeah, it was. It was a veryhumbling response to, to our first
(03:06):
show and I do want to saythis, it is very intimidating coming
into a brand new space, letalone that space being the king of
the world's MMOs and to beable to experience the love that,
that we were shown, you know, both from know, our own little community
(03:29):
to Guildies, which we're goingto talk about here coming up soon.
Yeah, we got the green light and.
And just, you know, otherother podcasters and Twitter and,
you know, all the things wasvery, very heartwarming and it really
did show exactly what we'regoing for.
Yeah.
That this community is one ofthe best communities in gaming, period.
(03:52):
Yep. 100%. 100%. It was justso nice to, just to hear from so
many people and people thatlike, we had a lot of people from
Ashes of Creation reach out tous when we were creating over there
and they were just. Gosh, itjust felt. You just felt the love.
And so to everyone who tunedin, to everyone who reached out,
thank you so much for the warmwelcome to this space and yeah, looking
(04:16):
forward to many, many more, my friend.
Yeah, and it's been. This hasbeen a really good treat for, for
both Jibs and I to get backbehind the mics. It is something
that we really enjoy doingand, you know, even we talk about
it all the time to where justa lot of our just normal conversations
that we have, you know, despite the fact there's a lot more
(04:37):
cuss words and stuff, becausethis is a friendly show for the most
part. The banter that, thatJibs and I can have on the airwaves
is much like just, you know, two dudes talking the way we normally
would.
Yeah.
And then when we're able tohit play, it just, it, it brings
(04:57):
more to the conversation whenwe can really focus down on World
of Warcraft and bring you asmuch of that experience. Just like
we're, you know, like we'retalking in a bar over a couple of
brews as we can, and it's alot of fun for us. So getting back
behind the mics, I think hasbeen, it's been a huge boon to my,
to my life, honestly. Oh yeah,It's a lot of fun.
(05:19):
Absolutely. Absolutely. And sowelcome back, everybody. Thank you
again so much for pushingplay. This is the show for all of
you wonderful folks in the, inthe wonderful community, but this
is Warcraft for the rest ofus. So the casuals, the nine to fivers,
those of you who got a sinkfull of dishes and you've got 30
minutes to play, but you stilllove Azeroth, well, that's what this
show is for. Two, it's for.And quite frankly, we're just excited
(05:42):
to be here with you all thisweek on the show. We have a jam packed
week. But before we get intothat, what was Warcraft like for
you this week, dude? What'dyou do?
It was, it was plentiful. Ihad my work cycle started this week
so I was, I was waylaid alittle bit by work. Had a busy cycle
but it was still filled withWarcraft. And if I'm, if I'm to hit
(06:07):
the highlights. We started upa mythic group this week. You and
I were a little bit behind andsome of the folks that we started
up with were much furtheralong than we were. But we're still
very happy to push lowkeyswith us and also grab us at any time
they needed it and drop usinto hierarchies which proved to
(06:34):
be actually very fun and veryeye opening. You know, as I myself
and I know you're kind of inthe same boat, but we're still kind
of learning a lot of the, alot of the dungeons. But in just
the week I was able to get my,my 2K rating and I think the highest
key that, that I did this weekwas a 10 and it was an eye opener
(06:55):
but fun, super fun. So reallyI'm really enjoying the mythics.
It's making me learn my class. It's allowing me to learn my class
very, very well. As you know,I play resto druid and yeah I guess
for the second bullet points, any downtime that I had this week
where I wasn't running groupcontent, I was as I know you are,
(07:19):
I was pushing BFA content thatI hadn't finished for housing stuff.
And then yesterday, just as aquick mention yesterday you'll probably
get into it, but we actually,we chat GPT A basically a plan for
us for preparing for housingbecause as you know, housing is attached
to achievements that you'vedone in the past which I'm sure we
(07:41):
both spread across, I don'tknow, probably dozens of characters
that we've had over the years. At some point we're going to tangent
on the story of the amount ofalts we have, which is the reason
why I stick to one characternow, man. Yeah, but yeah, I said
it last week that and actuallyI got called out on it by Stark who's
(08:03):
one of our good friends and hegoes dude, you're so full of crap.
You have more alts thananybody I know. And I was like yeah,
you're kind of right. Butthat, that's the reason why now I
really, really try to stick toone character anyway, without segueing
too much into a whole othertopic. We have been looking for ways
to prepare for housing. And sowe're achievement hunting and we
(08:25):
chat GPT, a really good planfor hitting every dungeon in the
game, every raid in the game, just for those achievements. And
the funny part was last nightwe were running dead mines. Yeah.
And we discovered some newstuff and we were like, wait a minute.
(08:47):
It's like we were gettingachievements. I'm like, how long
has it been since I've rundeadmines? But there were some different
things in there that we werelike hitting achievements for is
like a whole, whole newstoryline. At the end with Van Cleef,
I was like, what? It'sfreaking been forever since I've
run this dungeon.
Yeah, I bet. I ran thatdungeon a year ago. And what it's
(09:08):
in there now. I don't want tospoil for anybody who hasn't maybe
haven't ran it yet, but thereis, there's things I had never seen
before. And I'm like, what isthis? When did they have this? You
know, like, it was just awhole, like, different experience.
And maybe it was. I don't, Idon't, I don't. I honestly, I thought
maybe it was like levelrelated or maybe like difficulty
(09:28):
related, I don't know. Butlike, it was totally different. And
just going back in those olddungeons, I'll be the first to tell
you, like, I love Trial ofStyle. I love it. Whenever in Moon
Guard, you best bring your Agame because the role players, when
they show up at Trial ofStyle, it is like you are, you are
going against the creme de lacreme of Transmoggers.
It's real. The Transmog isreal on.
(09:49):
It is so real. And it's like,it's like the living and breathing
version of the, the TransmogReddit. Like the people on the Reddit
for Transmog are in like awhole nother caliber of player that
it's like you think you'regood and then you get on there and
you just feel. So by the endof it, you're rocking in a corner.
I'm okay. I do okay. I do okay.
(10:11):
The crying Game playing in the background.
Yeah, exactly. And so anyway,it's great to do these old dungeons
and get these achievementsbecause yes, you're getting the achievements
for housing things, but alsoall the old transmog that you don't
realize you don't have. Iremember this one guy who, gosh,
this has been Years ago now.But he, he had a goal to collect
(10:33):
every piece of plate armor. Ithink it was plate. It was either
plate or mail. Maybe mail. Itwas over 10,000 pieces and he got
them all. And I'm just like, yep, that's life goals.
Yeah, that's worse thanLoremaster with 3300. Quite the 3300
quests. I did the get thattitle years ago.
Yeah. Gosh, dude, I'm sonervous. Not nervous, but just like
(10:57):
I. I look at that task aheadbecause, you know, it's so many more
expansions now and the quests, you know, so many more quests even
than then what you had. I betis. I Bet it's close to 4000. 4000
ish at this point, at least.
Yeah. If not more. But I mean, honestly, dude, what do you. What
else do you. We have to do? Imean, there's plenty to do in the
game, don't get me wrong, butit's like we have nothing but time.
(11:19):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's true. That's the best part about the game.
You log in and just like it'sso vast now. Over well over 20 years,
you know, we're celebrating20, the 21st anniversary in a couple
months. You know, it's just,it's a beautiful place to be because
it's so massive. It's like, hey, you want to go collect pets?
Go do that thing. You want togo collect. You don't have a random.
Like, I started collectingbooks. I have, I opened a slot in
(11:41):
my bank. I've named the taband it's just like books, fun, collectibles,
whatever. And all themanuscripts, all the books that I
collect, I put them in there.
Oh, that's such a good idea. That's like something that I. That
I did in Elder Scrolls games.
Yeah, me too.
I love to collect books.
Yeah.
Particularly because you canopen them and read them and it's
really cool to see the ones inthis game that you can open and read
(12:03):
and actually brings up areally interesting point that we
should probably talk aboutwhen we do. When we talk about the
Q and A that just happened inregards to housing and the way we
might in the future be able tostore our books.
Hope so, because that wasawesome. That was awesome. But anyway,
so this week on the show wehave the heroes call boards returning.
(12:24):
We have a deep dive and Q andA on midnight. And of course Snark
makes its return. Folks. It'sa massive, massive episode. Hope
you like a longer episode thanlast week because you're getting
it. And it starts right afterthis commercial break. We'll be right
back. In a city built on gold, greed, and bad business deals, one
(12:45):
goblin refuses to pay theprice. Grizzle. Gear Grind. Maybe
you've heard of me.Demolitions. Negotiations. Extractions.
I'm a freelancer. This summer,he's taking on his biggest enemy
yet. I own every second ofyour life. Gear Grind. Yeah, well,
(13:13):
guess what. Time isn't money, friend. Time isn't money. Coming
soon to a theater nearOgremmar. Tickets on sale for way
(13:33):
too much gold.
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back. And so we decided to
make this official. We cameout with a bumper this week on this
one for the Hero's call. Solet's go ahead and get that started.
(13:54):
Hero's Call! (Heroes CallBumper Plays)
Just about as cheesy as itgets. And that's the way we like
it.
In my head, I just picture youjust like yelling that in someone's
face, like military style, andjust full on slapping them in the
face.
It's a Stormwind Guard. It's.What are you talking. It's not me.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Duh.
Immersion. Immersion breaking. So anyway, Heroes call. So for those
(14:18):
of you who don't know, here atamr, we love to highlight wholesome
things in the community, things that people are doing, maybe
initiatives that are, youknow, and if there's something going
on that maybe we haven't seen, please email it to us over at our
website on the contact page.Or you can just email us@azerothmorningradiomail.com
but send stuff to us becausewe want to highlight it here. And
(14:40):
I don't know, maybe they werenervous, like, hey, we don't know
if these guys are going to beawful, so let's just wait and decide
on what we're going to dobefore we give them a green light
to promote our guild. Okay, sounds good. All right. So we don't
know if that's how it wentdown, Cash, but we've been given
the green light to promote theguild. So we're. We're stoked.
(15:00):
I'm actually very happy with. And we don't know, like, the backstory
of. Of how it happened, butyou know, we were talking about like,
hey, we'd really like topromote the guild that we're in because
it's. It's a. It's a reallyfun guild with really good people
who have been together for.For quite a long time. And so we
had. We had mentioned before,we did episode one that, hey, we'd
(15:23):
really like to shout out theguild. And I was very impressed with
the leadership in our guild. They're like, well, you know, let
us discuss it a little bit.And maybe it was because they wanted
to hear the first show first, make sure that we.
I don't blame them at all.
We weren't just off ourrockers, but we got, we got a really,
(15:44):
really good response after, after they listened to our first
show and just, just very, veryheartwarming comments about our first
show. So, so we were first ofall very. A very heartfelt thank
you for. Yes, for doing that. And then we got the green light to
shout out our guild. And Ithink we're very proudly going to
shout out our guild. Our guildis called Pulling Aggro irl and this
(16:11):
guild was formerly known asAES Sedai. It's a community that's
been together, just acommunity of people that have been
together since 2017. And jibsand I did a lot of looking around
before we decided to pick aguild. Picking a guild is it. If
you're planning to be involvedand you're planning to, you know,
(16:32):
to show up to some of theevent. They have some pretty amazing
events and stuff in this guildthat they're doing weekly. They have
some really good groups thatare running. They're raiding together,
they're running Mythicstogether. There's. They do movie
nights, they do trivia, whichyou won, actually did. Jibs won one
(16:55):
of the.
I did. I got 50k off thatthing. It was awesome.
Faster fingers at Chat GPTwhile it's going on, I'm sure.
No, maybe a little.
But anyway, you know, wereally just wanted to find like a
family friendly guild that waskind of built on good vibes and low
pressure and life comes first. That's what our show's about. And
(17:16):
that is the, the culture thatwe like to experience in our gaming.
And this guild like was rightdown that alley for us. It's basically
made for adults, professionalsand you know, people who have kids
screaming in the backgroundand hey, afk, I got to put my kid
to bed. No problem. And forthe most part, I mean, I think the
(17:37):
guild was, was built andfounded around achievement hunting.
And there's still a lot ofthat going on. And don't, don't get
me wrong, we've seen folks inPulling Agro IRL that are. It's the
full gamut. I mean, you havepeople that are. That are logging
in for half an hour, sayinghi, doing their thing, and they're
gone. And then you. There'sdefinitely some neck beaters in there
(17:58):
as well that are put, youknow, they're pushing high keys and
trying to do all the higherlevel stuff. I know there's spreadsheets
out there, but for the mostpart it's just a really, really good
casual community where there'sno expectation if you screw something
up. Trust me, I've screwed upplenty of Mythics over the last week.
And they're like, no, it's notyou. We're fine. And I'm like, but
(18:20):
my healing, I missed heal. Hedidn't have hots on when he died.
Like all those little thingsthat just freak me out as a healer.
Yeah, they don't care. No,it's. It's been a really, really
good experience. Just greatattitudes and friendly people and
really, really welcoming. So,yeah, I do want to shout out. The
guild is run by Mirana andNess and the guild's cross faction.
(18:44):
So if you're looking for areally fun guild where there's some
mutual respect for adults andworking professionals and parents
and pulling aggro, IRL is afantastic place to play this game.
Yeah, they're great people. And so like, Mythics are a stretch
for me. Like, that's notnormal for me. Like, it's just not
(19:08):
my norm. I have folks like, they're a great place to be because
if you're curious about tryingcontent, they will slurp you up in
a heartbeat. And it does notmatter like your, your, your level.
You know, like if, if you'regetting a rating, then it's kind
of, that's a kind of a littlebit of difference. Different story
because that's not a carrygroup. They're, you know, looking
for solid DPS and all thatstuff. But like with Mythics, like
I, I'm the one who takes themajority of dirt naps whenever we're
(19:32):
doing Mythics. All the deaths, pretty much. You could track them
back to my character, mypaladin. Hey. Yeah, that means he
sucks
Hey. Yeah, that means he sucks.
It's a great place to be. It'sa fun place to be. Especially if
again, like, like in the guildname, you know, if you've got a lot
of aggro in real life, it's agreat place just to kind of chill
(19:52):
out and just kind of, youknow, park and set up shop.
Yeah. And a ton of gameknowledge too with the folks there.
Long history of playing Worldof Warcraft, which is. Has made it
really, really nice. Like I'mI'm learning. I'm still learning
a bunch right when we. When werun stuff. And I've done. I think
I've done three raid nightswith them, just. Just filling in
(20:16):
for the normal group. And the.The leadership in raids is just super
chill and the vibe is. Isvery, very good. So pulling aggro.
Irl, come and join us.
It's true. And just to add onto that, I fully wiped the entire
raid because I accidentallywalked through a portal that I thought
(20:36):
everyone was walking throughand nobody was, but turns out it
was just me and they weresuper chill. So, like, if I could
do that.
I remember that wasdimensions, you know. You know, embarrassing
thing.
I have ever. I felt soembarrassed. I felt like this tall.
I feel like a gnome's height.Less. Less tall than a gnome. That's
how I felt after that. Andthey were just, you know, they laughed
(20:56):
and they laughed it off. Itwas not a big deal. So.
Okay. And as part of theheroes call board, as we segue on
from. From our guild, I havebeen trying to become a student of
the game with my Resto Druid, especially with, you know, healing
some. Some mid keys. I'mreally trying to get as good as I
can with it. So I'm doing alot of research. And through my research,
(21:19):
I have found a gentleman onYouTube that his videos are so easy
to understand. And they are. They're very, very well thought out
and well taught. And so I wantto shout them out this. This person's
channel. This is Ragnon Gamingand he has a series on Mythic plus
(21:41):
healing videos especially forResto Druids. He plays Resto Druid.
So if you play Resto Druid andyou want to get better, it's. This
series is very, very good forbasically going from the basics to.
To more advanced healing. Andthe theory behind Resto Druid healing
has been really, really, really good. And Ragnon does talk
(22:04):
about the fact that he's aneducator in real life and he enjoys
making these tutorials to helpdevelop players. And I think in all
aspects of my own healing, I'mseeing massive improvements just
because of watching hisvideos. So another one of the big
things that I really enjoythat he does, you know, as. As you
kind of learn, if you're ahealer, dps, whatever, and you're
(22:28):
learning how to play yourclass, once you kind of get the basics
and the theory behind how yourclass works, seek out videos where
there's live commentary duringgameplay. And Ragnon does this really,
really well with the RestoDruid where he can narrate while
(22:48):
he's healing a mythic plusdungeon. And it's, it's very number
one. It's very impressive andvery difficult to shout cast what
you're doing. Like that takessome skill. But at the same time,
once you understand, once youhave like a baseline understanding
of what the theory is behindyour, your particular class, whether
it's DPS or healing or tankingor whatever, following those videos
(23:12):
is really, really, reallysupplements your understanding because
now you're seeing the Theorylive. So I would definitely recommend
doing that. Ragnon does itvery, very well for Resto Druid.
So we wanted to shout him outas, you know, part of our Heroes
call board because, you know,we love what the community is doing,
that includes contentcreators. So find him on YouTube.
(23:33):
He's@YouTube.com RagnonGaming. He's on Twitch, Twitch TV.
Ragnon Gaming. And finally, just a huge thank you to Ragnon because
you have helped my healing tremendously.
Yeah, it's a really, reallygood channel.
It is great channel and, andI'm, you know, just huge thanks to
(23:55):
him. One more mention that wewant to do on the Heroes board is,
is the Warband podcast. Ohyeah, the Warband happens to be the
is. It's kind of my go to showwhen I. I'm not going to say kind
of. It is my go to show when, when I'm listening to podcasts throughout
the week. I just, I feel like,I feel like the guys there, Chicken
(24:18):
and Swaglock, I feel like Ihave just like a connection with
the way that they play thegame and their opinions and so it's
really become my go to show. And coincidentally, Swaglock put
a really nice comment aboutour first show on a Twitter post
that we had out about our WeekOne show. And so I just, I want to
(24:41):
throw them a mention. WarbandPodcast is excellent. They've been
around. I think they're on 50,60 episodes now. Solid show, solid
understanding of the game andyou know, guys who are just like
us, they got families and jobsand all those things. Just like a
lot of the players in theWarcraft community nowadays has,
(25:03):
they've been playing the gamefor quite a while and have a really
good understanding of some ofthe deeper mechanics in the game,
which is one of the bigreasons that I listen to. And I just
want to say thanks like youguys. That was super cool for you
guys to reach out and do thatfor us. It meant a lot to us coming
into a big, massive, intimidating space. Yeah, so thank
(25:24):
you, guys.
Yeah, absolutely. And just tokind of add to that, it does. It
meant a. Gosh, it meant a lot.It means a lot when folks take time
out of their day just to reachout and say thank you, especially
from other creators who are inthe space who are already so busy.
So thank you again, guys, so,so much. That was awesome.
Breaking news brought to allof you by the Goblin News Network.
(25:49):
So when we told you we have along episode. Well, most of it is
this. This is a. Wow. So thedeep dive and Q and A on midnight,
this happened this past week, and it was amazing. Just amazing.
But before we get started, Iwant to mention something we're going
(26:10):
to cover next week. So we hada blue post come out from World of
Warcraft, and it's actually anarticle over at their website. And
on that article, it's allabout combat. And they're changing
things up for midnight. They're making things simpler, a
lot more accessible. Lookslike they're going to be getting
rid of a lot of the bloat. Sowhat we're going to be doing next
episode, on episode three,we're going to be doing kind of a.
(26:33):
We're going to park on that.On that topic for quite some time
next. Next episode. And so wewant to pull in all of your thoughts.
So email us. You can go to ourwebsite, or you can always just email
us azerothmorningradiomail.comSend us your thoughts on the combat
section, and we might put yourname and your thoughts in the show
(26:54):
so you can check that out.
Does that mean less leaves formy druid?
Probably more leaves. Pretty leaves.
Good. More leaves.
Pretty, pretty leaves.
That's what we want. Moreleaves and pretty blossoms.
Hey, speaking of. Speaking ofleaves, make sure you guys, if you
have the mount, it's the mountthat changes with the season, the
giant tree. Well, he's now. He's now got fall colors on. So if
you. If you have that mount, rock that mount.
(27:16):
You changed because it's thebest time of the year.
That's right, baby.Halloween's coming.
That's right. You have yourHalloween Transmog on?
I do. I wear it to bed.
So do I. Perfect sleeves. Ihave leaves.
Oh, just leaves. Oh, perfect.
I have a scary. I have a scaryface with a cool witch hunter's hat.
Or is it witch hunter? It's.It's whatever. The Transmog.
(27:39):
Well, the harvest.
The harvest Transmog that wasin the. On the Trading Post this
week.
Yeah, yeah, man, that traded Goodness.
Yeah, I took pieces of that.
Did you?
And I made a HalloweenTransmog. And it's. It's epic.
It's epic.
I'm happy. Halloween.Halloween's my season, folks. It
(28:02):
is definitely my season.
Yeah, I mean, it's kind ofnice, too, because. And we will jump
in the news here in a second,I promise. But it's kind of nice
because we have Brew Fest, which I was finally able to kind
of do this this week becauselast week, and I know we kind of
made little bit. A little bit.Made some jokes about it last episode,
but, you know, like, that was.It was really, really difficult to
(28:25):
take in Brew Fest on thefirst. First week because of all
the. The lag and the otherthings that were kind of going on,
and there's still some stuffthat's still glitched. However, I
was actually able to jump intoBrewfest, and so that's been a nice,
like, thing to, like, tide meover until the Halloween. I know.
Hallow's End or Hollow. ThisHollow's in, right? Isn't that the
exact verbiage? So, yeah, okay, yeah. Look forward to hearing
(28:48):
the Headless Horsemanscreaming at you when you're in Stormwind
24. 7. So you can look forwardto that.
Did you get your mount yet for Brewfest?
Dude, I got the kodo. I gotthe Brew Fest Cotto, which was cool.
And I had that guy on Farm orthat event on Farm yesterday. Just
trying to get more transmogand whatnot and. But I still haven't
gotten the new. The new mount. The barrel with the propellers. Yeah,
(29:11):
yeah.
The. The fastest dungeon knownto man.
Yeah.
It's literally 30 seconds.
You throw that guy an insult, you fight, and you're out. Yeah,
it's awesome.
Yeah. Like, I don't have toheal anybody in there. I just, like.
I basically just, like, put myground kit down and that's. That's
it. Then I just dps. There'snothing to that fight. But if you
(29:34):
haven't done that, folks, youcan queue right up for it in Group
Finder, and it's. It literallywill take you 30 seconds for a chance
at the mount. So if youhaven't done it, you have. Well,
when this episode comes out,you have two more days. So do it.
Do it.
It's awesome. It's worth it.So anyway, the deep dive on midnight
(29:54):
now, folks, this is trulymassive. And for us to go through
both of these things adnauseam would literally make you
nauseous and probably fall.Fall asleep. So what we're going
to do is we're going to postour highlight, our highlights of
both of these things. It'skind of like little cheat sheets
over on the episode pageover@azerothmorningradio.com and
(30:15):
you can check it out there. But what we're going to do is kind
of pick through it some of thethings that really stood out to us.
Some things that, you know, that we really liked. I mean the
video was amazing. Dude, itwas 30 minutes of that deep dive
just. And I think they neededto do this too because a lot of people
walked away from Gamescom, me,myself included, confused as to what's
(30:36):
actually in the expansionbecause I know there was difficulty
with getting the message outand so it was. I just felt like I
have not been in the know fromGamescom on like and I'm just kind
of taking these bits andpieces. But this 30 minute video,
dude, was amazing. It wentthrough everything.
(30:56):
Yeah. And I actually got to,actually got to sit. I just kind
of picked a corner at work, sat down. I got to watch the entire
thing, which was really cool.I think the biggest thing that has
always impressed me withBlizzard is their production value
that they, that they put intothe stuff. And like when we talk
(31:16):
about the Q and A here in afew minutes, you can tell that like
some of the stuff is, it's alittle scripted and they've gotten
really, really good atanswering questions very like diplomatically.
Oh yeah.
Because they have such a hugeaudience to, to cater to. But the
one thing that I've alwaysenjoyed was these feature videos
(31:38):
like this one. And it was, itwas very feature rich and like Jibs
was saying it was half an hourof all the things that are coming
to us in midnight. And I thinkI'm, I'm just going to reach out
there and say, I think one ofthe biggest things that I was excited
about. Now it does sound likemidnight is going to be, you know,
(32:00):
we're going to be in, in anarea that is definitely a little
more Horde heavy and we playalliance, so. But it's nice to see
the Horde getting some lovewith the things that we were seeing
there and you know, the redoof the story arcs, a lot of the locations,
you know, especially being inQuel'Danas. You got the Sunwell Silver
(32:25):
Moon Cities has been redoneand there's, you know, they're gonna,
they're gonna put the alliancelike over in this little corner which
is fine. Like it makes sense, right. Because you know, we're going
at this threat, you know, thisthreat with Zalotose. We're going
at the can. Can we say that? Are we able to say, I mean.
(32:46):
Like, I don't know. Who isn'tat this point?
Yeah, I think she has an onlyf*n page with just her just feet
pics.
Hey, what'd he say?
Maybe ask someone atGoldshire. Maybe they would know
about that one. I don't. Idon't know.
There we go with Goldshire.
I know. It's like. It's likesome special roped off section in.
(33:10):
In the basement of Gold Tavernnow. Yep. Just pictures of her toes.
And you have to pay an extra special.
Oh my gosh.
Fee to get in there if that'swhat you're into. It's fine. It's
totally fine. If you're into feet.
youbringthisbackaroundyou.Goahead.
(33:32):
This is a family friendlyshow, everybody.
You had one job.
No, but I, I am excited aboutseeing the. The new revitalized areas.
And then I think one of thebiggest things that stood out for
me is the fact that theyunderstand that there's going to
(33:52):
be a little bit of separationbetween, you know, Horde and Alliance
characters there. But what waslike one of the coolest things that
they're doing to bringeverybody together? Jims.
They're putting there's.
I mean, the Tavern.
The Tavern. Okay. I didn'tknow where you were taking it. I
thought, I'm like, they'regiving us a section of the city.
(34:12):
But you already said that.Yes. So the Argentina, I believe
is how you say that. Correct?
Yes, the Argentina, which is amassive tavern with just all the
feels of a World of Warcrafttavern. And I don't know if you caught
any of the. Did you catch anyof the music or key into the. I know
you did. You're an audiophile,so I know how you are. But if, If
(34:35):
I can just picture in justquick tangent side story, like one
of my favorite soundtracks, I.I dare say my favorite soundtrack
in all of World of Warcraft isthe Taverns of Azeroth.
Oh, yeah.
It's phenomenal. If you'venever heard it and you're on Spotify
(34:55):
or whatever music medium youon for digital music, look up the
Taverns of Azeroth and listento it. It is a phenomenal soundtrack
of all the Taverns of Azerothor, you know, at least a vast majority
of them. And I got excitedbecause having this communal area
for both the Horde and thealliance that they're adding into
(35:17):
it in the Arcantina. You know, there's going to be new music.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
So new tavern music. I gotsuper excited about that. I know
it's nerdy. I, I don't care. Iembrace it. It is what it is. But
so little things like this, inseeing all the revital revitalizations
that they're, that they'redoing to old zones that we've been
(35:37):
in, I'm just so excited about. And that's probably one of the biggest
things that, that stood outfor me with this reveal.
Yeah, I love it because it'sjust like this, the vibe of the place,
at least from what we've beenable to see, is just like this warm,
just chill vibe tavern, youknow, that's a hub for quests, for
story hooks and forsocializing. So I can tell you right
(35:59):
now without a shadow of adoubt, I will not only be hanging
out in there, but I'llabsolutely be RPing in there because
there's going to be roleplayers everywhere. Everywhere. It's
going to be crazy. It's goingto be a good time. I see that smirk.
I know where you're goingalready. It's the kind of tavern
you want to be in. And.
I, I always know when you'redoing the rps.
(36:21):
I know because I don't get in Discord.
He doesn't get in Discord. Andit will have your character's name
and Stormwind City next to it.And I'm like that, that has a friend
I know to just leave it alone.Don't. Don't send you text messages.
Don't call.
Text me. You can call me.
He's doing the RPs.
(36:44):
Is that a thing?
I just, I jest. But honestly, friends, if you have not role played
in this game, you should tryit. There's a lot there. It's. It's
a whole new world. It's awhole new dimension to your game.
And it's, I mean, especiallyon our server, like we're on the
(37:04):
RP server, it is, it's vast.Oh, it's very, it's very, very popular.
It's a good time anyway.Honestly, what any game that you
play, any ip, you know, likethe moment that you can like start
to develop your character out, you're gonna find what it does to
you, incidentally andpassively is that it's going to connect
you more to the world you'rein. So like it is just a, just developed
(37:25):
a much more deeper love andcare for the world. The world lore.
And you know, you just reallykind of get more invested in your
character. So. Yeah, it's agood time. You should check it out.
But anyway, so the Tavern'sthere. It's going to be awesome.
It looks beautiful. And theylisted so many more things as well,
you know, like you've gotdelve. So like, we know one delve
(37:46):
at least is outdoors, which islooked awesome. You know, you've
got the. And actually I thinkit's called the Parhelion Plaza.
It's the defense of theSunwell, I think is. Is that delve,
which looks really, really cool.
Right. And the. And theremoval. But of some of the. Of some
of the things in delves nowthat kind of piss people off.
Yeah.
You know, like having to. You,you know that candle, you have to
(38:11):
go freaking find a damncandle. And like you have a bunch
of them in your bag and yougotta throw them and otherwise you
start taking damage. Nowgranted, the damage is dumb. It's
like. It's not. It's not a lotof damage, but it's still a pain
in the butt mechanic that wehave to get through. Andthen. And
the other ones where you haveto purify the air and there's a whole
bunch of those little thingsand. And no underwater delves, which
is great.
(38:36):
Man, I would love to talkunderwater sometime.
You want to talk underwater?
We should.
Folks won't be able to hear underwater.
Oh, that's true.
That is a murloc.
Underwater. What would it belike? Well, oh, man, you know, I
(39:01):
just. Real quick tangent. Iwould love to see more underwater
content in Azeroth becausewhen you and I were in Guild Wars
2 and we were creating overthere, their underwater content is,
bar none, the pinnacle ofunderwater content. They have set
up a system in such a way thatit's exceptional. It's amazing. And
I know if they can do it, Iknow the king of all King MMOs, World
(39:22):
of Warcraft, can conquer it.So I would love to see them really
give a solid go to underwatercontent. So when I saw no underwater
delves, I'm like, oh, if weever, ever.
Had a chance of a developerfrom Blizzard listening to our show,
they just turned it off. Youjust killed it.
Why underwater content?
What's wrong with underwatercontent? What a massive undertaking
(39:45):
that that would be for them toturn it into a system like Kill Force
system. They're like, nope,we're done. These guys suck.
What's the name of the showyeah, blacklist. They're on the blacklist.
No, but I do agree that theunderwater content in Guild Wars
2 is, is the pinnacle ofunderwater content. I mean they,
they basically as soon as yourcharacter goes under, the surface
(40:08):
of the water brings you awhole new level of skills. Like you
have a whole new bar.
Oh yeah.
Different weapons, you know, things you got like little masks
so you can breathe with. Soyou can breathe underwater and stuff.
It's very, very good. ButWorld of Warcraft has very good,
very, very good underwatercontent. There's entire zones that
(40:30):
are underwater.
Oh yeah.
Over the years that, thatthere's been so. And, and it is nice
in, in any game, any MMO thatyou're playing, it is very nice to
know that the world continuesunderwater. You're not like, remember
Swotor, dude, I.
Was going there to the ankledeep. Yep.
Ankle deep water everywhereyou go. You can't go underwater.
(40:52):
There's nothing going onunderwater. And it's like, dude,
like flesh out your world.Yeah. Come on.
Yeah.
So it is very refreshing ingames like World of Warcraft. From
the start, friends from 2004,World of Warcraft has had really
good underwater content. Somaybe we'll talk about another show.
(41:12):
But just know there will be nomore underwater delves in Midnight.
You remember new world whereyou, you couldn't swim for like the
better part of almost twoyears and you walked underwater like
lead feet.
Yeah. It was like you hadrocks in your pockets and you go
underwater and you would die.You try and cross a river and you
(41:32):
would die.
Yeah.
Because you were walkingunder. They finally have like a mad
swimming system in that game. But yeah, nothing underwater. Underwater
content is amazing. It is atopic for another show.
Oh, absolutely. And so again,Windrunner Spire, we've also got
other dungeons like Magister'sTerrace, Murder Row, which looks,
(41:54):
looks and sounds amazing.Which by the way, Murder Row is where
the price system I believe isbased out of. And so that's going
to be a good time as well. They're going to be having of course,
three different raids. And thenew spec for Demon Hunters really
got some love. The DevourDemon Hunter. So that mid range dps,
I like when they take theseodd chances like this, you know,
(42:17):
like when they came out withthe Evoker, I remember we were playing
Dragonflight at the time andof course we were. I don't know where
we were at creating at thatpoint, but we. One thing that we
really enjoyed was we wereenjoying Dragonflight. And so when
the Evoker came Out in thatsupport class I never really got
into the aesthetic of Evokersbeing a dracthyr so I never played
it. But I always reallyappreciated the fact that they added
(42:39):
a support class to the game. And so even now. Fast forward to
where we're at now, gettingready for midnight in 2026. They've
got a mid range DPS spec whichjust sounds really unique.
Pop quiz hotshot. Okay, thisis gonna be further reason for Blizzard
to hate us.
Oh, all right.
If you can pick one. I'm nottrying to take anything away from
(43:02):
you.
I know what you're gonna ask and.
You know well I know you welland it's good show content. So shut
up and let it happen. I'm nottaking anything away from the Devour
Demon Hunters because I thinkit fits. I think they did a really
nice job making Void SpeckedDemon Hunter. It makes sense and
(43:23):
they alluded to it in. In theWar within and I loved how they alluded
to it and I was like what's.Why is that quest line there all
of a sudden? We're gettingdevoured Demon Hunters. But if you
had your pick of a new class,Spectres, you don't have to say the
Spectres. Just give me yournumber one pick for a new new class
(43:44):
in World of Warcraft.
I'm going to give you two andthis will be the two. I will always
say as long as this show isrunning the two. I will always say
number one, a propernecromancer that's not fell based
something that. Because theyhave necromancers in the. Was it
the reach something Reach theForget the name the starter zone.
You know like when you makeyour first make your character. And
(44:07):
of course they're also inother places in the lore as well
and they're referenced really. And so you know really playing on
the aspect of like a basicallya different type of mage, you know.
So having a proper Necromancerclass. And then number two, this
is the one you thought I wasgoing to go to first because you
know me. However, an Engineerclass, aka Tinkerer, the Engineer
(44:27):
class in Guild Wars 2 with theturrets is the best engineer class
of all time. And again I haveno doubt that they would be able
to do something amazing likethat when you've got basically in
short you put down turrets, different types of turrets do different
things and it is so much funand I have no doubt they could put
such a wonderful engineer, youknow, spin on it for World of Warcraft.
(44:51):
So those are my two alwaysGoing to be my two. I will say them
till they're both here.
Dude. Tinker with like, it'slike a mid range DPS with a blunderbuss.
Yes.
Or a shotgun. Just a big oldsmoke pole.
Oh, dude.
Yeah.
Yeah, buddy.
So, so good.
And it's so, it's so ready forit to like just the lore. I mean
(45:11):
the world's ready. I mean youalready got the engineer profession,
you've got the gnomes and the. You've got the two best races with
the two best pieces of lorefor that. The goblins and the gnomes
doing their thing. And so.Yeah, that'd be amazing. What about
you?
For me it'd be the Bard.
The Bard. I was hoping you'dgo there.
Yeah, yeah, Bard 100%. I thinkit'd just be such a, such a cool
(45:32):
class. But again, take nothingaway from Devour Demon Hunters because
that is going to add a lot offun and depth for folks who, who
enjoy Demon Hunters. And youknow what's funny is I don't have
many other classes that I wantto play, but the Demon Hunter always
looks interesting to me. Likedoes I should just roll a demon?
(45:52):
If you do it, tell me and I'lldo it with you. Because I think they're
also going to be including, including the Void Elves as well
for this. So the Voids andthey basically the Devour Demon Hunters,
they rip void fragments tofuel devastating abilities. So void
scythe, void ray reap, collapsing star. I'm not gonna lie,
(46:14):
a lot of that reminds me ofthe Necro from Eso, but new animations,
mechanics and void infusedplay style. Yeah, it looks fun. Like
it looks fun. And everyone inthe. I forget where I read it. Somewhere
in the community said that.Well, you know, since it's a new
thing, it's going to be op.And they're probably not wrong because
typically when new classescome out, they're. They're a little
(46:34):
stronger. But it does lookfun. It does.
Yeah, it does look fun. And Imean even if it is op, like if we're
thinking for like, for PvP andstuff, I already freaking take a
face full of Demon Hunter allthe freaking time. As a healer, it's
like I'm doing my thing andall of a sudden I just have all this
freaking fell energy beingshoved down my throat and was like,
(46:57):
can't breathe, can't move.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm. I am really lookingforward to, to seeing these changes
and I know we went through itkind of quick, but there is so much
there, folks. Please make sureto check out our notes.
We even talk about housing. And that was amazing to see, of course,
in this. This reveal. Butyeah, yeah.
(47:17):
And we got a date.
Oh, we do. Yeah. You want togo ahead?
Is December 2nd or is 2nd right?
That's the word I'm hearing. They said early December was what
I. What they said on thevideo. As far as an official dates,
I've heard December 2nd beingthrown around, but I can't confirm
anywhere that. That that's theactual thing yet.
Checking now. December 2nd, Iwas right.
(47:41):
Yeah, that's all. There we go.
Yep. Starting Dec. 2 forplayers who pre purchase the upcoming
expansion midnight.
That's gonna be amazing. Yeah.
My gosh. It's like contentafter content after content.
I know.
For this thing, we have a busyfew months.
I know.
(48:01):
Seriously.
I know. It's almost like youdon't know as a creator, you don't
know what to do with yourself. You know, like you're not having
to scavenge for anything.
It's just like.
Content buffet. We'll take alittle bit of that, took a side of
this, and boom, we got an episode.
This is definitely a contentbuffet, as you'll probably see with
the amount of stuff that we'regoing to cover here. But I mean,
(48:23):
that is one thing for acontent creator that you never want
to have to search for is newsor things that have happened in the
past week. There is no, never. Not something going on at Blizzard
where they're like, oh, by theway, here's this and here's this.
And hey, we talked to thesedevelopers this week and this is
what they had to say. It'slike there's always something going
(48:46):
on and that shows game health. This game is probably the healthiest
it's ever been or it has beenin a long, long time. Like, there
are tons of people playingthis game right now because it's
just this constant releaseschedule that they're sticking to
very well. Is really lendingto players coming back.
(49:08):
Oh, yeah, absolutely. I mean, you have. You have the. I mean, you
said it all, you know, like somuch content. You have the housing
update, which is just. That'sgonna bring so many people to try
the game alone. Just havinghousing in your mmo, it's such a
big, big deal. It's huge ineso. It's huge. And oh, gosh, was.
(49:32):
I think Lord of the Ringsonline also has it, but I swotor
does, you know, like, it'sjust amazing what it does for. For
an IP Especially adding newplayers. So there's no doubt that
people who haven't played inquite some time are coming back for
housing.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna have tokick you in the nuts on the swtor
thing.
Why? You don't like it?
Oh, no, dude. Well, you knowme, I'm. I have an entire arm tattooed.
(49:55):
Star Wars. So, you know, I'm aStar wars fan. But that like their
release cadence is the suck.
Oh, well, no, I agree.
Swotor.
I agree it's terrible. I agreeit's. And, but I also, I mean, that's
kind of like a whole notherconversation, but I think it's because
it's now run. It's kind oflike getting drip feed content from
just the new developers thattook it over.
(50:15):
But yeah, that's the problemwith you and I, is it? If we, we
can tangent out really easy, folks. So you will see, it'll, it'll
look a bit like. At times,it'll look a bit like a pinball machine
where the ball looks like itwants to waste your quarter. But
we just kind of, we tap itright back onto the playing field
(50:37):
and we'll, we will eventuallyget back to where we're, where we're
going. We can tangent outpretty easy.
True.
All right, friends. So one ofthe other features of the development
update that we got this week, which was really, really good, I
kind of, I sat down and put mythinking cap on, took a bunch of
notes and really was able toget invested in the Q A. I thought
(51:00):
the Q A is, is excellent. Ireally do enjoy listening to these
and you know, watching these Qand A's that they have. And you know,
I, I feel like sometimes whenI'm watching these, it's not just
getting the information aboutwhat's coming out. It is, it's a
craft for them. And you know, just as a, as a small sidebar, it
(51:22):
is impressive to watch such ahuge game and a huge developer have
the poise that they have whenthey're answering some of these questions.
Because some of the, some, even some of the questions that they
chose were questions that theyprobably knew they couldn't answer,
but they could use it as avehicle to move towards some of the
(51:44):
features that are coming outfor, for midnight. And it's, it's
actually very impressive. Tosome, it might seem like, oh well,
they were deflecting. It's.No, these are very well trained developers.
They know their craft verywell. They know their audience, they
know the things they can sayand can't say. And honestly, for
them it's. It's a dance to beable to let certain amounts of information
(52:06):
out. Like they would say, youknow, today I can announce that.
That this is going on or to,you know, we're not quite ready to
talk about that yet, buthere's this. And they're very good
about doing that. So I thinklet's start off with housing here.
I think some of the stuff withhousing was. Was very interesting
(52:26):
and very exciting. They knowhow exciting housing is and how much
people wanted this. And I'mgonna, I'm gonna dump into this a
bit. Little. Little bit. Oneof the things that. One of the questions
that was asked was somebodywho had asked the question heard
tell that in a Hordeneighborhood you would be able to
(52:47):
have houses where theaesthetic was lions. And that was
debunked. That's. That's not athing. And, and as a matter of fact,
they, they did make a prettyfunny quip about it saying, you're
going to have to contact yourHOA if you have an issue with this.
But it makes plenty of sensebecause I would not want to be in
an alliance neighborhood andhave a Horde looking house. It's
(53:09):
like your neighbor in yourneighborhood right now paints their
house pink.
Yeah.
Like, no, dude, where's.
Ah, yeah, do it exactly. Like,it just, it just would be odd. I'm
glad they didn't allow thatthing just because it's like, like
you can tell whenever a gamekind of starts to move into areas
where things are like, thelines are a little bit blurred because
(53:33):
certain things are allowedthat normally wouldn't be or like
things they would been diehard against, you know, just several
years beforehand. And I'mreally glad, like out the gate they're
like, hey, nope, nope, nope, nope. Not happening.
Yeah, that doesn't. Thatwouldn't have made sense to me and
I think that probably wouldhave. It probably would have pissed
a lot of people off, to behonest with you.
(53:54):
Yeah.
There's just one black sheepof the neighborhood.
Yeah.
And he's got this freakinghuge portal behind his house. He's
not, he's not cutting hislawn. And his house is just in, you
know, looks like it's in likeit's from Orgrimmar. Yeah, it's in
Elwyn Forest. I mean, like,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
And how are you going tocommunicate? Like humans speak common.
(54:16):
Then you have the orcneighbors like, oh, yeah, okay.
I know you're like, you'retrying to Get a hold of him. There's
a bunch of people withpitchforks and torches outside of
his house, and all you hear iszog. Zog from. All right, this guy's
clearly not going to work with us.
So.
Yeah, so that's not a thing.Another question that was asked is,
(54:37):
you know, what happens if youhave a guild neighborhood and your
guild fizzles? And now all ofa sudden, like, you've put all this
time and effort into creatingyour home and decorating and doing
all the things that you wantto do for your plot, and it kind
of fizzles. Well, your housewill pack up very nicely. And they
(54:59):
joked about it saying it'slike little. Everything packs up,
like, into this nice littletight arcane ball. And then you can
just unpack that in anotherplot someplace, which I thought is.
That's fantastic. So all thecode in the background will save
everything that you've doneand you can pack it up and move someplace
else, which is cool.
(55:20):
I like that. And it. They. Howdo I word this? I feel like they've
done a great job baby, stepping their way through this whole
feature since the. Theannouncement of it. It's the way
that they're very. They'revery measured. That's the word I'm
looking for. This entire thinghas just been a very measured process.
(55:42):
It feels like from theplayer's side standpoint is that
just everything is very. Just, you know, they're not going way over
the top. It's just every.Every decision they make just feels
very, very measured. And youkind of. You already know what you're
getting long before you get inthere. There isn't any blurred lines.
And it makes it very enjoyablebecause I then have a dependent,
(56:05):
like a transparency or anunderstanding. Apparently, words
are hard today. I have aunderstanding of exactly what I'm
getting, and I appreciatethat. And so I love the fact. I love
their responses. And I knowyou kind of said this earlier, but,
yes, very measured. And. Andhow they. They make their responses
to. To these questions. Andit's just. It's nice to see. There's
(56:28):
another thing that I really. Ireally kind of really like to see.
I'm like an aspiring engineer.I'm not great, but I'm so stoked.
I think I'm like, what AM I,like, 20, I think, on my. My. Yeah,
because I haven't been able tounlock the next. The first set of
recipes yet. So, like, I'mslow rolling this time as an engineer.
So what I love to see was the.The bit where they were talking about
(56:50):
press, profession, decor. Soit, you know, the decor grants, skill
ups and the relevant expansiontrack itself. So like it'll be available
by recipe slash complexity. Sojust like the fact that that's going
to be like baked in with thecurrent expansion already. Love it.
Seamless. It works well.
(57:11):
Yeah, it does. And to, to goalong with that they were talking
about how there's at firstthere's not going to be any items
available for housing on thetrading posts, which is good. And
the reason being is becausethere's tons of other sources for
you to get one of those beingcrafting as you just talked about
achievements, finishingcampaigns and all the other things
(57:33):
that you know, all the otherachievements that you've done in
the game. And like we weresaying at the, at the top of the
show when we were talkingabout how Jibs and I are, we're trying
to posthumously prepare forhaving these unlocks and having as
much housing, as many housingitems as we can possibly have ready.
(57:54):
We're trying to get ready forthat now by hitting old achievements.
But what they did say is thatin the future they are going to put
a blog post up with in gameinformation that will be visible
in alpha, which you know,we'll eventually be able to see for
the players who are not inalpha so that players can understand
what they need to do to prehunt these requirements. Yep, that's
(58:18):
great. So if you want to get ahead start on it, you. Right now
we're kind of in the wind onknowing exactly what it is, but I
would say the moreachievements that you can get as
of right now, do it. But thereshould be a list of, of ways to get
housing items that is muchmore specific directly from Blizzard
(58:39):
coming in the near future. Oneof the other things that we talked
about earlier and we werementioning books and I wanted to
just make mention of this notat launch, this is not going to be
a feature that we're gettingright away, but once they get the
basis of housing out andeverything is running correctly,
(58:59):
Blizzard is going to belooking for feedback on ways to improve
the housing system whichalready looks absolutely insane and
probably going to be one ofthe pinnacle housing systems in any
mmo. I honestly I feel thatway. I was going to kind of save
that for the end just as ageneral thought, but I really feel
that this housing system isgoing to even surpass that of wildstar,
(59:23):
which was incredible at the time.
Gosh, you know what's crazy isit's gone and it has been gone for
so many years now. However, that was the best housing system
ever in an MMORPG ever. It wasamazing. And agreed when that, when
that left the industry, youknow, when that game left, that left
(59:44):
a major gap in housingsystems. ESO has a pretty great housing
system for the things that youcan do. You know, the sheer amount
of custom customization thatpeople can do is pretty similar to
what you see here. And so it'sreally great to see both of these
games, especially withWarcraft's updated version, everything
(01:00:05):
they're doing, because. Yeah,I totally agree. I totally see Wildstar
2.point zero here with thishousing system.
Yeah, I do. And I think thethings that put, that are going to
put wow's housing over the topand just, you know, take the trophy
is the, the way that they'remaking neighborhoods a social hub
and then the way that they'readding in a progression system with
endeavors.
Yes, endeavors are going to beso, so good to have. And that's another
(01:00:29):
reason too, folks. Like, ifyou're still looking for a guild,
come join us. It's going to bebusy. It's gonna be very, very busy.
And so, yeah, it's going to,it's going to be busy. And the endeavors.
One of the interesting thingsI learned about the endeavors, which
is, is the progression systemis that there's going to be events,
like timed events that arerunning in a certain neighborhood.
And your event for yourneighborhood might not be the same
(01:00:50):
as another neighborhood'sevent. Yeah, you can visit the other
neighborhood and you can spendyour, you can spend your tender,
I don't want to call it tenderbecause not trading posts, but you
can spend your, your currency.
Whatever you want to call it.
You can spend your currency onanother events items and transmogs
(01:01:16):
and you know, housing items, which I think is, is really cool.
So like, if you find out that, you know, there's, I don't know,
a brew fest event going on inanother neighborhood, you can go
visit that neighborhood aheadand spend your currency there, which
is super cool. But let mecircle back around to bookshelves
because that's, that's what westarted this little mini conversation
(01:01:36):
with at launch. We will nothave functional bookshelves. There
are bookshelves that you canget. But functional storage or display
is something that was broughtup during this Q and A and they said
those are the types of thingsthat they want to dive into. Once
they, the basis of the housingsystem is running smoothly, they
(01:01:57):
want to dive into ways toimprove the system. And that was
one of the examples that theybrought up, being able to have a
collection of all of yourbooks that you could walk up to,
click on that book and thenread it, which would be super cool.
Just adds a little bit moreintricate detail to your house.
(01:02:18):
That'd be amazing. I lovetheir philosophy too. Kind of like
going off what you said there.They're. They're wanting to ship
version one of housing andthen they're going to grow based
on player feedback, you know, like basically everything you just
said. But I just love the factthat that's their mentality, you
know, like when it comes tohousing, which has been, they said
in development, I believe theystarted in Legion is what they said.
(01:02:40):
Like this is when this, likethe, the pieces kind of started,
you know, like moving in thatdirection was Legion. And so this
has been going on for almost10 years that they've been trying
to put something like thistogether. And so it is going to be
monumental for this game andit's going to bring so many people.
(01:03:02):
And honestly, I think that'spart of the reason why they know,
they know they have to get itright and they're so measured in
all the steps that they'retaking, which is great because I
have. We have seen, oh mygosh, and all the years that we've
been creating, we have seen somany other development companies
over promise and under deliverand the over promise part coming
from. It could be hype, itcould be something like that. They,
(01:03:24):
you know, that they firmlybelieved at the time that they could
do and you know, ultimatelythose things would fall the wayside
or fall apart and it wouldn'tbe coming out at all. And then you
have a disappointed playerbase. You have, you know, people
who are upset. But when itcomes to housing, when it comes to
this feature right here fromBlizzard, they have. It's going to
(01:03:45):
be great for the community, man. It's going to be so, so good
that the community gets tohave this.
And there's, there's plenty ofpeople out there that like, they
could, they could care lessabout housing. And that's, that's
totally fine. But I, Ihonestly believe that a vast majority
of the community is, is justsuper pumped.
Oh yeah.
About housing.
Yeah, absolutely. And there'ssome other great things too in this
(01:04:06):
Q and A. And one of the thingsthat you talked about was customization
and races, which looked really cool.
Yeah, they're doing a fewupdates. Didn't sound like too many,
but they are doing someupdates to, to older races like Darkspear.
Like they're getting newhairstyles and some skin colors as
part of the Zula Mon campaign. And then over time, as more updates
(01:04:29):
roll out, they're probablygoing to, you know, try and do the
same thing for other races.
That Zolomon race, I wouldlove to see that as a playable race.
That is the first, that's thefirst race I've seen that's come
out. I feel like that justfrom an intimidation factor, their
faces, like, compared to anOrc, really like, you know what I
mean? Like just theintimidation on their face just like,
(01:04:52):
okay, don't want to mess withthem. Like, they look gnarly, man.
You're just called orc dorks.Dorks. I saw it.
I did.
I saw it in your face.
This is a, this is a, this isa neutral faction show.
So, so speaking of races, thisdoes bring up a another question
that was. I was going to savethis for later, but I'm not going
(01:05:13):
to because you seguedperfectly into this. The question
was brought up about, aboutnew races and it essentially revolved
around what is the process fordetermining new playable races in
World of Warcraft? And I thinka lot of Ian answered this question.
(01:05:33):
I think a lot of really goodperspective for the players to understand
why this is not an easyprocess was brought up by, by Ian.
First of all, the way it'sdetermined is narrative and you know,
you know, it all stems withtheir plan. Like they're going to
(01:05:54):
build in a new race into astory first. So as an example from
the War within the Heronirwere brought into the storyline.
And when I like when I firstsaw that character, I was like, what
the f is that? That is.That's. That. I never done seen that
(01:06:18):
before. But it really didspark my interest right off the bat.
And one of the clues was thefact that they really gave a good
major story arc that revolvedaround the Heron. And so, so keep
that in mind in the future asyou're, as you're playing through
(01:06:41):
stuff. That is one of the, that's. It's one of the biggest indicators.
Now we could all, we couldalways say, well, there's, well,
there's the Tortolan andthere's all these other races that
they've done that with. Butevery once in a while when you get
a race that they're payingspecial, a non playable race that
they're paying very specialattention to, there is a chance that
(01:07:03):
that particular race could endup being in the game. But the other
factors that go into that areone, does it make sense for this
particular non playable raceto join the Horde or the Alliance.
And like what are the, whatare the parameters there? How are
we going to work that into thestory? Because Lore is important.
(01:07:24):
I will say that again. Lore is important.
Heck yeah, it is.
Yeah. It's. It's a pinnaclepart of this game. This is a storytelling
game. It is a massivelymultiplayer online role playing game.
But it's an rpg so you have toat some point like Lore, it does
have to be very apparent tofolks that Lore is very important.
(01:07:45):
The other thing to considerthat Ian said that I didn't, I kind
of knew was an issue, but itdidn't really like click in was that
they need to consider everysingle armor type for every form
of these new races includingall the different forms for all the
(01:08:06):
different classes for thelifetime of the game.
Yeah.
So it's a big deal. Likeimagine what an undertaking any type
of a dragon can would do. Itchanges everything, right?
Yep.
So they base a lot of theseon. Is it easy for them to work with
based on the existingcharacter models and that. That makes
(01:08:29):
a lot of sense to me. Sothat's why, you know, we don't see
some of the larger races inthe game like ogres and such as,
as being playable classes. Ithas to. Everything kind of has to
work and not be an over thetop time sink for them. It's got
(01:08:49):
to be time efficient for themto be able to, to bring a new playable
race in the game. And it's amassive undertaking. That's why we
don't see it all the time. SoI thought that was a super important
part that I wanted to bring up.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I meanwe'll think about it. You know, like
if they will wear mail, theyhave to make sure it fits for over
10,000 pieces of mail. Likethat's insane. That is absolutely
(01:09:13):
insane. Another thing thatthey talked about on there that I
really liked was the Preysystem. That's something I can't
wait to see. So you knowyou're looking at from a prey difficulty
standpoint, it's basically thedifficulty is going to buff these
enemies for you in that zone.So like let's say you are running
on nightmare difficulty foryour, your the Prey system. Everything
in that zone is going toreflect that difficulty. So that's
(01:09:35):
going to really increase yourgameplay experience. Especially if
you don't have very good gear.I can imagine. So that was, that
was pretty surprising to see.
Yeah. And it was also too atthe lower levels I think at the base
level. If you're on normalwith the prey system, then others
can pitch in and help you. Butif you're on those higher tiers,
(01:09:56):
then you're on your own dog.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Andthen on next to that you got the
reward slash vault. So it'sgoing to be for the prey system.
It's going to be treatedsimilarly to delves for great vault
world row. So we're going toget more details on that and that
was pretty cool. I was excitedto hear about PvP because, you know,
I, I used to. That's how I wasintroduced to War Warcraft way back
(01:10:18):
in the day. Like that was mymain thing was just PvP and it was
that for very, a very longtime anyway. All right, so PvP onboarding,
really this is great for anynew player to any type of content
you're looking at with pve. They did this with follower dungeons,
which I thought werefantastic. Fantastic to help eliminate
some of that, that anxietypeople have whenever they come into
(01:10:41):
the game and they're like, Idon't, I don't know, you know, there's
a lot of unknowns and youcould totally just do a follower
dungeon. Right. To really getin your class. Well, they're also
doing that with PvP cash. Iremember, I'll never forget, I'll
never forget when you and Iwere doing one of these types of
training grounds I believe iswhat they're called and we won the
(01:11:03):
match. You got a ton of kills. In fact, if you were on top of the
board, I'm totally outing you.I'm so sorry. I can't stop now. The
ball's already rolling andyou're forget.
Yeah, man, I got number one.
I guess a great job. Let's goplay against some real people now.
We'll see how this goes. Andyou're like, wait, what?
I don't wanna.
You didn't realize it wasagainst NPCs and I, I honestly was
(01:11:28):
not a hundred percent sure itwasn't players as well because I
just didn't know and turns outthat was the case and so. But it's
great though that they'readding that to the game. It's going
to allow people to get intothe game. The new training ground
system. So BGs basicbattlegrounds versus NPCs essentially
it's going to be great for youto kind of get in and sink your teeth
(01:11:50):
into the pace of combat. Likehow that can feel from a player to
player standpoint. It's goingto help you understand the objectives
in these maps because very. And I basically queue up often when
I'm out in the world wheneverI'm playing. If right now I am trying
to push for the transmog forthe. The elite tier. So I have to,
I think hit 2K on PvP. So I'mjust out there in the world just
(01:12:10):
enjoying whatever I'm doing. And in the background I'm just queuing
up and doing my thing. And itcan be very brutal. And many times
I see more often than notpeople coming into the match and
they're saying, okay, boys, what do we do here? It's my first
time, you know, and thathappens more times than you. Than.
Than you would think. And so Ithink this is great that they're
(01:12:32):
adding to the game. It reallykind of in a good way. This isn't
a derogatory thing. It kind ofholds your hand to kind of get you
used to this. Because whenyou're trying something that's brand
new to you. And I'll be theperfect example for mythics. That's
a stretch for me. It's notnorm. It's not my norm. So when I
get into a mythic, like I'm.I'll tell you, I'll be the first
(01:12:52):
one to tell you, hey, everyonepulling aggro. Hey, Jibs stressed
the heck out, man. When we'rein the. We're in these mythics and
I'm the first to take a dirtnap. You have no idea how deep my
head is into the palm of myhand at that point. Like, I'm just
like, oh, like it is astressor for me.
You should try healing some.Talk about white knuckling your keyboard.
(01:13:17):
It's. Yeah, dude, it's not mynorm, but you know, like, so I totally
get the stressors that peopleface coming into a game with a. I'm
going to finish my monologuehere with, you know, with a new system
that they're not familiarwith. So it's really, really good.
It's great even that, youknow, they're doing this also now
for the PvP crowd. And it'llbe a permanent fixture.
Right. It brings it on parwith the follower dungeons that you
(01:13:40):
mentioned earlier, which Ithink is a phenomenal add to this
game for accessibility forpeople who don't normally run that
content and. And people whowant to see the story but don't want
to pug. They might play solo. The follower dungeons and things
like this new PvP onboardingwith the training grounds is absolutely
(01:14:03):
fantastic for them to Add tothe game for accessibility sake.
One thing I quickly want tosay about follower dungeons and the
addition of that to the game. What was that? Maybe a year ago,
Maybe two years ago.
Yeah, yeah. War within.
If you are a healer or ifyou're trying a heal spec or if you've
never healed before, thosefollower dungeons are your friend.
(01:14:27):
They absolutely are. Becauseyou can tweak your spec, you don't
have to worry about a groupwaiting on you. You can try your
rotation. There are so manythings that you can do with the follower
war dungeons to get acquaintedwith your class. It's an excellent
training ground for PvE.
Oh yeah.
So use it as a tool.
Absolutely. They also have thewar mode playground. You see that?
(01:14:49):
The new large war mode area.So it's like similar to Slayer's
Rise but it's. It's a new areain Void Storm so it's going to be
packed with war modeactivities. So objectives, all kinds
of fun things there. PvPthemed content. Basically it's a
rogue's preference playground. So casters, I'm telling you now,
if you have war mode oncasters, we know what happens. If
(01:15:10):
you're a caster and a roguegoes after you melee, well, we'll
just pop some shields and prayto the Titans that we survive.
So yep, some, some casters outthere get caught in that and just
if you get caught with a roguesometimes just take your hands off
the keyboard. Sometimes it'sbest just let them finish.
I was doing the weekly arenaskirmish yesterday. I think you had
(01:15:32):
just left. I think you had acall. You just left. And I'm like
well I guess I could try tofinish that. That weekly thing. You
know. There was a rogue thatwas the only member from the opposing
team and so the second persondidn't join the join into the match.
So it was a 2v1 us 2 versusthem 1. And the mage that was on
my team just sat back and justlet us do like a. A one on one fight.
(01:15:56):
I'm just trying to think ofthe. The orc's name for their one
on one fights. I forgot it but.
Makara.
Makara. Yes. Thank you. Thatrogue played me like a fiddle. Dude
just owned me 100 and he justtook his time like surgically like
a doctor just cut me to piecesand I was just played with you like
a cat. Yeah.
Your cat plays with.
(01:16:17):
Yeah, it's exactly what itwas. It was crazy. So I say that
to say rogues eat your heartout because you're about to have
a good time over there.
So one of the biggest thingsthat we had come out of this was
the conversation they hadabout add ons and ui. And this is
a hot topic. This is a superhot topic right now because there's
(01:16:37):
some folks who are veryreliant on add ons for certain things.
And I'm going to give myopinion on this because I'm. I can
see both sides of this. This,of this argument now. Whereas I've
always been a proponent for.If there's an add on for something
(01:16:59):
and it's a popular add on, I'mtalking like the. The highest amounts
of downloads on Curse Forge. It probably should be a pretty good
indicator to a game developerthat these should be native tools
to the game. And althoughit's. It's. I don't think it's too
late. It's definitely late inthe game here, you know, 20 plus
(01:17:21):
years out. But I do think thatthe changes that Blizzard is making
are all leaning in the rightdirection for replacing some of our
beloved add ons. And when Isay that, I say for me personally,
things like Heal Bot. I justreplaced Heal Bot with the. The native
(01:17:42):
UI for. For mouse over healingand it. It's working. There are definitely
some improvements that theycan do. I would say the biggest ones
that are out there that aregoing to be affected by this are
weak auras and didn't. Do wejust hear the weak auras.
It's done. Yeah.
Did they say they're.
It's done. They're notupdating anymore. When in for midnight.
(01:18:04):
Oh man. Dude, that is so huge.
End of an era.
It's the end of an era. I meanweak auras is. I know I talked about
a little bit on. On the lastshow. I'm not a huge user of weak
auras, although I have in thepast use weak auras. But with the
improvements to the cooldownsystem, if you don't know weak ores
(01:18:25):
is. It is an add on to.There's all kinds of things you can
do with weak ores. One of themajor uses for WeakAuras is to monitor
cool cooldowns in the game andthe changes that they're making to
the cooldown system I thinkare. Are very, very big changes and
it's going to make adifference for a lot of us in using
(01:18:45):
the native ui. But to hearthat weak auras is going away like
that, that's a huge thing. Theother one that I had on my mind was
Deadly boss mods, which isabsolutely essential. I believe it
is absolutely essential unlessyou want to play the game like in,
in more of a hard mode way, which is also fine. But I just think
(01:19:08):
that, that something like DBMis, is a massive upgrade for the,
for your gameplay if you'regonna do it. And I want to see what
they do with it.
Yeah, yeah, I have my handraised for that. Like hard mode.
Yeah. I love the idea of DBMnot being a thing per se. I like
the idea of not having thosecues. This is a, this may be a really
(01:19:33):
spicy take and I'm not tryingto be like, oh, I can't believe.
That's not at all what I'mtrying to be. But like I like as
native as possible. As nativeas a. As much of a native experience
as possible. And this is justmy personal preference whenever it
comes to gaming, so. Or forWarcraft. So I will, I'll go through
those stance where I'll addlike a bunch of add ons because it's
(01:19:54):
fun. Try new things out. Likeby the way, dialogue. If you haven't.
If you don't have that one, download that one. That's amazing.
Agreed.
You know, like I, I'm now justusing the native ui. I got rid of
using dominoes and it's juststuff like that. Like I would love
for, I would love for DBM tonot be a thing and we have to rely
on knowing the fights. We haveto rely on what, you know, paying
(01:20:15):
attention to the stages and,and not having those, those vocal
cues and those things. That'sjust me though. That's more of like
the classic era style, likewhen it first came out, you know,
like that's, that's in myhead. What I would love to see as
you raise that eyebrow at meand everyone else who's listening
right now. But you know, it iswhat it is. That's where, that's
where my head's at with it.
I'm contemplating whether ornot I need to figure out if you're
(01:20:41):
using DBM or not.
Oh, I am, I am.
This. Is that why you'restepping in shit all the time?
No, I use it. I use it.
I'm liking them, which isamazing healing. And I'm looking
at my, at my mouse over UI andI'm just noticing Chunk, Chunk, chunk.
(01:21:02):
He's now at a quarter healthand I'm like throwing bushels of
leaves at him to heal him. AndI look over and he's got one foot
and half his body is, is aninferno. Get out of there.
I should download that add ongtfo, I think is the name of it.
(01:21:24):
But anyway, no, he's sittingthere burning.
He's burning, and he's like,this is fine. I'm fine.
Everything's fine.
No problem here.
You know, it's oddly. Oddlyenough, I can go handle PvP all day
long and just get my face beatand not think a thing of it. But,
yeah, you moment. You put mein a mythic, and I'm trying to chuck
and get jive and I'm trying tolike, you know, I feel like Ron Burgundy
(01:21:44):
afterwards, he's like, boy,
That escalated quickly. Imean, that really got out of hand
fast. It jumped up a notch. Itdid, didn't it? That escalated quickly.
Yeah.
That is. That is mythics.Especially some of those hierarchies.
Like, first pull.
I'm just like, screw that.
(01:22:06):
Dumping every single cooldown.I have just the pull party a lot,
dude.
Yeah. Holy cow. We did that 10the other day. And I walked away
from it just like, I wassweating. I, like, I needed to shower.
Like, I'm just like, oh, mygosh. I feel like that meme, that
kid, where he's just likesitting there and he's like, his
face is beat red and hissweat's dripping down his face, and
(01:22:27):
he's just like, oh, my gosh. Igotta control. That's what it felt
like in this freaking dungeon.Oh, man.
Oh, man. It's. It is thebeauty of World of Warcraft when
you have a game that you canliterally. This is going to be an.
In an ongoing theme when wetalk about World of Warcraft as well.
(01:22:49):
You have a game where you cango and you can pick flowers, you
can. You can play with pets, you can collect things, and you can
min max your character on theother end of the spectrum to the
