(00:52):
And good Tuesday morning, everybody. Welcome. This is Azeroth
Morning Radio. Happyto haveyou all here with us. We are your
hosts. My name's Jibs, and I'mjoined by Kash
Hey, what's going on,everybody? That was. That was funny.
We had the giggles when wewere starting the show.
Yeah.
(01:13):
And the old gods were chokingyou out, it sounded like.
Did you hear that? Oh, mygosh. It's like my voice was, like,
fading in and out and like, ugh. It was terrible.
Bunch of amateurs.
Glad you're okay.
No, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. How are you?
How goes?
I'm good.
I am great. It has been afantastic week. Even though I had
(01:39):
work, I had some very goodprogressive things in the professional
life and some very goodprogressive things in the sit on
my butt at home and play videogames life. I have a story to tell.
I'll go on.
You already know this, but thepeople do not know this. I was approached
(02:03):
by my daughter about a weekand a half ago, and she said, dad,
I would like to play World ofWarcraft with you.
Aw.
And he said, what? So weproceeded to get the game installed
(02:24):
on her PC. And so my daughterhas. She's played several games in
the past, but not MMOs. Shewas more of a Fortnite Valorant horror
movie or horror games. She.And she streamed for. For the better
part of two years, I wouldsay. She streamed and she did pretty
dang good. And. And it wasmostly around Covid, which was. And
(02:48):
she was much younger, whichfreaked me out a little bit as a
dad. You know, just like hershoulder watching, making sure nobody's
making, you know, weirdcomments or anything while she was
streaming. But she did reallywell. And so she's a gamer. And lo
and behold, we got World ofWarcraft installed and we started
going through charactercreation, and I was just like, I
(03:09):
was in my element. I was soexcited. I felt so bad for my wife
because she's, like,downstairs working on a project.
Me and my daughter were up andup in her room, and I was getting,
you know, helping her withclasses and races and all the things,
and I'm like, you can do this, and if you get bored, you can do
this and you can do this. SoAnyway, she rolled a Draenei Warlock
(03:32):
and I thought it was going tobe like a one day thing and she was
going to get in there andstart playing and that was going
to be it. And I rolled aHunter alongside of her, went through
Newbie island together andthen I had to leave the next day
for, for work for a coupledays and I kept checking my battle
(03:55):
net and lo and behold, mydaughter was in there soloing. She
finished. We finished Newbieisland together. I showed her around
Elwyn a little bit, Stormwinda little bit. And then she took off
and just started soloingeverything and she ended up, she
ended up picking Borales. Shepicked. I could not believe that
(04:20):
she picked that expansion. Andbecause that is, as we've talked
about it before on the show, that is Jibs and I's. Those are our
favorite zones in battle forAzeroth. And she picked it and she
took off and she's. I thinkshe's level 25 now.
That's awesome.
She's hopped into Discord withus and you know, a few times I'll
(04:43):
like invite her to group andthen cruise out there on my, on my
Druid and I'll just like pickflowers while she's in the area playing.
And then, you know, if I seeshe gets in trouble, I'll just run
over and drop her some fat heels.
And do her thing.
But man, it has been, what atreat for a parent with a grown child
(05:04):
that wants to play games with you.
Oh yeah.
My gosh, I've been waitingalmost 22 years for this. Very, very
cool. Yeah, man. So that was, that was a lot of my Warcraft time
this week. The most of therest of it. I jumped back into retail
as I talked about last weekand got some things done. I got,
(05:27):
I ran some Mythics, did all myweeklies, and then of course the
latest Legion remix contentcame out this week and I hopped into
that. Now I'm just kind ofplugging my way through the last
part of Remix and my characteris ridiculously powerful. So I'm
(05:52):
not gonna lie, I'm just tryingto get bronze so that I can finish
off those collections. But I'mgetting kind of bored.
What are we now, four weeksinto this or a little more? A little
more than four or five weeks.
The story's good though. I amenjoying that, seeing that again,
which is. It's been a lot offun. I'm just kind of going through
(06:13):
slowly and taking my time, butI really am looking forward to diving
full force Back into retail, especially because, you know the
kiddos there now. So, youknow, like, we can run dungeons and
we can do all kinds of stufftogether. And I can show her the
world of Azeroth.
Absolutely. Man, that'sawesome. Wow. Yeah, that was a great
(06:34):
week. Did a lot of RP thisweek. Heavy role play week for me.
Heavy warlock week for me.Continuing to Warlock's a fun one
because I'm discovering thatthe more and more I play it, the
more I'm obviously learningthe class. But like, it's. It's like
you're. It's like you'relearning, but at the same time it's
(06:55):
rewarding along the way. Soit's not like, well, you'll eventually
get there. Eventually it'll befun. It's like, no, it's fun along
the way as you're learning. And so that's been a lot of fun.
Had a ton of fun just doing aton of roleplay and stormwind and
caught up with some oldpeople, old folks that used to roleplay
with and met up in game. Itwas a wonderful time seeing these
(07:17):
folks. And honestly, yeah, that and the show, man, that didn't
work.
When you say you caught upwith some old people, are you talking
about like some geriatrics orare you talking about friends that
you had in the past and you'renow doing a new roleplay thing together?
I should preface that. Yeah.So that was the second option. Yeah.
(07:38):
So our characters met, met upafter several months apart. I didn't
think they were playinganymore and there they were. And
so wonderful reunion. It was awonderful time. And anyway, yeah,
man, that's it. Grinding.
I thought it was. Jibs nowvolunteers at a convalescent home
and he's set up a land networkhealthcare for Azeroth. He's got
(08:04):
them all playing Warcraft, which, honestly, I have thought about
this.
It would be great.
I will be playing games untilmy fingers go necrotic.
Well, I told your daughter tomake sure she puts you in a home
that has AOL dial up.
First of all, F word to youfor telling her to put me in a home.
(08:25):
There's that. And second ofall, I kind of, when I really get
to thinking about it, I kindof wouldn't be that bummed because
it'd be like I can wander outof my room, I can saunter down the
hallway in my slippers andjust be a grumpy pisser to everybody.
(08:46):
They've made me breakfast, Ican sit down and I can have my four
Eggs and two pieces of baconand one poodle turd of sausage. And
then I can saunter my way. Iwon't even pick my feet up in my
slippers. I'll just zip, zip, zip, zip, zip all the way back to
my room, close the door, andlog into Warcraft until they find
(09:08):
me dead at my keyboard.
Oh gosh. Wow, that's hilarious.
It will have been a great life.
Jibs will have been a greatlife indeed. Yep, I'm gonna be beating
on the other side of the wall,so I'm your neighbor in there telling
you to.
Turn it down, grumpy old man.
Well, everybody, thank you somuch for hanging out with us. This
(09:30):
show is Warcraft for the restof us. So the nine to fivers, the
casuals, the parents, you loveWarcraft and you love Azeroth. But
you grew up playing it and yousimply grew up. The show is 100%
for you friends. This week onthe show. Well, actually it's episode
nine. We're one episode awayfrom our first 10 episodes, so that's
good.
We're nine years old.
We're nine years old. Youknow, Azeroth just can now drink
(09:53):
legally. It's 21 years old.That's the thing.
Oh, we should tote well, because there's world soul there.
That's true.
We should get her drunk.
Red flag.
Seriously, we should feed her whiskey.
Oh my gosh. Can you imaginethat in a theoretical. Well, never
(10:13):
mind. That's a rabbit hole. But anyway, this week on the show
folks, we got running on thegnomes, a brand new rp Add on role
players need to know about sixman groups. What? And so much more.
But we'll be right back afterthis commercial break.
Hey, hurry up.
Yee haw.
(10:34):
All right adventurers, gatherround, gather round. Welcome to Nizfix's
used Bruto lot. Home of thefinest slightly pre owned Brutosaurs
in the known world. Aw, sittight, buddies. They're so cute,
you just want to boop theirlittle noses. I said shut up. Well,
(10:58):
look at this beauty. Gemmedharnesses, sparkling stone, a slightly
used 20th anniversary edition. And yes, we spared no expense. Yeah,
they're pre owned, butdefinitely cheaper than the 21st
year models. I mean, who thehell can afford a new one? Am I right?
(11:18):
Prices? Well, only slightlymore than a gnome's wettest dream.
This one's a steal at. Well, let's just say you might need a second
job or a dip into grandpappy'spension to cover it. But come on,
can you really put a price ona broodosaur that carries all your
shit. You crappy friends.
You dance good.
(11:40):
And a fast talking auctioneer.Guaranteed to lowball all your bids.
And check this out. We gotdozens of Brutosaurs. Some shiny,
some rusty. One that sneezescoins. One that smells of rich mahogany,
Imron burgundy. And thatdeluxe model. That one survived the
(12:03):
cataclysm two raids and thevery unfortunate undermined vehicle
wreck. Not even a salvagetitle after all of that. Totally
fine. I swear. Now let me tellyou something. These beasties go
from flat footed to 20 milesper hour in six minutes flat. So
(12:24):
even the most well fit fatadventurers feel like a high seas
champion. Or at leastmarginally less than a turtle at
full throttle. Speaking ofwhich, we got those too.
Yahoo.
So come on down to Nizfix'sused brutal lot. Pick your own slightly
used overpriced brutasaurtoday. We promise not to laugh at
(12:48):
you if you try to haggle abetter price. And remember, they're
slightly terrifying, slightlymajestic and completely goblin approved.
And if one of our Brontoshappens to have a dead gnome stuck
in its hoof. Consider it abonus option. On the house. Hey,
come to Nisfixus. No discountsaccepted. We don't take no credit,
(13:09):
no incentives and definitelydon't give no warranties. And as
those big belly dwarves say,see you soon.
All right everybody, welcomeback Azeroth morning radio. Here
in your Azeroth morning. Solet's go ahead and get started with
the hero's call.
(13:32):
Hero's call.
I always feel so powerful whenI hear that voice.
That's what you get from thatis power.
Well, it's my voice.
I feel like you're mid. So Ifeel like you're like mid grunt.
Like mid poop. And you're likeletting it out.
Well that both out of yourmouth. That involves a certain amount
of power, buddy. We have pottyhumor. We are. We are grown ass men.
(13:55):
And we have stupid potty humor.
Who taught you to act like this?
We're all humans now, Jibs.
I know, I know. We really are. This is locker room talk right here.
We should act like humans. Weshould heroes call adventures. This
week I wanted to talk aboutsomething that I thought was really
neat. I think every week wetalk about something that's really
(14:17):
neat. But it's no mystery atthis point. Nine episodes in. You
guys hearing me talk with theheroes call board that I'm a huge
fan of player run events. Ithink they are so cool. We've talked
about a bunch of them thatwe've been involved in in the past
and you know, it's in it. It'sgoes far beyond roleplay this. A
(14:40):
lot of these events thatpeople do support good causes and
this is one that I learnedabout. I did not know, did a search
and found some really coolinformation on an event for breast
cancer awareness called theRunning of the Gnomes. This event
started back in 2009 when aplayer organization was a guild on
(15:02):
Scarlet Crusade came up withthe idea to roll level one gnomes.
And they would, when they didthe character creation for these
gnomes, they would make themwith pink hair to commemorate breast
cancer awareness. And if youguys didn't know, it's October is
breast cancer awareness monthand it's. It's a big deal. Like all
(15:23):
across the United States it'sa big deal. And like for, for us
at work we get to wear likespecial shirts that have, that have
like, you know, our logo inpink and stuff. And it's, it's just
really neat and it's, it's anationwide thing. So anyway, on Scarlet
Crusade this guild would gettogether rolled level one gnomes
(15:45):
with pink hair and they woulddo a run from gnomeregan to Booty
Bay. And they would do it inthe name of breast cancer awareness
to fundraise for thatparticular cause. Well, the charity
that they did was called thePink Fund, which obviously supports
people with breast cancertreatment and their related expenses.
(16:08):
And Blizzard found out aboutthis and wanted to get involved.
So Blizzard went ahead andinstead of it just being a regular
run through the world,Blizzard actually set up an official
starting line for their event. And this was in subsequent years
and still going on. They setup an official starting line for
(16:29):
the event in New Tinkertown, which is in the north part of the
zone. And they actually put aquest in the game that will guide
players through 40 gates alongthe route finishing in Booty Bay.
As you know, on this south tipof Eastern Kingdoms and they scattered
(16:51):
NPCs who would cheer you alongthe route. They gave, you know, the,
the pink hair runners a littleextra motivation as they, as they
ran. So they weren't gettingeaten by tigers because remember
these are level one gnomes andgetting through Stranglethorn is
probably a problem, you know, and whatever you do, don't have war
mode on. I just thought thatthis was such a cool thing. And again
(17:16):
it, it is an example of howthe community parallels things in
real life and how like lastweek, talking about extra Life which
benefits children's hospitals, this benefits breast cancer awareness.
And just how awesome thecommunity can be and how awesome
the developers at Blizzard canbe. Any developers really, in any
(17:36):
game, when they get involvedwith stuff like this, that is really
what shows me that thesearen't just developers that are showing
up for a paycheck. These arepeople who are, have a passion for
the gaming community and foreverything that surrounds it, including
real life. So you know, youthink about like what this is the
(18:01):
tiny gnome that runs acrossAzeroth to help millions. And that
is exactly what this is. Inany event, that's, that is like this.
And you just, you just. Itwarms your heart. It definitely warms
my heart because I'm old andsensitive now, but I love stuff like
this. I was young and sensitive.
(18:26):
Now that I've turned thecorner, now I'm old and sensitive.
No, I love this. I really do.I love, love, love this community
so much. The things that theydo, the things that they're involved
in. The fact that Blizzardtook in running of the gnomes and
made it its official thing ingame, it's amazing, man. Like, I
(18:49):
love that. I love, again, Ilove this community. The things that
they do, the things theybuild, the things they make. It's
the cosplay they, that they, Imean like painstakingly put together.
It's, it's just, it's amazing.All of it, all of it's amazing. And
you know, everybody doingtheir, their thing, whatever their,
their shtick is, whether it'sa podcast like we're doing or you
(19:11):
know, people putting togetherevents in game or you know, like
YouTubers, streamers. I loveall of it, man. And I just. You said
it exactly right. You know, like just the fact that this community,
you love community run things. And I certainly do too. It's really,
really special, right?
And it does, it highlightsagain how you know, a regular player
from everyday life that has apassion for something and you, I
(19:36):
don't know the story behindthis or behind the person that came
up with this idea and startedit. A lot of times it's, you know,
he, my mom had breast cancerand this, you know, I had breast
cancer and you know, I wantedto do something to support it, but
I think sometimes it's alittle easier for, for folks when
you have a platform. But whenyou don't like us, like we have a
(19:57):
podcast platform, you know, that four or five people listen to.
Well, those four or fivepeople are going to hear what we
have to say. Other peopledon't so to get something like this
off the ground from thatground level without a platform and
have Blizzard take notice toit, that is a feat. And it's. It's
pretty amazing how, you know,a small initiative can turn into
(20:20):
something that happens everyyear. And of course, you know, every
year they're going to bringmore people in. More people are going
to want to do the Pink HairRun. And I just. I think that little
things like this that happenin the community again, really make
the community what it is andshowcase so much more about the game
of World of Warcraft andAzeroth being a home for people and
(20:45):
not just a game. There's somuch more to it.
Yeah. Yeah. It really is awarm blanket for so, so many people
for so many reasons. And, man, that's special. So I actually have
something too to kind of goalong with the heroes call board.
Not normally doing this. Ifeel like I'm stepping on toes here.
On my toes?
Yeah, on your toes.
This is our show. You're notstepping on my toes.
(21:05):
I know. It just feel. I'm not.Don't normally do this.
When in Rome.
When in Rome. Yeah. So anyway,I was in Stormwind the other night
and I was doing some roleplay, just kind of walking around
and at the time nothing wasreally happening too, too much. And
I happened to mouse oversomeone's name and you know how Total
Roleplay three will. You know, like how you have your backstory.
It tells basically a tooltipof the player, right?
(21:28):
That's dangerous. Very dangerous.
Not dangerous. Just don't goto Goldshire. We all know. All right,
so anyway, I moused over thisperson and I'm not going to say their
character name, but I will saytheir name on curseforge is derosa
mg. And anyway, I moused overthere and their tooltip popped up.
Hey, this is my add on. Checkit out. Blah, blah. I'm like, well,
(21:49):
I'm going to check it out. SoI immediately go over. It's called
WYSIWYG and it's a new whatyou see is what you get editor designed
for World of Warcraft roleplayers who want cleaner, safer and
more expensive expressivemessages. It's basically like an
IM window that allows you totype in there. So instead of typing
directly, like, like wenormally do in the chat box, where
(22:13):
you can do like misfires orthere's typos or sometimes you could
get disconnected if yourmessages are too long. WYSIWYG basically
gives players a dedicatedcomposition window where they can
write revise and preview.Their messages exist exactly as others
will see them. And so it helpswith. If you need to put like raid
(22:33):
marker. A raid marker in chat,it helps if you're hitting enter
too soon, which I have doneand look like an idiot. Like mid
sentence, my character'stalking and then he's like, because
I hit enter. Or you may belike losing emotes or accidentally
like disconnecting orsomething. Basically it gives you
a window so where instead oftyping slash E and then typing I
(22:56):
can just type and know it'sgoing to go to the emote channel
and continue the conversationwith other role players. It's amazing.
If you are a role player, afan of it, like I am, go check out
this add on and give themsupport. This is a brand new add
on. As of the time Idownloaded it, there was 73 downloads.
So let's boost that up becausethis is an amazing add on for a lot
(23:17):
of people.
Everything that I know aboutroleplay Jibs has pretty much taught
me and we've had a fewsessions, a few. And it's actually
really cool. And I thinkagain, it is like a whole other dimension
brought to your gameplay andallows you, when you are actually
(23:37):
just playing the game, to getinto your character a little bit
more and you want to reallytalk about forgetting about the world.
Role play is the way to do it because.
Go do it.
Yeah, it really is a lot offun. And there are tools like this.
Like you taught me how to doit with the native UI and I actually
(23:57):
have a. I have a profile setup for RP where you just. You know,
I can just go and just changemy UI and then all of a sudden I
have like the larger chat boxand stuff. So you can do that. But
yeah, I could see where thiswould be an issue and where this
would be super helpful. So Ilove the way you found this. That's
really cool.
Yeah, yeah, they were. Theywere super kind. Anyway, wanted to
(24:20):
give them some love. So roleplayers go check this out. It is
called WYSIWYG on Curse Forge.Let's jump in the news.
Breaking news brought to allof you by the Goblin News Network.
Let's get started. So World ofWarcraft Midnight Bloodtream Ties,
the latest from ChristyGolden. I'm mention this real quick.
(24:43):
It is out. It is. And Imessaged her on Twitter and she was
so kind and responded backjust with some. We were just having
a quick passing conversation.Super kind. I'm in chapter four.
This is a prequel novel toMidnight by the Way. And this is
probably one of her bestnovels I have ever read. And I am
(25:04):
a huge fan of Rise of theHorde, Lord of the Clans. But her
pacing on this novel is sodarn good. And the characters, you
feel it. You feel the love, the tension, the things that are
going on. It's amazing. So,anyway, if folks, if you're like
us, like Cash and I both, like, we. We do both. So we'll read,
you know, like physical copiesof books, but oftentimes we're on
(25:26):
the go, so we go to Audiblefor our stuff. Anyway. You can go
find Blood Ties there onAudible. Phenomenal book. I don't
know if you had a chance tojump into yours yet, but.
Dude, I have not. But I dowant to give a very giant public
thank you to you for providingme that on. On Audible.
Oh, you're welcome.
And yeah, so I'm. I'm lookingforward to diving into that book.
(25:48):
I've been admittedly listeningto a lot of music this week.
Me too.
And podcasts this week. But,yeah, within the next couple of weeks,
I'm probably going to startchunking through that book. I just.
I want to give it a little bitmore time. So we're a little bit
closer to midnight, so it'sfresh in my mind.
Yeah, but.
But yeah, I love devouringthose books. And actually, I'm going
(26:10):
through the War of theAncients again right now for the
second time, so I'm abouthalfway through that one. And call
me a nerd, but I re. Listen tothe chapters where Cenarius is in.
He's in the Emerald Dream, andhe's. I just. I love those chapters
so much because it's so naturey and it's completely relates to
(26:33):
my character. And so, anyway, yeah, I did understand it the first
time. That was always a jokethat my dad had when I would watch
movies, like for a second andthird and fourth time, which, when
I was a kid, it was prettymuch Star wars. And his comment was
always like, what? You didn'tunderstand it the first time? No,
(26:54):
I got it the first time, Dad.I just really, really love this movie.
That's funny. Yeah.
So I have no problem crushingbooks a second or third time.
Oh, yeah. Same, same, same, same. Another one of those authors
for me is John Gwynne.Amazing, amazing author. But anyway,
phenomenal. Phenomenal book. Ican't wait to finish it. Christy,
I know you'll. You're probablynot, like, ever going to hear this,
(27:16):
but thank you so much againfor everything that you've done for
the Warcraft community overthe years. You are a writer of writers,
and we are such big fans. Sothank you so, so much for all your
hard work and dedication andyour labor of love, your true labor
of love through all the thingsover the years. You're just. You
are well thought of and wellloved. So thank you.
(27:36):
Best part is about that she. Idon't know if she's still playing
Warcraft. She's a Warcraftplayer. Like, that's how she started.
Yeah.
And, man, so much lore.
Yeah.
What an honor as a writer andas a fan of. Of Warcraft, of the
series to be able to write forit. Oh, my gosh.
Oh, it's the dream job, right?Yeah. You know, she's a role player
(27:59):
when she played.
I didn't. But it makes sense. It makes sense, but I did not know
that.
Yeah. Yeah. I learnedsomething every day. Don't you? Oh,
hey, also, here's in the news. The brutusaur's back.
Oh, I knew this one was goingto come up.
And I want to give a personalpublic thank you to my best good
buddy Cash, who decided togift said Brutus or to me, which
(28:19):
was quite a surprise. Andshock. I called him immediately,
like, take it back. You can'tdo this. I can't repay you. But he
did anyway, and he said, shutup and take it.
Those were my literal words. No, I think. I think my literal words,
like when I typed in thelittle, like, text box, when you
give something, I think Isaid, shh, just let it happen.
Just let it. That's exactlywhat you wrote.
(28:41):
Don't fight it.
That's exactly. This thing ishuge. It's huge.
Huge. And I think. I think itwas a principle of the thing when
it came back out, because, bro, it was literally last week when
we were talking about the brontosaur.
I know. Isn't that hilarious?
And guess what pops up? Notthat I think there's any correlation
(29:03):
to that at all. It was coming. We had no idea it was coming. It
was just a. A true coincidencethat this thing showed up the next
week and you sent me a messagelike, look what's back in the store.
And I looked at it and I wasdying laughing. So it's like, well,
I guess we're gettingbrontosaurus. And it happened. But
(29:23):
it's. It's pretty cool. And itto me was a bucket list thing. And.
Yeah, yes, I'm dumb. I know itwas a cash grab, but I wanted it
for my collection, so me.
You know what, man?
Now we got it.
Yeah, it's amazing, honestly,it truly is amazing. And, you know,
(29:46):
I know we kind of glossed overit earlier at the opener, but the
21st anniversary of World ofWarcraft, like, stealthfully arrived
and just quietly started and,you know, like, it's crazy to think
that Warcraft is now 21 yearsold. When it launched, I would have
been 16. I was 16 years oldwhen that game came out and now I'm
(30:11):
just like, holy cow. Like, this is just. It's crazy. It's crazy
to see how far it's come overthese years. The event is back. We
got some new mog in there. Andof course, on Moon Guard, the world's
always alive. So, I mean, yougo there and it's just full of people.
It's a sea of people in thatzone on Tanaris. And, man, it was
(30:32):
a really good time.
Yeah, I actually found outabout that when I logged in again.
You were right. It was. It waskind of stealthy. I didn't know it
was popping up and I'm sure itwas on the calendar, but I. I just
missed it. So I logged in thatday and immediately head down, headed
down to Tanaris and. And I'vealways loved that zone. So, you know,
(30:53):
getting down there and I thinkthe last time, I think I did a little
bit of it last year, but Inever really, like, dove into the
car, you know, the wholecarnival event that was there and
did all the quests. There's alot of stuff to do. And yeah, on
our server, it was packed. There were. There were tons of people
(31:13):
down there, so I had a goodtime doing it. Just running around
killing the bosses, doing allthe little events. The one that makes
you feel 100% inadequate isdoing the mount one.
Oh, gosh. You want to. Yeah, you want to feel lackluster, go do
that thing.
Yeah. And the way this worksis there's a big stage and there's
(31:34):
a host on the stage and shewill announce what mount she's going
to mount up on, and she willmount up on it. And then you. You
have like, I don't know,probably 20 seconds or something
to pull out the same mount andmount on it. And when you're in a
(31:54):
crowd, especially like on ourserver, there were people everywhere.
So I think at one point shecalled the. What's the name of the
tree? The treant mount, theone that changes with the seasons.
The. The grove guardian orsomething like that.
Yeah, something like that.
It's. I love this mount. It'sso Freaking cool. It's just. It's
(32:16):
a giant treant, and you canstand or you're sitting right on
the top of it, just like, youknow, like little Frodo did in the
Lord of the Rings. And thisthing is massive. And it changes
colors. The leaves changecolors for the season. So everybody
hops on this mount. I thinkeverybody and their brother had this
(32:39):
mount, and it just looked likea forest. It was so freaking cool
the way it looked wheneverybody popped up on the mount.
But I think there's 15different mounts per round that she
does, and I think the most Ihad of all the mounts that she did
in any round was like, six.
Oh, exactly. Same for me.
(33:00):
Yeah. And the people that havethe. The highest amount, when she
calls them out, obviously arethe winners or is the winner of the
competition. I'm like, yeah, Iwill never win this one. Like, that's
for the. For the true mountcollector, right? That just has tons
and tons of mounts.
Yeah, that's cool, too.
Yeah, it's. It is a coolevent, though. There's a. There's
a bunch of stuff like thatthat you can do in there. There's
(33:21):
one with. With Lore Walker Chowhen he's telling a story, and, you
know, you get to react to itwith all these emotes and stuff,
and then, you know, you get tocomplete the quest. But just a lot
of fun, a lot of celebratoryfun for the 21st anniversary. And
from what I understand, a lotof them are the same from last year,
(33:41):
but honestly, like, I don'tcare. I'll do them every year. They're.
They're really. It's just areally neat thing to be able to celebrate
the. The birthday of the game.
Yeah. Anything that brings thecommunity together is always a win.
That's why Blizzcon is such apowerful thing. You know, fans and
basically family in one area, and that's what just makes it so
strong and powerful. Andthat's agreed. Same with this. With
(34:01):
this event as well. So anyway, folks, jump in, enjoy it, have fun,
and happy birthday, Azeroth. You're 21. Still looking young.
Hey, yeah, Happy birthday.Sorry. You still got that sword in
your get.
All right, so here we go,folks. We're going to take our time
jumping through this onebecause this is a long one, so we're
(34:22):
just going to kind of break itup and talk a little bit about it.
So Midnight prologue, thewarning content Update goes live.
December 2nd now has beenmoved up to third. Actually, this
coming to us from Warcraft.comwhich, by the way, folks like Blizzard's
Facebook account put out thefact that the date had been moved,
(34:42):
but I never saw anythingofficial on the World of Warcraft
page on its actual account. Soit's. I believe this has been moved
to December 3rd and thenDecember 4th for EU. So we'll just
kind of go along with that as from.
Sure hope you're right.
Well, it was. It makes me feelweird. It's like I'm. It's like I'm
taking a step and then I'mlike, should I take that step?
(35:04):
Well, I'm gonna look at it,but I'm just double checking. Normally
big releases come out onTuesdays, Right. It's kind of a.
Kind of a gaming thing.
Yeah.
So if this changes, this haschanged to the Wednesday. That's.
That's kind of a big deal. Whywould they bump it back one day?
It may be looking at rightnow. Yeah, go ahead. You do that.
(35:25):
And I'll just keep going here.So Patch 11.7.1.2.7 closes out the
war within and opens the finalchapter before midnight. Players
continue the campaign invisions of a shadowed Sun. Dive into
revamped new new returningplayer experiences. Explore the Elven
Lore Walking scenario. UnlockPandaren Heritage Armor, which is
(35:45):
pretty cool. Enter ShadowlandsTime Walking. Finally revisit the
Brawlers Guild. Yes, please. And for midnight pre purchasers.
Can't wait for this step intohousing early access. What'd you
find?
Everything I'm looking at issaying December 2nd.
Now go to the Blizzard accounton Facebook. The Blizzard Entertainment.
Yeah, this is all sayingDecember 2nd.
(36:07):
No.
Wowhead, Reddit, the Wiki,Blizzard Watch.
No, go to the BlizzardEntertainment's Facebook page. You're
not even. You didn't even dothe one thing I gave you One thing.
One job.
Sheesh. Tryharder next time.
I'm not even gonna do it now.Requires me to pull up a different
window under a differentaccount. I'm not doing it.
(36:31):
Oh, I love this so much. Allright, so anyway, folks, continuing
the War within campaign,Visions of a Shadowed son. So the
big shout out, by the way toMr. GM, he put out a great overview
video of what this. What thislooks like. And so we're. We are
relying on that for a lot of.A lot of this discussion. So if you.
Anyway, if you want to go seethe actual video, go check it out
over Mr. GM's YouTube page.But. So with the ghosts of Koresh
(36:54):
defeated, a darker threatsurfaces. Verisa Windrunner is plagued
by visions, prophesying thefall of Quel' Thalas tying directly
into midnight. So anyway, highlights for this sets the stage
for the midnight expansion. It's going to be a heavy, heavy Windrunner
family focus. Oh, if you justknew what happened. That's been edited
out. You have no idea and youwill never know.
(37:17):
Maybe he said the F word.
I did not say that at all.Come to BlizzCon and we'll tell you.
All right. So.
So fully go F yourself. Azeroth.
I did not say that.
Okay.
Fully voiced with cinematicmoments. And then rewards the Carrick's
swiftwing mount mid campaignwhich that was something that was
kind of discussed Mr. GM'svideo. It's. It's unique so it's
(37:39):
not a end of the campaignreward. You're going to get this
reward right smack dab in themiddle of this, this entire campaign
experience. So can lookforward to that. And then also housing
early access is coming. Dude,we have been waiting for this since
the trailer dropped. Youremember that?
Yes, yes, we have. And we havesince found some different tools
(38:01):
and found out that there aresome vendors coming for remix in
order to find the things thatyou can buy. And through looking
through achievements and stufffor a lot of old content that you
may or may not have finishedin order to unlock certain housing
items. We have yet discoveredanother way to feel inadequate in
(38:25):
Azeroth because there's a.
Lot of stuff and there's thatadd on too I think you brought up
on an earlier episodehomebound. Homebound, yeah, you can
download. It doesn't haveeverything but you can see like what
it does list like where you'reat with achievements and what, what
furnishings you know that youmay or may not be getting, which
(38:45):
is pretty cool.
And they're actively addingstuff to that too, which is what's
cool about homebound. I meanthat is going to turn into an amazing
repository for items that arein the game as long as they keep
developing a lot of items thatare in the game that you can get
and what achievements they aretied to. Which again, if you want
to feel inadequate, go take alook at homebound.
(39:06):
Yeah, yeah, it's pretty. It'spretty awesome. Great download. And
so some of the features thatare coming in early access with the
housing it's room decoratingand decor collection which is around,
I think the Official number is2200ish items. Room layouts, neighborhoods,
both public guild and charterguild Neighborhood creation Legacy
(39:27):
Decor drops crafted decor viathe new lumber resource that Cash
was mentioning earlier. Flyingin neighborhoods which is going to
be fun. And then, of course, anew housing tutorial. And then alliance
will be in Founders Point andthe Horde will be in Razor Wind Shores.
I am very much looking forwardto having said neighborhood. I'm
(39:48):
TPing your house immediately.
Anyway, folks, a majoroverhaul for new and returning players
in the smoothest. What isbeing touted as the smoothest onboarding
World of Warcraft has everhad. If I could only have gotten
my daughter to wait, but shewas so eager to play. So I did think
(40:11):
about that, though. I thoughtabout saying, let's. Can you hold
for a few weeks? Because. Andthen I just went, nope, we ain't
holding. Build your character. We're going through the old. The
old newbie island, which wasfine. We had a good time. But yeah,
they are. They are majorlyrevamping the new player experience,
(40:34):
which is really supposed tospeed things up and steer you in
the right direction with lessconfusion, which I think is really
cool. So there's. There'sthings like the Exile's reach is
going to be with Jaina now.And Thrall and Wrathion and Jibs.
Favorite character who showsup and tells you what to do, but
(40:57):
never lends a hand.
Knowledge is powder. Wait, that's not right.
That's right. Mr. Khadgar isgoing to be part of this team.
Oh, man, you know, I surewouldn't. Well, that's spoilery.
I don't want to say that froma war with them.
Oh, Kadgar.
Oh, buddy. He's still kicking.
(41:17):
He's good boy. Which is why Iwas surprised you put him in the.
In the intro.
In the intro.
Yeah, he was in the intro. Youknow, we do the intro voice right
afterwards. Like last week.Don't you remember?
No.
At the beginning of the show.
Yeah.
Azeroth Morning Radio. Yeah,our show.
Yeah.
You put in a sound bite ofsomebody from the game.
(41:38):
Yeah.
Every week. Yeah. Who's 50 here?
Oh, that. I thought you meantthe intro. Intro to the show. The
files are inside the computer. That wasn't the. Not today. That
wasn't that today.
That was Khadgar, bud.
No, that's an undead. That's amale undead. Here, you wanna hear
it again?
Well, yeah. And you do itagain. Okay, here we go. And you
(42:04):
see, that's gotta be the samevoice actor as Khadgar.
Oh, no way. This is way better.
And you, and you. I can dothat too. With a goblin voice.
Hey, yeah. Hey. Yeah, you are.And you say you disappear. All right,
anyway, go ahead. Sorry.
Who are you again. Anyway.
(42:26):
All right.
Talk about derailment.
I know. Sorry, folks.
Okay, so anyway, with this. With this new cast of characters,
you are going to experience asa new player a faster transition
into Dragonflight, which isgreat. I think that's awesome. And
not only is it going to be afaster transition into Dragonflight,
(42:46):
but it's to going. Going to bean accelerated leveling experience
to get you into. Into Midnightas fast as possible.
Yeah.
So you go Dragonflight, Iassume war within, and then you drop
into Midnight. Right. So we'relooking 60, 70, you know, 60 to 70
and then 70 to 80.
(43:08):
Yeah. Then 80 to 90. Yeah.
And 80 to 90.
Yeah.
Yep, yep. I love it. I thinkthat's great. So there's going to
be a scenario with Jane andThrall through Arathi Highlands,
and that is going to teach thegameplay fundamentals. It's going
to provide a set of startergear in bags, which is huge. That's
the one cheat that I sent tomy daughter. Or bags.
(43:30):
You're a bag dealer. You knowthat anytime I was in the midst of
making my 1 of 1 million alts, you were always on par on could count
on it every time. Do you needbags? I'll get you bags. I'm like,
no, it's okay. He's like, Iknow you'd like to earn your own
gold, but do you need bags? He's. Oh, he's, you know, if you
need bags, cash is your man. Imean, he's an.
(43:52):
I'm your man.
He's a good man for that.
I don't want bags and bagspace and inventory control to be
a factor in whether or notanybody says effort. I'm not playing
this game. Do not want that.
Honestly, you should be avendor. You should be a vendor in
the npc. In the game that justsells bags. That would be your bags.
(44:13):
Get your bags.
That's hilarious.
We'll treat those bags underyour eyes too. Yeah. Yeah. Well,
I'm the bad guy. So I wasexcited about this new new Lore walking
scenario with a Lore Walker. Cho.
Yeah.
Is coming.
Yeah.
And that is going to detailthe elves of Quel'. Thalas.
(44:34):
Mm.
Yes. So it says. JoinLorewalker Cho to revisit core moments
in Blood Elf and Void Elfhistory. They're gonna cover the
Scourge attack on Silvermoon, the Lich King's assault on the Sunwell,
the corruption of the Sunwell, and the origins of the Void elves.
And what you get out of this,it's not a lame toy. You get The
(44:57):
Tome of Silvermoon Intrigue, which is for your house.
It's beautiful too. It's very,very beautiful. And honestly, it's
really cool they're doingthis. There's a ton of people within
the roleplay community thatplay blood elves and I know for a
shadow of a doubt they willeat that up. So that's, that's awesome.
That's cool.
Yeah. And again, we've talkeda lot about, you know, because we're
(45:19):
lord, we are definitely lorenerds. And if in a perfect world
we would be teaching you lore, which might still be a thing down,
you know, maybe bite sizedlore, you know, we.
Got a message about that.Someone asked us, they're like, we
got a, that's the nicestmessage from somebody that's followed
us for the last seven years onour shows. And they're like, when
(45:43):
you guys, please tell me youguys are going to cover lore. Because
that's normally what we'reknown for. That's normally our shtick.
I'm like, well, never saynever. But I'm like, he does bring
up a good point. Yeah.
And it's, it's not off thetable. I wouldn't say that it's off
the table, but when you lookat like the Karazhan Library.
Oh yeah.
And, and Noble, it's likethose folks are absolute beasts in
(46:06):
this, in this community. Andyou know, not that it would be like
a. Because we tell lore theway that we like to tell lore. We,
we do it in our own way. Wedon't change the lore. But we, we,
I, I think Jibs and I, in our,in our past, we've always been storytellers
and we, we enjoy that kind ofstuff very, very much. We were very
(46:27):
heavily involved in lore whenwe were covering. Oh yeah, Elder
Scrolls online games. It wascalled Lore Seekers. Yeah, exactly.
Because we, we definitely wereseeking lore and we got. You want
to talk about another gamewith some very deep lore, but Warcraft
lore is, it's deep. It goesvery deep. Like way more books, way
(46:51):
more stuff to dive into a tonof theory crafting about the lore.
So we're not saying that loreis off the table for us, but we just,
we, I think we need to figureout how we want to do it and it might
end up being a YouTube thingdown, down the road. You know, once,
once this show is, you know, going well and we, we feel very comfortable,
(47:12):
I, at least I know I will getthe itch to start creating videos.
So. Yeah, at some point.
Yeah, never say never.
But yeah, never say never. So,you know, back to Lore. Friendly
things. The Pandaren heritagearmor is also going to be a thing.
Return to the Wandering Islefor a new Heritage Quest line centered
(47:32):
around the Spirit Festival. And there's some rewards you can
get. There's a blue set forthe Alliance, a red set for the Horde,
a black set which is neutral, and the source is still unknown.
I love the cryptic stuff. Andit's difficult to get black items
in this game. Yeah, it is verydifficult. I remember you and I specifically
(47:58):
waited for the longest timefor a black cloak.
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
You're gonna have to remindme. I don't think that there is a
black hood for that cloak thatwe got.
Yeah, there is. Yep. I'll showit to you.
Must be buried in my stuffsomewhere because I was looking specifically
(48:19):
for it the other day. For theone that matches the cloak. The hood
that matches the cloak.
Yeah.
I could not find it.
I'll help you.
Okay. Yeah, I'm sure Iprobably have it, but. And then there
is a rideable hot air balloontoy which I'm sure will get used.
Oh, gosh.
I want raid lobbies everywhere.
I want that so bad. There'sgoing to be red balloons all over
or hot air balloons all over.Storm Wind. Man, I'm all about it.
(48:43):
Reminded me of that part fromNapoleon Dynamite. He's trying to
sell the Tupperware. The wifelooks at her husband, she goes, I
want that.
I want that. Oh, man.
Oh, my God, we're such doors.
Oh, that's good. And thenShadowlands Time Walking is being
debuted. So this is a new 10week cycle they're doing for this.
Shadowlands enters TimeWalking for the very first time.
(49:06):
Folks, whether you're a fan ofthis expansion or not, there's some
amazing rewards that comealong with this for Time Walking.
So includes the Dungeons,Necrotic Wake, Spires of Ascension,
Plague Fall, the Other side,Halls of Atonement and Sanguine Depths.
Oh, and actually gives youspecifics here. So three new mounts,
new transmog sets, new petsets, and part of the turbulent Timeways
(49:27):
event, which is returning. They were saying Wowhead was reporting
it was gone and now it's backagain from what I'm seeing. So, yeah,
December 3rd through February10th. But anyway, the meta reward
this time, the big reward youdo this for, I think it's five weeks.
It's Pterodon's mount voucher.Choose one of four bronze Shadowlands
(49:49):
Covenant Recolor mounts.
So really good time to beef upgear if you have alts, if you're
trying to get ready formidnight. And I think there's a reason
for this Shadowlands Timewalking being on a 10 week cycle.
First of all, people have beenscreaming for Shadowlands time walking.
Good dungeons.
Yeah, great dungeons. And thefact that it's running for 10 weeks.
(50:10):
This is going to be anexcellent opportunity to get your
characters geared up. Now Iknow we're going to talk about them
coming up, but this reminds meof our friend Stark who is a huge
fan of the other side andwants to see the other side on a
mythic rotation. Which I thinkwould be awesome because he. He's
(50:31):
right. Like Diada Sidemon is afantastic dungeon. Like one of my
favorite dungeons.
Oh, you missed me.
You know, I've only ever ranthat one time. One time. I have never.
I just not because purposelydidn't do it. I just never got to
(50:52):
really experience it one time.Literally one. I don't remember what
it is.
I will say there is. There's amechanic in there where you got to
kind of break off into groupsand you gotta like kind of go your.
Your separate ways. And if youdon't know that mechanic, I can imagine
how 100 unforgiving it's gonnabe be in mythic. I mean it's, it's.
(51:17):
It's like anything else in a.In a Mythic if you don't know the
mechanic, you're. You're gonnasuffer. Especially in those higher
keys. But yeah, the other, theother side is going to be one to.
If it does come to a mythicrotation right now it's, it's not
a thing. We're justtheoretically talking. If it does,
that's going to be one thatyou're gonna have to definitely pay
attention to that mechanic andknow what you're doing before you
(51:38):
even step foot in that thing.
Well, that's guaranteed Jib'sdirt nap because that's typically
my mythic experience. WheneverI try that stuff.
Guaranteed to burn my battle res.
Oh gosh. And so anyway folks, this is available and then something
that is coming up that's nearand dear to actually we're more curious
(51:59):
than anything because I don'tthink we've ever actually done it.
I know I haven't. Maybe youdid. The Brawlers Guild's coming
back. So this comes back onDecember 9th. So if you are alliance,
it's in Bismo's Brawl Pub,which is underneath the train. The
tram that takes you toIronforge from Stormwind Then Ogrimar,
(52:20):
it's the Brawgar Arena. There's new housing, decor, it's
available recolor flying mountand Bruce, a new color variant. So
there's that.
Yeah. And if you don't knowwhat the Brawlers Guild is, it is
essentially a series of. Of1v1 fights. You versus a boss. So
if you can picture likefighting the. The Kingpin was the
(52:43):
Kingpin. Yeah, yeah. If youcan picture fighting the Kingpin,
like that's what these fightsare going to be like. I don't think
they're going to be asdifficult, but it's a. It's a similar
system to that. And I don'tthink Brawler's Guild has been around.
It's been a few expansions.
Yeah. Was it Cataclysm?
I don't think that many. Ithink I want to say maybe Shadowlands.
(53:05):
It was around, but I thinkyou're right. It's coming back and
that's fantastic. Yeah, it'scoming back.
And by the way folks, Bruce isa alligator mount. So whenever you.
You see that, that's what'sreferring to. And then finally the
War Within Meta achievementworld soul searching. So zone spanning
meta similar to priorexpansions. Complete story exploration
(53:29):
and activity milestones acrosstime. Or the War Within. For a large
collectible reward. We gotsome pretty awesome stuff to look
forward to. You know, I'mexcited about this patch, man.
Yeah, we do. This is. It'sgoing to be a huge patch. We have
some friends that have hoppedinto, into the beta and we hear a
(53:50):
lot of giggles and oh mywords. And oh my G, that was awesome.
And there's a lot more cussingthan that. I'm just trying to dummy
it down a little bit. Buthappy stuff just because the things
that are coming in the betaare really good. And I do have to
hand it to some of ourfriends. They've been very good about
(54:11):
not spoiling anything becausewe hate spoilers. I would rather
just wait and watch.
Agreed.
And, but most, I think most ofthe stuff that our friends are doing
is looking at combat changes.
Yeah.
And seeing what. Figuring outwhat classes they want to play for
midnight. And it sounds likethere's a lot of really good stuff
(54:32):
coming and that the zones arejust drop dead gorgeous. So I'm.
I'm really looking forward tothat. I think it's going to be a
really good holiday seasonwith housing coming and the pre patch
and shortly afterwards in thenew year, we're going to be seeing
midnight.
Agreed. There you go, folks. We're going to Snark. We'll be right
(54:54):
back.
Snark online.
All right, folks, let me grabwhat it's okay. All right, so today
we have. Ooh, it's a new one.Goblin R and D Roundtable. All right,
(55:20):
let's explain how this oneworks. So quote, time to unleash
chaos on Azeroth responsibly.Ish. So whenever Snark spits this
out, the hosts gather to pitcha brand new wow feature, debate the
merits, mock the flaws, andspeculate on the chaos it might unleash.
From genuine clever ideas tocompletely absurd Goblin grade inventions.
(55:43):
No concept is too sacred ortoo ridiculous for the roundtable.
Dun, dun, dun.
Ooh, this one is new. I kindof know the topic, but admittedly
stayed away from this for afresh take on this R and D Roundtable.
Okay, when you want to talkabout the. The topic here and how
it came to be.
(56:03):
Yeah. So we were in Discordthe other day hanging with some friends
and we got to talking aboutsupport class, support role, the
support role itself withinWorld of Warcraft and kind of the
lifespan from launch to itscurrent state of the Evoker. And
you know, some people werekind of commenting about what it
(56:26):
was versus what it is now.And. And I think they were saying,
I've never played it, but Ithink they were saying that it's
kind of in a spot where it'snothing like it once was. And someone
brought it up in chat. I don'teven know who it was, but they said,
why don't they just make groupsize 6 players and immediately you
(56:49):
have a spot for the supportrole. It has a spot, a designated
spot within your group. And itkind of validates that role that
Blizzard was trying to bringto the game to begin with. With Evoker.
Yeah. And it was. We mentionedhim earlier, but it was our friend
Stark, who a lot of ourfriends are very convinced that he
(57:12):
works for Blizzard on theside, but we know he doesn't. He
just knows a lot about thisgame and has been playing it for
a long time because years agoI slipped the discs under his dorm
door at work. That is a storyfor a whole other show, but this
is a true story. And he hasbeen hooked on World of Warcraft
(57:33):
ever since. So he knows thegame very well. But this did come
up as we were talking aboutEvokers and the state that Evokers
were in a few years ago, acouple years ago, which is that if
you were going to run higherlevel content and you were An Evoker
in the support role. Like youhad a guaranteed spot to where they
(57:56):
would dump a DPS just to getthe buffs that the Evoker provided.
And it got to be a little bitridiculous and then they nerfed it
and now it almost appears likeI don't pay too much attention to
Evoker and that probably aterrible thing to admit as a podcast
(58:19):
host for World of Warcraftthat has evokers, but it is true.
And so nowadays I don't knowthat that support role is as wanted
or needed in game. So it. It.This is like a wall of crazy type
thing. This is all thisdiscussion is. If they were to increase
(58:41):
a group size to 6 and one ofthose spots was intended for a support
class, then not only wouldclasses like Evoker, the support
spec of the Evoker be coveted, but it would also open up more room
(59:01):
for more specs for all of theother classes to have some type of
a support role, whether it'sa. An off healer or a class that
provides a series of buffs. And we thought it was like a really
intriguing idea that if theywere to do that, not only can you
(59:21):
bring one more of yourfriends, but you can strong arm or
tickle fight one of thosefriends to level up a support class.
And like, no, dude, you'releveling a sport class. That's what
you're doing.
I tell you right now, if theyadded Tinkerer and that's its focus
was, was support, I would bethrough the moon, excited like, holy
(59:43):
moon.
Through the moon, baby, instead of over it.
Oh, that's what it is. Overthe moon.
I'm internally chuckling right now.
Yeah, no, man. Like I wouldjust be all about it. All about it.
And I love support roles. Ilove playing Torbjorn. You won't
know this, but when Overwatchfirst came out and Torbjorn was the
(01:00:06):
state he was in, you put downturrets and you just heal them and
you know, like you could overput them in overdrive and they would
assist everybody, right? Andyou got to be all strategic where
you put them. It's supportstyle. I loved that style of gameplay
and I Love it in MMOs. I loveit in Guild Wars 2. It's so enjoyable.
And the thing is, it's. It'sjust as unique. Seeing a good support
(01:00:28):
player, I feel like, versusseeing like maybe another class that
people really don't play. Butyou see someone who's playing it
and they do really well at it.It's like a really niche thing whenever
you play support. But thepeople who play it and play it well
and other MMOs, man, oh man,do they stand out. And yeah, I would
love, love to see that.
(01:00:50):
I think it would. It wouldcause a lot of people to go away
from their norm. Because asof, as of right now, the norm for
most players. If you're a DPSand, and you. And you care about
how tight your rotation is andyou care about the. The amount of
damage that you're puttingout, you're constantly looking over
(01:01:11):
at the damage meter. Whicheverone you're currently using, the one
that's going to go away or theone that's, you know, going to be
native to the game, whicheverthing you're looking at, you're looking
at damage. If you are a tank, you're still looking at damage to
see if you are out DPSing the DPS.
It.
It is just a thing.
Oh yeah.
If you're a healer, you haveit switched over to who's healing
(01:01:35):
the most in the dungeon.Because you don't want to be beat
out by a DK or a bear Druid. You never want to be beat out. You
always want to be the highestone. You know, that's just embarrassing.
So you're. If you're a healer, you're constantly looking at your
healing. If you're a dps, you're constantly looking at your
dps. If you were a supportplayer, it would be a split between
(01:01:59):
the two because support isgoing to be things like the Tinkerer
as an example. Again, folks, this is wall of Crazy type stuff.
If a Tinker class came in,they would have a mixture of both
support and dps. So you'rebuffing the party in some way with
some type of a kit that youlay down and then you transition
(01:02:21):
into doing some dps. That'show I would see a. Yep. A Tinkerer
class would be like, you'redropping turrets for healing. You're
dropping turrets for, youknow, possibly haste. You're dropping
maybe a turret for crit, andyou're dropping a turret to do some
(01:02:42):
off healing. So you would haveto be comfortable not being a slave
to those meters anymorebecause all your stuff's just going
to be spread out. But I lovethe thought of this a hundred percent.
You know what I would like tosee? And this is going to be nuts
as a support class? A combatmedic. Oh, some type of a combat
(01:03:09):
medic would be. Maybe it's ahunter thing. Maybe it's part of
a tinker class. Maybe it'spart. Maybe it's an additional spec.
A. Maybe it's a support specfor the priest where it's more of
a. I don't know, I guess youcould say a battle priest.
(01:03:32):
Mm.
Oh, man. But you would havethat good mixture of buffing off,
healing and doing DPS as asupport class.
Yeah. And, you know, you and Iboth most recently saw a support
role in a big way with theBard and Ashes of Creation before
we came to this project. Andthis. This would have been what,
(01:03:56):
like April? I think maybe lessthan that when we were last there.
And yeah, like we saw withthat class when they were running
certain spells that just whatit did for a group, how they could
help people maintain mana, howthey could boost their crit, boost
(01:04:17):
their haste. You had to pickwhat you were doing. Like, it's just
such a unique thing. You'rebasically a utility class, essentially
is just one big ball ofutility and you're choosing how to
give that utility to yourgroup. And it is so, so, so satisfying
when that is in an mmo, because you can see it, you know,
(01:04:39):
like right before your eyes, the input and. Or the impact that
you're having on your group. And so, yes, it would just be amazing
to have a 6 slot and adedicated role because then, then
the Evokers have their spot.Right. Then they could really focus
on the whole thing with theminitially. And look, I'll be the
(01:05:01):
first to tell you, I seeEvokers all the time whenever it
comes to PvP. They're present, they love their CC, they're present.
So you see them often, butoutside of that, you really don't
see them very much. And atleast I don't. And I do wish that
they had their place inWarcraft with what they were brought
to. Brought here to do. Andthat was to be a support class. So
(01:05:26):
I don't think that thisexperiment on support should, should
end with Evoker, you know, like, keep moving with it because
you have something there. Justkeep, keep, keep at it.
Yeah, you essentially end uplike, kind of like the water boy,
right? Pretty much just like, like a cheerleader on the sidelines.
And do you need Mama's wrong again?
(01:05:51):
Oh, yeah, yeah.
But like, you know, you'relike, like, do you need a drink of
water? Let me wipe that sweatoff your brow. You're doing a great
job.
Yeah.
Little pat on the druthers andthere they go back into battle. But
at the, you know, at the sametime, you're able to do dps yourself,
but you're multifaceted in alot of these things. And of. Of course
(01:06:12):
discussions like this aretheoretical and would create a crap
ton of work for Blizzard ifthey decide to go this route. But
I wholeheartedly agree withyour statement where you said I don't
want to see this supportexperiment die with the Evoker. That
is, that's gold. I truly thinkit is. Because if you could, all
(01:06:36):
you would need to do is justlike, just like we're saying, bump
the group sizes to 6, whichwas. We were so happy when we heard
this in Discord. We're like, this is a show topic. We, we have
to talk about that because itis totally true. But if you boost
that size of six and you boostup the ability of the group, what
else do you have to boost?
(01:06:56):
Difficulty.
Correct. So it's not justmaking a bunch more, you know, super
cool classes. That's a feat initself. But it's going to be balance
with the dungeons, whichthey're currently trying to do for
the current real size of thegroup, that is five. And I don't
know what that entails, butthat seems like it's, it seems like
(01:07:19):
it's a lot of work to.
Yep.
To have to, you know, scalethe dungeons the way that they're
doing. They're. They're tryingto make things not as complicated,
but they would have to ramp itright back up if they were going
to do something like this.
So let me ask you thisquestion. Should Blizzard commitment
to a real support pillarsimilar to Tank Healer and dps?
(01:07:43):
Oh, if you're asking me ifthey should, then yes, I think it
would be a fantastic additionto the game. But again, not being
a developer and not knowingwhat resources it would take to do,
I think it would probably taketwo or three years to commit to something
like that. So if we'retalking, you know, for the next world
(01:08:07):
saga that we end up doing, youknow, after these last two, then
that's like a dream for thenbecause I mean, just think you, you
would have to go through andmake an additional class or additional
spec for multiple classes, notjust like one or two more. It would
(01:08:27):
probably have to be three orfour more that you're making additional
specs for that are in thesupport role. Right. Do I think it
could be done with theresources that Blizzard has? A hundred
percent? Yeah, they couldtotally do it. But it would have
to be a commitment like theymade with housing, which took years,
you know.
Yeah.
Huge undertaking is what I'msaying. It would be But. And maybe
(01:08:51):
I'm gonna change should they.To. I. I really hope that they. They
would consider something likethat. It's.
Hope.
It's not that they. That theyshould because.
Yeah, yeah, agreed.
I am not finding a lack ofhaving fun in this game because it's
not there.
Right, agreed. The game'samazing. We love it. I mean, heck,
(01:09:12):
we're playing it every, youknow, weekday, every day. Like, you
know, it's just like a pipe dream.
We're breaking our own rulesabout being casual. But, you know,
we also have a podcast. Wehave a responsibility to know this.
Game well, AKA we need enabledso we can play.
AKA I need to quit my job so Ican play the game more.
(01:09:33):
Oh, there you go. Yeah, butno, I would love this, honestly.
And you're right. You'reabsolutely right. You know, like.
And I like that you said, youknow, like, taking should out of
it and just being hopeful thatone day they do. I agree wholeheartedly.
That's the verbiage I likeeven. Even, even more so. You're
right. It would definitely bea massive undertaking. Like, that
would be. That'd be a bigdeal. Number one, increasing the
(01:09:54):
group size. But on top ofthat, then you're adding brand new
specs. Like, that's a bigthing. Big deal. But man, oh, man,
if there was ever an IP ever acompany that could take a challenge
and crush it, it's Blizzard. They have proven it time and time
again.
So, yeah, they have. Theydefinitely have the. The resources
for it. And again, we're notdevelopers, so we don't know.
(01:10:15):
No, we just talk all of the.
Ins and outs of what goes inthis. And that's why from time to
time, we are going to talksome Wall of Crazy topics. But, you
know, not knowing all the workthat goes into it. We love Wall of
