Speaker 1 (00:00):
I seriously hope that it is not gonna be as
hot as it was yesterday today, because yesterday was just
absolutely miserably hot. It's one oh five nine The Right,
Nashville's Classic Rock. It's Battle in the Morning. They said
that yesterday was supposed to be like the hottest day
of the year. Oh it did definitely felt like it, thankfully,

(00:20):
though today it's not gonna be as hot as yesterday.
Uh ninety is the high today. Currently it's seventy six
degrees in Nashville. Welcome into Wednesday's show. It's one oh
five nine The Right, Nashville's Classic Rock. It's Battle in
the Morning.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
We got a lot of things to get into on
the show today. Coming up later this.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Hour six forty we'll play one Stupid Question for Holiday
World tickets, and then at eight ten we will battle
it out for Brian Adams tickets. But before we get
into any of that, let's take a look at what
is trending this morning. The FDA is warning consumers not
to eat certain frozen raw shrimp sold under Walmart's Great
Value brand. Inspections by US Customs prevealed that the presence

(01:04):
of a certain Sessium one thirty seven, a radioactive isotope
in containers from the shrimp's Indonesian supplier, PT Bajari Mackmore Siggetti. Yeah,
radioactive shrimp apparently was sold well. Contaminated samples didn't enter

(01:25):
general US commerce. The FDA issued an advisory to throw
away matching products and prohibited further imports from that supply.
Could you imagine you're eating shrimp and then you find out, oh,
this is a radioactive shrimp. I wonder if you get
like some sort of like superpowers like Spider Man, if
you eat it or you just die, I would probably
say you just die, right?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Oh boy? So yeah, if you have.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Great value shrimp that you bought from Walmart, you might
want to throw away because well they said it wasn't
near but possibly radioactive shrimp. Didn't have that on my
bingo card for twenty twenty five, we'll want to.

Here's it's one O five nine of the Roe, Nashville's
classic Rock. It's Battle End of the morning. Welcome in
to Wednesday's show. Now, I will tell you the thing
that I love that we have been accomplishing with Battle
it out that we do at eight ten is we'll
start to throw out songs that we don't normally play
on one O five nine in the Rock. Right, It's

(02:52):
been great doing this. Yesterday we played Alice Cooper's Feed
My Frankenstein. So I'm excited to see what songs you're
going to pick today. And speaking of songs, there's a
company called media Base, and we use this for a
lot of like research things.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
With with this station. And they have sent over a
list to us of.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
The most played songs this year on one oh five
nine in the Rock.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
And I look at this list and I'm like, yep, yep, yep, yep.
We play that a lot too.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
The number one most played song on one oh five
nine The Rock.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Can you guess it's here? It is? That's right. Bon
Jovi's Living on a Prayer is the number.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
One most song played on one O five nine The Rock,
followed by Guns and Roses, Welcome to the Jungle, followed
by Guns and Roses, Sweet Shot of Mine, followed by
White Snake, follow by bon Jovi, So White Snake, Here
I go again.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
It's number four. You give love a bad name. It's
number five on the list.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
So hopefully with battle it Out, maybe we can change
that list up and do something different.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I don't know, but yeah, we'll.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Battle it out at eight ten later this morning, and
right now we'll get somebody on the phone to play
one stupid question. Six one five seven three seven one
oh five nine is the number if you want to
win Holiday World tickets.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I have a pair of tickets for you right now.

you can go home and sleep for the rest of
the day. All right, David, you're ready to play one
stupid question. Here's the deal. I know that you have
been working all night long, so I'm gonna make this
super easy for you, so hopefully you get this right. Marshmallows, chocolate,

(05:17):
and Graham crackers are common ingredients for what popular campfire
treat s'mores?

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Is s'mores? Your final answer, David?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Yes, it is very confident in that answer.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Very comfident. You gotta right, David.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Congratulated my friend, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
David.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Now you should go celebrate by eating some smores because
you are going to holiday World.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Tell us what station tooking you up?

Speaker 1 (05:45):

put you on a brief home, We're gonna come back

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Thanks for hanging out here with us on your home day.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, halfway through the work week, and it looks like
we got a little drama on the show this morning.
Tabitha is sitting on hold and she's in a little
bit of a conflict in the neighborhood involving her kid
and the neighbor's kid.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
We'll talk about that after Elton John.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
The great thing about this show is if you ever
want to be a part of its six one five, seven,
three seven one oh five nine is the number. You
can be a part of the show anytime you want.
If you ever have a thought, opinion, or if you
need some advice from the rock fan, We're all here
for you. And Tabitha's got some bit of an issue
with the neighbors and the kids and time. I know

(07:02):
you've been on hold, So tell me what's happening and
let's see if we can figure this out.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Yeah, well, my son wasn't invited to his best friend's
birthday and it's coming up. So I was wondering would
I be a jerk if I confront the mom? I mean,
if I did it nicely, you know, like, hey, why
wasn't my son invited? Just checking?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Are they cool?

Speaker 6 (07:21):
So I need advice because like a piece of me
doesn't want to make a scene, but you know, it's
my son and he seems really disappointed, so I want
to do it for him.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Right, And I see where you're coming from with this
this question. And this is the neighbor kid, right, Like
you guys live pretty close together.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
We see each other every day.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Okay, Now that that's very weird, the fact that they
didn't get the invite and they see each other every day.
So let me see if we can we can figure
this out and find out if this is wrong, if
you've been a jerk or she has to let it
play out and see what happens here.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
So let's let's do this.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Six one, five, seven, three, seven, one oh five nine
is the number if you want to jump in on
the show.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Do you think.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Tabitha is a jerk or not? If she confronts the
mom and says, Hey, your kid and my kid are
best friends, where's his invite to the party.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Let's take your thoughts on this. We'll take your phone
calls next.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Six one five, seven, three seven One oh five nine
is the number if you want to jump in on
the show.

Speaker 5 (08:25):

message to six four eight.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
What's in your wallet.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
A little bit of drama unfolding on the show this morning,
not with me, because there's really nobody in this room
to have drama with. Six seven, three, seven, one oh five.
Nine is the number if you want to jump in.
Tabitha called and said that her son did not get
invited to his best friend's birthday party their neighbors. And
she was like, am I a jerk if I confront

(09:52):
the parents and ask why a little timmy didn't get
an invites? Or do I just let it be? Here's
my thing? And I've got Rob on the phone and
I'll I'll give you my thoughts. But Rob, what do
you think Tabitha should do in this situation?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Confront the mom?

Speaker 8 (10:05):
Just asked her, Hey, he didn't get an invitation? Did
he get left off the list?

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Just touching base with you guys to see what's going on.

Speaker 6 (10:12):
Keep it light, keep it airy.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah, And I think if you keep it light, you
keep it airy, I think things would be fine. Right
And as a parent myself, planning your kid's birthday parties
very very overwhelming, I will say, because like, you gotta
get this, you gotta get that, the balloons, the decorations,
the pizzas.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
The cakes, all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
So it could have been one of those things where
they were going to invite little Timmy, but maybe it
was going to be a vocal invite instead of a
actual like invitation on a card. Right because they lived
next to each other. I think maybe they were just
overwhelmed and they were gonna just text the mom and
be like, hey, Jimmy's having a birthday party. We want

(10:53):
Timmy here, And maybe that's what could have happened.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Rob.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
I appreciate you calling in this morning, brother, absolutely, And
if you want to jump in on the show, six
one five, seven, three seven, one oh five nine is
the number.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
We'll take more of your phone calls next.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Six one five, seventh, three seven, one oh five nine
is the number if you want to jump in on
the conversation. This morning, Tabitha called in and said that
her son did not get invited to his best friend's
birthday party and they are neighbors, and she was like,
am I a jerk or not? If I confront the
mom and say, hey, where is uh, where's my kid's invitation?

(11:28):
I know that there's a birthday party coming up. Six
one five, seven, three seven, one oh five nine is
the number if you.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Want to jump in on the show.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
This morning, let's go to Rachel hanging out with us
in Mount Juliet.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Rachel, what do you think?

Speaker 8 (11:41):
Yeah, I think she's being a jerk. I mean you
can't expect I mean, so why so you know each other,
your neighbors, and.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
You know your friend.

Speaker 8 (11:48):
Can't you can't expect to be invited to everything or
be invited to everything.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
Yeah, I think she's.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Being a jerk.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
She shouldn't ask, she shouldn't put that person on the spot.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yeah, and that that is a very tough thing because
then if you're the parent and you're just that there's
that awkwardness of the conversation of like, why did my
kid get invited? Rachel, I appreciate you calling in this morning.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Six one five, seventh three seven, one oh five nine
is the number if you want to jump in.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
You give your thoughts and opinions on this, we'll take
more of your phone calls next. Six one five, seven,
three seven, one oh five nine is the number if
you want to jump in. Tabitha called in earlier in
the show since she's in a little bit of a
situation her kid did not get invited to his best
friend's birthday party their neighbors, and she wants to know
should she confront the mom or not.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I asked your thoughts on this. It's one oh five
nine the Rock High. Who's this? Oh hi, this is Tanya.
Tanya all right, let me.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Ask you what are your thoughts on this situation that
Tabitha is in.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
Well, my first thought is that these are they're not
really best friends, because this just wouldn't happen if these
were two best friends. There's no way, no how that
her child wouldn't be invited to the birthday party. So
I understand the frustration. I think that what I would do,
not to like kind of get to the bottom of
it but not look like a jerk, is just say, hey, friend,

(13:07):
you know, like, what does what does Billy want for
his birthday? And see if that might answer the question
for you.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Oh see, I didn't think of that.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
That's a good way to kind of, you know, do
that whole light and air that Rob was talking about
early earlier, ask what the kid wants for the birthday party,
and then they could just be like, well, he wants this,
or hey, by the way.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
He wants this. His birthday party, says you know, Tanya,
I like the way that you think that is.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
A fantastic idea, So Tabitha, I feel it like that's
the way you should handle this.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
You didn't get the invite.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Ask what little Timmy wants for his birthday and then
go from there. So hopefully you got something from the
rock Famine can help you moving forward.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
I want to join the show, hit.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
The red, talkback mic on the Free, iHeartRadio Azze, and.

and play the Scorps because from my understanding, people calling

Powerball jackpot six hundred and forty three million dollars. What
is the first thing that you would buy if you
won the lottery? Now, I posted a video up on Instagram,
if you want to go comment on it. I would
say the first thing that I would buy if I
win the lottery, it wouldn't be something stupid like I
thought in the past, like a giraffe or something. I

(22:20):
would actually buy a Chick fil A franchise because it
costs you like ten thousand bucks to buy the franchise
and then you got to buy the land and all
this other stuff.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
But when you hit the lottery, you can easily.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
Buy the land and everything, and then you just basically
print more money when you own your own Chick fil A.
And I'm sure you can also go in there on
Sunday and make Chick fil A when you're craving it. Uh.
But there's a video posted on our instagram Powerball. If
you win the lottery, what's the first thing you're buying?
You can go comment over there on our Instagram at
