Speaker 1 (00:00):
Rise and Shine. Welcome into Monday Show. How are you
doing so glad that you're here with us on a Monday, Man,
we got a lot of stuff to get into on
the show today. Coming up here later this hour six
forty we'll play one stupid question for holiday World tickets,
and then at eight ten we will battle it out
for a super secret concert ticket. Yeah, I can't tell
(00:23):
you who it is, but you're gonna want to be
at this concert. So eight ten we'll have those super
secret concert tickets for you when we battle it out.
Let's take a look at what's trending this morning. The
Titans picking up a win on their final preseason game
of the preseason. Yeah, they ended up beating the Minnesota
Vikings Friday night over there at Nissan Stadium. Now, the
(00:44):
teams have to get their final roster down by tomorrow
at three o'clock. Fifty three is what they got to
go from ninety to fifty three. That's gonna be insane
to see how that's gonna play out. Also, the Powerball
jackpot has grown to seven undred and fifteen million dollars
after no winner was drawn on Saturday night, making it
the tenth largest prize ever, the cash value estimated three
(01:07):
hundred and thirty eight point six million dollars. Saturday's winning
numbers were eleven, fourteen, thirty four, forty seven to fifty one.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
With the powerball being eighteen h two.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Tickets matched all five white balls in New York and Maine,
with a third in South Dakota. No one has won
since May thirty first, when a California ticket claimed two
hundred and four point five million dollars. Now the odds, well,
if you win in the power ball one and two
hundred and ninety two point two million, so the odds
are in your favor. I guess the next drawling is
tonight be a part of.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Battle in the Morning calls six one five seven three
seven one five nine one the rock.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
It's one o five nine in the RDE Nationville's Classic Rock.
It's Battle in the Morning. You know that that that's
saying back in the day. Oh man, they're a butterface, right,
you know, like everything looks good butterface. Yeah, okay, apparently
butterface is no longer it's hem anymore. They're using the
word shreking. Oh boy, it's one oh five nine. The
(02:05):
Right Natural's classic Rockets Battle in the Morning. Yes, shreking
is when you date someone you're not attracted to because
you think it means they'll be nice, but then it
turns out they're ugly and a jerk.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Isn't that what you just call an a hole? I
don't know why we.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Have to keep coming up with new terms for it. Hey,
he's an a hole, that's it. You know, have to
be like, oh, that dude's.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Shreking or that girl's shreking. No, they're just an a hole.
That's all you gotta say.
Speaker 1 (02:30):

(02:51):

We'll play one stupid question.

I'm gonna put you on a brief poll. We're gonna
come back to you. Grab your information, my friend. Will
you ask you one stub question?
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Answer? Price in the Morning, The Rock Nashville's Classic Rocks
one O.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Five Now the Right Nashville's Classic Rockets, Battle and the Morning.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Hey, coming up. I have got Sarah on hold from
the borough.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
She's in a little bit of a situation something I'm
sure we've all been, especially if you have kids that
play sports, and she's trying to figure out what she
should do. We'll hear from Sarah and get your thoughts
after ac DC twe O five now in the right
Nashville's Classic Rockets Battle in the Morning. If you ever
want to be a part of the show, you can
pick up that phone and call us six one five
(04:43):
seven three seven one oh five.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Nine is the number.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Or if you listen on the iHeartRadio, you can always
hit that little red microphone button.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
We call it the talkback Mike.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
I've got Sarah who's been on hold. She is in
a little bit of a dilemma at the moment. She
doesn't know what to do, but she thought, hey, you
know what, the rock fam seems to usually offer up
good advice, so she wants to get your thoughts on this.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
So Sarah, tell me what's going on.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
So I have this amazing thirteen year old son. He's
just a phenomenal kid.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
He's pretty much.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Greeted everything he does except oh, basketball, Yeah, he's just
not good. We go to the games and he doesn't
get played a lot, and when he does, he's you know,
really far away from things. People don't pass the ball
to him. My husband thinks that he we should have
convinced him to quit. You know, it's costing us a
(05:34):
lot of money. We're traveling a lot.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
What should we do.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Here's the thing is, I think it sounds like maybe
your husband is tired of paying for the sports, right.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
He absolutely is. These jerseys are wild.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
And let me tell you as a parent of two
kids that played sports, travel, ball, all this other stuff. Yes,
sports are not cheap whatsoever. And I see where like
he's coming from of like, hey, maybe we should stop
because it's costing a lot of money if he's not
that good. But also at the same time, like I
thought the same thing about my youngest kid when he
(06:12):
was playing flag football. I was like, ah, maybe flag
football is not his thing. And then we just found
out that it was not him. It was more or
less the system that he was in. And then now
he's thriving. So maybe not give up so quickly on
the kid. Maybe help him out, maybe get him some
lessons here or there. But we'll we'll let the Rock
fam decide on this one to see if you need
(06:32):
some help on this. If they disagree what side they're on,
should you stop making your kid play basketball since he's
terrible at it. Six one five, seven, three seven, one
oh five nine is the number. We'll get your thoughts
and take your phone calls next.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Nash Classic Rock Rock.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
You know a lot of people have thoughts and opinions
on sarah situation this morning. Six one five, seven, three seven,
one oh five nine is the number she said. Her
husband says that they should stop making their some play
sports because he's terrible at it. She disagrees, and she
wants to get your thoughts on it. Dwayne's on the phone, Dwayne,
what do you think about this man?
Speaker 4 (07:10):
My personal opinion is number one as the kid. The
kid knows whether they're good or bad, and if they
feel like they can get better, get them some help
to get them better. Yeah, you know, don't.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
Give up on them so quick.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I've got two boys, one play football, one play baseball.
They didn't like the other.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Sports, so they never even flat.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
I mean, they had what they liked and that's what
I stuck with.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Right.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
There's those things of pushing any kid to doing something
they don't really care to do.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Absolutely, I was in that predicament earlier because my youngest
Liam really great at baseball. Really great at football. He
decided he came to He's like, I don't want to
play baseball anymore. I was like, okay, cool, football it is.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Then.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
I'm a firm believer. Just because they're kids don't mean
we had to talk down to them or treat them
any differently than humans. I mean they're all here, right yep.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Lave it up to them, absolutely, Dwayne.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I appreciate you calling in this morning and be a
part of the show.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Man. Have a good night you too, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Six one five seventh, three seven, one oh five nine
is the number if you want to jump in a
little bit of a debate going on right now. Sarah
called in. Her husband said that they should stop making
their kid play sports because he's.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Not good at it. She disagreed. We'll get your thoughts
and more of your phone calls next. Six one five seven,
three seven, one oh five nine is the number.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Six one five seventh three seven, one oh five nine
is the number if you want to jump in on
the show. Jin and Gillettsville. You got a thought on this.
You're kind of agreeing with the dad.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
You start with that you do not force your son
to do anything, especially when it's costing money, and if
that money and something that your son really wants to do, yeah, period.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
And see, I see where you're coming from on that one,
because if it is costing a lot of money, you
can use that money towards something else that the kid
really wants to do. But there's really no getting that
money back once you've already started, because the beginning of
the season you have to pay all that money, and
so you can't really get the money back, So you
might as well just make the most of it, right
Six seven, three seven, one oh five nine.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Is the number?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
What are we thinking on this situation? Sarah called in
Her husband says that they should stop making their son
play sports because he's terrible at it. She disagrees. Which
side are you all? We'll take more of your phone
calls after the crew.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
It's five nine rock.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Sarah called in earlier and said that her husband thinks
that they should stop making their kid play sports because
he sees terrible at it, and she disagrees, and she
wants to get your thoughts on this.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Six one five, seventh.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Three seven, one oh five nine is the number. It's
one oh five nine in the Rock. Nashville's Classic Rock.
It's Battle in the morning. Let's go to Sean in Brentwood, Sewan.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
What do you think, man, I think the husband wins
this argument. If the kid's not good at it, he's
not enjoying it. Just keeping him there is torturing him.
I say, take him out, find something that he does
like and can get exercise from.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Enroll him in.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
That, and you see, Sean, I agree with you for
the most part.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I feel as.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
If, though, if you have a kid in a sport,
and let's say that you know in this situation that
they're in he's not that good, I think you still have.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Him on the team. I think you still make him
finish out the CEG. Don't make him quit, because.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Not only are you, you know, showing him that it's
okay to hey, if you're not good at something, you
could just quit, but you also hurt the team as well,
because there could be a time where an injury bug
hits the team and they got to use him, and
then they can't because he's quit the team.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
I mean, this has happened to my youngest kid before.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
They're in one of his flag football teams where we
had two kids quit in the middle of the season
and then it was just NonStop. Everybody had to play,
but also when kids got hurt, it kind.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Of made things more difficult for us. Six one five seven,
three seven, one oh five nine.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Is the number If you want to jump in on
the conversation. UH Sarah has a situation going on. Her
husband says that they should stop making their kid play sports,
he's terrible at it. She disagrees. What side are you on?
We'll take more of your phone calls next. Six one
five seven, three seven, one five nine is the number one.

only like you know, it's got to be something that
everybody knows, right, But it could be a band that
we normally play here, but just a song that we

The top ten list, which sucks. The least fund state
in America. West Virginia. Yeah, there's nothing really fun to
do in West Virginia. I'm just baffled how Tennessee is
not on the list like Nashville's fun. I bet Memphis
is the one that dragged us down. It's Memphis because
there's a lot of fun stuff to do in Knoxville.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
There's a lot of other fun stuff to do in Tennessee.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Memphis, there's not a lot of fun stuff there other
than Gracelynn and the Big Bass Pro Shop.
