Mrs. Erin Kay (00:00):
Welcome to the very first episode of the Ben
Lippen podcast.
My name is Erin Kay and I amthe high school counselor here
at Ben Lippen, and ourcounseling team is just over the
moon excited about this podcastand what it's going to bring to
our Falcon families and beyond.
Parent education is animportant component of who we

(00:22):
are at Ben Lippen and werecognize that sometimes coming
to Ben Lippen to absorb theknowledge from our experts can
be a challenge.
So in order to overcome thatchallenge, we decided to take a
small pivot and provide someamazing parent education for the
school year through the BenLippen podcast.

(00:42):
And what's really exciting iswe already have some of this
content recorded and ready to go.
And let me tell you it is just,it's so exciting and I just I
can't wait for everyone to beable to take part of this.
So our first expert I want totell you a little bit about him.
His name is Chris McKenna andhe is with Protect Young Eyes,

(01:03):
and Protect Young Eyes is anorganization that helps people,
helps parents, helps faculty, staff, and students create
tech-ready and tech-safe homesto the degree that we can, and
also provides education onupcoming trends, how apps are
being used, so that we canapproach our children through a

(01:25):
biblical worldview when it comesto technology.
I know this has been a pointof interest and prayer for a lot
of our families.
So, Chris McKenna will be ourfirst guest expert and he will
be for the next five episodes.
And let me tell you again, thiscontent he's providing, it's so
valuable.
I learned a lot through myconversations with him.

(01:47):
The beautiful thing aboutpivoting to using a podcast
versus in person is we can sharethis information with Falcon
families and beyond.
You'll be able to take theseepisodes and share them with
your friends and family and wereally have the opportunity to
take this education, thisbiblical worldview education on

(02:12):
relevant topics around the world.
Also, the beauty of this isyou'll have the opportunity to
listen to the content over andover and over again, which
you'll probably want to do withthis next series, because as
your seasons of life change withparenting, you might need a
different look, a differentviewpoint on the information
that he shares, or you mightforget something, or you might
want to share it with your childafter you've listened to it.

(02:34):
So this provides our Falconfamilies the ability to listen
to the content over and over andover again.
So we are so excited to bringthis new format to you and we
look forward to hearing yourfeedback on how you love the Bin
Lippen podcast.

(02:55):
