SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Is possession on the
rise?
SPEAKER_01 (00:03):
The devil wins when
he convinces you he doesn't
exist.
The devil hates Latin.
SPEAKER_00 (00:08):
Why do you think he
hates Latin?
SPEAKER_01 (00:09):
Because it's the
language of God.
It's the language of the church.
God says to get out.
SPEAKER_00 (00:24):
Does anything happen
when you're sprinkling the holy
water?
Oh,
SPEAKER_01 (00:26):
of course, yes.
I've seen live worms come out ofpeople.
SPEAKER_00 (00:31):
Hail Marys and
sprinting at the same time.
SPEAKER_01 (00:34):
I have seen that
happen.
SPEAKER_00 (00:36):
Okay, I want to take
it way back, even before the
exorcist stuff.
What drew you into priesthood?
SPEAKER_01 (00:42):
That's a long story.
I'll keep it as short as I can.
Halfway through high school, Irealized that nobody was
noticing if I went to church onSunday or not.
So I stopped.
It was a boarding high school, you know, one of those military
high school type things.
And it was mostly non-Catholicpeople.
(01:02):
But there were a few Catholicsthere.
And we were supposed to go offto our local church on a Sunday,
whereas all the others went tothe church in the school.
And no one was watching me, so Ijust quit.
And it wasn't until I was about25 that I started coming back to
church again.
Now what had happened in those10 years was the Second Vatican
(01:24):
Council.
So when I stopped going, it wasall in Latin, all on your knees,
beautiful.
And when I came back, I wentinto a Catholic church, and they
were talking in English, andthey were reading in English,
and they were singing inEnglish, and I walked out, and I
thought, I'm in a Protestantchurch, because I didn't know
(01:44):
about any of these changes.
And I went out, and I looked atthe sign outside, and it said,
such and such Catholic church, and I thought, what?
So I went back in again, and Ijust sat, and then I got used to
it, the new changes, the new useof English language, or other
languages as well.
At about that time, there wasthis little nagging feeling in
(02:07):
the back of the neck here, youknow?
You're supposed to be a priest.
The calling.
The calling, the vocation, yes.
And I fought it for anotherthree or four years.
And then eventually, the priestat my parish that I was going
to, I was going every Sundaynow, he said, you know what, I
think you should go and talk tothe bishop.
(02:28):
So he sent me off to the localbishop, and the local bishop
interviewed me, and he said, soyou want to be a priest?
I said, I don't know.
He said, I think you do.
And he sent me to seminary.
Oh, that's cool.
So that's what happened.
SPEAKER_00 (02:40):
Okay, great.
So it was
SPEAKER_01 (02:41):
God's work.
SPEAKER_00 (02:42):
God's work.
We're all called in a differentway or form.
Absolutely, absolutely.
How does one go from being aregular priest to being called
to do exorcisms?
SPEAKER_01 (02:52):
What happened was I
had this phone call one day from
the vicar general of thediocese.
And he said, oh, Steve, he said, the bishop wants you to be the
exorcist.
I said, what?
UNKNOWN (03:05):
What?
SPEAKER_00 (03:05):
That's a big job.
That's like a huge job.
SPEAKER_01 (03:09):
Yes, it is.
It is.
Now, funnily enough, I alreadyhad this book, The Official Rite
of Exorcism.
I already had it because I likeold books.
And it's in Latin, and I likeLatin.
And I hadn't read the exorcismprayers specifically, but
there's a lot of other stuff inhere too.
There's lots of prayers, blessings of this, blessings of
(03:32):
that.
SPEAKER_00 (03:32):
And you've read that
book in its entirety?
SPEAKER_01 (03:34):
Well, mostly.
I wouldn't say read it, but usethe prayers.
It's full of prayers.
It's called the Rituale Romanum, the Roman ritual.
This is about 150 years old, this particular copy, this book.
And I have got some older onesin that too.
So it turned out...
So I said to him, I've got tospeak to my spiritual director
(03:55):
about this.
So he said, okay.
He said, can you give me aresponse in a week?
I said, well, that's quick.
He said, a week.
So I said, okay.
So I called my spiritualdirector up, and he's a good
guy.
I've known him for years.
And he said, okay, three thingsto think about.
How does your mind think aboutthis?
(04:17):
how does your heart think aboutthis how does your stomach think
about this so i sat down and ispent three or four days praying
about it and my head was sayingyou know you can do this and and
this came out later on one ofthe reasons they asked me was
because they know i know latin
SPEAKER_00 (04:36):
oh they know
SPEAKER_01 (04:36):
that they knew that
and my mind was saying you know
you can do this it's notimpossible my heart was saying I
know people who are sufferingand I want to help them in
whatever way I can.
And my stomach was saying, thisis not making me sick.
The spiritual stress is notmaking me sick.
(05:00):
Because that's what he meant by,what does your stomach say?
Are you beginning to stressabout this?
It wasn't.
So I called him back and I said, yeah, okay, I'll do it.
He said, okay, good, that'sfine.
There's training.
in Chicago beginning next year, and we'd like to sign you up for
(05:21):
it.
Can you go?" So I said, okay.
It's a training program run bythe Pope Leo XIII Institute,
which is an institute of theUnited States Catholic
Conference of Bishops.
It's organized by them, run bythem, approved by them.
And it takes place at MundeleinSeminary in Chicago.
(05:43):
And it's four 10-day sessionsspread
SPEAKER_00 (05:47):
over two years.
Four 10-day sessions.
Total 40 days.
Total 40
SPEAKER_01 (05:52):
days.
And I attended them all.
It was, you know, I learned alot.
I understood a lot.
There were exorcists who cameand gave us talks from all over
the world.
From the Philippines, some ofthe biggest...
Exorcism ministry goes on in thePhilippines at the moment.
From Spain, Father Riffinger wasthere at one of the sessions and
(06:14):
taught us, and others as well.
And, you know, it just set meup.
So now I kind of know what todo.
It's new every time.
SPEAKER_00 (06:23):
My background is in
education and psychology.
I have a PhD.
Psychologists and psychiatristsusually...
refer to when they're diagnosingsomeone with a mental illness.
They usually reference the DSM-5and you have to like check off
like a variety of symptoms to belabeled a certain kind of mental
illness.
(06:44):
Tell me what has to be in place,I would say like for lay people,
signs and symptoms of somebodywho is diagnosed or considered
to be possessed.
SPEAKER_01 (06:54):
Okay.
Well, one of the protocols wehave is before I ever see
anybody, we send them to apsychiatrist who has to
eliminate mental illness.
SPEAKER_00 (07:06):
That's a tricky
thing.
SPEAKER_01 (07:07):
It's very tricky.
And it's not total elimination, but it has to be.
The psychiatrist gives me areport, and it's all signed off
on HIPAA laws and all the restof it.
The patient has to admit to allthat.
So I get a copy of the report, and then I invite the person in.
And basically there are threesigns of possession that we look
(07:32):
for.
One is...
what we call arcane knowledge.
Give me an example.
I will give you an example.
This did not happen to me.
SPEAKER_00 (07:40):
This did not happen
to you.
It
SPEAKER_01 (07:42):
did not happen to
me, but another exorcist shared
this with me.
He said he was doing an exorcismonce and the person was sitting
there or kneeling there, howeverit was, and suddenly the voice
of the person came out and said, the last time you went to
confession, Father, you didn'tconfess a sin.
(08:03):
And he said to me, he said, youknow, that was right.
There was something I didn't saythe last time.
Now, how did that person knowthat I had not confessed a sin?
Because he said, I wasn'tdeliberately hiding it, but the
moment they said that, Ithought, oh my gosh, I forgot
that.
I forgot that.
So that's kind of arcaneknowledge, knowledge of
(08:26):
something that they wouldn'totherwise know.
SPEAKER_00 (08:28):
The
SPEAKER_01 (08:30):
other thing is
speaking in a language that that
person doesn't know.
SPEAKER_00 (08:34):
Not like tongues,
but like Italian.
No,
SPEAKER_01 (08:37):
not tongues.
No, exactly.
Tongues is a spiritual gift.
That's something totallydifferent.
But speaking in a real languagethat that person doesn't know.
I have had people speak to me inlanguages that I know and they
do not know.
SPEAKER_00 (08:52):
And they've never
been exposed to it.
SPEAKER_01 (08:54):
They've never been
exposed to it.
These are languages from foreigncountries that I happen to know.
And they've spoken to me thedevil's in them, the demons in
them, have spoken to me in thislanguage that they don't know.
Because the demons know thelanguages.
And the third thing we look foris inhuman strength.
A nice young lithe lady likeyourself suddenly picks up that
(09:17):
heavy altar and throws it acrossthe room.
SPEAKER_00 (09:19):
Oh, now say less.
I'd be so...
Hail Mary's and sprinting at thesame time.
I have seen
SPEAKER_01 (09:25):
that happen.
I have seen that happen, notwith that altar, but with other
things.
That somebody...
under normal circumstances wouldnot even have the strength to
lift it, let alone hurl itacross the room.
There are other things too, butthose are the main
SPEAKER_00 (09:41):
ones.
Those are the big three signsand symptoms.
My image flawed image of aperson who's possessed is like
in so much agony and pain, likethey just want this out of them.
Or they're starving to death orlike, you know.
Or they're hurting, they're likecuts on their bodies, I don't
know.
SPEAKER_01 (10:00):
It could be, but
that's not my experience.
SPEAKER_00 (10:05):
Oh, interesting.
SPEAKER_01 (10:06):
My experience is
people who know it's wrong,
oftentimes a family member hasnoticed before they even noticed
and talked to them about it, youknow, persuaded them to come.
SPEAKER_00 (10:20):
Tell me about
sacraments versus sacramentals.
SPEAKER_01 (10:23):
Okay, sacraments and
sacramentals.
Good question.
The church has seven sacraments.
And for those sevensacraments...
SPEAKER_00 (10:32):
Can we go over them?
Yes, we will.
I'm getting
SPEAKER_01 (10:35):
there.
For those seven sacraments, youneed an ordained minister of the
church.
So a deacon, a priest, or abishop.
Now, one of them a deacon cando.
which is baptism and a priestcan do that obviously and a
bishop can do that obviouslybecause they're higher ranked
but the only one that a deaconcan do is baptism no that's not
(10:58):
quite right let me rephrase thatthere are two that deacons can
do one is baptism and one iswitness marriages okay you need
a priest for confession you needa priest for the mass you need a
priest for the anointing of thesick so we're up to five now
okay Yes?
(11:19):
And then the last two, confirmation and ordination of
priests or deacons, you need abishop for.
Now a bishop can delegateconfirmation to a priest.
A priest can do confirmations ifhe gets the permission of the
bishop to do it.
And normally that's Eastervigil, when the local priest
(11:40):
will bring someone completelyinto the church, baptize them,
confirm them, give them HolyCommunion, all in the one mass.
So those are the sevensacraments of the church.
They're all in Scripture.
You can find them all in theBible there.
Sacramentals are things likeholy water, like crucifixes,
(12:00):
like St.
Benedict medals, like rosaries, holy salt, and in some ways
vestments that priests anddeacons wear because we...
We put special clothing on to domass or to hear confessions.
(12:20):
The sacramentals all need to beblessed by a priest or a bishop.
And the traditional blessings weknow are more powerful than
just, oh, I bless that name,Father, Son, Holy Spirit, amen.
That works.
God works.
But the traditional blessings, especially for things like
(12:40):
rosaries and especially for St.
Benedict medals and theexercising of water and salt are
very powerful blessings.
You can bless water.
A priest can do that.
Yes, he can.
But it's much more powerful whenit's blessed properly.
So those are sacramentals.
SPEAKER_00 (13:00):
Okay, got it.
Okay, so you said take advantageof the sacraments and the
sacramentals of the church.
SPEAKER_01 (13:06):
Exactly, to the
people.
So I give them this sheet, andit has all this on it.
And then I give them anothersheet, which is, and I do this
one with them the first time.
It's a renunciation of evil anda reaffirmation of good.
And we go through it the firsttime.
(13:30):
And there are three paragraphs.
First two paragraphs are fromthe person, and the third
paragraph is the priest blessingthem back.
And they have to say eachparagraph three times, because
in many ancient religions likeJudaism, from which Christianity
(13:51):
comes, and early Christianity, when you say something three
times, it's true.
I don't know any exorcist whouses English or Spanish.
If we're going to do it, we doit in Latin.
SPEAKER_00 (14:04):
Why do you think?
SPEAKER_01 (14:05):
Because the devil
hates Latin.
SPEAKER_00 (14:07):
Why do you think he
hates Latin?
SPEAKER_01 (14:08):
Because it's the
language of God.
It's the language of the Church.
SPEAKER_00 (14:11):
It's
SPEAKER_01 (14:11):
the ancient language
of our Roman Catholic
SPEAKER_00 (14:14):
Church.
He doesn't hate Hebrew?
SPEAKER_01 (14:16):
Or Aramaic?
He probably does, but I don'tknow that the exorcism is in
those
SPEAKER_00 (14:20):
languages.
And Jesus spoke Aramaic,correct?
SPEAKER_01 (14:22):
Jesus spoke Aramaic.
That was his home language, yes.
Yes, yes.
He could probably read Hebrewbecause we know one of the
Gospel stories tells us that hewent to the synagogue and sat
down and they handed in thescroll of the prophet Isaiah,
and he opens it up, and thescroll, even though they spoke
Aramaic, the scrolls would havebeen written in
SPEAKER_00 (14:42):
Hebrew.
SPEAKER_01 (14:44):
And he reads, and it
says in the scriptures there,
and he read the passage, rollsit up and says, today in your
presence, the scripture is beingfulfilled.
So we know Jesus could readHebrew, but he certainly spoke
Aramaic.
That was the language of thearea.
Yeah, sure,
SPEAKER_00 (14:59):
for sure.
When we envision an exorcism, wesay these set of prayers.
SPEAKER_01 (15:05):
Right.
SPEAKER_00 (15:06):
Give me the roadmap,
we see.
SPEAKER_01 (15:08):
Okay, so if I'm in
here, I'm usually standing at
the altar, facing that way.
The person who's possessed wouldbe in one of these front seats.
And behind them there would beprayer warriors.
which would be people from theparish or people that have
(15:28):
expressed an interest indeliverance ministry.
Some of our prayer groups, forinstance, in the parish.
And they'll come in.
They'll just sit at the back andthey'll just be quietly praying.
They say nothing.
They make no movement unless, and I'll tell you about that in
a minute, but they're just thereas prayer warriors.
SPEAKER_00 (15:47):
Quietly praying.
SPEAKER_01 (15:48):
Quietly praying.
Well, I am speaking the Latinprayers.
SPEAKER_00 (15:53):
Okay.
How many prayers?
SPEAKER_01 (15:55):
Oh, there's about 12
pages of prayers here.
So, you know, I would say, Godsays to get out.
Get out of the person.
(16:15):
Sometimes the person might startmanifesting at that stage, but
unlikely.
SPEAKER_00 (16:20):
At that stage, in
the beginning?
At that
SPEAKER_01 (16:21):
stage, at the
beginning.
After we've done a number ofthose in English, and renewal of
baptismal vows, and sprinklingof holy water.
I use a lot of holy water.
SPEAKER_00 (16:30):
Does anything happen
when you're sprinkling the holy
water?
SPEAKER_01 (16:32):
Oh, gosh, yes.
They scream out sometimes.
They vomit sometimes.
They thrash around sometimes.
And these are the demons takingcontrol of them.
you know and the interestingthing is the the vomit is not
it's not the kind of stuff thatcomes up if you've had too much
to drink excuse me for makingthat
SPEAKER_00 (16:53):
what comes out
SPEAKER_01 (16:56):
or if you've got a
stomach bug and you're throwing
up it's not that it's i've seenlive worms come out of people
i've seen snails or slugs Andyou can see them moving in the
trash can, you know, thatthey've vomited into.
I have not seen nails, but Iknow exorcists who've seen
(17:18):
people vomit up nails.
SPEAKER_00 (17:20):
Adam Bly has seen
them.
He's
SPEAKER_01 (17:21):
seen that,
SPEAKER_00 (17:22):
yes.
Like big ones, like hundreds ofthem.
Yes,
SPEAKER_01 (17:25):
exactly.
I've never seen that.
SPEAKER_00 (17:26):
I'm not built for
that.
I'm not built for
SPEAKER_01 (17:28):
that.
So they vomit.
Holy water brings on vomitingbig time.
And, and this is somethingthat's always so embarrassing
for them afterwards, thelanguage.
Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER_00 (17:41):
Cursing and insane.
SPEAKER_01 (17:43):
Just disgusting
language.
I mean, come on.
Not necessarily cursing.
It's just disgusting
SPEAKER_00 (17:47):
language.
Everything unpleasant.
SPEAKER_01 (17:48):
All those so-called
four-letter words, most of which
are longer than four letters.
And the person will be screamingthose out at the top of their
voice.
But they're not screaming themout.
The demons are doing that.
But they remember.
SPEAKER_00 (18:04):
They remember?
SPEAKER_01 (18:05):
Yes.
And afterwards they're soembarrassed by it, I have to
spend time saying, no, it wasn'tyou.
It wasn't you.
It was the demon taking controlof you.
But I never used those words.
I said, that's okay.
You're not using them.
You weren't using them then.
The demon was using them.
So after we've had theintroductions and the various
(18:26):
different prayers in English orSpanish, then I'll go into
Latin.
and I'll pray the Latin prayersover
SPEAKER_00 (18:33):
them.
There's about 12 pages, yousaid.
SPEAKER_01 (18:35):
Well, I usually use
the shorter form, which works
very well indeed.
Okay.
Sometimes I've used the longerform.
The shorter form is just fourpages.
Four pages there.
And it's very powerful becausethey scream and they shout and
they writhe on the ground and...
all those manifestations takeplace.
(18:58):
And then once that's finished,we will go back into some
cleansing prayers, as we callthem, to cleanse me and the
prayer warriors, to cleanse theprayer warriors, and then
relaxing prayers, and all thisis in English or Spanish, and
end up with a decade of therosary often.
(19:18):
praying together.
The person has calmed down bythen.
Maybe they're sitting back inthe seat there rather than
kneeling or lying on the floor, writhing on the floor as they
might be, whatever it might be,whatever they happen to do.
And then they go.
And one session is never enough.
SPEAKER_00 (19:38):
That was
SPEAKER_01 (19:38):
my next question.
SPEAKER_00 (19:39):
Yes.
I read online that exorcisms inprevious years used to take like
one or two or Three sessions nowcan take weeks and months.
SPEAKER_01 (19:51):
Well, I've had some
people coming to me for two
years now.
Generally speaking, once everycouple of months.
SPEAKER_00 (19:59):
Is possession on the
rise or is it...
SPEAKER_01 (20:02):
The devil wins when
he convinces you he doesn't
exist.
SPEAKER_00 (20:07):
That's interesting
you say that.
I read that they polled peopleand they said, do you believe in
God?
And I think 80%.
or 89% said, yes, I believe inGod.
They asked the same question, doyou believe in the devil?
And I think only 60% of themsaid they believed.
And I would think it would bethe exact same statistic.
It should
SPEAKER_01 (20:24):
be.
It's all in the Bible there.
It's all in the teaching of ourCatholic Church.
But the devil wins when heconvinces you he doesn't exist
because then you have noresistance against his little
insinuations.
SPEAKER_00 (20:43):
I wanted to ask you
another question about the
exorcism, as you're doing therite of exorcism.
Do you find people sometimeshave more than one demon in
them?
SPEAKER_01 (20:52):
Oh, multiple, yes.
And this is one of the reasons,go back to an earlier comment
you made, of how long it takesto do this.
SPEAKER_00 (20:59):
Oh,
SPEAKER_01 (20:59):
okay.
Because sometimes people willcome in and they'll be here or
they'll be wherever, whicheverside they're on, and they are...
coughing out or vomiting out orscreaming out.
And devils are being released.
I can sense that.
But there's so many in themsometimes that it takes two,
(21:23):
three, four, five, six months toget them all out.
SPEAKER_00 (21:27):
I follow a couple
of, I guess, authorities, you
would say, on exorcisms.
And one of them is Father DanRehill.
SPEAKER_01 (21:33):
Yes.
SPEAKER_00 (21:34):
I know him, but I
know of him.
Okay, so you know of him.
I try to not watch his videos atnight because I don't feel like
not staying up all night andpraying the rosary over and over
again.
But he said he encountered thedevil twice in person.
UNKNOWN (21:49):
Right.
SPEAKER_00 (21:50):
Do you think that's
possible?
Absolutely.
Okay, great.
Oh, yes,
SPEAKER_01 (21:53):
I
SPEAKER_00 (21:54):
have.
And he came, he was a verygood-looking man, he asked him
to drink with him, and one wason the beach.
Okay, so I was just curious.
And Adam Bly said that heencountered the devil in an
exorcism once himself.
Have you ever encountered thedevil himself?
SPEAKER_01 (22:07):
Yes.
SPEAKER_00 (22:07):
Tell me about it.
SPEAKER_01 (22:09):
Okay, there are
several things about the devil.
One is he's actually quitestupid.
but he can dress up fancy andlook quite attractive, either as
a man or as a woman.
And depending on what yourdesires might be, he can appear
(22:33):
in that form and try and get youin that way.
So I've certainly seen him showup in a very revealing outfit as
a woman and try and work on mypriestly celibacy.
SPEAKER_00 (22:55):
Interesting.
So this is not like a realperson in the community.
This is like an actual...
SPEAKER_01 (23:02):
It's a hologram, you
could say.
She's a modern.
I'm not saying it's a hologram.
That's a modern thing.
But like a hologram.
It looks real.
He looks real.
She looks real.
SPEAKER_00 (23:12):
So when you
encountered the devil herself or
himself, what did you do?
SPEAKER_01 (23:16):
In most cases, it
takes me a minute or two to
realize that it is not really aperson and that there is
temptation there for me.
And that's the time when itsuddenly comes to me, oh my
gosh, this is the devil.
Vade retro satanas.
Get behind me, Satan.
SPEAKER_00 (23:32):
And then the person
just kind of disappears.
Interesting.
SPEAKER_01 (23:36):
Can
SPEAKER_00 (23:38):
a lay person do that
or only a priest can do
SPEAKER_01 (23:41):
that?
No, a lay person.
Those are words in Scripture.
Those are words of Jesus inScripture.
SPEAKER_00 (23:46):
Another question.
I read that if you pray over, ifyou're not a priest, if you're a
lay person and you pray oversomeone possessed, you're not
supposed to touch them.
SPEAKER_01 (23:56):
Correct.
SPEAKER_00 (23:57):
Correct.
SPEAKER_01 (23:58):
Correct.
SPEAKER_00 (23:59):
Explain that.
SPEAKER_01 (24:02):
Well, the laying on
of hands is an ancient Jewish
tradition which the CatholicChurch took over.
And we use the laying on ofhands in baptism, for instance.
The priest will place his handon the baby's head or the
adult's head if it's an adultbeing baptized.
(24:22):
We use the laying on of hands inconfession, although often these
days A lot of us are going backto the screen.
So behind the screen, I willsymbolically hold my hand up
over the person.
We use the laying on of hands, bishops do, for confirmation and
(24:43):
laying on of hands and anointingwith oils in ordination.
So the laying on of hands is apriestly symbol, a priestly
sign.
And that's why lay people shouldnot do it.
SPEAKER_00 (24:55):
Okay, and what can
happen if they do?
SPEAKER_01 (24:58):
Well, I've actually
got one case at the moment where
somebody, a lay person, did dothat.
And they also anointed thatperson with holy oils, who knows
what the holiness was.
And that person got worse almostimmediately with possession.
And I think we've now got 50%out of that person.
(25:24):
She was here the other day.
Screaming.
SPEAKER_00 (25:26):
So we can go like
this with holy water, but we
can't touch it?
You can bless with
SPEAKER_01 (25:31):
holy water, yes.
You can sprinkle with holywater.
There's nothing wrong with that.
SPEAKER_00 (25:34):
Okay.
SPEAKER_01 (25:36):
But usually not with
the words.
A priest would say, I bless youin the name of the Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit.
You would just sprinkle holywater.
SPEAKER_00 (25:43):
Good to know.
You
SPEAKER_01 (25:44):
could say in the
name of the Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_00 (25:46):
Can we talk a little
bit about demonic attachment
versus full possession?
SPEAKER_01 (25:51):
Okay, attachment.
It's kind of like a powerfultemptation so for instance
somebody who likes and it oftencomes out in addictions so
somebody who has been persuadedthat the next time they go to
(26:12):
casino they're going to win big
SPEAKER_00 (26:14):
I see
SPEAKER_01 (26:15):
so they go to the
casino and they spend the money
they'd put aside and then theyspend the rent money because
they haven't won yet And thenthey spend the grocery money.
And then they spend the carpayment money.
And suddenly they've got nothingleft at all.
Or they take money out of anaccount, a credit card, and go
into debt.
(26:35):
So that's an attachment whereyou cannot break because you're
being tempted with great riches.
Those are attachments.
And by the way, you asked meabout if I'd encountered the
devil.
You haven't asked me if Iencountered the Blessed Mother,
which I have in this very room.
I've seen her walk out of thatstatue.
SPEAKER_00 (26:57):
So you had an
apparition.
And come
SPEAKER_01 (26:59):
and stand here.
SPEAKER_00 (27:01):
She came out of that
statue and walked out, wait.
Yes,
SPEAKER_01 (27:04):
and walked in front
of the person here.
SPEAKER_00 (27:05):
Tell me, what did
she look like?
SPEAKER_01 (27:08):
The most beautiful
woman I've ever seen in my life.
And that's all I can say, it'sjust beauty.
I felt an enormous peacefulnessdescend upon all of us here.
particularly upon the anergoman, the one that's possessed.
And it seemed to be, and I, youknow, I'm listening to, I'm
(27:34):
learning some stuff at themoment too.
I don't think that was the finalexorcism we did on that woman.
I don't think so.
I think I've done a couplesince.
But it was kind of like Our Ladysaying, it's okay, it's going to
be over.
It's going to be over.
And not using words, but just...
(27:55):
So she didn't talk?
She didn't talk.
No, she didn't talk.
Smiled, smiled, opened her arms, but didn't speak.
Just was there.
And you know as well as I dothat lots of times all people
need is an arm around them.
SPEAKER_00 (28:15):
Who's your favorite
saint and why?
SPEAKER_01 (28:17):
Oh, my goodness me.
It certainly isn't St.
Francis of Assisi, although I'vebeen there many, many, many
times.
SPEAKER_00 (28:24):
But that's an odd
thing to say.
It's not my favorite saint.
SPEAKER_01 (28:28):
I can't deal with
poverty.
SPEAKER_00 (28:30):
Oh, because he took
a vow to poverty, yes.
I've been to St.
Francis.
His shrine and his house andeverything was so beautiful,
though.
And I think, what is theconnection with Carlo Acutis?
Is he from Assisi as well?
SPEAKER_01 (28:41):
No, Carlo Acutis was
actually born in London, in
England.
His parents were Italianbankers, and they were working
in London, and he was bornthere.
And I visited the church wherehe was baptized, and they have
the font that he was baptizedin, and you can kneel there and
say a prayer in front of thefont.
And they I have an exhibition ofKalu, which is blessed, which
(29:03):
will be Saint next year.
But he was about three or four,I think, when they moved back to
Italy, to Milan.
And he became...
I don't know the full story
SPEAKER_00 (29:16):
of how it happened.
There's some giant devotion toAssisi.
His mother
SPEAKER_01 (29:19):
has written a
brilliant book, which I'm
halfway through at the moment, about her life with Carlo.
It's in English.
His mother speaks English verywell, because they worked in
SPEAKER_00 (29:29):
London.
I've watched many documentarieson him.
SPEAKER_01 (29:33):
Yeah, yeah.
And...
She's very honest about it.
She says, you know, until Carlocame along and started getting
religion, she said, I'd been tochurch twice.
SPEAKER_00 (29:46):
He got her back into
her faith.
SPEAKER_01 (29:49):
Yes.
Once was her marriage and oncewas her confirmation or
something, I think.
Probably baptism and firstcommunion she had forgotten
about, but never mind.
SPEAKER_00 (29:56):
She ended up having
twins on his, like he came to
her in a dream.
SPEAKER_01 (30:00):
Yes.
SPEAKER_00 (30:01):
But there's like
some St.
Francis of Assisi connectionbecause when I went to Assisi.
He's
SPEAKER_01 (30:05):
buried in Assisi.
SPEAKER_00 (30:06):
When I went to
Assisi, his pictures are all
over the place.
SPEAKER_01 (30:09):
Absolutely.
They love him there.
He loved being there.
Great computer analyst builtwebsites here's the patron saint
of the internet yes
SPEAKER_00 (30:20):
I wanted to launch
my app on that day but it didn't
happen
SPEAKER_01 (30:24):
before you launch
your app pray to him
SPEAKER_00 (30:28):
I did I do I do pray
to him and for his intercession
I think his feast day was likesix weeks ago and I was trying
to launch that it just didn'thappen now I'm going to launch
on December 12th which is thefeast day of Our Lady
SPEAKER_01 (30:41):
oh that's a good one
too yes that's a good one
SPEAKER_00 (30:43):
yes but you haven't
answered the question
SPEAKER_01 (30:44):
so I haven't
answered the question yet no I
guess probably St.
Ignatius of Loyola.
SPEAKER_00 (30:50):
Why?
SPEAKER_01 (30:50):
I always wanted to
be a Jesuit.
SPEAKER_00 (30:53):
Why do you think God
allows us to get possessed?
SPEAKER_01 (30:56):
Oh, what a great
question.
What a great question.
And the answer is I don't knowthe answer to that.
But what I do know is that Godcan always bring good out of
anything.
And oftentimes the good thatcomes out from a person after
they've been delivered isamazing.
SPEAKER_00 (31:17):
What's the fastest
way to get possessed?
SPEAKER_01 (31:19):
And make a pact with
the devil.
Yes.
You know, to say no to God.
And when we've done that and westart making a pact with the
devil, the devil's in like ashot.
SPEAKER_00 (31:29):
Let's talk about
some pacts with the devil, like
pact with the devil himself, like making a deal, like do this
for me and I'll do this for you.
SPEAKER_01 (31:35):
That sort of thing.
Or, you know, I really fancythat woman over there and I wish
she liked me.
What does it take to get her tolike me?
SPEAKER_00 (31:45):
Oh, okay, I didn't
think about that.
SPEAKER_01 (31:47):
And the devil will,
you know, work with you and say,
okay, well, what it really takesis your eternal soul for all
eternity.
But meanwhile, I'll give you 40years of the best sex in the
world with that woman, if youwant.
For instance, you can edit thatout, I'm sure.
No, I think we should keep it.
People need to hear realstories, yes.
(32:07):
That's the kind of thing.
Or to be fabulously wealthy, orto be...
Honored for nothing, you know.
Influencers, as they call them
SPEAKER_00 (32:19):
these days in the
world.
What kind of things should westay away from to avoid demonic
attachment or possession?
SPEAKER_01 (32:25):
There's actually
quite a lot.
Ouija boards, terrible things.
Tarot cards.
Even, you know, tea leaves atthe bottom of a coffee cup or
tea cup.
Santaria, brujeria, or voodoo.
How
SPEAKER_00 (32:40):
about psychics?
SPEAKER_01 (32:42):
Keep away from them.
SPEAKER_00 (32:44):
If
SPEAKER_01 (32:45):
they know anything,
it's from the devil.
Another thing, and this hassuddenly come to me, tattoos.
Sometimes the tattoo artist isin pact with the devil, and
sometimes the tattoo artist usesinks that have been cursed.
SPEAKER_00 (33:04):
Interesting.
Another easy way to getattachments and possessions.
SPEAKER_01 (33:08):
Attachments and
possessions, yes.
SPEAKER_00 (33:09):
Okay, anything we've
missed as far as?
SPEAKER_01 (33:12):
Witchcraft, yes.
Around most Catholic churches, there's a witch coven praying
for the destruction of thatchurch.
SPEAKER_00 (33:22):
Wow.
SPEAKER_01 (33:24):
They just do it.
There are witches everywhere.
You wouldn't know them from Adamor Eve.
You just wouldn't know them.
I
SPEAKER_00 (33:33):
don't want to know
them.
SPEAKER_01 (33:34):
They are, and
they're praying for the
destruction of the CatholicChurch.
SPEAKER_00 (33:37):
I know only Catholic
priests can do exorcisms.
How about if you're anon-Catholic and you are
possessed?
SPEAKER_01 (33:45):
We can work with
you, but understand that this is
not magic.
I pray the prayers.
Jesus does the work.
Understand also that you havefree will.
And Jesus is not going to doanything to you that you don't
(34:08):
want done.
So, okay, you're not a Catholic.
I don't know what religion youare.
You may be some other Christian.
You may be nothing.
At least do you believe in Jesuswho wants to work with you?
Because if you don't, it's goingto be very, very difficult, if
not impossible.
At least have that basic beliefin Jesus as the Son of God.
(34:29):
And then he can work with youbecause he's not going to impose
himself.
SPEAKER_00 (34:34):
Thank you so much.
It was so helpful andinformative.
SPEAKER_01 (34:37):
You're very welcome.
It's an honor.
