Ever wonder what makes wrestling feel so electric when you're watching from home? The secret might be the voices guiding you through every slam, submission, and storyline. In this deep-dive episode, we explore how commentators transform wrestling from athletic exhibition into captivating drama.

The pandemic era taught us something profound about wrestling - when crowd reactions disappeared, commentary became our emotional anchor to the matches. Without those passionate voices narrating the action, something essential was missing. As one host explains, "If you ever tried to sit there and watch wrestling on mute, it would be crazy because it just doesn't work."

We tackle the fascinating contrast between WWE and AEW's commentary approaches. WWE commentators like Michael Cole and Pat McAfee excel at entertainment and storytelling, while AEW's team focuses more intensely on in-ring technique. This mirrors the larger philosophical differences between the promotions - WWE showcases entertainers while AEW highlights wrestlers.

The heart of our discussion centers around building a definitive top 10 list of wrestling commentators. Names like Mauro Ranallo, Jim Ross, Joey Styles, and Mike Tenay spark passionate debate about what makes a commentator truly great. Is it their catch phrases? Their technical knowledge? Or perhaps their chemistry with partners?

Speaking of chemistry, we imagine dream commentary pairings across eras and promotions. What if Joey Styles and Mauro Ranallo called an AEW pay-per-view together? We theorize they'd "kill themselves halfway through from sensory overload with the wrestling." Some combinations would create perfect harmony, while others would generate fascinating friction.

Whether you're a longtime fan or new to wrestling, you'll gain a fresh appreciation for the voices that have shaped our collective wrestling memories. These aren't just people talking about what we can already see - they're storytellers transforming athletic performances into emotional journeys.

Join us next week when we'll tackle wrestling's most memorable catchphrases - the signature lines that turned wrestlers into icons!

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Hello again, everyone , to another episode of the Big
Brothers of Destruction podcast, where the ring is sacred, but
the podcast is nothing butdestruction.
Okay, nothing but destruction.
And that's what we're here todo.
Is this honestly talk, not somuch in a destructive man, a
destructive manner, becausetoday's topic is something I

(00:31):
find very dear to me as, while Ienjoy watching live shows, I
enjoy going to a live show everyonce in a while but there's
just something about when you goto a show and you can't hear
the voices that you're so usedto hearing when you're on tv.
It kind of takes the elementout for me.

(00:52):
But what I want to take a momentis to champion the voices of
wrestling, the people that welisten to day in and day out,
that tell us these stories, thattell us the background of these
characters, that get usinvested.
They drive us in just a littlebit more than the actual rest of
themselves, and those are yourcommentators.
The commentators are theindividuals that are again

(01:15):
telling the story of the show, getting you invested into the
characters.
I remember jim cornett.
I keep bringing this up.
These are the people that buyyou into why you need to watch
this, and I was able tochallenge my brother here into
creating a top 10, and we'regoing to do it live.

(01:35):
Rather than having us do theresearch, having us do all that
in the moment uh, outside of thepodcast I want to do it in the
moment and challenge him to seeif he can create his top 10
commentators of all time.
So swag, before we get into it.

(01:55):
How do you feel the realm ofwhat?
How do you feel?
Commentary in wrestlingenhances the story, enhances the
matches.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
So, as somebody who frequently goes to indie shows
that are locally around theOrlando area and, of course,
being such a frequent watcher ofwrestling um, especially since
we've done the podcast like Ihave, I have now figured out how

(02:35):
I can get allwe tna like I'mabsorbing, I'm just eating it
and what helps, especially whenthere's like kind of low points

(02:59):
or it's like man something feelslike it's dragging.
The commentary keeps everythingtogether and a good prime
example of how, like whensomething like the commentary
can make or break a show or makeor break a match to a certain
degree, because of howcommentary works and what it's
supposed to do.
If you have the right peopledoing it, it's great.

(03:22):
But my, my current greatexample of that is and I talked
about it last week when thiswhole situation going on with
chad gable and, uh, the bigamerican, yeah, yeah, michael
cole and um pat mcafee's justback and forth banter as like

(03:45):
Michael Cole is all like I'm notgoing to like feed foolishness
because it's stupid.
They're the same person and thewhole time he's all like
Michael Cole.
I don't know how many times Ihave to tell you they are two
separate people, they're twodifferent people, like they're
not the same person.
I don't know why you're sofixated on chad cable being the

(04:06):
big american, when they'rethey're literally two different
people.
I I don't know what to tell you.
Like you need to let it go.
And I'm talking consistentlylike it's hilarious, but it's
stuff like that that just likeman it when you're watching it
on tv.
It just makes it that much moreentertaining because, like when

(04:28):
you watch wrestling in personthough you don't have the
commentary it's the excitementof everything that's like going
on around you and just theenergy that you feel from the
crowd erupting and like the bigpop and stand there fucking
eating and all this other stuff.
Like it is all of those thingsput together.

(04:52):
It's it's like watching aninteractive movie at like a
movie theater.
You know what I'm sayingbecause you're in the stands,
you're watching this thing, butand this thing is happening like
how a movie does.
It's just that in wrestling, unlike in a movie, the Captain

(05:13):
America who is in the ring couldpoint at you, or that the bad
guy will actually come out ofthe ring and act like he's going
to beat your ass, but getsstopped and someone pulls him
away and then they go back likeit's, because it's the
interaction, and so for uspeople who are at home, who
can't get that interaction, wehave the commentators to feed us

(05:38):
what we need and I could notimagine sitting here watching
wrestling without commentators.
Like, if you ever like to sitthere to watch wrestling on mute
would be crazy Because it justdoesn't work.

(06:03):
Yeah, you can enjoy it.
I will say what I probablycould watch on mute, and not
saying because I want to, butbecause of the things that do
happen, I could probably watchan AEW pay-per-view on mute, and
I'm saying that as a compliment.
Pay-per-view on mute, and I'msaying that as a compliment

(06:24):
Because an AEW pay-per-view isso unnecessarily hype for every
single goddamn match to make upfor the possible and normal
bullshit that happens during theweek.
Not saying they haven't becausethey've been doing really good,
like literally for the pastmonth right now.

(06:45):
Tony, storm could do no wrong, but go ahead but like um, but
it's like aew because they'relike strictly on pure action.
Like that's the only reason whyI say you could probably watch
it on me, which I'll bring it uplater.
But like, I think I've kind ofhad like a little revelation

(07:05):
about AEW versus like literallyevery other wrestling company
that I'm watching hold up inreal time.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Are you kind of telling me you're about to give
AEW more praise?

Speaker 2 (07:19):
it's not.
I won't say that it's praise,but it's more so it's one of
those things where it's like, once I've kind of made this
understanding, it has allowed meto digest AEW just a little bit
differently because you have to, and Will Ospreay is the one

(07:42):
who has kind of sort of likemade me really look at what he
meant when he says this, andWill Ospreay not to go fully
into the week of wrestling, butWill Ospreay made the statement
of saying AEW is the place wherethe best wrestlers in the world

(08:03):
exist or live, not quoting themverbatim.
That's pretty much what he said.
The best wrestlers in the worldlive at AEW, mm-hmm.
And when you look at thatstatement at face value, it's

(08:23):
almost hard to disagree with himwith what he's saying.
Aew, I think, does have thebest wrestlers in the world
currently because you can watchAEW and from a wrestling

(08:48):
standpoint, you there's.
It's impossible to knock themAlright Purely On Wrestling
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Now, this week aside BecauseAEW was on one, but usually pure

(09:10):
wrestling and almost awrestling only is the reasons
why I lock in on AEW, cause theother bullshit they be doing hit
or miss, and it mostly missesWWE.
However, wwe has the bestentertainers in the world and

(09:42):
that causes for two differentkinds of TV and and that causes

(10:05):
for two different kinds of tv.
And that is my revelation ofunderstanding why I love
watching wwe and I sometimestolerate aew, aew, because where
AEW fails to entertain, atleast their wrestling is a
thousand percent solid, as wherein WWE sometimes and I'm not
going to say any names butsometimes the wrestling gets a
little booty.
But sometimes the wrestlinggets a little booty.

(10:30):
Okay, okay, okay.
But the backstage promos, thestuff that happens throughout
the night, locked in.
To the point where I wouldalmost, you could almost say
with WWE, you watch thebackstage stuff and if you
really want to, you fast forwardthrough the wrestling In TNA

(10:50):
I'm sorry, in AEW.
You fast forward through thebackstage stuff because it's
stupid most of the times, yo,but you watch the wrestling, yo,
it's so true, it's so true,it's so true.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
And that is actually factual, bro, because AEW's
backstage antics often, unlessit's Hangman, adam Page and
Swerve and the Hurt Syndicatethose are the only two things
backstage.
I'm trying to see what's goingon, right, but like they really
don't have any good things thatyou can catch backstage, that

(11:28):
pulls you in.
But wwe is really great atstorytelling.
The matches, just like you said, can be booty sometimes.
Like no offense.
I and this is I'm gonna segueto this we're going right back
into it, like the match betweenjohn cena and our truth.
Right, I don't want to call itbooty, but it wasn't great.

(11:52):
It wasn't the wrestling youwould want to see.
It's like, okay, this is acomedy match.
Or like, uh, this is just justfor like this is, this is a
match that should be on a liveshow.
This should not be at apay-per-view right now.
Do it for the crowd.
That time CM Punk came down ina towel.
He's getting out of the shower.
This is a one-off moment.

(12:13):
Do that at a live show, don'tdo that right here.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
The match itself was indeed a throwaway match, but
the story and the build-up tothe match worth watching.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yes, like R-Truth would never win the title, but
like for 15 minutes I'll believeit.
You know I'll believe it.
Every kick-out tweet, ohknowing damn well, like that
ain't gonna happen.
I know you're saying all thisto kind of kind of even compare

(12:50):
the voices of wrestling, howthey kind of tell the story.
So to you you obviously feellike commentary is a very vocal
point in watching wrestling.
Like if you just watched it onmute you can't really get as
invested into it as you would ifyou were, um, watching it live

(13:12):
and no commentary right, exactlybecause, like, you take away
that.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
And then because when you watch it on mute it's like
you take, you take away thereactions of the crowd and the
commentary.
Then it's like oh, which goesback to why it was difficult
when the pandemic was happening, because we got the opposite,
where we did not have thereaction of the crowd and we

(13:39):
just had the commentary.
And it goes to show it's ahand-in-hand thing for the most
part.
Like I mean it, like you cankind of do without one in the
other, but depends on whereyou're at, because from home,
not hearing the reaction of thecrowd but hearing the commentary

(13:59):
, it it felt like there wassomething missing.
Of course we couldn't.
And of course, being in abuilding where wrestling is
happening and there is no crowdand no commentary, which the
closest to anything like that iswhen I'm like would go to

(14:23):
wrestling training or when Iused to train for wrestling and
stuff like that, that's the likeyou know would go to like
wrestling training or kind oflike when I used to train for
wrestling and stuff like that, that's the closest that I ever
got and it's like even thenwe're still being the crowd for
the wrestlers it'll be.
It'd be so weird if we just allstood around the ring and did
not react to anything that theywas doing.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
You, mean like the New Japan crowd.
Sometimes Part of the reason iswhy.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Nothing wrong with that.
It's not wrong with.
There's nothing wrong with it.
However, it is because they'rejust a different culture.
For me, it's like when I watchnew japan, like if I don't
understand the announcers, man, that's tough for me to watch
because it's like the crowd'snot reacting or barely uh,

(15:18):
they'll react off of like threethings and there's like I don't
know what they're saying.
So commentary might as well beoff is just like.
I mean, at least this matchkind of looks cool, but, like
man, I wish I had a little more.
I wish I had something.
Commentary gives you somethingit definitely does.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
It definitely gives you something that you normally
wouldn't get in any otherenvironment and it's kind of.
It's to the point where, as awrestling fan, I'm going to
sound weird, but sometimes, unless it's obviously in Orlando
, I'm not going to say no to it,but like I probably not gonna

(16:06):
go and just watch it live, thatwatch at home, because it's
something about the commentarythat still pulls me in and I
sometimes my brain can't justifydriving three to four hours for
a show, unless it's john cena.
Like if john cena's coming totown for the tampa show, if I
had the funds for it I'm goingto it.
But you know my wallet workright now I don't worry like

(16:27):
that.
I don't worry like that.
But I say all this has Nah, man, it's just bro, this is the
last run.
I need to be in the no Also, bythe way, kudos to R-Truth real
quick when he did this shit, when he was doing the intro, and
you know when he does the inany weather I'm never better.

(16:47):
Your boy is so hot, you know.
Like at that part he does theR-Truth killed that shit.
I was like bro, he did theentrance to the T.
I was like let's go R-Truth.
He hit that motherfucking shit.
I was so hyped, bro, Iliterally ugh.
I had a moment, but my man didit.

(17:10):
You can say whatever you wantto about me being the kiss ass
of John Cedar.
I'll give a damn, but he didthat shit listen he did that
motherfucking shit.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
I mean, at this point in the game, it's a given.
You've always been a John Cenarider, bro, even through the
worst of times.
Yes, he was.
He was part of the group ofkids that would always say let's
go, cena, that's, that's,that's your boy, right there

(17:46):
yeah, that's all give a, andjocelyn was that cool mr maziku,
number one fan in the c nationfirst off.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
First off, not number one fan, because I'm number one
fan of the, the pizza that I'mnumber one fan that all day,
every day all day, every day.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
See, the viewers don't know you as long as I have
.
Before there was Penta, therewas John Cena.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
I mean, yes, there was definitely John Cena and I
ain't got no shame in the game,no shame in the game.
I know what I was doing, doingand I'm okay with that,
perfectly content with that.
But say all that to say thepeople, the voices that we know

(18:36):
in wrestling are the very, they're very important in that
nature.
So I, I wanted to bring up orask do you have, before we kind
of get to the list, do you havea favorite commentator of all
time and you're hanging?

Speaker 2 (18:54):
It just pops up Just to give the audience an idea,
what, what could they expect outof this biased Honestly, I
still think, because I broughthim up last time, but I think of
all time and, granted, if I theonly ways I'm going to be able
to hear him now is I got like Igot to watch fucking boxing and

(19:16):
shit, but like Mauro Ronaldo, like he is, he was way too good.
He was way too good for what hewas and it kills me that JBL
chased him away.
Like if he, outside of theissues that he had with JBL and

(19:40):
I don't know if he had anyissues with Vince McMahon
specifically, but like I feelthat if he had any issues like
with Vince McMahon specifically, but like I feel I feel that
like if he would have stayed andhe wasn't and he didn't have
like these you know thesepersonal mental problems that he
had, like with depression andall this other stuff, cause you
know he's he was very open aboutthe fact that you know he

(20:02):
suffers from these particularmental illnesses and stuff it's
like if it wasn't for the factof those type of things, kind of
sort of like, you know, holdinghim in a certain you know, in a
certain likeness, in a certainway, like I would have
absolutely wished, but it's likeI don't know who he would be

(20:23):
with, especially in WWE rightnow, like I would have.
Like.
Like him and wade barrett wouldsound amazing together kind of
thing.
Like him and michael cole wouldbe great.
But I think it'd be too muchand because of the type of that
michael cole is like, he's theit's like him and Michael Cole

(20:46):
being together would be likehaving two JRs.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
You know what I'm saying?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, but I mean.
But here's the thing MichaelCole could be a heel commentator
too.
He's done it before.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yes, but no.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
You would prefer not.
You prefer him as.
But no, you would prefer not.
You prefer him as, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Like, honestly, I would take I think Mauro Ronaldo
and Pat McAfee, they'd beamazing together.
You would not turn off the TV,Absolutely not.
They would be those two wouldbe those chefs, kiss.

(21:27):
Like I wish that I could hearthat kind of thing.
And so just, I loved his voice,I loved his enthusiasm and
excitement, and he was sofucking quick with it.
Like he would have, he wouldlike come out and say certain
things that were like, like he'smade, I'd have to look back,
because I I did not specificallylike look back at his stuff,

(21:50):
but there'd be certain timeswhere he'll make a comment I'm
like what the hell you knowabout that stuff, brother, since
when brother told you aboutthat, that information you ain't
about that life, stop it he wasso good he's still good, he's

(22:14):
just not in wrestling, he's inboxing and it's interesting you
say that because, like normally, most wrestling fans from our
era are going to pick a JR and aking Right Me not necessarily
the case.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
I'm going to pick Joey Styles, obviously because,
being an ECW guy, I got to givecredit to a guy who was able to
play both both sides of the coincoin being the color
commentator, you know, incertain moments, and then being
the play-by-play.
And there is not an ecw fan inthis world who, uh, jr is bar

(22:55):
god and he's broken in half.
Joey styles had oh my god, andanytime he said it you knew
whatever the hell just happenedwas insane.
So for joey to be such a coolcommentator for me it kind of
felt like whenever I waslistening to him or watching,

(23:17):
obviously, the show, the product, it was like having that one
friend who was here right nextto you watching it and you know
how we always shoot the shit atthe screen.
He's shooting the shit at thescreen and you just listen to
him like this fucking guy.
That's how Joey Stylescommentary felt like to me and,
honestly, if you think about itin that light, a lot of

(23:40):
commentary is like that ingeneral that makes sense, that's
fair, but like yeah, cause Imean overall commentary is like
the driving force of the showwhen you're watching outside of
wrestling yes, it's like oh yeah, cause.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Well, honestly, when you say outside of wrestling,
well, I was well.
Now, actually, no, let me backup.
Why do you say?
What do you mean by outside ofwrestling?

Speaker 1 (24:13):
so outside of the actual like the wrestling itself
is obviously the reason whywe're watching, oh like, yeah,
outside of just the wrestlingitself okay, I'm thinking you're
meaning outside of wrestlingcompany commentary.
No, no, no, no.
It's outside of wrestlingitself.
If you take the wrestling away, obviously there's no need for
commentary.
The main thing we're here foris the wrestling.

(24:36):
The commentary is like the cakeis wrestling, the commentary is
the frosting.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Like that freaking Publix cream cheese frosting the
best.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
The specific brand is crazy, bro, have you not had
Publix K?
Oh yeah.
No, I'm just saying thespecific brand.
You're just like Publix overeverything.
Yeah, when it comes to them.

(25:10):
Tenders, yes, now if if theywant to sponsor us in the future
, I'll eat some of them.
Tenders right on on cam.
Be like look, public's delitenders listen.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
If the, if the, if that one guy forget his name,
but he's like the, the localflorida man on tiktok if you
ain't got sponsored by Publix, nobody's getting sponsored by
Publix especially because it'slike not being a Florida thing,
but us being in Florida, yeah, yeah he represents Publix,

(25:37):
beyond this small little shoutthat we've done and Publix ain't
did nothing for him yet.
So it's like I I don't wantlittle shout that we've done and
Publix ain't did nothing forhim yet.
So I was like I don't want tothink that, although you doing
that just reminded me.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I didn't say nothing.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Okay, but you rubbing your arm and doing that
reminded me, which I'll talk toyou about it after.
But like I finally watchedSinners oh, I finally watched.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Sinners.
Oh, you finally watched Sinners.
Let's fucking go.
Alright, we definitely gottatalk about that, alright?
So, um, but get me back intocommentary, right?
So you have me as Joey Styles, you as Maul Renaro, and with
this list I want you to.

(26:26):
When I bring up each person,I'm going to randomize it.
Right, it gave me up from 1 to20.
I'm just going to randomize thenames and if you want to write
it out on your phone where youwant to place them or whatever,
that's cool, but I'm giving youa chance to at least process who
it is, and then I'm gonna go tothe next one.
Okay, so, okay.

(26:47):
So what I'm gonna do is I'mgonna have you, I'm gonna tell
you the name and then you'regonna say from one to ten.
You're gonna say ten, right, and then you're gonna say five
or three or one, whatever youwant to put it right.
So, first one Kevin Kelly.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Kevin Kelly.
I'm trying to know who that is.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
He was in WWE as one of the guys backstage who did
interviews.
He went to Ring of Honor at onepoint and then he is now one of
the voices of New Japan.
He started off in WWE eons ago.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Okay, I recognize the name, but he did commentary.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
He does commentary now.
He never did it for WWE, maybeon a heat or something.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Then he has to go at 10 because I don't don't watch
enough new japan to have heardhim if he's over there no, no,
you don't have to put himbecause, again, this is going
from a 20, so it doesn't have tobe.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
You could be like no, I don't want to put that on
because we got 20 people we'regoing to go through.
So you could be like, oh, no,not at all, move on, gotcha,
gotcha.
So then, yes, keep it pushing, okay, keep pushing, alright.
William Regal.
Yeah, keep it pushing, keep itpushing, okay.
Corey Graves yeah, I'm gonnakeep pushing.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Damn, I ain't gonna lie to you.
Like when Corey Graves firststarted announcing, I didn't
give a fuck about.
No Corey Graves, that's anannouncer.
The only reason why I've givenCorey Graves a little bit of a
chance is because he's withCarmella and I care about her.
So if she cares about him, Iguess I'll give him a fucking

(28:41):
chance.
Carmella leaves him, ditchinghim.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Carmela leaves them digital, exactly.
That is crazy.
Okay, but I will say this muchUm, I will agree with some of
the that you said.
Keep pushing.
Even though Kevin Kelly, I dolike him as a commentator I'm
not a, I'm not even gonna frontwith that I do like him as a
commentator.
I don't know if I can say he'smy top 10, yet I can't, I can't,

(29:06):
I'll have to revise it, buthe's definitely got a solid
standing where he is.
He is definitely a goodcommentator.
This one, I'm not too sure ifI'm familiar with it, or maybe
you, tom Phillips.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Tom Phillips.
I can't remember where he.
I know the name, I remember thename.
I can't place my mind on hisvoice off the top of my head
right now.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Where did it say that I think he was.
He didn't say where he was from, but it said Tom Haffen is his
actual name but I guess known asTom Phillips Tom.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Phillips, Jesus.
Who is this motherfucker?

Speaker 1 (29:50):
I mean, you pull him up, you go to him real quick.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
I mean I'm not going to, we're just going next.
Keep pushing.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Okay, next, all right .
Next, Keep pushing, all right.
Let me see, here we got WadeBarrett.
Wade Barrett.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Wade Barrett.
He's definitely mmm, mmm.
Because I have an idea of likea bunch of announcers that I
know that I do like I'm gonnaput Wade Barrett at 10.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Wade Barrett at 10.
Alright, so Wade at 10.
Wade Barrett at 10.
All right, so Wade at 10.
For me, I'm going to keep itpushing for.
Right now, wade Barrett isgreat.
I just really wish he had had alonger run as a competitor.

(30:43):
I just really wish he had had alonger run as a competitor,
like I really feel like hedeserved a thousand times more
than what the fuck he got heshould have been a world
heavyweight champion he was agreat intercontinental champion.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Bad News Barrett was great TV and cinema.
But fucking Nexus like and Iwill say yeah, but fucking Nexus
Like gosh.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
And I will say you know, John Cena did fuck that up
.
He did fuck that up.
Let's talk about it.
We can definitely talk about it, but so you have that, Okay.
Whereberry is kind of in thatarea for me.
A potential Next one, VinceMcMahon.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon, I like him, butI don't like him over Wade
Barrett.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
I'm actually going to put Vince as a 10 because Vince
as a commentator he was prettygood to me.
That's just me.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
I liked.
It's one of those thingsbecause I have a bunch of other
announcers in my brain.
It's like Vince McMahon becausenow that I have Wade Barrett,
it's like is Vince McMahonbetter than Wade Barrett?
No, he's not for me, but I dolike him.
And Vince McMahon was more of aperson where I liked him

(32:17):
because of who he wascommentating with.
He's a good team partner, butnot the best commentator got you
got you?

Speaker 1 (32:29):
um, okay, if that's the case, then how about matt
striker next?
What?
Oh, because you didn't watchlucha, you didn't watch lucha.
You didn't watch lucha.
I will respect that you didn'twatch Lucha.
You didn't watch Lucha.
You didn't watch Lucha.
I will respect that you did notwatch Lucha.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
All right, he wasn't bad.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
When he was in WWE I did enjoy his play-by-play, but
like there's better I want tosay for me, because I'm typing
him down now he is a five, he'sfive, he's five's five, he's
five he's that good on Luchahe's really good to me.

(33:10):
On Lucha, I'm sorry, I keeptrying to tell you, man.
One of these days we gotta takea day and just binge watch some
Lucha man.
I already told you all June.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I'm binging Lucha.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
I cannot fucking wait , I'm right here with you.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I'm locked the fuck'm binging.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Lucha, I cannot fucking wait.
I'm right here with you.
I'm locked the fuck in for some, lucha bro, just cause there's
certain matches I want you tosee and I'm just like I you know
how, when you introduce yourfriend to that like you show him
something you're like.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
I don't get it twisted Like.
It's not that I didn't likelucha underground, it's just
that I didn't know it wasfucking happening.
Yeah, it's like by the time youknew what's happening was done
like literally by the time, kindof yeah, like I'll never forget
the way I found it was, it waswhen I was living in the
apartments with antonio we hadcable and we only literally we

(34:02):
had cable so that we could justwatch wrestling type thing.
That was like the only time weactually used cable.
But it was like we had cableand there was like one random
time that we was like like goingthrough the channels and they
were all like wait, there'swrestling on this channel.
And I remember like it was uh,oh, I can't remember what he

(34:23):
called himself on there now, butuh, it was ZQ Jackson oh, he
was big um dang big, big Rick, big Rick okay, yeah, like big
Rick, I'm like, oh, that's ZQJackson, that's our last ECW
champion.
And then, uh, then Johnny Mundowas on there.

(34:46):
Johnny Mundo, yep.
And then there was Prince Puma.
I did see a little bit of Penta.
Then there was damn, what'sthat girl's name?
The Spanish luchador, sexy Star.
Yes, that was the one I waslooking for.

(35:06):
But, yes, sexy Star, I rememberseeing her the first time on
there, but the one part of theteam with Timeless Thunder Jits.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Oh, not, thunder Rosa wasn't on there.
Yes, she wasn't.
No, not that I remember seeingher.
If she was thunder rosa, if shewas on there, I she probably
wasn't thunder rosa, she wassomebody.
Oh no, she was, um, the mothsister, marty, the moth sister,
that's who she was okay, becauseI remembered seeing her there

(35:43):
yeah, she is, she was there, butshe just was not.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Thunder rose gotcha I don't, I didn't remember what
her name was at the time, but, and, and I think, wasn't brian
kendrick there as well?

Speaker 1 (35:57):
um, no, but there was a guy who looks like brian
kendrick um, I can't rememberhis name, he's bald now.
He was teaming with Angelico, which is crazy because he had
such a great tag team there, which is unfortunate for Lucha
as well, when they were a tagteam and Lucha could do no wrong

(36:18):
when Lucha was over.
They don't exist, so it wasvery unfortunate because they
were doing some insane stuff inLucha and then to get to AEW,
nothing but that is the.
I don't know if that's thecurse or whatever it is with
Lucha, but continuing the list.

(36:39):
So Matt Stryker okay, I saidfive.
Nigel McGuinness.
Mm.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, think about it.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Think about it.
Yep, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
I'm passing what You're passing on Nigel McGinnis
.
Even during his time with NXT,you didn't like his commentary
no, I did I love.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Mr Nigel, but he's not better than Pete because,
like this week, I have thoughtof other announcers okay, okay,
okay.
It is like way buried overNigel McGinnis, which sounds
kind of crazy, and I know itsounds crazy, but I am Wade
Barrett over Nigel McGinnis.

(37:36):
Jr, jr.
He makes the list, but I'mtrying to figure out what number
, honestly, I have to put him at2.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
I will agree.
We can power shake on that, make a powers handshake, you
know, make a powers on that.
One 2 is JR, definitely, andit's just JR.
That's kind of nostalgic.
More definitely, and it's justJR.
That's kind of nostalgic morethan anything because it's just
JR.
You can't say no to him, Ican't even say nostalgic.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
He's not even nostalgic, he's just good.
I even liked him when he firstcrossed over in the AEW.
However, when he crossed overin the AEW However, when he
crossed over in the AEW he didstart acting a little.
He started commentatingdifferently, like when he went

(38:35):
to AEW.
It's like, I think when he wentto AEW it was all like okay, I
feel as if that, with the waythat he is in AEW, I think this
is what jr like, who jr reallywas supposed to be, because you
know, they have people in theirears the whole time when they
got the headphones on, andespecially in wwe, and jr always

(38:59):
talks about how this man's justfucking was blasting his ears
the fuck out and all this otherstuff and you know, and so it's
like because of that, like a lotof whatever jr was saying and
doing and promoting, going onabout it was being, it was being
spoon fed to him and to acertain degree at least, but

(39:20):
then, like um in aw, where Ifeel as if, as if they had a
severe lack of spoons or justeating utensils all around JR
was literally just doing his ownthing and it was just not as

(39:41):
exciting, like even when AEWwould get super exciting and
hype.
Jr was not.
There was no oh boom.
Shura's like oh man, that lookslike it's going to do some
damage.
It was just like, oh okay, whathappened?

Speaker 1 (39:58):
to the flair.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
Yeah, whatever Okay.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
I feel like it's also because of age he's not like.
That also puts a lot ofpressure on him too, you know.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
I I don't want to blame it on age because I feel
as if that's cheap, but it verypossibly could just be.
You know, he's an old man.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
He's not, you know, he's not as equipped to do what
just tired bro, he's an old man.
He's not, you know, he's not asequipped to do what he used to
do on the mic and, it's to say, even as an athlete.
He's not even an athlete, he'sjust a person talking.
But that still takes a lot outof them to be constantly doing
that all night, right?
So you got JR.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
We got the good old Paul Heyman.
Now, paul Heyman is someone Iactually did not think about on
a hindsight.
So here's the problem when itcomes to Paul Heyman, it's hard
for me to separate.
It's hard for me to separate.

(41:07):
It's hard for me to look atPaul Heyman as a judge of how
good he was for what he did, asopposed to how much I fucking
hated him when he was doing itwhen he was commentary.
God, I hated Paul hayman on thewhen paul hayman and jr when

(41:32):
they were doing their thing.
I hated paul hayman becausepaul hayman would just always
say this just Just, he was suchan asshole.
And like him and JR, like amatch is going on and I swear
they're about to come to blowswith each other Because, like

(41:57):
JR's like would you shut thehell up.
Well, why don't you make?

Speaker 1 (42:00):
me good old JR.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Like just, and they just go on and on and on and
just be at each other.
It's like, paul Heyman, justshut up, just shut up, we gotta
match the call here.
Paul Heyman, just doing, justbeing the jerk that he is, it's
like it's hard for me to, it'shard for me to see past Paul

(42:26):
Heyman on a fan level.
So it's like me saying how muchI hated him is the fan in me,
because that means Paul Heymandid what he was supposed to do.
You were supposed to hate hisguts, you were supposed to want

(42:48):
JR to beat the fuck out of him, type situation.
But the problem is I hated himso much that as an adult doing a
podcast, it's hard for me tosay he's in my favorites list
because I hated him I hatedtriple h growing up, but I

(43:11):
respect him now as an adult.
Yes, you do, and I respect paulhayman as a person, but it's
like I hated him so much let meput it this way I hated paul
hayman so much I could not enjoyhim doing what he was doing as
a commentator kind of thing aswell with triple h.

(43:33):
Yes, I hated the fuck out oftriple h, but there did come a
time where I could appreciateand enjoy him for how much I
hated him.
That just never happened withme with Paul Heyman and his
commentating.
So it was like I can't tell youhow good his commentating was

(43:53):
because I was too busy sayingPaul Heyman, shut the fuck up, I
can't stand your ass.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
If that's the case, it sounds like he's not on the
list.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
I mean I could give him honorable mention because,
boy oh boy, he did his job verywell.
To make me absolutely abhor him.
I loathe that man at thecommentating and when he finally
got his just deserves.
It felt so good.
But then he bounced back fromhim way too quickly and I felt

(44:30):
like man, someone needs to beatthe shit out of him again
because that first time was justnot enough, like when jr got
his, got his comeuppance, gothis lick back.
I'm like jr, you need to getfive licks, because that's that
one.
That wasn't enough.
Jr, you need to get on thatnigga and ground and pound his

(44:53):
ass Fucking.
But yeah, I'll give him thehonorable mention.
Okay, because that's how good athis job, he was.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
Okay, so honorable mentions for you at his job.
He was Okay, so honorablementions for you.
Honorable mention Swag.
Alright, so, matt Tanay, excuseme, mike Tanay, mike Tanay.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Mike Tanay.
He's high.
He is definitely high up there.
I'll put him under JR.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
You putting Mike to that and JR, that's insane.
How about this?
Before I tell you, this is thepart where I told you this was
when the list starteddisrespecting people, because it
put him and the next person I'mabout to tell you as an
honorable fucking mention and Iwas like bro, yeah, bro, I was

(45:54):
pissed.
I was pissed Like are we notsaying TNA's golden era of
commentary was not like at leasttop 10?

Speaker 2 (46:07):
That is rude, that's absolutely rude.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Yes, yes, but continue.
What were you about to sayabout Mike Tenet?

Speaker 2 (46:14):
No, I was going to say like because, as a TNA fan
from that particular era, mikeTenet and his partner Both of
them they they made TNA Totalnon-stop action Like they were

(46:35):
God damn right.
As someone who would go LikeWatching TNA live was fun, but
it's Watching TNA live fun, butit's like watching TNA live.
And I definitely did this, especially because of the way
that they did it back then, because they would like record
it on, like Tuesday.

(46:57):
You watch it the next day andthen we would watch it when it
came out on Thursday or whatever.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Yeah, no, I would watch it like anytime I out on
Thursday or whatever.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Yeah, no, I would watch it Anytime I go to a
wrestling event nowadays.
If I went to go watch SmackDown, I don't go watch it back on TV
.
I just watched it there.
I don't go back to watch it.
Tna when I watch TNA in person,I watched it when it came out
on TV.

Speaker 1 (47:23):
Well, that was also a reason for that too, because
they also did tape certainmatches that this would happen
this week, but actually thatnext match they just taped in
front of us would actually benext week's match.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
So it was oftentimes you wanted to piece what the
week actually looked like Well, they did do that sometimes, but
you would know when it was goingfrom like one point to the
other kind of thing.
But it's like.
But even then, because, like, because usually if after you've
seen it's like, you know whatthe matches are, you know the
outcomes, you saw all thebackstage promos, but I still

(47:56):
watched it because it's adifferent experience watching it
with mike today and um, who washis name?
Don west.
Yeah, I was about to say DonWest which was the other
honorable mention so they putthe TNA guys as honorable
mentions.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
And that was disrespectful bro, absolute
disrespectful.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
I would put him, like I'd put Don West, like number,
like like maybe four or five, which one are you standing on?

Speaker 1 (48:23):
four, or five?
Which one are you standing on?

Speaker 2 (48:30):
Four or five, I'll put them five.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
Okay, five.
Okay, don West, number five, all right.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
You gotta be kidding me.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
There it is Don West doing that man.
It's the equivalent of the ohmy God for Tony Styles.
For me, and I also like-speaking of with Don West.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
I also like, because there's that short amount of
time when he was just being acomplete dirtbag, when he was
just being like a complete dirtbag, like he was just being the
most shittiest person ever, andwhat died him and him and today
were like butting heads likelike I, that that was good that
was good shit today has a goodvoice for commentary, while it's

(49:23):
very much on the higher pitchside.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
It makes a lot of sense for the high impact moves
for your voice to elevate tothat level, because it's like
the oh my god moments andespecially the high intensity.
Anybody's voice or anybody'stone should match that and a lot
of what Mike Tanay did.
It really matched the matches.
Yes.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
Yes, Absolutely no, you're absolutely right.
Ow that hurt.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Slapped my hand.
He hurt himself.
Y'all for picking Don West overMatt Stryker, that's what he
did.
Oh, okay, Okay, so from there,Pat McAfee.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
Keep the pushing.
What so from there, pat McAfee, keep it pushing.
What I'm not putting him on mytop 10 he is good though.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
He is good though he is so you say he's not better
than Wade Barrett absolutely not.
Oh, come on, he's literally thereason why you brought the
topic up, though.
So here's oh, come on, he'sliterally the reason why you
brought the topic up, though sohere's how.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
So there are when it comes to when I'm looking at my
favorite announcers right, it's,there's a situation where there
is the announcer and hissidekick.
Okay.
Michael Cole is the announcer.

(50:53):
Pat McAfee is his sidekick.
Pat McAfee is not, is not andcould not, and probably never
will not do what Joey Styles cando Real quick.
You can't put Pat McAfee onthere by himself.

Speaker 1 (51:14):
You're correct Real quick.
I now remember who Tom Phillipswas.
Tom Phillips was a previouscommentator for WWE and
currently is the commentator forTNA.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Oh, yep, that's alright Okay.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Yeah, he still gets next but.
Okay, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
But yeah, no like for me, okay with how I look at it.
Like Joey Styles, right, joeyStyles commentated by himself,
okay, and it was great.
I've heard Wade Barrettcommentate by himself and it was

(51:58):
great.
Pat McAfee cannot carry a showand commentate by himself.
It would be stupid.
Pat McAfee is carry a show andcommentate by himself.
It would be stupid.
Pat McAfee is a great sidekick.
Jerry Larry the King is a greatsidekick.
Taz to me, is a great sidekick.

(52:20):
Okay, kick, okay, ain't no wayyou can look me in my optic
stems and tell me you sit thereand listen to taz commentate
solo all right you got, you gota point, you got a point.

Speaker 1 (52:39):
So he's basically the equivalent of that to you.
Okay, he is the sidekick.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Because, whether if we want to admit it or like it
or not, but there are some rareoccasions, mm-hmm.
But there's the announcer, thecommentator, and there is his
comical sidekick.
Now, every once in a while, thecomical sidekick is better than

(53:05):
the commentator.
My point on that Bobby theBrain, heenan Vince McMahon.

Speaker 1 (53:12):
Okay, okay, or Jesse the Body Ventura.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
Vince McMahon.
You see the comment.
You see who's the sidekick, orreally the sidekick, and I don't
put him on the list very muchso, but still, and it's no, I'm
not my uncle, I'm gonna withdrawthat one because it's uh to me

(53:43):
they're both kind of sidekickybecause I was what I was going
to say was macho man, randysavage and vince mcmahon, but
they were both the sidekicksbecause there was jr yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, you got a pointthere.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
So, okay, that's Okay , that's where we're at.
So how about this?
All right, josh Matthews.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
You know, the farther we go onto this list, I'm like
I don't think they're going tosay any of the people that I
really like right now Because Ihaven't been keeping count, but
we've gone pretty far into 20.
And there's some names thathave not showed up that are
worrying me.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
We're almost there.
We're almost there, but I'mgonna next him, okay?
Um, so we now have Mauro Narro, which is obviously number one
for you.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
he is indeed he is number one, okay, michael Cole
so, michael Cole, I'll put himat 7 7.

Speaker 1 (55:14):
Michael Cole.
7 okay, michael Cole, 7 okay,okay.
Michael Cole.
Cole is 7 alright, so MichaelCole is 7 alright, so Michael
Cole is 7.
Gorilla Monsoon.
I'm now extending the 20 list, but continue, oh wait, so we've

(55:43):
passed the original 20 list.
No, we're like at 15.
But I'm extending it because Ijust thought of some people
that's not on here, like BookerT's not on here If we're at 15.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
Mm-hmm, and we're.

Speaker 1 (55:57):
Because we only have Booker T and Booker T, he's not
on the list.
So I was like Booker T's one, josh Matthews is one.
Cause these are people from theera of wrestling We've watched.
You know what I'm saying.
Cause Josh Matthews isdefinitely not on a top 20, but
I wanted to see where he was inyour mind.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
So it was that we were on.
Right now it's a we are on umgrow monster gorilla, gorilla
monsoon, gorilla Monsoon, I'mgoing to have to next him.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
Okay, okay, bobby the Brain.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
He makes my list.
Where do we put him?
I put him above, right above myokay, so he's a six okay.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
I'm gonna say next okay, all right because, uh,
like, while I enjoy it, I never,I never got to enjoy it.
I guess the way some fans wouldand I just didn't see, I didn't
see it.
It I guess the way some fanswould and I just didn't see it.
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
You know who's?
Another honorable mention thatjust came to my mind and I don't
know if he's on that list, mrPerfect.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
Oh, you know what?
That's the person I would thinkof, but yeah, they were not on
this list.
You know it's for the next, forthe one we just brought up was
the brain, the next one is thebody.
Just imagine, as a commentaryteam, the brain and the body
that would be crazy.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
It would be way too extra, way too much
Over-stimulation.
That's having Jesse the BodyVentura and Bobby the Brain
Heenan sitting at the tabletogether, that's oh, that's a
lot.
I don't think it's everhappened to my knowledge, but
man, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
it would be the functioning body, of the, of the
, of the wwe, because you needthe brain and the body.
The functionality of that likeI can literally hear fucking.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Uh, I can hear Jesse.
Right now it's like when yougot the brain and the butt just
yeah, yeah.
I would have to put bronze overbrains.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
You know what I'm saying.
Like all that shit could go onlike, oh yeah, so much.
Um, but yeah, the body knowwhat I'm saying.
Like all that shit could go onLike, oh yeah, so much.

Speaker 2 (58:34):
But yeah, the body.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
Jesse, I'm putting him at four.
I'm putting him at.
I know I'm probably going toget Again.
I'm going to have to re-advisethis.
He's going for eight.
Eight for me, eight for me,eight.
Okay, and I feel like it's justbecause I haven't had the

(58:59):
chance to bounce around who, butright now it's eight for me.
Fair, fair, um, but, jesse, thebody is for you, okay?
Tony Schiavone.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
Tony Schiavone.
That's pretty tough, honestly.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
I'm gonna keep it a buck.
He's a nine for me because Iwasn't a wcw guy and, granted, I
know him and I've heard of hiscommentary and it's not bad,
it's just so we're gonna have tomake a correction way barrett's

(59:52):
out.
Man, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (59:54):
All right, I'm keeping up with you, by the way,
and the craziest thing is isthe fact that I never watched
wcw yeah same.
I mean watch some stuff a lotso this is me getting tony
giovanni strictly from aew, andif he is as good as he is in aew

(01:00:14):
, then maybe I need to go backand watch some wcw he was I like
tony giovanni he, he definitelywas as good as he was then,
because especially he was goingover goldberg, goldberg matches.

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
oh, fuck, fuck, yes, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
When it comes to looking at the announcers that
they have at AEW.
Tony Schiavone, what's?
His name Goddamn.
We just said his name earlier, the one that he does, the one
that's always on who's about tohave that match um michael, um

(01:00:55):
nigel mcginnis nigel.
So like, like him and nigel aresuch a good combo.
I, I fucking love them.
And so it's like and andthey're both great announcers
Him and Nigel, absolutelyperfect, freaking um.
And when they have like thefour stack announcers when they

(01:01:17):
got Taz and um, that's too muchat one time, but yes.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
No, excalibur is actually and here's the thing,
he's number seven on that list.
Mmm Excalibur.
I do not feel like Excalibur isactually and here's the thing,
he's number seven on that list.
Excalibur.
I do not feel like Excalibur isa number seven.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Excalibur doesn't make my list.
But I do like him, but it'slike I will pick Tony Schiavone
over Excalibur every single time.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Okay, so we have that .
So, since we're on Excalibur, where do you put pinpoints at
Caliber?
Oh, he don't make my list.
Okay, you don't make he don'tmake my life either, but he
don't make, I like him.
Yeah, pause, but um Taz.

Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
Taz barely makes my list.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
Hmm, but the reason why he makes my list is because
he is a good partner for michaelcole, for mike, today for
excalibur yes, like he is, he isa good sidekick, he, he's a

(01:02:29):
good wrestler color commentator, because you know how, when they
always want to put a formerwrestler in the role, yeah, he's
that one.
He, he like where.
Where is way barrett?
Where is king?
Where is taz?
Where is nigel mcginnis?
Like whoever was the formerwrestler doing it to me, he's
one of the best ones.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
I'll give him that he's one of the best ones.
I will easily give him that heis definitely up there, and I'll
even say more so he isdefinitely up there as far as
like the modern ones kind ofthing because, like I would say,
like other, some of the otherwrestlers who I don't put on my

(01:03:17):
list but I feel were better, like, like, like, like a mr
perfect kind of thing, likethough mr perfect, he didn't do
it a whole bunch, but like Ireally liked when he did it and
how he would do it, kind ofthing.
Like.
So Now the other one who Idon't know if he's on there, but

(01:03:38):
like talking about, like an oldwrestler who used to freaking
I'm not going to lie kind offuck with Don Callis, like he
don't make my list but he kindof does it for me, don Callis is
a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
Don Callis is a good one too.
Especially when he was in ECWas well, he was a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
I didn't know he was in ECW.

Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Yeah, so at one point when Joey Styles he had a
secondary commentator.
It's like near the scale end ofthe show, but he did have a
commentator with him, Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
And that was Don.

Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Callis.
Yep, he wasn't Don Callis then, but he was the lip.
So his role is what they wantedto do was.
Tnt wanted to constantly censorthe show or whatever.
So he was basically hischaracter was.
He came from the execs and thepeople from TNT to make sure we

(01:04:40):
censor the product.
I forgot what his name like, his role or whatever it was, but
he was pretty much the the TNTenthusiast right and he did
everything by the book.
We're going to do this, we'regoing to do that and we're going
to make sure we talk big aboutyou know how to properly do
certain things, but Joey's likeno, we should be extreme, we

(01:05:02):
should be raw, we should be.
That's not for the network.
That's not for the network.
That's what it was, the network.
It took me a moment to rememberit, but it was the network.

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
I actually just looked it up just to look him up
real quick.
He looks really good for us.
He is 61 years old.
I would have never guessed he'sdone a lot of stuff in.

Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
WWE, from WWE to TNA to ECW.
That man got around.
He was somehow always able tostay employed.

Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
Him.
Cutting his hair bald is whatmakes him look so much younger.
There's some other photos ofwhen he was doing the old man
thing, still holding on to thehair.
It's all like ooh.
Stop it, stop it, yeah, stop it, let it go, let it go.

(01:05:56):
So Yep, but man looking at himwhen he used to have a lot of
hair different man.

Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
He like a douche.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Complete douche that too.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
But so different man.
He like a complete douche.
That too.
But um so okay.
But you said don callous is noton your list at all, right, no
okay, not on your list.
All right, cool, sorry, um, allright.
So that's okay, this one.
It says he's on the list, butwe've never watched him.
It's Lance Russell.
He is a part of the Memphiscrew.

(01:06:32):
He was.
You know, if you watched NWA.

Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Okay, yeah, I'm not familiar with him.
Okay, I have heard the namebefore, but I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
So let's go over some people because your list is not
completed, so let's go oversome people.
Oh, Joey Styles.
Where's Joey Styles on yourlist?
Joey Styles?

Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
I didn't really care that much about him either.
Yeah, no, I'd probably end upnexting him.
Okay, he wasn't bad, but hedidn't turn pages for me, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
All right, so Mauro is yours right For number one.
So what does my list look likeright now?
What am I missing?
All right, so he said.
But Mauro, Mauro is yours rightFor number one.
So what does my list look likeright now?
Like, what am I missing?
Give me one second, I got youon.
I'm just trying to put all thenames in properly.
What happened?
Why can't I find his name?

(01:07:46):
Okay, cool, so your list rightnow consists of let's see here.
So we have number 10 is TonyGiovanni.
You have.
Nine is nothing you have.
Eight is nothing.

(01:08:07):
You have seven as nothing.
You have eight as nothing.
You have seven as Michael Six,as Bobby.
Five is Don West.
Four is Body.
Three is Mike Tenet, jr3.
And Mauro and Arlo as number.
Jr is two.
Yeah, jr is two, excuse me, jris two.

(01:08:29):
And Mauro and Arlo as number.
Oh, jr's two, yeah, JR's two,excuse me, jr's two.
And Mauro is one.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Oh, um Taz.
I put him as nine.

Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
Oh, you did.
Okay, I thought you said youdidn't make the list, sorry, no,
no, no.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
Taz makes the list.
Okay, I was saying the factthat there were other wrestlers
that I feel like could have beenbetter commentators, but they
only did it for a quick or a hotminute type situation, Whereas
there wasn't enough for me totruly go on, for me to be like I

(01:09:06):
don't know.
I'm going to pick this guyinstead of myself.

Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
You're missing eight wasn't enough for me to truly go
on, for me to be like I don'tknow.
I'm going to pick this guyinstead of myself.
Okay, you're missing eight andyou put Bobby at six.

Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
I think I'm missing six, bobby at six and Michael
Cole should have been seven, ifI remember correctly.

Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Yep Michael Cole seven.

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
So I'm missing six and you are missing.
I don't think you're missinganything else after that.
Oh, eight, I'm just missingeight.
Mm-hmm, because I put Bobby aseight.
I put the body.
Oh no, I put Jesse the body ateight.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Hmm, hmm, I put Jesse the body at eight.
I'm trying to think of who theybuy.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
So we do have Booker T.
Yeah, Booker T is an option.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
So, oh, and you know who, he didn't say who, unless
we said it and I didn't realizeit, who is Jerry Larry the King
Lawler?

Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
oh shit, yeah, we didn't say King.
No, we didn't say King.
Wow, wow, wow.
That's fucked up, exactlythat's fucked up that's fucked
up.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Why was he wasn't?

Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
wait, wait, wait.
Let me go back to this.
No, he is not Wild Wild.
Yep, jerry is not on this list.
Absolutely wild.

Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
That is stone cold, crazy.
No no, larry.
King Wow.
No, jerry, larry the King Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
And they even picked William Regal over here, which
is crazy.
I'm like I don't even rememberWilliam Regal doing shit.
I don't, that's funny because.

Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
I put Jerry, larry the King and Booker t in the
same spot what would that be?
They both.
Both of them would tie fornumber eight for me okay, but
you got to pick one, though Ihave to pick.
Well, I'm probably gonna pickjerry larry king.

Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
Well, I'm probably going to pick Jerry Lurdy King.
Okay, the King, all right.
King for me would be six.
King for me would be six, because there ain't no way.
Ain't no way in hell.

(01:11:46):
I forgot that shit.
I feel like ass right now, goddamn.
So right now we got as a list10 is Vince McMahon for me, 10
for you is Tony Schiavone.
Nine I didn't do a nine yet,okay, nine.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
Let's see here Double rainbow all the way.

Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
I would say Tony is 9 , tony's 9 for me.
Good old Shivani, tony's 9 forme.
Uh, you got Bobby the Brain forme at 8.
The king for you.
The king for you.
Paulie is 7 for me.
Michael Cole 7 for you.
The king for you.
Paulie is seven for me.
Michael Cole seven for you.

(01:12:31):
Bobby, the brain is your pick.
For number six.
My pick is the king.
Matt Stryker is five for me.
Don West is five for you.
Bobby, the brain is four foryou.
Actually, I'm not even evengonna disrespect the king like

(01:12:53):
that.
What the fuck am I doing?
Hold on, he said I'm not evendisrespecting the king like that
.
Oh, slow down, grab the forestking.
God damn it.
Forest king, let me, let mereset the forest king already
making them changes.
Yeah, yeah, forest King, whowas it?

(01:13:14):
We just mentioned somebody andI had to re switch that.
Let's see here.
Freak, don West is five for you, right?
Don West is eight.
Don West is eight.
I, how did this reverse in his?
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
I know, I know You're all like.
I think I got this boy now andall of a sudden it's like wait,
he's done.
Well, damn, I'm not done.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
Oh no, no, no, no, don West, you said King is six,
right, you said King six, no,king, no, no, no, no.
King was 6 for me.
Excuse me, don West is 6 for me.
Bobby is 6 for you.
My apologies, I was looking itwrong.
Don West is 6 for me.
Don West is 5 for you, 8 for me, 8 for me.

(01:14:05):
We went over Booker team.
How about this?
Real quick, mick Foley.
Mick Foley plays anywhere foryou.

Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
Mick Foley did commentary.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Hell yeah, it was very brief, very brief.

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Mick Foley, he doesn't move the dial.

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
Okay, jim Cornette.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Almost Actually.

Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
Jim Cornette is my eight.
I'll do that, jim Cornette.
That cause you, cornette, he,he said some wild shit and I
love it as a commentator Boy.
So official list, official list, and I'm gonna go off of, like

(01:14:54):
me, and then you.
Alright, so Vince for me and 10also when you do that.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
I just want just as an interesting thought when you
say, like what was your 10 andthen my 10, and you go down the
list, imagine them being thecommentators for wrestling.
When you say, like what wasyour tenant and my tenant, you
go down the list, imagine thembeing the commentators for
wrestling, just to see if thosewould actually be good matches.

Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
Here's the thing, because in some of them we
completely shake hands on bothof them though, so it's like how
would that work?

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
I mean, then it's like that just means it's not
good of an answer.
Or even more.
So be like would you listen tothat person by themselves.

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
All right man, All right Tony, Schiavone and Vince.

Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
Tony Schiavone and Vince McMahon would actually be
great, I think.
Oh my, God, he's going over thetop rope.
I feel like it would be good, but I also feel as if that they
would like.
There's a small bit of me thatfeels like they might actually
kind of sort of be the same to acertain degree.

Speaker 1 (01:16:05):
Like I think they would be JR and Vince together.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
Yeah, it would be I think it was JR and King JR and
um JR and Vince together.
Yeah, yeah, yeah it would be,but I, I think, I think it'd be
a tolerable, I think it'd begood.

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
Yeah, I feel like it.
I feel like it would, becauseVince's cop is the play-by-play,
but so is.
So, guys, in the comments,y'all let us know how would
y'all feel about Tony Giovanniand Vince McMahon.
I'm curious.
Tony Giovanni and Vince, allright.
Number nine Taz and TonyGiovanni, which we already see

(01:16:38):
it already, we already know itworks.
It already works all right.
Oh my God, this one is insane.
Number eight Jesse the Body andJim Cornette.

Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Oh my Overstimulated, it's buck wild.
It's crazy.
It's so good that show isinsane bro.

Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
I'm sorry, that show would be insane.

Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Oh man, from Jesse to body constantly dunking on Jim
Cornette and Jim Cornette justget pissed off at Jesse to body
and whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:17:18):
oh my god, that's it's like okay so you remember
how you were saying, paulie andJim JR.
It was like at that borderline, like man, I want y'all to fight
.
It's that, it's not that, it'snot all the way there.
It's like they throw jabs thatare good enough to say, alright
cool, that was a nice jab, it'sa nice jab, yeah, yeah, yeah,

(01:17:42):
yeah, cause JR and Paulie wereswinging.

Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
Yeah, they was just yeah, they're doing just the
straight haymakers, just BecauseJR and Paulie were swinging.
Yeah, they were just yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17:55):
They're doing just the straight haymakers.
You know how the street beefthey stand punching.
You know dumb video people befighting, they be stand punching
.
No way, shit before you.
Yes.
Or another good example inhockey.
You know when in hockey theystart fighting, they start
grabbing each other's jersey.
Yes, that was JR and Paulie thewhole fucking night.

(01:18:19):
Oh man, oh man.
So next one which I can see isvery tolerable Michael Cole and
Paulie.

Speaker 2 (01:18:29):
We got a taste of that at WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
We did, and that's what I'm saying.
It's tolerable.

Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
It could happen.
It could happen and they'deasily make it work.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So number six Bobby the Brainand Don West.

Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
I feel.
See, the problem is they are.
I feel like they'd be the sameperson.
Yeah, they're too much alike,or at least like it's one of
those things where they're bothheel alike, or at least like
it's one of those things wherethey're both heel, for lack of
better terms well also is.

Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
The fact is that with bobby's commentary it would not
match the tna background orlike that.
You gotta be like.
You know seeing stuff like that.
That's what made don so cool asa commentator.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
Yeah, it'd be one of those things where I they would
actually end up being like Ithink those two together uh
would end up making don lookmore like the jr to bobby the
brains.
Uh, uh, jerry larry king hewould have to.

Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
It would have to be that literally.
There's no other way it wouldwork, because you can't have Don
West be the play-by-play andthen him be.
You have to make Don West theplay-by-play and make Bobby the
heel, because Bobby is the bestat doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:20:04):
It'd be doable.
It's one of those things likeit'd be doable, but you're
wasting one or the other'stalents just a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
Exactly, there's a better combination which is
funny to me, because when we goto five, um, it's matt striker
and don west and I feel like, because of how matt striker is
as a commentator, he's basicallya little bit of a watered down
version of Mike today.

(01:20:31):
I will, I'm not even gonna lie,he's not what I was saying.
When I say watered down, I canI'm in a bad way.
It's like where Mike today is,the more tenured per version or
the more veteran version.
I feel like a lot of hisinspirations went to Mike.
Mass striker Does that makesense.

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Okay, I see, yeah, I feel, see, it'd be one of those
things where I feel that, havingif those two being together, I
feel like Matt Stryker might getlike now this is also me with a
slightly limited Matt Strykerexperience, but I feel that Matt
match striker might get um,like what's the word I want to

(01:21:14):
use, not outshined, but like, absolutely not you.

Speaker 1 (01:21:19):
You, once you start watching lucha, you can.
You'll see what I'm talkingabout in his commentary style,
with him and vampiro, which I'mso sorry, vampiro oh fuck oh man
save it, just save it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:39):
No, no, no actually he's not.

Speaker 1 (01:21:41):
He's not on it.
I don't think he's on it.
I don't think he I don't thinkhe's but it was just one of
those people I had to thinkabout like damn, like that's
another one.
Fuck, oh man.
But he might be on therebecause Vampiro is the
equivalent of you know how CoreyGraves is a dick, but he also

(01:22:08):
is somewhat of a play by playbecause he, matter of fact, he's
the equivalent of the formerwrestler who is now commentator,
right.
So just like any of them, because Taz to me, if we're
talking about okay, so yeah, macho man, which we didn't even
say macho man, by the way, youdon't have to, you don't have to

(01:22:29):
, so out of the equivalent yesout of the equivalent of
wrestlers who are previouslycomment and who are currently
commentators, whatever.
So let's think about real quick,mr Perfect macho, the Bobby
Bobby the brain, because wait,no, he was a manager.
Only right, he was only amanager.
Okay.
So Jesse the Body, taz.

Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Gorilla Monsoon.

Speaker 1 (01:22:56):
Gorilla, monsoon Excalibur.
Vampiro Match Strikertechnically, who else?
Vampiro Matt Strykertechnically um who else?
Who else we missing?

Speaker 2 (01:23:14):
there was David Otunga fuck no, and you know who
else we did not bring up.
When you thinking aboutfreaking, um, uh, coach, he's
not, not a former wrestler, justanother announcer.

Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
Coach.
Coach was better as apersonality.
He had the dumbest fuckingtheme song.
You thought Silk the ShockerFucking rapping was ass?
His theme song was ass Okay.
Shocker fucking rapping was ass.
His theme song was ass Okay.
Sorry, but getting back on that, to me Taz is the top, for me

(01:24:02):
Vampyr will be second or third.

Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
When it comes to your wrestling tour.

Speaker 1 (01:24:10):
Because Booger T, I want to say, is two.
I want to say that, but it'smainly because of the oh yeah,
suck it, duck it quick, all thatdumb ass shit he makes it funny
, he makes it funny.

Speaker 2 (01:24:23):
Don't get me started.
We're not ready to talk aboutthat bit yet, because I got some
things to say.

Speaker 1 (01:24:30):
Oh yeah, All right, I didn't know Booker T was
Kool-Aid man.
That's crazy, oh yeah, man.
Oh yeah, man.
So next up is number four.
Number four is going to beJesse, the Body and the King.

Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
It wouldn't work.
It wouldn't work.
This is the first day of all ofthis.
This one's no it just becauseit wouldn't.
They're two way too extremepersonalities like they would
start off and it would actuallyjust come to blows and then it

(01:25:16):
would be a wrestling match likethey.
They just would.

Speaker 1 (01:25:22):
They couldn't which era of jr though?
We talking about puppy's era,or we talking about talking
about when he toned it, the fuckdown a little bit?

Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
Period, okay okay, I'm just curious Now, it'd be
much more worse if we're talkinglike the early, all the way,
pretty much all of Attitude EraKing with Jesse the body Hell,
though Dang.
That definitely wasn't gonnawork.
Maybe later on king, when hekind of sort of like, when he

(01:25:54):
like kind of calmed down and hewasn't specifically with jr and
you know, and he and he wasn'thollering at the ladies as
strongly kind of, but I stillfeel like they would.
It still wouldn't work for him.
Okay, you know, like now, maybelike late king, when king was

(01:26:16):
you know michael cole, what, yeah, when he was with michael
cole and like he was in that erawhere you know like if someone
messed with him or michael cole,he'd stand up for him and was
like all right, now you're notgonna do in front of me.
You know like, okay, maybemaybe, but then it wouldn't be

(01:26:36):
as fun anymore yeah, because you, you kind of need the craziness
that was king exactly so it'slike it's just uh, that's,
that's the first dud all right, well, number Well, number three.

Speaker 1 (01:26:47):
we said both Mike Tenet, both for three on that
one.

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):
And Mike Tenet could do it by himself if he needed to
.
He could.
He's that damn good.

Speaker 1 (01:26:57):
I got a picture with him that's dope You're going to
have to show me so I can put itin the video.
I got to find it.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Okay, I know where to look, though.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
So I'd be able to find it easily.
Bet number two is jr, but Idon't feel like jr yeah, we will
have jr.

Speaker 1 (01:27:15):
Yeah, ah, okay, but part of me feels like I can't
watch a match solo with jr, justonly like I could.

Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
But like like I feel like it's missing something it
will feel like it's missingsomething, because JR JR is, if
I were to quote Neo, he is amovement by himself, but he is a
force when he is together withsomebody else.

Speaker 1 (01:27:47):
I'll agree with that.

Speaker 2 (01:27:50):
I'll agree with that.

Speaker 1 (01:27:51):
Thank you, good song um, and then number one, which I
feel like there's no way inhell like this.
This should be the commentaryfor AEW show, right, joey Styles
and Mauro and I?
Oh, it's way too hype.

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
It's over the top it is.
It's intense to know MauroRanallo and Joey Styles would
kill themselves on an AEWpay-per-view.
They'd get halfway through andyou'd just hear like the sound,
like it's just a because they'vedied because of sensory

(01:28:36):
overload with the wrestling.
Oh my.

Speaker 1 (01:28:42):
God.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
Mama Mia, just fucking.
It'd be like, oh my Mama Mia,literally baby.
At the same time like, if youwant to hear them losing their
shit, put those two watching avery lit MMA fight.

(01:29:03):
They put them as MMAcommentators oh my goodness, hey
it the sky.
I would just.
I would watch MMA, just to hearthem react to the knockouts.

Speaker 1 (01:29:21):
Oh my God, did you see that?

Speaker 2 (01:29:24):
Just it.
Oh, it'd be so good.

Speaker 1 (01:29:28):
It would be a crazy show and I'm kind of curious of
what other people would say sogood, it would be a crazy show,
and I'm kind of curious of whatother people would say about
that.
How would you feel about thislist guys?
Could you see some of thesecombinations of commentators
together in a show?
And if not, how about this?
Give us a team, and I don't.
I don't like the threes, Idon't like the fourth.

(01:29:49):
I like to.
Two is two is how much.
Like the fours.
I like two.
Two is how much it reallyshould be.
Having four people is a lot.
It's a lot going on.
It feels like it's the homies, though it do feel like the
homies are watching the showtogether.
It does feel like that, butit's just, it's something.
It's something special about it, like the six-sided ring, like

(01:30:16):
you should not take it away, butyou did, that's fair.
Because the six-sided ring, knowing how much it may have
hurt the wrestlers andunfortunately I got to respect
that.
But it's like when you took itaway you took TNA away a little
bit that.
But it's just like when youtook it away you took TNA away a
little bit Like the six-sidedring era is honestly the best
era of TNA.
It's just like how people saythe add-to era of WWE is the

(01:30:40):
best era.
The six-sided ring era of TNAis the best TNA 100%, but they
be trying.

Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
They're doing some things right now.
They are they are.
I've been watching.
Now I will say I did miss itthis week, but I do want to go
back and watch.
There's a pay-per-view tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:31:02):
I think there's a pay-per-view tonight.
Hold on.

Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
Not a TNA pay-per-view.
There's two pay-per-viewstonight.
It's Battlegrounds for NXT inthe AEW pay-per-view.

Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
I do remember seeing.

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
Which is the first time in a minute where I'm like,
wow, so they really out herecompeting pay-per-views.
Right now NXT is going upagainst what is it All Out, all
In, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (01:31:35):
AEW.
No, no, I'm trying to pull up.
No, no, hold on.
Oh, they're in Canada right now.
What?

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
for TNA TNA's in Canada.

Speaker 1 (01:31:49):
TNA doesn't have a pay-per-view tonight None at all
, but they're apparently inCanada right now.
They're doing the.

Speaker 2 (01:31:57):
Yeah, they are about to have a pay-per-view coming up
soon, because the Hardys aresupposed to be going up against
the Nimeth Brothers Against allodds.

Speaker 1 (01:32:08):
Yeah, they're going to be going up against the
Nimeth Brothers, because thenimeth brothers because the
nimeth brothers managed to takethe titles from them.

Speaker 2 (01:32:14):
However, it's like there's the hardys are at
deficit because apparently jeffhardy is not allowed in canada,
for some reason.
Well, I say for some reason, but we know what?
As a uh under siege.

Speaker 1 (01:32:27):
That's what it was.
Under Siege just happenedFriday.

Speaker 2 (01:32:29):
That's what it was oh that, so they already had their
that was the pay-per-view.

Speaker 1 (01:32:37):
I was talking about it's Under Siege and that was
Friday.

Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
Oh, shit, I guess now I have to go.
But like, see, that's the thingabout this week.
This week there was so muchhappening with wrestling at one
time.
It's like it's hard to be ableto just talk about it all in one
freaking go bro.
Like, first off, wwe giving thebiggest middle finger to new

(01:33:09):
orleans and the biggest middlefinger to New Orleans and the
biggest middle finger to DwayneJohnson.
I can't believe WWE hasliterally undone and erased
everything the Rock has createdand promoted throughout last

(01:33:31):
year.
Everything that the Rock didlast year or prior to
WrestleMania doesn't matter,doesn't exist.
It's been wiped clean.
And the fact that it's all theway down to the point where hey,
you know how we were going tohave WrestleMania in New Orleans
, yeah, we're not doing thatanymore, but maybe one day we

(01:33:55):
will, and as a consolation prizeyou guys can have money in the
bank.
Huh.
Money in the bank in New Orleansin 2026?
That'll do it for you, right?
You like that shit.
I've seen conflictinginformation, but from what I'm

(01:34:20):
seeing or at least the thingthat I've seen the most and it
could be wrong and it mightchange but they're saying that
they're going to keepWrestleMania in Las Vegas for
next year too, and even more so,they're thinking about making
WrestleMania just always be inLas Vegas, which I think is

(01:34:45):
stupid.
It is the worst, but.
But the problem is money talks.
Everybody has a price somebody, nobody well, in this particular
case, they don't want to pay.
They they're trying to skiphaving to pay certain things,

(01:35:07):
possibly, but it's just like manand let me know, people have
bought WrestleMania tickets, soI'm wondering what happens with
those Refund they have to.
Do you think they?

Speaker 1 (01:35:21):
get the refund they have to.

Speaker 2 (01:35:23):
Huh, listen, wwe would have to refund.

Speaker 1 (01:35:30):
I think the last count I saw was like over, like
like 90 000 tickets and that'swhat they're gonna have to do,
because if they do go to vegas, people, while those people can
buy those tickets, those peoplecame in mind to it being in new
orleans, right, so they may notimmediately have people refund

(01:35:52):
them, but they may say like, hey, if you would like the option
to refund and give you therefund back, right, so that way
they can start reselling thosetickets and ensuring there are
more people who are going to go,because, yes, they say these
people bought those tickets.
Some people can be dicks and belike well, I bought the ticket,
might not go, and now you knowit doesn't look as full of a

(01:36:16):
house as it should be.
That's just where my brain isgoing.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
Maybe Like it's funny , because a lot of people are
all like they're not going toget that refund back.
They're going to credit them.
I'm like they better not Like Ihope, oh, they're going to
credit them and I'm like I thinkthat or not, like I hope.
Yeah, that would suck.
But even for me, what I feel isgoing to be the wild thing is
the fact that, like and I know Iwould be pissed if I went and I

(01:36:41):
spent a whole bunch of money onWrestleMania tickets, right,
and then they change like theydid, and then when I go to buy
the same tickets they're moreexpensive Heated, there is no
level of anger I can describewith words on how mad I would be

(01:37:07):
, on how mad I would be if I'mlike, if I spent $3,000 to get
floor tickets, which thatprobably might not actually get
you floor tickets, which iscrazy to say but if I spent
$3,000 to get floor tickets andthen I go back and they're all
like, hey, floor tickets are now$4,000, damn, I'll suck my dick

(01:37:29):
.
Suck my dick from behind,brother.
Like that's just.
That is absolute foolishness, dog, exactly, I'm giving the
same fucking stank face becauseit's wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:37:43):
It's absolutely wild and ridiculous.
No, pause is crazy anyway, ha.

Speaker 2 (01:37:51):
Listen, I never pause .
That's just what it is.
It is.
The universe does not have theattention span to be pausing all
the fucking time.
We live in a world where weneed things right now, so we
either we either are going tostop at about face or we're just

(01:38:11):
going to drive the train justresume press play I.
I resume like, as you said, webroke the start button okay okay
, well, but like with erasingDwayne Johnson stuff and then

(01:38:36):
going into the fullness of thisweek, I'm going to try and keep
it plain and simple with some ofthe things that went down.
That horrible accident with thewomen's match where old girl
destroyed her leg.

Speaker 1 (01:38:56):
Oh yeah, that unfortunate event man, that shit
looks so painful, that's kindof how my knee felt after my
sumo match, actually.

Speaker 2 (01:39:08):
Your leg shouldn't bend that way.
And Zoe, her leg bent hard, like I don't know if you heard
it, but it was like I was doingsomething and I just hear her
screaming bloody murder.
I'm like, oh, like I have.
I actually have to look up andsee what exactly got fucked up
on it, but it's like with whathappened to her remember when

(01:39:32):
freaking Psycho said that thejumping off the top broke Big
Boot and he broke the fuck outof his leg?
Yeah, it reminded me of that.
It definitely reminded me ofthat.
To this day, to this day, yeah,it's painful, painful, but, um,
this day, to this day, yeah,it's pretty painful, painful, um

(01:39:54):
, to this day, but uh, one thingI did want to also bring up
when it came to raw and I findit kind of funny gunther right
now giving off really big vegetavibes now, how so?
Real big Vegeta vibes?
So when he came out there andhe's talking to Logan Paul,

(01:40:18):
right, he's like you know, loganPaul, you're going to go and
you're going to fight and allthis other stuff, because they
had this little thing andGunther starts talking about how
listen, you see this as abusiness, all of this.
I see this as being verypersonal kind of thing, and he

(01:40:41):
was like you, going to fight JeyUso and trying to take the belt
from him.
If you do that, I'm going totake that very personal because
I don't want you it's like, though they tried to make it say
that he doesn't care who wins.
Gunther made it very obvious.

(01:41:02):
Like listen, if you beat JeyUso for that title, I'm really
going to beat your ass, becauseyou're taking that opportunity
away from me to beat jay usoffor the title, and I'm okay with
that.
And I'm like, damn, if that isnot the biggest vegeta energy,

(01:41:24):
because vegeta, especially earlyvegeta, early vegeta, would be
all like no, no, no, you don'tdo shit to kakarot.
All right, that's my job.
I'm supposed to beat his ass,I'm supposed to kill that clown.
Okay, that's, that's for me.
So if you think you're gonna goover there and beat goku, I

(01:41:47):
don't think so you gotta runthrough me before you can get to
him, because I'm supposed toget to him and I'm just like,
alright, alright, gunther, I seeyou bruv.

Speaker 1 (01:42:00):
That is definitely very big Vegeta energy.
Very big Vegeta energy Super.

Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
So Now Also, I did want to make the the fact that
you know finn bowler got a w hegot the pin and I think and this
was the only thing I notedabout that they gave his rap

(01:42:26):
song back.
Finn Balor's entrance music.

Speaker 1 (01:42:32):
It's a rap song.
Yeah, yeah, no, that's the newdays theme, not the new days
judgment days theme.

Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
No, no, no the judgment day does not have the
rap song.
That's Finn's theme song withthe rapping in it.
the new one, the new one, yeah, when he came out to the Rumble
with Because they kept doing thething where it's like they'll
let him have it, then they takeit away, then they let him have
it, then take it away, let takeit away.
And they gave it back to himthis week.

(01:43:01):
So I'm like, okay, let's seehow long this lasts.
But then, speaking of rap songsand I was so disappointed at
this on NXT Trick Williams Again.

Speaker 1 (01:43:19):
Trick Williams, he does not need to do it.
He does not need to do it, hedoes not have that gift gift.

Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
Let me just say that booker t is mentally ill because
this clown through the wholerap song being his hype man.
Yeah, tell him.
I'm just like booker t, shutthe.
Please, please, booker, stopBooker T.

(01:43:50):
This isn't good.
It's not good.
Booker T, stop it.
You're doing way too much rightnow and he's so into this track
.
You know it's like you're justan average Joe.
Yeah, you're just an averageJoe.
I'm like, oh my god, come onnow.

(01:44:11):
Yeah, man, just, oh, god it.
But like trick man.
Number one he forgot the lyricsto his song.
Lost all of my credibilityright off the spot.
Okay, he forgot all the lyrics,or he kept forgetting the
lyrics.
Number two he's rapping on topof the lyrics, so the lyrics are

(01:44:33):
actually playing and he'srapping into the microphone and
when he's rapping he's rappingwith no confidence.
So it's like where thebackground vocals is all like
you know, he's, he's, he soundslike this, him on the mic.
He's like, yeah, like he'strying to rap.
It's like when someone's tryingto rap to a song but they don't

(01:44:55):
know the lyrics, so they'retrying to listen to the lyrics
and say them while they'rerapping at the same time type
deal.

Speaker 1 (01:45:01):
That's what he sounded like the whole time as a
rapper it was it was understandhow important that is, to not
have to rap over lyrics.
Yes, so do you see it?

Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
And then, if you're going to rap over lyrics, at
least sound like you know yourfucking lyrics, bruv, which he
didn't.
It was bad.
I'm sitting here and I'm like Iam embarrassed.
I am embarrassed as an artist.

Speaker 1 (01:45:28):
And this is how I felt with him and the Ethan Page
and he made those two songs.
None of them were hits, none ofthem were good, but how is it
Ethan Page actually makes thegood song?
I don't know.
Trick, you need to stop rapping, don't do it.
Look at me in the camera, realquick, trick.

(01:45:50):
I admire you as a wrestler.
I enjoy who you are.
Don't pick it.
No, look at, look at me in thecamera, real quick, trick.
I admire you as a wrestler.
I enjoy who you are.
Don't pick up a fucking micanymore, okay.
Or, if you do, probably havesomebody ghost write your shit,
like if it's you, no, no,because whoever wrote ethan
page's shit was actually fuckinggood.
Yours poodoo, okayoo, okay, poodoo, straight poodoo.

(01:46:12):
I have no problem saying thatas a former rapper myself.
You don't want to smoke.
You just put down the mic.
Put it down, don't pick it up.

Speaker 2 (01:46:25):
Yeah, that definitely killed it for me on that one,
Like, but then when we flip thescript and we go to AEW, AEW,
yeah, that definitely killed itfor me on that one.
But then when we flip thescript and we go to AEW, AEW
probably had one of their bestweeks this week, kind of Kind of
Because, man, let me tell youabout this Hangman, Adam Page

(01:46:50):
and Billy Goat promo that theyhad on AEW Fam.
That was some of the mostpowerful, most precise and
beautiful storytelling and promoI have ever seen.
I would be willing to say thatwas like promo of the year all

(01:47:12):
round.
I don't think anybody, I don'tthink anybody is beating that
segment.
I don't think anyone's beatingthat.
And this is with the Cody stuff.
Like Cody falls short of theBilly Goat and Hangman cause
when they're talking and youknow freaking, you know Cody
falls short of the Billy Goatand Hangman Because when they're

(01:47:33):
talking and our neighborhoodBilly Goat, Osprey, he's just
like I need this, he's like Iwant this.
He's talking about how he wantsto be able to take the belt
back home and when they do thebig show in London he can show
the belt off and wear it proudamongst his people and blah,

(01:47:55):
blah, blah.
And then Heyman Page comes inand he's all like listen, I hear
you and I see what you'resaying, but there's a difference
between you and I.
You want this, I need this.
When Hangman Page the way thathe said I need this, oh, I felt

(01:48:21):
that shit.
Like like you could hear oh, mylittle alarm went off, but like
you can hear it in his voicehow badly he needed this.
Like I could go on foreverabout that promo.
That promo was fuckingbeautiful.

(01:48:41):
It was so good.
I absolutely watched it twice.

Speaker 1 (01:48:47):
I'd never do shit like that.
That's good.
No, it was a really good promo.
I'd never do shit like that.
That's good.
It was a really good promo.

Speaker 2 (01:48:52):
I literally had to watch and listen to that shit
twice because it was thatfreaking good.
I don't think it's possible foranyone to top that right now,
because the promo and then thestory that goes with both it's

(01:49:13):
so solid, it's so good and thething is, I know they're going
to deliver on it, which is whyI'm at this crossroads right now
, because aew's pay-per-view ishappening.
I'm pretty certain it'shappening at the exact same time
as the NXT pay-per-view.

(01:49:34):
Now, of course, I'll be honestwith you.
I'm probably going to watch theNXT pay-per-view first because
I have to pay for the AEW one.
So there's that.
But at the same time, Idefinitely am going.
I, if it wasn't for the factthat I had to pay for it, I'm
not gonna lie, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (01:49:57):
I might, I would, I probably would have picked aw
over nxt tonight I'm gonna watchit and I'm gonna watch aw,
because I'm gonna watch it onthat one site, because yeah but
like, I mean, so will I.

Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
but it's like, as far as which one I'm going to try
and watch first, like I'm goingto watch nxt first, I'm gonna
just keep it.
Keep that simple.
However, as soon as I can getthrough nxt, or if nxt does some
stuff, it makes me feel likeyou know what, it ain't gonna be
worth my time, which I know isnot going to happen, because NXT

(01:50:33):
is NXT and they stay NXT-ing.
But, like, if they give me justa little inkling, I'm going to
AEW Because I know the AEWpay-per-view is about to be
fucking lit, because then, goingon with AEW with all the shit
that they got, going on MJFfinally being a part of the HERD

(01:50:53):
business, all that shithappened.

Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
Cedric Alexander is coming to AEW soon.

Speaker 2 (01:51:01):
That part like that we have.
Uh, what was it?
Um, looking at my little notesthat I had here Fam, I'm going
to call it Because I saw, Ithink I heard it in the promo,
but I think Mercedes Monet, Ithink she's about to be on her
way to bankruptcy.

(01:51:21):
Oh by losing these belts.
She's about to lose everything.
It's coming.
I honestly believe it's coming.
She's not going to win.

Speaker 1 (01:51:33):
You think they create a gimmick off of that now where
she's bankrupt, like how happyCorbin and sad Corbin.
I'll be sad if they don't.

Speaker 2 (01:51:46):
It's like I'll be sad if they don't, but I also don't
think that she'll be able topull it off because she's Well
Poodoo.
You said it, I said it for you.
I mean, yeah, there's no, it iswhat it is.

(01:52:08):
But now, skipping overCollision a little bit cause
collision.
Collision in comparison to thatlit AEW where they ended with
anarchy, impromptu anarchyreigns, brawl at the end of the
fucking show, like collisionfelt like the Sunday night heat
before the pay per view.
I will give Mercedes her propsbecause the promos that they had

(01:52:37):
, freaking with top guys and thefact that Danny Garcia is about
to team up with what's his nameto have that match and stuff
like that versus FTR.

Speaker 1 (01:52:52):
You can't say that man's name without doing the
dance, bro.
You can't.

Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
If I wasn't hungry right now I probably would, and
it's also hot in my room, so I'mgoing to let you enjoy it.
But all the probos that were oncollision were on point and
were really good, likesurprisingly good, as like like

(01:53:21):
it was one of those things.
Like the promos on collisionwere so good that I'm like the
wrestling was just like.
I mean it was.
The wrestling was nice but likeonce again, it just felt like
it was the Sunday Night Heatbefore the pay-per-view.
These felt like these were thepre-matches going into what's
going to be this crazy litpay-per-view that I definitely
am going to be watching at somepoint tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:53:44):
I agree, I'm going to watch Jurassic World and then
I'm watching wrestling.
That is now the move,apparently.
Jurassic World, then I'mwatching wrestling that is now
the move, apparently.
Jurassic.
Like the the series, maddiewants to introduce me to
Jurassic World.
So I was like, alright, cool,we'll, you know, want to watch.
I really wanted to.
I just want to have a chill day.

(01:54:05):
I'm just going to do the thingsI haven't done Play video games
or whatever, watch wrestling.
And then I'm like gonna do thethings I haven't done play video
games or whatever, watchwrestling.
And then I'm like, oh shit, there is a wrestling
pay-per-view tonight, bringingit up now.
So I was like okay, cool, there's two.
I'm not thinking NXT right now, anyway.
So so there is a pay-per-viewtonight and, like I was saying,

(01:54:28):
because you again this is amatch with two characters, I
mean mean, again I like TrickWilliams, he's cool.
You know I don't give a fuckabout Joe Carrey.
You know I don't give a fuckabout him.

Speaker 2 (01:54:39):
Which is unfortunate for you, because he's what's
happening right now.

Speaker 1 (01:54:43):
I know he is and I just know I just can't get with
it Anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
That's okay, because not everybody liked john cena
when he was hot too, so cool Iwould never get it tatted, but I
will keep it up anyway um thefact that you had to make that
note is very like that.

Speaker 1 (01:55:05):
I feel like some people get some people, get
certain things like that tattedon.
That's besides the point anyway.
So so to get back to it, I'mgoing to watch Jurassic World,
and then I'm going to spend therest of my night watching AEW,
because that's just what I'mgoing to do Anyway.
So with the wonderful world ofwrestling as well, we did also
get a return on SmackDown, whichwas the Wyatt 6.

Speaker 2 (01:55:29):
Ah, yes, because I did fail to see and pay full
attention to SmackDown.
But number one, the last matchof SmackDown absolutely lit
Probably the littest thing thathappened in WWE wrestling this
week and then for it to end withthe Wyatt6, even more fuego.

(01:55:53):
I was like like cause, I waslike watching it, but because I
was completely distracted, Isnapped to attention when that
shit started popping off.

Speaker 1 (01:56:02):
I'm like ah, and they did that because it was Bray's
birthday, which also you know.
Happy belated birthday, bray.
Obviously, you're not with usfor us to celebrate, but if you
didn't notice it at the end whenthey had the birthday cake in
the ring, it was to Dallas forBray.
He even said for you.

(01:56:23):
Bray.

Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
I did question the cake.
I was like wait, why the fuckis there a cake?

Speaker 1 (01:56:29):
Of course at that time huh, I say.
Whenever you play it back youcan literally hear uh, uncle
howdy say for you bray, and heblows the candle okay, okay, got
it.

Speaker 2 (01:56:39):
Yeah, because I am going to watch that smackdown
over because there were somethings that I feel that I
definitely missed, that I wantedto take a look in because I
know there are some interactionswith Alexa Bliss and my queen,
um and uh yo, yo, yo yo.

Speaker 1 (01:56:54):
Tiffy.
Tiffy called her the fuck out.
He was like yo, how are youactually in the money in the
bank category?
Because you was like before man, that's a cheat sheet getting
up there.
Why the fuck are you competingfor it?
And you see, you literally seeCharlotte's like okay, you got
me there.
Yeah, you, yeah, you got it.
And you literally seeCharlotte's like okay, you got
me there, yeah, you got me, youliterally, you literally, see it

(01:57:15):
called her the fuck out how

Speaker 2 (01:57:18):
like how, a couple weeks ago, when New Day was no,
like right after thepay-per-view and Michael Cole
and Pat McAfee was like yeah, kind of like how you guys
cheated in your match to keepyour titles and thenee was like,
yeah, kind of like how you guyscheated in your match to keep
your titles.
And then they were like whoa, whoa, whoa.
How dare you?
Because didn't you just try tocheat, to try and beat Gunther?
That's besides the point.

(01:57:45):
That definitely was cheating.
Y'all, you went out there andyou held his foot.
That's exactly what we did.
But you're calling thatcheating, but not what you
called.
Okay, double standards, alright, cool, fam.
They got their ass on that one.
They had to be like let's justget back to the match.

(01:58:08):
I was like mm-hmm.
Yeah, shut the fuck up.
Shut the fuck up.
What are you talking about?
People returning Boy.
My boy is back.
Saturday night main eventBrunson Reed, my guy, brunson

(01:58:30):
Reed, my guy, brunson reed.
Boom, fucking, tsunami.
Tsunami was clean, crystal, crystal clear water.
Florida, clean buddy, which, asI'm talking about.
As far as how the water looks,I don't, I can't say whether the
water I know what you mean.

(01:58:53):
Like, oh my Listen, I am.
So I was confused because I'mlike, wait a second, brunson
Reed literally put you on theshelf and I like how, like you
know, bron Breaker, bronathan, standing there, like all right
boy, what you gonna do?
We jumping, we jumping.
All of a sudden, seth Rockcomes around, stand down, big

(01:59:16):
dog, nothing but love.
I'm like mmm and I'm like, ooh, this is looking like Evolution
more and more now.

Speaker 1 (01:59:25):
Seth is Triple H, bron is Randy Orton and Bronson
Reed is totally Batista.
He's totally our Batista.

Speaker 2 (01:59:35):
He's Batista.
It is funny because it's like, because you're like me, I'm
seeing an evolution thingEverybody else is seeing, which
I feel you probably morefamiliar with it.
I guess Paul Heyman had thisdangerous alliance thing at some
point in life.

Speaker 1 (01:59:56):
In ECW he did.
He did have something of thatwhich I mean, it is resemblance
of it, but the memes have always.
It was SHIELD.
First Because they took thephotos of Seth and just replaced
Paul Heyman with roman.
Yeah, that dumb shit.
But then now I was like nah, because seth is a big.

(02:00:18):
He's literally, he's crossfittriple h.
Okay, he's sinister with whathe does, he is somewhat a
cerebral assassin, but hedoesn't have the Triple H build
and he doesn't have the abilityto do what Triple H did, because
it's a different era.
He is the equivalent of.

Speaker 2 (02:00:44):
I dare say he performs better than Triple.
H, he does absolutely Okay, sothat's not as hard of a take as
it may sound no no, no, no, nono no I mean I said seth, that's
what I say he's crossfit tripleh.

Speaker 1 (02:00:56):
Triple h was big, so he couldn't do some of the
things that seth does.
But seth is a balanced player.
He could, he could turn.
He could turn up to one of theother notches he can't get up.
Triple h is all brawn, you know, but he, he is smart, but he
doesn't have the athleticability to do some of the other
notches he can't get up.
Triple H is all brawn, you know, but he is smart, but he
doesn't have the athleticability to do some of the things
that Seth would do.
But Seth, as a as if you werelooking at the roster and you

(02:01:20):
were like I want to pinpointcertain people to be that like
how we said Dolph Ziggler withShawn Michaels, remember how we
used to say that Seth is TripleH gotcha and I don't know.
I think Shawn Michaels Rememberhow we used to say that Seth is
Triple H Gotcha and I don'tknow, I think.
I think Batista is Latin ofsome sort, correct?

Speaker 2 (02:01:41):
Yeah, he's Spanish.

Speaker 1 (02:01:45):
So I find it interesting that even with now I
know Bronson, he's not Spanish.

Speaker 2 (02:01:55):
No, he's actually he's.
He is Australian and he's gotPolynesian in him but he kind of
looks like that.

Speaker 1 (02:02:02):
You remember how, when, when Batista came in, he
kind of kind of looked like he'slike a stockier version of what
Batista looked like when hefirst came in.

Speaker 2 (02:02:13):
I mean, I mean I'm picking up what you're stepping
in, as far as it kind of fits.

Speaker 1 (02:02:17):
The only thing that didn't fit at first was because
technically Braun Breaker reallyis.
He has the Batista look, but hehas the Randy Orton youth, like
he's the youngest out of thegroup.

Speaker 2 (02:02:32):
Yeah.
So it's like like physically heis definitely he's like a.
He's actually a weirdcombination of Batista and Randy
Orton.
He's got Batista strength withRandy Orton agility.
Randy Orton chipper, thechipness of agility, yeah

(02:02:54):
agility, yeah, and the technicalprowess to a certain degree,
because Braun can get technicalwhen he needs to.
He doesn't have to because he'sgot all of that brawn.
Good old Braunathan Breaker.
But yeah, no, that was such apop for me.
I'm so glad that he's finallybrawn.
So, good old brawnathan breaker.
But yeah, no, that was such apop for me.
I'm so glad that he's finallyback, cause I had this

(02:03:17):
realization, like man, I'm kindalacking like boys right now on
in WWE.
You know what I'm saying?
Like no, go ahead, get it out.
Go ahead, get it out, go ahead, say it, get your paws out, get
your paws, get your paws in.
Because you can't help yourself, god damn it.

(02:03:39):
Because you know niggas can'tdrink or, you know, eat glizzies
these days, without someonetrying to pause the situation.
You know everything is beingmade to be some kind of gay and
homosexual undertone.
You know what I'm saying.
Me blinking twice is like, damn, bro, you fruity.

(02:04:02):
Like what's going on, buddy?
Why are you fluttering youreyes at me?
Pause, pause, pause, go ahead, get it out of your system so I
can continue.

Speaker 1 (02:04:11):
No, I'm good, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (02:04:13):
No, no, no say pause, pause, me damn it pause pause
me for that, even if I did it,it's not.

Speaker 1 (02:04:24):
It wouldn't be genuine.
Now, it's not genuine.

Speaker 2 (02:04:27):
Oh, it ain't genuine now it ain't genuine, that's
forced, that's forced.
Oh, it's forced, okay, alright, but you ain't gonna pause the
force, huh?
You know what I'm saying?
Oh my god, no man should beforced to nothing unless it's on
another woman or towardsanother woman right Now you
borderline in there.

Speaker 1 (02:04:48):
Oh, I'm borderlining.

Speaker 2 (02:04:49):
Oh, I'm borderline in there.
Oh, maybe I should pause youfor borderline in there.

Speaker 1 (02:04:55):
So you don't know which side you're going to come
out.
You're not going to stop mefrom doing it, it's just like no
, it's fine, I don't have to.

Speaker 2 (02:05:03):
I'm not going to, I'm just going to blow past it,
because at this point that'swhat I did.
I'm just trying to help you getit out.

Speaker 1 (02:05:12):
Pause there, you go that better, you feel good no,
no, no, it does not, it does not, it does not oh sure, okay,
alright, moving forward, anyway, god damn, pause culture jeez.
So so, in a nutshell, give meyour thoughts on Saturday

(02:05:32):
Night's Main Event.
Anyway, goddamn pause culture, jesus Love it.
So, in a nutshell, give me yourthoughts on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (02:05:37):
Night's Main Event as we close out the episode.
I mean, the only other bit thatI will comment about Saturday
Night's Main Event is man.
Why can't we just let Jey Usohave a goddamn match?
Literally since he's beatenGunther, he has not actually had
a successful full-on matchwithout some BS happening.

(02:06:02):
Because, whoever he goesagainst, he shouldn't be beating
them clean Yikes, him cleanyikes.
That is absolutely terrible andabsolutely the worst for his
title run in character becausehe needs to be.
He should have been able to, heshould have been able to beat
fucking, but but no, that was aninterference.

(02:06:25):
And then there was anothermatch that he just had, and once
again there was anotherinterference.
And then he has to fight withlogy paul, and what happened?
Oh, but literally every singlematch that he has had up until
this point has been aninterference of some sort, or
the match ends up being a calledoff because of disqualification

(02:06:47):
.
Now, now, granted, he did winthis match because of the
interference.

Speaker 1 (02:06:53):
Yeah, which is no clean pins?

Speaker 2 (02:06:58):
Can we stop disrespecting this man and can
we let him be the champion thatwe're really wishing and wanting
him to be to some degree, likeat least Kofi got some respect
in this particular manner.
He actually cleanly won somegoddamn matches.
He beat a couple of people.

(02:07:20):
Right now, jay uso has notsuccessfully defended his title
in my I mean on paper he'ssuccessfully defended it so
here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (02:07:33):
It could be a couple of things.
Some people may not want totake the pin clean.
They might be like, look, I'lltake the l, but it can't be
clean for my character.
You know, we're not we.

Speaker 2 (02:07:43):
I don't think we live in that era of wrestling
anymore, especially in thisupper echelon.
There's no more.
That's not going to work for me, brother.
That don't happen backstage.
That does not happen anymore.
Motherfuckers in easily not inWWE Can't be.
People get paid way too muchmoney to be on something that's

(02:08:06):
not going to work for me brother.
I feel like if anybody did do it, it would be Logan Paul, though
Logan Paul though Logan Paulprobably makes more money than
most of the WWE people because, unlike the people in WWE, logan
Paul still has all his socialmedias.
He posts his videos and stufflike that.

(02:08:28):
Everyone else in WWE don't getthat kind of freedom or or can
do any of that, and he'sgenerating plenty of revenue in
that avenue to pay for whateverhe wants, and so I don't think
logan paul has any stock or,even more so, needs to listen.

(02:08:48):
Logan Paul has his ownhydration station sitting
outside the ring.
Okay, logan Paul has had hislogo in the middle of the ring
displayed for the universe toconstantly see at all times.
Alright, ain't, no wrestler hasany of that?

(02:09:10):
See at all times.
Alright, ain't, no wrestler hasany of that?
Ain't, no wrestler has any ofthat.
If there were to be anyone towant to say that's not gonna
work for me, brother, it wouldbe the other wrestlers, but
definitely not Logan Paul.
Like, everything works for himat this point because for him,

(02:09:35):
pub, any publicity is goodpublicity for him.
People are going to hate him, just to hate him, and then
there's people who just who aregoing to love him, are always
going to be his fans and he'she's good, I'm not like a fan of
logan paul but like I don'tthink there, I don't think
there's a whole his yeah, hiswrestling is great.

Speaker 1 (02:09:56):
Yeah, I had to.

Speaker 2 (02:09:57):
I don't think there is a uh, I don't think there's a
whole uh, especially in wwe.
Now some could argue adifferent for aew, but also aew
still kind of runs like an indiepromotion and so, like I've,
I've been going to a lot ofindie promotions recently and I

(02:10:17):
have seen firsthand, I have seenthe.
That's not gonna work for me,brother I've, I've seen it
plenty of times.
It's pretty interesting to see,but it's like I don't think
it's happening in this upperechelon as far as the wrestlers
go.
Now, when it comes to uppermanagement, when it comes to

(02:10:38):
upper management, that might bea different story.

Speaker 1 (02:10:44):
Talk to him, dwayne Johnson but outside of that, I
mean when it comes to SaturdayNight's main event, did you feel
like it was a good show and howit closed off in the
interesting week of wrestling?

Speaker 2 (02:10:57):
before we get into these pay-per-views for tonight,
um, I mean, I think it was okay, I don't think it.
Uh, saturday night main event tome outside of Brunson Reed
coming back, that to me, outsideof Brunson Reed coming back,
that was to me, the biggest popof the show the night.
For you, that's the only thingthat's keeping me going forward

(02:11:23):
with WWE in regards to what hasbeen displayed in front of me.
Alright, so it's like if I wasto add up all the wrestling that
I saw between the two, if itwasn't for the fact that I'm
just cheap and I don't feel liketrying to watch, trying to pay

(02:11:46):
for AEW at this moment, I'd begoing and watching AEW at this
moment.
I'd be going and watching AEWand watching Battlegrounds later
, but I'm watching NXT first andI'll come back to Battlegrounds
.
Hell, I might watchBattlegrounds while I'm at work
tomorrow, but I don't want to doit that disservice, because I

(02:12:10):
know there's going to be some dopen this league great wrestling
on a W, but I mean, anytime Iget to hear Jason by Ventura do
his thing, I'm happy when itcomes to, I will agree, I will
agree.

Speaker 1 (02:12:26):
And I want to end it off with saying this Let me talk
to you.
The Maziku says what you goingto do, brother, when the next
episode goes wild with thedifferent catchphrases that you
will hear from wrestlers.
Oh yeah, dig it.
And when you think about whatcatchphrases kind of always come

(02:12:52):
to you, every wrestler has thatparticular catchphrase.
That's really great, right,it's the one thing that makes
the pop, is one thing that makesthem stand out, and there are
certain catchphrases that arestupid, funny, good, whatever.
But I always got to ask thequestion can you dig it, brother
?
Can you dig it?

Speaker 2 (02:13:13):
can you dig it?
I'm not gonna lie, you werelike all over the place for a
moment, but like I like how youbrought it back in.
I'm like where is this going?
What's happening now?

Speaker 1 (02:13:29):
The next episode is going to be all about the best
catchphrases in wrestling.
Every wrestler has a punchline,a catchphrase or something of
that nature, and I want to talkabout what are some of our
favorite ones, and that is goingto be the vocal point of next
episode, because we all got someof our favorites.
I mean, shoot, I just saidJolie Styles.
Oh my God, that's technicallystill a catchphrase.

(02:13:52):
Let's talk about it.
So, and that that's one, two, let's talk about it.
Or what do you want to talkabout?

Speaker 2 (02:13:59):
like everybody has, I can easily say the two phrases.
So I was the one wrestlingphrase that I say I have said
constantly to this day it'sactually how I end my phone
conversations Is Now.

(02:14:22):
Granted, it's not originally awrestling phrase, but I started
saying it because of Sting, andthat was when, in TNA, sting was
going through his Joker phaseand you know, he was getting
done saying something blah, blah, blah, blah, and then, right
before his music starts playingTa-ta, and then he would dip and

(02:14:46):
so, oh, what did it not comethrough?
Oh, you're doing Ew, ew, that'sa fave, stop it, that's
disgusting.

Speaker 1 (02:14:55):
No, that's not.
That's a catchphrase.
What?
Listen one of the fewcatchphrases.

Speaker 2 (02:15:08):
One of the few catchphrases where it's like
damn, the universe would havebeen so much better without it
no, that shit was funny whenaustin did it, because you don't
remember the?
Time when he got on nature boy.

Speaker 1 (02:15:17):
He was like let's say why do you like nature what?
Do you like boys, what?
No, actually don't answer that.
Do you like nature what?

Speaker 2 (02:15:28):
the wet chant is the worst.

Speaker 1 (02:15:30):
It is the Okay.
It's the worst in certainsituations, right, okay, nope,
it's just so you're telling meanytime Austin did it.
It was not cool.

Speaker 2 (02:15:40):
The first two, yes.
The rest All right.
Let's get it out please.
Anyway, like I won't fret andsay that there were certain
parts where it's like, okay, yeah, that was fun, but then
when it continues, it's all.
It's like, sure, it's fun whenAustin's there doing it, but

(02:16:01):
then when Austin hasn't beenhere forever and we're still
doing it, that's when it becomespain.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:16:07):
Okay, that's valid, that's valid.
But, guys, if you've tuned inthis long, we definitely
appreciate you, as always, again, you can catch us on all
streaming platforms, especiallyspotify, apple music, and always
you see the video live here onyoutube.
Um, but please, if you, amatter of fact, going back to
the topic of the conversationtoday, your top commentators of

(02:16:32):

different areas, whether it'sLucha, tna, ecw, wwe, new Japan,
ring of Honor, whoever was yourcommentators could you splash
two of them together, and whatkind of magic would you create?
We would love to see that inthe comment section as well, but

(02:16:52):

There you go, dream commentatorteam, and we would love to see
what those are in the commentsso we can have the conversation
and keep that going.
So until next time, it's theMasako.

Speaker 2 (02:17:07):
It's your boy.
Swag Switch in the building.

Speaker 1 (02:17:10):
And remember, while the ring is sacred, the podcast
is nothing but destruction, andthat's the bottom line, because
the Masako said so.
