Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome once again to my podcast blog Delight.
My second episode integrated into the blog titled leaders Arising.
I am Lena, the blogger and podcaster behind a podcast,
and today I'm going to be sharing my insights and
wisdom on how I became a leader and how you
too can become a leader too. In this article, I
(00:23):
share on what true leaders look like and how can
we as leaders step into the position of leadership no
matter where we are or who we are. If you
are a leader of any kind, this word is for you.
Anyone in a position of authority, leading or serving a
particular group, organization, or tribe is a leader. A leader
(00:50):
is someone who leads and caters to the individual or
common needs of his group. He or she is not
known by a certain title, position, or assigned office. A
leader is recognized by example, character, trade, and work ethic.
Jesus was the greatest example of a leader. This is
(01:12):
what he says. The greatest among you is a servant,
one who serves. Matthew twenty twenty six says, you know
the rulers of the gentiles lorded over them, and their
high official exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead,
whoever wants to become great among you must be a servant,
(01:35):
and whoever wants to be first must be a slave,
just as a son of man did not come to
be served, but to serve and to give his life
as a ransom for many. I haven't always been a leader.
I did not have some authority in my life that
I could follow after or exemplify after. So I settled
(01:59):
for overs figuratively, speaking of course, I picked up and
ate whatever I could find, and settled for what I
thought was best for me at the moment. There were
people in my life who were good leaders, and then
there were people who simply chase after pride, fame, money, compromise,
(02:21):
and tolerated. I liked judgment, I liked discernment. I liked
sound voices and reason in my life. As a result,
I let anyone leave me, I let anyone speak over me,
I let anyone critique, correct and judge me. I ate
(02:42):
from garbage plates and drank from toxic waters. Figuratively, speaking
of course, until God stepped in. God's kingdom does not
operate through common sense or human wisdom or worldly standards.
In fact, God waigh and thoughts are far beyond but
we humans can create or imagine. The Bible, says Psalm
(03:07):
one O three, verse twelve. As far as east from
the west, so are his thoughts and his ways. God's
will is to give us leaders that will lead us
to Christ and to be like Him. I am a
mom leading two young ladies who are growing quite rapidly
(03:27):
into young ladies today. I have been entrusted by God
to take care of my girls, to nurture them, feed them,
and to lead them. It's not always easy, but I
do my best to be the greatest example that I
can be to raise godly young women productive in society,
leading as an example and shining a light into the
(03:49):
world around them. I am also a Sunday school teacher.
It is my greatest honor to lead and teach the
next generation of risers, leaders, authors, doctors, and lawyers. I
instill values and teach them to sharpen their sword. Yes
they are little, but they need a guidance. They need
(04:11):
Godly influences in their life to develop into godly and
integral human beings. I am a mentor and a spiritual
leader to so many individuals all around the globe. God
has entrusted me with a mission, and I am responsible
to God in how I lead them. I am an intercessor.
(04:34):
That simply means I pray for others. I pray for
these leaders. God is answering our prayers. Leaders such as
these a rising into high position. They are stepping up,
They're coming out. They have been tested and tried by fire.
They're anointed and appointed. They are full of fire. They
(04:55):
are ready to defend and protect their tribe. These leaders
will guide and direct people with patience, knowledge and understanding,
and will not be like the hired help who run
after money, fame, fortune, likes, compromise, tolerance that the minute
that the wolves show up, these leaders will step into
(05:18):
action and get things done. They don't bark orders, but
serve and love to lead the way. When the need
arises in the group, leaders are there to pick right
up and come to the rescue. They do not criticize others.
They do not judge others. They are the bigger person.
They do not wait for the other person in the
party to apologize. They step in and respond first. They
(05:42):
are not waiting on anyone to assign them. They step
up and do their part first. What type of leader
are you are you God, fearing and wisdom filled leader.
Take a look around you. Who do you follow? Are
they God fearing wisdom field leaders.
