Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, and welcome back to my podcast blog Delight, our
blog integrated platform podcast featuring articles on various subjects and topics,
from faith and spirituality, to home, family, and everything in between.
This is our fifth episode and the journey has been
interesting so far. I've always wanted to create a space
(00:24):
where I can integrate both platforms into one on the
go on your commute. I made it happen. You can
now listen to my articles on the go on your
commute right from my website. I am Laying a freelance
blogger and founder at firestarterignite dot com, a devotional site
dedicated to nurturing the soul and spirit. Today, I'm going
(00:48):
to be sharing a personal blog titled No Excuses. It's
a section taken out of my upcoming book, Purposefully Driven,
where I share how excuses held me down and del
my progress of writing my book and story. Don't allow
whispers and fears to knock you out from where God
(01:08):
is taking you. If you are struggling with starting a business,
writing a book, or even creating a podcast similar to mine,
this blog is for you. The hardest part of chasing
(01:32):
any dream isn't dreaming, it's starting or moving forward in action.
It's doing, not just dreaming. Life happens. We get sick,
car breaks down, children are not feeling well. We start
a new job or a new project, and that dream
of starting a business or writing a book is left
(01:53):
on a back burner, Not because the vision isn't worth pursuing,
not because fear, doubt and other excuse uses, though those
are some valid excuses creep in. The minute we say
yes to the vision, things go out of control and
we are tested and tried. How much do we want it?
(02:14):
The battle gets tough. We convince ourselves that we'll continue
when the timing is right, when we have more money
set aside, more confidence, more certainty. But the truth is,
the perfect moment never comes. The key is to start,
even if you have to do it scared. In my
(02:36):
upcoming book, Purposefully Driven, I share how excuses held me
down and delayed the progress of writing my book and
telling my story. Here's a paragraph that I thought was
so powerful that I wanted to share it. Staring at
the blank pages filled with excuses, I had no idea
(02:56):
where to start, so much to say, so much to share,
But where would I even begin? Do I tell my
life story, which part the happy moments, the struggles, the pain,
doubt begin to creep in. They write, they tell stories.
They are the qualified ones. English isn't even my first language,
(03:18):
my past. No one needs to know that what's done
is done. I cannot undo it without realizing it. I
had let my own thoughts disqualify me before I even tried,
so discouraged, I put it to the side again. But
(03:40):
you see, God did not need my power nor my
strength to finish what he started in me. He ignited
the desire in me to write and to tell my story.
The fire inside of me kept me going. He would
do the rest if I was willing. He would fill
in the details when the right time comes. Let your
excuses be the fuel that motivates you to action. Don't
(04:04):
allow whispers and fears to knock you out from where
God is taking you. These are facts, not truth. God
can do the impossible. He can feel what you lack.
He can churn things around in a heartbeat. He can
make the impossible possible. Matthew nineteen twenty six says, with men,
(04:29):
this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.
Now the reading and listening to this article, it's your churn.
What excuses, valid or not, are holding you back today,
Acknowledge them and move forward. Hey, thanks again for being
(04:49):
here and for your support. I hope you enjoyed my
article and will be back again soon. Subscribe to latest

They blast and be encouraged until next time. Bye bye
