Welcome to the premiere episode of Bored Now: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer Podcast hosted by me, The Final Gurl.
You asked for it (a lot), and after enough late-night comment scrolling and Hellmouth-level peer pressure, here we are. This podcast was born because of you... the Scooby Squad who kept saying, “Final Gurl, when are you starting a Buffy podcast?” For the longest time, I honestly didn’t think there needed to be another one. There are already so many incredible creators in this space doing such thoughtful, funny, and smart breakdowns of the show we all love. But lately, I realized something... maybe there’s room for one more voice. One that’s a little chaotic, a little emotional, and a little obsessed with dissecting why Buffy still hits so hard after all these years.
So, Bored Now was born... part passion project, part love letter to this series, and part excuse to talk to some of my favorite creators who live and breathe the Buffyverse too.
In this first episode, we’re going all the way back to the beginning... the series premiere. I’m sharing every thought, tangent, and opinion that’s been haunting me since my rewatch... the good, the bad, and the deeply random.
