Javier (00:00):
Welcome to Built For
Love, a podcast about dating
with intention, loving withpurpose, and navigating
relationships with death.
I'm your host, Javier Ortega, alife and love architect, and
this isn't just a podcast.
This is my journey.
This is our journey.
You see, built for Love isn'tjust a concept.
(00:21):
It's me.
It's my life.
Love has been one of the mostsignificant, if not the most
significant parts of my journey.
Like many, I love, love, it'swhat we seek, what we long for.
What we are inherently made of,and something I've discovered is
(00:43):
that I wasn't always able toarticulate what I needed in love
because I didn't fullyunderstand where I was.
I was aware and I knew the typeof love that I desired and that
I, the, the type of love that Ifelt I deserved.
But if I didn't know where I wasat within myself, how could I
possibly navigate my way there?
(01:04):
I'll put it this way, it's likeputting in a destination into
maps.
I can know where I wanna go, butif I don't know my starting
point or if the system doesn'trecognize my current location,
there's no way it can get me.
Directions to my destination.
It's a good one, right?
(01:25):
So for me, the work that I'vebeen doing is diving deep into
understanding where I am now, sothat I can clearly articulate
what it is that I truly need anddesire and love.
Everyone has their own formula, their own personal makeup, and
the more that we can understandourselves.
(01:45):
The more we can show up inrelationships with clarity and
intention.
Love isn't just about findingsomeone.
It's about knowing yourself wellenough to know how you need to
be loved, how you show love, andhow to communicate that with
depth and authenticity.
(02:06):
For me, after departing an 11year relationship a few months
later, I eventually entered adeeply transformative
connection.
I now recognize was my twinflame experience For me, that
love was so healing and itopened me up in so many ways,
but it also surfaced and exposedthe parts of me.
I hadn't fully faced and healedthe parts that were me getting
(02:30):
in my own way.
I had asked the universe or Godfor something profound, and when
it arrived, I realized I wasn'tquite ready for it.
So when that relationship ended,I stood still and I turned
inward.
I spent, I spent months withmyself in celibacy, meaning I, I
(02:52):
didn't seek partnership, dating,or sex, not outta fear, but
because I had no appetite foranything outside of my own
healing.
And for the first time.
I had to deeply face the ways inwhich I had been loving from a
place of seeking validation andseeking to be seen and heard.
(03:14):
I had to sit with the truth thatI had spent much of my life
pouring into others the way Iwish I had been poured into.
But love when it's not rooted inauthenticity, can become
performance, and I no longerwanna perform love.
I wanna live it.
(03:35):
That's the thing about love.
It's not something we chase.
It's something that we are, thispodcast isn't just about dating
with intention.
It's about showing up and lovingwith intention.
It's about relationships in alltheir complexity, the beauty,
the challenges, and the growththat comes with them.
(03:59):
So we'll be diving into it all.
Being single, dating, long-termrelationships, marriages,
separations, breakups, and allthat healing that follows.
We're gonna talk about datingafter divorce, being a single
parent, conversations aboutLGBTQ plus dating, heterosexual
dating, and the modern or, andthe realities of modern love
(04:24):
that aren't black and white.
Love isn't one size fits all.
Relationships aren't linear, andthis space is about embracing
that truth.
Love isn't just, isn't justphysical or emotional, it's also
spiritual.
So I'm excited.
I'll be bringing in someastrologers, healers, guides,
(04:45):
and spiritual experts to exploredeeper connections.
How do the stars align in love?
How does our energetic blueprintshape how we connect?
Um, also, before we go anyfurther, I do want to take a
moment to acknowledge somethingvery important.
Keep in mind this podcast is alabor of love and a journey of
(05:09):
learning.
It's my first podcast and as Inavigate this new medium, I'm
learning as I go.
The quality might not always beperfect, whether you're watching
it or hearing it listening orboth.
Um, but know that I poured myheart into every episode.
I didn't take any courses orclasses for this.
I probably should have, but Idid follow my intuition and
passion, so I have to get somepoints for that.
(05:31):
Um, I also wanna give a specialshout out to Ryley Scott, the
host of How Ya Healing for hisguidance and support in starting
up and creating this podcast.
And to my incredible bestfriend, Eddie Val Dinos, my
sounding board, my unofficialmanager, my writer die.
Thank you for always, alwaysshowing up for me over and over
and over and over and overagain, um, and for being the
(05:52):
second set of eyes and Ears forthis project and to everyone who
offered encouragement or helpedme.
Shape this behind the scenes.
I can't thank you enough.
I truly, truly can't.
I really hope this podcastexpands the way you love.
Whether you're married in arelationship, single dating, or
simply in a season ofself-discovery, love touches us
(06:15):
all and as a wise man once said,if this resonates with you,
please take it.
If it doesn't simply leave it,because I promise that one of
these episodes will reach out toyou at the time that it's
supposed to.
You know, for me as a life andlove architect, my work is about
(06:36):
deconstructing what no longerserves us so that we can build
something real.
That's what I had to do in myown life.
I dismantled old stories, survival habits and beliefs that
told me I had to earn loveinstead of simply being love.
Part of my personal story is Igrew up feeling unseen and that
(06:58):
shaped how I showed up trying tobe everything for everyone.
The fixer, the one who couldmake it all better.
Deep down, I was trying to givethe the love that I never
received, and many of us do thissome in different ways, some
more intensely than others, butthe root is often the same.
We want to love and be loved inreturn.
(07:22):
That's why this podcast exists.
Built for Love is aboutstripping back the layers,
having real conversations, anddoing the work to return to the
truth.
We were born built for love.
And life may try to make usforget that, but love is who we
are.
Like for me, I may be singleright now, but I've never felt
(07:44):
more full.
I am love and I am so loved, andI'm so grateful, and I know that
in divine order, the rightperson will show up.
Someone who expands my peace, connects with me on all levels,
protects my energy and loves meas deeply as I love me because I
can offer that.
(08:04):
That's why we're here, because Iwant that for you too.
So just a reminder of what's tocome.
Throughout this podcast, we'regonna talk about dating with
clarity, breaking patterns,learning self-awareness, and
having the kinds ofconversations that shift
everything.
I'll be joined by mentors, friends and experts, people
(08:27):
who've inspired me to see lovedifferently and more truthfully.
Because when we stop seekinglove as something outside of us
and start recognizing it assomething we already are, hmm.
I promise you everythingchanges.
(08:49):
So once again, I'm Javier.
I'm not only your lifearchitect.
I'm your life and lovearchitect.
Welcome to Built For Love.
Welcome to the Journey Back Hometo Love.
To self to truth.
Let's begin.
