Each episode will inspire and equip you to grow, work
in po post and make your fate work for you
in your career and in your business. This podcast is
for everyone, regardless of your beliefs. Along the way, we

(00:22):
would also draw and encouraging words from the Bible to
give the p insight. Let's get started. Hi everyone, and
welcome to episode four of the Career and Faith Podcast.
If you're looking for growthing your career of business, or
just need encouragement and guidance for the season you're in,

(00:44):
this podcast is for you. Today's episode is titled Overcoming
Offstacles and Problem Solving. As always, this episode is inspired
by the Only is Freedom, by real life experiences for
my work life and business life. I hope previous episodes
that bless you so far. If yes, kindly drop a review.
After listening for today's episode, one might ask why not

(01:07):
just call the episode problem solving? Or what's the difference
between an obstacle and a problem? Let's start with definitions
Obstacles are blockers, roadblocks that stop you from moving forward.
They are not always direct problems. Sometimes they are just
barriers to progress. For example, not being able to get promoted,

(01:28):
not receiving a salary increase, or struggling to grow your business.
Those can be classified as obstacles. Problems, on the other hands,
are issues that require an actual fix. They might contain obstacles,
but they are not necessarily the same thing. Removing an
obstacle could be part of problem solving, but it's not
the full picture. Before we jump into strategies, let's set

(01:50):
the foundation. The first step in overcoming anything is to
take it to God. Philippians four the six days. Do
not worry about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. That means leave
it all at his feet. Sometimes we let our problems

(02:11):
take over our minds so much that we forget we
do not have the solution to all things, but God does.
And if solutions are not limited to your personal life,
they cover your business, your career, your relationships, and every
area that matters to you. When a problem comes, our
first instinct is often panic. We start worrying about all

(02:32):
the outcomes before we even begin to think about the solution.
But the truth is panic never solves a problem. Panic
clouds your mind. It makes you focus on the wrong thing,
the what if, instead of how can I fix this?
And that often leads to delays of your breakthrough. So

(02:53):
when something happens, whether it's an error at work or
a drop in sales or a missed opportunity, pause and
breathe and pray. Ask God for calmness and wisdom. Wow,
solutions don't always come immediately. They really come when in
panic mode. Matthew eleven twenty says, come to me all

(03:13):
who are very important, and I will give you rest.
So instead of worry or panic, just slay it at
the feet of God and keep laying it there. Every
time the worry comes back, release it again to God.
You'll be amazed at how soon your peace starts to
settling because every time you're releasing it to God. As

(03:34):
Aya twenty sixty three says, it will keep him perfect peace.
Those who minds are step fast because they trust in Him.
So trust in God today. So what's the next step?
Haf to prayer. The next critical step is honesty. For
both problems solving or removing obstacles. Are you being honest
that there is an actual issue to face? If it's

(03:55):
an obstacle like promotion, have you asked yourself? Am I
doing the right things to reach the next level? The
simple act of honesty changes everything. It shows ownership, it
shows leadership, and it also shows self awareness. It positions
you to create a plan towards where you want to go.
At work, when something goes wrong, your natural instinct might

(04:18):
be to cover it up or delay communicating it. Maybe
you don't want your boss, client, or partner to be upset,
but either the problem or refusing to acknowledge it only
makes it bigger. For example, let's say called your road
broken system at work. Rather than secretly fixing it for
hours while everyone is unaware, you can message your team

(04:40):
after a few minutes of the buggy and say, hey, everyone,
I notice the bug in my last code change. I
am looking into it right now. If I can fix
it in the next ten to twenty minutes, I'll call
in for help. That simple act of honesty shows ownership,
shows accountability, and it shows readiness. If you wait too long,
you reak surprising everyone later and that causes more issues. Remember,

(05:03):
nobody is perfect, which means mistakes happen. What matters is
not avoiding mistakes, but owning them quickly and learning from them.
Honesty invites God's delight and people's trust. Sometimes fear or
pride makes us isolate ourselves, which is why when that
problem comes, go into a loan mode and try and

(05:25):
fix it yourself. You think if I tell them, they
would think I'm not capable, But that's not true. The
longer you eide it, the arder it becomes to fix.
Problems don't get solved by silence. They get solved by communication.
Ask yourself, what is the worst that the other person
who is the receiver of the issue could do to you?

(05:47):
Be humble enough to say I need help. Honesty build trust,
Pride builds distance. This also applies to your business. Is
there an issue with a product line you released it?
An issue or call when you were implementing a service
for your client. Allowing the client no early enough allows

(06:07):
you to plan a fix together. This also allows the
client prepare for what's to come and plan next steps.
You can also apply this to removing an obstacle where
your business is not growing. Maybe your business growth has
slowed down. You sold to multiple individuals, friends, family, You've

(06:28):
had referrals, but it's not expanding. Ask yourself what's left
to do to grow this business? Have I consulted experts?
Have I delegated some responsibility to other individuals who can
help me achieve them? Have I asked others how they
are succeeding? Growth doesn't happen in isolation. Sometimes we hold

(06:48):
back because we don't want to spend. But if you're
not investing in your business, you can't expect it to expand.
Even in scripture, sawing precedes ripping. You have to planed
seeds to reap results. Pray for divine directions, Lord, how
should I move forward with this business? Where should I invest?

(07:09):
And once you've prayed, start to take action. God is
involved in all the details. It cares about your career
and your business decisions too. Glesiuss for ninety ten says
two are better than one because they have a good
return for their label. If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up. Another lesson I've learned

(07:33):
is prevention is part of problem solving. Being proactive is
better than being reactive in your career. This means planning ahead,
envisioning what could go wrong in a project and preparing
for it. In tech or software development that I'm part of,
that means testing before you push changes. In business, it

(07:53):
means planning, budgeting, and checking your numbers before launching a campaign,
or before starting a new product line or any other
aspect of your business. Preparation won't remove every problem, but
it would help you avoid many that can be prevented.
There's a saying if you fail to plan, you plan
to fail. Perhaps twenty one to five also says good

(08:16):
planning and adwork leads to prosperity, but act shortcuts leads
to property look fourteen, verse twenty. It also reminds us
that suppose one of you wants to build a tower,
won't you first sit down and estimate the costs to
see if you have enough money to complete it? So
planning saves you a lot of ethics later, did you

(08:38):
know that you can actually simplify a lot of your
planning and research now with AI, which is artificial intelligence.
Many people CAI as a threat, but I see it
as a tool. You can use it responsibly. You can
tell AI create a social media post on my brand
with these colors and this team. You can access to
write captions, generate product images, or even review a document.

(09:02):
Some of these tools are free, but because of lack
of knowledge, sometimes we do not use them. Waszire for
six says, my people perish for lack of knowledge. Don't
let your business or carriers suffer because you are avoiding
new tools. Acts for wisdom, asks others on how you
can use them in ways that align with your values. Remember,

(09:24):
God gives people ideas to build things that makes our
lives easier, So don't you away the free tools. God
has inspired people to create for success just as a
sort of study. For thirty one says, and he has
filled in with the spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding,
with knowledge, and with all kinds of skills. So use

(09:45):
these tools to your advantage. Another aspect of this topic
today is for anyone feeling stocking their carreer. Maybe you've
been in the same room for years waiting for a
promotion or a pay increase. You've spoken to your manager
and the answers are always the same. I see that
as an obstacle, but it can also be a set
up for something greater. Ask God what's next for me?

(10:09):
Sometimes the problem isn't the company, it's that you've outgrown
the environment. Have you updated your resume? Have you started
looking for new opportunities? Because sometimes God is ready to
open the door, but he's waiting for you to knock,
for you to prepare before the opportunity shows up. So
write down your achievements today, your metrics, your impact, update

(10:32):
your resume and put it where it needs to be.
Remember the parable of the talent. Growth comes from using
what you have, not burying it. You do not have
to stay in the same place to grow. Pray about
it and ask God for guidance towards where it wants
you to go next. For business owners, sometimes the obstacle

(10:54):
is funding, and honestly, many people don't even know what's available.
There are so many grants and resources out there, but
you have to do your research. Have you even registered
your business to assess them? Have you asked those around
you that are doing well how did they get there?
Don't be afraid to learn from others. Humility attracts growth,

(11:15):
and for those who are doing well, please share what's
working for you as well. Matthew seven verse seven says
actions and it will be given onto you seek and
you will find knock and the door will be open
to you. The key is to act and keep accent.
Also ask for guidance from the older spirit. So, based
on what we've discussed so far, how do you approach

(11:36):
solving a problem or removing an obstacle? The first step
is to define it and pray. Don't panic, Name it
clearly and say Father, I laid this at your feet,
please help me. The next step is for you to
pause and breathe. Calm minds find faster solution. Calmness brings
clarity and the tod piece of this is do your part,

(11:59):
watch can with what you know and ask for guidance
along the way. Use resources around you. Use the oldly
spirit as well as a guide. Be honest and communicate,
Notify the right people, don't let anyone be caught of God,
and then ask for help. Collaboration speeds up solutions. You

(12:19):
are not meant to work alone. If Jesus worked with disciples,
it shows that people have been placed around you to
help you solve that problem or remove that obstacle. Pray
for the right people for the right solutions. Problems happen
if there were no challenges. The Bible wouldn't tell us
not to worry, But because God has equipped us, we

(12:41):
have to use our resources wisely. When problems come, use
them as opportunities to learn to depend on God and
to strengthen your discipline. So right now, I want you
to ask yourself, what am I panicking about? Right now?
What is the real obstacle behind it? Do I need
to tell? What's one small step I can take in

(13:04):
the next ten to fifteen minutes. Remember, problems don't define you,
They refine you, and God can use them to reveal
his wisdom and grace. So whether you're facing a technical
issue at work, a funding problem in your business, or
just feeling stock, remember this. The solution is already within

(13:24):
you because God placed it there. Don't panic, pray, don't ide, communicate,
and don't resist change, learn and grow from it. God
is always working out everything for your good, in your faith,
in your career, and in your business. As we wrap
up today, I want you to say this with me,
and I want you to repeat it every time you're

(13:46):
working through an obstacle or problem. Say God is always
working out everything for my good. I do not have
to worry, I do not have to fear because The
solution is within me and around me in others. God
has made me for a time like this to fulfill
a great purpose, to solve problems, to break barriers, to

(14:08):
remove obstacles, and to bring new ideas. And fearfully and
wonderfully made, I do not walk alone because God is
with me in every situation. I am loved by God,
and because of His love I do great exploits. Amen
until next time, breath, pray and take that next step,

(14:29):
and that brings us to the end of our topic today.
If during this episode you felt a yearning or a
poll to know more about God, I invite you to
ask Him into your life. God sent his son Jesus
so that we can have an example of our power
and authority in him. You can pray the spray with me.
If you're ready to accept Christ. Say lot, Jesus, I

(14:51):
believe that you are the son of God. I confess
that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe you died on the cross from myself scenes
and rose again, giving me victory of a sin and dead.
Today I accept you as my Lord and say, y'all
come into my heart, guide my life and help me
leave according to your will. Thank you for saving me

(15:13):
and giving me intern of life in Jesus name. Amen.
If you pray this prayer, please look for a Bible,
believe in church, and continue to learn more. God loves you.
Thank you for listening and if you like this episode,
please share with your friends, colleagues, family and everyone around you.
Also watch out for next episode. I'm looking forward to

(15:35):
sharing more with you. It's your girl, Abisola signing out.
