and this is the space where Carry and Faith meet.

and pour post and make your fate work for you
in your career and in your business. This podcast is
for everyone, regardless of your beliefs. Along the way, we

(00:22):
would also draw and encouraging words from the Bible to
give the p insight. Let's get started. Welcome to episode
five of the Carrier and Faith Podcast. If you're looking
for growth in your career or business, or just need
encouragement and guidiance for the season, your in this podcast

(00:43):
is for you. Today's episode is titled Interacting the Godly Way.
Let's begin. In this episode, I am going to start
with Matthew five, verse sixteen, which says let your light
so shine before others so they might see your good
works and glory fire your Father in heaven. I am
also going to use Philippians to verse fourteen to sixteen

(01:05):
to encourage us today, which says do everything without grumbling
or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure
children of God. Without fault, in a wrapped and crooked generation.
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky,
as you old firmly to the world of life. Let's
pause on that. It says, then you will shine among

(01:28):
them like stars in the sky. What does that tell you?
Just because you live in the world does not mean
you behave like the world or speak like the world.
Your behavior and your interactions are supposed to shine in
the world. People should be able to see the difference
between you and everyone else. Now, let's add first Curatias thirteen,

(01:50):
verse four to seven as the cherry on top of
the cake. Because love ties it all together. It says
love is patient, Love is kind. It does not dishonor others.
It is not self sicking, It is not easily angered.
It keeps no records of wrong. Love does not delight
in evil, but rejoices with the truth. This means love

(02:13):
is the foundation of godly interaction. It shapes how you speak,
how you respond, and how you show Christ in everything
you do. Your words should speak love and comfort, just
like the Bible and courages. If everyone is angry because
of client reviews, you do not need to get angry. Instead,
you taking feedback and still provide clarity while protecting your business,

(02:37):
especially when there is no wrong doing on your part.
You can protect your work with calmness and grace. That
is how you stand out. That is how you become
the difference. When others panic, you stay calm. When others
gossip or mistreat, you, stay kind and professional. You can
be the difference. When people talk about you or say

(02:58):
things about you. You do not worry about all that
is said because people will talk and away. Instead, you
always focus on the finish line. You focus on what
you have been called to do. And I know sometimes
people would take advantage of that, but it doesn't change
who you are. As long as you remain honest, receptive,
and excellent, your track record will always speak for you.

(03:23):
Even Jesus was falsely accused, Pilot said, this man has
no fault, but yet it was crucified. The ripple effect
of that sacrifice is the impact of Christianity today. So
when people try to pull you down, your integrity and
peace will speak for you. Let your light shine from
the beginning. Let it shine through your sincerity and the

(03:45):
way you walk. Now, let's talk about how to address
the bullies, because this is a very important part of
interacting the godly way. It is one thing to say
be calm, but what about when people actually mistreat you?
When your bully disrespected or taken advantage of, how do
you address it? The first thing is professionalism. You must

(04:08):
always be professional at all times. You might be in
an office that portrays closeness, but in reality it's full
of politics or eating agendas. Regardless of what your environment
looks like, always ensure you stay professional. And what does
professionalism mean. It means you're not casual or careless with
your interactions. You are intentional. You document things as you go.

(04:31):
A bully can be anyone. It can be a client,
a coworker, or even a leader who tries to take
advantage of your calmness or professionalism. Maybe you did a
project or deliver the service and they try to make
it seem like you didn't deliver. That's why professionalism is key.
You need reading proof of what you agree to so
that when someone says you didn't do what I asked,

(04:52):
you can say, yes, what we agreed and yes what
was delivered. Let's use examples. If you run a consulting business,
your scope work at the beginning of the contract should
be clear. Those are the things that serve as your checklist.
If you're in fashion, before you begin designing or sewing,
you should have the designed the client agree to, even

(05:12):
if you did not have it initially at the start,
you should send them a message or designed to confirm
their choice. Get that routine confirmation before you start. If
you're in catering, you should have a list of what
was agreed to, the mails, the portions, the delivery details,
because if you don't and a client leader says this
isn't what we discussed, you will have no record to

(05:33):
defend yourself in the office. This also applies if someone
says you didn't complete a project. What were the initial
project details the discoper spanned where expectations changed midway without
your agreement. Sometimes going above and beyond helps you grow,
but you have to be able to still document and
complete what you've been giving part time. This might not

(05:55):
always be possible for every tax, especially when you have
limited time order. You can always deliver the first part
and say after this, I'll take care of the next part,
so that it is clear what has been done and
what's next. Without this, you can fall into a trap
where you're doing extra work that was never documented and
then being judged on fairly when timelines or results shift.
If you're a manager, you have to be in charge

(06:17):
of your team's roadmap. If you're not, someone can shift
your focus media and you will end up reacting instead
of leading. Changes happen, but how you handle them is
what matters, and that's why you must have documentation, not
only for your personal goals, but your team's plans and
your deliverables. Avoiding and addressing bullies has a lot to

(06:38):
do with documentation. It's not about being defensive, it's about
being clear and protecting yourself. Sometimes writing takes time, and
that's understandable, but we have tools now that can help
simplify that. I recently started using Changibility to drop my
note so that I have them clear and organized during

(06:58):
meetings if they are online meeting, you can use meeting
summary features in some of the apps today to ensure
that it documents everything that was said in a meeting.
After each meeting, you should be sending recopyments. We talked
about this, we agreed on that, and these are the
next steps that Simple Act gives you protection and clarity
when a bully actually shows themselves, maybe through an awdful

(07:21):
message or accusation. This is where your professionalism really matters.
You should stay factual and calm, don't sound defensive or shaken,
just lay out the truth. You don't have to mirror
their tone, because if they are rude, you can stay respectful.
If they are emotional, you can stay grounded. Because what
happens when you react emotionally is that the story shifts. Suddenly,

(07:43):
it's no longer about what they did. It becomes about
how you responded. When you keep your composure, the truth
remains clear. Now let's talk about how these ties to
anger that baz Bo's moment where had come from bas
bos means that if you give give it to me,
I will give it right back. It's easy to fall

(08:04):
into that. When someone disrespects you, you feel like you
have to show them your norveay. But remember First Corinthians thirteen,
verse five says love is not easily angered. That means
you don't have to replicate their behavior. You don't have
to respond the same way they are active, respond in
a way that still reflects your life. When you respond calmly,

(08:27):
bullies lose their power. They realize they can't shake you.
They see that their words or hattitude don't move you,
and that frustrains them more than anything else. In all
these things, remember to keep praying acts the only spirit
for guidance, because sometimes you won't have the words or
the strategy immediately, but when you pray, it gives clarity, peace,

(08:49):
and wisdom on how to respond while maintaining your dignity.
James one verse five reminds us that if any of
you lacks wisdom, you should ask God. Aspect of these
is social interactions. Sometimes you may not believe in the
same things your co workers or teammates believe in, and
that's perfectly okay, but it doesn't mean you should completely

(09:10):
exclude yourself. Your team might want to go out for
social activities that includes going to a bar party, and
that doesn't align with your values. You may think, no,
I won't go, and yes, that's fine, But there is
another way to look at it. You can still be
a part of team events without compromising your beliefs. You
can suggest alternative places, maybe a restaurant or a family's

(09:32):
friendly spot, so that while they might be going to
all these other places at different times, you are still
able to interact with them through other gatherings. The point
is you are still there, showing presence and showing light.
When you completely exclude yourself, people stop seeing you, they
stop knowing who you are, and you miss the chance
to show them christ true your character. Exclusion doesn't help you,

(09:56):
it isolates you. Inclusion handled with we allows you to
influence team activities, buil trust, help you understand each other better,
and create elder boundaries. Sometimes you will notice a coworker
who looks discourage or who is struggling. If you never
join team events, you may never get the chance to
encourage them. You are not going there to blend in.

(10:17):
You're going there to shine. This applies to businesses too.
As a vendor or a business owner, you may be
invited to event that does in align with your values.
You can still attend and stand out with your own standard.
Can also create similar events as well, and work with
other vendors who might a language your values, and even
use your own events to invite other vendors who might

(10:41):
not even a language your values. The goal is to
engage in ways that honor your values and keep your peace.
People should be able to tell you are different, not
because you avoid them. But because of how you interact,
there is no one size fitle. But with guidance from God,
you can always figure out the best way to interact.
YbO says, you are the light of the world, a

(11:02):
city set on a ill that cannot be eaten, that
ties everything together. It reminds you that you have a
role in every space you walk into, even when things
around you are chaotic, even when the atmosphere is negative,
even when others caught corners, your presence should bring something different.
You can be calm, true, excellent, and shy. You don't

(11:24):
have to do what everyone else is doing to succeed.
You don't need to blend in to belong. You belong
because you carry the spirit of God within you. Now
let's close with first courageance thirteen, verse four. I am
only going to pick some aspects of this, but it
reminds us that love is patient, Love is kind. Love

(11:45):
does not envy, It does not boast. It is not proud,
It is not dishonoring to others. It is not self sicking.
It is not easily angered. It does not keep records
of wrong. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, and
always perseveres Love shapes your tone, your reaction, your empathy,
and your sincerity. Even when you are hurt and I've

(12:07):
already addressed it, Remember to always forgive because love keeps
no records of wrongs. Don't say I will never interact again,
or I will never help again. Still be helpful, Still
be kind, Still be loving. Love is no weakness, it
is strength. It gives your peace while others stay restless
unless you respond with wisdom instead of anger. It keeps

(12:29):
your heart clear so that God can continue to use
you in those environments. When you love, forgive and keep
shining even after you have been hurt, you disharm darkness.
You take away its power. So as you go about
your daily life, remember this. You don't have to follow
what everyone else is doing to shine. Let your words

(12:50):
carry grace, Let your behavior carry excellence. Stay grounded in love,
Let your presence bring peace because you are the light
of the world. City set upon a ill that cannot
be eaten. Craft your uniqueness and let your light shine.
And that brings us to the end of our topic today.

(13:11):
If during this episode you felt a yearning or a
pull to know more about God, I invite you to
ask him into your life. God sent his son Jesus
so that we can have an example of our power
and authority in him. And you can pray the spray
with me if you're ready to accept Christ. Say lot, Jesus,
I believe that you are the son of God. I

(13:32):
confess that I am a sinner and I ask for
your forgiveness. I believe you died on the cross from
my sins and rose again, giving me victory of a
sin and dead. Today, I accept you as my Lord
and savior. Or come into my heart, guide my life
and help me leave according to your will. Thank you
for saving me and giving me internal life in Jesus' name. Amen.

(13:56):
If you pray the spray, please look for a bible,
believe in church, and continue to learn more. God loves you.
Thank you for listening, and if you like this episode,
please share with your friends, calllleagues, family, and everyone around you. Also,
watch out for next episode. I'm looking forward to sharing
more with you. It's your girl, Ebisola signing out.
