(00:00):
Hi. I'm Jason and I'm Tedward.
We're the Cobb Fathers episode. 16.
Look at us 16 out of 17 weeks pretty good.
As as usual, we want to thank our sponsor.
Good days, classic cocktails. You can find us in Georgia, but
we are now starting to be working the Florida market nice
(00:20):
of Northern Florida and Central Florida.
So we'll have some retailers soon.
Visit our store locator on www.drinkgooddays.com or our
handle on Instagram that drink good days.
All right, so we're going to go over NFL Braves.
What is it? Sandwiches.
I want to talk about breakfast sandwiches.
We had a big in depth conversation about that at work
(00:42):
today, so we'll get to that. OK.
And then anything else that kindof like I like doing the shows
because we're we seem to be starting a new show every week
now. I don't know if you guys are
Mitch, you can partake or I think you start.
A new one, a new old one. But yeah, sure.
And our special guest is, what do you want to be called, Mitch?
Mitch is fine, yeah. It's just fine.
(01:03):
We're going fine our NFL experts.
We went Farmer Mitch. My wife says Farmer Mitch.
So all right as I pour, so we have a new beverage line for
good days. I can't show on on live physics
streaming and we're going to taste these as we're talking,
but we're going to just jump in the NFL draft and Giants,
(01:25):
Steelers, Falcons. Talk about our teams first.
Right. And then there's other things.
I think there's some teams that did pretty well outside of I
believe our teams. Yep.
So Mitch, you want to jump in onthe Giants because I think they
had. You made a big splash, Mitch,
first round. I think they.
Did pretty darn. Well, I want to know how it
feels. I think they I.
Think they killed it. I mean obviously if Jackson Dart
(01:47):
pans out like we hope then they absolutely killed the draft.
I mean they drafted my favorite player in the draft coming in.
Not that he was the first round pick, but he was just my
favorite Cam scataboo. Love the way that kid plays.
You did talk. You did love that guy.
That's right. I almost forgot about that one.
Yeah, I watched. I watched several of their games
(02:07):
and it was it was interesting because as as you're leading
into day three, I was torn between Scataboo and Embu.
And then they got Embu in the fifth round.
So I was like, that's a win, that's a big W.
So I think that my team personally killed the draft, but
it all boils down to just Jackson Dart pan.
Right. Is he the next Daniel Jones or
(02:28):
is he the next Tom Brady? Good Lord.
Maybe that's Tom Brady. Is he the next?
Did they reach too far or did they surprise you and make a
wise decision in what they gave up?
Because honestly, I'm not sure exactly what they gave up for to
come to go up and grab guard. Walk me through that.
I think they played their cards correctly.
(02:49):
They waited it out. Very similar to the year that
they drafted Daniel Jones. There was a telling trade that
happened immediately after and this year it was the Rams traded
while the Giants were still on the board after the trade came
in because they were connected to Jackson Dart.
And I was listening to a podcastwith Charlie Weiss, whose son is
(03:12):
the OC down there at Ole Miss, and he said that they were
absolute. The Rams were absolutely on
Dart. So and they they wind up giving
up a late third round pick and athird round pick next year.
If you get your quarterback of the future and you don't have to
give up, a future first round pick should win.
Yeah, I mean, I like dark tube. I was hoping the Steelers were
(03:35):
going to have a shot at him. I don't know that I would have
been super pumped if they jumpedup for the first round to grab
him. But you know, we'll see.
I don't think it's a it's a terrible pick.
I think it's a solid pick and hopefully it pans out for you
guys, Mitch. I mean, I know that that's a
need for you guys. Certainly it's a little bit
mixed this year. Now you're doing almost what the
Steelers did last year, right? You know, you've got veterans in
(03:57):
place, you got QB room that's, you know, got a little bit of
everything. What's the story?
You think it's going to be an open competition?
Do you think anything's been promised?
Do you think it's going to be best man wins and move on?
Well, I think that Wilson's beenpromised first shot at #1 and
it's one of those his job to lose.
I don't anticipate that he losesthat the plan that it sounds
(04:19):
like is they're going to, they're going to groom dart and
not play him this year. And that's what that's what
we're hoping for, you know. OK, Yep.
You know, because you know how it is.
The longer they get to sit and figure out the NFL, the better
off they're going to be. And when you throw these kids to
the wolves, sometimes you kill them year one or or send them
(04:39):
down. I'm in that camp for sure.
I. Think he, I don't think he sees
action this year. I think it's just later in the
year. I like him.
I fall, I watch the auto Ole Miss games and I play Bam
obviously. Think he, I think he's ready.
I think he's the NFL ready quarterback.
He's still got more to learn. Lane Kiffin's pretty damn good,
you know, and I think I again, if they don't put all the
(05:03):
pressure on him and he's not going to start the first 6-8
games, I think it's a perfect situation.
He learns from 2 veterans. You got one Super Bowl winner.
James Winston's not a bad quarterback.
Oh, he's, you know, he's had some great years and so, so
years. But I think it's a good
situation. What's it going to take to?
Get him on the field record wise.
I mean, if the Giants at halfwaypoint or four and four, he's not
(05:26):
playing. But if they're two and eight, or
two and six, two and seven, two and eight.
And you know, I, I would think that it would be very difficult
to not get him on the field if your season is done.
Yeah. But once again, fingers crossed
we don't have to go through that.
But they hopefully they can staycompetitive.
The way they built the defense. It looks like they have a shot
at being competitive. But the schedule is brutal.
(05:51):
You know, much like what the Steelers ran into last year,
right? Well, I love your first pick.
Could you not? Yeah, Carter's Carter's a.
Beast for sure. I mean, yeah, I mean, that was
AI mean thank. That was a no brainer, right?
I mean, it was great that he wasthere.
I think he's going to be impactful right away.
He was such a no brainer. There's there's no point in even
(06:13):
talking about him. You know, I mean, I'm not saying
generational talent because I hate that term, but he.
Has potentially to be one of thebest defensive players if he
pans out. Yeah, I love, was it Scataboos?
I love him. I love him.
I love his moxie and he's got it.
He's just always going to have achip on his shoulder.
(06:34):
Yeah, which is good. And he's a good kid.
He's not like overly obnoxious or this and that.
He's just wants to prove that hecan be the best player at that
position. Yep.
I expect. Who else do they get?
I mean, I didn't follow. Who else is?
Do you like that? That Giants got anybody else?
Darius Alexander's older prospects, 6 years at Toledo, D
(06:57):
Tackle. Line him up with Dexter Lawrence
and create some problems for these offensive lines.
It should be really interesting. As Giants fans, we've been
begging for an identity and I think they finally got back to
it. Offensive coordinators and
quarterbacks should be under duress whenever they have Giants
on their schedule with Carter, Thibodeau, Burns, Lawrence.
(07:22):
They got a Chauncey Galston thatplayed for Dallas last year.
So I mean, they they got a lot of people, a lot of bodies to
throw at the quarterbacks. So hopefully it'll be a lot of
fun. Yeah, they're all chasing the
Eagles, Mitch. Yeah, no doubt.
Do you? So what are your expectations,
wins and losses? I know it's way early but
curious. Schedule is brutal like I
(07:45):
alluded to. I mean if they can win 7-8 games
that would be a great season. Who they playing?
What division they playing against?
AFC West and I forget who they're playing in the NFCI,
think they might even be playing.
I have to look at the schedule, Jason, to be honest with you.
I just, I just know that there'sno cupcakes and the division,
(08:05):
the don't forget the division has the Super Bowl winner,
upstart Washington and Dallas, who's every all seasons Super
Bowl contenders. So yeah.
Yeah, it's a tough. One no doubt.
No doubt. But the good news, so the good
news is you got good young talent forming on your team that
I see. And if if they if they have a
(08:25):
really bad year, you guys are blowing up the coaching staff
and GM, right, You think? That's what it looks like.
I hope that that you know, by trading up and drafting the
quarterback, unless he comes in as a total tool bag, which he
doesn't come across that way, you know, multiple interviews
I've seen. Hopefully they give this regime
(08:46):
an opportunity to grow their quarterback, but you never know.
We we see it every year. You know, new head coach gets a
gets a rookie quarterback and loses his job.
Look at Eve refuse, you know outwhen he had Caleb Williams and
happens all the time. I think the Giants and the
Falcons are very similar. The coaching staff and the GM,
(09:09):
if they don't perform, they're fucking gone.
They're blowing it up again. So tired of blowing it up.
I mean, Arthur Blank, what theseguys do, whatever he want.
I mean, when the Falcons move back in the first round, I mean,
it's basically they they're doing everything possible to
right to ship. Definitely on defense, yeah.
(09:30):
I could jump into the Steelers, right?
Let's do that, I'll Yep. Everybody thought it was
quarterback in the first round, but no, it was not.
And I think that was the right call.
I think ultimately we've got a diamond in the rough.
I think so. I love Will Howard.
Yeah. I mean, six round pick and yeah,
I'm just getting more and more excited about everything I read
about the kid. I mean, obviously we all
(09:50):
followed Ohio State's run to thenational title, right?
You know, it keeps getting compared to Josh on the bills,
right? I keep seeing that over and over
again. I don't know if that's, you
know, how how truthful that's going to be, but we'll see.
Unlike you, Mitch, I hope he doesn't sit the whole time,
right? I think there's going to.
Be. Real competition and, you know,
(10:12):
in the offseason. Who?
Who is it your. Quarterback room right I mean
it's Mason Yep Mason and Skyler Thompson and yeah I mean it's
exactly it's open season it's open season so I think this
might be the time to say you know what look you know we're
going to give this kid a shot and if you keep flames out right
and, you know we end up going you know 5 and you know 5:00 and
(10:33):
12:00 right you know so be it there's.
No way you guys are. What's that?
Not under time. Right, exactly.
No way. I mean, yeah, I think we look,
we we plugged in pieces on the defense that, you know, we're
going to just enhance what we already had to be a top five,
top 10 defense, right, Probably top five in my opinion.
So I think what they did there was great.
(10:54):
They they got a replacement for Naji in around 3.
KJ's an unbelievable pick. I love the fact they picked guys
from Iowa and Ohio State, right?Grind it out, you know, Iowa,
but in trouble scoring at all, right, last year.
So anybody on defensive side of the ball, anyone who runs the
ball from Iowa that they've beendoing pretty well the last few
years. So I'm pumped about that.
And you know, 2-2 guys from OhioState championship team, Jack
(11:16):
Sawyers, you know, just nuts. Huge plays he made all year for
them, especially in the in the playoff run.
So yeah, I'm super happy about that.
I'm glad they didn't reach on a quarterback early.
They get pressured into that. Everything I read was hey, guy,
right, or, or the, or the pundits, right?
I mean, one day he's you know, he's in, he's in camp, he's
throwing with DK like, Oh yeah, he's going to be signed any
(11:38):
moment, right? And then another day he's like,
well, I got a lot of personal stuff going on.
I got family drama. I've got a new girlfriend.
I've got some personal, you know, commitments I've got to
stand up too. So he's being completely wishy
washy. So I'm like, well, which one is
it? Do you want to go out in the
desert and smoke pot and live ina fucking Kwanzaa Hut or do you
want to play one more year? I don't think he really cares if
you need the money, right? I think he's looking for a
(12:00):
situation that he can go. I mean, it's a really good
situation of Pittsburgh, yeah, offensive pieces, one of the
best defenses every year. I mean, they're trying to make a
playoff run, but they're like a fringe with him.
I if he's back to what he was towards the end of last year,
yeah, he's they're a fringe super.
Bowl, but he's but he's made a pay he's made a pay for a
machine man. I can't stand it.
I mean, the guy is constantly getting nicked up and hurt and
(12:23):
I, you know, he's. A prima Donna.
Now he's a prima. Donna and he's, you know,
always. You never know what you're going
to get, You think. Oh, he's going in and playing,
you know some shit team and you're going just got to light
up and have 400 yards. This is the fantasy owner in me
talking, right? I didn't have much year, but I
had some of his targets all yearand I was like, what the fuck
are we doing here, right? You know, he throws for 112
yards and, you know, no touchdowns at 2 picks.
(12:44):
And you're like, really? You know, And then you know,
against the better team, he'll throw it late in the season when
it doesn't matter and I'm already out of the playoffs.
He throws a 450 yards, blames Rogers.
Right, right. So yeah, I'm a little bit
better, right? I'm a little bit better towards
that whole situation. But honestly, I don't think we
need to add a 41 year old quarterback to the mix.
You know, let's get younger. I.
Mean the only quarterback and hesaid proved he could still play
(13:07):
is Tom Brady. Yeah.
And there's only one in him. There's nothing.
So yeah, getting back to will hard.
He's not going to start the season, but I think it's going
to be a pretty short leash, right?
Look at what happened last year, right?
You know, Steelers started out well, They you know, they made
some QB changes fairly early when they had a what's only to
kind of fumble down the, you know, down the stretch, right?
So, you know, I think they're we're going to see what they
got. We'll probably find out more
(13:28):
obviously in in OTAs. So I'm excited about it, though.
Steelers did their thing, do what they always do, you know,
again, B plus work in the draft, right?
You know, they had very few misses generally and they pick
Steeler guys, right? That's that's what it's all
about. So.
I think they had super happy about it.
They did a good draft. Falcons did it, Jason, they did
(13:50):
it. They finally.
They finally picked the guy fromGeorge.
First, they finally picked SEC. Players too.
They got three. They have three of the SEC
here's they, you know, moved back in.
They wanted him. They were going to draft him and
Walker was not there at 15. Sure that that's already it's
become it already came out. So, you know, everybody's giving
(14:10):
them shit because they gave up their first rounder next year
and all this and that. If the guy pans out and he's he
is our first rounder from next year.
Defense is our. That's the way you got to look
at it. Like I still was training for
Mika a few years ago. First round pick to my.
He wasn't fucking he. Was the first round pick, right?
So I mean, you can't look at it like that.
So I'm excited. They didn't deviate.
They wanted defense, defense, defense until the last pick.
(14:32):
They got offensive tackle. Yeah.
So, you know, they need some things on all.
They probably need a backup center.
They could use another cornerback, but I'm excited.
I mean, if this fucking team doesn't start sacking the
quarterback this year, then it'sdefinitely the scheme.
I mean jail Walker is a beast for what, 43 speed or something?
And that dude Pierce, now he's alittle weird, they say, but he
(14:56):
is a natural edge rusher. So I mean, for once I was like
when that pic was happening, like please don't fuck this up.
Please don't mess this up, please.
And they did. They didn't mess it up.
I they were, they were didn't, they were shocked that Walker
was there. They didn't know.
And then that was the right pickand they went after the guy.
They wanted it later, so. Unlike Mitch, right, who's
(15:18):
chasing the Eagles Super Bowl champs.
You know they're chasing Tampa, right, Baker Mayfield, right,
the same. The Saints are a fucking mess,
right? They didn't they didn't really
improve themselves. I mean, they they picked that,
you know, Louisville quarterbackin third round.
I was like, I'm sorry. Early, way too early, right?
40th pick right out of Sudhir. Yeah, yeah, we'll talk about.
But I don't know that they did themselves any huge favors, you
(15:38):
know, and improve them a whole lot.
They're kind of a massive quarterback position.
Carolina's Carolina, right? They're always going to, you
know, do Carolina. It's like the Browns.
But Carolina's is rebuilding. You know, they're probably
another two years away, and you never know, maybe a year away.
What? My point is that.
You know, you win 10 games, you're probably winning that
division. Yeah, maybe.
I mean, and Atlanta, on paper, they should.
(16:00):
They should be. They should be fine.
Yeah, I mean, the Giants got to play the Eagles twice, the
Redskins twice, right, And the Cowboys, which is a wild card.
So I mean, yeah, I mean, Mitch is absolutely right.
The Giants just their division scale and the.
AFC West is no cakewalk now, there's some good teams there
so, but it was nice to see that. What's the draft?
Score. What do you give them?
(16:21):
So let's read all these pundits, because I'm judging on the
draft, not what they had to giveup.
I give them. I'll give.
Them an AA minus, I don't, I mean they didn't have a lot of
picks, but those picks they got,I think they're going to be
impactful. They had a, they had a, they had
a. Program a real plan.
They had a plan and they and they.
Execute. But they're getting Ding on what
they gave up. I'm like, but then if Pierce is
(16:43):
what he is, then they're all going to go back.
And if he has 810 sacks this year, yeah, I mean, everybody
shut up, right, dude? Yeah, so.
And half of it's like most of these fucking pundits are
idiots. What's funny is that they're
like, oh, what if, what if it's a top ten pick next year, you
know? Blah, blah, blah.
If it's a top ten pick, then it doesn't matter anyway.
That means the bad coaching, badGM, all that you're, you're
(17:06):
blowing the team up anyway. And you know what, they're
probably going to trade somebodyto get back into the first.
Don't get somebody they'll get rid of.
They're going to get rid of someof the talent they have because
they need, they might need a first round pick.
So. So we're all pretty happy with
our drafts, right? I know I am.
Mitch sounds like he's ecstatic. So Jason's super happy.
I want to lead A-Team that's in your division always seems to do
(17:29):
a phenomenal job. I know what you're going to say.
The Ravens and to me, did another very good job drafting.
Did you see their draft, Mitch? Yeah, I mean, like you said,
Baltimore always does it right. Much like Philadelphia, they
just seem to have a knack for finding the right to fall.
On their lap, though, yeah, it'sit's incredible to me like that,
(17:50):
you know, that guy who's like everyone's saying, oh, he he'll
be next, he'll be next, he'll benext.
Always seems to fall to the Ravens.
So yeah, as a Steeler fan, that pisses me off.
But you're right. Their their front office is
really. Good.
I mean, they just got better. Yeah, they're already a good
team, one of the best teams in the NFL.
They got better and they're getting younger.
So when those veterans get a little bit older, they can cut
(18:11):
them loose because they they keep drafting well.
I mean, it just shows you can still be a very good team year
after year and draft well. And you make your money not in
the first round. You make your money in that
third, fourth, fifth round. And they do it all day long.
All day long. Both of those teams,
Philadelphia and Baltimore, always get get a handful of
(18:33):
compensatory picks every year. They play that game better than
anybody else in the league. Yeah.
Great, great. It isn't.
It actually pisses me off because they just do it better.
Like just fucking hire people from those organizations.
Yeah. I mean, is Ozzie Newsome still
at the Ravers? Raven.
I don't know. Is he still the GM?
(18:53):
Or he's not the GM, but he's, he's like up there.
He's not retired. He's just out of that seat.
But dude, ever since he's been there, they've been like draft
friends. They've done a phenomenal job.
So I don't know. How many times they tap Alabama?
Surprises for me, though, yeah. What's that?
I. Mean how many times did
Baltimore tap Alabama? They just kept on hitting that
(19:15):
university. It was like, well, it's pretty
smart move, much like Philadelphia keeps on hitting
Georgia, you know, well. I just still have to tell you
something now. Philadelphia has more Bama
players than Georgia players now.
It's eight to seven now because they drafted a couple Bama
players as drafts. OK, it's kind of crazy.
But again, philosophy, why don'tyou just draft SEC top tier
(19:40):
teams? Big 10, you got some, you know,
maybe, maybe a couple teams in the ACC.
You're probably not going to go wrong exactly.
You know what I mean? Not not many in the ACCI mean.
But but but overall, I mean likeyou go big 10 SEC.
If I say had 14 guys, right, Georgia had 13, you know, and
(20:01):
Georgia. And was.
Is it down here? Yeah, yeah, it's amazing.
Yeah, old mishap game again. You know 8 old mishap you should
have had. Like, it's the blueprint for
teams that I mean, fuck, we livehere in Atlanta and they never
fucking draft SEC players. Yeah, it's rare.
I mean, you look at the roster, it's like Jesus.
So. What other team?
(20:21):
I I kind of read like the Eagle, not the New England did pretty
well. Even the Eagles, they said, did
well. New England.
That's about honestly what? Nothing surprised me, really.
I thought the draft was a littlebit on the boring side to be
honest with you, because there weren't a ton of surprises and
there were only what, 3 trades in the first round I think, and
none of them were a big splash that included players and big,
(20:42):
big packages. But I, you know, I got to give
Jacksonville credit. They went up and got 100 number.
I thought the Browns were fucking idiots for not, you
know, if you need that team needs weapons in the worst way
right now. Granted, they need somebody to
throw the ball too and they got crazy QB room now.
I don't really understand that either.
We're going to we're going to analyze that later.
(21:02):
But the fact they went up and got honor it too.
I was like that kids got to be absolutely jacked, right?
To not go to Cleveland and to beable to go to Jack to go to
Jacksonville, you know, I mean, it's it's good for him, right?
Good for him. Well, how?
Am I sold in that quarterback? How will he handle being #2 you
know, the number 2 wide receiverbecause Brian Thomas the number
(21:23):
one there. Oh, no, no doubt about that.
No doubt about that. But I mean, you think about just
the atmosphere and not great, playing with fans, loyal, blah,
blah, blah. But are you gonna play in
Cleveland? OH, right, in winter or you want
to play in Jacksonville, Right. No state.
Taxes. No one's rooting for the Jags,
but it's everybody. The visiting team has more fans
(21:46):
in the Jaguars. And So what?
Right, So what? Dude, I've got trust me, they
don't have a their quarterback is overrated.
He sucks in my opinion. That team's in shambles in my
opinion. Well, I think they needed far
more than getting him. That's just my thing.
I think they. Reached I think they made a
splash. I think he's going to sell.
I think they're trying to sell tickets.
(22:07):
And I get that. But dude, I think he's got kids.
The next Tyreke, I swear to God,he's going to be the next
Tyreke. And down there in the heat when
it's hot and they're running around like crazy in the first
four weeks and nobody can keep up with them, look at.
You think? So I think so.
Jason, that's just me, Edward here.
It's a. Business.
Decision, right? Yeah, Yeah.
It's business, business. It's a business decision.
(22:29):
Think about the jersey sales that they're going to have.
He's Hunter's going to play Boston.
See again. But is that guy going to be
playing two way? He might be.
I think he's good enough. I.
Think he's going to try, but it's just a recipe for an
injury. They're going to either you put
them in one or the other and every once in a while maybe
they'll put them in that. The position he's not playing, I
(22:50):
think that's far fetched. You think that guy's going to
play 8080% of the snaps in the game?
Fuck no. Both sides?
No way, you know. What?
Nobody said Bo Jackson could play baseball either, right?
Baseball and football. And he did it, so you know.
I didn't say both Jacks could never bullshit.
No, but I mean a. Lot of people said, but that's a
different sport. This is you're playing the same.
(23:11):
You're playing 60 minutes, you're going to play offense and
defense and you're going to playfor 50 minutes of it.
No fucking way. No way.
What do you think? Look, he's not a big tackler
anyways, right man? She's out there to to defend
passes, right? So he's running routes, he's
locking up their number one guy. He's not coming up.
Going to get hurt, he's going toget hurt.
(23:32):
He's. He's going to the corner trying
to knock the ball away and then try to, you know, score on the
slants, right? I mean, you know, I don't think
it's far fetched to say they cango both ways.
For us spectators, let's hope hecan do it.
I want to see, you know, I want to see that he can't do it
before they don't allow him to do it.
But I will say. Right.
I just think. It's on both sides in the heat
(23:54):
in Jacksonville. Good luck.
Yep, there we go. There we go.
All right, so quarterbacks, there was only two in the first
round. I thought three.
I got it. You got it right.
I got it right. It was pretty weak of a
quarterback class, at least in the draft today.
Obviously the guy took all the headlines or the low lights.
There was Shadeer Sanders and now you're hearing back.
(24:18):
Maybe he purposely tank interviews and this and that
like cuz he didn't want to go tocertain teams.
I think that's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard in
my life. That cost him millions of
dollars tanking. I think he's just an idiot and
no one wants his dad to be part of the baggage.
I agree or disagree. I agree, bitch.
Yeah, I agree there's there's too much with that family.
(24:40):
And is he talented? Sure.
Does he deserve to be a first round pick?
Not really. You know, Should he fairly know
I? Don't know.
Look, man. Look.
The NFL drafts, rapists drafts, abusers drafts.
You know all sorts of folks, right?
Who have done far worse, right? Than just run your mouth.
And they still run them and theystill say it's a business, like
(25:03):
we just said, right? You know, this guy's going to
help me. I'm going to brush aside the,
you know, the traffic tickets hehad in college or the, you know,
the rape allegations he had in college.
Whatever it is, whatever bad things these, you know, some of
these guys have done in the past, again, everybody deserves
a second chance. But, you know, if they're going
to take, if they're willing to take a shot on those guys
earlier, much earlier, right? We've seen some very high picks
(25:24):
with some very sketchy backgrounds.
You know, there was more to the story than just, you know, he's,
he's too cocky or his, his dad'sgoing to get in the way.
I mean, it had to be a, a mix oftalent and, you know, circus
atmosphere and, you know, and, and maybe his bravado and, you
know, the way he carried himselfand the way they thought, look,
(25:45):
this guy's not going to be a good mix on our team.
So we're going to pass. Right.
Well, if like they say, I'm there for that reason, I'm out.
Yeah. And and I'll kind of.
If a team is talking to him and tells them, hey, you know,
you're not going to start right away, this is our plan.
And he says that I don't want tobe here and I'm not.
(26:07):
I'm not saying I heard that, just speculating that maybe
that's part of that part of the plan.
Who wants that? You know, you got it.
You got to earn your spot of a Breer, put out some, you know,
some information about how he conducted himself in meetings.
And it sounds terrible, you know, Well.
Then the giant said, yeah, the giant said he was God awful.
And you know, I hate to say it. Why wouldn't you want to play in
(26:30):
New York? I mean, the number one mark in
the country, huge dollars to be made in, right.
So I I don't know. I mean, the one thing that
drives me crazy, some of the pundits like look at the
statistics he had and this and that.
I'm like, he played in what a weak ass conference.
He was one in eight against fucking winning teams, ranking
(26:52):
whatever, maybe winning teams. I mean, and I'm not saying he
can't be successful, but it's like, I don't know if he should
have been a fifth rounder. He definitely wasn't a first
rounder. And you know what?
He's going to have to. It's humble pie.
And maybe he he doesn't steam like it, but maybe he will
actually heed this moment and grasp it and work his butt off
(27:14):
because he's still that court, that clean one.
It's wide open. It doesn't matter if you're the
fifth round pick or you're the incumbent starter.
It's wide open who can be the starter.
He wasn't even the first quarterback that picked.
I know it's crazy. Well because because I think
people were shying away and think about it.
Now, each round he drops the money's nothing church.
(27:37):
It's like what, four years? He could have $1,000,000.
It's a joke. He could have made more if you
stayed one more year at school. He made more money.
Then then then he's going to make for his entire rookie
contract, right? Same thing with yours.
Where did he go? He went the seventh round,
right? So he's going to make nothing if
he makes the team. And he was guaranteed, he had a
lot of guaranteed NIL offers fora lot more than that.
(27:59):
So it tells you that they're still chasing the dream more
than they're chasing money. If they were just chasing the
money, they would have stayed incollege.
But obviously they've earned enough, right?
And then they want to, you know, better themselves and say, this
is my dream, I want to move on regardless of the money, right?
So I think years passed without NIL, kids would have gone wary.
We always saw that soon as they were draft eligible, they're out
(28:22):
because they're not making any money.
Now I'm a little bit surprised that our kids aren't staying for
longer to say, you know what used to be I'm going to improve
my draft position. Now it's.
Hey, I got guaranteed coin from NIL that I might never see in
the pros, right? That'd be hard to pass out.
Yeah. Let's.
Kind of review. Here's the quarterbacks on the
(28:44):
Cleveland Rounds roster. Yeah, Flacco star Shadir
Sanders, Shaman Watson still there.
Yeah, you know, he's hurt. But yeah, you got Joe Flacco,
you got Kenny Pickett, and then you got Dylan Gabriel.
What the fuck? I don't know.
I don't know how that's all going to play out, obviously.
They're not Kenny Pickett. Don't forget about Kenny.
Pickett. Kenny Pickett, Yeah.
(29:06):
I mean, he's probably the star. Probably Flacco.
I would. I don't know.
We'll see. There's going to be a battle
there for sure, you know? But yeah, it's a mess.
Cleveland being Cleveland, right?
But I don't blame him drafting Chadir.
I guess it's a value. Pick and five it could be a
doubt it could be a diamond in arough I don't know I don't know
I mean he's got a lot of things to work on like you've scout him
(29:29):
you look at it he's not he's notNFL polished yet you know the
quarter. I don't think the NFL so in love
like the mobile quarterback and this and that.
You know, I still think there's a place of, you know, Mahomes.
Look at Mahomes. He he runs only when he has to.
He's just so good moving around the pocket.
(29:50):
Sure like there's so I wouldn't call him a running quarterback.
I call, you know, Alan in Buffalo.
He runs. Oh yeah, he runs yards last
year, he runs. A double digit Lamar Jackson
run. They're not designing a lot of.
Murray runs, but not as much as people think.
Like, I think people fall in love, but the NFL still more
like stay in a tween, right? You know, in between the
(30:12):
tackles, right overall, his rollouts, this and that, but.
I think you got the guys who runwhen they can, right?
When they see the need, you knowthey're.
In or Justin Fields runs first. Then throws, right.
Well, but you've got offenses that, you know, have dialed up
plays just for, you know, specific runs.
Josh Allen, for instance, right.I mean, they've got a lot of
(30:33):
packages just for him that are design runs.
And we know that because you could see him the way they snap
it and go, it's like, Oh yeah, it's design run where other
teams, it's more like, you know, inorganic just kind of yeah,
organic just kind of goes, you know, as the as the.
Game goes. I mean, the statue quarterback
is probably gone. Yeah.
Like, you can't just stick back there.
Oh, Matt. Stafford.
(30:53):
But yeah, he's one, Yeah, but heGoff, he's another one.
They they got quick releases though.
I mean, that's the thing if you're going to be a not mobile
and of course, you know, Stafford's old now.
It's almost what he's 3840 yearsold.
So but like, but the you know, like the drop back throat, like
Kirk Cousins now is just a drop back quarterback, seven step
(31:14):
drop. You know, he he could move
around, but those quarterbacks are not as successful anymore
because the lines suck. The offensive lines are so bad
overall. I mean, when you think one's
good, they're really not that good.
So I mean, what is the best linein the NFL, you know?
That Philadelphia, Yeah. OK, yeah, both teams are in the
(31:36):
Super Bowl, so yeah. But other than that, but it's a
kind of amazing because they do a great job drafting then
because they pay big money to those big positions.
So that's where they're scoutingdepartments just better than
everybody else. Yeah, because they they draft
ahead, so they they have a guy waiting in the wings and don't
skip a beat. Detroit's the same way.
(31:58):
When you already had franchise players, you know, a franchise
quarterback, maybe a tight end, whatever, you can draft lineman
at the end of the first round, you can draft lineman in the
second round. And those are where those guys
go now. Most of them, of course, it was
a pretty heavy offensive linemandraft in the first round and
defensive, jeez, defensive line, which you know, it was a deep
(32:21):
draft anyway. But you know that that's the
thing when your team's good. There's not a lot to.
Improve upon. You're building on the future,
you're building the backups to be the starters, like you're
saying, Mitch. And unfortunately, the Steelers
have been more in that position. Our teams are not.
We're going for the Hail Marys because we're drafting top 15
every fucking year. And most of the time it's it's
(32:43):
not necessarily working out. Yeah, it was light on shutdown
corners this year too. I think the first corner, there
was not a lot of DBS taken in the first round.
Some years it's, you know, five out of the 1st 12, right?
I like the the secondary guy from Georgia.
He yeah. Where you going?
He went to the Ravens. Yeah, he's yeah, he's going to
be. And he don't have to be the big
(33:03):
guy yet. He gets to learn off very good
players already. So I didn't watch every minute
of the draft, did you? I watched probably more this
year than I have most years. So yes, I mean, I mean certainly
I like the Thursday night thing.I stayed up for the whole I did
watch the 1st. Night and I watched a little bit
stuck Friday. Yeah, Friday night, I mean, it
(33:23):
was on and I was sitting in front of it for the most part,
but yeah, I mean, I'm moving around a little bit more.
Not as locked in as the first round and then four through 7
was. I watched a good bit of.
It they said the ratings on Friday were the best ever
because Sanders wasn't drafted yet.
Yeah. Did you watch a lot of the
Mitch? All of it, every year.
(33:45):
Yeah, every, every moment, I'm sure which.
Channel did you watch? Day three, once it hits, you
know, late fifth round, sixth round, I'm kind of, you know,
paying attention to something else, what's in the background.
But yeah, days one and two. What I did?
I'm locked in. We were playing golf that day,
right? Yeah, yeah.
(34:06):
So we yeah, I didn't even see the Will Howard thing.
Live, they still do it right. I mean the NFL still the cream
of the crop of every sport in America.
And then, you know, now they're going to release where the
schedule home and away what May 14th.
I mean, they they just do it right.
They do it right. I watched the NFL Network on the
(34:26):
draft. I didn't watch any other
station. I didn't watch ESPN.
I watched. I watched.
Jesus, and I guess I watched NFLtoo.
Whatever. Kiper's on now.
What a mess that was. Kiper is a fuck, he need he.
What an absolute. He is wrong on everything.
Yeah. Has he ever been right?
Yeah, he has. No.
Yeah, I. Mean, I mean Clawson, right,
(34:49):
that that's always the one that predicts but and then yeah, and
then. It's somebody.
It's a travesty, all of them. Like it's dude, you're not going
wait. Hey man, the NFL people are
right most of the time. Like.
One to him, he said. 50 years they've been fucking up
quarterbacks. I got, I mean, I'm not going to
call the NFL front offices wrong.
(35:10):
They know something more than weknow.
Yeah, they have way more information than any of those
guys sitting, you know, sitting on the ESP NS desk.
I haven't watched ESP NS draft in Poly decade just because
they're, you know, they. Run their mouths watching.
Nonsense. Apparently what I heard is ESPN
(35:31):
spent their whole time talking about shooter.
You know, they're be like announcing and then like, why
not? Shooter.
Because. Were you telling?
Me, yeah, this, this I jumped onthem about too because I was
like that's ridiculous. Like they, when he did get
picked finally right now was I was watching at that time, then
it was non-stop talk for 2530 minutes on just that.
(35:54):
And there were like 6 or 7 kids who got picked that should have
gotten their day, right? Their parents are watching,
their coaches are watching, their towns are watching to see
where they got picked. And it was nothing.
And I felt so bad for these kidsthat just got glossed over for
this ridiculous shit that we were going through with Sanders.
I'm like enough already, you know?
(36:14):
Can you concentrate on the kids that did get picked?
Ken Ward was the number one draft pick at the same position.
There's no talk about him. It's all about shooter.
I know. It.
It's that's, and I agree with what you're saying, obviously,
but it's like, how can they not even talk about the first
overall pick? And I think part of that is much
(36:37):
like I said earlier about Abdul Carter, you knew what was going
to happen. So, you know, and it was the
right pick. So it's like, let's gloss over
and move on to the topic. That's more interesting, I
guess. Yeah.
That's that's going to sell advertising.
So if the NFL smart, they do Hard Knocks with Cleveland.
(36:57):
Get the fucking zoo and the showand.
You know, fucking. Bullshit and and people will
TuneIn. I don't think I will.
It's not my I don't wish him to not be successful, but I just
that's doesn't excite me for hisshit.
I love Deion Sanders, he would play for the Falcons.
I don't play for the Cowboys. I mean, he's a hall of favorite,
but Deion Sanders was one of thebest college players ever to
(37:17):
play the fucking game. So all the pump and
circumstances for him were warranted.
The only reason Shadir's gettingall he gets is because his
father's name and all that. So prove it, boy, prove it.
See if you can do it, Sudhir. And then his brother got just
signed with him. Tampa.
It was like a free agent in the seventh round.
So I think he was free agent. So, you know, I mean, and the
(37:40):
reason he got he's going, he'll get a shake.
But I mean, how often do those guys make it on a team too?
So but you know, hey, like I said, NFL doing it right and you
know, we'll see what happens. I mean, before I know we'll be
talking about fucking training camp, Yeah.
I mean, it's going to be. I think we all, like you always
say when it's the beginning of the year, we all are excited.
(38:01):
And I think, I think we'll be excited for our teams.
They may not do as well as we like.
Optimism, but the. Thing is.
Until half time in the first game.
They're. Down they're down 14 and he
goes. Nuts but the youth that I like
for all our team it's you're getting younger you're getting
promising talent. So it should eventually turn
right. You you know, it might not be
(38:22):
the coach that we have today. We hope it is because if you
don't have to get change your coach, you're usually going the
right way. So yeah, I'm victim.
I'm optimistic your your son probably selling more tickets.
He did, you know, that day, Thatnext day?
So I mean, it's a big deal, you know, and we'll see where it
goes. I don't know.
Hey, shout out Hill Grove football.
(38:42):
Two more going to the pros. Two more yeah.
Jalen Royals. Got fourth round to KC right and
then Reuben Lowry undrafted freeagent but he did sign with
Baltimore so DB out of FCS. Schools Tennessee.
I mean, what tech? It's Hillgreve had about 10
guys. 9, I think that was 9. That's pretty impressive.
Incredible, right? For a yeah.
(39:04):
I mean, I don't know if they'll.I think Royals will, certainly.
But they've had guys like, he's pretty good in the NFL, very
good, you know, not Pro Bowl, not just guys who played for a
year and they, Oh my God, he's. A journeyman.
He's a Pro Bowl, so. So yeah, it's kind of nice on
that. Well.
We had a little run for. Well, Mitch had public school.
The Giants had a. Yeah.
(39:28):
Yeah, yeah, I do. We'll end up here.
I love the Warren pick. Who'd he go?
Penn State tight end. Where'd he go?
Love that guy. Indianapolis.
He got drafted second. That guy from Michigan got
drafted. So I was listening to that and
it was yesterday or today. They think they'll put Warren as
a running back a little bit too in Indianapolis.
(39:48):
Sure. He's got that build, right?
HPAC. He's got a great hand.
I love like, man, that would be awesome to have a guy like that
on your team. He'll come in right away.
And he dominated it. The ham.
Aw, yeah. Yeah, so they should give him
like 45 or something, his number, you know, just
something. That's what he had.
He was like 44. Yeah.
Yeah. He was in the 40s.
It should be, yeah. What was the what was the Colts
(40:10):
tight end who wore 44 for years?Mitch.
Who was that guy? Not Pollard, no.
No, he's a good one too. Yeah, Dallas.
Clark, yeah, he was pretty solid.
Yeah, that kind of player. Yeah, good for him.
All right, we're going to do quick snack.
We're going to change gears, talk about the braids a little
bit. We can talk about the Blue Jays
(40:32):
as well, because that's Mitch's team.
I don't know how are they doing. Not well, they.
Got all that talent, they got all that young talent.
Yeah, well, I mean, they have a lot of holes, man.
They have a lot of holes. They're out of fields of
disaster. George Springer is like 38 years
(40:52):
old now. Yeah.
He's is that old now? Yeah, it's we've got Guerrero
the Shat, right? Is he still there?
Yeah, Bichette, so do. You have another one, Cam and
Eddie. Yeah, that's a different.
Team No they they had. They.
Had they had Bizio? They had Bizio's kid, but he's
now he's gone. I I know he went to the Dodgers.
(41:13):
He may still be there. I don't know where he is now.
And they had. They have.
What's the record? What is?
Oh really? Is he any good?
I don't know. I don't think he ever made it
up. I don't think he made it to the
big team. What's the record of the Blue
Jays? Sub 5.
That's a tough division too. That's the best player in
baseball in that division. Did you see that statistic?
(41:36):
Judge started out the first X amount of games and they
compared it to this year and he still won MVP last year.
He was hitting like 186 through the 1st 28 games last year.
He's hitting like 400 something right now.
Yeah, it's nuts. I mean, that dude is a beast.
So. All right, we'll do the snack.
So this week, we we had to throwsomething together.
(41:58):
You ever had Annie's snack Mix, Mitch?
I have not, but I'd like to so. So we get this through Thrive
Market? Yeah, we just get it online.
So it's got a pretzel. A wannabe goldfish.
But it's a Bunny. Funny, yeah.
So hey man, anything that's got cheese and.
Pretzels like cheese that's meats, wheats, pretzels.
(42:20):
So falling into a pattern here with our snacks, right?
I mean, it's a lot of pretzels. And a lot of nuts.
A lot of nuts and a lot of lot of this stuff.
Let's see. I can't honestly say I've ever
had these either. These look like goldfish.
What's fake? A little savory taste to it,
little, I don't know, seasoning salt so well.
Look. They're organic.
(42:41):
It's non-GMO. A lot of, you know, important
shit here on the box. Jason, look at that.
So RFK. Might.
Approve this at least Bobby approved.
I don't know about that, probably close, but not all
right, I'll give a quick. Rating.
I'll give it 3-8. You want to go?
I'm going to go 36. We'll drive for me.
But you know what? Next to them with some nuts,
maybe. Maybe M&M's you.
(43:03):
Know making good days? Yeah, Rock'n'roll.
Exactly right. We'll tag them.
Solid snack Annie's. Good job, Mitch.
I've been beating up the Braves 6 Baseball started the season.
Yeah. And I was hoping tonight they
would have been 500 because I would have been eating my words.
Yep. And you know, they still got to
work, but they're 14 and 16. They started out O and seven.
(43:25):
I think they were two and eight.Yep.
So probably one of the hotter teams in baseball.
Four straight series. Yep.
They still don't have Strider. They still don't have Ronald.
Ron's going back the 3rd or 4th.OF and it's a rotating left
fielder they got. They demoted Jared.
What's his name? Clinic.
Clinic. They signed Rosario again.
(43:49):
Yep. And my wife's still hanging
around, so yeah, it's. I mean, it's a mess, but Chris
Sale pitched pretty good today. He's starting to pitch better,
but he's more than three. Yep.
I mean, everything's stacked. It's good.
They're moving the right direction.
The only thing that concerns me is closer.
Well, besides that their bullpenhas been shaky here and there.
I don't know if the wild card iscoming out.
(44:09):
I think the wild card is coming out of the West as of today.
Sure, you got four teams that are pretty damn good.
That's why the Rockies are what the Rockies are.
So if the Braves are going to make the playoffs this year,
they might have to win the division and the Mets are for
real. The Mets will be the Mets.
The Mets will match. Trust me.
I'm more concerned about the Phillies.
(44:30):
I'm not concerned about the Mets.
The Mets have played the most games against teams under 500
though, in the in the major leagues right now.
So but I'm I, I again, I'm the biggest race fan in the world.
I just hate when we don't manageright.
We don't. The guy who's really pissing me
off on the team is Ozzy. He swings the first pitch every
(44:50):
time and he gets out like work. The fucking count.
One of my guys at work said or the other day said the same
thing. He's he's on the whole should,
should he keep switching and bandwagon?
I said. What are his splits?
He goes, well, I don't know. And so maybe you should probably
do a little research before he just starts saying that, right?
He is better, I think, yeah. Yeah, but that's because you
(45:10):
face more rights. I mean, but he but his splits
are they're, they're like 50 points different.
Not so much for power. I'm talking about average,
though. Well, again, look, I love Ozzy.
It's. Going to be fun.
I'm not. Worried Ozzy will not be able to
brave when his contract's up. I'm just telling him I mean he's
a steal now but someone's going to overpay him for mediocrity.
(45:31):
His gloves not even good anymore.
All the odds you hate. But him and when Ronald's in, it
does motivate them both. And then Jeff Rancour, I'm going
off on a tangent and I'm pissed.Jeff Rancour goes on TV say the
brains are better without RonaldCunha in the lineup.
Well let me tell you when he's not in the lineup they're like 8
(45:52):
games under 500. When he is in the lineup they
win like 60 plus percent of the games.
It's the dumbest comment I ever heard.
They like he said he doesn't need him and then he goes insane
breath. He's like, he's the best
talented brace. Player ever.
I think that was just our heatermoment right there.
It just pisses me off. You either say he's good, he's
good with it, like he's brace are far better when he's in the
(46:13):
lineup now. We don't know how he's going to
come back. You know, he better not steal as
much. He better not go after stupid
fly balls, all that shit. You know, I wish that Zuna was a
little better in the field because I'd rather have him in
the field sometimes and put. Put in left.
Field which is and put wrong space.
What do you do with them but anyway?
The. Bear.
But the cool thing is they stillgot a reigning MVP and probably
(46:36):
the Cy Young winner if he would have pitched the whole year next
year coming back. So it's optimism, but they're
going to have to make a move fora bullpen and they're going to
have to. They're going to have to win
probably 98 games. Yeah, the one need to.
Be funny thing is I saw the nextbobble head is Iglesias you know
doing this I think they should be doing this like watching home
runs go up the. Back because you're about to get
fucking. He's getting lit up.
(46:57):
So lit up this year. So but but baseball isn't it.
I mean, you got about eighteens are really good and the rest
suck, right? I mean, American League is, you
know, you got, you got. I don't even know.
I just know the Yankees are by far, I don't even know.
Are the ransacks above 500 struggling?
(47:17):
They're really like 11 and 18, what they were doing last.
Year, so yeah. So the Blue Jays are better than
Baltimore? Red Sox are above.
Who is? Currently 17 and 14.
Yeah, but it's all. Struggle though.
How about doesn't really matter? How about the Sacramento A's?
Aren't they like 500? They're right there.
They were 13 and 13 a couple games ago.
I don't know how they, you know, what they're at currently right
(47:38):
now, but man, what an offense, what an offense.
Jason weapons all over the place.
So who did anything? Who's coming to Atlanta?
That exactly. Right.
Trust me, they're coming. So they just called Nick Kurtz
up, right? Kid from Wake Forest for years.
Who's been? Absolutely.
Destroying it in in the minor league and they've got a
absolute log jam with that hole first base slash DH slash left
(48:01):
field right. They've got we need a left
field. They've got like five guys for
three spots, to be honest with you.
So I, I don't know, I'm not surehow they're going to continue to
kind of keep guys in the lineup, right?
And they're all doing well. It's not like one guy's
struggling. They just brought him up because
they're like, why the hell isn'the up here, right?
I mean, we're barely selling anyseats, right?
I mean, they're, you know, they got 6000 people going to
(48:23):
Sacramento, West Sacramento every night.
Hey, hey, just think about July 100 and fucking 8° there.
Oh. I know it.
Who was going to the fucking ball game in 100?
They better be selling $2.00 beers, yeah?
And everything at night, Yeah, We're starting games at like
midnight, you know? Yeah.
So the Cubs are, aren't they in first?
I don't know. Yeah, he's in Central.
(48:44):
Central. 'S kind of a log game.
Cardinals aren't doing great. Cubs have faced the most teams
above 5 win, Have they? Yeah, I think so.
I don't. I haven't looked.
Cubs are in first place. You got it up.
What's what's like 6-7 games above 5?
What are they? They've had the toughest
schedule so far. Good for them.
I mean, I always feel like it doesn't matter what type the
(49:04):
Cardinals team is, they always seem to like come in the second.
Half they do, yeah. Like I don't know anything about
them and every year I'm like howthe fuck do they make it?
Yeah, so baseball town, man, they love their Cardinals there.
It's a cool spot to watch the game.
Yeah, I'm trying to man this thing is so otherwise there's no
real support. I would say the Cubs a little
(49:24):
bit surprising because it kind of wet event last.
Year I think viewership now is going to for me it's going to
pick back up obviously you know with the NFL draft passed March
Madness is now gone we're in thethick of college baseball still
I'll continue to watch that but midweek right there's not a lot
of college baseball until the weekend so my you know Monday
through Thursday viewership willbe probably even more to the
(49:47):
Braves now so. Well, I have FanDuel now.
Yeah. Yeah, we're done.
I think I'm cheating off Jacob. Yeah, he got it.
So do you watch baseball? I mean, Mitch.
You watch the whole games. Or anything I, you know, I, I
look at it every once in a while.
Seems like whenever the Blue Jays are in a tight game and I
turn it on, they find a way to lose.
(50:09):
It's a shame I am watching some ACE games now though.
I've got the MLB, you know, package through T-Mobile, so I'm
usually only good for about 3 innings, you know, 10:00 start,
you know. So yeah, Curse has been a West
Coast fan. So the Tigers, 1912, they
started strong last year. They actually finished pretty
good last year. Think they're pretty team, Good
team. Cleveland's always pretty good.
(50:31):
Kansas City's 500. Seattle, they're in first.
Houston's going to wind up. Feels like Houston's always
good. They're on the down slope for
sure. A's are.
I mean, that's a look everybody's. 14/16/15 and. 15
There you go. But the angels, why are they so?
Bad that angels are terrible. What, is Trout going to leave?
Yeah, never. I mean, they just sign.
(50:52):
They sign Beth, the best playersin baseball, and they don't ever
do anything. It's kind of a black hole out
there. It's a little bit God awful.
The Mets are best team in baseball, 21 and 9.
The brains are 7 out. Look, it's not going to last.
The Mets haven't played anybody. You'll see.
The Dodgers are 21 and 10, Andre's 1911, the Giants 19 and
12 and. Then they're going to eat their
(51:14):
own young out there, right? They're all going to start
playing each other. I hadn't started yet either, so.
Yeah, you know that that the. The cream will rise to the top,
as you said. The cream will rise to the top,
right. Yeah, like Randy used to say.
So yeah, we'll see. So.
Mitch, man, I mean, it's warm weather.
You doing a lot more work on thefarm now.
(51:37):
Yeah, man, you know, got to mow this property like every six
days now or it's, you know, up to my shins.
We're going to be out alpaca here in a week or so.
Really. How many 6?
How many 6? What?
And you're getting 6 alpacas, 6 alpaca.
(52:00):
A couple months ago we had some more chickens, so we're growing
up here. Tell me what the value added
having alpaca? I have no idea.
You don't. You don't shave them.
You can't. Sell their fur or anything like
that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Are they just pretty? They're pretty.
They're nice. Yeah, I mean.
(52:22):
Are they pretty? Ted's right.
Ted's right. You shave.
You shave them down. You sell their fibers.
Yeah, it's like a, it's like a, it's a, you know, cash crop
right there. Pretty much, yeah.
You don't go to petting zoo. I mean, we again have people
come in and, you know, set that up.
I mean like a. We have discussed it.
Oh, they look like a like a llama.
They look like a llama. Yeah.
(52:43):
OK, well, they're kind of cute. Can you ride them?
They're about 130 lbs, so no. I know you can eat them.
Do you have any plans to eat these things at all?
Or you can pretty much eat. Anything.
That's the question. Have you eaten any of the
animals on your farm yet personally?
No, no, no chickens want to include.
(53:04):
I don't, hey, I don't have anything for dinner ready, just
go slaughter a chicken. I mean, none of that's
happening. Not happening, you know, once
again been been discussed, you know, I wonder.
What is alpaca eat? What did alpacas eat?
Like grass? Yeah, they eat grass and then
they have their their feet and Idon't really know all I when,
(53:28):
when I know, I'll know, you know, and then I'll just be
feeding them, taking care of them.
Hey, that's just more shit to clean up.
Yeah, literally yes. Yeah.
Hey, doing with that, can you put that in piles and make like,
you know, dung balls out of it or like any kind of fertilizer,
anything? That's another thing that that
we've been talking about. We need to set up a system to do
(53:51):
some. I just lost the word, but you
know what it is. Eco recycling or I don't know
what that's called. Bio Bio Something.
Can't think of the word right now.
Right, all right, I can't wait to.
Hey, the petting zoo is on its way, bro.
Yeah, come on it. May have to help.
Man, you know Saturdays, you know.
You could put a jumpy machine jumpy thing area for little
(54:12):
kids. Little bounce house A.
Wine bar for the moms. Yeah, you're good, man.
You know the wine and. Cheese and alpacas, right?
Yeah, make sure they sign a waiver.
Not my fault if you get an accident leaving.
I know a guy who might sponsor the drinks there, you know?
Yeah, yeah. Oh, wow.
(54:32):
Nice. So I know you so TV shows.
So we started watching the second season of Last of Us.
Have you seen that? It's on HBO Max, It's with Pedro
Pascal. It's kind of like a Walking
Dead, but I think far better theseason 2.
I don't know, I like The WalkingDead better, but yeah.
(54:54):
But I mean, the season 2 one of this is, I mean, they, they
shake some shit up. They're not scared.
Yeah, we haven't watched it yet.Which is pretty good.
And then we're watching the Jon Hamm show on Apple plus Apple
TV. Neighbors something neighbors.
And he's a he's a high-powered broker in the financial, gets
railroaded, loses his job, and he turns to crime, robbing his
(55:18):
neighbors. It's kind of actually pretty
good. It's not a comedy, it's a drama.
There's some blood, there's somethis and that, but it's pretty
entertaining. I.
Started second swing the G1. I started that on my own.
Yeah, Bo and I watch it. We got through I think 3
episodes. Good.
It's always good. Yeah, cool.
They. Do a good job.
Yeah, they walk through the master stuff that that amateur
(55:40):
guy, I remember him. That was that was a good story.
So yeah, that's always a good show.
We'll crank through that. We're still doing Last Kingdom.
We're trying to. I love.
That trying to get through it. We just got started season 4, so
I think we got four and five left.
Then we'll be done and we got tofigure something else out.
I thought all about Ozark today.I was like, why aren't you
watching Ozark? Ozark.
He had never seen it because he sent me a movie. 1 and I can't
(56:03):
really name. It's coming out in August, and
it's got the girl from Ozark, a young girl who was so good in
that. Yeah.
Yeah. And you, Marty.
Yeah, exactly. Fucking Marty Bird.
Yeah. And what's the dude from Country
for Old Men? Not the villain, but the guy who
was the cowboy in it. He's Josh.
Brolin. Yeah, rolling right.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. They're in some horror movie.
(56:25):
It looks, it looks really fucking scary.
I was like, holy. Shit that looks good.
You don't like that stuff? No, I do.
I like we. Chris does not like Chris.
Like the gore and stuff. Love the gore.
But no, I I love the, you know, love the horror movies.
Owen does too. So yeah, well, he showed me that
and I was like, didn't you? I was like, I said something
about her and I was like, well, you know, I heard from Ozark.
He's like, no, I never watched Ozark.
I was like what is wrong with you son?
(56:48):
Our boys are at a concert tonight.
They are. What are they seeing?
No idea, but kind of electric. My son's supposed to be here at
the house. 9:30 tomorrow morning.
For what? Wheels up.
We're going to Tennessee. Yeah, I guarantee.
Family trip. It's going to be late.
How many, How many people are going?
How many Millers? How many?
Well, it's Millers us. 4 Natalie's meeting us there, and
(57:08):
it's all like Randalls and bees, yeah.
They're going to. Dollywood.
Well, we're, we're staying in Pigeon Forge.
There's people going to Dollywood.
I don't know if I'm going or not.
I don't. I mean, you're going.
To go to the Kentucky Derby, isn't that this weekend?
I. Mean we're not do we're going to
do we're going to drink some bourbon and tulips.
Yeah. So.
(57:28):
So Mitch, you watching anything? No, I was all draft coverage for
me leading up, you know, pretty, pretty, pretty boring, you know,
on that front. What?
So I I will tell you you should watch this.
I finished it. I don't know.
You should I recommend it. Daredevil born again or reborn?
Yeah, on yeah. Disney gonna rewind.
(57:51):
Awesome. Yeah, awesome.
OK, they didn't Do you know Disney didn't like do a Disney
thing? They got like the blood and
guts, the gore. Like they kept it like how it
was on Netflix. Actually, I think they amped it
up at a tad in my opinion. I was going to rewatch Daredevil
before I watched that. I well, I remember pretty much
most of it anyway, but it's not a bad idea.
(58:14):
But dude, check it out. I think I told you to watch it.
It is entertaining, it's funny and it it's kind of setting up
for the next like everything's going to start coming together
like all these other characters from other movies or other TV
shows. And I won't say the Punisher's
back. Yeah.
(58:34):
Love him. Yeah, I didn't know him and he
might be my favorite one becauseI'm probably more like him.
Like superhero Punisher. Yeah, yeah, OK.
I don't know about another one. Dude, it was on Netflix
originally. And then he's he's in this
Daredevil, which was. Watch a lot of shows man.
I know. No, I don't.
I don't. It's just what I do.
I just blow through and I'm and I'm done.
(58:55):
Yeah. Watch like a you watch more
sports tonight. I watch a lot of sports, a lot
of cooking shows. Chris watching the.
I don't do watch. Jeopardy and then by the time,
that's why we only do like 1 show at a time.
So you're always giving a shit. Like what are you watching?
Like, I'm still on this, you know, we're on shows for months
sometimes. Because your wife goes to bed, I
guess she. Does a bit early over the summer
we'll get then I'm going to get through more so, but yes, up
(59:19):
early. Oh, shit.
All right, real quick, we got todo the update.
There was no pickleball or season's over, we didn't have
any practice, and we're startingsummer in about a month.
Yeah, but I missed cornhole lastly because I had a lot going
on and we got our ass escaped last week.
Last week, yeah. And then this week.
This week was very competitive, was very, it was a good, it was
a mid range team. I think we certainly could have
(59:41):
beaten them. I played golf yesterday and I
got up at like 6:00 in the morning.
It was sunburned and kind of drunk to be honest with him.
So when I got there I was like, you know, kind of shaking off,
you know the the cobwebs a little bit.
I played pretty well. I started with A4 bagger first
round, but he had a four bagger as well.
That motherfucker, this guy on my end we had two 4 baggers, 2
tens twice we pushed and eights we pushed so I couldn't get a
(01:00:04):
lot going on him. Tom played really well.
We lost the first match after being up 19 nine.
They were both good and then. Second match or second game,
Todd and Tom won early handily, but then they lost Game 3 so we
lost the match. So we've only won one, one match
this season at this schoolhouse brewery.
(01:00:25):
We'll give them a plug. Pretty cool spot.
They got ping pong and arcade games inside.
Oh, it's very cool. We're in advance.
We're not advance. Yeah, we're.
I'm more like intermediate, but with you guys who are
intermediate. I think you know, like they say,
sometimes good, sometimes sheet.So.
So we're doing our own thing. We're going.
(01:00:45):
We're doing cornhole with the wives this summer, May.
Yeah. Mixed devils Mixed.
Devils. My wife's terrified because she
doesn't. I'm like, we'll throw some bags,
but Mitch wits get on the calendar to come up to see you
play some cornhole, go swimming. We can.
We could cook out some meats. Ride the alpacas, maybe eat one,
(01:01:06):
yeah. Great.
I think that would be fun. When the weather gets warmer, we
could spend the night, I don't know, in the garage.
I don't know wherever you want to put us.
Yeah, in the barn with the barn animals, Yeah.
And be like Jesus Christ, right? And Joseph came home, you know.
I think it would be fun, yeah, no pressure, but let's let's get
that on the on the. Definitely getting on the books,
but you guys might have to bunk together.
(01:01:26):
You know, it's not, it's not like my old house.
I don't have rooms galore up here.
I'll sleep on the fucking sleeping bag.
I don't give a shit. Give Ted the whatever.
I mean, Ted's got his thing now. He's not snoring.
That's it. Sleep machine.
Life changing, Mitch, life changing.
You got the Darth Vader machine going, yeah?
Oh yeah, I mean, you've noticed I'm in a much better mood.
We started doing a podcast. Right after it.
(01:01:48):
So yeah. Hey, man, it's working.
That's fantastic, dude. Well, it's electric.
Yeah. I mean, a lot of people in it.
So. All right, so we're wrapping up
episode 16. Thank you, Miss, for joining us.
I know you love doing this. Anytime I know you're.
We'll probably tap you some more.
(01:02:08):
Maybe during the schedule release or that would be the end
of the summer when we get closerto yeah.
Dude, I can bring that. We could do a live feed at the,
at the farm, at the from the Lander, the Lander estate.
That's it. So we are live with the alpacas.
Yeah, we could put a Falcon hat on one.
(01:02:29):
So, All right, Ted 1. Of those big hats.
Yeah, the big, the big hats withdrink.
We snack and we repeat.
