First and foremost, everything's going good, Everything's okay.

What have you kind of learned?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Dan Quinn talked a lot about communication and kind of
those thoughts that you guys are learning as the days
go on.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
How much have you learned so far?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Learned a lot?

Speaker 5 (00:20):
You know, really out here is just wanted to compete
and make everybody else better.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
So you know, just coming in every day.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
With a great mindset, being positive and you know everything
will work.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Out for yourself.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Is it still a little surreal or have you kind
of sunken into the.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
Day to day now?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
It really just happened today. Just now. I was like, man,
I'm really here.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
So I just gotta keep on having that great mindset,
mindset and you know, just.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Keep on being with my feet are.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Last year, Mike Sanders still came in here and had
a heck of a first season for a defensive back.
So seeing what he did last year, how excited does
that make you for what you can come here and
do with Washington.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, you know it's gonna be really exciting.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
You know, I'm gonna be able to you know, learn
from his footsteps and uh, learning his tools, learn how
to communicate and just just being a sponge, you know,
just soaking up all types of information. But yeah, we
really looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
To kind of play on that.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Marshawn Lattimore is a pro Bowl corner and he's a
physical corner.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Do you see a little bit of your game in
his game? You know.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Everybody game is different, but you know you can still
learn from it, and you know, just keep on getting
every all the knowledge you can and you know, being
where he at, looking forward to you know, learning from him,
you know, being the same meetings and just seeing how
everything rolls and just being confident, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
So Okay, Trey, after you were drafted, there were some
reports that came out that you had a back issue
that caused you to fall off some teams boards. I'm
just wondering what you made in those reports and really
most importantly, how's your health?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Has your back? Uh? Everything's good.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
You know, I'm out here still competing, practicing uh every day,
so really know, you know signs.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Hey Trey, talk a little bit about you when you
look at the cornerback room now with all of those
guys to that Mikey a lot of more. Uh, Jonathan Jones,
what do you add to that room?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
What do I add to that room? I feel like.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
I feel like as a group, we can all build
off each other, so, you know, just being a great teammate,
you know, helping each other out, just learning from each other,
just building that chemistry. I feel like that could really
just build our dB group and you know, a whole
different level.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Uh So, Trey, what did you learn about being at
different places that may help you come into a new
place and make a transition to the NFL.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Just learning to you know, adjust, Uh, you know every
place is different, but you know you still got.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
To uh, you know, get to know people. Uh just
just be yourself.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Uh So I feel like that's the biggest uh lesson
from you know, jumping storm.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
And I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off
a little bit about from the classroom to the field
and everything. What have you learned in the classroom early on?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Right now? Say it again?

Speaker 4 (03:25):
What have you learned in the classroom as you start
to learn the playbooks and everything, and then taking it
out on the field of play.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
I feel like I learned, you know, big on note,
taking note taking is a uh big thing for me,
so uh getting that downpack and you know, trans transitioning
you know, out down the field really helped me get
out the classroom and really seeing the whole visual and
learning what I studied and just going out there and
just making plays.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Try.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
I'm sure that you had thoughts, you had feelings. You
knew that you would make it to this level, probably
from once you were in middle school, high school at least.
What's it like though when you put that helmet on,
you knew that you were a pro, You knew that
you had made it to this level.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
What was that moment like for you? Man?

Speaker 5 (04:14):
It was just like it was special. You know, been
having his drink since, you know, little kid, and finally here.
You know, I just want to keep on producing, keep
on you know, just being myself what got me here,
Just keep on evolving. Like I always say, so, I
don't want to think too high, I think too low.
Just keep everything chill and you know everything and go

(04:36):
play off for yourself and just keep God first.

Speaker 7 (04:39):
And I don't know if you know this, but this
Washington Command is community number one. The fan base is
super strong. A lot of them are really excited for
you to come out here and make an impact. I
wonder what your message is to that fan base that's
really excited to see you come out here and to
make an impact.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Just ready, you know, it's just ready. I can't really
say too much.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
I just I'm just ready to go out there, keep
on competing, being with the guys. You know, really appreciate
the fan base and everything. So everything's gonna be no good.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
So yeah, yeah, Just one quick follow up on the
back question and do you expect to have any limitations
or to really deal with it much as the season
goes on. I'm regunding your back that report your back.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
Do you expect to have.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Any limitations or really deal with it much the season
goes on.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
No, Like I said before, you know, I'm out there
doing everything. So you know, I'm practicing competing still, so
you know, everything is in a great mindset, great.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
You know direction cool, And you talked about Marshall Lotimore
and staying herself.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
What is your process for.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
For getting that communication down pat with the guys you're
you're playing on side?

Speaker 5 (05:50):
You know that's just film study, getting extra work with
the coaches, Uh, seeing what things I need to work
on just just finding ways to you know, keep on
growing mm physically.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
And you know mentally so from the neck up. And
that's why everything would be good.

Speaker 8 (06:07):
Co think here And my apologies if you've already been
hate this question, but can you share a this trait
about your open Like what when you step on the field,
what is the energy level that you bring? Or how
do you describe your game? What do opponents need to
be looking out for when you get out there?

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Really I don't bring much energy, but you know I
keep everything relaxed, calm, everything chill, and you know, once
I'm on the field helmet on, everything's just like you know,
zones out and I'm just worried about, you know, my
assignment and you know, I'm just going after and like
backyard football, everything just you know disappears while I'm on

(06:42):
on the field.

Speaker 8 (06:43):
And did you have a chance to check out the
Commanders at all last season in terms of just watching
the game or anything, and what what was your takeaway
from what this team did last year?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Man?

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Like I had watched some games, especially in the playoffs, uh,
and it was just like a a gree great you know,
good setting, and you know I wanna I wanna build
to that too. I wanna come in, you know, be
a good you know, team player, just just help to
grow like I always do.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
And yeah yeah yeah
