Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh, welcome to Madrid.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Just obviously practice is practice.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
But have you had a chance at all to sample
the fair in Madrid or as it's just been business
so far, both of you.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
Yeah, I think we came in you know, yesterday and
you know, just kind of getting off the plane. You know,
everyone had their you know, type of different recovery, whether
it's like not get enough sleep on the plane or
you know, trying to get in the best shape possible
to transfer over the time change and everything like that.
But yeah, we've been We had a good amount of
time yesterday, a little bit to get out and venture
out and see the see the area where we were

(00:35):
at in our hotel.

Speaker 5 (00:36):
Yeah, a lot of a lot of people were zombies
yesterday trying to get accimated to the environment. And obviously
the time difference. You know, some people try to not nap.
I failed. I napped, But uh yeah, you know, another
day hopefully, uh tonight we'll just readjust and everything goes smooth.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
I just for both of you, I guess, just what
is it like using these facilities playing on the field
out there, house up and pretty guys so far? Yeah,
I mean it's a little different in regards of you know,
being on a soccer field here for the walk through
that we had today. But uh but no, we we adapt.
I mean it was a it was a great walk
through we had. We were really efficient and what we

(01:25):
want to accomplish day on the field and everything. And
now we got meeting's coming up after our post lift here.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Yeah, I think it's pretty cool to be here. It's
kind of exciting to see the facilities and be a
part of this and experience this. You know, Uh, not
a lot of people get to do this. You know,
this is soccer is a worldwide phenomenon, so sport, and
you know, it's it's really cool to be a part
of this and be able to experience this. Hi guys,

(01:57):
I mean in what kind of autmost field do you
expect the way interestinly on the stadium?

Speaker 4 (02:01):
What do you say atmosphere? I mean you gotta be
ready for everything in regards of like weather, but atmosphere
is and like fans and everything like that. It'll be
interesting to see. But again, like we'll be ready for
everything and see how many fans travel through uh coming

(02:23):
from rigid from from Washington, but uh, just exciting, like
Sam Souid before, like we got to see it like
the outside part of the stadium, I think on the
way here, so it was pretty cool from the outside.
Can't wait to get in there.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
I hope they're loud for our defense and quiet for offense,
so that that will help a lot.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
One of the things Dan has talked about is getting
away and spending their time together and how beneficial it
was last year in Arizona. What can this team gain
at this point the season from a week like that.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I think it's huge. I think, you know, especially going
to another country. I mean, I'm not sure how my
Spanish is, but uh, you know, just being around the
guys and doing this together and this part of the
season too, where you know, this is a great time
for us to you know, hone in on how how
great we can be with one another and how much

(03:21):
we can accomplish here. But also too, like enjoying the process,
like you you always want to enjoy the process of
of going into these games, but also coming here and
like experiencing different culture and everything like that, Like it's
really it's really cool to experience with with guys.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Yeah, I mean being able to spend extra time with
the guys and being able to experience something like this
is special, you know, And I think this week for sure,
uh king in on really being able to communicate more,
uh and be more on the details, get a little
bit extra meetings, you know, I, me and Ty we're

(03:57):
talking about you know, our sets out there right now
and just being on the same page and fine tuning
those little details and you know, just getting back to
the fundamentals for sure.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Hey, guys, how you doing. I can't achieved from Washington, DC.
But my question is, uh, the NFL keeps globalizing, right,
it keeps it, it keeps expanding. You just mentioned the
fact that soccer is a worldwide sport. How big is
it for you guys to be a part of that
expansion for the NFL And when you were growing up
that you imagine that you would be playing football across

(04:31):
the world. And also have you had any thought us yet?

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I mean for myself, I didn't, you know, I didn't
really think there was a huge like international part of
the NFL. But just seeing it grow within the years
like we've been in the league, it's it's awesome. It's
really cool to uh, you know, showcase the NFL in
different countries and uh, also have them become a part
of it, you know. I think that's why, you know,

(04:58):
soccer is so globals at every country, he is a
part of it. And uh, but also like the exciting part,
like when's you know, when's the next time we're gonna
come to Madrid? Being able to play? You know, that's
it's always uh you always kind of your blessings for sure.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Yeah, it's definitely a cool experience. Never really thought that
this would be a possibility, for sure. So being able
to experience the experience this is it's just, like I said,
a really cool experience. And uh, you know, Uh, I'm
still getting used to the time change. And so I
woke up at five this morning and I was really hungry,

(05:32):
and I went on TikTok and just looked up a
bunch of food places. So I'm definitely gonna look get
some top us and churos and uh, there's a lot
of a lot of stuff around here, So don't worry,
I'm gonna be uh diving into that at first.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Hi, Well, do you personally have to change your routine
jury in game week because of being a broad here?

Speaker 4 (05:55):
I mean there's certain things just like like getting used
to like the space of like being in a hotel
and being in that meeting space that basically turns into
your facility in a way. And obviously like traveling to
like practice fields, so there's like the the that like
type of stuff. But uh, but at the same time,

(06:17):
I mean in your free time, like you're in Madrid,
so you know, you're going out and experiencing the culture restaurants,
you know, seeing sight seeing and everything like that. So
a little bit, but at the same time, like we're
in the day one of the week, you know, starting today,
and uh, you know we're at the same time and
joined the process. But at the same time, you know,
winning you know, playing football, winning process.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Yeah, I think obviously your routine kind of changes a
little bit. Uh as day to day by day you
try to simulate as much as you can. You know,
I know at home, I have a certain routine once
I get home for like treatment base. I know, TI
has a ton of stuff at his house, you know,
and so yeah, that changes. You have to figure out
that in the little little things just to make sure

(07:02):
you're ready and ready to go for game day.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Same this comes at a the trip comes at a
difficult time. In the season when things aren't going well.
I wonder, you know, how you look at the differences
between how things went last year and this year and
if you think they're you're kind of close in some way.
This team is very similar or just like Miles and
Miles away.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
I mean, it's a different, different season. I mean we've
experienced a lot of challenges along the way, you know,
with a lot of you know, unfortunately a lot of
guys going down and trying to you know, next men
mentality type of thing. But you know, it's it's that's
a difficult part for sure. Like for me, I I
came in midway during the season, so like I said,

(07:47):
like Tye had to go through what two other guards
next to him, you know, and so you know, he
had to get used to me again. So it's just
like building that chemistry and doing all that stuff. So yeah,
I mean, yeah, that's difficult. But again, we're all professionals.
We all have to put in the work to find
a way to win, and that's the main focus for sure.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
And then kind of in a similar vein, obviously when
the losses start to pile up, it it gets I
guess easier to fingerpoint or you know, kind of detect
what other people are doing wrong. How do you guys
avoid doing that and kind of maintain this culture that
DQ has tried to build.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
It's a team game, simple man. I mean, you got
all eleven on the field for three phases and it
hones into the marginal games where the small details and
you know, we got all hone in on that.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
I think from that standpoint, you know, you can only
control what you can control, and you know, from our
standpoint as o line, that's you know, our details being
on the same page, communicating across the board. You know,
also not just you know with the queues and tight
ends and again controlling the offensive side of the ball.
For us, you know, every day I come to work

(09:02):
and I'm like, hey, what can I do that, you
know a little bit better each and every day. What
can I do to prepare ourselves just to be you know,
a step forward in the game. So from that standpoint,
it doesn't do any us any good finger pointing and
do any of that. That just divides us. And the
biggest thing is just focusing on what we can do

(09:22):
better and individually, what you can do better to make
the team be able to win games. Yeah, thank you guys.
